Enviro Plumbing

I called Enviro Plumbing at 11:30 AM, desperately hoping for a same-day service call on our hot water heater. The pilot light had gone out and refused to relight. The parts had been sent under warranty and we'd been without hot water for three days. Andrea answered and very sweetly said someone could come out the next day. I thanked her and hung up, ready to call other numbers. Within seconds, Andrea called me back and said she could have Daniel there by 1 PM. Wow! Now, as it turned out, Daniel did not show up until almost 6 PM, but both Andrea and Daniel texted me all afternoon with updates, with the promise that he would definitely be there. When he and Pepe arrived, they set up lights and started assembling the parts. Each time there was a snag or problem, Daniel came to me, explaining exactly what needed to be done. By 7:30 we had hot water!
Now, a lot of servicemen would have either called and said it was too late or simply not shown up at all. Daniel apologized for being late and promised to complete the job before leaving, which he did. The cost was literally HALF of what two other companies had quoted me. Andrea and Daniel texted me throughout the afternoon, keeping me updated of his status. When I was ready to pay Daniel, he told me that the invoice was already in my email, just to pay it on-line!
Here is a company that has jumped into the future, successfully using text, email and on-line invoicing to maximize their customer service. So. Technology, friendly customer service both by phone and in person, keeping the client in-the-loop with any issues before and during the service call, working well past normal working hours with no added fees, more that competitive price ... you tell ME what more you could ask for! Enviro will have my business for life, and they'll have my recommendation to anyone who asks. I'm a believer.

You shouldn't have to pay for an estimate to simply install a new toilet. I was able to get a quote else where and not be tricked into using their services.
IMO you should have some idea of how much to install a toilet. Anyways
I had 3 Toto toilets installed by a company that gave me a reasonable quote over the phone.

Thank you Enviro Plumbing for such quick and thorough service!  We had a gas leak near our fireplace.  We called Daniel at Enviro Plumbing immediately following SoCal Gas identifying the issue and shutting off our gas, and Enviro responded promptly within a few hours.  They worked diligently to find the leaky pipe, then drove to the one store that had the required part for repairs, and stayed beyond typical work hours to make the repairs so that we wouldn't be without gas that upcoming evening.  All the workers were polite, explained everything during the entire process, and were completely upfront about the pricing. These guys really rocked it (huge shout out to Manny), so that we could get our gas turned back on and we so appreciate it!!!! This isn't the first time we've contacted Daniel at Enviro Plumbing, he and his team are always polite and always work hard to get the job done! :)

We have used ENVIRO to do a significant amount of work on the house we purchased on third Street in Santa Monica that happened to have a massive amount of deferred maintenance. We had all of our toilets replaced, a new water heater system upgrade installed, a top of the line water filtering system, Garden irrigation system work and a few  minor issues dealt with, and we are happy to be repeat customers.

I have not reviewed them before, but decided to leave a review this time because of their especially prompt service in dealing with a leak and a broken kitchen disposal unit. The technician performing the work was Manny.

I have to say I was very surprised to see any negative reviews, because our experience has been nothing but professional.
Although they got his last name wrong,  Manny was mentioned in a negative review.  Though I would not deny anybody else's experience, I found that really aberrational compared to anything we have seen over the last three years.  Manny, Pepe and Juan, all of whom have worked at our house  and are all first class, and that definitely includes Manny who left our house about 20 minutes ago. Daniel, the owner,a former New Zealander, has operated in town for many many years and it's a very well established local business. We went with them after two bad experiences, one of which was a franchise of a national firm for for drain cleaning.

When we were quoted $20,000 by another plumbing company (The aforementioned franchise of a national outfit) to address tree route intrusion into the main sewer line, Daniel, the owner of the company, came up with a very inexpensive fix that has completely done the job for the last three years and counting. Enviro is not the cheapest alternative but I have found their work to be good value and their prices very fair for the level of service provided. As noted, they saved us $20,000 that we were on the verge of thinking that we had to spend.

They are reachable 24 hours a day and they  communicate really well by text messages. Probably more importantly, when they are working on our house, they take pains to explain problems and possible solutions and give us different alternatives. My experience has been that they stand behind their work. Once when we thought we had a problem (we panicked but it turned out to be a total nonevent) Daniel himself reached out to us despite it being Christmas weekend.

I've had several older houses in the past and I've had to work with plumbers a lot more than I really wanted. Enviro stands out and I would give them more than five stars if I could.

**BE CAUTIOUS OF INFLATED COSTS**
I called Enviro plumbing to clear a clogged bathroom sink in December 2021 and while the plumbers were polite and courteous, they sent two for a one person job.  Additionally, I was not advised of the TOTAL cost until the very end of the job which amounted to nearly $900.  Of this, the cost breakdown was $300 for a PVC part that they had to go to a store to get (which took roughly 1 hour) and then $600 for a difficult installation.  
Please consider other plumbers if you live in the Santa Monica area.

Dec 1, 2020 : had our Navien on-demand water heater replaced under warranty by Enviro Plumbing - Jesus Diaz was the plumber.

We were charged on our AmEx a procedure i distinctly declined due to we already had an indoor controller unit in our bathroom for the last 8 year. swapped the controller & plugged it in (like an iPhone). i offered to do it, but Jesus said it was part of the installation. the controller is just a small clock that can turn the heater on at various time. about the size of a deck of cards. you don't need it, but it's an option. they're cheap enough you can find them on Amazon or Walmart.

service not performed : INSTALL NAVIEN CONTROLLER IN AN OUTDOOR BOX = $467.96

3 weeks of emails back & forth with Daniel Thomas Beattie, owner of Enviro Plumbing. i even send him security video of me declining the controller to his plumber. what more proof do you need?  

Daniel tried to offer a meager refunds for just the box not installed (maybe $60 refund) or reclassified the installation as an indoor one ($90 refund) .
we were charged $467.69 for a service that was not performed. why would we want just a few dollars back? it's like stealing our car but offering to give us back the spare tire!  we demanded a full refund.

on Christmas eve we got a pre-lien notice in the mail. it stated that even though we paid Enviro Plumbing in full, it was to cover in the event of future or in progress services in case we didn't pay. what future services? we would never hire them again.

so i called the lien company & spoke to the agent on our notice - Katie Clark. she said it was unusual since we had already paid but there was probably some upcoming services. Nope. just a refund due back to us. so she suggested we get Daniel to write an email or letter that stated Unconditional Final. it's not necessary, but an amicable gesture that everything is complete. she also said if he refunds our money that would complete it too because why would anyone refund money if they were to later claim they were owed anything? good point.

i emailed Daniel & asked for a person who could sign for receipt of the controller - FedEx Signature Required.  he said he would rather pick up the controller in person after new years. we got a service order email.  i emailed Daniel back to reiterate it was just to pick up the controller and i would not pay for any more services.

Daniel emailed back that he would charge me $378.24 for the service visit.  
What!! it is illegal for a company to self-initiate a service call order without the homeowner's permission. the controller is in a box ready to ship via FedEx. we don't need a service call. cancel the visit & i don't want any of your employees to come to my house.

at 1:47 am i get another service call email. i immediately cancel it. then i emailed Daniel, the office manager Andrea Esquivel & my wife  - kind of suspicious of you to reschedule a service order at 1:47am. i canceled it twice before the 8am (24 hour cancellation policy) so he couldn't charge me a late cancellation fee. i reiterate to him again - Do Not Come By the House, i am shipping it to you!

i took the package to the FedEx store. the FedEx person said the address for his business isn't an actual storefront, but a UPS Store #2230 PO Box number.  i Google mapped it & sure enough it comes up as a UPS Store next to a Subway sandwich shop. FedEx said i can't ship it there as Signature Required .  so i ship it USP store to UPS store.

when i mention to Daniel the FedEx shipping problem with his UPS P.O. Box. we got our full refund 2 days later.

i guess he didn't want it known he doesn't actually have a physical storefront in Santa Monica. if i would have known that in advance, i would have been wary of hiring a company that is working out of a PO Box.

i wrote a final email to Daniel confirming we got our refund & asked for him to email back with the Unconditional Final subject line that Katie suggested. it wasn't necessary, but just a kind gesture that this was all done. he wouldn't even do that. i wasn't going to write a review of our experience, but given how he couldn't even respond i decide maybe i'll share what a nightmare it was to deal with him.

This was my second time using Enviro Plumbing and they were just as wonderful this time around.  Professional, competitive pricing, on-time and did an excellent job.

Enviro plumbing is an honest, well-run company that stands behind its work. We worked with them on two plumbing issues at our home. A few days later, we discovered a small problem with the work. They promptly came out, investigated, and fixed it -- at no additional charge. We would specifically like to recognize our plumber, Jesus, for his excellent service. We will use definitely use them again.

We moved into a condo that is 50 years old.
I have leaky sink fixtures in Master Bathroom
and Shower. We are in a pandemic. Water
bills are sky high so I have these guys give it a shot since a neighbor in my complex gave them a thumb's up. First off, they are very pleasant. They show up. But they broke a stem on one of the double sinks. It took several times for them to get the part - now it sticks up - but at least it's not leaking. They asked me to give them a review. Hmmmm. They didn't really perform any work. They charged $125. for an estimate. They offered to fix my shower : but gave me a figure of $760. to turn off the water for the day. I declined that part of estimate and ask for a NEW estimate- because that is what management is for. (I pay enough here)! So, I just got off the phone with them and they offered to come back and properly fix the faucet knob which they broke the first time they were here. I said no thanks: because they have been here 3 times already and we are planning on replacing - and I am trying to avoid anyone outside my household. THEN, they declined repairing the shower, at all. Too complicated.  I must say that the company that I called out one year ago did not charge me for an estimate - did not break something - and did not send me emails asking me to give them a review. This was disappointing and annoying and I cannot recommend them as they took too long to fix something that wasn't even broken and their extra fees seem excessive.

Although I was appreciative that Daniel and his crew were able to help me in an emergency nothing else about my experience was good. Even though they were more costly than other bids I went with them based upon a recommendation and their commitment to clean plumbing. They did the work quickly however they failed to communicate clearly many parts of the work they were doing. Cheap faucets that were ugly were installed, never shown to me prior to installing and my original handles/hardware were removed from my home without asking me. In addition the shower was left non functioning. When I called to tell them of this I was given a long condescending lecture on how I was wrong and that is how the shower was before etc. When I insisted they reinspect it they found that something had gotten stuck in the pipes causing the problem with water flow. No apology given simply a mild acknowledgement that his employees should have checked it further. 1.5 yrs have passed since the work and already there is a problem with the shower pipes and valves they replaced. I called to ask them to come out to see what might be the problem and was told there is only a 1 yr warranty and that they would have to charge me to come out to look at it. I understand that they would need to charge me if the problem was not related to the initial issue, however to charge me to follow up on their relatively recent work seems wrong. I am sure the issue is related, I cannot believe that work should only last 1.5 yrs before trouble. I will certainly go woth another plumber at this point and do whatever I can to let everyone know to avoid using Enviro Plumbing for any work.

Daniel and his team are the best in town. If you need a good, reliable, responsive, honest plumber look no further!

We had a challenging, specialized job that the largest plumbing firm in Los Angeles declined due to its difficulty.  Daniel and crew correctly analyzed it, went above and beyond in fixing it quickly, and conducted themselves with the utmost professionalism. So, no more calling the largest outfit in town; for us, Enviro will be our choice going forward.

I own a condo in West L.A. and my tenants called in the a.m. to say that their kitchen sink (both sides) was clogged.  I emailed the other owners in the building and asked for any plumber referrals they might have.  Most of the responses I got were not positive, except for one owner who recommended Enviro Plumbing.  I called them and they said they could be at the condo within an hour or two max.  They explained that I needed to pay a $124 fee up front, non-refundable but that if the repair was done they would apply the $124 to the work.  I believe this is common practice since time and travel are expensive.  The work was done, a recommendation for a new disposal was made (it's 15 years old so no surprise) but no pressure was made and it's something we can do later.  My tenant reported that the work was done quickly and efficiently and that everything was now working fine.  I'm happy with the service and would recommend them with no reservations based upon my experience.

Working with Enviro plumbing has been pure magic!  Daniel the owner is a New Zealander with a great sense of humour.  He is thorough and detail oriented.  Due to his keen eye, he managed to prevent me from making a huge mistake with the electrical that needed to happen prior to his installation of a Toto washlet toilet. If we hadn't listened to him, the lights would have dimmed every time I used the toilet!  Today, Manny and José did a flawless installation.  They were friendly, meticulous and super tidy wearing booties in the house and explained to me what they were doing as the job progressed.  They made sure to clean up after they were done and literally got down on their knees and washed every inch of the bathroom floor!  The whole experience was flawless.  This was a night and day experience compared to other plumbers I've worked with.  Thank you so much!  Susan

Our son flushed a toothbrush down his toilet and didn't tell us until a few flushes later when the contents refused to go down... enter Pepe at Enviro Plumbing, who saved the day and did it with utter professionalism and courtesy. Enviro Plumbing has always been quick to respond and a pleasure to work with. The job always gets done well.

I called every plumber in town and no one was there . Then I reached out to Enviro Plumbing and these guys were quick , efficient , and replaced my flusher immediately today. 100% trust in them.

The experienced people seem to be gone. Both work quality and price were bad the second time I used them...and the owner never responded to my comments.

I had a clogged drain in the kitchen sink so I called Enviro.  Their answering service was able to schedule me for a time and date that was convenient for me.  They showed up promptly (even a little early!), solved the problem, and even answered a few other questions I had. And before he left, he wiped down my kitchen floor - just to make sure he didn't leave a mess.  I've used them before and always been pleased with the service and the pricing is very fair. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone.

Very mixed experience with this company that turned out to a be a real comedy of errors. At first they seemed friendly and accommodating. But later not so much.

We had a fault with a faucet that had caused a lot of rust in a pedestal sink. Kohler sent some parts to install, along with a new pedestal sink. Enviro installed both but didn't tell us some of the less visible faucet parts were extremely rusty. Fast forward until rusty water drips all over our tile floor staining it because the new sink now also has bad rust damage. Enviro plumbing recommends we replace the complete faucet, which should have been recommended right at the beginning of the job...

We do this, but still appear to have water dripping down back of sink. Daniel the owner came out to inspect and concluded that water pooling around the faucet and leaching into the faucet parts below was probably the culprit in the first place. He reinstalled the faucet with new plumbers putty, but in the course of this repair....he overtightened and cracked the new sink! Oh no!!

It took a day or two for water to sink in to the crack so he, and we, didn't notice the damage immediately. Kohler saw the crack and immediately concluded it was cause by over tightening the faucet, as had we. When the crack was pointed out to Daniel he first blamed the sink claiming it was refinished (not true), then blamed another plumber who had been working on toilet, when no one had worked on the sink but him!

Daniel still would not accept responsibility for this damage, sent some pretty aggressive emails and has now capped off this bad experience by ignoring our messages. We are out several hundred bucks with a newly cracked sink and an unresponsive owner. Huge bummer of an experience in the end.

I've use Enviro Plumbing many times.  They are always so professional and knowledgeable.  They explain what is going on and give options.  No pressure either. I highly recommend using them.

I was very disappointed with Enviro. I 1st had a handyman run a 100 foot snake on a second floor backed up shower. He was not able to clear it, so I called Enviro and told them it was most likely a main line problem and needed at least a 100 foot snake. They sent a guy with a 50 foot snake. He couldn't fix it, so he called a 2nd guy who also couldn't fix it. They left dirty footprints and finger prints all over floors and walls and caused even more alarming water level backup in the shower. I hired another plumber the following day. He cleared it in 10 minutes, but before he started he pointed out the footprints and finger prints and said I just want you to know I didn't do this. I called Enviro twice to request a return on the deposit I paid and have had no return call after a week.

I am finally writing this review after using Daniel's team and services for a couple of years now. Daniel and Angel are actually working on our house as I type.

I cannot stress enough how great Daniel is. He is highly responsive to all calls, often answering almost every time you call, and takes his time to hear what your needs are. Many times Daniel arrives with his team to talk with you further about the issues before handing it over to his staff, all of which are nice and competent in the plumbing work they do. Daniel has extensive knowledge about plumbing, but even shared some info with me about some of the history of SM's water, why we have certain piping and about the possibility of getting a rebate from the City (finger's crossed!).

What really set's Daniel apart from other plumbers is his willingness to tell you exactly what is going on, exactly what is needed, and what the price is going to be - before any work is done. I appreciate that he takes the time to tell me exactly what is wrong or needs fixing and how he's going to do it. Today I had the opportunity to hear him working and training his team member, and he is amazingly kind, patient and really a great teacher. It is evident in his work with his team that he cares, that he wants them to do good work and wants them to take pride in the work they do. I think that's pretty amazing to witness! Daniel is a really nice, stand up guy that oozes honesty and quality work.

We have had Enviro Plumbing replace our hot water heater, replace a bathroom stopper, flush our shower and replace a dripping pressure valve. I won't call anyone else across the West Side!

Enviro Plumbing is my first call for any plumbing related issues! I have been a customer for years.  Daniel really knows his business and his guys are always prompt, professional and friendly. Most recently I had a backed up sink and called them late on a Friday, and he had two guys come over before the work day was over. On top of that he only charged me for one guy. They are really stellar at what they do and I highly recommend!

Daniel and his team know exactly how to fix every plumbing issue I have had. Plus, they are the nicest people ever! Courteous and kind. And reliable - they show up on time, every time. How I wish that every other business operated this way. To date, Enviro Plumbing has worked on my shower, sinks and toilet.

And Enviro Plumbing is trustworthy. I had an issue with a leaking shower that could have been very expensive to fix (tearing out walls, etc) but Daniel found a way around it, no more drips and saved me $ and allergy problems to boot (plaster dust gives me asthma attacks.)

My building has been using Daniel and Enviro Plumbing for many years. They can handle the most basic plumbing issue as well as major projects such as water heater replacement. When I first purchased and renovated my condo, one of the 40+ year old pipes in the bathroom burst and caused some damage to my new kitchen. I called Enviro as I was told by long time owners that they were the preferred vendor, and know I understand why. They are professional, responsive, and you can trust their work. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Amazing service from Daniel and Manny. I cannot imagine anyone giving less that 5 stars. Knowledgeable, prompt, polite and professional, and cleaned up afterwards. Really wowed me.

Yesterday I got fed up with our frustratingly slow drain, so i decided to take matters into my own hands, using internet-inspired home-made solutions... Of course, instead of helping, this attempt turned the slow drain into a full-on unmovable clog. Our only shower became completely unusable... We faced a grimy smelly sweaty future, in which we'd slowly lose our humanity, slowly becoming feral, forced to grow dread-locks, giving up on our semblance of civilization...

Luckily i found EnviroPlumbing!! Daniel promptly came to the rescue, clearing up the clog in a breeze, with equal parts kindness and skills. He was knowledgeable and professional, his service timely and effective, and the charge absolutely reasonable. (and they're committed to sustainability!) Daniel is a low-key hero. I will definitely call this company again, should we ever have more plumbing needs.

Finally we can shower and feel human again.

Daniel, Jose, and the rest of the guys at Enviro are great. Daniel is just a really nice guy, and very honest...
They are great in time sensitive situations, and always get the job done. A little expensive, but great in time sensitive situations.

Very, very disappointing services provided. Well informed in advance about job requirements and sent 2 technicians untrained for installation of Toto high-end appliance. Of course, asked in advance for prepayment which will be applied against​ job! Prepayment was returned.

We own a rental house.  We called Enviro Plumbing on September 28th to unclog a
bathtub drain.   I was there when his plumbers arrived and I advised them that there were two clean outs available, but the plumbers insisted on going thru the
tub drain.

When they were finished working they showed me the drain stopper and said it should be replaced.  Later the tenant told me the stopper did not work.  Eventually I found out that the plumbers had damaged the bathtub drain,and it was leaking under our house.

The owner of Enviro Plumbing, Danielle, called me on the Monday following their visit and insisted we pay immediately, which we did, although I was unhappy, since we knew the stopper didn't work.  We did not know the drain was damaged at that time.  So, mistakenly, we sent out a check.

I have repeatedly called Enviro Plumbing, hoping they would at least call me back to discuss the damage, and the possibility of returning our $125 payment.  I am very disappointed in the poor business practice of Enviro Plumbing, and would not recommend them to anyone.

We have used these guys for all our plumbing needs for the past several years and are never disappointed. They do great work for a very reasonable price.

I noticed that the showerhead was dripping in an old house we were about to rent.  It had two valves, one for hot and one for cold.  I thought of doing it myself because replacing a faucet washer is about the most simple plumbing task possible, and I have done it many times.  But, I did not have the special tool (a tube-like hex socket) that makes it easy to unscrew the valve.  And, I wanted to vet a plumber which is to say find one I could have some trust in for future repairs.  And further I had a budget for this.  So I called Enviro Plumbing and have to report this OUTRAGEOUS UPSELL SCAM.
The guy arrived and looked at the valves, then went outside to the access panel that opened easily. The old iron pipes had been replaced with copper many years ago and the access was installed then.  The backs of the new valves were clearly visible, and it could be seen that the copper upgrade was connected to an old iron pipe that led to the shower head itself.  The guy pointed at the transition, and said, oh that's bad.  I began to worry here, but gently re-directed him to the PROBLEM of the drip which had nothing to do with the section of pipe above the valves.
He goes back inside to work, comes out a while later with the whole valve stem in his hand, and says he wants to replace the whole cartridge but does not have one and needs to drive to a store to buy a new one!  I had to point out that the WASHER was the only problem, having been crushed for years and clearly in need of replacement.  I said NO, there is nothing wrong with the valve, just replace the washer that is DESIGNED to be easily replaced by removing the screw that holds it in.
He had limited English skills, so he called his scheduler, and sent a picture.  The scheduler came back with this drivel that if he tried to remove the screw, it might break!  The screw had a small amount of corrosion on it, and he claimed that somehow that was proof it would break.
It was only my experience here allowed me to disagree.  Having broken a screw or two in my time, if the head is BADLY corroded it can happen, then you pop off the dead washer and grab the screw stem with pliers and take it out.  The washer replacement kits you can buy usually come with replacement screws!
I pointed out he had not even TRIED to take the screw out and my observation of the corrosion convinced me there would be NO PROBLEM removing the screw.  Scheduler tells me they are trying to save me from the drama of a broken screw by replacing the whole valve stem.  Plumber tells the scheduler he does not have a washer!  No kidding!  I insist he at least TRY to take the screw out, and comes out fine!  Then he actually does find washers in the truck and sells me two for $1.60 each.
Faucets are no longer leaking, and I get the $125.00 minimum trip charge I was expecting plus the $3.20 for washers.  
BUT NO WAY WOULD I TRUST THESE GUYS EVER AGAIN!
Turns out my leaky shower faucet was originally coded as REPLACE CARTRIDGE so the upsell was decided by the scheduler I possibly?  I know a lot of newer showers use the single lever cartridge but even those often have easily replaceable seals/gaskets/o-rings and selling a whole new cartridge is a scam, especially if you DON'T HAVE ONE ON THE TRUCK and then can charge for time driving around to buy one!

Very lucky that my husband found Enviro Plumbing. Daniel arrived soon after we called, and he was helpful and kind. Solved our problem in a blink of an eye.

Completely unprofessional.  What company confirms an appointment, takes your deposit and does not show up? Half hour past the appointment time I called to see what the delay was only to find that the plumber took on a last minute job and will not be coming at all. Completely ridiculous. Don't waste your time and stay away from Enviro Plumbing.

These guys are keepers!  We live off Ocean Park Blvd. in the Sunset Park area of Santa Monica.

I'd called a couple plumbers in the hopes of getting our high-end toilet problem resolved. Who knew this fancy toilet would be difficult to work on?  The first guy took one look at it and walked away. Can't do it, he said.  Why did I buy this kind of toilet? he asked.  Then Daniel's Enviro team showed up - no problem.  An hour or so later, the problem was resolved and fixed. No hassles.  They even cleaned up the entire area.  I signed a blank invoice - not generally a good sign, but when I got the bill via email, I was more than pleased at the fair price.  I'd been pinned against the wall - relatives were about to arrive, and these guys came to the rescue.  I can't say enough good things about them.  

Now about the toilet, in case anyone cares.  This is a Toto toilet purchased in 2013 from Snyder-Diamond.  It's one of those low flush units with the two buttons on the top of the back unit.  It's supposed to be a very environmentally conscious kind of toilet.  It certainly wasn't cheap.

The first guys who came out were clearly old-school - some place up on Montana.  Nice enough and probably OK for a conventional toilet.  But like in so many other parts of our domestic environment, toilets have moved into the modern age. They use less water to get the job done.  We've made adjustments to our lives to reduce impact on the environment.  Some service technicians have also changed with the times - and Daniel's Enviro Plumbing is one of those who can deal with the advancements in his field. His guys weren't the least bit freaked out by our toilet.  They just came in, fixed the problem, and went on to their next gig.  They deserve a decent review and I am hoping that my comments do them justice!

Daniel and Jose are the TRUTH! They're professional, resourceful, prompt, attuned to urgency, honest, friendly, and--most importantly--expert.

They've handled complicated and/or time sensitive work without sacrificing attention to our needs or our HOA's role.

I've always found it easy to discuss the issues with them. Explanations without jargon or justification. They have a can-do attitude and they're willing to go the extra mile with a personal touch.

Working on a garage makeover in Santa Monica, we inadvertently hit a water line and sprung a leak.  After getting the water shut off, I went searching on Yelp for a local plumber.  After the 3rd call, I finally found a company that answered their phone.  Daniel was very responsive and said he could have someone there within 2 hours.  They actually were there within 1 hour and quickly took care of the repair at a very fair price.  A great experience for using them for the 1st time.

Called about 5 plumbers before Enviro...some were double the price, others wouldn't give me a price over the phone, yet others spoke broken English imparting no confidence in my expectations. Enviro were polite and knowledgeable from the beginning, I described the problem to  Daniel and he was clear on exactly how long it would take and the cost...and that is exactly what happened. They came on time, unclogged the back up, Done.

I asked everyone I knew for a referral for a good plumber, and not a one could offer up a plumber they could wholeheartedly recommend without qualifications.  I've owned a 1950s  Santa Monica condo for the past 15 years, so I've known my share of mediocre, sloppy or overpriced local plumbers.   I recently needed a new toilet and new bathroom sink fixture, and of course all of my localized water shut offs were old and non-functional (which meant I needed to shut off the water for the entire building to work in my bathroom)... Yelp led me to Enviro Plumbing, and I am absolutely relieved and happy to report that I now have a fully functional bathroom and everything went smoothly.

Daniel quoted me a price on the phone, listened to me carefully, and then went on to do exactly what he said he was going to do, and when he was going to do it.  He and his staff were punctual, considerate and went the extra mile to clean up after themselves when they were done.  When I needed a follow-up, Daniel was quick to address my needs.  He definitely takes clear communication and customer service seriously.

UNBELIEVABLE!!! Daniel quoted me a really fair price on a clogged drain that turned out to be much much more work than anticipated.  I had a  mass of roots growing into the pipes.  It took two men a couple of hours to clean and fix the problem.  It was obviously going to cost much more than originally quoted, BUT Daniel was so kind by keeping the price the same--$100--what a blessing! I cannot tell you how relieved I am to have a reliable, clean and honest plumber with Daniel and his crew, Jose and Pepe, at Enviro Plumbing.  I have been hiring him for a few years now, and I must recommend him to everyone in this area.  Fast, friendly and fair.  Wish I could give more stars!

Last night - I accidentally dropped my engagement ring into the toilet.  It sent me into a panic.  I googled how to fix it, but realized that it would be too much for me and my husband to take care of.   So the next place, I went to was yelp.  

I called last night and left a message.  Called again this morning and Daniel picked up the phone.  He told me that he could be at my apartment at 10AM.  He showed up on time and quickly went to work on retrieving the ring.  He was great at telling me what he would do and what would happen next if he wasn't able to find it with each step.  He found it after pouring out the contents of the toilet and snaking it.  Thank goodness.

He cleaned everything up nicely and set the toilet back up with a new seal.  Awesome!!!!  Very friendly and professional.  He would take off his shoes when walking on the carpet and made sure to leave our place clean.

Not interested in doing any of the work I inquired about, too busy to articulate exactly why or to offer another option, or to suggest I call back later. So, zero customer service from the get go.I guess this is the way of the world now. I miss old school businesses. Bummer.

I've had a few plumbing problems in my building. I called Enviro Plumbing in a moment of desperation and Daniel (who I believe is the owner) was really nice, professional and accommodating. He got plumbers out to me ASAP. They did a great job and Daniel was helpful with explaining everything to me every step of the way.

I can highly recommend this company! Our toilets were blocked and it was really a terribly bad situation. I called Enviro Plumbing and Daniel, the owner, picked up right away. He quoted me a good price for two technicians per hour on the phone, which was lower than the prices of any competitor. When I asked him if there were any additional or hidden charges he reassured that the quoted price included everything. Within two hours a two-person team came out  and worked very hard. They snaked from the cleanout by the bathroom, showers and toilets all the way to the main drain, and also checked the main drain that connects to the sewage line.  They also did a great job cleaning up the mess.  And Daniel charged me exactly the price he had quoted on the phone.

This was especially pleasant as I had contacted one of their competitors before, a larger, well established company. Those people quoted one price on the phone and on site they came up with huge additional charges  (for 2 men, staircase, length of distance from street to bathroom, extra equipment, etc.. ). Not so Enviro Plumbing. They are communicative, honest, and don't try to trick or upsell you. Overall a great experience in a difficult situation. They have gained me a customer who will rely on them in the future.

Enviro Plumbing from start to finish was a five-star job.  I initially called a few days before Christmas when seemingly every plumber in LA was busy.  Daniel, the owner, was able to get a member of his team to my house within an hour or so of my call.  The plumber, Pepe, also delivered great service.  He was very thorough, courteous, got a very difficult job fixed and cleaned up after all was said and done.  Really good, honest guys and a great experience!

very rude person that answers their phone with Australian accent!!! i just called to get a quote and i was told it could be anything but to get a quote i have to pay $125 per hour! Funny! but what a rude guy!

We had them out again. Something went down the drain and eventually it cause a huge problem in the main line. Daniel had the plumbers come within an hour or two. They quickly got the water moving out and the blockage cleared. Again, they cleaned up put everything back nice and neat.

I don't normally write reviews.  In fact this company compelled me to finally sign up and write one.  I always use yelp, and found this company from the reviews already posted.  And for good reason.

I called because of a couple issues dealing with my apartment's bathroom (where I rent).  Issues with the sink, shower head, and toilet.  Jose came out the next day.  Jose was great about investigating where the problem was coming from... talking me through it... and exhausting every possibility and not just knocking down walls to figure it out (even though that would have been a logical next step in my situation).  Instead he found out it was a simple issue and fixed it.  Nice, quick, helpful.  And he also gave some tips after noticing our water heater didn't have the proper safety precautions in place.

Later on that same day, I noticed that one of the issues was still happening with our toilet.  I called the next morning and Daniel, who I presume is the owner, came by two hours later, made the final adjustments needed and got it fixed.  Everything was explained.  Extremely nice guy and also cool just talking with him while he fixed it.  Awesome service on every level.  This is a great company that seems completely focused on doing everything the way it should be done... on every level.

Just stop your searching and use these guys.

What a great company.  We have been using Daniel for several years on a few different properties.  Always reliable and honest.   He comes when he says he will and gets the job done without delay.  

I once had a problem with our tankless water heater and called him and he told me over the phone how to simply fix it.

These guys are the best!  So impressed by their professionalism and dedication.  Had a very tricky shower handle which was impossible to remove because the screw was completely stripped.  However, Daniel fixed the problem, after three visits to our place, and total dedication to finding a solution. They kept their word, explained the issues and treated us like their top priority. We finally have hot water again!  Cannot recommend these guys more highly.  I'm looking forward to our next plumbing issue!

I just called Enviroplumbing to request an estimate for repairing the drainage system in my house. The guy who answered the phone told me he was too busy to provide an estimate and hung up on me! Even if they are too busy, I would expect a minimum amount of courtesy along with perhaps an apology and a suggestion for a better time to call back. Hanging up in a potential customer's face like that is not only extremely rude, but completely unprofessional.

Wonderful prompt, friendly service.  Came the same day, had to order a part, came again the next day and finished.  Great job by Jose'.

Daniel is the man. I had a surprise kitchen sink clog and as a newbie to the area? I wasn't quite sure where to go. I was impressed with Envrio's reviews on yelp and gave him a shot. He literally was at my doorstep within 15 minutes, and this was in the afternoon when most plumbers already have their days scheduled. As soon as he walked in, he was courteous, nice and very respectful of our apartment. Took off his shoes without me even asking. He was quick, clear and talked to me like a human (didn't talk down to me as some contractors can). And gave me some nice tidbits about the neighborhood. I highly recommend these guys. I'm sure daniel's crew is as fantastic as he was.

I called owner Daniel Beattie for service on Nov 3 and he sent some guys to snake my bathroom and washing machine drains.  Service was fine at the time. It was after the shower drain got reclogged within 2 weeks that I had a problem.

I needed to get my shower drain re-snaked.  But I could not remember the name of the plumber I used for the service until Dec 17th. I called Daniel back to have him snake the drain again. I explained the issue to him and the reason for the delay in calling him due to my inability to remember Enviro's name.

Daniel then proceeded to say that his guys did not snake my bathroom drain because it was not listed in the invoice.  I explained that his guys did do the bathroom even if he did not have it listed in the invoice.  He then said that the 6 weeks between the 2 calls meant that they would not provide a complimentary service call even though their invoice said their work was covered for a month. I explained my delay in calling again. Daniel said he didn't believe me on both counts:  1.  They did not snake my bathroom drain. 2. They didn't believe that the clog reappeared within 2 weeks, well within the coverage period.

He was very rude to me when I asked him point blank if he thought I was lying. He said yes.  And then hung up on me.

There are a lot of other plumbers to use so I would recommend using a service where the owner does not accuse his customers of lying and won't stand by their service.   Rudeness is unacceptable.  Stay away from Enviro!!!!

Super responsive. Very professional. Needed my kitchen drain line snaked, and the guys were there promptly. Jose and his assistant got right to it. While they were there, I mentioned that I thought a supply line was leaking too, and Jose dug right in. The supply line just needed to be tightened, but he also found that a gasket in one of the drain lines was bad and replaced it. Excellent service. I've found my plumber!

I live in Santa Monica at 4th and Bay and  found Enviro Plumbing through reviews online and couldn't be more satisfied with the service. I needed to have a new vanity installed in my bathroom, as well as new fixtures for the shower. I explained to Daniel, the owner, that my parents were coming to stay the next week, but that I was also unavailable for a few days. He worked me into the schedule to have two men come out to do the work within a few days, and even came the evening before to scope out the project.  

I was replacing my pedestal sink and the new vanity was at odds with the plumbing height, so we agreed that we needed to move the pipes. In addition, when he went into the wall behind the shower, we discovered a leaking copper pipe which would need to be replaced. Throughout the discussion, Daniel was open to my suggestions, understood my hesitations and explained the costs and options. For instance, he explained the different types of pipes we could use and their costs and benefits. Turns out the most expensive is not necessarily the best option - and I appreciated that he didn't oversell me.  

The plumbers were competent and efficient. There was an issue with fitting the pipe within an area of the vanity, and I wanted it to be a certain way. Daniel stopped by to work out a solution to my satisfaction.  

Enviro Plumbing is not the cheapest plumbing services around, but I completely trust their advice and work. They will do it the right way - no cutting corners, quality work, and aiming for customer satisfaction. You get what you pay for and I would highly recommend Enviro Plumbing and am happy to discuss their service.

Amazing work and professionalism. Enviro Plumbing recently helped repair a major plumbing issue. Not only was there an immediate response but they quickly fixed the issue with drainage effected by roots that had grown into the pipes. The service was fast, thorough and efficient and left with the job 100% done. Couldn't be happier with Enviro. The owner and staff were well informed and courteous as well. Haven't had a problem since.

First rate all the way! What a pleasure to deal with Daniel, the owner, and Angel & Pepe for what turned out to be an aggravating, complicated job. The removal of a water heater shouldn't be so, but since we just moved in this year, & found out the previous owner should've definitely replaced, we called Daniel's co. That's when we found out that the builders had built a closet tightly around the water heater--on the roof, 4 flights up (!), making it very challenging to remove, & then equally as challenging. Daniel had Pepe and Angel, clearly experienced plumbers working on it for much longer than originally thought, but didn't charge us extra for all the extra time and effort.  The guys also moved our disposal, & some other small jobs--all w/a smile, professionally, & quickly (after the water heater!)

Just had a terrible experience with Enviro and since we relied on the references on Nextdoor, I thought I should post here as well.   We had an appointment made on Saturday, March 9, 2019 - at 1:30 to address a leak that we have.  My wife and I organized our day around this appointment.  So 1:30 comes around and goes and we call around 1:50 and get the receptionist/scheduler (Andrea).  Apparently the technician is running late - they took on a last minute job and are running late - now 2:30.  We told them that seems like a pretty lousy business practice to confirm an appointment (and take a $125 credit card fee) and then take another job as well.  We call back about 10 minutes later and we are told that the technician now won't be able to come at all.  Just a great way to run a business.  So beware.  If you value your time at all, just avoid.  There are plenty of plumbers out there.  And last thing we need is for the receptionist to hang up on us as well.

Daniel is an amazing plumber...a rare site in Southern California unfortunately.  I called 3 other plumbers and all three either flaked on our appointments or never called back.  Enviro booked our appointment the next day, fixed 2 toilet issues instantly and the bill was cheaper than expected.

In a market where a good plumber is hard to find, they are a beacon!  Enviro is in my cell for all plumbing issues in he future.

These guys at Enviro Plumbing are the best!  They are very knowledgeable about all kinds of plumbing and home repair issues.  I don't think there's any job they couldn't handle.  They are honest, professional, and work very quickly to resolve their customer's plumbing needs.  They have fixed several home problems for me from cleaning outdoor drainage pipes to replacing a gas piping system.  And they are always timely, thorough, and teach me something new every time.

Enviro Plumbing (almost) makes me want to have more plumbing emergencies, that's how good they are. Daniel and his team are super professional, friendly and reasonably priced. Who says businesses don't care about thier customers? Not Enviro. It seems they go above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied. OMG I love Enviro Plumbing! Listen I hate having any type of plumbing issue. It can be a real hastle. But Daniel and Enviro plumbing are always super accomodating. What a great experience. I mean, I hate having clogs, but Daniel got to my place in under 24 hours and had me fixed up (probably even better than before) in under an hour. Quoted me a price on the phone and the invoice was ultimately for a dollar less! I know home-work isn't Enviro's typical job, but they'll be my first call for a plumber as long as they are willing to come out.

I can't recommend Enviro Plumbing enough. I have used them several times for emergency rotor cleaning to clean the main line of our house to the street. They always are able to fit us in an emergency and save things from becoming a huge disaster. The owner is super nice and the plumbing guys who have come to the house have also been super nice, helpful and cleaned up after they finished the work (which I really appreciated!!). I recently had to hire them again to fix the mess Sears left behind when I ordered a new washer. Enviro Plumbing was able to magically fit me in at the last minute and get all the hoses and shut off valves set up before Sears returned with my washer. I definitely recommend hiring them if you are getting a new appliance rather than counting on Sears or Best Buy to install. It will save you a lot of hassle. They always use top quality products like metal hoses over plastic, so it will last a long time. Originally I found them here on Yelp with 5 star reviews and so happy I did!!

I needed a plumber on no notice to move some pipes to finish a home improvement project. It was 4:00 p.m. on a Tuesday, so I started calling around. Daniel from Enviro Plumbing answered right away and agreed to swing by on his way home from work. He provided an estimate which ended up being less than half the amount quoted by the only other plumber I could get to come out (not until the next morning), and could roll a truck by 9:00 a.m. the next morning, which is amazing. Enviro Plumbing finished the work by the end of the next day in a competent, professional manner and we were really happy. Really nice guys as well. I will use them for all future plumbing work.

Daniel responded immediately to my emergency. He was able to get to my holiday rental property in venice sooner than me and I was only 30 mins away. It was a very tricky problem given that the plumbing snake tends to go out the vent rather than down the drain. I have had to address blockages in this line 6 times in the last six months. Everytime the other plumbing companies pulled the toilet made a huge mess and charged like wounded bulls. Daniel had the brilliant idea of running the snake down the vent line from the roof. No mess no need to pull the toilet and quickly resolved the blockage. To top it off he is a great guy and I enjoyed chatting to him while he was at the house. So basically he was the fastest, cleanest, least expensive, nicest plumber. I also appreciate his advice on how to stop the problem from occurring again. He identified the tree likely to be responsible for the roots. I am planning to have Daniel on speed dial from now on.

After a different plumber, who came recommended, couldn't make heads or tails of my fairly straightforward problem, I called Enviro, based on their reviews here.  Enviro responded promptly and thoroughly fixed it, without a moment's head-scratching bafflement.  Also, the guy who did the work couldn't have been nicer or more pleasant.  I've found my plumbers.  Do yourselves a favor, call Enviro.

Seemed like a good referral at the time.  Had a couple of conversations with Daniel and emailed him some plans of my home to help give him an general idea of my plumbing system.  He calls me back and immediatly starts talking about one fix and estimates the cost at $7k.  He proceeds to explain an alternate fix at an estimated cost of $15-$20k.  Of coarse I balk at the thought of a $20k plumbing bill so he retorts and says he can probably do it for $12-15k.  My next comment to Daniel is how can you make estimates like these without having gone to the property to see the system and problem in person?  He didn't like my question and said good luck to you mate, and hung up on me.  No joke.  I really thought he should have come out to the property first before quoting me.  Maybe i do have a $7-$20k problem, I don't know, but I would expect a personal consultation (which I was prepared to pay for), before i shell out this kind of money.  Probably does good work, but this attitude and giving verbal quotes over the phone without seeing the job is a bad combination in my mind.  It's not ok and certainly not professional to hang up on a potential customer.
