Stephen was a spectacular worker and a knowledgeable guest to have in our home. We called him in to redo our kitchen tile and backsplash and we couldn't be happier with his work. Always kind and willing to work with us, I fully recommend him for any future work.

I highly recommend Justin. He was able to fix a plumbing problem I had been having for over a year! Three other plumbers couldn't figure it out and Justin knew what the problem was five minutes after looking at my issue. I highly recommend him!

Quick response, courteous and very knowledgeable. We couldn't have asked for better service. We have called them twice for emergency situations and they have repaired the issue quickly and very reasonably.
I would definitely recommend them.

Per Cheryl of Hall Well & Plumbing, Pumps may not even last a month or a year. The quote above is a frightening insight into how the company's representative characterizes the parts and services provided. She was not motivated to maintain me as a customer or find common ground on exorbitant labor costs and faulty repairs.
The business provided inferior service on a well installed by them and charged excessive labor to correct problems from the bad installation.
Per the well tag, my well was installed in January 2007 by Hall Well & Plumbing. In March 2012, my faucets began to run dry and I appeared to be receiving no water from the well. I opened the valve at the well pump and received no water, indicating that the pump was likely not functioning properly.
As Hall installed the well, I felt it appropriate to request service from them, hoping familiarity with the property might decrease service time and foster a relationship. The dispatcher received my call Monday morning and two service technicians arrived a few hours later. Both the dispatcher and the technicians took note of my issue with obtaining water at the pump. A couple hours later, the technicians replaced the tank and switch and my water appeared to be flowing fine. My family and I were surprised to find that replacing the tank would have corrected the problem.
In April 2012, I incurred the same problem on a Friday afternoon. I called Hall and notified them of the identical problem. The dispatcher noted her men can help the next morning. The dispatcher did not notify me that labor rates on Saturday were different from Monday (the date of my previous service). As the dispatcher was unable to help me during the time I called, and did not offer night-time/emergency service, it appeared I was receiving standard service with delayed response. The company maintains an emergency telephone line which I did not utilize.
Two men arrived early Saturday morning and focused on repairing the well pump. The men detached the pump, noting it may be faulty, and took it with them as they left my property. The men returned almost 2 hours later and stated the pump had failed beyond repair and stated the best option was to replace it with another pump they had went and picked up. They replaced the pump and water appeared to be flowing fine. One of the servicemen called the dispatcher and reported his materials used for the repair and requested payment. Upon their departure, I noticed a landscape lighting fixture beside the well pump was damaged beyond repair (broken plastic).
I called the business the following Monday morning, requesting to speak with a manager regarding my charges and the overall inferior service. I was told someone would call me back. After multiple attempts to speak to an appropriate person and after speaking with multiple individuals, on Friday of the same week, four days after my initial request for clarification on the charges, I was told that all charges were appropriate and adequate.

I will not allow this jerk back on my property!
He gave me one estimate to run new plumbing in an older house for me. He went up on that estimate two more times, with each time hundreds of dollars more. He tore the insulation down from the floor joists where he needed to work and threw it on the ground. No, he didn't replace it either. He took short cuts to do the plumbing, and left his mess - discarded pipes, crimp clamps, and other mess under my house. I asked him to put the insulation back and clean up. His answer, nope. He also walked on my brand new hardwood floors with muddy shoes, and he knew I was watching. He did other work for me in which again he went up on the initial estimate two more times. He got pissed off at me for asking for the warranty paper work. Do not hire this jerk! Oh yeah. He loves spouting his religion. I don't pay someone for their religion. I pay them to do a good job.

The are not plumbers, they just play one on the internet!
Scam artists is more like it.
My experience was as follows:
Around Sept 19 2021 I called had a blockage needed it fixed.
They sent someone (who doesn't really speak English and horrible hand writing)
To come do a estimate. I was given 4 choices between $1600 and $5000! But said we can upgrade as the job progressed.
He went to work, every hour or so he'd come back down and say I need to add more something or a camera - which the camera didn't work after I agreed to pay for it.
After maybe 5 hours he had the toilets flush.
But they still gurgled and air bubbles would back out. He said in his best English that OK. That normal
I paid about $2200 and rushed to catch my flight.
I arrive back 2 weeks later Oct 5th and take a shower only to have the water back up on the first floor again! Same issue.
I called and said hey the blockage wasn't removed and please come back out.
I was put on hold and when she came back to the phone started with Well you know how we work ..... we have someone available we can give you an estimate... I was like you haven't even come to check the work you already did, you want me to agree to another $1600 to $5000 and you haven't even seen if your work was done properly?
I went on to say No you will come out here and look at what's going on before I agree to more money or I'll call another plumber and dispute this charge as fraud on my credit card
She hung up on me.
2200 dollars and they won't even come see if they did a proper job or not without charging me more money.
Well I have a real plumber on the way. I would have done that to start but the General Contractor I use was sick with COVID. He now has someone on the way to address the issue and I'm refusing payment to Amex, posting reviews such as this, making a complaint to the BBB, and will report them to the Secretary of State of NC as a fraud.

The past six times I've used Edward Mills I've been pleased. Very responsive and very fair pricing. They've helped me with two hot water heaters, fire logs, and basic plumbing repairs. I recommend them.

After scheduling an appt last week that was cancelled same day, I tried again. Today the technicians showed up for a few electrical issues and when they couldn't quick fix them (they tried for about 5 mins) , they said their manager needed them to install a generator for someone else so they had to leave. When I asked when they could come back he said they were really busy and it could be weeks and suggested I call another company. And then he wanted $111 for the gas/trip fee. WHAT?!?!
I asked to be placed BACK on their schedule and if/when they show back up and fix the problems, I'll happily update this review (and pay them the one time $111 gas/trip fee).
