Matthew is the BEST!! I am a repeat customer for Matt installing my Hot Water Heaters BUT this time I called him with a different issue. I have been having lately water coming up from the floor off and on which is really weird to me. We have had some water issues in the past BUT this one it took a professional to find, I would have NEVER found it. I called Matt last week told him what was going on and he offered to come and check it out for me on a consultation @no charge because he wanted to help me figure this out. He looked at my kitchen floor, kitchen sink, bathroom, bathroom clean out, closets, we ran some bathtub tests and nothing really to cause something like what we have been seeing. THEN he found it!! We just bought a condo and ordered and New Refrigerator with indoor Ice and Water. I noticed that there was no Ice or Water coming from the fridge. First I thought it might be broken, I checked the water connection behind the fridge and realized that there was not water. I called Matthew's plumber they came the same day and gave me a very reasonable quote to run a line from the sink around the cabinets to the fridge. They were on time for the appointment to do the work, they completed the work and you would never have know that anyone was there drilling holes in my cabinets and a tube to the fridge. I now have Ice and Water and I am very happy, if I ever have a plumbing issue I will call Matthew again.
I needed a plumber and decided to call Matt. He definitely knows his stuff and fixed the shower problem quickly. He showed up on time, his prices were fair and he is a nice guy. I would recommend him if you need a plumber.

Matthew was very laid back and handled all the curveballs we ended up giving him on his first call to our home. We were moving into our new home in CA from NJ, so we were in touch with him through our travels. Matthew was responsive and returned my calls.
Since we needed to get some immediate issues fixed, we only had him out once so far, but Matthew's work and pricing were on par with the plumbers we have used for decades in NJ. Reasonable, responsive, and left the job site clean and ready for use. What more could you ask for in a professional?

So happy to find Matthew who saved us thousands down to under $200 for an easy fix after our previous local plumber of many years quoted us a complete shower fixture redo, going through walls, and refusing to even come to our home to assess our situation, only wanted pics, not to mention a very rude phone encounter where I was informed he was the expert, not me. Turned out Matthew simply removed an internal plastic piece in the cartridge, and we now have hot water again! He also replaced a tub faucet in our second bath. He just gained our home and two rental properties' business. He is also very kind and responsive to calls.
Waited for Matthew for more than a week because his schedule was full. The wait was worth it because he did a great job, went above and beyond. Stayed a little longer to make sure that everything was fine. No wonder he gets a lot of work. First time I hired a plumber and I'll definitely call him back in the future.
Called Matthew to replace our kitchen faucet. What a great decision. He did an amazing job not only installing the new faucet but also fixed a leak! Clean installation and his work is top notch. Definitely will use him for all future plumbing needs.

Did a review 4 months ago and for some reason it only ahowed 4 stars. Should have been 5. Here is the review.
I had my Hot Water Heater take a dump. I called Mike Diamond Plumbing which I had a good experience with. They wanted $4200 to replace my 50 gallon tank. I contacted Matthew's Plumbing and he replaced my tank for $1350. Could not be more satisfied with his professionalism and quality of service. Within 4 hours we were good to go. He is local and we always try to support our local businesses. The other quotes in Yelp were 4 to 5 hundred more than what we paid. If you want good service from a solid dude please support this guy.

I have been a customer of Matthews Plumbing since 2010, for both commercial and residential repairs. He is responsive, professional, and very knowledgeable; even when I refer to items as that thingy where the water goes and connects to that other thing, LOL. He always gets it taken care of. Our water heater broke and my wife had called a local company that tried to take advantage of us. I quickly called a few other places, and Matthew ended up being our choice. I wanted to support a small business, and hopefully help a plumber that wasn't a huge chain. Matthew ended up being able to come out the next day, and everything worked out perfectly. I was really surprised to hear that he was going to charge us $20 less because we had a piece that he didn't think we had. I will definitely use him again!
Matthew returned my call AND showed up at our house THE SAME DAY I called him! He quickly assessed and fixed our toilet problem, then gave us advice about a minor tub/shower issue (no charge) and about our sewer system outside (again, no charge). 100% sure we will use him again if need be!
I highly recommend Matthews Plumbing for quality work, fair prices, and honesty. Matthew re-piped my entire home, so it's clear he can manage large jobs without problem. I am so glad I found Matthew's Plumbing here on Yelp. I had a multi-step project to do and Matthew handled it extremely well even though it required three visits to complete the job (as we originally planned for). I REALLY like that when you call Matthew's Plumbing it is Matthew that shows-up to do the work; first time, every time. I found him to be professional, personable, knowledgeable and prompt (he actually shows-up when he says he will). He did not blindly do what I asked of him but offered other suggestions to prevent a reoccurrence of my plumbing problem. We had a hot water heater go out and begin to leak and needed a plumber quickly. Matthew (who we had used before) came out quickly. We called at 10am and he was there with the new water heater and materials by 1:30. He did a great job at a reasonable pricing and was professional. He also diagnosed and handled another issue while he was there.

Matthew is amazing! I called him regarding a non-emergent leak. He was able to schedule me after the weekend, which was absolutely perfect. He arrived to my house, listened to everything I said, and began to diagnose the problem. He saved me a ton of money, but still fixed my problem. He didn't make the job bigger than it needed to be. I hope I don't constantly need a plumber, but if I do, Matthew is my guy! I will recommend him time and time again.
Matthew was very professional and courteous. We had a leak in our master's bathroom shower head and needed fixing with our hot water in the guest bathroom, all upstairs past a carpeted area. We don't wear shoes in the house and absolutely no shoes on the carpeted area. He was the only plumber we've seen (got quotes from a couple others) that asked if he needed to take his shoes off to go upstairs. We normally don't say anything because we are the ones that don't want to be an inconvenience to others, but he showed courtesy and we really appreciated that. He was very efficient and explained what was wrong with everything. Fixed everything in the amount of time he specified and didn't charge for the time alone like another was going to do. Hopefully we won't need any more fixing for awhile but if we do, we'll definitely call Matthew!

So many times, the reason I select a plumber is not because they're the best, most popular, the cheapest, etc. Usually it's because there's something that needs to be fixed and I'm in a hurry to get it fixed. So, I choose the plumber who can get there the fastest to take care of the problem. In this instance, fortunately it was not an emergency. I needed to have a new utility sink plumbed in my garage.
Matthew answered my call promptly and got to the house quickly to take a look at the job. He gave me an immediate quote and we scheduled a day to get it done.
On the day of the work, Matthew arrived on time and prepared. He got everything done quickly, efficiently, and for a very reasonable price. He had all of the parts that were needed to complete the job on his truck. Matthew went above and beyond and attached the vanity properly to the wall and calked the seam against the wall neatly and professionally. That little extra effort made a huge difference! I could not have been more pleased with his work and will look to him again for any future plumbing needs.
I do not write many reviews but I think Matthew's Plumbing is truly deserving. I had a water heater failure during labor day weekend. I researched and found Matthew's Plumbing but he was unavailable until Tuesday morning. He provided a competitive bid over the phone and noted that he was taking the weekend with his family.
I actually appreciated that he was prioritizing his family. He told me what needed to be done until Tuesday so that I did not have a bigger issue. He promptly replaced the unit on Tuesday with the price as quoted. Not much more you can ask. Great service at a great price!

I contacted Matthew's Plumbing and 5 other plumbing companies because I needed to replace my 40 gal water heater, which was leaking, ASAP. I ended up going with Matthew's Plumbing because Matthew was responsive, timely, knowledgeable, and provided a competitive replacement quote. In addition, during the install he was friendly, prompt with his appt. times (estimate and later install), and professional throughout the process. Matthew performed an outstanding job. I recommend calling him for your plumbing needs.
Ok, here's the scenario. We are doing entire kitchen remodel. EVERYTHING. I did my contractor research and based upon his reviews, I thought ok, I want to contact him.
I am glad I did.
Today, he installed brand new faucets, new garbage disposal, new dishwasher connections. He did it all for a very, very decent price. He will not cheat you.
I told him that when I find a guy to be my go to guy, such as electrician, car mechanic, etc, and he takes care of me and does an outstanding job, I KEEP HIM.
If you have any plumbing needs, put Matthew at the top of your list. You will be far from disappointed.

Never returned calls or texts after coming out. Waited a week as was quoted, then another, tried leaving voicemails and texts. Very unprofessional and bad business ethics to not respond. If you can't or won't do the job, at least communicate! Just wasting our time.
It was late on 12/23 and I realized I had no hot water. I emailed a few businesses and Matthew emailed me back, even though it was around 11 pm (I figured no one would respond that night, but maybe in the morning). My water heater was over 10 years old, and I knew it was best to just replace it. Matthew asked for pics, and was able to give me an estimate over the phone. I had talked to another company, who wouldn't give me an estimate until they got to me and charged a service fee (no thanks). Matthew said he'd be here between 9-10 am the next morning, and he was at the door at 9. He not only replaced my water heater, but also the supply lines and a new drip pan (all for the same price). I highly recommend him. I really appreciate quality work, and someone who will get back to me in a timely and professional manner. See attached photos of my new water heater, etc.
Matthew helped me install a new garbage disposer, and new parts on my kitchen faucet.
On time, super nice and very professional, left my kitchen clean when he left.

You can't go wrong hiring Matthew, quoting another highly Yelp-rated plumber, and I couldn't agree more! A few years ago he changed out my shower/tub valves, and yesterday he replaced my rusty hot water heater. I just sat in my cool house while he did all the work, including bringing the new appliance and hauling away the old one. Now I have a properly installed, up-to-code water heater. Yay!
Matthew was The best plummer I've ever hired. He was kind, friendly, honest (fair price) did a professional job and timely. He installed a new shower valve and handle and used quality parts by Moen. He used a very large oval shaped plate to cover any missing or cut tile from replacing the valve kit. Other plumbers quoted a much higher price that include tile repair. Thus, he saved me a lot if money. It looked great and works perfectly. I highly recommend his service.
I contacted Matt via yelp and he got back to me in a few hours. So fast! I told him my father's old water heater had died a sad death. He came out the next week and found out not only was the water heater done, it's base was rotted from overflow of water over the years. He and his handyman came out, fixed the base and replace the water heater for a very reasonable price. Bonus points for them talking and hanging out with my Dad while they did the work. He really enjoyed it. We are having the team do more work around the old house. I know I can trust them to do good work and be kind to my father. I walked down into our garage this morning to hear the worst sound possible... water leaking. I checked our water heater to find it had been leaking - though I was unsure how long. My husband arranged to leave work early that day to take care of the problem. I found my way onto Yelp and Matthew was the first business to pop up!
I sent my husband his info and said I would call right at 8 when he opened for business. He said he could be out between 1-3 that same day. He was there shortly after 1 and gave my husband the run down.
We needed to replace our heater, but let us know we could save money on the box it was standing on. It had some water damage but it could be salvaged. This was awesome and let us know he wasn't trying to rip us off! He had the water heater removed and replaced in about 2 hours!
My husband is not one to comment on anyone's handy work, but he contacted me immediately after the job was done and was blown away by his professionalism, customer service, and said he was a cool guy.

Matthew was excellent! He was easy to get hold of, available, on time, worked fast and was well priced. Matthew was recommended by a friend and had great Yelp reviews so I called him for an estimate on an upstairs master bath pipe/drain leak. It was leaking into the living room ceiling causing water damage and the pipe was in a difficult spot. Matthew's estimate came in at less than 2 other plumber's estimates and the final bill came in at the lower price of the price range he had quoted. We were very happy with Matthew and his work and would use him for any future plumbing needs. Thanks again Matthew!
This was by far the most pleasant experience with a plumber. Matthew is very respectful and professional. We had a back up in our kitchen that went all the way to the plumbing beneath the house and he took care of it. I see why he has five stars. I called Matthew's plumbing on 12/06/2019 requesting an appointment for fix a big plumbing issue. 6 days went by, which I waited but he didn't have the courtesy to return my call. I did not expect a call back same day so I gave him a few days to respond to my call which He never did. Today is 12/13 and he still has not called back to even say he's busy or possibly is not qualified to handle big plumbing job. I called another local company they came out in a timely manner and I hired them to handle the job. I am a real estate broker and my clients often ask me if I know a good local plumber. I will not recommend Mathew's plumbing!
Matthew was a true professional. He quickly provided us a free estimate, was patient until we took additional bids, and then gladly came out the next day after we accepted his bid. His work was excellent, pricing more than fair (he actually came in under bid), and he completed the jobs in just a few hours. My water heater died and was bleeding all over my garage floor. I called Matthew and he said he could come by in 2 hours to swap it out. He was driving past my house so he stopped over immediately to attach my hose to the water heater to I could direct the drainage to my planter. Professional local guy: owner/operator. Wow!! On time, on budget, and on schedule! Can't say enough about his amazing work. I have two dogs and they wouldn't leave him alone! He patiently worked away!! Every question I asked, he answered with complete kindness. There is nothing left to say!
I called Matthew regarding issues with my kitchen faucet, washing machine drain and water connection. Matthew was prompt, courteous, and efficient. He fixed the faucet, replaced the connections to the washing machine, and cleared the drain all in about 2 1/2 hours. I was impressed with his professionalism and the quality of his work. Great service!! Our garbage disposal was leaking and Matthew came to inspect our issue within 3 hours of our call. He was so fast! He found the problem right away and fixed it within 30 minutes. We had to get a brand new disposal and he had everything ready to go. He also fixed piping on one of our other sinks because he noticed it wasn't draining correctly. Awesome plumber, very fair pricing and we will definitely use him again when we need to.

He did not return my phone calls. I've never met him or talked to him. There isn't more I can write so it should not count as a tip, except that people need exceptional service and when it comes to looking for a plumber if one does not answer the phone the first time they usually go on to the next one and never try again. Lost business. However I called multiple times since I was feeling desperate and he still did not answer or call back!
Matthew is awesome. He installed 2 faucets a garbage disposal and hook up my natural gas connection for my gas grill. He is totally professional, friendly and reasonable. I will use Matthews Plumbing for all my pluming needs.
I stumbled across Matthew when looking up a couple of other plumbers that a neighbor suggested. I had a pretty bad experience with a SCV plumber a while back so I was nervous finding a new plumber.

I found Matthew on yelp and am glad I chose him. He's a really nice, down to earth guy, and he's straight forward and fair. The last guy we went with was a total rip off and horrible with communication.
I called ahead of time and scheduled for him to come the following week. He called me 20 mins before he was scheduled and showed up within the first five mins of his 2 hours time frame.
We had a leaky faucet in our tub and he was able to swap out the parts, to make it stop dripping, pretty quickly. He also snaked the toilet that has been having issues off and on for several years.
I highly recommend hiring him! He has officially become our plumber.
I had a water line that wouldn't shut off after being disconnected from my refrigerator. I called and left a message on 12/12/17 and no one returned my call.

I called Matthew because of the Yelp reviews and, guess what, they are true! Matthew is an independent businessman, resourceful, respectful, adept at his profession, and pleasant.
He installed a reverse osmosis machine, installed a new shower head, repaired/replaced a commode flush mechanism that had failed, and unclogged my garbage disposal! My review was based on my experience and that alone, it is obvious by your other reviews that you do good work, however you did not hand me an autobiography of yourself so I dint know the structure of your company.
You told me you were going to look to see if you could rent a tool. No problem, You didn't say it would take you a week to do that and should have mentioned that, as most including myself cant wait a week to have plumbing done. I would have said thank you for trying, but I will look elsewhere as I need the job completed sooner. Lastly, I made the call to a local plumbing store and had the answer in 5 minutes. I am not mentioning this as a dig, just that believe a week is unreasonable for one to wait for an estimate, with no mention of that timeline at the time of the meeting.

I contacted several companies on yelp at the same time in regards to a water heater that was leaking in my house. Matthews plumbing responded really quickly! We spoke briefly on the phone and I was able to make a same day appointment. He arrived on time and inspected the water heater, we discussed our options and pricing. He was very professional and knowledgeable and suggested we add a drip pan with drain pipe. Installation was swift and efficient. Overall if I could give more than 5 stars I would. You are in good hands with this company.
We finally admitted to ourselves that replacing the H/C stems again in our leaky shower would not fix the problem. Matthew agreed & didn't waste all of our time redoing our work. He put in a single handle valve, which has solved the problem completely. Thanks so much Matthew!

Quick response and reasonable cost replacing our water heater and prior to that Mathew fixed our toilet. Really appreciated is advice and referrals for other services like gutter repair and landscape water drain issue.
Matthew came for an estimate on a leak we had on the drain pipe... he found where the pipe was broken and replaced it.... He worked hard, knows what his doing.... 5 stars for sure! :)
I called Matt to fix a broken shower valve and because several of our toilets were getting plugged frequently. When he arrived at exactly when he said he would, I told Matt that the toilets needed to be snaked. Matt looked at them and told me that he could snake them if I wanted, but they really didn't need it. He said the problem was probably how my kids were using them. Matt could have just charged me to snake 4 toilets, but he didn't.
Matt then gave me a very reasonable estimate to fix the shower and went to work on it. Replacing the inside of the valve was not easy, but he worked at it for almost an hour and was able to fix it without having to open up the wall and charge me to replace the entire valve.
Overall, I highly recommend Matt. He was very polite, knowledgable and tenacious with a stubborn valve. If I need a plumber again in the future, it will definitely be Matt.

Did a good job remounting our toilet..Not the best at answering texts...to be fair I should have called also...I had an issue with running water in the toilet after he repaired. I ended up replacing the flush valve and inner assembly myself, no big deal. My only tip would be if you are spending the time changing out or remounting the toilet, take a look at the inner valves, etc..and if they are 10 years old, offer to replace. Ours was trashed and I had no idea. Again, nothing bad for his service, just a tip to help boost customer service. His work was good and the pricing was fair.
Matthew's Plumbing is the only plumber I'll ever use. Matthew is the epitome of old-fashioned values and proper business ethics. He is polite, honest, hard-working, and he takes pride in his handiwork. I always feel that he has been truthful with me and has given me fair prices--especially for what you get in return. He delivers quality service every time I've used him and (like those before me have said) he cleans up after himself! I wouldn't even know I had a work done in the house if I hadn't been the one to call the plumber! (Well, that and the fact that my plumbing is fixed!)

When you call Matthew's Plumbing Matthew answers the phone. he is knowledgeable, fast, and reasonably priced. He is the only plumber I will call. I referred him to my dad for a busted pipe and he was there to fix it in no time. After being ripped off by the big guys, Matthew's is the only one I will call.

A couple months ago i had a problem with a 11 year old water heater. I called Matthew on my day off. He wasn't busy, and said he would be here in an hour. He arrived in 45 minutes. He was honest and said that my old one could be fixed, but that due to its age it will never be as efficient as the new ones. With no pressure i decided to upgrade to a new high efficiency model. He recommended a good heater brand, he picked it up, and installed it, all before lunch. We love the new heater, and we are finally taking hot showers again. I wish I could give him 6 stars.

Upon recommendation from some friends and family, we were so glad we called Matthew instead of the usual plumbing company. Matthew was pleasant and professional. It was already mid afternoon when we called him for a copper pipe spewing water, so we were afraid we couldn't wait long. He came right away, which was by then almost his dinner time. After fixing it, we asked him about a drain in the house, and he readily agreed to take a look, and quickly fixed that as well. We didn't feel gouged like we always had in the past. Matthew has done much bigger jobs for our friends and family, also to great satisfaction, so we've found a new plumber for all of our plumbing problems!

I recently had a water heater failure, with water coming from the garage out onto the sidewalk. Left a message for Matthew, who immediately called me back and came out the same day. From beginning to end, he did a wonderful job of explaining my options and various costs involved. I would highly recommend Matthew's Plumbing. Our experience was great. We had some plumbing repairs that needed to be taken care of at our home and Matt was able to figure out the issues right away. He was able to make the repairs on the same day and everything has worked great ever since. The reviews on here are so good you would think he paid for them, but we went for it anyway... And the reviews are so accurate! We did a lot of research looking for new hot water tanks and heard a lot of stories about pricing and permit requirements, etc. After calling the office that does permits, we realized most of those requirements for pressure regulators and pans the other plumbers talked about were untrue. Finally, we found Matthew's plumbing and it was the best experience. He was on time, fairly priced, inspection happened the same day and we have lots of hot water from a great quality tank. We have for sure found our plumber for life- it's great to have a go-to person you can trust for this type of work. Couldn't be happier.
We had a clogged pipe in the kitchen so I called Matthew. As soon as he got done with the job he was on, he called me back and came right over. He was quick and efficient in snaking the pipe that went out to the street. He was so kind and patient as my 89 year old dad told him stories of his service in the marines. I recently used Matthews Plumbing after having some plumbing issues in my home. I am renting an older home, so problems come up. I had an urgent plumbing need today and called Matthew's Plumbing based on all of the great reviews on Yelp. I called and spoke with Matthew over the phone (he actually answered the call) and advised him of my problem, a broken toilet in the guestroom bath that was causing water to leak from the shutoff valve onto the floor. Matthew told me that he could come out the next day as he was at a job and had another one to go to after he was finished. After hearing my frustration about having to try take time off from work again the next day, and my major concern over the water dripping quickly onto the floor, Matthew said he would fit me in before heading off to his next scheduled job. I have a feeling he may even given up his lunchtime to come over as I called him around noon. Matthew said he would be over in about twenty minutes and showed up as promised Not only did he get everything fixed in about an hour, he didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and what he charged for everything was extremely reasonable, especially since other places would most likely have added a surcharge for not having an appointment or for being an emergency situation. I don't make a habit of writing reviews on Yelp or anywhere else for that matter, but I felt that since Matthew's service was so professional, honest, timely and fair that I couldn't resist making sure that I shared my experience with as many people as possible. I recently moved to Valencia and called Matthew's Plumbing based on a referral from a contractor. I've hired Matthew for three jobs and he is a dream to work with. He's a one-man shop, but answers your calls quickly, shows up on time, quickly figures out the problem and I never feel pressured to spend more than necessary. He's always polite and cheerful. Almost everything that requires a plumber is stressful, but it helps that I completely trust Matthew to give me an honest assessment of the problem, a fair quote, and do quality work.
I found Matthew's plumbing on Yelp the reviews were correct. We woke up to the water heater leaking in the garage. Matthew came over soon after I called told me exactly what we needed and how much. Very professional and honest. We will definitely call Matthew again when we need any plumbing done.

I was referred to Matthew plumbing and could not be any happier. Such a genuine honest plumber which is so rare to find. After dealing with such a horrible Plummer he was a ray of sunshine. He tried to doing everything he could to help me. I will be referring him to everyone in the neighborhood! Thanks again for all of your help!
