I originally had RotoLiars come out & caught them lying & overcharging. I kicked them out of my home.
I then hired St Paul Pipeworks based on a neighbor's recommendation. These guys are great! Professional, reasonably priced, & quality work. I highly recommend them.

5-17-19 Had yet another great experience with St. Paul Pipeworks this time installing a new water heater at my home. Paul & Billy were great.

I used St. Paul Pipeworks for a leaky shower.  I first tried Benjamin Franklin plumbing and they wanted to replace the entire thing for $1000!  This was insane so I asked around and got a recommendation for St. Paul Pipeworks.  Professional and friendly staff, they were able to fix the leak for ~$300.  Will definitely be recommending them to anyone who needs a good, honest plumber in the area.

I had an issue with my toilet where it wouldn't flush because it wouldn't fill with water at all. I reached out to lots of plumbing companies, and St Paul Pipe works reached out to me the same day via text with a quote, because I requested to be reached via text or email. Most of the companies that responded back saying they couldn't give me a quote without coming out, soI was happy to have at least a ballpark figure from Pipe Works.

I set up an appointment for 1:00-3:00pm on 04/19/19, and I got a call around 12:00pm saying they could come early if I was home. Unfortunately, I was still at work so we agreed to keep the 1pm-3pm time frame. They came at 1:15pm, and were done by 1:40, a lot quicker than I expected! I can't remember their names, but both were really nice, and one even said my diy work on the toilet was a decent job lol.

I had to end up having my toilet fill valve and flapper replaced, and I was charged exactly what was quoted, $189 for the repairs, and $89 service fee with a $25 discount. I'm giving five stars because of the quick response time, being given an exact quote before the service, and the fact they came to my house early so I wouldn't have to wait at the house all day. My toilet works perfectly now, thank you!

In the past, I've called a plumber, had the work done and never wanted to call the same plumber again.  I've used St. Paul Pipeworks three times now.  Each time I've received excellent service, they fix all the items on my checklist each visit, and if they can't do something, they explain why, so that it makes sense to me.  Communication with St. Paul Pipeworks is excellent from the first call where they get a description of the problem(s) and schedule a time and day, to the person who does the work.  Their staff is knowledgeable, professional and personable.  Before beginning any work, they assess the problems while at my home, then give an estimate of what it will cost.  St. Paul Pipeworks is outstanding, trustworthy, and I never want to call anyone but their company now.

I have no idea how we stumbled up St. Paul Pipeworks, but I am SOOO glad we did! They are our go-to for any plumbing needs. We have called them with big and small jobs and no matter what the issue, they treat it like it's the most important thing they are doing. Every employee we have dealt with has been extremely professional and courteous, and up front about everything. I will never use another plumber -- they are AMAZING!!!!

We recently bought our house and were trying to put a vented hood in the kitchen to replace a recycler microwave when the project exploded.  The HVA/C techs recommended Charlie and he showed up within hours for what we thought was going to be a small job of moving one pipe.  He started looking around and discovered that all the plumbing from the second floor bathroom to the basement was not only not to code but also in jeopardy of causing major issues (wrong sized pipes, joints where they shouldn't be, standing water in capped pipes, etc.). Phil stopped by shortly after and took two hours and a lot of running up and down stairs to diagnose the job and give us a comprehensive scope of repairs he would propose.  It really made me feel like he was taking the time to get it right and solve the whole situation instead of just a symptom of a problem.

We had one price and only one price due to their thorough diagnosis - the quoted price and time was spot on.  Phil scheduled us in and came back for an 8 hour installation and fix.  When it looked like he may not make it solo in the 8 hours he promised, he called in backup and it didn't cost us more or extend the job.

The best part and the reason I will forever recommend this group as well as have them back for all my plumbing needs is their incredible follow up. Phil worked with me to identify when the inspector could come out and close the job so we didn't have to make extra phone calls or deal with the city at all.  A few days before the inspection, we found out that the previous owners had kindly left us with an open plumbing permit from a totally different company.  That company told me to just work it out with the inspector and luckily, the inspector said he was willing to tag it onto his already scheduled visit.  Phil showed up early and had already talked to the inspector that day and heard about the other permit.  He set up the house to facilitate the inspector's visit and asked me about the other permit.  He took the time to check out the work and asked great questions to understand the mechanics of the house.  When the inspector showed up, Phil talked him through all his work step-by-step and walked him through the work the other company did!

For all that work, the inspector was maybe in the house for 10 minutes because of Phil's prep work and passion for his job.  He put everything back and was out the door (he spent all this time and attention on our house on a Friday even though he had plans to go out of town with his family- when I found out, I forced him out and promised to do the final touches of clean up myself I was so impressed with his commitment!).

St. Paul Pipeworks cares about every job they do and the people they help.  Their commitment shows when they send thank you cards and remember you with a card on the holidays.  It seems like a small thing but it sure doesn't make you feel like a number.  Charlie's commitment is best summarized in his statement to us, Plumbing should last longer than any of us so I plan to do my job so well, I won't see you again for this work.  All the more reason that when the rest of the house gets remodeled, Charlie and Phil are the only plumbers I will allow through the front door.

Fair warning: Charlie and Phil may not be the cheapest bid you could get but would you rather save money and have a headache with permits and poor workmanship or spend a little extra with a company that takes great pride in their work and is committed to making your experience as wonderful and stress free as possible?  I am more than willing to spend a little more now and call St Paul Pipeworks first than call them second after the first company screws up and I now have to pay for the work twice!

The Saint Paul Pipeworks team was terrific to work with for our basement half bath. Everyone we met with was helpful, friendly, and on time. The project took them only a couple weeks.

We needed to get a couple small projects taken care of and I had multiple companies come out for bids. Not only did St Paul Pipeworks have the best rates, but they were also incredibly friendly and great at explaining what they were doing and why. As a first time homeowner, I really appreciated them taking the time to explain why they took certain steps. Paul and Drew in particular were fantastic. I cannot recommend St Paul Pipeworks enough!

I was looking for a local plumber to fix a leaky faucet, and the plumbers I previously used didn't renew their Minneapolis license.  So I went onto Yelp and found St. Paul Pipeworks.  They were great, from telling me what they needed prior to starting the job (photos of my faucet), to confirming that they received the photos, and then coming earlier than the scheduled time (which I had asked for).  Paul was knowledgeable and patient with my watching/questions, and he was careful with my floor and countertops.  Fair and reasonable pricing as well.

Charlie and Phil are great. A friend recommended them. They're responsive, keep you informed about their work and what's going on with your home's pipes. I moved a washer upstairs to a new area and they installed quality plumbing...and found and replaced some old pipes that could have caused thousands in home repairs had they gone unchecked.
I will use these guys for my bathroom remodel next.

Very dissapointed, hired them 9 months ago and the shower kit they installed already is dripping. Just crap. They quoted me $900 and then when the bill came it was $1000. Tacked on a $90+ service fee on top of labor and parts, was not in the quote. And they forgot to leave the trim kit which delayed installation. They got mad when I asked them about the bogus $90 fee. It was all around a huge dissapointment.
