Best Electricians in Dallas, TX

Willaby Electric Electrician
I have been having trouble with my A/C and had two different quotes.  The second one told me it was an electrical problem with my breaker box and I needed to have an electrician come out and look at it.  After two lousy a/c guys I was worried about what these people would tell me.  They guy listened to me and knew I was going on day 2 without air.  He came out checked all the electrical circuits and told me my breakers were fine.  No extra charge, no taking advantage.  He also recommended a reputable A/C guy that I will be calling next!  Finally a trustworthy repairman!

Safety Electric Electrician
Mr. Stevens owner and licensed electrician of Safety Electric is a wizard and thorough man for finding the most difficult of sneaky circuits that have failed.  Our house was built in 1936 and as such has its share of quirks, but no more in the electrical department thanks to Mr. Stevens.  In addition to his electric skills, and willing to stay until its done, his prices cannot be beat.  Look no further when seeking an electrician.

Burkins Electrical Service Electrician
Got a recommendation for Burkins when another electrician left me hanging right before it was time to move in. The prior electrician left me with 2 switches that didn't work as well as a garbage disposal that wouldn't come on.  Burkins fixed everything and then some.  I was so happy that I had them come back and install pendants. Burkins was able to fix things that prior electricians wrote off, and I couldn't  be happier with the service.  Reliable, responsive, meticulous, fair pricing, flexible scheduling, and very kind to my elderly mother. I highly recommend with no reservations.

White Electric Electrician
They have the best service!! I called and spoke to Juan and he sounded knowledgeable over the phone.  I  decided to give them a try.  I wanted to automate my home with smart devices.   I was so impressed when he (Juan) came out.  He was able to install my smart switches and Ring doorbell.  I can now control my home with Alexa.  It is totally Amazing.  I have some areas that are more complex and he told me exactly what we needed.  I have placed the order and plan to finish my smart home this week.  If you need any work done;  don't hesitate!!  White Electric is more than capable and priced affordable!!! Thank you!!!

Community Electric Electrician
Mike and Pete replaced the electrical box for the house and added an outlet to be used for an RV hookup.  Very efficient and knowledgeable.  They arrived on time and checked in with me the day prior to the work to be done to confirm we were still expecting Community Electric to do the electrical work.  Very polite (who doesn't appreciate the courtesy of a Yes, ma'am, No ma'am response?).  The rate they charged was very fair and definitely warranted the monetary tip I gave them!   Excellent service and will use them again!!!

Merlan Electrical Services Electrician
Nestor came within a few hours of our initial call on what was assumed to be a fact finding mission to verify fluctuating voltages in our home. In about 30 minutes, he identified and fixed the problem, and gave me information on the next steps to take with Oncor to confirm. Very reasonable price, excellent customer service, and great work! We now have a family electrician!

Top Notch Electrician Electrician
These people are definitely on time, courteous, extremely fast, clean up after themselves and know how to use a telephone, not text messaging, to let you know what's going on. Since I have not hired an electrician in years I don't know where their pricing is as opposed to others in the business, so I'll post what my costs were. Initial visit was due to having no power in 2 rooms and a disconnected light switch due to an overzealous neighbor troubleshooting the problem. Problem was a melted outlet, $125 for the service call, $12 for the repair; complete job done inside 20 minutes. However, while they were here we talked about some lights I wanted replaced and he suggested a surge protector for the whole house, not a bad idea considering the number of power outages we have here. The 2nd time out they replaced 2 hallway lights, of the old screw in bulb type, with flushmounted LED, $32 each for the lights, $56 each for the installation and an additional $10 because one of the boxes had dropped so they had to go in the attic and pull it up a little. They also installed an Eaton CHSPT2ULTRA surge protector on a 220V circuit breaker in the garage for a total cost of $489. I believe they had the entire job, lights and surge protector, done inside of 30 minutes.

Electricians Of Dallas Electrician
Vince and crew did an excellent job replacing a load center for us with a new Square D load center. They have excellent communications, they showed up when promised, and were professional and courteous. After the load center was replaced they went all around the house and made sure everything was working.  I would ignore the review from San Francisco, I'm quite sure this fellow has 'Electricians of Dallas' mixed up with another contractor in San Francisco.

One Call Electric Electrician
I had the pleasure of using One Call Electric today, with so few reviews I was leary but took a chance. He came out,  was very professional and even moved their schedule around to come out 2 days earlier to get my problem resolved. Installed a new circuit and fixed an issue I was having. He also took the time to explain what he was doing, why he was doing in and showed me more about my existing service. I really appreciated him taking the time to educate me on why we used what wires for which circuits.
Overall:
Fast, Great service, great attitude and great communication. Really what a contractor should be. (I've dealt with a lot building my own house and most suck)
This one was one of the easiest to use. Paid using credit card through his phone and got a text receipt. Very easy.
For electrical I would highly recommend them.

Milestone Electrician
We've used Milestone four times.  They did a good job on a safety check for a light switch and for a switch wiring issue so simple the bill was only $30 with a coupon.

We used them for a new wired smoke alarm system, which has been a disaster.  Within 12 months, the new carbon monoxide detector went off in the middle of the night.  We had to wake up our baby and wait outside for the fire department.  There was no carbon monoxide; the detector was defective.  Furthermore, even though the detectors are wired, the batteries that milestone put in them are cheap, no-name batteries that began to fail within about six months.  Every couple months for the last year or so, a battery will die and a random detector will start chirping.  It's always at the worst time-- the baby's room in the middle of the night, the master bedroom at 6 am on a weekend, the 2-story foyer when my husband is out of town, etc.  Infuriating!  For what we paid, they could've used new, brand name batteries.  Finally, about a year after the installation, I had a city fire inspection scheduled for my house.  I went to put a broom in one of the kids' rooms so we could test the alarm, and noticed that Milestone had skipped one of the kids' bedrooms during their installation.  Fabulous.

The second problem we had with Milestone involved an HVAC appointment.  The technician was supposed to flush the HVAC lines in our attic to remove debris and prevent a backup of water in our attic.  I kid you not, literally two days after his visit, the lines backed up, causing our AC unit to turn off in the middle of the night.  My husband and I went up in the attic and flushed the line.  A ton of debris came out and we caught it in a bucket.  We paid about $130 for the technician to do nothing.  That's when stopped trusting this company with our electricity.

Update: In response to my review, Milestone has offered to come change all the batteries in the smoke detectors and replace them with name-brand batteries.  Additionally, they told me that many of the detectors they've installed have been from a defective batch, and they will be checking to see if ours are part of that batch.
