We called on Monday (not an emergency), they were here on Tuesday!  Polite, fast and reasonably priced.  Highly recommend.

I was put in touch with Joe Lay through my home warranty company as my water heater wasn't working properly. Within 24 hrs of making my claim, they called me to set up an appointment and were able to come the next day. Cole and Bill were very helpful, prompt, and friendly. They replaced the thermostat, as it was the incorrect one for the machine. Unfortunately while this improved my problem, it didn't fix it and within 2 weeks they came out to replace the water heater. The second appointment setup included some miscommunication over a weeks time but once it was set they came right out. I couldn't believe how efficient they were in doing the replacement! They didn't even leave a spec of packing material, dust etc. They even explained a few things to me that are good to know moving forward in my new house. I didn't realize how bad the problem had been until it was fixed. Great job!

Fantastic group of people - Allison, DJ and Brian.  This company came to me by way of my home warranty company.  This is hands-down the best experience that I have ever had with a plumbing group.  They were courteous, prompt (actually early), and efficient.  Customer service was top-notch, also.  This is my idea of a contractor.

Joe & Austin showed up before 8 AM & my window was 8-11. Definitely impressed! I was able to complete it & get on with my day. When does a plumber show before 10?! Worked quickly & did a great job with my 100 year old house. Very professional & polite as well. Would recommend & will be my first call in the future.

I contacted Joe and Lay and sons plumbing to address a couple issues. They promptly responded and got out to address my issues. They were very professional and clean cut. They resolve my issues and I was very impressed.

We found them through our home warranty and are happy with them. They were courteous, polite, professional, and had a good attitude.  They were also thorough and when the problem was located went straight to work at fixing it.  I'm going to make sure to keep your information so that if you ever need anything in the future we will have somebody to turn to for help.

Absolutely horrible experience!! They came out and gave me two options. We agreed on one of them but they submitted the one we did NOT agree on to the warranty company and did not tell me. By the way, I had to call 4 times before they would even submit it. So when they came to do the job, it was to do the wrong thing and said they would have to resubmit to the warranty company. They never resubmitted it, I called a few times and nothing. I finally gave up and are now looking for another company. Husband missed work because of this and water is still getting in the house when it rains due to the drain not working. Thanks for nothing!!!

So a plumber by the name of Tucker came to fix a leak we had from our upstairs bathroom. I told him I noticed that there was a crack on one of the bathroom tiles. He inspected and advised that he would be sealing the crack and we should be good. I left him alone in the bathroom,  10 mins later he told me he was finished. I looked at it and I thought it was weird that I couldn't see any difference, he said it was a clear seal and we shouldn't use the bathroom for 48 hrs, I waited 96 hrs just to be on the safe side. The first time using the bathroom, it began to leak again. I called 2 different plumbers on 2 different occasions just to check if there was anything sealed, they both confirmed no. I then went ahead to Walgreens purchased a $20 sealant and sealed it myself, I even waited a few months to see if it'll leak again only because I didn't want to undeservingly leave a bad review. It's been 3 months and there has been no leaks. It seems like this is a scheme to keep customers returning for more work to be done. I'm not sure if this is how you guys run your business or if it's just a bad employee but regardless I spent money for nothing.

Plumbers were able to come ahead of schedule and fix primary call issues and any secondary issues they found. Another top team we had to fix and update our newly acquired old house.

Mary (I think that is her name!) in the office is very helpful. If you have a plan in place with her for any type of repair, and the technician shows up and disregards that plan, double check with her first before work begins. We had to have three different technicians out, received a huge invoice from their notes & services, and after some further communication with Mary had the problem resolved (things should have been handled through the warranty instead of them coming in to do their own thing and charging for all parts and labor.)

John and Tim did a great job. They were actually early arriving and finished installing the water heater in a little over an hour. I'll use Joe Lay & Sons again!!

I had used this company twice in the past and have good service.  I used them again this week and was dissatisfied with the price and the customer service.

Our kitchen sink was clogged solid - tried snaking it myself, no luck.  Put in an online claim with our home warranty provider at 8:30 pm last night, they assigned the claim to Joe Lay & Sons.  Past experience has taught me that it'll usually be a couple days wait using the warranty, but had a phone call from Allison at Joe Lay just after 8 am this morning and a plumber out to fix it at 10:30.  Excellent, fast service - I definitely recommend this company!

Chad and another guy were at my house this morning to fix a running toilet and replace a sump pump. This company had replaced my water heater through my home warranty previously, so that is why I called them. I had totally forgotten about having a home warranty this time. Chad asked me if I had a home warranty, thankfully. I was able to quickly call the warranty company and get it set up with them. As soon as I got off the phone with the company, Chad's guy said they already had gotten the approval for the work. They were finished in about 45 minutes. Thank you Chad for saving me several hundred dollars by only having to pay my $100 deductible.

They came within one day of my call and replaced the hot water heater in a little over an hour. They were professional and polite and cleaned up after. I would definitely call them again.

The company was hired through my home warranty to diagnose and repair sewage backing up into our basement. After having a technician out the first time who couldn't clear the line, they promised to come back out the next day with the right equipment to get the job done. I called twice before they finally had someone out the second time about a week or more later. Then he couldn't get the line to clear with the bigger equipment so he had to come back with the camera. I had to call again multiple times to get this to happen. Finally I had a camera diagnosis and was promised a quote that week. Over the next month (all during which we had limited use of water without sewer backing up into our house) I politely asked 4 different times (and not politely one time) if they would provide a quote and copy of the camera video to me. Today I was told no video was taken despite my paying them $275 for the camera work and they promised a quote by the end of the day again and I received nothing. Now I must pay $250 to camera the line again so that I can get a quote from another company. Joe Lay did nothing for my money. They get 2 stars because the technicians were nice and the receptionist was nice. I would not recommend this company to anyone. They have been very unprofessional and did not perform the services I requested.

We first used Joy Lay & Sons when they were assigned by our homeowner's warranty company.  They came multiple times to help with a root issue, which they finally were able to clear with a super size snake/cutter and camera.  They confirmed for us that the underground pipes themselves looked to be in good shape and would not need to be replaced.  We have since cancelled our warranty, but continue to use them when issues arise due to their honest and informative employees.

They installed a bathtub faucet for us.  Unfortunately, we had problems with the faucet, but Joe Lay Plumbing went out of their way to correct the situation.  They finally installed a new faucet - one that was much nicer - to replace the faulty one.  They were very nice about it.  They were always prompt about coming out and repairing the problem. They assured us that we got a bad faucet.  After a few attempts to repair it, they replaced it with a nicer faucet free of charge. We are having no more problems and couldn't be happier. They were prompt, polite, clean, and professional.

You know it's not going to be a good day when you go into your finished basement to grab a shower and hear water dripping.  Not from the shower but from an unknown source in the unfinished back basement area.  What a mess!  I called my usual plumber but got no answer and no return call.  So I reached out to Joe Lay & Sons simply because they're so local to my house.  Alison answered and was awesome.  She got a hold of DJ who left a job he was on and came right on over.  We investigated for more than an hour without any luck in identifying the leaking pipe.  The water was dripping from the return duct work on my AC unit and accessing above that was nearly impossible.  We tried a few things and finally thought we isolated it to my laundry room on the first floor but to be sure, DJ called his supervisor, Jessie, who came right out.  Within about 30 minutes, they'd confirmed it was most likely coming from the laundry room area but still needed to identify where.  A few test holes later, they found the culprit.  17 years ago, when we built our house, the drywall crew had screwed through a protective plate and pierced the copper line going to my laundry tub.  The screw rusted and finally couldn't hold back the pressure.  So within about 10 minutes, DJ had the bad section cut out and repaired.  Literally, they made my day!!!  Thanks to the entire team at Joe Lay & Sons.  It's so nice to be dry again!

They were assigned by my home owner warranty company to fix a shower that was leaking into my basement when I showered. FOUR trips to my house later it leaks even worse than before I reported the problem. My warrant company has assigned a different plumbing contractor now.

I was assigned Joe Lay & Sons through my home warranty company. After they were assigned they promptly called me to set up a time. They had great immediately availability (even available the next day)! They gave me 30 minute windows for arrival! This was something I've never heard of! No more are the 8 hour windows of someone to maybe show up...30 minutes! Once I locked in my appointment, I got an email from them with the details. A nice touch as I work mainly through email. The day of, they did show up within the 30-minute window. Why aren't all companies this together?! The gentleman was polity and well dressed. Actually, the company was sponsor breast cancer awareness with their company shirts. My mom has breast cancer and that just hit home with me :) He was in and out within less than an hour and my problem was solved! No mess was left behind, which I have experienced with previous companies. I would highly Joe Lay & Sons and plan on using them for any potential future work.

Really nice guys. They came out fixed a clog. They explained everything clearly and were great at answering any questions I had.  Would deff recommend them.

So we had a major event where we needed to start stripping the effected areas immediately, but needed to resolve the plumbing issue before restoration could start demolition.  While the first team from Joe Lay could not clear the clog, when I explained the situation they got another team out to fix it the next day. This saved us 3 or 4 days and the job was done correctly. Their customer service and understanding were great, it was a real job that required a real plumber, will always use in the future.

Don't us these people, horrible service! Called them out as the basement shower pan has water in it, and this is a shower that is never used. They could not offer a diagnosis of where the water was coming from nor offered any solution to the problem. But they made sure they got there money for doing nothing. I will never use this plumbing service again, not would recommend them to any one.

The best plumbers I have ever used. They have come out to our house on two different occasions, and I have been very pleased both times. The latest visit was today, Cole and Ethan were early for their appointment AND were incredibly honest about what the issue was. We thought we needed a new hot water heater, NOPE! The issue was the thermal coupler. If Cole and Ethan were not the respectable/honest people that they are, we would have blindly paid the $1000 to get the hot water heater replaced. I will never use any other plumbing service. I highly recommend this company.

The plumbers were excellent. They walked us through what the problem was and what to expect. They worked with our warranty company and quickly got our next scheduled visit and solved the issue in half the time expected. Also gave advice on how to prevent issues and maintain our pipes in the future. Highly recommend them.

Have a home warranty they were the company they use to fix my water heater. Have nothing bad to saying about them!! Office staff was very professional and extremely nice!! The two men sent were also professional and extremely nice!! I would recommend them if you have a plumbing problem!!

Used this company through a home warranty company on a property I own. Since I live in another state- I had no choice but to trust they would do the job. I'm still waiting 5 weeks now for an itemized statement/invoice. I also had my daughter inspect the home when she was in town and she found a gaping hole cut into the dry wall. When I called them to find out why they didn't fix it- they never called me back. They never even told me they had to cut into the wall. Very disappointing because I've been showing the property through a rental agency and no one brought this to my attention. Disgusted all the way around
