I seem to have bad luck with plumbers. Finding a good
one is like finding Waldo! But I struck gold with Drains
Unlimited and Master Plumber James. After numerous
plumbers did not return my calls or emails (with pictures
of the leak!),  James determined that the faucet I had
purchased to replace the corroded oldster that came with
the house, would not fit the wall pipes. Oh, no, I said,
love this faucet. It has 'hot' and 'cold' on the handles. James
was not deterred. He showed me pictures of the brand he
wanted to buy that would fit the pipes, and drove to the
supply store to snag one just like the one I bought that didn't work. Couldn't be more pleased with this nicety and with the installation and clean up. He went the extra mile. I could get used to this. Will,
without question, use this company again and ask for James. Let me add that Linda, who fields phone calls and makes appointments, is
efficient, attentive and actually calls you back when you leave your number.

I was introduced to this company because our building recommended them. They are professional and let me know what I need or don't need so they don't overcharge me.

Others keep getting recommended but they are hard to get a hold of or don't offer the same experience as Drains Unlimited.

Drains unlimited saved the day. I recently remodeled a home. The contractor did not uninstall my bidet. Despite me mentioning it plenty of times as well as playing the seat next to the new toilet I purchased. But this is not about them. I reached out to Drains, spoke with Linda who was kind, courteous and knowledgeable. We talked about the job and she had me send in some photos. The reason the job was so complex is because the toilet actually needed to be taken off and reinstalled with the seat attached because the space we have is not so big. The guys came out. Looked at it. Gave me a fair price and said they can try to do what I asked. Well they freaking did it. My poops have never been better. They wife loves the heated seat haha.

Thank you Drains!!!!

James of Drains Unlimited just left our house. He did a great job on a few small plumbing jobs around the house that had mounted up. The price was reasonable, he clearly knew exactly what he was doing, and he was super efficient and friendly. Our neighbor recommended them and now I feel happy to know that I have found a great plumbing company that I will rely on for all my plumbing needs.

There are certain companies that just need to close up shop & in my opinion this one of them. I have used them a few times but each time my experience has been so so. This time around I just had enough of the poor service & lack of professionalism.
1. I asked for a heads up so I'm not wasting my time. I got a 30 mins out call at 8:10 am for my appointment. I asked Linda for the crew ETA, she says 30 mins. They show up at 9:08 an hour later.
2. I asked if the guys could fasten 2 faucet heads that I noticed were loose while I waiting for close to an hour which I'm happy to pay for. The guy says they can't and it needs to be added to the work order. Seriously, would have taken 10 mins for both. They have the tools, there are 2 guys and they can't do it.
3. Linda is a grumpy customer service person that has the amiability & helpfulness of a security guard at Guantanamo Bay.
No thank you.

Our drains were stopped up for several days while incompetent plumbers tried incorrect fixes. One plumber inserted his machine into an opening that had nothing to do with my problem. Another proposed a $1900 fix, and possibly more. Drains Unlimited quickly determined what the problem was and completed the repair in about one hour. EXCELLENT SERVICE.

They were very professional from start to finish.  They made sure that everything was done correctly.  They are masked and covered their shoes.
James worked on my bathtub and he brought an obvious great knowledge of his profession.  All the technicians I have met were very friendly and Linda, who works in the office is so pleasant and makes sure to follow up on all the scheduling issues.  I recommend this company for all your plumbing needs.  Real good people!

My family has called on Drains Unlimited for years for our plumbing needs. Gaby, James, and Tim do an excellent job every time.  Their responses are quick and their prices are the best we've seen too.  They quote you a great price and they do not surprise you with another price. They are honest and just great people.  We are very happy with their services and highly recommend them.

After trying two other plumbers, that refused to complete the cleaned out of my main line (yearly roots maintenance job and only wanted to attempt the hydro-jet / camera up-sell scam, I finally called Drains Unlimited.

Linda was amazing over the phone and had a technician at my house with-in a couple hours. The tech came and snaked the main line with proper equipment and cleared out roots within 45 min.

I think I found my new go to plumbers. Thank you again!!!!

The shower started backing up.
I had three plumbers eventually come out to solve this.
The First plumber snaked the main line taking off the toilet, but this did not clear the tub.
He was in a hurry and left without testing any drains.
I immediately tested the tub  and it did not drain. I called him and he came back in about an hr.
He attempted to snake the tub but could not get past the trap. Then he snaked the bathroom sink through its drain which connects to the tub line before it hits the main line. This did not clear the tub either. I could see he was in a hurry and the snake may  have just gone up the roof vent.
Charged me 325.00 and I still could not use the tub.

The second plumber also tried to snake the tub and failed.
He explained he could only snake the bathroom sink if he took its trap apart which would cost more and he could not guarantee that it would clear the tub.
I passed on this route and he did not charge me anything.
Both plumbers recommended major work beneath the house to solve it  ... replacing the lines for over 2000.00

Then James came out from Drains Unlimited.
Nice guy. Been in the business for years.
He too could not get his snake past the tub trap. But after trying he seemed to take it as a challenge to solve.
Said he would snake the bathroom sink through its drain (like the first guy) and if it did not clear the tub he would not charge me.
He dropped his snake in and quickly got past the trap and down into the tub line and lo and behold it cleared the tub!
After two weeks we had a working tub again.  Charged me 95.00.

He did a few things you should look for in every plumber/contractor that you hire.
He came to solve the problem, was not in a hurry and took it as a challenge to fix it.
He tested each drain, before to see the problem, then after to measure the drainage flow,
listening for ... what did he call it?  That magical sound of a fast drain.
In the end he fixed it, and I am thankful.

Both Drains Unlimited and James in particular are highly recommended.

Alberto and Adam (the Double A-team) were amazing.

Drains unlimited was my second opinion, and I am so glad that they were honest and trustworthy.

The first company was super shady and showed me (what I think is*) footage of a previous job with their camera, because when the Double A-team put their camera in, there were ZERO issues like what had been shown to me only 2 hours before.

A&A were prompt and courteous; Linda was great in communicating and making sure I knew what was going on.

All in all, a positive experience that saved me $1500. Highest recommendation!

*It took the shady guys fiddling with the camera for a solid 5 minutes before they showed me the footage where my broken/crushed pipe was, where it took them under a minute to set it up for the main line viewing (where they recommended a separate $5000 job).

Our gas got shut off two days before Thanksgiving because the gas company detected leaks in our line during a routine inspection. We panicked because we had 12 people coming for Thanksgiving, and so we called a large company thinking they would have enough people to send someone out to fix the problem quickly despite the holiday. A guy came the next day and, after going under the house and trying to test our lines to find the leak, told me that there were so many leaks that the lines would not hold air long enough for him to pinpoint the leaks and that I'd need a re-pipe of my entire house. For this diagnosis he charged $950, and presented me with an estimate of over $11K for the re-pipe. After making it through Thanksgiving with no heat, hot water or stove, of course we called around for other estimates. Gaby from DRAINS UNLIMITED was able to identify and fix three leaks in time for me to call the gas co and pass inspection to get my gas turned back on on the same day. He also capped off some unused lines, installed a new, up-to-code gas hose to my stove and removed a shutoff valve that was installed incorrectly.  (He provided a reference for someone else to re-install the valve correctly because it was related to my floor furnace, which he doesn't handle.) And for this he only charged $350. I felt that Gaby was very fair, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend Drains Unlimited, and plan to work with them on our upcoming bathroom remodel.

kitchen drain was clogged on sunday and i tried to clear it myself ... spent 4 hours with a 25-foot drain auger ... nope ... called the $99 plumber on tv and they said they couldn't be out there until tuesday at 1pm ...

called drains unlimited at 9am monday and they said someone was available that day from 11:30am to 1pm ... great ... then i got a follow up call that someone could be there as soon as 10am ... even better ...

tim showed up, put his shoe covers on, and cleared my drain ... considering it was a slimy mess rather than one solid plug, he ran his 50-foot drain auger through a half dozen times before he pushed through the slime and let the hot water faucet do the rest of the work with a few more auger runs ...

then he double checked the pipe work under the sink and tightened everything up better than before.  after the clean-up, everything looked great.

thanks to tim for all his hard work and good advice on keeping the drains clear ... drains unlimited provided quick, complete service for $95 ... that's faster AND less expensive than than $99 deals by other plumbers on the tv/radio ...

I have used Drains Unlimited several times, and each experience has been excellent.  Their staff are professional, talented, and ON TIME!  Tim quickly fixed the plumbing issue & explained some short and long-term options to avoid this recurring issue in the future.  No hard-sell or pressure to do a major job, but I can tell you that when I decide it is time to take care of it once and for all, I'll be using Drains Unlimited.  Also, thank you to Linda in the office, you saved us today!

Our bathroom tub started spewing water on a Friday night (from a hard to reach intake line), so we had to shut-off all the water into the entire house. James from Drains Unlimited arrived early Saturday morning, with a big friendly smile, shimmied under our house, found the hard-to-access shut-off valve & shut-off the tub line! We're saved! He will return later in the week (during regular business hours) to do the major repair.

James is a great guy & a pro, with a great sense of humor, who truly bailed us out! Great, friendly, prompt service from Drains Unlimited & fair prices -- they are my new go-to plumbers! All the five-star reviews are deserved!

Holy Cow!! I've had sink flooding issues for awhile now and had given up on my landlords actually fixing the problems. Contacted Drains Unlimited after reading other positive Yelp reviews and boy they weren't wrong!! Called Tuesday and got a 2 hour window appointment for today (Thursday). The receptionist was so nice and even called to let me know when my guy was on his way. James was awesome! Knew exactly what I was talking about (especially considering I am not knowledgeable about plumbing) and fixed the problems within half an hour and for a great price! He also made my dogs day by giving them attention which they soak up! Will not hesitate to call again with an issue!

Tim showed up on time and explained everything clearly. He snaked the clean-out of our house with 4 blades. Told us we don't need regular maintenance since no roots were brought up with the blades. Then he unstopped a shower drain in our home. Courteous, articulate, and honest. A pleasure to have such a wonderful company to rely upon when we need them.

I interviewed five different companies (all with 4-5 star yelp ratings) for a major job - the repipe of my house, addition of a tankless water heater, and totally new water and gas lines to an outdoor cooking setup.

I've managed a lot of construction projects over the years, so I had a printed list ready of what I wanted done, detailed done to the width of piping, type of pipe, and method of branching.

Gaby (the owner) looked at my list, and said to me with a smile something that made me laugh really hard. He said to me: you mean, you want it done *professionally?*

Every other company barely glanced at my list, then got back to me with an incorrect quote (missing items), or a hugely expensive quote, with insane labor costs.

When I met Gaby, after he walked out the door I said to my wife I really hope his price is good, because if it is, he's hired. Thankfully, his pricing was fair, and his quote included some upgrades I didn't know to ask about (because while I might have managed construction projects, I'm not a plumber, I'm just a regular guy).

During the job it was discovered that one of my main pipes (feed from the street to the house) didn't need to be replaced - they pointed it out to me that it had been replaced recently, and removed the cost from the job. THAT is honesty! I think a lot of other people would have just gone ahead and replaced it, or worse, charged me and not bothered replacing it.

The job was done professionally and cleanly (they cleaned up every day). It took longer than they had budgeted for, but they didn't ask for more money, and they fit me in their tight schedule to finish it (they didn't skip days at the end, they just worked straight through until the job was done). They even fit in some last-minute work without complaint about the schedule.

The people you see in the pictures are the people who will work on your job. This is an important distinction: many companies subcontract when they get busy, or have a constantly rotating cast of employees. Gaby's crew cares about their employer's reputation, and it shows in their work quality.

Now that everything in my house is new, I won't need a plumber for years... but if I do - Drains Unlimited will be my first and only call!

This was the 3rd plumber I had at the house  in 7 weeks to try and fix my clogged toilet. They arrived on time..used the snake ...no luck.  Went under the house..evaluated the problem.  Told me the cost and that they would return at 2:00. They did.replaced 10' of pipe....fixed it.  This problem has been going on for actually over 7 weeks...They will be my first call in the future. On time..and they keep their word and I felt very reasonable cost.

Excellent!  We had a partial drain blockage. One big firm came and was not able to clear it. Told us we need new pipes. Another plumber gave us an estimate to dig up the yard and replace the main. As a last hope I called Drains Unlimited. James came. He was not able to clear it right away, but he kept at it. Tried a different bend at the end of the snake and eventually he cleared it.   Charged us way less than than the big firm charges and promised to come back with a 3/8 snake to make sure it is really clear.  He said somebody would swing by in a few days. (It's all outside the house, so they don't need us)  I thought to myself yah, right?.  But they sure did!  Excellent service!

Horrible.. charged me for work they did not do. I have been a repeat customer for 5 years, they have lost it. Not trustworthy and over charge for work.

Main line - $95 not done but charged for work
Alt line to street - $42 - yes done but I was not told this service would be extra
Kitchen sink - $42 - yes done, but again was not told this was extra
Bathroom sink - $42 - yes done, but was not told this was extra.

Now 2 weeks after this service the main line is backing up again.

Do not use these people

We had contacted several companies to replace the plumbing drain lines in our building. The other estimates were all over the place, some said no permits were needed, others quotes were ridiculously high or really low because they wanted to ensure the job then tack on charges as they went along. Gaby & his crew from Drains Unlimited quoted us one price. Very clear, and transparent AND included any permits needed from LADBS. The city inspector came by & passed their work, all done correctly to Code! This was a huge job & they were very professional. We've also used them for smaller issues like a kitchen drain clog, and they showed up promptly and had it fixed in minutes! No attempts to upsale or recommendations for anything we don't need. Really happy with this company and will definitely use again.

Finally found our plumber!!!  Can't say enough great things about Drains Unlimited!!  We will be using them for our annual sewer line cutting & I would recommend them to anybody.

Came home to our bathroom and two side rooms underwater... I slipped, cut my foot really badly, bleeding everywhere, panicked & called any plumber that would come to our house immediately.

Unfortunately it was Rescue Rooter- LA Basin- he snaked the sewer line ($253)/ fixed a sink ($150). Total cost = $403  Then the supervisor (Chris H) came & used a camera for inspection- gave me the $275 price for free but then told me it would cost between $1000 to $10,000 to actually get the job done.  (Actual estimate- $275 to locate the roots (when they had already seen it from the camera) & $900 to jet out the roots. SERIOUSLY?!?!  When I told him that I needed it written down & I was going to call other companies for additional quotes he became rude/ short and said that he had two other stops to make.

I called for quotes & was really impressed with Linda from Drains Unlimited.  Patrick came the next day and again, I can't say enough great things about him too!  He was very professional but laid back and he knew exactly what was going on.  Their cost: $109.00 & recommended RootEx- slow growth on roots

Long story short... I'm updating my emergency list with this company & figuring out other reputable companies as well.

This review is way overdue since I haven't used Drains Unlimited since I left Hollywood almost 3 years ago.  But I had to call them out three times and was so happy and would recommend them to anyone.

I always had Gaby come.  He was trustworthy and prices always felt reasonable.  The issues were always minor, but they were recommended to me by a friend who needed significant re-piping after a pipe behind the closet in their condo had burst.

I want to let everyone know how great Drains Unlimited (DU) is. I've seen the great reviews on yelp, gotten confirmation of the great service from friends and scheduled them to come to fix a leak under my sink. Unfortunately because of the rains this past weekend they were completely booked on Monday when I called them so we tentatively scheduled a Tuesday morning appointment.

I was supposed to call DU back if I found a plumber to come sooner. Unfortunately I forgot to call  back and cancel after I got another plumber to help us on Monday and the DU plumber showed up as scheduled Tuesday morning. I really appreciate the professionalism and commitment to on-time appointments, and although I used another plumber this time, I will be certain to call Drains Unlimited for my future plumbing needs.

5 stars isn't enough! I wish I could give more!!!

A couple weeks ago, we had a bathroom stoppage - our home warranty company send out a plumber who said that we didn't have the proper clean-out and that they would have to either install a cleanout for $1000 or remove the toilet (about $300) and snake it from there (neither of which they could do at the time) and either option would not be covered by the home warranty.

SO, I called Drains Unlimited (after reading reviews on Yelp) and explained the problem and that they would probably have to remove the toilet to snake the issue. They sent Patrick out who was so polite and helpful. He said he would prefer not to do that but was shocked that the other company couldn't clear the stoppage through the clean out we have. He said if he could do it without removing the toilet, it would be much less messy and cheaper for us. He spent about an hour snaking (it took several attempts) but he got it! Their price was so reasonable (which the home warranty ended up covering since the first company should have been able to do the same), and they actually tried options that would save us money and not require us to clean the bathroom after!

Needless to say, I am so happy with their service. I would recommend them to ANYONE in need of a plumber and would gladly use them again.

I have never met a plumber as knowledgeable, honest, polite and helpful as Patrick, nor have I ever use a plumbing company as prompt, honest and reliable as Drains Unlimited!

Thank you!!!!

I had a great experience with Drains Unlimited.  My service man was Tim.  He was nice, personable, knowledgeable, helpful, and honest.  I had used the other two heavily rated Yelp plumbers, both with disappointing results.  I still needed a plumber, though, and found these guys on Yelp.  I'm glad I did.

It is 6:44 PM and I just called their office (without leaving them a message that I was about to leave them with a 5 star review) and they called me back immediately.  I assume this is normal practice.  I'm another happy customer.

These guys have saved me LITERALLY thousands of dollars.  When I was living abroad for a year I got a frantic phone call from Jenn R.  about a MAJOR plumbing problem back at the house...huge clog (water coming up in bathtub, sinks, toilet... everywhere) Because my house is SO old and rickety modern equipment won't snake through my pipes.  The first plumber called quoted over $2000 fix to the clog and replace all the small pipes (which they would have to tear out.)

On the recommendation of a friend, I called Gaby at Drains Unlimited.  His guys charge $75 an hour on regular calls and they don't fool around.  They had the proper equipment and know-how to work with my old-school plumbing.  My huge problem went away in less than an hour and for less than $100!!!!

I could not believe it.  I have called them for every leaky facet ever since and have never been disappointed.

We live in a 1947 house and although the plumbing was redone sometime in the 90's, it still has it's problems. These problems always seem to happen over a holiday or long weekend.

Thankfully I found Drains Unlimited a few years back and can always count on them to come out quickly without charging hundreds of dollars extra just for prompt emergency service. Gaby and Tim are the absolute sweetest most honest repairman ever. They actually take off their shoes when entering and are always great about cleaning up after the job is done. They have never suggested we do anything more that is necessary.

Another great plus is my boys love them and will watch patiently and quietly while they work. Hey, free babysitting thrown into the mix always works for me!

I have referred them to so many of my neighbors and they have never disappointed. They have been especially good with elderly neighbors who always get taken advantage of by less reputable companies.

Woo Hoo. They are the best!

I called Drains Unlimited to evaluate some existing plumbing work done at my condo for purpose of passing inspection and Gaby showed up on the same day and gave me the quote for doing the necessary fix. Another plumber James show up to perform the work. James was very helpful and super professional. He finished work for both of my bathrooms much more quickly than expected. Because my contractor failed to show up to do the strapping required by code, James did everything himself without a problem. Reasonable price and competent, friendly plumbers. I will definitely use them again in the future!

We hired Drains Unlimited to do a video sewer inspection for us yesterday on a house we're looking to buy. As with most things in the house-buying industry, it always seems like great opportunities for companies to err on the side of caution (aka: generate revenue) by pointing out anything and everything that could possibly go wrong, and then conveniently provide a solution for them (for a price). It's very much like going to the auto mechanic or the dentist--I'm always bracing myself for the ineveitable bad news.

Anyway, Gaby showed up in the time frame he stated, and immediately went to work. The video (DVD) was done right on the spot, and he left the disc with me. Everything took maybe 20 minutes tops (1500 sq ft house).

True, he may be getting 5 stars from me because he had nothing but good news. But really, he could've made up the most random crap about our sewer line (pun intended) then provided a repair estimate, and we wouldn't have known any better. Instead, he simply told the truth. So, in a way, it's sad that someone gets 5 stars just for doing the right thing. But given all the other contractors I've researched on yelp, this was one of the very few where there were very little 5-star reviews being left by reviewers who have only ever reviewed 1 company (nothing screams out FAKE REVIEW more than that).

Tip: Avoid anything on yelp that has a high star average, where majority of the reviewers have either 0 friends and/or only 1 or 2 reviews under their belts--high likelihood those are companies reviewing themselves. Something I call yelpsterbation.

Anyway, going back to Gaby and DU... they're just downright honest, ethical people, and I'm a huge fan of that. If/when we ever need plumbing work, this is definitely my first and only stop.

About the DVD: It was very thorough and clear, and Gaby does a good voiceover on the video explaining things. At one point, I saw something peculiar and said out loud: What was that?! Immediately, the video pauses, and I hear Gaby's voice say, What you just saw there was... It was pretty funny/eerie.

Also, I wouldn't recommend watching a sewer inspection dvd over dinner.

This is why I LOVE LOVE Yelpers!!

We moved into an older condo and our two bathroom drains were a bit slow and we needed to get some work done.  Well, I don't know any plumbers and I had no idea who to call so I get on yelp and Drains Unlimited had these incredible reviews so we called them.

Gaby came by and was on time and super nice.  He also took off his shoes!!!  We asians LOVE that!!  Anyways, he cleared up our drains and fixed our shower faucet  for a very reasonable price.

I can see why folks are fans of Drains Unlimited!

Two backed up sinks and I was searching Yelp for a local plumber.

Knowing that I could get a wide variety of estimates, I was looking for an established operation with a reputation for honesty. I couldn't have found a better place.

Tim arrived on time. Very polite and friendly. Explained everything and answered my annoying questions. Everything cleared from the sinks at a very reasonable price.

I am a fan for life. This is the only place to call. You can stop looking now.

I couldn't be the one to give Drains Unlimited a bad review and they made sure I didn't.  The plumber arrived as scheduled.  I didn't hear the door bell and instead of turning around and going back, I got a call.  The plumber took his shoes off as is the custom at our house, even though I told him he didn't have to.  He surmised the situation pretty quickly and snaked out the kitchen sink.  I would have been fine with that alone because that was the problem.  He also looked at my pipes and recommended that I get a new Faucet head.  For the Year and Half I lived here I thought I had bad water pressure and needed to replace my pipes.  In the back of my mind I had a multi-thousand dollar project in the wings.  Following his recommendation I went to Home Depot spent 30 bucks and now have the water pressure I was missing.

Woohoo! As good as it gets!

The gas company had shut off the gas due to a leak.   I originally called John Riordan Plumbing in hopes that they could find the leak and fix it.   What I experienced was a plumber who was more interested in selling me new pipes, new heaters and then telling me that a silver colored oval shaped object that was connected to the gas meter was against regulations and needed to be updated.  He did very little to look for the leak.

One of my neighbors recommended Drains Unlimited.  I called up the company and told them about the gas leak.    I was able to schedule an appointment for that same afternoon between 12-2 p.m.

Around 12 Gaby showed up with his assistant and he immediately started looking for the leak.   After ten minutes of performing tests on the gas meter pipes Gaby located the leak right there in the pipes near the gas meter.    He installed new pipes then re-pressured the system.   He charged me a total of $160 for labor and parts.

John Riordan Plumbing estimate for new pipes, new heater, etc. $3,900.00
Oh, and a separate bill of $99.00 service charge .

According to the representative of So Cal Gas Company, the silver colored oval shaped object is THEIR safety locking  mechanism.

I have used this company several times.  Each time, they did not disappoint.  The first time, I had called them in with others for estimates.  Needless to say, theirs was reasonable and the worker even pointed out work that OBVIOUSLY did not need to be done.  Because I am female, others underestimated my experience.  As the owner of an apartment building, Drains Unlimited was on my speed dial.

Great service. I left a message before their 8 am opening and they called me back before 8.  Got a same-day appointment, and they called again and asked if they could come even earlier than promised.  Tim was fantastic, went all around outside to find out where the pipes went, gave good advice, was fast, thorough, and left the tub beautifully clean (AND RUNNING).

Linda was great in the office, and got my payment through quickly, immediately sending confirmation and paid invoice to my email.  I really was happy with their work and their professional, friendly, get-it-done attitude!  I will definitely be using this service again.  Friday, in fact.

If only the plumbers my condo complex uses were this great... they're coming this afternoon, and I think Tim did their work for them!

After my kitchen remodel, I needed all the plumbing hooked back up. I called Drains Unlimited. The lady that answered the phone was very nice, I got a guy to come out the next day. He gave me an estimate very quickly.

About a month later I called them again to actually have them come and do the work. They showed up a little later than I would've liked but still in the time they told me. I had a piece missing from the kitchen faucet and they returned later that day to finish which was cool.

I had two problems with them, first the dishwasher I believe was hooked up wrong and then a small plumbing ring wasn't tight enough and leaked some water for a little bit before I figured it out and tightened it myself. Now these guys are coming back today, and I don't know if they're going to charge me for fixing it, so stay tuned and I'll post and possibly decrease or increase their rating after this visit!

*----------Updated--------------*

They came back and fixed it super fast and without charge!

My kitchen sinks were clogged on Labor day and thanks to Yelp, I found Drain Unlimited.
I called and the lady on the phone answered my call promptly which is a plus as I called several other places and they were either not opened or forwarded me to a voice mail.
She asked for my contact info and in less than 5 mins, Gaby called me back to schedule an appointment.
The next day they came and only took 5 mins to get the job done. The price is very reasonable too, $71.50.

Thanks again, Drain Unlimited!

I tried a few times to offer a recommendation to Drains Unlimited but I cant bring myself to do it.

Our company toilet was running and not filling up so the guys came out to take a look about seven months ago. They came out and replaced the entire system which was about $153 for parts and labor.

About two weeks later the chain ripped through the valve and I had to call them out. They didnt charge us for the fix BUT we were blamed for using a paper clip to attach the chain to the valve. It was absurd because after they left after installing it I had checked to see what they did and noticed it. I didnt question it because they are professionals and know more than I do about toilets. I didnt appreciate being blamed for something we didnt do. Why would I even make that fix when they had just replaced the entire system and it was supposed to be working? Makes no sense.

I called today to let them know the system, now seven months old, is not working. I had a handy man of ours come out to check it before I called them since it could have been something quick to fix. Nope. Turns out we need an entire new system. I called the office to ask if it could be replaced and I was told there is a three month warranty AND they would charge me $85 to come out and look at it. The fact that Id have to pay a diagnostic fee when they have been out here twice to look at it blew my mind.

I will not be using this company because they are not professional in any way, shape or form. The woman who handles the calls (sorry I dont remember her name) is nice and compassionate but that isnt enough to keep me coming back to them.

Nope.

I just recommended another person to Drains Unlimited. Following my usual custom of including a link to the Yelp reviews, I realized I had never written a review of my own.

I have used Drains Unlimited on two occasions. Both times were for shower drains (in different locations). Both times, they showed up exactly as promised. Both times, they charged what they had initially promised. And both times, they fixed the problem and didn't need to come back.

Frankly, I thought one of the guys was a bit gruff during my first experience. He wasn't really rude; he just seemed like he was in a hurry to get in and out. But, he didn't compromise the job, and I can appreciate that he didn't want to keep other customers waiting.

Amazing service, experience and honesty. After paying for a hydro jetting service from another plumbing company, just to have the problem resurface a month later, some friends referred us to Drains Unlimited and we couldn't be happier. A simple snake of our drain fixed the problem. They suggested snaking the drain yearly, and if needed provided an estimate that was less than anticipated to fix a potentially bigger problem down the road. Honest, fair prices, great work, nice people.

Unfortunately I cannot give these guys more than 2 stars.

I had used about a year ago to fix a clogged toilet. At the time, I was renting the house, but have since purchased. They came out and ran an auger town the toilet and left.  $85.  Within a week or so, I had the same problem.  Called the landlord and he said the guys would come back which they did free of charge.

2 weeks ago, I had the same problem-clogged toilet.  I went with these guys because I had used them before and was satisfied.  They came out and ran the auger down the toilet and left. $85.  Within 2 weeks, I had the same problem.  Called them back and the lady said they would come back which they did. Once they finished running the auger down the toilet again, he wrote me up an invoice. $85.

I am not really sure why I was charged again?  When I scheduled the appointment, she did not mention I would be charged again-if she had, I wouldn't have scheduled the appointment. My fault for not asking.

When I questioned the guy, he said I had a bad toilet and suggested I change the whole thing out. He said it doesn't flush properly and that is why he had to come back, it had nothing to do with the job he did 2 weeks ago.  If that is the logic, then I guess I should expect to see him back again every 2 weeks or so, correct?

Disappointed and will not use them again. If you can't guarantee your work for more than 2 weeks I need to find someone who can.

Update:
I was called by the company after writing this review.  The refunded me the $85 for the second visit.  I am grateful for this, because I had to call another company (Pacific Coast Plumbing) a few weeks later to come and fix the problem.  The actually removed the toilet, took all the roots out, and showed me what was going on.  They suggested to me that this would likely continue to happen without some additional repair, quoted me on the cost, and my problem has been solved since.  I will continue to use Pacific Coast Plumbing.  They did a great job, explained (and showed) me what they were doing, and charged me a reasonable price.

Second review for these guys.  We needed some minor plumbing repairs.  Once again they were terrific.  Quick response, on time, professional and honest.  They charged me for 1/2 service call for a minor fix and didn't try to up-sell me on unnecessary repairs.

Thanks again!

These guys came to my rescue with little/no notice late on a Friday afternoon.  My kitchen sink was clogged and getting close to flooding the kitchen.  My regular plumber  sold his business and I couldn't find another plumber I could trust that would come out before Monday.  Someone recommended Drains Unlimited so I called them and they had someone out within a couple hours.  Very nice guy who did the job in no time with very reasonable, fair prices.  I'm really glad to have a new plumber I can trust!!

Drains Unlimited did an excellent job repairing a completely clogged bathtub drain at our house.  Another plumber had been unable to figure out how to repair it and we'd been without a working tub for over a week.  Patrick's problem solving was excellent, and he figured out the somewhat complicated issue pretty quickly.

Patrick, the drain specialist, came out right on schedule and within the hour we had a working bathtub drain again!  The total cost was only $85, which was well below the estimate we had from the other plumber of $600-$1800 to fix the problem.  We will definitely be using Drains Unlimited again.

Patrick was thorough: he checked that our downstairs neighbor wasn't having any problems as a result of our clog and also cleaned up his work area.  He even rinsed off a car on the street that had been egged and followed up to see if we knew whose car it was so we could let them know about the possible damage to the paint on their car!

Overall, great service.

I use them at least once a year. We live in a canyon and tree root cause havoc with the main line every 12 months. I'll take on the job and big expense of replacing it at some point but for at least five years DU has cut away roots and cleaned things. I agree with the general consensus, they are excellent,  reasonable, and honest. Has something to do with Gaby as the leader I believe, but what a relief to be able to trust a business and relax.

I LOVE these guys so much, I may get DRAINS UNLIMITED tattooed on my face!

Here's the story ...  I have a 100 year old house.  On the curb in front is 100-year-old tree with roots growing into the main line.  Every year or so I've had to have a plumber come out and snake it, including this past March.

I also have two toddler who like to stuff full rolls of toilet paper down the toilet, which require a plumber de-clogification visit every 3-4 months.  My pipes backed up again a couple days ago and my fly-by-night home warranty company sent one of it's fly-by-night plumbers to take a look.

The plumber promptly told me that a.) I had to replace the WHOLE exterior main line and that b.) I had to do it THAT DAY or incur plumbing disaster for a cool $1,500.  Being a New Yorker I'm always suspicious when someone shows up with no prior knowledge of the plumbing history, and tells me I have to spend a wad of loot or else.

I promptly went to YELP and found DRAINS UNLIMITED.  I call the office at about 4PM and was able to get an appointment by 9AM the next day.  GABY came out, took a good amount of time to learn the history of the house, then told me what I knew was probably the case ... a.) There WAS no emergency and b.) If I kept snaking the drain every year or so I'd be fine, and that I should call him in a couple months.  Oh, and snaking the drain would only cost about $100!

The level of honesty, integrity, and professionalism displayed by Gaby is mind-boggling.  He could have easily told me Yup, you gotta replace it now. and gotten $1,500 out of my pocket.  Because of his honesty, he has a customer for life and I'll be telling every one I know about DRAINS UNLIMITED.

FYI:  I have NEVER posted to Yelp before so that should tell you how excited I am by this experience!

We have had great experiences with these folks.  Our landlord found them after having had bad experiences with other shady plumbers.  We had quite a few problems when we first moved in and it was a nightmare until we found Drains Unlimited.

Gaby and his techs always arrive exactly when they say they will - they explain everything that they are doing - they are very reasonably priced and the whole team - from the person who answers the phone to make your appointment - to the experts who come to do the work - are pleasant and polite.

Most recently, we called to report a toilet that was not flushing properly and leaking from the side.  I looked it up on online and learned that it was most likely the wax ring.  The kind woman who took my call agreed that it sounded like a wax ring and said the tech would be out between 11am and 1pm on Friday.  They arrived today at 11:10am - were finished their work by 11:45.  Apparently, a tree root grew through the wax ring and into the toilet pipeline!  Gaby explained that this is a common problem and suggested putting salt in the toilet line each day to discourage the tree roots from seeking the water from the line.  Who knew??  The aggressive tree root was removed and all is fixed now!

There really is no reason to use any other company.  Why would you?

I was fighting my way through all the drain companies with fake reviews on Yelp until I found an outfit that seemed like it was actually run by humans and not bots.  That was Drains Unlimited.  It turns out to be a local company that cares about its reputation and its customers.  I set up an appointment to unclog a bathroom sink drain.  They sent James, who quickly determined that a snake was unnecessary, and who did some magic using the sink stopper that instantly unclogged the drain.  While he  was there, I asked if he could fix an apparent leak from the toilet tank to the bowl.  He could.  It just needed a new flap, which he had on the truck.  Since we were on a roll, I asked him about a funny smell that often came out of the sink when I turned the water on.  He asked if the smell was like hydrogen sulfide, which it was.  He suggested pouring peroxide down the overflow holes in the sink, which I did.  No more odor.  The whole thing cost $102.50.  Need I say more?  No, but I will.  These guys are my new go-to plumbers.  You will be well-served to give them a try.

Gaby is fantastic!  Professional, timely, efficient, reasonable pricing - he knows what he's doing.  Came out and fixed a broken pipe after hours and in the rain and then returned during the daylight the next day to complete the fix as the original problem had affected a sprinkler PVC pipe that required some uprooting of plants and dirt.  Everything put back into place and looked even better than before, you would never have known anything happened!  Will always call Drains Unlimited for any future plumbing needs not only for myself but for work as well - HIGHLY recommended!!

These guys were great.  I had a very nasty clog shower drain and a kitchen sink that seemed to vomit.  When I called, they said someone would show between 2-4. They came very promptly at 2:30 and I didn't have to wait around.

Not only were they in and out under an hour, they took care of the problem and cleaned up the mess that the clogged drains created..which I didn't expect them to!  The last time I had my drain snaked cost me $350...Drains Unlimited charged right at $100.  I couldn't have been happier and will continue to use them in the future should I have more plumbing problems.

One time I had another rooter biz come out, the 200lb+ dude told me he couldn't get the cover off the clean-out and it needed to be cut off for $200. I reached over and opened it with his own wrench. I weigh 92lbs. I asked him to leave. That's when I emailed/called all my friends and got the name of Drains Unlimited.

We have tree roots and have Drains Unlimited come out every 6 months like clockwork. (I've tried them all, and they are the best!!)
Tim (the guy who does most of the drain work) is a sweetie.

Drains Unlimited also does plumbing. They've done 2 jobs for me now that I've been more than thrilled with. One, that a very expensive plumber has been out two times to NOT fix. The owner, Gaby nailed it of course.

I now wish Drains Unlimited did the repipe on our house. Maybe we would have passed inspection the first time and maybe we would have had more money to do all the other stuff we had to pass on...

Yesterday I called one plumbing company that quoted me a low price for fixing my jammed kitchen sink. When the plumber arrived, he took one look and said the cost would be 4 times what I had been quoted over the phone. I asked them to leave and left the problem until today.

This morning I called Drains Unlimited. I left a message and was called back just ten minutes later by Patrick. He quoted me a fair, flat rate price and was at my place in less than 30 minutes. Ten minutes later, my problem is solved. It's been a pleasure working with these guys.

I wouldn't dream of using anyone else and always recommend them to everyone I know. In fact, after repeatedly being ripped off by other companies, finding Drains Unlimited was a Godsend. They've been more than fair in every single interaction I've had with them and they're really nice too.

I had Drains Unlimited come out today to do some really simple, but beyond me work, and the owner Gaby showed up and once again amazed me. He is a professional, a friend, and a really proud father - and proud of his work. It all comes through when he's in your home snakin' the drain and figuring out why the shower has no water pressure suddenly.

What a wonderful experience, had drainage problem in one of my units, 6 units Apartment building. Call to set the appointment, KC gave me a 2 hour window for the appointment, I was called ahead (15 min), to notify me on their arrival. I was told of the charges at the time of placing the appointment. The problem was diagnosed and solved right away, in very organized and professional manner. Our tenants were happy to see it done quickly and neatly, and so we. Thank you for your service.

I completely understand why Drains Unlimited has 5 stars! I only needed my toliet unclogged, and that's exactly what my plumber did -no chitterchatter, no unnecessary suggestions, no upselling! Very efficient, quick, and on time!

I wished they had better weekend service, but I learned that is rare when it comes to plumbing companies,

These guys are great.  Gaby is a true pro.  Honest, knowledgeable, and reliable.  Their rates are reasonable and we didn't pay a penny more than we were quoted.

I'm crossing my fingers for no more plumbing issues, but when the time comes I look forward to giving Gaby and Drains Unlimited our business.

After my 93 yo Mother got an estimate from Roto TOOTER for $600.00 for a main line stoppage, I was floored when Tim (from Drains Unlimited) quoted $85.00!! Not only did he do the job well he fixed a couple of small problems too!. He spoke clearly & concisely so my Mom could hear him. Too many repair people don't seem to even speak English & if they do  you're lucky to understand them. Sorry but I speak the truth, my ex hubby worked for a large plumbing company down on Crenshaw Blvd that has been around since 1949..we couldn't even get them to respond for an estimate~!!!!!!
I'm GLAD they didn't.... I have recommended  Drains Unlimited to many of my friends who own homes as well
Thanks again

No hot water -- gas water heater.  Tried relighting the pilot several times, but it wouldn't stay lit.  It obviously needed a new thermocouple.  Theoretically, this is a DIY project, but who wants to mess around with gas?

Besides, it's Friday afternoon, and time's (and daylight's) a-wasting.  When i saw the yelp-er who wrote, Because my house is SO old and rickety modern equipment won't snake through my pipes (as well as the other reviews), i figured Drains Unlimited was the one to try.  (Even though the water heater is a separate issue, we have roots in our old pipes periodically, and we need a plumber who can handle the fact that the pipes are skinny and must be accessed via the roof.)

Gaby arrived in half an hour (as promised), was completely professional, had exactly the right part with him, and in a flash, we were good to go.  He also discounted the rate, which i very much appreciated:  service call, parts and labor for $65 -- and hot water back in 20 minutes.

We will definitely call him again.  5-stars all-around.

This is the second time I used Drains Unlimited.  The first time was for a rotorooting job that they were the lowest price on.  They were on time and did an amazing job.  A few months later I called them for a leaking shower head.  I had gotten one quote where I was told the tile in the shower had to be broken to replace the entire inside.  Drains unlimited came by and said they can replace one valve with out breaking anything and what a great price saving.

The fact that they are honest and on time is worth everything!  Give them a call first as these guys are my go to guys for plumbing!  Great family business!

I had a sewer stoppage less than two months ago.  I called one of those reliable big name plumbing companies.  They said I needed to have a clean-out installed so that they could get to the main sewer line.  [Note: If you ever have a clean-out installed, make sure its a two-way clean-out, the type with which the plumber can access both sewer stoppages towards the street and stoppages towards the house.]  The reliable big name plumber installed a ONE-WAY clean-out. And then cleared the sewer stoppage WITHOUT using the clean-out. The plumber wanted me to spend about $9,000 have the entire sewer line lined to avoid future sewer problems. I declined.

Well just 50 days later, I had the same type sewer stoppage again.  The reliant big name plumber came and said that the 30-day warranty on his sewer stoppage had expired.  He said I would not have this problem, if I had spent the $9,000 for the liner.  That's when I told him I didn't want he to do any work. I went online to Yelp, read the reviews, and contacted Drains Unlimited.

Gaby came out to the house, assessed the problem, and was able to use the one-way clean out in such a way to get his equipment to clean sewer line towards the house.  Gaby then used a second procedure to make sure the sewer line was clear.  The total cost charged was very reasonably priced.

P.S. I you need a clean-out installed or want a liner, have Gaby do it.  You will find the cost to be reasonable.

Tim & Patrick came out for a free estimate. They are awesome! They just came out to check to see if we needed a snake run through our pipes and they found that everything was in working order. They gave some other tips, found a clog in bathroom sink that I didn't even ask about.  I don't know many plumbers that would come out and not charge extra even if there was not a need for something. they were awesome!

I have been managing rental units for almost 20 years now.  I've had my share of dealing with a lot of different people.  I can't say enough about Drains Unlimited.  I am completely satisfied with their customer service, communication, quality work and honesty.  I feel that I finally found a plumber that I can trust and relay on.  I need a plumber somewhat on a regular basis and I know I will definitely be using Drains Unlimited in the future......I actually programmed their number on my phone!

Found them on Yelp. Nice receptionist. Punctual, fast and professional service at a very reasonable $71.50 and he even rinsed the driveway down after routing the cleanout / drain. Tim was the plumber and he is a cool guy.

I am a skeptic about work people because I have been 'taken' too many times. I have had quotes, for the same plumbing issue, that ranged from $75 to lady, you're in trouble but we can bail you out for $1,200.Luckily a friend gave me the Drains Unlimited phone number. Gaby Korkis  and the men who work for him are the only plumbers I would ever call. They are prompt, polite, remove their shoes in the house without being asked, clean up when they are done and the fee is always reasonable. Besides all of this, Gaby's wife does the appointments during the week and the billing. She is truly professional and VERY nice. My entire family counts on Drains Unlimited and they never let us down. Trust me, call them and you will know that everything I have written is true.

I had a clogged yard drain.  Patrick came out on schedule and performed excellent work in removing the blocking roots and mud and also recommended a root killer to help prevent future blockage.  He was greatly more conscientious than other drain cleaners that I have employed and charged a very reasonable price.

I have been using Drains Unlimited for many years. My mother told me about them. I have never been disappointed. I have rental houses and they are the first plumber I call for the rentals and my own home. They have gone above and beyond throughout the years. They come out quickly and their prices are reason and the owner, Gaby is one of the nicest people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.

I called at a 4:00 p.m. on a Saturday afternoon with a clogged and leaky sink faucet- I thought there was no way it would get taken care of same day and that the cost would be exorbitant.  I got a quick and courteous callback and was promised service within an hour.  Sure enough, someone was here in lightening speed (couldn't have been more than thirty minutes).  He was super friendly, fixed my horrendously clogged sink (really, horrendously clogged) and replaced an ancient pipe. They only charged $35 extra for weekend calls ($110 instead of $75) - totally worth it on a late Saturday afternoon emergency.   Since I have  *zero* handy skills, I feel grateful to know that I now have a go-to place for plumbing problems.

Wow!  So glad I found these guys on Yelp!  Need to have roots cleared form my main line every couple of years and Roto Rooter had charged me $400 last time!  These guys were $109 just like the nice gal on the phone had quoted and the guys could not have been nicer or more polite.  Nice, fast and easy!  I have new plumbers!  Thank you Yelp and thank you Drains Unlimited!

We have been working with Gaby and team since 2010 and have had nothing but positive experiences.  Beyond executing on the basics (responsive, on-time, respectful, good communicators) they are honest and resourceful.   These guys aren't about going through the basics to take service fee check and head for the door - they know what they are doing and are all about really addressing the problem/long term solutions.    I've made the mistake of having other plumbers work on a couple of issues (they were bundled into a backyard project with the general contractor) and Gaby just had to come fix everything they broke...lesson learned!    Stick with the pros.

I found these guys on yelp when I was going through escrow. The whole team is fantastic, they do a great job, prices are reasonable, and they are dependable for follow up issues and concerns. We have completed 2 major plumbing projects with them and wouldn't consider going with anyone else in the future. Very family run feel to the business, great customer service. Highly recommend!

When you need a plumber, you REALLY need a plumber, right?  Gaby's your man--old-school pride of workmanship and all that.  The first time I called him, he told me on the phone how to fix the problem myself, gaining a loyal client without even coming over.  Since then every home visit has been prompt, thorough, and cheaper than any other plumber in the neighborhood.  And unlike other plumbing services they don't try to talk you into work you don't need.  A family-operated company like this is a rare find on the Westside.

Gaby repaired two incessantly leaky faucets for us. He was genuine and professional and charged us very reasonably for service and parts, and we will definitely use him again! Only comment is that there were a few times that he didn't show up in the window of time he said he would, and while jobs running late / emergencies are completely excusable, I wish he or someone back at base would have been more proactive about calling to inform us he was running late. Thanks!

I had a plumbing issue my regular plumber said he could not fix because of his insurance.  UGH! I called Drains Unlimited because of their reviews.  I was still a little nervous as I always am when looking for a new contractor.  I left a message and my call was returned promptly.  Their customer service is really good and they were early for the scheduled appointment.  I am so happy to have found a new reliable plumber whose prices are also reasonable.  I will use them again.

I have used this company several times and have had an excellent experience each and every time, as have the people to whom I have referred this company.  I have an old 1920s home and Gaby is very knowledgeable about the plumbing issues that necessarily accompany old homes and old systems.  He has always charged me a very fair price and has performed excellent work very quickly.  All work he has done has never needed to be addressed again.  I wish I knew about him when I first bought my home and remodeled using terrible plumbers.  He and his crew are a pleasure to have in my home.  They are professional and never try to sell me on other work.  In fact, I have a difficult tub drain from the 1920s that Gaby refused to charge me to fix and taught me how to fix myself should it become a problem in the future.  I recently had to replace my water heater.  Gaby's crew came out immediately because my basement was flooding even though they had other jobs they had to tackle that day.  Gaby came by after the work was completed to make sure it was done perfectly and safely.  Gaby and his crew are true professionals and I will never use another plumber.

It all comes down to trust. You need to be able to trust anyone working in and on your home, because without it, you can't feel confident about quality workmanship, pricing, warranty/stands behind their work, etc. We've gone through a several plumbers- some excellent that charge unreasonable prices, others that were not so good but charged less. We really wanted to find a plumber we could trust, is responsive, does great work and charges fairly. We found them. Gaby + Kaci Korkis / Drains Unlimited were referred to us by a trusted friend who had a positive experience with them. Turns out our kids attend the same school, so knowing they're part of our community meant a lot to us. We called at 715am as our water heater was leaking badly. Left a message and within 10 minutes Kaci called us back. Although they were already over-scheduled for that day, Gaby (owner / lead plumber) came by personally with one of his guys and assessed the situation, gave us a price quote and said he'd be able to do the work the following day. The next day they showed up and got right to work. In less than 4 hours they removed the old water heater and installed a new tankless water heater. They do excellent work- it works and looks great, solid attention to detail and they went above and beyond by doing a few extras for us and upgrading our tankless water heater at no charge. As for pricing, it was right in line / a bit lower than some other estimates, and they didn't 'nickel and dime'- Gaby quoted a price and that was the exact figure he billed us for. Additionally, the unit they sold us qualifies us for a couple rebates! I'm not particularly easy to impress and I only offer recommendations when the service and quality is top-notch. Drains Unlimited is excellent and I recommend them highly. They'll be the only plumbers we call in the future.
