We needed an emergency service at my mom's home due to a small fire in her kitchen. The Fire Department required us to have an electrician to inspect the burned wires before we can turn on the electrical power. It was hard to find an electrician on Labor Day. Found Acero Electric thru Yelp and Richard performed a superb work, wrote a detailed work done on the invoice, and charged us with a reasonable price. I'm keeping his business card for future reference. Very nice guy as well.

After browsing a long list of Tesla charger installers, I ultimately chose Fruitdale Electric. Within days of my initial contact, they visited my home and provided a quote, which was much faster than I expected.

On installation day, their technicians arrived promptly. They installed a Tesla gen 3 charger, surge protection, and ran electrical wiring through my attic to the opposite side of the house. Despite the terrible weather at the time, they delivered flawless work.

The location of the charger was a challenge due to the tight space, and I had anticipated conduit running outside of my house. However, they exceeded my expectations and executed an incredibly clean installation with no visible wires or conduits, leaving just a Tesla charger on the wall exactly where I wanted it. Most importantly, my car now charges at a rate of over 40mph, a significant improvement from the previous rate of 4mph.

Responsive, quality work and we'll priced. The follow up to ensure all is well has been second to none. Customer satisfaction has been a high priority.

I had an outdoor electrical outlet the powers our outdoor lighting and watering systems that was not working.  I texted Chuck and he texted me back with several things to check (breakers, GFCI reset) in case I could fix it myself quickly.  None of those worked, so he was able to come out quickly and install a new outlet, after discovering that the old outlet was defective.  He was really good to work with, and I'd recommend him highly.

I engaged Fred for my TV mount installation, and I am super impressed with his professional approach.

The one star is regarding trying to get a quote for a 240 outlet installed in  my garage. To begin with no one came to my house to assess the work that I needed to be completed, rather, I was asked to call and facetime. With the facetime, he seemed to have a good idea of the layout of the garage, where I wanted the outlet installed and the distance to the electrical panel. Instead of quoting me the price for the work I wanted, he tried to convince me where I should have the outlet installed. He wanted it installed on the wall directly on the other side of the electrical panel so that it would be easier for me (meaning him) because he just needed to drill a hole and connect it to the panel. I had said that the shelves are there; and his response was to move the fixed shelving system. He said that he would only charge me $400 to install it there, but if I wanted to install the outlet on the same wall, maybe eight feet from where he wanted it installed then it would cost $900. This is a big price difference. He never gave me a price for an install where I actually wanted the outlet installed, however. I've never come across a business like this before. Maybe they are good, but from my experience, this business is unprofessional.

He had already prepared for the issue and brought multiple parts and it was fixed within 25 minutes. He was very honest and trustworthy, I would recommend him to my family and friends any day.

The technician Yovani is very responsive and the communication is straightforward. He arrived job on time, quickly understood the issue and started working on it right away. I wanted to post how happy we are to have worked with Dan Charles (Charles Electric). Dan put in my Generac to deal with all of the power outages we have in California.  Dan and his crew were extremely professional and did an amazing job installing my generator.  What normally takes months to get a generator, only took a couple of weeks.  If you are looking for a Generac,, I recommend Dan and his team.

Quick response via Yelp and arrived on time for quote, very reasonable estimate for the work.  Took them a little longer to finish the job but they stick to their quote.  I had a few items to fix after moving into a new home, including a door bell, adding external wiring for 3 ring flood light cameras, and a couple of outdoor outlets for some backyard lights.  I guess I have some weird electrical wiring in the attic so I may have them come back for a second look.  Everything working so far 2 weeks later!

We were in need of a handyman so turned to Yelp for some recommendations. We quickly came upon Norman of San Mateo Handyman!  We needed a section of drywall patched and an old bathroom sink/faucet swapped out with a new one.

Norman is prompt, courteous, and highly thorough in his approach. He requests photos of what you are looking to repair or fix, he then provided an on-site visit to look at the project, and finally provided a detailed explanation, estimated cost, etc of what the scope of the project is.

Needed a video doorbell installed which required adding a transformer. They did a great job, moved our old doorbell, wired it properly and fixed a broken transformer too. Highly recommend!

Alex came out to fix a problem we had with our Samsung refrigerator where ice formation on the pipes would cause a lot of noise from the circulation fan. He diagnosed and fixed the issue and did a really clean job. I have to commend his efforts to take all covid safety precautions and he left my place in clean shape after the job. Will definitely be reaching out to Fuse again for future jobs.

I hired Tom O'Connor after talking with several handymen, and I'm so glad I did! I recently moved into a new condo, and my attempt to replace an old range hood left me with wires hanging out of my kitchen wall and no way to replace the appliance without closing the connection and putting in a new outlet. The handymen I interviewed all felt the job was complicated, would take several hours to complete, and would likely damage my kitchen wall. A friend who lives out of state and is an electrical engineer recommended I hire a good electrician instead. I found O'Connor and Sons on Yelp, and gave Tom a call one Saturday afternoon. I was planning to just leave a message, but to my surprise he answered the phone, listened patiently as I described the problem, and commiserated with me on the hazards of new home ownership. He told me he was already booked for the next few days, but would give me a call back later in the week. True to his word, I got a call from Tom the following Friday. He arrived right on time, immediately diagnosed the problem, and had his business partner Julian come out later that day to fix my wires. Julian turned out to be just as competent as Tom and had everything squared away within an hour! There was no damage to the kitchen wall, and the only cleanup resulted from a light sprinkling of dust that had fallen on the stovetop. After talking to so many prophets of doom, I was amazed at how fast and easy the repair actually was.  Although O'Connor and Son's hourly rate is higher than the average handyman's, the overall cost of the repair ended up being much lower than I expected. Why? Because Tom and Julian know what they're doing! So if you need electrical work done, hire the experts. They'll get it done quickly and correctly, which will save you money in the long run.

I just had another great experience with O'Connor & Son's Electric! The radiant heating system in my condo was failing and damaging my ceiling. I called Tom to see if he could help me install a new heating system and he came out the next day to have a look. Within an hour he had disconnected the existing system, determined the wattage for the new system, advised me on what type of equipment to purchase, and assured me that I would have heat before the weather turned cold. I ordered the in-wall heaters Tom recommended and let him know when they arrived. A few days later Julian came to install them. Just as before, Julian was incredibly efficient and had the work done in a few hours. The new heaters look great and there was no damage to my walls at all! Tom then followed up with another business associate to get my ceiling repaired and repainted. Once again I'm very pleased with the professionalism and top-quality work Tom and Julian perform. Although their hourly rate may seem high, their expertise is worth every penny.
