Communication with Jennifer from the office was seamless. Santiago, Jeorge, Dino, and Johnny all were intelligent and professional in figuring out and fixing the problem and worked tirelessly until it was complete.

I very rarely write reviews, but this team deserves an excellent one.

I cannot stress how Ford's saved us enough. The night before my son's birthday our sink became so backed up and clogged that when we finally gave up at 1am we left a message for Ford's begging for help. They called back at 6:30am and understood our urgency, and got us on the schedule for before 11am. When Santiago and George arrived they were kind, professional, and knowledgable. They kept us informed on the cost at every turn, and when things went on a much bigger scale than we planned (a pipe below the house had come loose and needed to have about 20 feet replaced), they let us know the cost ahead of time, and the timing. With the additional scope of work we expected to be serving them cake and explaining their presence to the family, but somehow Santiago and George were able to get in, get it done (better than it was before!), and get out within 2 hours!

Their consistent quality workmanship is what keeps us coming back to Ford!

Thanks for making sure my toddler got the birthday party we planned!

BEWARE: They will rip your elderly family off!!!!

My mom called Ford's Plumbing and Heating to check out an old manifold heating system. Long story short, the techs who showed up said that they don't work on manifold heating systems and charged a $99 service call fee for coming out.

To make matters worse, my mom asked them for a quote on a toilet install while they were out there. They must have been licking their chops when they quoted $1660 for a 1-piece toilet and install. Unbelievable! My mom unfortunately paid the $99 service call fee, and I installed the toilet myself for $425 in about 30 minutes.

Good first experience but tried using them again for a faucet repair. I knew the faucet was not a standard model so we spent the time to send pictures in advance to make sure they could do it. When they came, they said that it would cost $195 to take the cartridge off to take pictures of it. It was pretty clear that they wouldn't be able to repair it but they still charged me $195 to remove the cartridge. Then they told me they couldn't find the cartridge so they wouldn't be able to repair it. Which is why I sent all the pictures in the first place..... felt super scammy.

They got a ton of water behind my in-wall faucet (which I can't access and now probably have to deal with mold remediation) when putting the cartridge back on. So essentially I paid $195 to be in a worse situation than I was before calling them.

Seriously gross situation in our apt with our tub and toilet overflowing with backed up poo water. This happened at 11:30pm and NO ONE was able to come out that night... except for these guys. Luis shows up in 30 minutes and quickly and efficiently took care of the situation. Great service.

My toilet was flooded the day prior to a colonoscopy. I called 3 different companies in the area, no one could come that day. Ford's took the call and they sent Luis, he was the plumber on call, he came on time, was quick and professional and saved the day! I am very grateful for the service and will continue to use them.

We needed to fix a seriously leaky water supply line to our toilet on a Saturday; Ford's was the only place with a plumber available. Luis was here in less than half an hour and immediately saw the problem (I'd tried to replace a shut-off valve without knowing how compression nuts work). Not only did he fix it in 5 minutes, he also taught me every step of the process--including how to use a Pasco puller to remove the old compression sleeve. Price was reasonable for a plumber on a weekend on short notice (not *cheap*, but plumbing never is), and it's a relief to have my water turned back on.

Luis turned what could've been a big mistake into a small one. I would definitely recommend Ford's in the future!

Very responsive, and technician arrived on time to inspect my faulty rain shower temperature valve. Unfortunately it is a Chinese product that they are unable to quickly diagnose, but we were able to find product information online and they will be back after doing their research. Luis was a great ambassador for their company and I look forward to having him back for the repair when we have more information on how to fix it.

We had an emergency in our place after the new tenant moved in above us. She used her washer and the drain line (unbeknownst to us) was corroded. It completely flooded our kitchen. Riley showed up in under 2 hours to assess the situation and had 2 guys scheduled to work the next morning.

Santi and Dino came back and did a great job. Over the 2 days of work, they always came on time, they took time to explain what they would do, and update me as they worked. They were also very thorough; making sure the job was done right. Upon removing the pipe they found more debris clogging it downstream and made sure it was all clear before calling the job done. Once done, they cleaned up any dust/debris created in the process, taped up the holes in the wall/ceiling, and made sure I was satisfied with the work. Santi even pointed out a place where our cabinet had been damaged during the repair and said Dino volunteered to repair it before they leave. That's real integrity!

All around, great customer service. They were responsive, professional, and knew what they were doing.

My experience was shady I had a leak from my water heater but the technician didn't do a proper inspection didn't even look behind the water heater or touch any pipes or even get on the ground to asset the leak but said I had a leak from my new copper pipes and the charge was 2k plus which caught me by surprise $99 to send some one out then 50% down payment before any work has been done good thing I was able to get my 50% back and found A reliable source who fixed my problem and also told me that the technician from ford didn't take the proper assessment and that they over charge me. Be careful out there it's a bunch of shady people and companies that are not in your best interest and will take advantage of who they can they usually pick and choose who to go after so be on your shit thy kinda almost got me

I've been a fan of Ford's Plumbing for over 20 years.

We had problems with the valves in the master shower. Luis was on site in no time. He diagnosed the problem, created options for the remedy we had our action plan.

The first time they did a job it was OK but a bit pricey.

Then for another problem, they changed their story three times as to what it needed. Even though it had been snaked (with no success... twice), they did it again (and with no success again). Last option was putting a camera thru the system, which is expensive, and then there would be a repair which could be several hundred dollars or even more.

I called two other plumbers, and they said to change the trap and snake it again.

Bingo. One of them did that and fixed the problem. And only $250 which was less than even getting the camera party done. Think twice before choosing this plumber.

PS I called three times and asked to speak with the owner. He did not call back once. Obviously, they are hiding something. Let the buyer beware.

Do not choose this plumber! The van says Free Estimate but yet they charge upfront $99 initial inspection fee. Got them to check out our different work and then they instead wanted only to major that was never mentioned to them. They did not want to even change out minor parts just so I can get my $99 service fee back.

As a recommendation from a good friend. We used Ford's plumbing and heating twice now. And we love them. Riley was dependable, quick in determining the problem and easy to work with. These last 2 days we had them do major work with our sewage pipes. We had 3 guys working on this, Johnny, Milton and Dino who were polite, friendly, dependable and quick to fix this problem. We have now found a reliable and dependable plumber and have referred them to our neighbors and friend. Excellent work.

Luis was very professional and explained to me carefully what was going on and he didn't push for any unnecessary repairs. We had a blockage in the main line in the middle of the night and Santi came out promptly to address it and get us out of trouble. He was super knowledgeable and was able to to get the problem taken care. We were presented a few options in what we can do in order to get the issue resolved. We decided to go with replacing the main line because we didn't want the problem to persist or return. He and his crew came promptly every day for the past 3 days and did very clean work. we couldn't be happier! safe to say we will be going with Fords anytime we have a plumbing issue at hand.

When you find out that your house's gas line is so old that to update it, it goes from a 3k job to a 10k (ahhhh), but you don't get mad because FP&H was able to update it within two days.

Culver City implemented a new law that before you sell your house, you have to make sure you have an up to date emergency shut-off. Ok, that makes sense. What we and FP&H didn't expect was to discover that half of the pipes were copper the other galvanized: a huge no-no. Since we were under a deadline to get this replaced/repaired to not derail the sale, we and FP&H were full-steam ahead.

My mother was walking by while the work was being done and she said there were five guys working like crazy digging the trench and making the repairs. They completed the work in two days. I know FP&H does quality work because they replaced my eternally leaky shower (which is why I called them for this gig). A gas line is nothing to joke about. Had I known about the copper pipes, I would have encouraged my family to have to work done years ago. If you live in Culver City, call Santiago, the project manager I met with, and have them come out. He's great and will treat you right. He's an old Culver, you couldn't be in better hands.

We have used Ford plumbing for years. Always happy with their work. Recently our very old water heater went out. We called and Santi came out. He was terrific! He assessed the situation and knew exactly what we needed. He determined he could replace the old one with the same manufacturer and size. He immediately made sure we were taken care of and the next day we had a new water heater.

The installation went perfectly. Dino and Johnny along with Santi were wonderful. I hardly knew they were there. They were respectable, friendly, professional and did a beautiful job. They even hauled away our old water heater. We now have hot water back and we will definately be calling Ford Plumbing again if we need their services.

We highly recommend this company from the front office to all of the people involved in the work.

Exceptional service by Luis today! I was all set to wait at least a couple days for service (Couldn't. Toilet ) but was slotted in for same day service. I was all set for the 4 hours service window but my guy was able to come earlier. I was all set for an unbelievable price but it was actually less than the last 2 companies I've used over the last several years. Luis was very nice, very efficient and communicative, and left the work area clean. A co-worker recommended Ford's. I owe them dinner! Ford's will be my go-to plumbing company.

I cannot say enough good things about the great service we received from Ford's Plumbing!

I've nicknamed Santiago and the guys that worked on our hot water heater and everything, The Ninja Plumbers!

When we first called Ford's, our water heater had gone out. I did some research and read the reviews of Ford's and it was nothing but stellar reviews I believe they have a five star rating and it totally shows.

From my first conversation with Sarah, to the first job replacing the water heater and finally the awesome sink work, the guys of Ford's led by Santiago were absolutely awesome. They were quiet, efficient, great to work with, friendly, knowledgeable and above all took GREAT pride in their work and were constantly looking out for us and our best interest, as I'm sure they do for ALL of their customers.

It is refreshing to find service of this caliber and high level. No matter how small or how big the job is, call Santiago and Ford's plumbing for great service and great pricing!

I honestly think my Mom was looking for things for them to fix ;-)

I can't recommend Ford's plumbing enough. I had an issue at the beginning of my project and Robert the owner came out personally to look at it. Dino, Santi, and Johnny were professional and took pride in their work and it showed. They were on time, quick, and clean. These guys are the real deal. You might find a cheaper plumber but you won't find a better one that will give you the peace of mind that the work was done right.

We've got a little bit of a plumbing emergency here where a closet nail apparently went through our fire sprinkler CPVC pipe, and when we took it out... water everywhere. Although Riley said that they don't fix this type of pipe, he gave us a clamp right from his truck and told us how to temporarily fix it so that we could at least have water for the night. Greatly appreciated, and will definitely call them again if we indeed have a plumbing issue they can fix!

I just called Ford plumbing and I very clearly explained the two things I needed done. I was told a plumber could come right out.

Upon arrival, I was not terribly happy with the attitude of the plumber. But that's cool, not trying to make a friend.

What did bother me though, is that the plumber said he would not do one of the two jobs because he did not feel comfortable. Again - totally cool and appreciate the honesty.

But then why was I not told this on the call before scheduling, that one of the jobs could not be done? I clearly said the two jobs I needed done. And I paid the base price of 99 based on the agreement these two jobs would be done and was ready to pay more if needed. I would have 100% gone with another plumber.

Also the work on the one job that was done looks nothing close to a good finished product for a master shower. Will have to now hire another plumber to fix this new work. So all in all, a complete waste of 99 dollars.

Can't recommend these guys enough. It's SO hard to find honest, reliable and efficient service. As a female homeowner I've dealt with many repair services that try to over sell and then under deliver. I had a toilet issue on the second floor that could have caused major water damage but this company not only solved the issue but didn't take advantage and try to sell me on things I didn't require. They were efficient, triple checked everything and very respectful of my home and my time. They even followed up the next day to make sure everything was ok. I will definitely call this company again if necessary.

A great plumbing company seems hard to find. We found Ford after being referred by a friend. We had a leaking kitchen faucet, called them, and they came out the same day. Santiago was showed up during the promised time and was professional & pleasant! We will be sure to use them again!

Hired Ford's to fix a sewer line, it was an old clay pipe that I knew needed to be replaced. Previous owners installed the sewer liner which didn't work, ficus roots were still getting in and had annual backup issues. I agreed to have Ford's dig into the line to repair it but it turned into a massive bill.

Cons:
1. They came back multiple times to bump up the cost by thousands of dollars. Went from $6K to $23K. Six days of on-site over a three week period, some communication between Fords and the City. Had to handle direct communication with the City during the last week.
2. Towards the end, the City came in to finish their part of the job and at that point Riley wanted to close out all the invoices even though they still needed to come back and fill in the dirt for their part of the job. Had to insist we hold the last invoice, should not need to ask for this.
3. The yard was a mess, they make disclaimers in their bid that they are not responsible because they will carelessly throw dirt on your grass lawn, killing the grass, when two feet over is gravel or cement. Guess every inch they need to move is extra money.
4. The workers spent half a day under my house trying to figure out the connection between my raised foundation to the sewer line, not realizing the flat foundation in between made that impossible.

Pros:
2 stars instead of 1 for the pros - the workers were always on time at 8 am, updated before and after they left, final work was approved by the City without issue. Office staff was pleasant and helpful.

I would steer clear of this company, will not be using them ever again.

Ford's Plumbing was excellent. From the initial conversation to the final inspection they were top notch. We had a pretty gnarly sump pump situation which they handled quickly and thoroughly. Santiago came out on a Saturday morning to assess our problem. First thing Monday he and Dino came and fixed everything. They replaced the broken sump pump with the same model we had which required them to call a number of distributors. The entire job was completed by Monday afternoon. When Dino left everything was wonderfully cleaned up. It's like they were never here except for the fact that our plumbing is working! We will definitely use Ford's in the future. I can't recommend them enough!

Roughly a month has passed since Ford's visit which I reviewed (attached herein). Yesterday, the bathroom sink (which they supposedly repaired last month) became clogged again. I took matters into my own hands this time and opened up the drain. I've attached a photo of completely corroded tailpiece fitting along with a corroded bottom of my drain.

This is supposedly the drain that Ford's Plumbing 'fixed' during their $1,300 highway robbery. As you can see in the photos, this level of corrosion did not happen in a month. From what I would guess, they didn't even look at the drain.

I was too generous with my previous review, giving them the benefit of the doubt. However, this level of negligence is one star worthy.

Call these guys at your own risk. Personally, I'm staying very far away.

This is the 2nd time I've used Ford's for a plumbing/water issue. Today, Santiago came from Ford's to figure out why our cold water wasn't working. He was knowledgeable, thorough and personable, and solved the issue quickly and efficiently. As my house is almost 90 years old, I expect to need more plumbing repairs in the future, and I'll be calling on Ford's when I do!

Me again! So over five years after my first Ford's experience, I figured it was time for another review. We bought an old house so have ended up with MANY plumbing issues, and have always turned to Ford's.

THE WORK: They do not cut corners. Every job is going to be done right. We have had a number of things done (sewer line, gas line, kitchen faucet, two toilets, etc.) and every single job has been executed flawlessly with no subsequent issues. Pricing is fair and transparent.

THE TEAM: Robert (the owner) knows his stuff and it shows in his whole team. Riley is our guy and always approaches problems as if he were working on his own house. Milton has worked on a number of our projects and always does a great job. The whole team is kind, respectful, and great workers. Shout out to George too! Quality, quality, quality!

This is the kind of business I like to support. Family owned, excellent work, employee longevity, and fair pricing. I would not hesitate making them your go-to plumbers.

I found Ford Plumbing online. Called yesterday re leaking gas heaters Riley showed up 45 minutes later and gave me a free estimate. He was a real take charge guy and arranged for two plumbers to be here this morning at 8:30AM. Santiago and Dino. They spent 7 hours putting in the heater and hauling out the leaky heaters. I only needed one apparently. They cleaned up best they could. If I'd known they'd be here for that many hours, I'd have made them lunch! They only asked for water.

I used Ford's Plumbing on 2 separate occasions; once for my sewer main line and most recently for my gas line from the street to my house. On both occasions they were prompt to help and showed up the same day. Reilly knows his stuff and provides immediate, practical solutions.
Milton and George worked on my gas line and did a great job! They provided daily updates and left the area clean every day. Call Ford's when you need any type of plumbing help.

A contractor made some improvements at our place but he never finished the plumbing that he started. Santiago and Luis came by and finished it in under an hour! They were fantastic! Ford's Plumbing came out to give an estimate for my tankless water heater that wasn't working properly. they were the third plumber to do so, but the only plumber to take the time to actually figure out what the problem was instead of rushing to give an estimate. Thanks to their due diligence, they ended up saving me two grand in estimates for things that wouldn't have actually fixed my problem.

We had a backup happen in our shower late Sunday night and called Ford's. Rielly was super nice and helpful on the phone and came out to our house extra early the next day.

Rielly was super thorough with the estimate and very patient with us and all our questions. He explained what was happening and the scope of the job (which was way more than snaking the shower).

Even though we are going with another company, he just wanted to make sure we were getting the work done correctly, gave us advice and even applied a coupon to our bill. Really great customer service and good to know that good people and companies still exist.

We were having drain flies in our upstairs bathroom. We called Ford's Plumbing to inspect the toilet area because we suspected that it wasn't sealed properly. They sent supposedly their best plumber Riley to the job site. He refused to even look at the toilet because he wasn't familiar with the brand. He didn't bring his tools inside or even a flashlight to take a look at the problem. He didn't even get near the toilet. However, he was quick to take the service fee for coming to the site for five minutes. We called another company who moved the toilet, found the leak and sealed it in less than an hour. We will not be using Ford's Plumbing in the future, and would not recommend their services, if that's the best they have to offer. Save your time and money.

The technician (Reilly) who they send over was amazing, my unit did not actually need service and Reilly did not try to sell me on a repair that was not needed. He was courteous, provided guidance and super friendly. I even tried to tip him for his troubles and he would not take the money. When I do need plumbing/heating help, Ford's will be the first place I call.

Two workers for Ford's Plumbing, Martin and Israel, work on our gas lines for several days. It was a tough job since the house is old and there was hardly any room for them to maneuver, let alone lay pipes. But they worked hard for several days and managed to fix the system. We think they did a great job and recommend them highly!

Santiago from Ford's plumbing was a life saver! I was not familiar with Ford's plumbing until last night and called them somewhat apprehensively since they advertised 24/7 service. We had a nasty back up at night and I didn't want to risk further damage leaving it until the morning. Santiago was punctual, knowledgeable, and and went above and beyond to resolve the issue. When I told him the company was lucky to have him, he was quick to give his boss all the credit saying that was the company's culture, and his boss wanted to make friends in the community and wanted their customers to be genuinely happy.

Bryan Ril ey ( or Reilly ) came to my house at my request to have an estimate for my gas stove to be hooked up. Ford's sent Bryan. He gave me an estimate of 1750.00. I hired him for the next day. 2 guys from Ford's showed up, and they asked me what I needed done - I told them I already discussed the job previously the day before with Bryan - that I needed my gas stove hooked up....they were completely clueless - but Bryan did stop by briefly and got them started. I got a call from Bryan later and he told me that I had multiple gas leaks under my house, and that he recommended I have a full repipe immediately. For 12,000.00 dollars. I was shocked and rather concerned, thinking my house would be red-tagged - multiple gas leaks !!! Full re-pipe!!!! I told Bryan I didn't have that kind of money, what could I do......should I evacuate my house, my animals,......?! and as soon as he heard I did not have that kind of money, his whole tone changed, and he said, oh, never mind, it's fine - every house has small leaks, we tested the house, pressure test, and it's within normal range. So..........I do NOT need a full re-pipe then........Then he tells me he found 2 leaks inside the wall where the guys were working on the gas valve - and told me he could fix everything for 7,300.00. ( I just wanted my stove hooked up so I could eat !! ). I told him I did not have that kind of money, what could I do, I have all this water leaking now......?! He goes, okay, tell you what, the guys can fix the leak from your washing machine and the total for the day would be 3,700.00
I agreed to that ( have to use my credit card ) .... when I came home, it was 2pm and the stove was NEVER HOOKED UP and the 2 workers had SPLIT. No one was there. The washing machine leak was fixed. But the gas stove was never hooked up. Never saw Bryan again - When I expressed concern over him not supervising the workers, not having a licensed plumber on the job site, etc the receptionist, Marly, acknowledged it by stating Because of covid, we can't find any contractors to hire, so we just have Bryan, and we took on too many jobs for him to go and be at each one. He can come inspect the work another day Christ, the whole place is just mercenary money grubbing grifters !!! Bryan later called me on his cell phone and screamed at me for complaining about him not being at the job site - it was a freak show conversation and I quietly hung up - I'm not sure he even knew - he was screaming and telling me you don't call in to complain, you talk to me directly ! Like, dude, I called Ford's Plumbing to express my concern, the same Ford's Plumbing I initially called to have my gas stove hooked up.
Freak. Had to hire another sane contractor to HOOK UP MY STOVE. Just stay away .

Work is still ongoing so I'll update this later. Initially there was misunderstandings. And we had a surprise add-on cost of thousands of dollars. So try to be explicit about what is and what is not included in the estimate. Ask if there will be a need for additional evaluation. Ask what is not included in your estimate.Also, get a readable statement. They use carbon copies and you get the third page which is not usable for most people's records. Some plumbing repairs are under a time constraint but if you have time or if it's a major job, you would be very well served to get two other estimates from different companies. Three stars for the actual work and taking off two stars due to eye-popping charge and, surprise, more charge/more work needed.

Ford's has handled our plumbing needs for some years now. I discovered them because I needed an authorized dealer to maintain our Noritz tankless water heater. They've done many jobs for us since then.

Today, Dino and Johnny replaced our traditional, tank style water heater. (The house is big enough that we have a tankless on the other side.) They followed Reilly's plan to the letter, installing new pipes and an overflow tank to bring the arrangement up to current code. That is the beauty of working with Ford's. It might cost a little more than a simple swap-out, but it's done right.

Dino and Johnny were clean, respectful, efficient, and masked. Couldn't ask for more.

We discovered a hot water line spraying from a small pinhole in a pipe under our house. Of course, we discovered it at 6:15pm on a Friday evening. Brian Riley from Ford's Plumbing was on the scene within 45 minutes, got the problem assessed, and capped the pipe so that we at least had water (and hot water) over the weekend. The following week, they came out to do the repair, and did the work with the utmost level of professionalism and timeliness.

It really feels great to have a go-to plumber like this that I can trust right in my neighborhood.

I've had too many experiences with other plumbing companies who may charge slightly less and then I have to try to chase them down to come back because the problem is not resolved. But Ford's Plumbing is the company that I call when I need to have a plumbing job DONE RIGHT THE FIRST TIME, because I know that Reilly will be meticulous in diagnosing the problem and either he or his well-trained crew will fix it correctly. I should add that I've also used Ford's Plumbing when I've had problems with gas lines connected to the house, and I needed to have the peace of mind that the workers were diligent, knew what they were doing, and I won't have to worry afterwards about shoddy workmanship and a potential gas leak.

We had two separate drain issues: 1) drain taking rainwater from the roof and brick patio (running under the patio) to the street, and 2) the waste water drains under the house running to the sewer line in the front of the house. Different crews replaced the lines in each case: Paul and Johnny for the patio, and Milton and Israel for the house lines. All of them arrived promptly, worked hard, got their jobs done on time (or even early), and were friendly and accommodating all the while. It's hard to imagine any better experience in getting these difficult and dirty jobs done.

Scotty was excellent. Prior to the pandemic, our pipes were clogged and figure out that our clean out was installed incorrectly. Scotty diagnosed the problem, and next day came to replace our clean out that would go to the street and back to the house with enable him to hydro-snake and keep everything running.
He was professional, gave good advice and definitely worked hard to give us top notch service. Cleanup was great.

I hired them to replace the original plumbing in my nearly one hundred year old house. They did not employ the materials that were specified in the contract. Riley kept saying their were gas leaks and then they charged three times their original estimate and caused enormous damage, not just to walls and tiles, but to my personal property. I told them I wanted to pack up my antiques and Riley said I need not bother as they would be exceptionally careful. But while I was out, they broke various valuable porcelain and glassware and swept up and hid the damage. Riley is a con man. I'm sure the original Mr. Ford, the founder of the company, is turning in his grave. Perhaps they are okay for small jobs, like to fix a clogged toilet, but they are totally incompetent to handle a major plumbing job. I also found out that their license was expired at the time of the work.

A month ago my wife passed away. We ended up hosting many relatives and guests. When they left, sadness ensued. But so did a nasty smell of sewage. Naturally we thought it might have been from Ballona Creek and the antiquated system in Culver City. The first plumber came out and could not see anything wrong. He robbed me of $150. A few days later the smell got worse so I called Ford's. Their technician Reilly climbed under the crawl space and detected the problem. The main line under the house, steel pipes from the 1940's had rusted and cracked and started leaking. He told me the bad news, and the three day job turned into a 7 day job. Naturally it cost me a fortune. But his crew was here everyday, working under the worst possible conditions to get us up and running. They were professional, honest, and diligent. I have nothing but the highest praise for Fords. Who will be my go to plumbers in the future. Also, you might want to avoid Dr. Plumber to the Rescue who robbed me of 150 bucks.

Legitimately good people, providing good quality service, at reasonable prices. Having recently hired a number of contractors from plumbers and electricians to tilers and painters, Ford's really surprised me.

Sarah is a great communicator over the phone - got everything scheduled, coordinated, and answered many questions. Reilly arrived on time, provided a heads up on more precise timing, and most importantly thought of more than one solution to my problem and let me choose the best option for me. Maybe I got lucky, but they were able to complete the work on the same day.

Plumbing issues suck, thankfully I found Ford's Plumbing & Heating on here! I had two issues, a leaky kitchen sink and a shower that would not stop running. I called Ford's on Friday morning around 10AM and Reilly was at my house before 2PM, and had my sink fixed in a flash. The shower they needed to order some parts which came in today, and once again Reilly from Ford's showed up and got everything fixed super quickly. He wore a mask the whole time (which is important in the time of Covid) and I couldn't be happier with the service. The price was great too! I was told I had to replace both fixtures which would cost $1,894.00 Our second opinion from Drains Unlimited said we didn't need to replace either, that he could repair both. We paid them them $405. Our job started out pretty small and ballooned into a massive and expensive series of jobs. Through it all, everyone at Ford's was amazing to deal with. The were on time, clean, considerate. I have to make special mention about Milton and Jorge. They were at our house for the better part of three weeks. They are so hard working and thoughtful. They never left in the afternoon without checking in with us to make sure that everything was ok. I hope I won't need any plumbing work for a long time, but if I do, I will definitely call Ford's.

After years of procrastination, I finally replaced our leaky kitchen sink faucet and separately a shower faucet and spout that weren't working correctly. Riley provided an estimate but also fixed one of the issues causing the leaky sink upon arrival. Martin and George came on a different scheduled day to replace the kitchen sink faucet and also the shower faucet and spout. They had to cut through an exterior wall to reach the shower faucet and spout. For the kitchen sink replacement, they were able to locate a part the same day that was needed once the old faucet was removed. They spent hours over the course of a day but then it was all completed and everything worked beautifully. Everything was left neat and clean. Office staff is both friendly and helpful with scheduling and related questions. They called to check in a few days later to check on the repairs as well. I've used Ford's Plumbing several times over the years and will continue to go to them for my plumbing needs. Highly recommend!

On a recent Saturday our faucets were sputtering and the pipes banging--somehow air had gotten into the line. Not exactly an emergency, but we decided to call Ford's since they had installed our water heater some years ago. We expected a service visit at weekend rates. Instead, we were put through to the plumber on call, who happened to be Robert, the business owner. By phone, Robert walked us through the most efficient way to progressively open all the taps to flush out the air, which had probably resulted from LADWP work in our area. He suggested we schedule a follow-up visit during the week to make sure everything was functioning properly. On Tuesday, Riley came out with an apprentice, checked things out, answered a few of our questions about unrelated issues, and left without charging us for the visit. I had expected at least a standard service charge. The whole experience inspired our confidence in Ford's, who will be our first call for any future plumbing needs.

Really great service from Ford's Plumbing team today! We had gas lines in our house repaired by them 2.5 years ago and while a big expense at the time, it was done well. This morning I noticed our gaslit stove would ignite but then slowly burn out. I wasn't sure if it was linked to the piping work but I called Ford's anyways. They scheduled same day check out service and waived the house call fee. On arrival it was determined that it was just our earthquake shut off valve that had been triggered and it was not related to the pipes at all. He taught us how to fix it for future issues and then was on his way! Very easy service, great warranty (had that been the issue...). Definitely will call them again.

Lets be honest...having the need for a plumber is never fun. That being said, Scotty (and the guys that came out with him over the various visits- Dimas, Dino, and Marlon(?)) made what was a stressful situation involving various issues as painless as possible.

What started as a call to Ford's due to smelling some sewage under our guest room (after working with another plumbing company that didn't get the problem solved), turned into a multi-part project over several weeks. Scotty was always friendly and on-time. He was upfront and honest with news he knew I didn't want to hear (there were a lot of problems discovered that needed fixing!). He took pictures of the things needing repair so I could see the issues for myself and his estimates were comprehensive and fairly priced. I would highly recommend using Ford's.

In each case we needed a line unclogged, and each time the plumber went to work quickly and handled the job neatly, calmly, and very professionally. This review is based on over a half decade of experiences with Ford's Plumbing. I'm genuinely impressed with this company and its people. Our house was built in the 30's. There has been a lot of work done to the house by the prior owners (some of which weren't great and had to be fixed). Ford's Plumbing worked hard to accurately diagnose the different issues, offered very competitive prices and let us know how we should prioritize the projects. Robert (the owner) has really cared about the quality of the team's service and has stood behind their work. I've had great experiences with everyone I've interacted with at the company so far - a shout out to Reilly and Ryan for helping us through a couple of plumbing emergencies! When a company goes above and beyond, they should be recognized. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

Ford's plumbing is the real deal. We had our gas shut off due to a gas leak over New Year's Eve, and Ford's saved us. They were out super promptly, gave us an estimate, fixed the leak and within 5 days our gas was back on. We were very pleased with the efficiency, quality of work and sincerity of this business. They aren't the cheapest guys in town, but they are the best! And, we all know, sometimes you get what you pay for. I'm convinced we went with the right guys to fix our gas problem, and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again in the future for any other plumbing needs we might have.

If you have ever done work on your home, you know, messing with the gas is serious business. You need to hire someone who knows what they are doing. Ford's did a stellar job and we highly recommend them.

We recently moved to Culver City and had a leak in our renovated bathroom (Ford's did not do that installation, that was the contractor). Unfortunately, the part, which was installed correctly, was garbage and out of warranty.
Rather than having those same guys charge me for a job I felt that was their fault, at least in part, I spoke to someone at Ford's who diagnosed the problem remotely. I made an appointment and Ryan and Dino came in and in seconds had the problem in hand. The prices are reasonable, they are terrific.

They ended up replacing all the pipes below the floor of my old house. They were quick, efficient and made sure to not dirty the place up while they did it. They're also always available and have even come back to do some small jobs free of charge because we've got a long standing relationship.

On a Sunday night we discovered a major plumbing issue that had backed up water into our downstairs bathroom, flooding the bathroom and making it impossible to use any water in the house. I asked for a quote on how much to just inspect and clean my wall furnace. The receptionist kept saying flat fee of $89 to send our guy out and he'll call you before doing any work.

Well, I got a call after he inspected and cleaned it. He said it was $125 or $129, can't remember.

Wish they would have just told me that on the phone so I could have continued comparing prices. Their prices are not competitive for what this job entails. Another guy quoted $115 and I'm sure I could have found cheaper if I looked a bit.

Guy was nice, still waiting for my inspection report. Will update my recregarding its quality.

Was very satisfied with Ford's Plumbing. We had a blockage in our main sewer line that Reily came and investigated with a camera and subsequently snaked clean for a very reasonable price. While the blockage had been cleared, Reily noticed a break in the pipe that would eventually lead to future problems. Because fixing the break entailed a much bigger job (and much higher price tag), we got a couple other bids as well. Despite the fact that Ford's was not the cheapest option, we decided to go with them because we felt Reily was being straight with us. He explained the problem, how they'd fix it, and what contributed to the cost. He did also make it clear that if the job ended up being simpler than expected, the cost would be adjusted accordingly. They quickly started on the job and was able to complete the work in one day. The problem was fixed completely and effectively and we are pleased with their work. We've already started recommending them to neighbors.

Reilly and has crew are nothing short of amazing. Reilly did a few jobs for us over the last few years, but recently we had to have our entire sewer line replaced (all the way to the city connector). Jorge and Milton were so efficient, so professional, and so nice...those guys can come over to my house any day. When the line was replaced, Jorge and Milton cleaned up the yard and it looks like nothing ever happened. Which is crazy considering the entire line was replaced. It wasn't cheap, but the quality of work was the absolute best. We will use Ford's for all of our pumping needs. We've used many plumbing companies over the years, but none of them come close to the quality of Ford's. Also, they are the only ones who have been completely honest...by showing us the exact problems they encountered. Other companies tried to up-sale us for other services, but refused to show us why. Ford's is clearly the best.

He was incredibly thorough, not only fixing the problem but taking the time to explain the situation and the reasons for his approach to the fix. I've used Ford's plumbing twice in the last year.

First my old tankless water heat said goodbye. I called Ford and Scotty showed up and got me a new one pronto. He walked me through the issues, exactly what they were going to do, wrote a clear detailed estimate and the new heater has beeb flawless ever since.

And late at night 2 weeks ago I discovered water gushing out of a pipe in the crawl space. Ford has a 24 hour emergency hotline and who other than Scotty showed up again. He stopped the leak in no time and 2 days later him and a crew showed up to permanently fix the issue.
Scotty also looked over the pipes, values and pressure regulator under and around the house, which are multiple decades old and recommended some fixes for at-risk items.
He definitely knows his stuff and I highly recommend him.

We have used Ford's Plumbing multiple times since moving into our current home 4+ years ago. Being that it's an older home, we've had a range of issues, from the serious (replacing all waste lines) to the mundane (replacing a leaky kitchen faucet, our most recent job). They have always been responsive and professional. They're not the cheapest solution out there, but we've always been happy with the quality of their work and are comfortable paying a small premium for peace of mind.

I was having a bit of an emergency in my apartment and my landlord was useless, I called Fords plumbing and they answered immediately. The woman I spoke with was very friendly and helpful. She then directed me to Riley who was extremely kind and helpful. He helped me get my situation fixed right away and even called back to check on me to make sure the problem was solved and everything was still working properly. What a stand up guy! I had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday and called Ford's and a ton of other places. Left messages all over and was freaking out as water continued to leak from my water heater. When I called Ford's it was different. They were busy but the attendant immediately transferred me to the technician to see of they could help. It was Rob the owner. He was slammed with his own emergencies and couldn't get a person to help but he took 10 minutes out to learn what my issue was and guided me how to fix it myself. It worked and then in addition to that he sent a technician here this morning to check it out free of charge because he couldn't come Saturday. This was a class act and incredibly kind. Everything worked out and from now on I will do ALL of my business with Ford. They've earned a customer for life. Plumbing issues can be a downer and a plumber you can rely on is rare. I can't thank Rob and his company enough. Class act. They saved me in a dark time. I will forever be grateful and cannot recommend them enough. 5 stars isn't enough.

If I could give Ford's 10 stars I would! Seriously, I had a nasty sewer pipe backup and these guys came to the rescue. I called on a Sunday (of course, the weekend when it happened) and Scotty came to the rescue shortly thereafter to assess the situation. Needed main line access, but there is no main line access! What to do? Stuff was getting backed up! Have to put in a main line cleanout and get things moving along as they should. Scotty and Brian showed up first thing Monday to get to work. They created an access point, crawled under the house many times (not easy), snaked and ran a camera. Found another issue (blockage) leading to city sewer further down. They dug deep, found pipe, created another access point (this is an older house), snaked and ran camera through to city sewer. Roots! Long story short, Scotty and Brian were able to break through and get things moving along! I was able to use toilets, sinks and showers again!
These guys are really great and so very personable as well. They found a solution to the problem and I am so grateful! They were able to keep my spirits up in a messy, inconvenient situation. They showed up when they said, communication and follow through was excellent and they thoroughly cleaned up. I very much appreciated they were able to accommodate my schedule as well! I found my plumbing company for life! Thank you to Ford's, Scotty and Brian for their thorough work! Highly, highly recommend!

We had major sewer issues, a job that lasted 12 days. The company sent two plumbers--George and Milton. They were excellent: polite, neat, and unbelievably hard working. This is the first time I've used Ford's. They're the best plumbers Ive had in 34 years as a homeowner in West LA. They do a good job of keeping the customer informed of what's going on.

I have used Fords in the past and they always did a good job but are often more expensive then other plumbers. I called them again last week since I am in the process of selling my home and they buyers requested a couple of things fixed. They did in fact show up early in the time window which was great except the minute I opened the door they told me they could not work on my place because I was part of an HOA. I informed them that all of the work I was requesting was for the inside of my townhouse so was not part of the HOA he told me it did not matter and that they can not do any work on an HOA building in LA. I have never heard of this and of course it would have been a big help if they told me that before they came over. I have since set up another plumbing company I have asked them about the HOA issue and he said he was not aware of the restriction. If you live in an HOA building Fords will not be able to do any work for you. I did give them a 3 star only because the past work they have done for me was good work.

Scotty came and provided a quote promptly in the appointment time window. I let him know I had taken the day off from work and asked if the work could be completed same day. He consulted with his team at the office and they made it all work out. I also asked Scotty a bunch of plumbing questions and he graciously answered all of them. These guys are fantastic. Our heater and water heater both quit within two weeks of each other, so they were out at our place several times around the holidays to get it fixed. Riley is most polite and fantastic at his job. Our landlord is really happy with their service, too. I can't recommend them more than enough. Hot water is working, heater is working, we are happy.

Thank you Ford's Plumbing for another reliable and customer-service oriented experience! A former condo building of ours used Ford's, so when we saw some flooding under the sink we called Ford's. When our service tech, Reilly, arrived this morning, I quickly showed him the pooling of water under our sink and he immediately saw that extendable faucet simply needed to be tightened.

Although I was thoroughly embarrassed, Reilly said that it was a common occurrence and that he wouldn't charge me since it was such a quick fix. What amazing customer service! Call Ford's for your LA plumbing needs!!!!

Ford's Plumbing is great. Have used them twice now for major work at my very old house in Culver City (drain line replacement and sewer line replacement). Very impressed with their expertise and - important to me - friendliness. They have an excellent website, which is how I found them in the first place, and both the phone staff and the service staff are great. I especially enjoyed Riley, the job supervisor, and Paul, who was the main plumber on the most recent job. Both are very nice and patient in addition to being excellent at what they do. The owner even came by to check on the work, and took the time to chat and answer questions. Something special: they call back after the work is done to be sure you're satisfied.

This is a mom and pop business owned and operated by Robert Ford for decades. The excellence instilled in every worker is inspired by the owner, Robert. I called because the hot water in my shower suddenly went cold, this after I had a tankless water heater installed just one year ago (by another company). Imagine my distress. A new water heater breaks down after one year? I called Ford's and was lucky enough to speak to the owner who seemed to genuinely care, who advised me to check the heater if it had power. The digital display was on so it did. Then he advised I turn on the kitchen faucet to hot. Surprisingly, the water turned hot. Then I was advised to try the shower again and the water turned hot! Robert told me that my computerized water heater is sensitive to water pressure and if the pressure is not high enough the heat won't turn on. I need to clean the shower head or buy a new shower head. How many businesses would help a customer solve a problem over the phone like that? I strongly endorse Ford's Plumbing and Heating.

Never ever I will call them again. We had an emergency issue late evening. We called them, the plumber came but wasn't able to fix anything. So, he came back next day and he still wasn't able to fix the problem. We had to pay $534 as we signed up for it, but I still don't understand for what we have paid. Unprofessional service. We called another one, and he fixed the problem in 30 mins.
NEVER call them. Don't waste your money.

I was having a dinner party on a Saturday night and in the middle of it my Airbnb guests called and were having a backed up toilet spewing stuff through the shower drain. What a mess. I called Ford's Plumbing and they came out within the hour! They snaked the drain and made some good suggestions for a more permanent fix since I've been having issues with this drain. Originally hired to fix a sagging sewer line. They started quickly and at an ok price. It cost more than expected because extra distance had to be dug to get a good angle. In the process, a good bit of old or broken work from previous installations was discovered, including a PVC main water line that wasn't up to code and a broken pressure regulator. They handled all the repairs perfectly, even with the unexpected discoveries. Unfortunately I was out of state for the majority of the process which threw a wrench into communication, but in the end that was all cleared up.

Called Ford's tonight after hours after both showers were backing up. They sent Scotty out. He was here within the hour, snaked out the drain, did a camera down the drain so we could see if there were any major issues which in turn help really clear the drain. Just had them replace our hot water heater and the instahot under the sink. Second time they've some work for us. Scotty always shows up on time and is very clear about everything the job entails. I have always hated having to deal with plumbers.
Until my first experience with Ford's. Literally.
First, it's a family-owned and operated business, and that goes a LONG way.
A year ago, things got backed up in our new (old) house in Culver City. I called Ford's because the previous owner had used them.
Ryan Ford came out IMMEDIATELY and took care of everything, showing me the issue on the snake camera, quoting me exactly what I ended up paying, and giving me a warranty on the work.
Recently, things backed up again (but for a different reason). Robert Ford (and Ryan) came out IMMEDIATELY and showed me the problem on the camera, took care of it, and honored the warranty. I have NEVER had plumbing service like this before...and I am a tough customer.
Highly recommend. Very satisfied.

Had a really bad back up in my kitchen sinks and water levels were only rising. We used them once in an emergency and they were really great to work with and they solved our problem, charged us reasonably and told us if optional preventative measures we could take. I needed them a second time a few months later and a different plumber came out and he was honest and straight-forward about my issue and I really appreciated that and I like this company and am happy to recommend them. Plumbing costs money. There are choices of various plumbers out there- but these guys are really together and nice and they get it done. I would call them again in a heartbeat.

Today I spoke with Sandy who schedules the Techs out to job sites. In a nut shell... She was rude and ill informed on any issues that I am having, basically horrible social skills. This, by no means indicates that any of the techs out in the field are like this but does resonate to anyone as the standard of behavior for their employees as she is the first contact for any individual that inquires about services to be done on a site for a potential customer. Now, we go into detail.... I have two Noritz for my home that I developed around 10 years ago. I helped design the plumbing along with all the other things that go along with developing a property and am very intimate about this particular plumbing aspect. I had the Gas company come out to investigate a possible leak. Either way, during the investigative work they found that my Noritz system was releasing 10% natural gas through the vent and as well putting out 3000ppm of CO. Not good, so now we segue into addressing the Noritz system. I called Noritz, explained what was found and the Noritz representative explained that I needed my air to fuel ratio dialed in and that I should have the combustion chamber taken apart and blown out with compressed air by a technician. They referred me to a few subs that are certified to work on their system. I call each one and get to Ford's. Sandy answers the phone politely and we begin the question and answer game. During this back and forth exchange at some point she becomes very rude to the point she says, OH GOD!! At that point I am at a loss for words. Once I realize she doesn't really care about my issue and really doesn't care about my business then I proceed to inform her on why I am asking so many questions about their services. For example, she mentions a descaling maintenance. I then ask her what that entails. At first she couldn't give me the breakdown and so naturally I ask more questions hoping to get something she might know than just to spout out a pre-generated intro into services. I even asked if I could talk to a technician because I speak their language. She finally pulls out what she referred to as a 'cheat sheet' about the specifics of services. Why didn't she just have that in the beginning? We could have forgone many of the previous questions and maybe she wouldn't have shown her natural behavior to me. Sorry Ford's, but you need to address this behavior. Why, because there was a good chance I was going to drop $$$ into your business. I suggest a class on business etiquette for her. Hell, I got a well informed person who was patient with all my questions and was polite the whole time at Monkey Wrench by the name of Kevin. Sorry we couldn't get past the door on this one to truly rate it on its services.

Needed our bathtub drain snaked tonight, as it clogged up right before the kids bath time. Dirty Kids + Frustrated Wife = Get it fixed, NOW!
So.. have to be honest...my first panicked call was to the apparently Smell Good Plumber Mike Diamond. Unclog any drain for $99? Sounds good to me.
Well...NOT.
Apparently they are too popular now (must be the creative advertising campaign) and couldn't schedule a plumber till tomorrow sometime.

Hey Mike Diamond, if you are that busy, use some of that green and hire more plumbers. People with plumbing problems are rarely patient, and for good reason most of the time. Up to your knees in a flood, or gotta take a dump and the toilet is broke...whatever...tomorrow is too late.

So, I remembered Ford plumbing from waaaay back in the day. Had a few good friends who had worked for them many many years ago, and figured I'd give it a shot.

Sure enough, a plumber named Reilly was at my place within about 90 minutes, and had the tub snaked and working within another 15 minutes.

Guess how much? Yup $99
I did not smell him (that would have been mighty awkward), but my dogs seemed to like him.
(I had the coupon form their website for $50 off in April, so it came to $99 with the coupon...just to be clear)
I even tried to tip him an extra $20 for being so quick and arriving fast...but he would not accept it. Bonus star for honesty.

Anyhow, good experience here, honest guy, worked quickly, good rating.

The water heater for our condo building -- 5 units -- went out on a Saturday morning, before a Monday holiday. Cold showers until... ? No fun.
Scotty came out about two hours after we called, analyzed the problem and ordered the parts. Best of all, he was there first thing Monday morning and bugged his supply people for a couple of hours to locate those parts. We were taking hot showers by late afternoon, when we first feared it could take until the middle or even end of the week, depending on parts availability.
Scotty made it happen ASAP -- you can't have 5 units without hot water, he said.

Fords has helped us out a few times with different issues. WE had a leak in our sink the day before we were leaving on a trip and they were able to come over last minute and fix the problem very easily. They have also done a few inspections for us (when we bought our home and another time when we thought we had a leak under the house) and they are always fair and honest. It is nice to know when we get in a jam that they are there to help and respond promptly.

I had a few annoying issues in my bathroom 1) toilet tank would continue to fill and stopper fall only upon further messing with flush hande, 2) the sink faucet was loose and wiggled on the sink counter 3) my shower pressure was weak and wasn't fully flowing.

Yelp is my go to for recommendations, especially for service providers. I found these guys, and upon checking reviews gave it a go. The plumber, Brill, showed up in the first half hour of the three hour time window. Worst is waiting around for hours. He came in assessed the problem and gave a quote. It seemed more than fair. The guy had it fixed within the hour and I was able to get on with my day.

When you need help, you want the process of fixing the problem to be easy and the work last for a fair price. Ford's Plumbing & Heating brought it. The toilet has ceased to annoy, the faucet not shaky, and my showers far more enjoyable.

I called Ford's based on their Yelp reviews and 10% first time customer discount to fix a major drain issue at my house. The guy that came out was nice enough. And when he quoted me a price, I simply asked, Does that include the 10% discount? His reply was, No, that will be deducted later. After the $11,000 job was completed, my card was charged $11,000. Repeated phone calls and emails and just a lot of run arounds and excuses and talk of their paperwork reflecting differently for almost a year, I'm fed up. I cannot and will not recommend Ford's to anyone at all. I would take them to court, but, frankly, I'm just too angry to even deal with it. Shysters.

These guys are the best. We have used then for several jobs. They are really honest. Their plumbers have given us sone tips here and there to spare us expense over the last couple of years. We have a house built in the 50s and a LOT of our plumbing needed to be replaced. Most of the pipes in the house started dripping this year, and apparently that was true for the pipes under the house. Everything they did they tried to support with as much evidence as possible so we didn't feel like they were being dishonest. We really have never felt like they were dishonest with us. All the plumbers are super nice too. We will continue using them and I highly recommend Ford's to all my friends.

I called Ford's Plumbing when Ron's A-1 Plumbing flat-out refused to correct a problem they left in my kitchen faucet (please see my review.) I had a leaky faucet that resulted in greatly reduced water pressure in the hot water. After two attempts to fix it, Ron's owner called me and insisted that the problem was in the faucet and that they could not take it apart to fix it and that they would not be coming back out.

This led me to find Ford's Plumbing. I called and received an appointment for a free estimate the next day. Riley arrived on time, and let me give a full explanation as to what was happening - instead of interrupting or talking over me, as many service providers do. I explained that Ron's insisted that lower pressure for hot water is typical in any faucet (which surprised him), that they had to jury-rig the water lines to correct the problem, and when that didn't work they refused to take apart the faucet in order to fix it. Riley asked me, Why did they refuse to take apart the faucet? I had no answer for him.

Riley took a look and within a few minutes told me that not only was there no difference in the lines for the hot water (???), but that the low pressure could be corrected with a simple change of the faucet cartridge. He gave me a very fair price for the fix - $185, could schedule the repair the next day - but explained exactly what I needed to do to fix the problem myself. Five minutes, a bowl of vinegar, and needle-nose pliers to pull out the small plastic piece that was stuck in the cartridge and my hot water pressure was back to normal.

Riley was courteous, knowledgeable, and professional throughout. Even though I didn't have Ford's perform the work, Riley's excellent customer service and fair estimate ensures that they're the plumbers I'll be calling in the future.

EDIT: this situation actually happened last fall; I just found this review stuck in my yelp unfinished folder. Still relevant though - I'm calling them today for another repair.

Wow! I've been through a lot of plumbers over the last 10 years, and Ford is the best. Honest, helpful, friendly, smart, prudent.. I can't say enough.
When I've had a problem, they fix it.
If it's something of a practical fix, they'll do it. These guys are good and I don't feel ripped off or cheated at all.

Pros: The experience taught me a lot about how to deal with contractors

Cons: Left a gas pipe wide open and leaking gas for five days (potentially deadly gas leak), Sent a different plumber every day (so he can use unlicensed plumbers), Sociopathic and manipulative conversations with the owner

We hired Ford's plumbing to work on the gas line to our water heater and have never had a worse customer experience. The company sent their most personable, qualified plumber to quote the job and get us to sign a contract, and then proceeded to send a different incompetent worker each day, using the California loophole which allows the use of unlicensed plumbers on jobs $500 or less. After intense contract disputes with the sociopathic manipulative owner, the job was finally completed. Five days later, after smelling gas in the house, we called the gas company who found that the gas line had been left wide open and leaking gas for 5 days straight. If we hadn't properly aired the house out, this mistake could have proved fatal.

If we had received proper customer service I would be writing a very different review, but when terrible work is paired with terrible customer service I feel the need to warn others.

UPDATE: Now the sump pump container is filing with sewage. The fun continues

Fords professional manner is awesome and friendly. It's hard to find honest businesses these days but I give Fords plumbing a 5 star. Their company is punctual and clean up after themselves. I can't say enough nice things about this company, no wonder their business is word of mouth business. Employees from office staff to repair persons have a solid 5 star

I came home to find one of their plumbers taking a break in my front yard. I had to call the company to ask him to leave because I did not want to have any kind of confrontation with this strange man who was in my yard. He was supposed to be working next door. It appears that they are doing a repair over again since they are digging up the same part of the yard that was dug up a couple of weeks ago, when there were plumbers next door for two days. I hope this one doesn't take long, because the workers are rude and surly even when they are standing in your driveway or sitting in your front yard.
Well!...Apparently someone from Ford Plumbing keeps close watch on their Yelp reviews because as I was eating my lunch'shortly after posting my review, an angry lunatic from Ford Plumbing came and rang my doorbell, hard, then banged on my door with his fist, then rang the doorbell again, like he is the police, to give an empty apology for his rude worker, but really to tell me that his company didn't do the previous work on the neighbors house, an issue he could have and should have addressed here, in a response to this review instead of coming to try to intimidate me at my house. He was very confrontational and actually banged on the wall of my house again to demonstrate how he did it the first time! He was livid. I had to tell him to get off my porch...I will discuss this scary incident with the neighbors that hired this company.

We've used Ford's plumbing a few times over the years for both big and small projects. They have always been professional, responsive, showed up on time and performed great work. These guys aren't the cheapest option in the area, HOWEVER I do believe you get what you pay for. I would recommend them for any type of project.

I have used Ford's Plumbing 3 times for jobs both large and small and have had nothing but a positive experience from start to finish.

1. Emergency water heater replacement : My water heater gave up the ghost on a Saturday night (Naturally. These things never happen M-F 9-5) and Ford's had a guy at my house within 2 hours on a Sunday morning when I woke up to discover the huge leak. Joe is a great guy and very efficient and they didn't charge me through the nose for the weekend service which was completed in a couple of hours (and only because they actually had to go get the new water heater).

2. Sewer Line repipe: Old house, clay pipes, tree roots. The Los Angeles trifecta. Once he figured out that this was no simple roto-rooter job, Reilly was really fantastic about laying out our options clearly and going through a cost/benefit analysis with no hard sell. Once we decided on our plan of attack, Ford's had guys out on the same day to dig up and replace about a 10 ft section of pipe and install lie-through piping on the rest out to the city line (approx. 30 ft of 4 and 20 ft of 6). Obviously something of this nature is going to be expensive, but Ford's did their absolute best to work with us on the unexpected cost and we ended up with something we could afford.

3. Simple spigot replacement: Just had Reilly out again today to replace a leaking faucet on the outside of the house (I need to call a plumber for this because apparently my house does not have a shut-off valve! Only one is at the street level.). It was a cheap 2-second repair. But he is such an incredibly nice and thorough guy that he noted the water pressure wasn't as good as it should be so he performed an inspection (even wriggling into the terrifying crawl-space under the house!) to check it out. Turns out we are all good under the house, but we will need to have the incoming water line replaced in the future (isn't that the way with an old house?). In addition, he alerted me to call the city to have the curb valve replaced (which I'm already now on DWPs schedule for).

So, as soon as I find the time and money, I will be calling Ford's again for that job too. It says something that I don't even want to call around and talk to other plumbers. I might save a couple of bucks here or there but the ease of working with these guys is worth it to me. They schedule very quickly, are always friendly and polite, show up on time, clean up any messes (up to my picky lady-standard, not some messy dude-standard) and take the time to do the job right.

I called Ford's yesterday because my wall heater was not working. They said someone would be here between 11-1pm. Minutes after 11am, Scotty showed up. Big smile on his face and ready to help. He could not have been more helpful, showing me step by step what he was doing. He was almost instantly able to recognize the problem and help figure out the solution. I never write reviews but I needed to let everyone know just how amazing he was. Ford's is now my go to for any future problems.

Had a tub spigot that wouldn't shut off. Called Ford's and a plumber came on an emergency basis, immediately diagnosed what turned out to be a very minor issue, and told me how to fix it myself. He left and ten minutes later, I had fixed it -- no charge. Very grateful and will certainly call Ford's when I have an actual plumbing issue.

TOTAL RIPOFF!!!! DO NOT WALK... RUN FROM THESE PLUMBERS. Although the owner himself may be licensed, his technicians who refer to themselves as journeymen are not. In California, any jobs under $500 do not require a license, so while the work may be legal, the rates here are outrageous!!!!!

We called for an estimate to have some work done and the rates were more than double than any other licensed plumbers. I spoke with a woman named Amanda who was supposed to return my call and she never did. It is obvious that they try to merely rack up numbers and get their clients to jump on their assembly line with no regards to integrity nor future business.

Most of all, they do NOT give phone quotes despite the fact that one of their technicians named Jeremy arrived with an entire binder of different types of work with flat rates. They will only quote you in person with hopes that you will cave in and use them. One of my neighbors had Ryan visit her home and he used scare tactics to get her to use their services regarding her pipes and water shut off valves. He tried to convince her that if they were not fixed right away, a tragedy could take place. It's been 2 weeks and so far nothing has happened.

CALL OTHER PLUMBERS FOR COMPETING QUOTES AND DO NOT USE THESE CROOKS!!!

Friendly advice: don't call these people. Worst customer service ever. Here's my story: having moved to the Westside, I saved the marketing post card from Ford's Plumbing (based in Culver City...seemed convenient) and used it this week when my toilet sealing ring and my whole house water filter system failed.

Booked an appointment for 2 days out, 9am. On the appointed day, Ford's plumber (a guy named Jeremy) was a no show at 9am or 10am or 11am. I finally called them. Was told the crew was on an emergency (which I assume means hey, we get paid the emergency call hourly rate, so...too bad for you!).

Was told the crew would be at my place by 1:30pm. So I waited and--again--no show. At 2:30pm I called Ford's AGAIN. Was told the crew would call me 30 minutes out but the receptionist had no idea when that appointment would actually happen. (Apparently having an appointment means nothing to these people OR they don't have enough crew to actually service customers OR they don't communicate well as a team.)

At this point--having lost a day of pay myself sitting around waiting for my Ford's plumber appointment, with a broken toilet and a broken filter system--I said no thanks. And was left wondering, why the heck would these guys send out a promotional card if they can't bother to actually make the service appointments they themselves committed to? Grrrrr...

I called them at 9 in the morning looking for someone to fix a wall heater. Mark was there at 10, and was really helpful in explaining all of the options for getting it fixed. He did a great job at a reasonable price, and I would definitely use them again but only for small projects. I think that the larger projects have them a bit overwhelmed. They replaced part of the hot-water pipes underneath my apartment building, but for some reason did not replace the return, and so I now have a problem with the water pressure. And now I have found out that I was WAY over-charged for the work that they did.
I need to ad an addendum to my last review: after having a talk with the owner, he did agree to come out and check on the work that they did, and make right any problems that i may have.

We had been battling a problem of roots invading our 60 year old clay pipes for a few years until it was time to take action and solve the problem once and for all. Reilly inspected the situation running a camera through our pipe. We abandoned faulty section of clay pipes and they ran a new line using ABS. Even tunneling under some massive roots. Everything was done on time and within the price quoted by Reilly. Start to finish they provided great service.

I highly recommend Ford's plumbing. I had low water pressure in my bathroom so Reilly came over to troubleshoot the issue. He was very professional and was able to find the problem very quickly. The issue turned out to be a bigger problem so I ended up not getting it fixed right then and there, however the price that was quoted was very reasonable. Reilly gave me honest feedback and even provided suggestions that I could do prior to making the investment. I definitely didn't feel like I was being bamboozled unlike other plumbing companies.

Reilly from Ford's arrived within 30 minutes of my urgent call about a broken copper water line to my refrigerator, causing water to flood my wood floor and leak into the crawl space below. And of course, this happened on a Friday night. Reilly quickly assessed the situation which was made more difficult due to the age of my house and the lack of a shut off valve for the water line. He checked for a connection to pipes in the crawl space, checked the water pressure, and then repaired the line. Reilly is without a doubt the fastest and most efficient plumber I have ever seen. Best of all, the cost was extremely reasonable and fair, especially so because this was an after hours call. And Reilly was personable, patient, and answered all my dumb questions. I highly recommend Reilly and Ford's!

Fairly late in the evening on Black Friday we discovered the pilot had gone out on our gas wall heater and after multiple attempts to light it, it wouldn't stay on, several places don't even work on wall heaters, one said they could come next Thursday, okay, sure, we can live without heat for a week with another storm coming. I kept calling until I found Ford's and they connected me to Scotty, who was absolutely wonderful! He listened to me explain the problem, asked the age of our heater, which I didn't know exactly since we only bought the house 3 years ago, he recommended something simple to do and to try again after that, he was on another job at the time, but said he'll call when he's done to see if it worked and if not he'd swing by on his way home. I did what he said and it worked! Yay! Thank you Scotty! We probably do need to replace soon and we'll definitely get an estimate from you when we're ready!

Because of my previous experience I called Ford's Plumbing when I had a non-working sprinkler timer.
Ryan came out and in a friendly and professional manner, not only assessed the situation, but quickly devised a course of action.
There was nothing he could do for the 15 year old timer and so he left without charging me anything.
This is how you run a business, create loyalty and ensure that if (when) I have plumbing problems in the future, I will call Ford's Plumbing.

Awesome in a word. I called for a heater check up and the installation of a safety switch. Ginger was able to schedule an inspection the next day at 8am for me. After the inspection, I was quoted the price, and they fixed it the next morning. Ryan, the technician was running a little late and the office called me twice to let me know that he was on his way. Great customer service, great repair.

My garbage disposal went out on me, I called around for a couple of quotes then I called Fords Plumbing again and they didn't try to sell me any other services like the other companies did when I called. Fords Plumbing came out fixed my problem and did an amazing job once again just like last time I used them. The week-end before Christmas and a gas leak caused my gas to be shut off. I needed a plumber as soon as possible on a Saturday so I contacted Ford's based on the Yelp reviews. I was able to reach a live voice right away and Scotty came to my house that morning. He patiently worked most of the day trying to figure out where the gas leak was coming from and was finally able to find it. I'm sure another plumber would have given up earlier. Scotty came back on a Sunday to fix the problem and we were able to get our gas restored for Christmas. Best Christmas gift ever!! We are so grateful to Scotty for helping us out like he did.

I tried everything to do it myself because I knew the high price of plumbing services. After several valiant attempts to fix the problem myself I ended up calling a highly radio advertised plumbing service. After they made several attempts to unclog my drain and looking at my pipes needs they gave me a price that was quite shocking. I was not confident in their price assessment of my plumbing problems or their full knowledge of piping specifics so I called Ford's Plumbing and Heating (FPH). IMMEDIATELY their plumber (Riley) knew how my pipes drained (and not) and where the clog was. They under my house took video footage of piping underneath my house and what needed to happen for proper repair. Now the other plumbing service found one section of bad pipes and gave me a repair/replace estimate for what they found. However FPH discovered a second area that was just as bad as the first area in another section of my home that was also contributing to the main area problem. FPH estimate repairs of both sections of my house plumbing needs and it was LESS than the single area section estimate by the other plumbing service. After FPH gave me their estimate I then showed them the other company's written estimate on paper. FPH never bad mouthed the other company or spoke a harsh word against them. FPH took the high road and simply offered what they do best, truly honorable stance and a company who's plumbers are full on integrity.

Now I knew my house needed a great deal of work and the repair amount was going to be costly for me and especially around Christmas time. So I called FPH and spoke to the owner of the company about my current financial situation. After speaking with him for about 10 minutes it no longer felt like I was talking to the business owner but a friend on the other line who understood. FPH made arrangements with me so I could afford to pay them portions over time and still buy my kids presents for Christmas.

I told my wife that this year she did not have to get me a gift, I got a great gift from FPH because they made Christmas come true for my kids. Thank you Ford's Plumbing and Heating (Riley, Carlos, Robert, and all the office staff). Thank you all and God Bless,

I had a pretty bad sewer stoppage problem this weekend. I called several plumbing services and ford was by far the most professional and courteous. The owner of ford came out on a Saturday morning. He investigated the problem and was really good about explaining what he was doing and why. I had a pretty complex problem and he figured it out. He unclogged my sewer and found the root cause of the problem. He also did a great job of being very careful and considerate inside and outside of the house. Not an easy task when dealing with a house that is backed up. Last but not least he did a great job of cleaning up. I am grateful for all the hard work professionalism and fair price. A+.

I have used Ford's Plumbing for years now. Found them highly rated on Angie's List. Everytime they come out they not only fix the issue, but teach me what the issue is and what I can do myself to make their time and my time and money spent most efficiently. Case in point: Today Reilly came out and was phenomenal. After worrying that my entire floor was going to be ripped out to fix a problem, he came over, took a quick look at everything, carefully explained that my toilet was loose because of the bolts and simply tightened everything. He came in under the estimated cost and explained when I should call again if needed and what to expect. He also looked at my clogged shower drain and gave me several options to DIY fix it myself if the problem arises again before I need to call them. I feel so good that I was not just shelling money out to get a problem fixed without even knowing what was wrong. Thank you Ford's for being the best plumbers I have worked with time and again. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a plumber.

I called Ford's to come out and give me a second opinion on having my sewer line worked on - again. Ford's technician came out and really worked hard to analyze the problem: I was told it was roots, it was really a split in the line farther down than the other guy had looked.

Ford's fixed up the problem and got the job done right this time, and really worked with our difficult schedule. They were very good with communication and I was always able to get them on the line with someone who knew about my job.

Seriously, these guys are the best, super professional from start to finish. I called on a Wednesday about connecting a portable washing machine to our bathroom or kitchen sink and they gave me an appointment for the following day. They even asked if I'd like a tech to call in advance so I know they're on the way, which they did about 20 minutes before he arrived. Reilly gave us numerous options for connecting our machine to the water lines in our apartment, citing what would be cheapest for us (even though that meant we wouldn't need his services!) Even though this was supposed to be an estimate, ultimately, he was able to connect our machine properly to one of the lines but still, didn't charge us for the work! Talk about amazing customer service, these guys know how to keep their customers loyal- we'll be using Ford's every time. Thanks again Reilly!

After ringing around for a plumber; contacted Fords plumbing office, the secretary informed me she will have a suitable plumber out, within a time frame and reassured me she will call me back to advise me when the plumber will be at my house and his name. Within an hour of her calling me back, Riley was at our door. He and his team were very helpful, professional and certainly knowledgeable. Something I personally feel is important for any professional in any field, these guys were punctual and did not have us waiting around for them to arrive. We had several gas leaks in our house, originally told by the Gas company technician we didn't have any, gas leaks, Riley found all four gas leaks. So thank you to Riley and his team. I would highly, recommend and use these plumbers again, if needed.

We live in an apartment complex and our bathroom sink was fully clogged and water would sometimes back up. We decided to call Ford's to have them take a look. Reilly showed up on time and when he took a look, he let us know that that this is actually HOA's responsibility since the problem is in the wall. He let us know our options of either calling HOA or he could fix it for $200. We went with calling HOA, but he proceeded to drain all the water for us and removing any debris in the pipe. If we ever have another plumbing issue that is outside of HOA's scope, we would definitely be calling Ford's again.

Absolutely amazing experience! Right before Christmas my pipe under my sink disconnects from the other pipe. I called FORD and I am so glad I did. Tankless water heater broke on a Sunday. Other plumbers weren't available or wanted to charge double time to come out. But not these guys, very top notch.

Reilly showed up 15 minutes early, was very thorough and got our hot water working again in 30 minutes.

We asked them to come out to price replacing our furnace. Two technicians came out on a Tuesday, looked everything over and told us they would get back to us with a quote by the end of the week. On Friday, we gave them a call and were promised someone would get back to us. The following Monday was drawing to a close, so we called again and were told we would get a call back in 20 minutes. It's three days later and no call. I don't understand why they came out at all if it's this hard for them to tell us how much money we can give them. We've moved on.

I called 5 different plumbing companies to get a rough estimate on how much things would cost to fix an old house I am thinking of buying. They all gave me the run around and would not give me an estimate on anything unless they came to inspect the house themselves.
Robert Ford is the only person who gave me the time and patience to talk me through each of my questions. He gave me estimates and explained things with patience.
If we end up buying the house we'll give him a call to do all the work.

Plumbers have the reputation of someone not to be trusted but since I've begun to use Ryan at Ford Plumbing I feel very differently. He was very professional, knew what he was doing and pricing was very fair. And he was able to give me great advise that resulted in saving me almost $500 on plumbing supply cost. I will definitely continue to use Ford for all my plumbing needs and plan to recommend them to others.

Thank you!! We're renting an apartment and at 12:30 am our toilet started backing up like crazy. My apartment manager called up Ford's to come for an immediate service. Two men came and professionally took care of the issue. They worked for over 2 hours in the middle of the night and didn't complain even once. Ford plumbers are great! We were working on a DIY sprinkler project that required shutting off the main valve at the water meter. The valve was stuck and the wrench we had could not budge it. Fortunately, right across the street were Ford plumbers who were working on re-piping a neighbor's house. They were on a short break at the time, so I asked them if they had a more substantial mater-main wrench that we might use. Without hesitation, they not only said we could borrow their wrench, which was heavy-duty indeed, but they brought it over and closed the valve for us. Later they provided some assistance and advice on how to solve a soldering problem we were having. Their very friendly and generous assistance was greatly appreciated and saved us a lot of grief. When I discussed this with the neighbor who hired them, he pointed out that they were the top-rated plumbers. I can understand why. When I need a plumber, you can bet I will be calling Ford's.

I called Ford's plumbing for help, I had a broken faucet and a leaking toilet that was old as dust. I was a little hesitant about calling a plumber, because my husband likes to attempt to do all repairs, but this one was one he did not want to tackle. My hot water heater went out and I found Ford's Plumbing & Heating on Yelp. I decided to call them because of all the good reviews. I'm glad I did. Reilly was here in less than 15 minutes and got it working again and on a Saturday! I highly recommend Ford's Plumbing & Heating.

In my view overpriced. Also, when I had a water heater installed a few years ago, after they finished, I asked them to strap it to the wall....you know, earthquakes...code??? While he did it, the attitude Ford gave me about like I was asking for something crazy was obnoxious.

This company came highly recommended to us and the following is a brief version of what we experienced: (1) on the side of the truck it is clearly posted Free Estimates-be aware, this means the plumber comes into your home and looks at the problem--if they remove even one screw, it will cost you $89.00! (2) After we paid the money, we were told that the pilot needed to be replaced in our gas fireplace and the cost was $245.00, but that they would deduct the $89.00. Sounded fair enough, so we proceeded with the repair. Replacing the pilot was not the issue, the fireplace still would not light, so Ford's returned and this time we were told that the problem was a gas valve and the cost was an additional $515.00. This price was way beyond what we had expected and we declined to continue with the repair. A trip to B & B Hardware proved to be very educational: the pilot we had paid $156.00 for could be purchased for $28.00-granted, I realize that businesses must double their product prices but by that much? The gas valve we were told would cost us, $515.00, was in fact, priced at $89.00. The saga continues. We called out another plumber and he looked at the work done and told us that the pilot was installed too far away from the boiler and gas was pooling up and could be a potential problem if we had tried to light the fireplace.
To sum it up, I called to complain and was told that the owner would call me back--that NEVER happened. I ended up calling one week later, told the owner of my complaints, and he did not offer any compensation, no explanation. I will NOT give this company a positive review and would caution anyone to be wary before using their services.

I called Ford's plumbing to get an estimate for a tankless water system. The day of the appointment I called to tell them I would 15 minutes late to meet them. They could not wait so I rescheduled. The next appointment I was waiting & waiting. Finally I called to see where they were and they told me it was usually a 2 hour window but they would be there within the hour. I waited 45 minutes. No one ever told me that there would be a wait either time I called. But wait, there is more. This was last week. I was expecting an estimate by no later than Friday, and I still haven't received it. Like the person before me I think I will move on and have someone else do the work.

RIPOFF! When they installed a new heater, they put in a thermostat that is impossible to program, without my consent, refuse to change it with put charging me more to buy another one, broke my door ($275! )and refused to pay for it. I called them for help recently with the heat and they never returned my call. STAY AWAY.

At the top of Thanksgiving week we developed a significant outflow problem and we were also just about to go out of town. Ford's Plumbing and Heating showed up on time on very short notice, and they took care of the issue with a professional approach. I called them through Yelp, otherwise I had no clue about the company. They explained options, video analysis, hydro shearing, and options to their level of need and importance. They did what they said, and notified us in advance of any other surprises they found in the tubes. They wanted to make it work, and the level of trust never wavered. We came home to a house that worked, and felt comfortable with the tab. Ford's is all right by me.

Run from these guys , they are truly crooks, my mother-in-law had some work done by them. She had her plumbing back up. They first of all gave her a really rediculious price( AT THE TIME MY MOTHER-IN-LAW THOUGHT THIS WAS A MAJOR JOB, BUT AFTER CHECKING IT OUT MYSELF, IT WAS A SIMPLE JOB), then when she said she was gonna call for a second quote they dropped it from $4500 to $2800. The work they did took 3 hours and costs probably $100-150 in material. So about 2 months later the plumbing backs up and starts to over flow in bathrooms and kitchen, and she calls them to complain of the problem and they tell her another $1400. At this time this has my attention, so i come to help with situation. Im an independant contractor myself so i know somewhat of cost of plumbing. First of all they are liers, and then they are theives. take advantage of older people who dont know any better. Sad thing is she knows the owner and his family well, and he still ripped her off. ANOTHER FUNNY THING IS HIS WIFE IS ON HERE GIVING HIM 5 STAR RATINGS TRYING TO COUNTER THE REAL REVEIWS! MICHELLE F. Anyways after i stepped in and saw the first rip off job and the second qoute and talked to the technician a bit( he couldnt even tell me what his scope of work was, he was gonna charge us $1400 to snake pipe), i called a second plumber out. The second plumber did the job for $200 and it turned out great.Ford plumbing are crooks, trying to scam people on simple procedure jobs, making them out to be more. WATCH OUT!!!!!

Really impressed with Ford's plumbing. Our bathtub completely clogged up and has had a very very slow drain for the past 6 months to a year. We use our bathtub nightly to give our young daughter a bath, so we had to get it fixed asap. Since it was a Sunday, I called a few plumbing companies recommended by Angie's List. I got voicemails every time and at this point (6 hours later), have yet to hear back from anyone. I realize it's a Sunday, but all of these places stated they were open on weekends, etc. I found Ford's Plumbing on Angie's List as well. When I called, a live person answered the phone, which immediately made me feel taken care of. She took down some information about my issue and routed the call to the technician on call, Riley. He was super friendly and said he could be at my house within an hour. 20 minutes later, he was at our door. He came in and fixed our drain, even though it wasn't an easy one. He quoted me a price BEFORE I told him about my 20% Angie's list coupon, which he honored. (A lot of companies want to know about your coupon before they quote you - probably to jack up prices --?) Anyway, I will definitely call Ford's for upcoming issues / needs. Professional and efficient!

Excellent. Had someone come out check out and replace my wall heater within a day. Mark was extremely knowledgeable, honest and efficient and was just a great guy all around. Kept to the time frame and quote to a tee and cleaned up afterwards. You couldn't have guessed they were even there. Can't ask for more. Would recommend to anyone. Will definitely use them for any future work needed.

We had a previous plumber that did not do a good job. Ford's plumbing came recommended through Angie's List. They came out, corrected the problem and we have used them on every plumbing job since. They have always been professional, on time and done an outstanding job at a fair price. We are in the process of finding a new home. They have done the inspections on each home we have considered. They have given us their opinions as well as their findings. their help has probably saved us thousands of dollars. I will not use another plumber in Los Angeles. Ford's Plumbing is the one for us. After closing on my first house, I discovered that the former owner had sabotaged it by destroying all the plumbing both to the main house and to the guest-house conversion. I gathered several proposals from plumbers around town to do the repairs. It was a big job (for me at least) as it involved redoing all the plumbing in both houses. The people at Ford's were the most knowledgeable, professional, prompt, and reassuring at a very stressful time. I decided to go with them and couldn't be happier. They did the work well for the budgeted amount and in the allotted time. There employees were trustworthy, kind, and hard working. I continue to use Ford's whenever any other plumbing issues arise and have no reservations recommending them, which I have done to numerous friends.

These guys are excellent. They came out to our house at 3am due to a sewage line break. Ryan was prompt, honest and most importantly very knowledgable. He and his crew came out to fix our problem which included breaking concrete. They are a great company that I would highly recommend to anyone in the area. I called Fords because of the good reviews on Yelp. We have been having some problems with our gas fireplace. The lady on the phone said they could fix it. I was given a two hour window with a thirty minute pre-arrival call. Since I only work about 15 minutes away from my home, I left work when I received the call. I got another phone call about 10 minutes later saying the gentleman was there. I told them I was about five minutes away, as I was anticipating the 30 minutes before his arrival that I've been quoted. When I got home, I was apologetic but the gentleman was upset that I made him wait that five minutes. I thought this was strange since I had been told a thirty minute warning call, and it was only fifteen minutes since I was told he was coming. It wasn't as if it was 35-40 min. The gentleman then came into my home, took out the logs in the fireplace, got soot all over my fireplace, and said they couldn't fix our problem and the lady on the phone should have told me this. Great. We had to use somebody else, and he gave me the name of someone to use (the referral is why I'm giving more than one star). He then left after a total of about five minutes, and he left the mess all over my fireplace, which I later had to clean up. Not so sure I'd use them again in the future, but perhaps their plumbing services are better.

These guys are great. They were out in just over an hour to unplug our sink on the Sunday after Thanksgiving (a small miracle) and since the work only ended up requiring that the sink be plunged, didn't charge us for the call. Fantastic.

They were the third plumbing service to respond to our problem, and even though it seems minor, it was wonderful that they answered the phone, scheduled a quick appointment, and arrived for their appointment as promised. This was on top of diagnosing and fixing the problem quickly. Thank you Ford's Plumbing for doing such a great job.

Just had my whole house repiped and a new sewer line put in. Reilly from Ford's Plumbing led the team. It was as painless as the sort of thing can be. The plumbers were professional, respectful, cleaned-up afterwards and were generally a pleasure to work with. Great crew. Great work. I used them before and will use them again if needed. I would recommend Ford's Plumbing to any and everyone. They may be a bit more expensive than the other guys, but the value they provide is more than worth it.

I recently needed to have a new gas range installed. The technician Joe, showed up on time, and couldn't be more friendly and professional. He quickly removed the old range, disconnected the gas, and had it ready for the new range. Once the new range was delivered later in the day, Joe returned, connected the new range, and ensured that everything was working properly before he left. It was a pleasure working with Ford's plumbing.

I have had Fords Plumbing work in multiple condos I own in the Marina Del Rey area. There are several reasons I will continue to use their services in the future: 1) the office staff is excellent- whether you talk to Sandy or Carrie - both are very helpful in appointments, calling after services to make sure things went well, and keeping me informed on information regarding work being done. 2) whether you have Joe, Ryan, or Robert work on your project it is always done right the first time - they are prompt, clean, and understand plumbing! These guys are pros. And here is also an important part - the pricing is fair. Good plumbers are really hard to come by and bad plumbers that are over priced- well I have been there/done that. This is not the case with Fords. My work always has an estimate first and then clear written information / quote on the services. I find the prices very reasonable - especially since it is done right the first time. I highly recommend them - and soon we will be doing a bathroom remodel!
