Best Recessed Light Repair in Chicago IL

A+ work on my condo! We had some wiring issues and our lights in our kitchen would never turn on fully. We reached out to AC/DC and they responded in a timely manner and were also very friendly. You can tell they are trying to save you money, while fixing the issues and aren't like companies that are just looking for a quick buck. They fixed our kitchen wiring and now I can see while I'm cooking again! They also looked at a few things in the bathroom while they were here and were looking forward to having them come back. I had a great experience with T&D. We scheduled over email and they were very responsive and clear in what was needed for a quote. I had a
Chandelier hung, a ceiling fan replaced and a new ceiling fan installed. The work was done very well and efficiently and coincided with the expected quote.  I would absolutely use them again.

Quality at affordable prices. Had him do several things including installation and fixing some other electrical issues. Other places quoted weeks to come out, he completed the job in under 7 days. Will definitely call for all future electrical work.

I'm not really one to write reviews, but these guys are AMAZING and deserve the recognition.  I had 3 outlets that weren't working. Because the technicians had finished up early on a job in my area, they were able to help me out same day.  The guys showed up, super friendly and polite (wiped their shoes before walking into my apartment!), and quickly assessed the issues with my outlets.  Two of them were easy to fix, like comically easy.  But instead of being condescending, they walked me through the fix and what to do if it happened again, which as a female who knows NOTHING about electricity, I greatly appreciated. They fixed the 3rd outlet which required a bit more work very quickly.  All in all the whole job took roughly 25 minutes and was WAY cheaper than I had been anticipating.  

I will DEFINITELY be contacting this company again for any future electrical needs!

I hired Blacklite on behalf of our condo association to repair external lighting on our building. Neville was very communicative over text messages to coordinate the work and Johnny was both friendly and professional on-site. Blacklite repaired our two front lanterns, updating the wiring, and replaced four fixtures in the rear with more modern and efficient units.

The price we paid felt fair and competitive. Importantly, the work was performed with a very quick turnaround. I'd happily hire Blacklite again for either association or personal electrical work.

We turned to Kinetic Energy a couple years ago on the recommendation of a neighbor, after another electrician did some inadequate work.  They're now the only electricians we'll work with.  They have installed lights and ceiling fans and wired our 1914 house for ethernet.  

Recently we had a couple scary incidents with the old cloth-covered wires... what seemed like shorts in two different spots in the house.  They showed up same-day to fix everything, and took extra time to explain to us what had happened.  It's a relief to know we're safe in our house!

Noel and Kyle did a great Job. Resolved all of my concerns as promised.  The price he gave was the price i paid even though they ran in to quite a few obstacles in my old house wiring. Would definitely recommend Alltown electric.

I needed an electrician to install sconces at my place. Victor did an awesome job: he was quick, very efficient and the price was very affordable. I definitely recommend him and I will work with Victor again,

We returned home from a holiday trip to find some electrical problems in our kitchen that we could not correct on our own.  When we called Aardvark, Frank made some suggestions that we could try without us having to hire him to come out to the house.  We ended up needing him, since we still could not fix the problems.  When he arrived, he quickly explained his service fee and hourly rates.  He quickly fixed our kitchen problems, then diagnosed and fixed 2 other outlets that we asked him to look at.  His rates were fair, he did not mind that I asked questions.  He even made some suggestions for things that I could fix on my own and save myself money.

Frank clearly takes pride in his work and takes pride in treating his customers honestly and fairly.  We will be calling him again to come do more work in our house in the future.

I first called Skyline when I had an issue with some lighting and Kent gave me free advice over the phone. A few months later I had tried to install a piece of track lighting myself and ended up damaging the track. I gave Skyline a call back and this time Kent came by the same day and was super helpful. He not only immediately fixed the track, but also went the extra mile and installed the piece of lighting that I had been trying to install! All while being super friendly and talking me through it. Definitely recommend!

LMV Electric was very helpful fixing a circuit breaker that wouldn't reset. I was very pleased, even BEFORE Lukasz arrived to do the job.

When I called, very late afternoon on Saturday, Maggie answered the call and was able to answer several questions. I've found that it is rare to find someone who is knowledgeable and cares and willing to offer basic trouble-shooting tips/advice (especially in the trades) when you make an initial call. More often than not, they'll have someone call you back or worse, you'll get an answering service. That's definitely not the case with LMV. Instead, I got personal, professional, helpful service from the first call, through to job completion.

On top of that, they were on time and did the work at a fair price.

I guess my highest compliment is that I was so pleased with the entire experience with LMV Electric that I'm planning on having them come back and do additional work. Great job, highly recommended.

Scott called me right away when I used Yelp to get a quote. They were pretty busy but I heard every electrician was (even my plumber told me lol). So I scheduled for the nearest apptmt in about 5 wks, and I wondered if they would forget... they didn't! They called maybe the day before to check in and day of, they were punctual. I forget who came, but the guy was very efficient. He even installed an extra light fixture I had. Based on their hourly rate that they had quoted, it was exactly that. I SO value honest companies after dealing with terrible ones like Arrow Plumbing. Really, life would be so much more pleasant if some people didn't feel the need to cheat others in order to get ahead.

Our kitchen cabinet (under-mount) lighting stopped working and it was not a simple as to change the bulbs - a wiring issue - so I looked up for a reliable electrician in my area (thank you, Yelp reviewers!) When I called Donatello Electric, Don answered the phone immediately and he was super polite and accommodating. He came and gave us a couple of options and quotes right away. We decided to put this tape-like lighting to go all the way around the entire cabinet. It wasn't inexpensive for a small kitchen but Don said it'd last for a long time, so we pulled the trigger.  We added a dimmer for extra charge, and even though we don't use it, I'm glad we went with it for an added value. If we decide to sell our place down the road, I think it'll look nice during the open house in the evening (I hear that's a thing now). Mike, the electrician, who did all the work, was super nice and got the job done very efficiently to our satisfaction. He also replaced our bathroom switches. We were very happy with their service and highly recommend them!

Prolite is one of the subcontractors working on my home remodel. They came and installed two ceiling fans for me and did the wiring for my bathroom remodel. Matt and Jack are exactly the professionals you'd want - knowledgeable, conscientious, and trustworthy about working in your home. I will use them in the future for my electrical needs.

I found this company on Yelp, and called because of the high ratings, Charles was amazing! I told him my problem, and he suggested that I call ComEd, Bam problem fixed. His communication with me was awesome, this is, now, my go to company for electrical needs. Thanks again.

Matt installed 12 ultra-thin LED wafer lights with dimmers in my basement for us and I couldn't be happier.

Communication was excellent.  After I contacted him and told him what I was looking for, we quickly worked out a plan using some pictures of my basement as well as a diagram of my proposed light layout.  He had some good recommendations on how many switches to use due to my layout (2) as well as going with wafer LEDs due to some ceiling joists and duct work that may have gotten in the way.

He showed up right on time, had all the tools, equipment, and parts that were needed, and was done about 7 hours later.

My basement room is now much brighter, and the dimmers have already come in handy.

I would use him again for any future electrical work.

Every month I get a call from them- they did work for us over 10 years ago. I ask to be taken off the list and yet they still keep calling. After dealing with that I would never use them
