Even though I ended up not needing the help, Ted was very helpful and quick to respond. I appreciated his taking the time to respond so quickly and being so kind in the process. I will save his information for when I really need him!

I had a toilet to replace with a new one that I bought. I choose Gladiator based on yelp reviews. The work is completed by Rick. Gladiator team was prompt in communication, scheduling, accommodating the reschedule.

Rick completed the installation in short time. The installation by itself was done well. I appreciate the work done by Rick and he clarified my questions.

Overall I like their work and responsiveness however I was surprised that the services does not include hauling the old toilet. Also, they don't caulk the gap between floor and toilet base.

I have not heard back from the office on why they didn't inform ahead that the hauling is not included. Based on other user's review, I agree, as a customer's have reviewed. We should have the scope of work and how much they charge clearly before engaging their services. The work is done by the staff but how much we pay & scope of work is decided by front office, so please confirm your deal before you sign-up.

Customers should be cautious when engaging to avoid disappointment.

Our water heater's pilot light just would not stay lit--I called Bill that morning, and later that afternoon he had replaced some faulty thermal coupling. He's responsive, fast, and knowledgeable. Thanks Bill!

My hot water heater sprang a small leak.  I called Ed around 1:00 pm, and I had a new hot water heater installed by 3:30.  When it seemed that the installation had affected the water pressure, I called Ed - he turned right around and came back within 15 minutes, fixed the problem (the water sitting in the pipes during the installation had stirred up some old sediment) within another 15 minutes, and now I have plenty of hot water.  

Great service, reasonable price, didn't mind coming back to fix a related problem - you can't beat that.

Ruined the bathroom.

We had some slow drains so we called 24-7 Rooter to come snake the lines. they fished the snake into a few places, notably the overflow drain in the bathtub.

The problem came months later when I filled the tub for a bath (I usually shower instead) and when the water level hit the overflow it drained down into the unit below. I inspected the drain and saw that the seal had been broken where it connects inside the tub and there were wads of putty trying to hold it together. Without any way to repair this without removing the tub I am now in the process of renovating the entire bathroom. There is NO WAY the plumber didn't know that he broke it. The putty was an unacceptable, sneaky fix.

Caveat emptor, there is a clause in the contract releasing them from liability from any pipe damage caused by the cleaning BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME.

Needed a bathroom fan replaced. It was an old fan that needed drywall work too on demolition. Right handyman did a solid, clean job. He was patient and took care of the details well including wiring up and placement of the fan. The drywall work was clean. Looking forward to hiring them again for a few more handy projects

Sewer line backed up while we were house-sitting for friends in Berkeley. Nightmare scenario! Made a couple of calls to compare prices and availability. Sal was great on the phone and said he'd send over one of his guys the next day at 10am. Eddie showed up early (bonus points) and let us describe the problem. We opened a window so Eddie could plug in to power their sewer line snake. The line was clogged with roots and dirt and other stuff (don't ask) so it took two passes through the line, but after a couple of hours, everything worked as it should, and the final price was the same as the quote. Eddie was affable, polite, and such a friendly guy. He explained everything he was doing. HIGHLY recommended.

I must say, Adrian from Ace was a great help to me today.  My water heater sprung a leak this morning and as I went to turn the water off from the shut off valve, the valve itself broke!  Just my luck.

I called Ace and the staff there were very friendly and gave me a time frame to which a technician would come out.  Sure enough, Adrian showed up right on time.

I was thinking I may have to change out the whole water heater.  What does that translate into ... CHA CHING!  major dollars!  Instead of trying to convince me that I need a whole new heater...he educated me and told me that I didn't need a new heater and that he could fix not only the 1 leak but BOTH in about 1.5 hours.  Music to my ears.

I could go on and on.  Bottom line...I would definitely recommend this company and if you get Adrian to come out...consider yourself lucky.  I would say they are responsive, knowledgeable, and honest.  Thanks Ace!

An update, the installation is done and we're very happy with it. Del, Tyler, and Eric, efficiently installed our new air conditioning unit, water heater and furnace, and got it all set up on schedule. They also hired electricians to run wire from the furnace to the AC and that went smoothly too. I highly recommend their services to anyone in the market for them!

We had a bit of a surprise when it turned out the vent in the garage I mentioned in my prior review, that Andrew had said they'd include for us, was not written in the final plan despite being promised to us verbally. It turns out that the vent he suggested would have been against code. When we went to follow up with Andrew to clarify the matter, it turned out that he had left the company since signing our deal. That was a concerning note to start the installation on, and we did feel a little misled by it all, and made us wonder whether any of the other things Andrew had told us were true, like that we needed an especially expensive air conditioning unit to meet code. However, the actual installation went very smoothly and we're quite happy with the work that was done.

Updates:
Mario called and harassed me verbally over the phone for the bad experience I wrote. I wish that I recorded the call. This was the worst experience that I've ever had.

I left a 1 star review at night. First thing in the morning (8:23am), Mario called, i didn't pick up the phone the first time because I didn't recognize the phone number. Then I got called again at 10am, i picked up the phone, didn't realize it was for this review. immediate Mario asked I'm Mario plumbing, it seems like you are not happy about our service. why did you write this bad review. I was being completely honest about my experience with him and described why I didn't like how it was done in calm.

After I told him my experience, He said my technicians might not be clear with you. but since $250 isn't making your poorer and also isn't making us richer, I can give you back the service charge but you have to remove this review. I didn't really like the way he treated the issue, sounded like he just doesn't want a bad review rather than apologizing for the bad experience we had. So I told him I don't really care about the charge now, but rather I'd like to stick with my experience and the review.

Mario's attitude then turned 180 and said you were NOT telling 100% truth in your review, you were only 50%. He mentioned that they can work on plastic pipes but the pipe was at a difficult place to work on. However, we had plumbers come to fix it afterwards without saying that's a difficult fix. He then questioned me what do you do? do you write bad reviews as a job? to make money!? (Didn't know that could be a profession). And also stated I know what you are doing now, you are just bullying companies! You are a bully!

So if I take the money and take down my review, I'm not a bully. if I tell my true experience, I'm a bully? Now I started to understand why it's all good reviews here.

it's truly the worst experience! I've never had a service that called to harass me for a review I wrote.

If you have PLASTIC water pipe, avoid this service. I leave this review because:
1. They offered more costly yet wrong suggestions.
2. Didn't inform us they couldn't work on certain things like plastic pipe ahead of time.
3. Insisted to charge the same amount even though they couldn't fix it.

We had a leak on the ceiling through a fan over couple weekends ago. our home is quite new, built less than 3 years ago, we couldn't think of any reason for the leak. Called Mario's since they have almost all 5 star reviews, and got a quote that weekends have a ~$350 charge just for coming over even if they can't do anything, so we booked the first available time on Monday instead.

Two people arrived on time, took a look at the ceiling and claimed that it's highly likely to be the toilet right above the fan that was leaking. They suggested to open the toilet first since it's easier to put back than the ceiling. They gave us a quote on fixing toilet and the ceiling, $350ish to fix toilet and $250ish to open ceiling for fixing. Since we weren't sure what's leaking so we asked if it made more sense to check the ceiling first and they agreed.

Few mins later, they opened the ceiling and found the leak on hot water pipe (not toilet). However they told us that they can't fix it because they only fix copper pipe NOT plastic pipe like PEX. I asked if we can negotiate the charge since they couldn't perform the fix. Yet, they insisted on charging the same amount for opening the ceiling even though they can't fix anything.

Glad we asked them to open the ceiling first rather than open the toilet, otherwise, they would find nothing leaks from the toilet, then opened the ceiling which would cost even more, without fixing anything!

We had another plumber here to check on the leak earlier, who offered free charge to open the ceiling but charges only for fixing. We wanted to get a second opinion from this FIVE STAR plumber and thought it would be similar amount for the fix anyway. What a waste of time and money.

This is an example of one of those companies that came through with their promises. Many roofers we contacted simply did not show up or gave us the we're busy for three months line. Eco Smart came out, evaluated our roof and quickly got back to us with the proposal, we chose them because they were the ones who responded to our emails quickly and were easy to talk to. Great company that delivers great results, have I said that they are Eco Friendly?

We had an emergency toilet issue ~ (  ) It sounded like a cat was trapped in the tank (!). I contacted Discount Plumbing and they responded very quickly ~ within  90 minutes Marcus the plumber was at the house and working on the problem . I recommend Discount Plumbing for plumbing needs .

I've worked with Mark for the last 5 years. He is one of the most professional folks in the business. We have had him work on multiple projects from residential to commercial.

I'd strongly recommend him for large or small scale projects. He is a true pro.

what a nightmare
the price  for the connection was many $$$$$ more than they said, broke the water  main, ran wrong ditches, all in all had no clue what they were doing.  Denied damaging the neighbors house and lots of other  bad things. A true nightmare.
Since the owner responded and said that what I wrote is untrue I have posted pictures of:
1-broken water main- the one where the water company working at night time
2-my neighbor's window broken -which they denied breaking, it must just happen to break when they were using heavy equipment in front of their house
3-their equipment on the road- and all the damage
4-other pictures
As I wrote- it was a true nightmare and now months later the road is still not paved and filled with bumps and cracks

This review is overdo as the work was done in November 2020.  Johnny and Joey whom we hired to unclogged the kitchen sink due to rusted, clogged, and cracked pipes did not disappoint.  This was our first time using Citywide, and they were recommended by a family member.  We had a clogged sink for days and needed to find a plumber.  Johnny came highly recommended by my cousin who had used their services a few times.  First,  they were on time.  I don't think I have ever experienced this from anywhere which is a good first impression.  This shows he cares about his business and his clients.  Johnny looks at what needs to be done and they both worked immediately.  They were fast, efficient, professional, and did excellent work.  Doesn't hurt that they have a sense of humor,  and I felt comfortable asking questions.  I can't comment on the price as we trusted our cousin's recommendation and it needed to be done.  So glad we put our trust in hiring them.  Every five star review here is true!

Marvin and Gregorio came to install two bidets and they were very efficient and quick.  They came on time, worked    on my toilets, one of which had a leak in the hose coming out of the wall, and installed another bidet without any problems. I would certainly use them again

Our toilet needed to be replaced and it was 1pm on a Friday.  I called one company and they would be able to come on Monday but we had family coming I needed someone soone  if possible.  I called Echo and was told they could have someone out between 3:30-4 that day; Chris and Samuel arrived as promised and were very polite and professional.  They went over the charges again and confirmed their services.  The were very efficient and did a great job; we would recommend Echo without hesitation.

I woke up to no hot water one morning last month and discovered that the pilot went out.  I tried to relight it, but was having no success.  I called Gladiator that morning and by noon Phill arrive at the house.  He was very friendly and courteous.  Pretty quickly he discovered that the igniter was broken and had it fixed within an hour.  I would definitely use Gladiator again.

Thank you so much FRP!!!! I called at 730a for a forever clogged bathroom sink and by 830 Ben was here and by 9 it was fixed! He was so nice and very respectful of my personal situation to please remove shoes and be as quiet as possible to not wake my sleeping baby or ill father - reasonably priced and I was really shocked to get such amazing quick AND friendly service!!! Please everyone if you need a plumber call them!!!!!!! Thank you Fast Response Plumbing!!!!!!!

We will never use another plumber again!  We were quoted over triple the amount for a sewer line replacement job that Sam was able to do for us. He was professional, honest and quick. We highly recommend Sam and Anderson Plumbing!  He was awesome!
