Best Businesses in Texas
Wow! What can I say.. unfortunately I discovered we had a gas leak. I called a few companies and finally got this one! So thankful for them. They charged half the price, we're out here within the hour of my call and restored everything back to the way it was! Fan for life and I would recommend this business to anyone that has a need for professional plumbing! Thank you!

I love Professor Plumb !! Blue and his helper were punctual, courteous and informative. This is the kind of business I want to always deal, with. I had questions about the new house I had just purchased and he was patient and answered all my questions. Great service and lots of experience !!

Hands down the best company they are fast friendly and reliable. They keep you posted from the moment you place work order to when they are in route and they send you texts and call you (updating you and giving you the name and picture of tech who will be providing the service for you AC or plumbing issue. This way you know who to expect, they are so kind they just go above and beyond from customer service to the techs or service people they send to do job. They really make you feel like you are their top priority and treat you as such. I have used this company serval times and they just keep getting better. They were faster then the home warranty and cheaper and more efficient. They are the best.

It took us six years of living in our new house to finally look into getting our barely functional sprinkler system into working order.
M&M Sprinklers helped us and were amazing doing it.
Their customer service was fantastic and made a great first impression (as well as every other time I talked to them). We played phone tag for a short bit but they always returned my calls promptly and not getting ahold of each other was more on me than them. The lady I talked to was super sweet and very helpful.
We live one hour out of Lubbock but that was not a problem.
The repair man was friendly and competent, worked fast and did a great job with our decrepit system.
The price was far less than I expected for the job.
All in all would definitely recommend this business.

Michael came out so quickly and got the job done even in 100+ temps, working late into the evening. Very hard worker. I definitely recommend The Handyman's Daddy.

Fastest response by a plumbing company I have ever received - and it was on the Tuesday morning right after Labor Day weekend. To be fair, the lady that handled my service request advised me of their fee structure. It turned out that I just needed a flexible water line under the sink replaced. Unfortunately, the plumber was called in from off duty and didn't arrive in his regular truck. So he did not have the replacement water line on hand. After a 5 minute diagnosis of the problem, a 25 minute round trip to Fergusons and 5 minute installation, he had fixed my problem. I was pleased with the service, the solution, the professionalism of the plumber and the representative on the phone. Maybe I was just hoping that I wouldn't be charged $219 for this simple / less than an hour repair. To be fair, I was told in advance that their service fee was $195 for first hour plus parts. Maybe I should have asked for a senior or Veteran's discount :).

Although we went ahead with a different company, we had a wonderful experience getting estimates and having Rhonda come out. They were responsive via yelp and set up an estimate right away. She was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional, she was also very responsive and although they offered a great price, we proceeded with another company that was lower

I've used them multiple times and have always had fair pricing and quick service. This time they couldn't help me but went out of their way to get another plumber to come and fix my gas line. I would continue to use them and highly recommend their service

The staff is great at doing HVAC replacement, plumbing and gas-related work. Let me be clear about this. I would hire *the crew* no matter where they worked anytime. They work hard and get the job done right. I love my system and their work has been pristine. If it were just the crew I was rating here, it would be a 5-star rating.
What I didn't like was:
* the incompetency shown by the Owner when originally giving me a quote for the job, which ultimately led to it being a 3-day job and requiring completely different work than originally agreed in terms of duct work
* the fact that the Owner did not want to pay his crew overtime and told them to stop working at my house, leaving me without air during peak summer heat during the hottest summer on record, because of his incompetence and the secondary and tertiary issues they encountered once the duct work portion of the job began. (The crew refused to obey orders and stayed until they got my air working at least in the areas where I would be sleeping that night. They returned for day 3 to complete the job on the rest of the house. At least they had integrity and a sense of humanity.)
* the deceit and subsequent gaslighting by the Owner when I called him out for telling me (and writing it on the order/quote) that something I already owned and invested in would not need to be changed for the job to be completed. As well as the outright lie he told when he said all [his] employees are trained to install the product I purchased. The crew had never seen the product before and had no idea how to install it. It turned out, only the Owner's son went through the training. The backpedaling the Owner did when I caught him in this lie was ridiculous and utterly transparent. A judge would have laughed him right out of court, had it gotten to that point.
* the runaround he gave me (typical DARVO garbage) when I knew what I was talking about regarding the equipment already installed in my home and the incompatibility issues his recently installed equipment was causing.
It took me going to the manufacturer and creating a case where everything was documented by someone else for him to agree to new terms for the quote. It's a shame because, while I will remain a customer due to the product I have and the warranty this company provides for the product, I have lost all faith in the company due to the Owner alone. Apparently, according to all the employees I've talked to in this company, this is typical behavior of his. Maybe it's time for this narcissist to retire and let someone who cares about customers first handle customer-related issues like sales and service.
In short, this Owner got off easy with the terms I set for the adjusted quote, and he knows it. I know it. I am hoping he learned his lesson and treats customers better going forward, but from what his employees shared, I doubt he will. You've been warned. Do your due diligence and do not trust anything he says. Make sure you know what competency to expect from a professional in this field before you buy into his song and dance about his father's business and how long they've been around. Riding on his father's coattails will not save him at the end of the day when he can't be honest with and do right by his customers without a fight.
If I were rating my dealings with the Owner post-sales call, it would be a 1-star rating at best. His crew and office staff earned him the extra two stars. That should tell you more than enough.

Way over priced and deceptive salesmen for tech and management.
Tech arrived... walked in and did no trouble shooting at all. Without touching the water heater said it was broken and they do not deal with Rheem warrantee even though on the Rheem website A#1 Air is listed as a Pro Partner. Told me it was going to be $3,000.00 to replace it or I could disconnect it and take it to Home Depot myself... which sounded wrong. I called another company that said they deal with Rheem warrantee all the time. You just call and tell Rheem what is wrong. Give them the serial number and you get the part in a few days for free when the item is still under the manufacturers warrantee. The service repair men just put it in for you and you pay them labor. Had if fixed for $200.00 from the second company. Even talked to a manager at A#1 Air that said they do not do warrantee work because it takes them a year to get paid by Rheem... A LIE... the customer pays for labor and Rheem supplies the parts for free, even a whole new water heater if needed. A#1 Air just wants to sell a 900.00 water heater for 3000.00. Be aware if you deal with this company.
