We hired Joe and his crew to do major electric work in our house...a generator transfer switch install, several indoor lights, outdoor lights, new wiring for outdoor party lights, new kitchen lights.  He is professional and efficient.   I've already referred other people who also love his work.

H G Electric was fast to respond with a estimated quote for inspecting a problem, replacing circuit breaker, and inspecting an outlet wiring. Came out on a Saturday and completed the work fast. Cost was much less and reasonable compared to some other quotes I received.

David does excellent work.  I had additional switches and lights installed and outlets moved.  He is thoughtful about the work and offered options along the way to insure he provide the best finished product.

Ended up going a different vendor, however Ramon is extremely knowledgeable and reliable. We came extremely close to choosing Ramon for our job, however ended up going with someone who provided better value and had a more flexible schedule. If you're looking for a top-tier electrician, highly recommend Rampad Electric, they may not be the best value however, they are definitely worth the premium, if you need it.

EV installs was great. I was provided a rough estimate over the phone for the installation of a Tesla charger in my garage to replace a standard nema charger. When he arrived, he opened up everything in front of me (explained all he saw) and unfortunately found many shortcuts in the original install. He  identified lack of ground, incorrect gauge being used etc which was the cause of over heating at the outlet. The price did increase for the change of original scope but I was very happy to have the job done correctly.  I recommend EV installs for your car charging needs as they are timely, professional and very detailed in the work performed.

We got a quote by someone else who was telling us we needed to replace some electrical panel, our landlord told us to get another quote and so we called Carlsbad electrical services, they figured out that we didn't need to replace anything and it was just an issue with one outlet and he was able to fix it really easily.

Eddie completed the repair in very short time frame.  Support this Navy Veteran's business.

I wish i had taken a before and after for the sake of yelp! All I can say is that if you are torn, go with Horton! Tom is responsive, kind, and knowledgeable. He wasn't dirt cheap but he didn't inflate prices unreasonably. What we paid for was quality materials, outstanding labor, and peace of mind :)

BOTTOM LINE: IN MY OPINION, IF PRICE IS A CONSIDERATION ... GO SOMPLACE ELSE.

My original review was done before money entered the conversation. I felt obliged to update based on the  following:

Website claims free estimates. I guess the free part only starts after a $50 SERVICE CHARGE plus a  $75 TROUBLESHOOTING charge.  Charges apply to each visit.

According to CLD, a 2-phase, 100 Amp main panel circuit breaker costs around $500 + tax. I found one on Home Depot site for $66.

I had the tech unplug a circuit breaker from one line and plug it into the other. Touch time was 2 minutes (to be very generous). Charge was $189!!  I questioned the charge and was told that CLD had overhead' to cover.

I suggested cleaning corrosion off the main panel contacts and was told it could not be done. Only solution to my problem was to replace the entire panel at a price ranging from $6k to $8k.  
I later found an electrician who would clean the panel contacts for $250 and, if necessary, replace the panel for $4200.

I highly recommend Core Electric. Craig is responsive and reliable. Shane is also a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable. They've installed a sub panel in my garage and ran circuits to my pool pump outside. Shane came out on short notice to replace a bad breaker to my AC unit when it was over 100 degrees last summer. Big or small, Core is my go to electricians.

In the process of selling our house last August. We were referred to Jimmy. He came to make sure anything  electrical was up to code for the inspection.

The lady answering the phone is useless, rude and should be no where near anything to do with customer service. Xantrex said they were a warranty center, Xantrex also said they were in Carmichael, CA. These people are not. Aside from being rude they are running a scam with were they are located.

When calling Xantrex, Xantrex was great. Xantrex is pushing a fast return for us. By sending it back to the factory. As a small business we try to do all the business we can with other small businesses. Businesses with this attitude don't deserve your support. Joan is not nice or helpful.

I have been in business for 19 years as a handyman I do light electrical but anytime I have big jobs I always refer Doug. All of the people that I have referred  to him I have loved Doug and appreciate the referral. he has been in The electrical business his whole life and knows what he's doing but if you need a handyman don't hesitate to call me 858-229-1694  Matt I do all the things Doug don't LOL

I have had several different things done at my home with Ideal.  The last two times it was electrical work.  When the electrician came he had another gentlemen with him.  Said the job I needed done requires two.  When he started I understood that the job did require two people.  The only thing I was annoyed about was no one notified me that their were two people coming and that now I have to pay for two electricians.  Got over my feelings and paid for the services render.  I called ideal last week to send an electrican to hang a new chandelier.  I would have done it myself but afraid of the wire situation.  They came yesterday to hang it and once again two people came.  Is that standard that two electricans always come?  When asked he said that they just left a job that requires two people.  Ok, I can understand that.  When he wrote out my bill again I'm paying for two electricians that I know the job only calls for one.  I was livid.  Ideal try to get over on women and elderly all the time.  They have no morals.  I again paid for the services rendered but won't be going through ideal again for nothing else.  To hang a chandelier almost 300 bucks.  You have to be kidding me.
