Dwelling Electric

Purchased a Tesla Wall Connector for home charging and sent out a few requests for quotes. Since it was being installed in a smaller townhome, there would be a few extra steps done to our electrical to ensure it did not overload our system. While I ultimately went with Jeff because it was the most reasonable quote, his service was top notch. He explained everything clearly and responded quickly to any questions I thought of.

I have a few other items that need to be done around the house so I will definitely be reaching back out to Jeff because of my previous experience.

Great service. Jeff was great and responsive. Made true appointment on Yelp and he followed up before the appointment and gave an ETA about 1 hour in advance.

Jeff walked me through the process of installing my EV charger and made sure that it would not overload my townhome. He was fast and neat - and even helped with a couple of other projects that I had not initially mentioned.

Jeff is awesome to work with. He is super punctual, honest, transparent- great experience. I've gone through a few electricians trying to find some honest, fair work. Finally found Jeff and really happy with the work. He listened to our needs and came up with better solutions to save us a ton of money and yield even better results. Highly recommend.

Jeff is awesome. We are moving into a new house, so we needed him to do a ton of stuff for us. He quoted us quickly and fairly, and then he came out and spent an entire day at our place, just checking things off of our list. His work was thorough and clean. We appreciated his work so much that we will be having him back for another bundle of things this week. Highly recommend.

This was a tough decision for me. I have lived in my house for 6 years and have been able to repair most of the things in my house but I finally needed to get an electrician and after reading many reviews, I decided to go with Dwelling Electric. I am glad I did. Veteran owned business. Hands down a very friendly technician, who is also the owner. Quickly completed the job and cleaned up as well. Do not be frustrated with call backs. The business uses a call service. They were very responsive though. I had him out to the house within days. I will use them in the future as well.

Needed a track light and ceiling fan installed, as well as a fix to a problematic balcony light.  Jeff responded quickly and provided a few appointment options.  Efficient. Great at problem solving.  Proactive. Would definitely hire Jeff again.  Cost even came in lower than anticipated.  Bang for your money!

I was trying to get my place secure if fire hazardsfor any living being to occupy. He had other reasons other than its true your place is not to code he felt it necessary to bring in statements that had only to do with eeping myself occupied in teaching a lincensed person minutia. Like wtf who ever said my CONDO was lath and plaster? A 1969 bh building?! I just only get it if the people breaking in to my home and doing very strange things to my walls don't want any electrician to agree let alone point out the ways that people stalking and messing with permitted work  can really succeed in the way rains they tampered with your stuff in the first place.

This company is off.

In response to his lengthy response. I am glad he told me what all that mess was to correspond to all the broken windows and doors. 300 to 500 holes sometimes more than holes. Terrorizing, right?

Needed a few electrical things done around my place including replacing a box and making new outlet. Jeff showed up on time and did a great job. He has a ton of experience. The price he set was fair and within a budget. Will hire him again for future projects.

I contacted Jeff to install a NEMA 14-50 outlet for EV charging, and an external 110V for the backyard. During our initial talks he was very thorough about how he would install the outlets at their desired locations. He came over 2-days later and did an excellent job with the installation.
The 14-50 outlet was installed within the wall and he ran the wiring under the house. Everything looks clean and precise, you can tell he takes pride in his work.  The price was fair for the work he did. I would ask Jeff for his services again if something else comes up.

Dwelling Electric was great. Fast response, efficient, considerate, reasonably priced. I will ping them again when I need electrical work.

I've had problems since April and have been asking Jeff for advice. He's been very kind in giving me all the answers I needed and very patient. Finally we went through the job and he was very efficient! I appreciate his flexibility as well. Customer service was excellent! I definitely recommend these guys versus any one else, other electricians were not as thorough!!! I'm a happy,satisfied customer!

Jeff was super knowledgeable and helpful during the visit. We needed the coax cable relocated and he gave us various options on what he could do to get the end resulted we wanted. He was super thorough, friendly, and reasonably priced. Will definitely use him again for any future electric needs.

I initially reached out about an electrical issue happening my master bedroom. He was kind enough to give me some troubleshooting tips, but unfortunately the problem persisted. So we scheduled an appointment the following day.

He was super personable and arrived within a timely manner. I felt that his prices were reasonable and he was able to fix the problem (thankfully a minor issue).

Because I am getting ready to sell, and have thousands worth of renovations to do before listing, I decided to get multiple quotes for every aspect of the renovation. (painting, landscaping, plumbing, carpentry, etc.)

After doing research on several Electricians and getting multiple quotes for my scope of work, Jeff was an obvious choice for me. I actually could tell that Jeff was who I wanted for my rehab work through our first phone call. Off the bat you can tell that Jeff is extremely competent and knowledgeable, and it didn't take long into our conversation for me to understand he was intelligent. He was also very helpful. A lot of our conversation focused around educating me on identifying good subcontractors, different types of contracts and the legalities of each.

Although I had already knew off the bat (and scheduled Jeff), I decided to get other quotes just for my due diligence and reference points. The other electricians I met were either giving me outrageous quotes, or completely bloating my scope of work to increase how much they would make. Jeff on the other hand actually tried to grasp my ability and showed me multiple ways I could save money (by me either doing the work myself or educating me on what was necessary to impress buyers when selling a house.)  

When it was time to show up and do the work, Jeff was friendly, punctual, informative and completed his work in a timely manner. I highly recommend Jeff if you are looking for a QUALITY electrician. I will be recommending Dwelling Electric to my family and friends.

I needed help to repair and replace one old circuit breaker, which has been discontinued.
Jeff was very honest and communicative upfront to troubleshoot via picture and text, before making recommendations and quote to us.

I wanted a general electrical inspection for a home I just purchased. We walked through the home and Jeff thoroughly explained what work could be done, always giving me the choice if that was something I wanted to do. He worked efficiently given the amount of work to be done (multiple outlet/switch replacements, switch box replacement, removal of old electrical wires from previous light fixtures). After the recent downpour in Oceanside, several of our electrical outlets were not working, even after letting things dry out a bit. I requested quotes from 5 electricians--2 said they were not taking jobs now, one quoted $190.00, one said to call tomorrow (today is a Sunday), but Jeff called me within a couple hours. He said he could come over and take a look, but he suspected it was a simple fix, and told me what to do over the phone. He stayed on the phone with me for 15 minutes as I went from various rooms in my house, then to the outside, and finally into the garage, where the 'culprit' was located. He told me what to do to fix the problem, and all is now well. I will definitely use him for any future electrical needs.

When the electricity to our dishwasher in our kitchen island died, we called Dwelling and Jeff D came out to address the problem.  It proved to be a more difficult repair because someone had originally set up (or modified) the wiring in a weird way.  Eventually he got us back our electricity in the island, and then he proceeded to replace approximately 10 outlets in under an hour that were old and had loose connections.  Later we discovered that the repair had caused an outage in another outlet in the kitchen and he came back free of charge to fix the issue.  I sincerely appreciated his effort and time and I would trust him to do a great job again next time we have an issue.
