Hello my name is Louis Rivera we are a family owned business , local, and independent. I was born and raised here in Austin, Tx. My mission is to make sure that our customers are satisfied when we leave , and guarantee our work 100%.I have over 16 years of electrical experience. I began my trade as a Apprentice Electrician , then got my Wireman and moved up to Journeyman, and now Master Electrician. After many years of working with other electrical companies and contractors I feel that I could best serve Central Texans by offering quality workmanship, integrity and fair pricing by leaving out the middle man.

Rosalinda, the boss's wife just emailed me a copy of a really old invoice and then called me and accused me of not paying an invoice from work that was done a year and a half ago. I told her I pay all my bills immediately. She asked well how did you pay us then? I said I don't remember. She has the audacity to reply with an attitude You don't remember? Like I am stupid or something for not remembering something that happened a year and a half ago! Do you remember what you ate for lunch 2 weeks ago? Exactly. Like it's my job to keep receipts for years and years and know off the top of my head how I paid every single vendor in the last two years.
Word of advice if you use these people, make sure you pay them by check, and keep a copy of that check forever. Because Rosalinda may call you two to three years later talking 'bout you owe us money!
And guess what? If you don't have proof you paid her she can easily put a lien on your house until you finally pay her for something you already paid her for.
I've used this family company twice now. They are reliable, professional, friendly, and very reasonably priced. What amazes me most, though, is a human being answered the phone at 7 am (weekday) when I expected to leave voicemail, and I had someone at my house by noon the same day. They do emergency work on weekends.

Did not show up at all for our set appointment. I would not hire someone unreliable, they may not finish the job once started and paid for.
I am so so glad that we hired L&R electric. They came and installed three ceiling fans for us upstairs. When they went to install them none of them were up to code. Which isn't shocking because the previous owners of our home were do it themselves types of people and cut corners.
With a new baby on the way having everything up to code was vital to me and I knew that the changes were made safely for our son.
They also installed a generator outlet for us and new panel. This was so important to me because we went five days without water and power last year during the storm, and we will have a newborn during that time. They did an amazing job and the price was perfect. Of course there were some surprises, but they explained everything and were able to work with us on price the best they could. I will be hiring them for projects in the future!

We had a couple folks come out and try and run Ethernet hook ups in our house unsuccessfully. These guys came out and knocked it out for us. Friendly and nice guys. Very responsive to messages also. Definitely recommend!
Amazing job and even better customer experience!
I used Yelp to ask for a quote to have a ceiling fan installed and a light fixture in our dining room. Louis responded within an hour and with a competitive quote which I really appreciated. In my experience other contractors try to come out to scope the project and then try a hard pressure sale on the spot in person.
Louis sent a crew out the following day. They were very professional. I appreciate the care they took in taking their shoes off, and being careful moving ladders throughout the house.
After they finished the job, they alerted me that the ceiling fan would need to be at an angle because of the pitch angle in my ceiling. So not parallel to the ground. I bought the wrong fan - this was totally on me.
Louis' crew was very helpful to spring into action and explain to me a few options to fix it. That night I ran to Home Depot to buy a $10 adapter to fix it. Louis then offered to send his crew back the following day to fix it free of charge!! Blown away by this level of customer support !

These guys were great. They arrived on time and very efficient. Got 2 fans and a new vanity light installed.
Showed up the next day, gave me an honest quote and even told me that my situation wasn't what all the others were telling me to do ($5000+) and he can fix it that next afternoon for $200!! Saved me so much time, money and I truly feel like he was looking out for my best interest. Honest electricians are truly what we need. I highly suggest using them if you want to have someone you can trust isn't up selling you!

Asked if I had electricity. I told them I did, so it wasn't an emergency, but they came out the same day I called.
I had an entire circuit go out on my circa 70's house full of aluminum wiring. Luis showed up, went through the panel, then trouble shooting. I was prepared to upgrade panel or at least replace breaker in an old original panel. But Luis found it was a scorched receptacle that was the wrong type for aluminum wire, and incorrectly installed by my brother in-law. So that when it fried it took out the rest of the circuit. Found and fixed it all, in couple of hours, and charged me way less than I thought I was going to end up spending. I am getting an estimate from him to go ahead and upgrade panel, because I want to, not because he pressured me in any way. Easy to communicate with, and great work done in a very timely manner, for good price.... that's three outta three!! I have a trusted electrician in Austin now. Thanks Ya'll, L&R came through.
After spending what felt like 4 years without leaving the house in 2020, we realized extra outlets would make things a lot easier on us. We wanted one outside, two in the garage and one in the living room to hide all the tv cords our quarantine puppy seems to love to chew on. We got a few quotes and out of all of them, we liked Luis's solutions the best. His pricing was really competitive and he was able to schedule us within the week. He finished the work today and so far, so good! We're planning on hiring him again to install landscape lighting.
I had a electrician out very quickly to give me a quote, high $300 to mid $400 for a new outlet for a welder. Once the official quote came in, it was actually in the high $300's... that made me happy.
They were out the next day to install the outlet and did a good job. The tech did have to make a couple of trips to Home Depot for parts (he didn't come out in a company vehicle) and he did forget to seal the exterior opening... minus 1 star.
But the price and turn around time negates those issues and I'm giving 5 stars for the price, quick scheduling and the actual outlet installation.
I sealed the opening myself just out of convenience but they did offer to come back and do it.
We've used L&R twice. Very responsive, reasonably priced, and did exactly what they said. It's nice to be able to count on them!
What an amazing company! I was thrilled with the response time, the technician, and Rosalinda who scheduled us so quickly. Our technician arrived earlier than expected and quickly identified the problem and fixed it as best he could (bad wiring.) We will absolutely hire them again - extremely impressed!
I needed an electrician to run & bury wire, about 100' worth, plus add some outlets for pumps, lights & etc.
Yelp asked if I wanted to send the request for bids to multiple firms and I clicked yes.
The bid went to five electrical contractors.
The first to respond was L & R Electric, and they were available the next day, to assess the job and prep a bid.
Out of 5, 1 firm never responded, two more made appointments and came to assess & bid.
One guy was pure upsell, another was not highly experienced.
But L & R showed up on time, was wearing a mask, was courteous, professional. Over the next couple of days, Louis was VERY communicative, sent me a bid, and came in under the other firms large and small.
After awarding them the bid, two men came the next morning, got right after the job, and completed it the same day, cleaning up after themselves. Tino & Jerry were a great pair, friendly and very conscientious.
Tino looked at the electrical panel & determined it was maxed out, & actually over-burdened. We decided it needed to be upgraded. This is not uncommon for a 37 year old house, so we approved the upgrade.
All in all, it could not have gone any smoother, nor could everybody at L&R been any more pleasant to deal with than they were.
I recommend them without any reservations.

Absolutely wonderful experience! They came out immediately to take a look at my project, provided me with an estimate and they scheduled me the next day. In addition to being quick and efficient, they took the time to explain some existing issues and correct them. I've already used them again on a small project and they will be my first call for any electrical needs!!!
Super responsive and did everything right! Arrived on time and hung our two Jew light fixtures beautifully. One was a large chandelier that needed scaffolding to hang. I highly recommend L&R.
L&R sent an electrician and apprentice. They diagnosed a doorbell/camera/wiring problem and fixed it without any drywall destruction or fancy expensive gadgets. Considering them for a new project after this repair.
I needed two ceiling fans and a light fixture installed, so I looked around on Yelp for licensed electrical contractors. L&R responded quickly to my request for an estimate and showed up promptly at the time promised. The price was great, and the electricians were very professional. I didn't anticipate one of the ceiling fans being so complicated to assemble, but the electricians put it together in a snap. I'll definitely be using L&R in the future. Thanks!

Great team (Louis and Rosalinda) and great service.
Initial concerns leading to this particular call:
*No power in one of our bathrooms
*Non-responsive outdoor flood light
*Dead (or sometimey) outlets in the kitchen and two other rooms
* Overall electrical condition of our new, older, home
I reached out and was scheduled by Mrs. Rosalinda quickly for my growing list of electrical concerns. It literally seemed like one thing after another was cutting off or going out: power inside, power outside, and no amount of flipping breakers was making a difference.
Mr. Louis and assistant arrived, smiles on their masked faces (you can tell by the eyes) and immediately got to work. They checked for power all over the home, inside and out, and asked questions, which I like. They were thorough because even though the fancy current gadget showed power, they noticed our microwave failed to work in the same outlet. They did additional investigation, identified and and fixed the problem, once and for all.
They also replaced a finnicky island outlet and replaced our kitchen ceiling bulbs which have been in disorder for some time.
Mr. Louis went on to add that if any problems continued to occur, to not hesitate in calling back.
Final diagnosis, the overall wiring in the home does not need to be replaced, but we would do well to swap out a few old surge protectors.
So, without hesitation I'll continue to use and recommend L&R. They're the full package, reliable, responsive, honest and best of all, they know what they're doing.
As I look at my service specialty list, I can say: Electricians...check.
L & R got back to me right away with a fair quote. I needed 2 ceiling fans and a light installed in the kitchen. I appreciated their flat job rate rather than hourly.
The technicians arrived right on time, and did excellent work while wearing a mask the entire time.
I called and Louis came out on the same day. He was quick, efficient, kind, and did not take advantage of my lack of knowledge about electrical issues. I don't think I could have asked for a better experience. Thank you to you and your team.

Some outlets were popping the GFCI and tripping breakers in my kitchen. I wanted the problem solved quickly so I could proceed with a remodel already in progress. L&R responded through Yelp in literally 5 minutes and a technician was at my house for a free consultation about 30 min later. They quoted me a fair price and were able to return a couple of hours later that same day. Job was done in 40 min. Would definitely hire L&R again.
I called on a Saturday night after my AC stopped working and seemed to be an electrical problem. They told me to check the fuse and they were correct. I just want to say how appreciative I am of the friendliness and willingness to help me out. Saved me so much money and a sleepless night with two small kids. Thanks again!!

Tino installed a chandelier, pendant lights, and dimmer switches in my new home. He was prompt and did a great job. I will definitely use L&R again.
Fast, fair, and efficient. What more could you ask for? They installed a security flood light on my house and it looks and works great. Would highly recommend for anyone needing electrical work.
My dryer suddenly stopped working due to a shorted wire and malfunctioning outlet. L & R came to the rescue and even replaced the plug to the dryer with an extra trip the tech made to Home Depot. The cost was higher than originally quoted but for same day service and an excellent job, I give them 4/5 stars and would call them again!

We couldn't be happier with the work and service we received from Louis and his staff. Had to repair a garage outlet and install a Ring floodlight. Fast service and fair pricing.
This is the 3rd time I have hired this company for electrical needs. I was in a major bind and behind schedule on a remodel, and Louis came to the rescue to clean up what another electrician had neglected to be a professional and perform. Quoted 5 different licensed electricians, they were the lowest rate, quickest availability, and great service answering all my questions.
Had 3 ceiling fans installed in my home.
The prices were the best from the dozens of other electricians I talked to. The service was unbelievable quick and easy. The electricians came in and finished within a couple of hours and answered all questions I had, professionals.
The front office was great, accommodated to my schedule and answered all questions I had.
Would definitely recommend L&R to anybody that needs any electrical installation done to their homes.

L&R installed an outlet in my garage on a day's notice. The job required a length of metal conduit which fits perfectly and is rock-solid along with the outlet. Louis is a pleasure to deal with and will be my go-to for any future electrical needs.
They swindled me left and right on price and their installation still doesn't work. First they said they'd do two light switch installations for $150. But then when they needed an extra day to do it they quoted me $95 each so $190. Even at this higher price they weren't able to correctly install the 4 way switch. I literally had to hold the technicians hand the whole time and show him how to do it. And still he got it wrong. I'm gonna bite the bullet and replace it myself. They also installed 3 outlets which ultimately were not even placed at the spot I asked for. Overall they charged me $600. Way overpriced for such amateur work. Normally Id let it slide to support small local businesses but their customer service is also extremely bad. They wanted to charge me an extra $12 for credit card fees without first informing me. I had to fight them on the phone to get it reversed. Also I've been waiting 2 weeks for them to give me quote for a camera install. They don't even have the decency to return messages or emails regarding it. There are a boat load of electricians in Austin so explore your options!
L&R was able to come out to my property on 3 separate occasions within several hours notice each time when I had issues (I have an old property built in 1940). They were able to address the issues promptly, professionally, and were very affordable. Would call these guys again for sure if I ever have any issues and would recommend them to anyone who needs service. 5 stars for sure.

L&R was WONDERFUL! I needed 4 fans installed in my townhouse, and Louis and Simon were done in only two hours! Everything was absolutely perfect. They were professional, kind, and extremely efficient! Louis was available for install the next day I contacted him. He even came to my home the day before for a free consultation! The end result was excellent- 4 ceiling fans that don't rattle at all! They cleaned everything up and even took their shoes off to walk on the carpet.
On top of their wonderful service, this was by far the BEST price you can get. I was getting quotes for DOUBLE what Louis charged... I strongly recommend this local company!

Just moved into a new house and had some new fixtures, fans, dimmers and lighting to install. I was pretty picky about what I wanted and Louis and his crew went the extra mile (literally) to find the exact thing and got it installed. Can't say enough about the customer service from L & R. And they were just nice to work with! Would definitely recommend them to anyone--
Luis showed up the same day I requested a quote through Yelp. He offered a free estimate and upon arrival was able to complete not only the work I had initially called him for but two other projects. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. I will definitely use him again on future projects. I recommend him highly.
Needed recessed lighting so I called them up. They showed up. They said they were going to call back with a quote and never heard back from them even after reaching out through phone and Yelp.
Had some GFCI outlets in the kitchen go bad-16 years old, so it was time. Louis was able to come out same day, troubleshoot and replace two outlets for $193. Fast service, great value. Can't beat it! I'd call Louis again for anything electrical at my house!

I will use L&R again and will recommend them to neighbors. I messaged 6 electricians through the Yelp and L&R answered all of my questions promptly and offered a free estimate as well as same day installation. The estimate was less than all of the other companies. Louis removed a can light and installed a chandelier and changed the light switch to a dimmer in an hour. He was professional, friendly and cleaned up after himself. We are very pleased!!!
Contacted L&R Electric to replace some light fixtures, Louis was able to go the same day and get it taken care of! Overall great experience!
Louis is a stand up guy. Great people, great work & great follow through. He did a great job from fixing my 1967 breaker box and bringing into 2019
Loius was excellent!! He responded right away, scheduled an appointment very quickly and was very punctual. On top of doing excellent work, he cane back after my request to install a different rod a week later and didn't charge a penny. Highly recommend and will definitely hire him in the future.

I highly recommend these guys! They did a great job removing a chandelier in our dining room and replacing it with a new light. They also assembled the new light for me. They were very professional and courteous and friendly. Plus, their price was lower than many competitors. We have been searching for a good electrician and will definitely use them in the future.
