Best Thermostat Repair in Austin TX

Had a whole house estimate done as we need two new HVAC systems, insulation, duct work, etc. for the new house we just purchased. Was told the estimate would be to me in 1-2 days. Since we're now on day seven and haven't heard back guess they're not interested in performing the work. Shame, the reviews seemed very positive.

I installed new AC/Heating units from Honest Air Conditioning and Plumbing.  Today they came out to do the fall maintenance in preparation for the cooler months.  I had wanted an air scrubber for one of the units, and the technician, Alex, was very helpful in explaining my options and gave me a very reasonable quote. So in addition to the fall maintenance, he installed an air scrubber in not time at all.  Honest Air is by far one of the most reliable and reputable service companies that I have retained!

Daniel was great. Nice guy, it doesn't seem like you have a plumber in the house. It's more like a buddy helping with the project. Very conscious of your home unlike any of the other plumbers in the Brazos Valley. Also, he charges by the job and was upfront with all the costs that could be incurred, not by the hour or any other type of hidden charges that other plumbers use. I will be using him again if anything goes wrong.

I signed up for their maintenance plan because my air conditioner is getting up there in age, and I want to extend its life as long as I possibly can. I looked at a different company that was cheaper, but they couldn't schedule me for a month. Fox could get to me in two days, so that was worth the extra dollars to me. The technician that came out, Richard, was on time, polite, friendly, and fast. He cleaned my filthy unit and assured me that he didn't see any problems. Peace of mind worth every penny. Thanks.

Very friendly, efficient people, attentive to all problems mentioned and prompt to accommodate their customers. They were very quick at pointing out some minor problems to us that could lead eventually to major problems. We will be using them again very soon to upgrade our bathrooms. I just felt robbed.  $79 service fee and then $1000 estimate to just diagnose my problems of a simple doorbell check, ceiling fan check, and taking a look at a tripped circuit.  Holy smokes!  I told them they needed to go after they told me it would be at least $1000.  $79 for them to tell me I need to pay $1000.  Robbery

We called Radiant out for an AC tune up as we noticed our downstairs system was running a couple of degrees hotter at times. We have also used them in the past for plumbing and we very happy with those services. When their tech came out to visit he told us both our systems were in complete failure and that a systems specialist would need to come out - and could come out same day to quote us on replacements as there were no options to repair that would make any sense. Needless to say we were surprised and concerned as we were told this was a health issue and when we had called the systems weren't failing, one was fine and one working but not as well as we liked. The specialists came out and gave us repair options of $8K up to replacements options up to $24K. We were encouraged for replacements however since the repairs were costly and would not truly fix our issues. I have a near and dear friend fortunately with his own AC expertise and called him in a panic (I didn't call him in the first place since he lives across town and had just thought our 11 year old ACs needed service). Luckily he came out, checked things, added Freon and let us know that we'll continue to monitor to see if there actually was a leak or something more in need of repair. For zero dollars (I did send him a gift for essentially saving us $20k).
Had Radiant  been playing the long game here and offered to do the same, they would have made more $$ than trying a scare tactic of needing full blown repairs and replacements with no options less than $8k. I know everyone is in the business to make money but please go elsewhere for this and ALWAYS get a second opinion. We were lucky we weren't in full blown summer temps and broken systems but even then - go where they will have some integrity and give you repair options within reason. Lesson learned that I wanted to share as there will be companies that will do this the right way. This just isn't one of them.

We had been watching the dry rot under our front eaves get worse over the past couple of years, but did not know whom to call for a fix. So I called ABC, whose folks do a good job on our plumbing and HVAC and asked if they had a repair guy. Humberto did a great job in a few hours. The wood he got for the fix was the only cost add-on and it was reasonable in price. We already had the primer and exterior paint. He did a better job than I had done on a similar project at the back of the house.

This company was referred to us by a very pleased client. We had a busted valve o a holding tank during the deep freeze of Feb 2021. He got to us ASAP and did a super job of getting our water back on. Reliable and Trustworthy. We will use him again when necessary. His price was reasonable and we appreciate how he took care of us. Thanks.

Once again this company came through. This time we had plumbing services at our home done. The plumber came out, assessed the problem, gave the very reasonable quote, and once I gave the ok, he was promptly to work fixing the issue. Greg, the plumber, was very courteous and so nice. The work was completed quickly and diligently. I am hands down a fan of using this company repeatedly.

My AC was not working and I needed it fixed in  a rush and they were able to get someone over within a couple hours. Thomas was the guy who showed up, he was very personable and knowledgeable. I thought this was going to cost me a ton of money and had no idea what was wrong with it,  they probably could have ripped me off without me knowing, but they didn't. He had it running again within 30 minutes at a very reasonable price.

On June 21, I made an appointment for a visit on June 30, between 11 and 1. At 1:30, when noone had arrived or contacted me, I called, and was told that the technician was delayed at another visit, but would be here soon.
At 3:30, I received a text from a service manager, Aaron, saying that a tech was available. I called, and was told that the appointment he saw was for 8-5, which I would not have made for June 30, as I needed to leave home by 4:30. However, I was given the impression the technician would be there within minutes.
At 4:10, however, the technician still had not arrived. I texted Aaron to cancel the visit. The impression Goettl made on me is that they cannot be relied upon.

Here we go again! I paid Jon Wayne 30K cash for a brand new HVAC system in June 2020 and have had nothing but problems with my HVAC system since May 2021.  
They came out to do the yearly maintenance in May 2021 and ever since then my HVAC system has broken down three times since then.  
I noticed that it was getting warm in my house tonight and could hear the system going full speed so I took a look at the thermostat and it was reading 78 degrees.  I usually keep my house at 74 degrees.  I called Jon Wayne and reported it and explained that this is now the fourth time this was happening in which I got the okay we'll send someone out in the morning attitude.  What made me upset is when I asked her what I needed yo to about the system blowing out air at a rapid rate and would it damage my system and was told that's up to you if you want to turn it off.  Sorry but I have paid you guys 30k cash in June 2020 including an additional $600 in May 2021 for a yearly membership in which my system is insured and the technician will come out and service my HVAC system anytime at no cost.  What a bunch of bull!
I'm going to go on YouTube, TikTok, Nextdoor, and the local news media to tell them what a scam this company is...

Still waiting for a call back from a Service Manager and General Manager for an in warranty repair. After they made the sale of a new unit now they don't want to do the repairs. We have been without AC for 9 days now as we are ignored and calls are not returned. We are told the service manager will call within 2 hours and here we are another week and no response at all! Horrible customer service, BBB Suspended this companies account, that should tell you all you need to know. I am extremely disappointed in how unprofessional this company is run. On time Elmer's is a joke. Still waiting for our AC unit to be repaired we bought it only 2 years ago and the coils are leaking and we get no response at all from the company.
