I hired Redline Electric Services based on their positive Yelp reviews, their work did not disappoint. Our house is over 30 years old and had some electrical issues. Igor was very thorough and took his time to explain what needed to be done, and why. We had a GFI outlet that was occasionally tripping. He explained what he thought was the root cause of the problem and gave his recommendation. He also replaced a standard outlet in our laundry room that was currently not a GFCI outlet or per code, and another standard outlet in our powder room. Our current outdoor outlet was fitted with one designed for indoor use only, so Igor replaced it with an appropriate one. He also replaced a hallway ceiling hard wired smoke alarm. The job took approx. 2 hours, and the price was reasonable. Will call Redline for all of our future electrical work.

I called Dependable Electric on a Friday afternoon while we were renovating a room. The baseboard heater hadn't been working for some time, and purchasing a new one didn't fix it. I described the problem over the phone to Paul and he said he could be out on Monday. When Monday came, Paul called early to let us know he was available sooner than expected and would it be okay to come over. He was so courteous! I'm used to companies usually being late, so him coming early and checking with us was a wonderful surprise!
When he arrived, he went over all the necessary paperwork and expectations - Paul was very clear and helpful. He inspected the issue and found a solution for us in the first hour, and saved us from some poor work done by a previous owner. I really appreciated that he kept us updated as he worked, telling us what may be the problem, what it definitely wasn't, and letting us know about the upkeep of our house's wiring. Never once did he feel pushy or like he was talking down to us. I would definitely go to Paul in the future for another project!

We needed help installing a light fixture and adding outlets upstairs. It was a tricky task. Zach planned his approach and discussed it with me. He ran romex through the attic and was careful to minimize cutting into walls. Zach installed the outlets without a hitch. The outlets have worked perfectly ever since and the light fixture he did for me looks terrific. I like that Zach listened to me and my concerns before starting the work and that he explained his plan to me ahead of time. He never tried to up-charge or up-sell me on anything. I recommend him to you without reservation.

I scheduled an appointment for EV installation was given a date and time, I was expecting the electrician on the day of the appointment and received a text an hour before to let me know he was not going to make it that I had to call Kassidy to reschedule. I called Kassidy (I guess she is the secretary/assistant?) and she gave me an appointment for the following week, once again on the day of the appointment no one showed up. I called to ask and Kassidy told me she did not find anything on the schedule under my name, because this was the second time I was getting dismissed I told her I wanted my money back. At that point I didn't trust someone would show up even though I had already paid in full. She told me she needed to call me back to figure out why I was not on the system, I told her I was no interested any longer because I was in a rush to hire someone so I could just get a refund. She was very offended (not sure why) and started screaming at me, telling me I was causing her stress and most of the things she was yelling I couldn't really understand because of how upset she was. She then proceeds to send me text messages saying I was rude and she was not going to be treated that way and was causing her stress. It was a very bizarre and weird conversation but very unprofessional. First because my appointment was canceled last minute, second because my second appointment was not even on the system and third because this person called Kassidy who has no customer service experience at all. Not nice, very rude and unstable by the way she was screaming and the things she was saying. Kassidy told me to talk to the owner directly so I asked for the phone number for which she responded with look it up yourself. Nothing against the owner which by the way was helpful and apologetic but still it was a very odd situation which makes you think this is a sketchy business and they want to steal your money. Please please please DO NOT pay in advance! It will be very hard getting the service done that way. I made the mistake of trusting and paying in full, most businesses require a deposit only. Be careful with this lady, she has a hard time being nice to customers and has no empathy towards customer's situations and won't help you.
Update: I got a call from Eugene asking me to take down the review, I told him no because of the many inconveniences and the way I was treated by his staff member. He never assumed responsibility for the actions of Kassidy and went on and on that she just had a baby and was dealing with too much. Completely understand that part but that doesn't give her the right to yell and be disrespectful, if she just had a baby and is having a hard time she shouldn't be working and instead taking time off. His reply just confirms the fact that he is again not assuming responsibility and keeps justifying the actions of this person. When you call twice and you are told your appointment was rescheduled and then that rescheduled appointment didn't exist because they couldn't find me on the system yes the first thought is oh wow this was a scam especially when I asked Kassidy for a refund and she hanged up on me. The invoice I was sent was specifically for the total amount, there was no option for partial payment or deposit and I was told very clearly I had to pay so I could get confirmation of appointment. I was sent an invoice by text message which I proceeded to pay, but again the owner is blaming me for my mistake?. Like I told you Eugene, you need to deal with the consequences of your actions and your staff's actions. I also read a few reviews about you using your minority card and it's true, he said that to me too. Good luck and hope no one experiences what I experienced with this company.

I rarely write reviews, today was a experience that was exceptional that deserves this review. Don and James from custom electric were a pleasure to work with from the moment they came in. They listened patiently to my requirements and worked out a solution that turned out better than i expected. They were fun to talk too. They installed a Level 2 EV charging outlet in my garage got it done in the time promised and even coached me on being careful when inserting the charger outlet for the first time due to the nature of the long prongs in the EV chargers that come with the car, really appreciate that and not have to learn it the shocking way :-)
