Best Recessed Light Installatio… in San Jose CA

My son had just purchased a large 30 year old house, and the extensive landscape lighting had been left in a serious state of disarray. Several landscape and electrical contractors wanted no part of the job. Once Matt understood that I was willing to pay for diagnostic work, he gave an estimate of what his workers' time would cost. Ruben did an outstanding job in sorting out the various problems in an old and disorganized lighting system. When they left, in less time than I had arranged for, all of the various systems had been made functional and understandable. I can easily see why they have garnered such sterling reviews. They will be my go-to company for any future electrical work.

This review is way overdue but I wanted to make sure I that get this review out there. Duke is amazing and helped us with a major addition and remodel to our home back in 2018-2019. He is trustworthy, professional, knowledgeable and a great guy! He was with us through the entire process to final inspection. We highly recommend Duke and his services to anyone who is looking for a reputable and honest electrician. Duke, sorry it took so long but know we are forever grateful for all your help!

I have used this company in the past and was really happy with the straightforward way they deal with their customers. I received a return call very shortly after my initial call and I got an appointment for the following week.
The fans I had needed to be installed in rooms with 17' cathedral ceilings, so they had to run power to both places.
They did and excellent job in both locations, no unnecessary damage or mess. The rooms were carefully protected with plastic wrap.  
The work was done quickly and efficiently and the fans work beautifully!

There was a problem with the electrical outlet for my electric range in the kitchen. Nadav was able to walk me through what turned out to be a minor issue over the phone for free instead of him coming down and charging a large amount. Need to say, I will be trying his services for future electrical issues which aren't minor as I am impressed by his business ethics.

Dan was great! He was available to do the consult and the work quickly and he did a great job.

Very fast, prompt , friendly service. Added a NEMA L5-30P outlet on 30 amp breaker, 2 NEMA 5-20P outlets on 20 amp breaker, and a regular outlet on 20 amp breaker to my garage. Also remounted a bad outlet, and additionally replaced my transformer for my video doorbell.
Very courteous and did very clean work. Highly recommended.

The switch on my dining room chandelier suddenly failed. I decided to call Caio Silva of CS Electric because he had so many good reviews on Yelp. For my job, I found Caio to be very pleasant and professional. He made a special effort to make sure that the color of the new switch matched the existing adjacent switches. I highly recommend Caio and will call him if I have electrical work in the future.

Replaced the old doorbell with the Ring. Needed to replace the transformer because the voltage was too low to charge the Ring. These guys did a great job on both transformer and Ring installation. Quick response to my queries, reasonable cost and quick work.

I had the pleasure of working with Mike to install several smart outlets and connect those outlets to Hue light strips and also to Amazon Alexa.  Mike was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful.  He showed up on time, went out of his way to go the extra step to locate a new switch since the one I bought was not compatible and to connect the new hardware to the wi-fi and to Alexa.   He took the time to understand what I was looking for and then gave me the various options to choose from.  He cleaned up when he was done and everything works as expected.   Mike was the third electrician I hired to do this same project.  I wish I would have found him first.   What was so difficult for the previous elections, was a snap for Mike!   I would hire him again for any electrical project and would highly recommend him to anyone who has need for an electrician.

Mike contacted me real quick and seems the invoice mail got lost. Mike was able to resend and finally I received it! Thank you Mike for the quick response and great work!

Mike did a majority good work, and replied fast in the beginning, the reason to give 3 stars is because he didn't send me a final invoice after the job has finished for ~2 months and after many times reminders.  Still waiting..

If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. I needed an EV charger installed immediately. The owner, James responded so quick to my yelp request and offered to come to my house that evening to give me an estimate. I asked how soon he could install since I was in a panic since my car came in way sooner than I anticipated. He had a big job he was doing the next day but offered to have his employee come out at 6 am then next day. WOW! It's not like my job was a huge one but for him to offer this made me so appreciative. His employee showed up right on time (can't say that's ever happened before) he was professional and did an amazing job. Very clean and finished earlier than estimated. I had a bad outlet inside the house that he even fixed on the spot.

I can't say enough great things about JCM electric. I 100% recommend them for all your electrical jobs.

We highly recommend Gary. We needed our recessed kitchen lights fixed and Gary was responsive and came the same day (there was a cancellation). He was punctual, polite, and wore a mask/shoe coverings. We were impressed at how fast he was able to troubleshoot the problem, install new lights and fix our wires (did the job in two hours). He even helped sweep the debris after. We will definitely hire him again if we need another electrical job done. Thank you Gary! We are so happy with our new LED kitchen lights!

Carlos came out this morning, diagnosed the problem quickly, fixed it, cleaned up and charged what he originally quoted. Super happy.

Not TD West Electric. Thought we scheduled an appointment for a site visit to get a more accurate estimate, but no.
They came and started the installation right away. Few hours later and it was all done.

Impressed by this business.  After hours of playing phone tag with my thermostat company troubleshooting, they told me I needed an electrician.  Called Hewlett for a quote - they called back within 5 minutes, explained I'd most likely have an HVAC issue, but gave me a brief explanation and sent two referrals in case it was truly an electrical issue.  Fixed the problem myself in the next ten minutes.  In my experience, this is exactly how the most knowledgeable and trustworthy tradespeople run their businesses.  Won't hesitate to call when I genuinely need work done

After buying our house, we contracted Ted to perform various upgrades to the electrical system including a panel replacement, 200A service upgrade, selective outlet grounding, and installation of new circuits for a treadmill and EV charger.

The project became larger when, after we had had some drywall opened to install a gas line to the stove, Ted noticed some dangerously out-of-code (and clearly unpermitted) electrical work that had been done during a kitchen remodel by the previous owners. This was in such bad shape that Ted inadvertently demonstrated its severity when he caused an arc flash by merely tapping a wire with a pencil when pointing out the problem area to us.

So we had Ted re-wire the kitchen to code as well, which he did, installing separate circuits for major appliances, and generally leaving us much more at ease that our kitchen was no longer an electrical fire hazard. On account of the unanticipated scope growth of the project, when Ted encountered smaller safety issues elsewhere during the course of the project, he fixed them for free or at a deep discount from what the normal price would have been.

Ted handled coordination with PG&E and pulling permits with the city. All of his work passed inspection on the first attempt. He was able to adjust his schedule to ensure that his work did not interfere with other work being done simultaneously (e.g. to the HVAC system and flooring).

During the entire project, he was extremely responsive by both phone and e-mail, and was willing and able to discuss our requirements at length and to clearly explain our options and their tradeoffs (e.g. for using GFCI breakers and a surge arrestor in the panel).

Overall, of all the work we have had done on our new house, Ted was by far the most pleasant contractor to work with, and I would recommend him to anyone.

High quality work and best of all very responsive to emails, quotes, phone calls, and shows up on time.  We had 26 recessed lights installed in our condo including dimmers and timers. Wes came out to check out the condo and what we wanted to do. He was able to email a detailed quote the following day and I have to say it was a very competitive offer. After getting a few more quotes from other electricians it was pretty obvious that we were going with Alley. The install was a 2 day process which in my case required some holes to be cut into the drywall to feed the wires through. This is something that they let you know in advance and that they could refer some dry wall guys to patch it up. Wes was there both days with a couple of his guys. His wife who is also the person that you will correspond with showed up the second day to help out and make sure all was good. They did their best to keep the dust from cutting into the dry wall down to a minimum by carefully covering the place. Overall I would recommend them and I would use them again.

I recently purchased an older home along with outdated electrical wiring throughout. Benjamin and his crew did a fantastic job on replacing my electrical panel along with rewiring and removing old wiring to correct problems I was encountering. Their response time is very quick. I called and within 20 minutes someone was out here making sure that we had hot water again. The employees are very polite and will answer all questions you may have. After browsing a long list of Tesla charger installers, I ultimately chose Fruitdale Electric. Within days of my initial contact, they visited my home and provided a quote, which was much faster than I expected.

On installation day, their technicians arrived promptly. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical wiring through my attic to the opposite side of the house. Despite the terrible weather at the time, they delivered flawless work.

The location of the charger was a challenge due to the tight space, and I had anticipated conduit running outside of my house. However, they exceeded my expectations and executed an incredibly clean installation with no visible wires or conduits, leaving just a Tesla charger on the wall exactly where I wanted it. Most importantly, my car now charges at a rate of over 40mph, a significant improvement from the previous rate of 4mph.
