It's been about a month since I had work done with Carlsbad Electrical. I have been super busy with work, but i wanted to make sure I let any potential customers know that this company is amazing. I got a response quickly, and Josh was sent out the next day. Josh spent some time looking for the most cost-effective way to install an outdoor outlet, and he did an amazing job. Not only did he take the time to explain everything, but he went above and beyond what i had expected. You get what you pay for, and i wanted to find a local business, and Carlsbad Electrical will be my go-to for any problems I have. Very, very expensive. Use trial and error methods to troubleshoot electrical issues instead of experienced skills. This allows them to keep charging over and over for the same problem that a real tradesman would have identified and corrected the first time. Their strategy of making money is unethical and I would not recommend them. Sorry guys, but you know Im telling the truth.

Something at 5am went pop and took out the electricity in the front of our house. One would think, no big deal...the refrigerator, air conditioner and garage door still worked...however, in my house, it's a huge deal because the two rooms that were out are my husband's and son's computer rooms!
I called Carlsbad Electrical and left a message, Linden texted me back soon after. He told me he had an appointment available the same day and quoted me his fees. He arrived on time and was able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly. He charged exactly what he quoted.

Responsive. Thorough. Attentive. We were fortunate to have Ron come out and give us an estimate for some elective electrical projects we had been considering for our home. He arrived on time, listened to our requests and was able to educate us about the complexities of each project. We were not ready to start the more complex projects therefore we ultimately chose to start with a relatively simple project. Josh came to our home, on time and masterfully completed the replacement of our old fluorescent above the kitchen sink light with a new dimmable LED light. The pricing was reasonable and fair. We hope to use Carlsbad Electrical Services for our bigger and more complex projects in the near future. Highly recommended!

Major electrical issue with our circuit breaker and LCE,our usual company, just had a voicemail saying they weren't available for another month and call back then. What?!
Tried Carlsbad electrical and they could come out the next day. It was a decent size job and they were able to come to do it a day earlier which we were very grateful for. Ron was our electrician and he was very knowledgeable and efficient and had a lot of helpful hints. He took the extra time to go through all of the breakers with me and made sure everything was working perfectly before he left. It was obvious he knew exactly what he was doing and he took a lot of pride in his work.
Can't say enough about their professionalism and responsiveness.
They are now our go to guys.

I'm in the middle of a backyard remodel and needed some small things handled and larger advice for future projects. I got immediate response and they even scheduled a Friday afternoon inspection. Work was completed this week to install a outdoor plug and wiring for a electric gate. On time, clean, great communication. The even fixed an additional problem outlet (GFI went out) free of charge. I feel bad that I can't remember the electricians name that helped us with our electrical issue we were having with our subpanel. He was very kind, informative, knowledgeable, and quick. He explained to us what our current issue was, and fixed it in under an 30 minutes. He also took the time to explain the possible issues we may see in the future, yet was upfront about it not being something we needed to do asap. So, when the time comes that we may have to replace our subpanel we will absolutely be calling Carlsbad Electrical Services.

I wasn't happy that I needed an electrician, however, I was happy to have found Carlsbad Electrical Services.

I have hired Carlsbad Electrical Services twice. The first time I chose them because of good Yelp reviews and because they seemed like a good match for my needs. The second time I chose them because I was so pleased with the work they did. I plan to hire them again after we pick out some lighting fixtures for our bedroom.

Let's talk about price first. This is not a low-budget electrical service. Their prices are not bargain-basement. I've hired electricians many times in many cities over the last 45 years, and I've done my own electrical work in cities where codes permit that. I'd rate their prices slightly higher than average across all of my experience, but well worth it. I am happy to pay fair prices for top-quality work, and their work is absolutely top quality.

One brief anecdote can illustrate why I want a master electrician and not someone who is just starting out. The first time I hired them, one of the things that I needed was to have an electrical outlet installed on the back wall of a bathroom so that I could install a Toto Washlet toilet, which needs to be plugged in. The electrician from Carlsbad Electrical Services discovered that the wall in which I wanted the outlet installed contained various pipes and older wires, and had to work to find a spot where the outlet could be put and wires run successfully to it inside the wall. He spent about half an hour exploring the inside of the wall and eventually found a location to put the new outlet that would comply with the electrical code but not threaten or damage what was already there. A less experienced electrician would have cut a hole for the outlet, discovered that there was stuff in the way, and then kludged something and maybe not even told me about it. Or maybe put the outlet in a strange place that didn't comply with the electrical code and hope I wouldn't mind.

Today's electrician didn't just have experience and skill, he had brains. As we discussed what he did today and why he did it, the logic behind his decisionmaking was quite complex and well informed. And he was very good at communicating all of this to me. He even fixed a mistake that some prior electrician had made in one room (a 15-amp receptacle on a 20-amp circuit).

I always like to hire local businesses. But I think that if I moved to Poway or Fallbrook and wanted an electrician, I would still call Carlsbad Electrical Services first (not sure they would take a job that far away).

I am kicking myself in the behind because I cannot recall the electrician's name who came and fixed our issues but he was phenomenal, courteous, fast, and explained what he was doing so I understood.

He arrived right on time and went straight to work. I walked him around to show him where the four issues were. When he resolved the first issue, he mentioned questionable electrical work from the previous owners, explained the reasoning, and suggested we repair the broken switch that was made up of two gang units to a single. I agreed.

The time it took to fix four issues was less than an hour. I appreciated the work done so fast (I didn't expect or demand it as I work from home now) and I didn't even notice that he had fixed the patio light since I never heard him around the house while I was working.

The estimate came out to exactly what was told over the phone with the exception of the additional work of fixing the two gang to single box.

I also enjoyed the fact that I could pay via electronic payment using Venmo instead of writing a check or using cash. Extremely efficient, convenient, and easy.

I am looking forward to having the rest of the house upgraded using Carlsbad Electrical Services. I felt the prices were extremely fair especially experiencing the ease and quality of work that was performed.

I had several GFCI's that were out and a bad outlet, all needed replacement. I can replace GFCI's and outlets myself, but these circuits were pretty tricky to figure out. Linden solved the puzzle and had us up and running again in no time.

Ron and Hunter were very professional, knowledgable, and thorough. Ron explained the multiple issues with our panel (overloaded, not to code, etc.) and what it would take to correct everything. They spent about 5 hours sorting everything out and before leaving ensured that everything was working correctly and properly labeled on the panel. They have given me peace of mind that our electrical issues have been resolved correctly and safely. They will be the first ones I call for any future electrical work around my house.

Linden was prompt and hopefully fixed my electrical problem the next day. My issue was the quote vs. the bill. He quoted me a price of $175 for the job. It took him and hour and 15 minutes. He then gave me the bill for $425.

i told you 15 minutes into the job that it would be about 225 more. This was not the case. He never told me the adjusted price until he presented me with the bill.

If you had an issue with the prices you should have told me on the Spot. I did (he cut the price by $25). I should have stood my ground, but didn't.

I highly recommend Carlsbad Electrical Services. We had a few interior and exterior outlets and two lights that either weren't working or only intermittently. Linden (the owner) responded promptly to my request on Yelp, and was able to quickly give me a fair estimate online and schedule an appointment for the next day. Josh came to my house right on time, and within about an hour fixed all of my electrical problems and answered a couple of other pestering electrical questions I had. First off I would like to say a huge thank you to Ron and Hunter for being complete gentleman and knowing their stuff. I initially spoke to the owner of the company, Linden, and I was happy to get a quick appointment for them to come out to my house. I had several projects that I knew could not be completed without a professional. I had a burnt out lights in the kitchen and garage and also needed a light source deadened and capped on a now removed carport. Ron and Hunter came out on a Monday and looked over the projects that needed to be done and gave me fair estimate. The light in the garage was a fluorescent one and they needed to replace it with an LED and they were going to install a security light where we were originally going to cap off the initial source. They started working in the kitchen and we hit a major snafu within the first 10 minutes. The people who originally installed the canned lighting in the kitchen, did not actually do canned lighting. They had installed a socket to a piece of metal and then screwed it to the support beam. It was the same for both the lights so Ron offered me a deal for rewire and new lights, he said that he would have to come back tomorrow because there was nothing they could do today without the proper equipment. They came out the next day ready to work. We hit more snags with my electrical box as the people who removed the carport blew the breaker, which lead into a discussion about replacing all the top breakers of the box because it looks really shoddy. Ron gave me a great deal and we continued on with all the projects. Everything that they installed looks amazing. I am so very happy with the work that they did and I recommend them to anyone that needs any electrical work done.

Had a great experience today with these guys! I called this morning to check on availability and get a quote. Got on the calendar for the following day (tomorrow) but to my surprise there was a change in schedule and they were able to come today! Linden and Josh are awesome and I highly recommend using them for any and all of your electrical needs! Having recently purchased a townhouse that hadn't been updated since the 1970s, I needed a variety of electrical work done for both safety and modernization reasons. Linden was quick to respond to my initial contact email and was then super thorough when discussing all of the options I had for the work I needed done. He and Josh arrived promptly over two separate days and did some amazing work, to include updating my breaker panel and installing an outlet in my garage for a 32v car charger. Best of all, their prices were extremely competitive and fair.

These guys are top notch electricians and in general just friendly and great guys to deal with. I'll definitely have them back in the future for all of my electrical work.

These guys are top notch. Reached out to Linden on a Sunday as an outlet in my kitchen started sparking in my old home - def. a fire risk. He and his team were able to accommodate my crazy work schedule, and once on scene, Ron dealt quickly with the rogue outlet, and tested all of them to ensure they were safe. Found out the other 2 would likely start sparking soon, so he replaced those as well for what I believe was a fair price.

The day after Thanksgiving we had an issue with our breaker panel. Linden called back within 10 minutes of my call and had an electrician onsite that day. There was great communication via text on both the work that was to be done, the estimated cost, and the arrival time. Ron had us up and running within an hour. Ron took the time to explain the issues that we had and explained additional work that could be done to avoid additional issues in the future without pressuring us to do the work that day. We ended up having them come back in two days and had them replace all the electrical outlets and light switches plus the recommendations that he had suggested. I just moved to Carlsbad and needed a few electrical issues fixed and troubleshooted. Linden came out the day after I called to look at an issue we were having with an outlet in our backyard and was quickly able to diagnose the problem. He also quoted us a fair price for the various other issues we had. A couple of days later, one of his crew members came out to install ceiling fan remotes, switch out some old breakers on our circuit board, update our outside outlets to be GFI protected and to swap out our front porch light. All of this was done quickly and the quality was excellent. We will definitely call Linden and his team up the next time we need electrical work done!

Last night we experienced an unforeseen incident with our electricity in our garage. For some reason, we lost power to 2 outlets, but others within the garage and any other outlets on the same breaker were functioning properly, to include the breakers and GFCIs. To say the least, with fish tanks in the home, we needed an electrician last night, but were forced to jury-rigged a set up to keep the tanks running. We called Carlsbad Electrical Services this morning and spoke and met with Linden who diagnosed and fixed the issue in about 1 hr.
Linden is a very professional and personable person. Easy to speak to and took the time to explain the details of what the issue was at hand and what was needed to fix the electrical problem. An excellent electrician, honest, upfront! and very affordable. If you looking for an electrician, I highly recommend Linden of Carlsbad Electrical Services. I will definitely contact him again if I need any electrical repairs or additions.

I hired Linden to install 240vt outlet to charge our new Tesla Model X in the garage. His price was more than fair, communication was fantastic and he arrived on time. Ron came to our house and went above and beyond to ensure that our mobile home outlets were up to code. Linden was the owner was quick to respond and reasonable with his price quote. Shortly after we purchased our home, we realized that there were many quirky upgrades the previous owners had done. Mainly with electrical.

So when our entryway chandelier decided to only work intermittently, I called Linden and left a vmm.

He got right back to me, asked me a handful of questions and then we booked a time. He stayed in contact throughout the day as his schedule changed by 15min. I wish everyone who was 15min late would give a heads up.

He then found the issue quickly and despite the aforementioned tendencies to improve by prior owners, Linden got it working again and figured out the root issue and then he sourced someone to come address.

World class service. 10/10 recommend.

These folks were quick and responsive via Yelp messaging, and after discussing our problem with our electrical outlet a bit online, they offered to send someone over the following morning, which was great as this was somewhat urgent... we were worried our malfunctioning outlet was a big fire hazard. They were able to come early (gave me a call first to make sure it was ok), were very polite and courteous. Got the job done quickly, and we were good to go. Now we can literally sleep peacefully tonight!

We needed at 240V outlet installed in our garage and were referred to Carlsbad Electrical Services by a colleague who had a great experience with them. Linden and his team were awesome. They responded to my initial inquiry in less than 30 minutes and asked for photos of our electrical panel. The quote was back within a couple of hours and was more than competitive. The work was completed 2 business days after initial contact. Absolutely incredible. They were readily accessible via text message, easy to work with, flexible and considerate. Linden was immediately responsive and helpful here on Yelp. I made an appointment and had him install a new light fixture, add a new 20A line and socket, and replace other sockets. If I could rate them 10 stars out of 5 I would! Linden and his team are absolutely amazing! To begin with Linden offered to price match another estimate I had. And immediately, based on how kind and real he was, I hired him. He was so fast to respond, quick to schedule us, and hard-working. And despite the job taking longer than expected (it was more difficult that Linden had expected) he didn't change the price on me or show any frustration! And his team-just as awesome as Linden! I've called CES on multiple occasions to do work in my house. Linden is always extremely courteous and the work is always thorough and well done. They've helped me out with larger electrical wiring issues for overhead lighting and ceiling fans, as well as smaller projects. I've also called when wiring shorted out in my kitchen and I needed it fixed asap! Linden is always responsive and efficient. Wow.....I can't say enough positive things about them. I had them come out yesterday to do just a simple install of a fan and fan remote....and they did a terrific job! Showed up EARLY...who does that anymore. Communication over text was PERFECT & painless before hand. They were both super professional looking....nice...friendly....and very skilled. Linden and his team have worked on a few projects in our new home. I was so worried that the electrical system in our home was not safe when we first moved in, and I wanted a professional to come and take a look at everything in the home. We could not be more happier - these guys looked at everything I was worried about, they replaced the things that needed to be replaced, some CGI outlets and reassured me about everything else. They replaced our circuit breakers, rewired our attic lighting, installed some USB point covers, put up a new chandelier (that looks just like the death star, really cool) installed track lighting, corridor lighting. We have more work to get done and we will be calling them soon!

I actually had a hanging light fixture that people hit their head on in my house, and I left it for years because I couldn't find a good electrician...and then I found Linden! He does quality work, he is super friendly and reliable. One time I had a small issue after he had been at our hose and he gladly came back to look at it/fix it in a timely manner. I am not normally one to write reviews but these guys did a fantastic job and were very competitive in pricing.

I researched and contacted a number of local electricians (big and small) to complete a number of electrical tasks at my home, including installing a plug for an electric vehicle, updating my entire electric box, landscape lighting and fixing other small electrical malfunctions.

Carlsbad Electrical Services were the most responsive and knew exactly what they were talking about. They showed up on time and completed the tasks to perfection - and within the time-frame estimated.

I continue to contact them for any electrical work that comes up and their service is great every time.

Reached out to Carlsbad Electrical via Yelp and Linden responded within a couple hours - after business hours no less. He was able to fit me into his schedule the next day. Communication was clear, and he (and Josh) were very nice. They replaced a couple of outlets, rewired some of my landscape lighting, replaced a couple landscape light fixtures, and a couple other things. Work was completed quickly and with no surprises or problems. It wasn't the biggest project in history, but I will use Carlsbad Electrical again for any future needs, and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Linden responded to my inquiry in less than thirty minutes. He was able to troubleshoot and fix my GFCI issue in less than a minute and fixed five outlets. Linden and partner were the best. I recently had string lights hung above my pool, but had to plug in an extension cord to get them to light. I called Carlsbad Electrical Services and arranged an appointment for them to install an interior light switch. Linden was on time and within a short time a two way switch was installed which controlled not only the strings lights, but a separate switch for a sensor light. I am very happy and will use them again!

Linden has done work for us twice in the past. The first job was to install an outlet on our outdoor patio. So, the day after Christmas, at 6am, my 93 year old Dad's electricity went out and he had no heat. It was in the 40s and freezing in his home. I contacted an electrician we had used before and he advised me that he was on vacation. I looked on Yelp and found Carlsbad Electrical Services who had 5 stars and noted a quick response time. At 9 am I called and Dennis answered on the 2nd ring. He listened to the situation and offered to come for sure by 11 am or sooner if he could reschedule another appointment. He arrived at 10:22 assessed the situation, and had the heat on around 11:00. He reviewed the electrical in the house and made a few, thoughtful recommendations. Dennis provided a detailed estimate before beginning work. They are very professional and they will be my first call in the future for any electrical needs.
