Greetings Austin! Looking for an electrician to install and assemble your chandelier at a really affordable cost? Look no further - Malco Electric is legit.

I evaluated and received a number of quotes from several electricians in the Austin area before deciding on Malco Electric, which Ended up being the best decision ever! Cody and his team were responsive, on time, worked efficiently and provided great pricing. Jimmie was also super responsive to my questions about their service and they were all honest and down to earth.

Initially, I was very nervous about who was going to install my very large, heavy, glass chandelier that I spent several thousand dollars on and took months before it was delivered. When the chandelier finally arrived in came in a million pieces and I was concerned who was going to be able to put it together. Cody and his team worked together and successfully assembled/installed the chandelier within 3 hours and it turned out beautifully! These guys are great.  Chuck and Carlito added two new ceiling lights for us and did a great job.  They put down drop cloths to catch any drywall dust, spent a lot of time measuring and double checking locations, and the lights came out perfect.  Glad to have found an electrician who takes the time to do the job right the first time.

We had Grayzer out to run some wire in our bathroom for a new vanity light and an extra switch to turn the overhead light/fan on separately. Jeff was extremely polite, showed up on time, worked quickly, and came in below his original estimate . From my experience, I highly recommend them.

Did Estimate through email and set everything up in a few hours. Came out earlier then he said and did everything great! Super happy with communication and speed and quality!

Dustin was recommended to me by my hair stylist. I needed to replace an entry light and a pendent light over the bar.  The day before the job was scheduled Dustin called to confirm what was to be done and the arrival time. Dustin and his helper Joshua arrived on time and completed the task without a hitch. I commend both of them on their professional demeanor and great  customer service...My new light fixtures look great. Thanks guys!

I had an outlet burn up in my kitchen and had 3 different electricians either not show up or send me outrageous quotes. I contacted Brightside through their website and they responded promptly with a quote that seemed appropriate.
2 guys came out and they were ridiculously fast and thorough! My house was a hot ass mess from Christmas projects and cooking experiments from that week (like I would've NEVER had anybody over looking the way it was) and they didn't even bat an eye having to move crumbs and dishes off the countertops and whatnot. I was asking them a million questions because I had installed a bunch of lights myself and they never replied in a condescending tone or made me feel bad for not hiring a pro. This is really rare and as a female- it's what prompted me to write this review. I own a business and have had to deal with a lot of electricians, plumbers, contractors etc over the years and so many times they treat me like I have no idea what I'm doing or talking about and shame me for attempting to fix anything myself. These guys were the opposite, they explained what caused the outlet to burn (I did not install it, btw haha) and went into great depth explaining all the possible scenarios while troubleshooting the entire picture vs that one outlet. Including my appliances. The entire time they were explaining, they were also working so fast. They did stuff to all the outlets in my kitchen, checked a few in other areas to make sure the problem was only in the kitchen and added a gfci plug in my kitchen... in roughly 30 minutes!! They also suggested an inexpensive device I could buy myself at Lowe's for future projects and to check every outlet in my house. They offered to do it for me but my house is like a construction/project zone and I wanted to get everything put away to be able to get to all the outlets. I bought the device and checked them all myself afterwards and now I'm sleeping soundly knowing the problem was contained in the kitchen.

Additionally- they showed up wearing masks and didn't try to take them off or fiddle with them the entire time. I was really grateful for that.

I'll feel so excited to finally have an electrician I can depend on for future projects at home and my business. Especially a team of them who seem to really care and aren't lallygagging around in an attempt to charge you the most money.

Scott is awesome! He gave options that saved money. Excellent work and did it very quickly. He wired my tiny house to the main house. Awesome job!!!

Thank you Raymond for the extremely quick service and responsiveness. We had a small job for a patio fan replacement and ring doorbell installation and glad we found this company to help. I get so nervous with larger companies wanting to upsell and really just needed someone reliable, honest and available. Appreciate the care and professionalism you have and will definitely ask for help again on another electrical project when we have one. Wow! When Austin Energy came out to replace my electric meter they immediately shut my power off and flagged the meter box as being unsafe. In 2015 ATT UVerse had hit a transformer on my lawn and the meter box had been damaged during Austin Energy's 7 hours of excavation that went into the night.
I used Yelp, bypassed the sponsored results (sorry, Yelp), and called Ratpor at 11:33 am, based on the consistently positive feedback here.
I sent Luis photos and he worked all day with me as well as with Austin Energy, got the necessary permits, was willing to loan me a generator for the night as it looked like all the work and red tape would stretch till tomorrow. But the guys were great and waited for Austin Energy to wrap up together. When the power came on at 5:28 pm, I was ecstatic and Luis and I were hyped on SMS I'm so glad for you! He still has some permit work tomorrow, let me know that he would take care of it as it would likely go smoothly.
I guess this sounds like a recommendation.

Miguel responded within 15 mins of my Yelp request, and his team came by the next day to work on landscape lighting. He kept me informed with emails and texts. He responded quickly to my questions.

Responsive at getting a quote and prices were super reasonable compared to other electricians I contacted. We had them install a chandelier and 3 pendant lights which look amazing! They also found and fixed an issue that the previous owner of the home created by wiring their own lights which would have been horrible to figure out on our own and it was all fixed really quickly. Great team, highly recommend

Highly recommend.  Prompt communication from them and even worked around my schedule to come out to install a power outlet.  Local businesses you can count on.  Quick to get it done once he got it started.

Maury has become our go-to electrician for projects big and small. He's honest, reliable and does quality work! He does book out, but always worth the wait.

Had Dan out on an unusual job -- to install an electric winch on my garage ceiling for hard top removal on my '95 SL320... probably can't tell from the photo but this is a heavy piece of gear that needs to be lag bolted (dead center) to the ceiling joist... Dan did a great job in short order and time left over to do an LED replacement of a florescent ceiling fixture in the garage.

Dan was on time, got the jobs done ahead of schedule and was a pleasure to work with...
