Sean showed up promptly (only 75min after making the appointment, on a Saturday evening!) and quickly resolved our blocked kitchen sink issue! He snakes all the way down past our surrounding apartments and cleaned up nicely afterwards too. Sean was professional, wearing a mask, super friendly and very efficient! Great service and great result. And he gave us some music tips too!

I had a leak in my main line and gave this company a call for repairs. I usually do most simple repairs, but me, being a senior, was not able to do this type of work. So a quick call to AAM & Kline plumbing got me an appointment the following morning. But due to an emergency my repair was rescheduled for the following day. Understandable so it wasn't a problem for me. The following day I received a call and due to a medical issue with someone connected with the company they couldn't make the appointment. But the leak was larger than I had expressed and while they were ready to reschedule me after the holiday weekend it really needed to be repaired. The water had filled the the area where the meter was located and flowing out making a puddle in the surrounding area. So AAM & Kline made arrangements for another company to come out on a Saturday and repair the leak. They lost money but the customer service is outstanding. I understand that problems can crop up. I was raised in a small family business and sometimes unavoidable circumstances presented itself with our business that prevented our fulfilling previously scheduled issues. Would I recommend AAM & Kline? Whole heartily! Fortunately for me the repair was simple and I couldn't be happier.

I wish we had found H & R plumbing sooner. We first called H&R when we finally had it with our washing machine backing up and flooding the laundry room due to some kind of blockage. This went on for years - calling a plumber to clear the pipe but not actually fixing the issue. When Rafael came to our house to inspect, he really did inspect. He was under the house taking photos pipes and the issue(s). He gave us his recommendations and cost. We went ahead and got a second quote. The plumber that came out wasn't even going to go under the house to inspect until I told him that the first plumber we called did go under. He then proceeded to go under for about 2 minutes. His scope of work would have been minimal and would not have solved the issue. Needless to say, we went with H&R. Rafael and his team were quick and neat. We haven't had an issue since. We then used H&R for our plumbing needs in our recent kitchen remodel and, again, we were happy we did. Honestly, great work, and a fair price - what more can you ask for. Thank you H&R.

Eddie from Viper was professional from start to finish. Eddie was responsive on the Yelp request form and was willing to give a quote online. I had a leaky toilet that needed immediate repair. I liked what he had to say and he seemed very knowledgeable so we made the appointment. He and crew arrived on time and got to work. They were cool with all my questions and got the job done without any hassle. Gonna use them for my rental properties in the future.

Today is January 9, 2016!  He fixed our plumbing issues with a smile.
We have a townhome which has 4 bathrooms. We've been here 12 years and slowly the plumbing finally couldn't take it no more! First the master bedroom shower stopped working so we procrastinated and started using the second bathroom (mines!) with the shower and tub. Then the hot water stopped in that shower/tub....second level powder room is fine, but the kitchen pipes got clogged so we used the powder room to wash dishes!!!! We've been using the first floor shower, the only shower with hot water out of three! Sooooo scared to call a plumber until our $$$ ship would sail in. Well, I first called a plumbing company in Alameda that wanted $75 for just a look-see visit and estimate. Looked at their Yelp reviews....terrible with several apologies from the owner...fishy fishy. Red lights went BLING BLING! Right below was Mauro's Plumbing. Called for the appt, it was set for today...we were soooo nervous about the price. My husband sent me to the ATM to be prepared for the worst. HE FIXED EVERYTHING FOR $175.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUITO OBRIBGADO MAURO! We were soooooo pleased. He was a nice guy, respectful, got right to work and now I can use my tub to soak in! I can kick my husband out of my bathroom....LIFE IS GOOD!  Thank you so much Mauro....We will definitely recommend him to anyone. It is rare when you want to pay more, but with this guy, you want too!!!

Several years ago, Shane installed our new heating and air conditions system.  We were quoted a great price for installation.  This is a 90 year old house, and no one had ever installed air conditioning. So this was such a treat for us and the system has worked flawlessly ever since.

This year our water heater went out, and we called Shane.  He installed a new tankless water heater, which has provided us with an endless supply of hot water.  Shane is always very pleasant to deal with.  We will use his services for future plumbing needs!

Took care of the complete bbq installation and didn't try to charge me for needless parts or service. Fantastic experience, will be using as my plumber from now on.

I have had several contractors do work in my basement to try and solve the drainage problem. Wayne gave me a reasonable price to give me a dry basement, not to do something that he thought might work but didn't completely solve the problem, as the others had done.I am on a tight budget, so he came up with a couple of less expensive solutions that were both creative and worked for me.  I am disabled and he and his workers went over and above, moving my personal belongings out of the way so they could dig a trench and put a drainage system in. When I had water again, they were out to my house lickety-split to dig another trench, no charge.  I am surprised at the other review, because Wayne has been extremely responsive, professional and best of all, HONEST, which is hard to come by nowadays. Great value for the price, and they left the place immaculate each time they worked here. I have contacted him a couple of time with questions/concerns, and he has either been right out or helped me over the phone immediately.

I hired Trench Free on the basis of the reviews here.  I wish I had just had a trench dug and NOT hired Trench Free. Please post if you have real experience to share.  The general manager responded to my concerns by claiming the five star reviews are accurate and he wishes he could review customers like me.

Carlos Dias is the sales person.  On his consultation visit, I had asked if he was actually the one on the jobs and he said yes.  Actually he does not attend the job and the communication was poor between  him and the person who was in charge on site because many aspects of the job were not discussed.  

Examples:

Carlos had agreed that my new water line would be a foot over from current location and he'd connect it to my house water.  This was needed to comply with current code which requires water lines to be more than 36 from gas meter.  The actual foreman Luis knew nothing of that, argued with me, didn't want to move the water line or do the connection.  Stress.  I had to argue to get it done.  Luis is not an easy guy to deal with.  If they didn't move it, then my permit would not have passed final inspection and my gas meter upgrade that is pending with PG&E would never get done.

Carlos had agreed no elbows were needed (they affect the water pressure) and that the length of the long water line would be straight with one sweeping bend.  Luis installed three 90-degree elbows in the water line and my house pressure is now 5 PSI below the pressure at my water meter.  Luis claimed my water pressure is fine at the lower amount -- but that's not the point.  It's not his decision whether to lower my pressure 5 PSI or not just to be lazy.

Carlos said the new polyethylene water line would have wire wrapped around it, so it would be traceable in the future (because not a metal pipe).  I looked in one of the multiple open trenches they dug (note: multiple trenches not trenchless) and saw the wire ended in one of the trenches and did not continue.  I brought it to their attention.  I asked them several times to trace the wire and see how much water line had no wire (the line was ~200 feet).  Lucky I caught it because they had to dig yet *another* trench and spend half a day to repair this mistake just to finish running the tracing wire.

Their drilling truck will make holes in your pavement where it has to anchor.  The holes are about 6 diameter but they are going to cut big rectangles and patch too.  Leaving about 10 big rectangular patches.

Carlos said it was a 1-2 day job. Actual 4 days not including the asphalt repair which is still pending.  Understandable because some things were harder than Carlos made them out to be but Carlos should have realized it was not a 1-2 day job or given that expectation.  Since I live on a cul-de-sac and my neighbors would lose access during the job it was important to have an accurate prediction because they were angry when it lasted longer than they were warned.

I was without water for the majority of their working time - not JUST on the day they connected the new line.  Why?  They cut through my existing water line not once but twice with their drilling.  Had to patch it twice, each time resulting in hours without water.  Once was overnight and they hooked up a hose to our house to provide water overnight. However the hose was not drinking water safe and most hoses have lead. A company that replaces water lines should know a general rubber hose is not drinking water safe.  They did not know what I was talking about. Then on the day they connected the new line we were without water as expected for several hours.

The last day was crazy.  They scheduled inspection when they were not actually done.  Electrician showed up on last day to rush hooking up a ground wire from the house water pipes to my main electrical meter.  No one planned ahead for the fact that the main meter was on a detached garage and how to get the wire there from the house water pipes.  They were going to bury it a couple inches below dirt where any shovel would have severed it.  Luckily I had installed conduit under ground for my future use and allowed them to use it.  No one at the company had thought about this aspect of the job.

Carlos never mentioned they'd be running my water from my hose all day every day as they did their drilling (except of course when they cut my water line twice).  I asked who was paying for all that water.  Carlos said to tell him if my water bill was high and they'd reimburse me.  When PG&E had trenched my new power line, they supplied their own water.  Beware Trench Free plans to use a lot of yours.

The job is not finished - they have not come to repair the asphalt and I have not yet received my water bill for reimbursement.  Yet I got a notice of a mechanics lien tonight.  I checked with Carlos and his only response call billing.  He refuses to do anything.

I called many plumbers and Dependable Rooter & Plumbing won me over. They gave me an honest quote, answered my million questions and gave me options. I didn't feel rushed to make a decision. The work was done fast and they cleaned up! There was no mess and they made sure I was happy with the work. I will definitely be using them again.

I thought I just had a clogged kitchen sink. Turns out it was more complicated than snaking the drain. There was years worth of gunk lining the pipes that needed to be blown out. They came back with the equipment to hydro jet the line and successfully cleared it.
My phone call was immediately answered, someone came out that afternoon, I was kept updated by text of their arrival time. The plumbers were courteous and incredibly neat and tidy. I highly recommend VIP.

What a friendly guy!  He is a very skilled plumber, very fair in his pricing, and extremely polite.  I feel that though he initially came to my home as a stranger, he left my home as a friend, and I would say that it is a testament to his great interpersonal social skills to be able to do that.  

He's just a nice guy, he'll solve your plumbing problems at reasonable cost, and I would definitely trust him again to take care of my plumbing issues in the future.

I own a property management company and Payless Plumbing is our go to vendor whenever our clients have any plumbing issues.  On countless occasions have we had emergencies that required a plumber and Payless has always come through at all hours of the night. In addition, their pricing is very competitive and their work is excellent!

Words cant describe how horrific my experience was with this company. 1 word- RUN. I saw the initial bad reviews and this was my second company I had come look at my septic (Previous was Drain Pro and you can see the review on their page). I called for a quote on a septic inspection, pump, and certification since I was selling my home. My holes were already dug due to the previous incident with Drain Pro. I have on camera the tech come out and not even look in the hole, he said nothing can be done and walked away asking who they can bill for $200 for the 7 minutes he was at our property. Recall that I have this on surveillance with time stamps. They gave no opinion or alternate options. (I understand septics are a pain in the rear and many techs probably don't get paid enough to want to deal with it). Days later I followed up to make sure I was not getting billed to my escrow since now I had to move on to a 3rd plumbing company. I called really nice and quietly( my boss was nearby) and instantly the woman whom answered was very defensive. I explained my confusion on what services were provided and she read off a list of what the tech did and even included how he dug the holes. Again recall I called Drain Pro before and had my holes dug. Still in my quiet and polite voice, she said many disrespectful things including what kind of thief homeowner are you selling your home with a septic like that in that condition. I did not respond and just requested to speak to a manager to discuss it and she scoffed and word by word said I am the manager and I can talk how I want

The sad thing of this all: my escrow contacted me with good news and said hey we found a company that will charge 6k to repair your septic, and I asked yay who is it?! They responded : Kangarooter. I told them the experience I had with them and they were surprised.

Truly out of any company here in town, I didn't think it was going to be so bad, not even my bad experience with Drain Pro compared to this company

My property management company sent this company to repair a leak. He came the first day, and looked at and told me he had to turn off the water supply to the whole apartment building to fix it, so he would have to come back the next day between 11 and 1.

The next day, 11 comes and goes, so does noon, and then at 1:30 I called to ask where they were. I was rather rudely told that 'something bigger had come up'. Now I understand emergencies happen, but I happen to know this guy works with at least 2  apprentices. Not a single one of you could spare 30 seconds to call and inform me?! He acted as if I was seriously inconveniencing him. So I asked when he could come and he said again the next day between 11-1. I said I am not staying home a second time if he isn't going to show up and he got all nasty with me saying he couldn't predict what would happen. I truly understand that. But it is not cool to expect people to stay home from work multiple days in a row on a chance that he *may or may not* show up. Really shady business practices.

I will give 2 stars because they did finally come and fix the problem. But zero stars for customer service. Seriously, I am sure there is another plumber out there that values your business enough to show up at an appointment time, or at least have the courtesy to call you.

Yep, Jon was perfect: He answered his phone, was able to come out soon, was efficient and friendly and knowledgeable and talked *to* me not at/down to me...all around awesome. I was actually just thinking: What else can he come help me with...oooh, my sump pump! Gonna call him now...
