These guys bailed me out when another plumber left me stranded. They were nice, professional, cleaned up after themselves, just all around a great experience. I'm extremely grateful for them and the work they did.

I was assigned Joe Lay & Sons through my home warranty company. After they were assigned they promptly called me to set up a time. They had great immediately availability (even available the next day)! They gave me 30 minute windows for arrival! This was something I've never heard of! No more are the 8 hour windows of someone to maybe show up...30 minutes! Once I locked in my appointment, I got an email from them with the details. A nice touch as I work mainly through email. The day of, they did show up within the 30-minute window. Why aren't all companies this together?! The gentleman was polity and well dressed. Actually, the company was sponsor breast cancer awareness with their company shirts. My mom has breast cancer and that just hit home with me :) He was in and out within less than an hour and my problem was solved! No mess was left behind, which I have experienced with previous companies. I would highly Joe Lay & Sons and plan on using them for any potential future work.

I have used America Water & Plumbing many times.  Always very responsive.  Shows up when scheduled & does a complete job.  Pricing is extremely fair!!  Highly recommend!!

My furnace went out and they sent someone promptly and he was able to repair it quickly.

She was not very responsive or had a good business courtesy. Had to follow up several time to know the status.
Instead of diagnosing the problem at our rental property, then calling me to explain the problem and to know if we'd like to continue with the fix, they fixed it and sent me the invoice. It's like between calling them and then sending the invoice of $225 (for not that of a big problem), i had no idea what was going on.

Plumbers on time had all parts explained so I could understand. Felt better that it was Not a DIY i could have done myself.  Super cleanup.  Super courtesy on site and in office.  Recommending to all my homeowner friends.   They are totally transparent on their pricing!  My first experience w that in 35 years of home ownership. I hired them to fix a gas leak earlier today

Pros: the guy that did the work, Jason, gets 5 stars. Very professional and friendly, really seemed to go the extra mile and explained well what in the installation was wrong, etc. So he did really well.

Cons: their prices are *freaking STEEP*. Like 2-3x what I would think a premium service should be. Some 4 ft of 1/2 pip and 2 hours of labor was.... more than I want to admit in writing. Comfortably into the four figures.

Jason did talk to my home warranty company directly and they called me indicating they agreed to pay the lion's share so whatever he said worked great. I was worried it was too much and they would deny it. I guess I should have called around and gotten more estimates and that would have saved me the stress but I didn't want too many people running through the house during Covid etc. But luckily it all worked out I guess.

So in summary: great job; pandemic pricing.

I called two other recommended plumbers for my urgent leak, one could come in 7 days and one could could come in the morning as my basement continued to flood.

Called roto rooter and I could barely make it home from work before they got there.  Amazing speed and service.  Quoted and paid $180 for a new toilet water line, $1 over my wife's estimate and hundreds less than I thought I was in for.

This company is a complete joke. I believe Rex is the owner. Was sent out by American Home Shield for a water heater leak. He said it was our PR valve. Was coming back to fix it in two days and this incompetent individual didn't see the main water shut-off valve located on the floor next to the water heater. I wasn't there to point it out to him but as a plumber, why wouldn't he know this? Tried to shut the water off in the crawl space and was too big to fit down there. Since he couldn't fit, he made it seem as if it was a different problem other than the valve, typical incompetence when you don't know what you're doing!!! Then he was nonresponsive to the home warranty company for weeks. Only to contact them after I gave a bad google review to come into my home. YOU WILL NOT STEP FOOT BACK INTO MY HOME! What is your motive for responding now? Business needs to be shut down!!!

My AC was not blowing cold . B&B said I needed a fan on my outside unit . Tech did move the fan but he said it was tight.
I asked him to check the capacitor, which starts the fan . He said again, the fan was bad and did not check the capacitor. He said , he would order a fan and would take 2-3 days to arrive and Cost would be $390 plus , the $65 service call . I had another company come out and they said capacitor was bad and it's a $25 part !! And they charged me $50 to fix it ! B&B total cost was going to be $455 and I was going to have to purchase a Window A/C unit to get by since it was 90 degrees .  I called B&B and asked for a refund for the $65 service call as they misdiagnosed (explained to secretary and she call tech). They said someone must have oiled to get the fan to work and would not refund ! No one oiled fan . The guy simply changed capacitor, I was standing there!! Be real careful with these folks and certainly get a second estimate.

On July 2nd, a Saturday, we called in the evening to the emergency line because there was overflow from our basement floor drain. A man came out an hour after we called and assessed and said the floor drain need to be snaked. He did that and found a single baby wipe and said that was the issue. I expressed concern of the upstairs bathtub and upstairs bathroom sink draining very slowly. He glanced at them, not taking apart anything or using the snake, and said that slow draining tubs can be normal. I'm talking when we shower it fills with water and takes at least 2 hours to drain, which I told him. $375 and 30 mins later and he was gone.

Tuesday the bathtub, bathroom sink, and kitchen sink would not drain, at all. The floor drain was still backed up. I called at 2pm and spoke to the receptionist. I told her the story and how the issue wasn't resolved and I would like someone to come out again. She said she would give the message to the plumbers and have them call me back. The whole day goes by and I don't get a call. At 9pm I call back and the on call person picks up. He apologizes and said he thought someone had called me back. I told him no and he said they had planned to be there the next morning (Wednesday July 6th) at 9am. I called into work and said I would be late so I could be here to let them in and see what went on. 

The next morning they show up promptly at 8:45am. Two men, the original guy and another guy, come in. They start with the kitchen sink which has 12 inches of water sitting in it that hasn't drained in over a day. They take out everything from under the sink and get their very tall bucket which doesn't fit under the sink hanging halfway under the pipe while they take it apart. I offer my smaller bucket which would fit nicely but they said there's would be fine. I'm sitting in the living room just watching and all of the sudden water starts pouring out and their bucket has fallen since it's too tall. Water is pouring out all over the kitchen, into the living room, and through the floor into the basement. Man #2 says oh let me go get A TOWEL from the truck. Meanwhile I'm scrambling to collect every single towel we have in our house to clean this up. As if a single towel would do it. I used 14 towels between the 3 rooms. When I went downstairs to get more towels, it was as if it was raining. Water was pouring from the ceiling all over the floor and my belongings. I am clearly frustrated as the home we've lived in for 9 days has water pouring out all over it. I cleaned up the mess and at this point I have to go to work. They are now in the bathroom running a snake through under the bathroom sink. I ask them to call me when they've finished to tell me what all went on. The day went on and I never got a call. I called at 12 noon and spoke to the original man who came out the first time and the second time. He said they ran an snake down the bathroom sink pipe and there was a big clog but now all was well in the world and they ran the water for 20 minutes with no back ups. 

That same evening I decided to take a shower in the upstairs bathroom to see how it worked now that the clog was gone. Needless to say the bathtub was completely full and my shower lasted all of 5 minutes. The tub took 3 hours to drain 8 inches of water. I sent a photo to the number of the original guy and asked if they tested the bathtub water because if they did they would clearly have seen the issue wasn't resolved. Never got a reply from him. The kitchen sink hasn't clogged again but the bathtub still won't drain and now this evening there is a sewage water from the outside pipes pouring into our basement from the floor drain (see attached video). I have tried and tried to get this issue resolved but we are increasingly frustrated that we spent a large chunk of money on your services that didn't yield a resolution.

My gas furnace went out on Cincinnati's first sub-zero day (November, 2013).  I called Knochelman because of they used to be known as Cincinnati's premier locally owned HVAC service provider. Unfortunately, they are no longer locally owned and their service is awful. I called for help at around noon. I was told that I would be the next to get service. I did not get a call from a service technician until 7 PM to tell me that he was on his way.
