I specialize in high quality installation, assembly and repair of most anything in and around homes and businesses. I do quality work, and make myself available for same and/or next day services. I repair: Rotted and broken door frames, chewed window/baseboard trim, drywall holes (and texture), door holes, fallen closet shelves/bars, bowing cabinet bottoms, wooden gates, fence panels, emergency fallen fence panels... I build: Extra wood/MDF shelving for pantries, laundry rooms, and closets. Sometimes the builder doesn't give you enough. Dan arrived right on time with all the tools he needed, took a few minutes to review our request and make sure he was clear on what needed to be done, then got right to work. He was very precise, everything was perfectly level and plumb, and he took the time to explain what he was doing and answer all my questions while he worked. He even took some time to fix a curtain rod hun incorrectly by task rabbit and didn't change us anything for it. His rates were very fair given the high quality of work.
TLDR, Dan installed several curtain rods for us, hung several very large pictures, and even fixed some poorly done work from task rabbit. Highly recommended for any handy man work 10/10.

What a find!
Our neighbor recommended Dan to us and he deserves a gold medal for installing our smart wifi ceiling fan.
Our fan had a malfunction on installation and Dan patiently stuck by us while we waited a few weeks for two parts to be sent to us (one which Lamps Plus forgot to send and it had to be reordered).
Needless to say Dan was fast, courteous and went above and beyond. He even tried to help us figure out the wifi settings when the fan's tech support team failed.
Once our parts arrived Dan had to come back a second time and he tried to charge me solely for the initial trip fee. We refused and tipped him extra. He was the glue that held this project together and we hope to hire him again, if he will have us nightmare clients.
This fan was a Christmas present and we are glad it's finally complete. Thank you, Dan!

I hired Dan to raise a very heavy low handing chandelier that required some ingenuity to accomplish. He was on time, knew what he was doing and very pleasant. I would absolutely hire Dan again.
Dan has been our favorite handyman. He's efficient and quick to resolve any issues, big or small. We recently had our AC air duct cleaned, the air stopped flowing. Dan came out and figured out the air vents were closed. These were old fashioned pop up vents that are not commonly seen. But he fixed them by popping them all back up and open. Dan is more than just a handyman, and he is the best. He helped me set up my IKEA furniture, from the easiest pieces to the hardest. We even had to build my IKEA wardrobe standing up because of the ceiling height. Seriously, you'll be amazed at how much he can do and how easy he makes it look. This man is a true professional in customer service.
Someone here said he wouldn't do a job because it didn't pay enough? Are you kidding me? Okay. I'm a teacher. I am single and didn't have someone to help me pack up my classroom or unpack it again at the beginning of the school year. Dan was there for me, getting heavy boxes up on shelves and off again, moving furniture around and/or fixing or putting it together. It wasn't his highest-paying job each time. Just half a day's work.
And he made it fun. He's such a friendly, easy guy to work with. We would talk and talk and catch up each time he came to help me, at home or at school. He's an excellent handyman and good listener, on top of that. You'll see.

Yesterday was the third time I used Dan's services in my third home. Just can't seem to escape you Dan haha. I actually brought him all the way to Houston because he is that good. Precision, perfection, professionalism and he is super easy to work with - those are the best ways to describe Dan and his service. The man knows what he is doing and he loves doing it. I used Dan's services for furniture assembly, large TV and large painting mounting and he did precise work. This is your guy. Trust me.
We had a very challenging painting that needed to be placed on a wall. Dan has done some fast calculations and managed to place the picture exactly where required (and it was truly hard). We had another heavy mirror that we wanted to place on the wall. I was under the assumption that it would take 15 minutes at least and Dan was able to nail it in less then a minute!
Totally recommend him! Super professional and a great guy to work with!

Dan was prompt, polite, and did a great job installing a ceiling fan. His price was very fair, and the invoicing very quick - something I appreciate a lot. Highly recommend. We own a couple properties, so I'm keeping his number close!
Dan was great! He called the day of, and informed me exactly what time he would be arriving. Arrived on time. Knocked out all of the projects I had for him in a reasonable time. Every project was done beyond my expectations. He made sure my shelves and bike racks were perfectly level. He went the extra mile on my smart door lock and not only installed it but helped me set the code and rekeyed my old key. Very likeable and personable. I totally recommend him. Two thumbs up!

I started a job in my laundry room and got in over my head. I got on yelp and found this guy so I gave him a call. He was free and came out that day! He gave me price up front and was quick and professional. I'll be using him next week for another small project I need done. Highly recommend.
Handyman Dan quote was nearly twice the amount others quoted, so chose not to use Dan.
I can't express how grateful I am for Dan's help. Not only was he able to help me out with my project (relocation of 2 overhead storage units and repatch of drywall) on very short notice but he did an amazing and detailed job. His work ethic and experience was very apparent in everything he did. He is also a extremely friendly and personable guy. Would highly recommend to anyone who's looking for any kind of handyman work. I called Dan after reading his stellar reviews on Yelp and on the Paloma Lake Facebook Page and he came the same day!! He fixed our door handle that another un handy man screwed up when he only stained one side of the door and didnt put the handle back on correctly. He also fixed a loose faucet handle.
Dan is super friendly, loves what he does and it shows! Call Dan and you won't be disappointed. !!!
Had Dan out on an unusual job -- to install an electric winch on my garage ceiling for hard top removal on my '95 SL320... probably can't tell from the photo but this is a heavy piece of gear that needs to be lag bolted (dead center) to the ceiling joist... Dan did a great job in short order and time left over to do an LED replacement of a florescent ceiling fixture in the garage.
Dan was on time, got the jobs done ahead of schedule and was a pleasure to work with...
I had Dan evaluate my doors for leaks/drafts. He was a real professional. He expertly assessed each door, found the flaws (and some old shoddy workmanship.)
He offered me his solutions, gave me a quote on the spot. He bought the needed supplies at Home Depot and it was a piece of cake after that! He is courteous, prompt and understanding, I heartily recommend him.

We are regulars for Dan, as he consistently does great work at a reasonable price, and unlike so many other people in his field, is responsive and professional.
In fact, he saved my family's hide today, since last week I had attempted to install a shelf (I'm anything but handy), and stopped midway through because I was missing some parts. Upon starting to take over my work, Dan immediately realized that what I thought was a stud in the wall, was actually the dryer ventilation pipe - which, sadly, I had punctured with my drill. So had I not hired him do the job, aside from the shelf collapsing, the puncture in the dryer vent would have remained, hot moisture from the dryer's exhaust would have filled the walls of the house, and we would have been left at serious risk for black mold, which is obviously extremely dangerous.
Plus, he's a super-nice and friendly guy. Highly recommended!

A few years ago I had a lovely little incident in our garage. Lets just say there was a perfect replica of my car door in the wall in the garage that I have been living with for the past few years.
After ignoring it for a while, I finally decided to call around and see if someone could fix it.
I decided to call Dan and he answered his phone!!! Anyone who has been looking for any kind of contractor these days knows that getting someone to answer the phone/return a phone call is half the battle. Dan was able to come out the very next day and repair it, and did an amazing job.
He was timely, professional and pricing was fair. He also sent process shots of the repair which was a bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again. Highly recommend!

Fortunately, this review will only serve to echo the comments of many other people regarding Handyman Dan and his work. Dan's service was excellent and I would highly recommend him. Why? Unlike many other guys in his profession (or contractors) I called Dan and received a call back within 5 minutes (I've found that many calls for help go unreturned or are very delayed...not the case with Dan). I was in need of some drywall repair and after shooting him a few photos of the scene of the crime, he sent me back a reasonable quote and an date of repair that was only two days away. He showed up on time, did an excellent job patching the wall and matching the texture and was enjoyable to talk to thru the entire process. Thanks for the help Dan!
Dan was quick to respond to my service request and came to my house very soon after making arrangements. He helped me with a fan installation and was very informative and helped me solve my issues. I learned a little more about wiring from my ceiling thanks to Dan. Friendly and fairly priced. Thank you, Dan.

I agree with John that this guy was not transparent about his prices. Part of that is on me for not outlining it very clearly BEFORE the work began. I normally am very diligent and I made an assumption based off pricing outlines in previous reviews.... my bad.
What I DO have an issue with is him trying to charge me almost $475 to hang four tiny towel hooks, two 15 glass shelves, and 3 small 12 decorative mirrors in a row. (Three of which are crooked : / )
By the way, his invoice was written haphazardly on a random piece of scratch paper in pencil. Nice.
I know it's a tired cliche, but I'm so sick of (most) contractors trying to take me or my grandmother to the cleaners because we are friendly and female. I think charging me $60 EACH for a f*@!ING towel hook is ludicrous!
We also had issues of him not showing up and needing to reschedule. I hate leaving bad reviews, especially because I rely on a client base for my own living, but I value my clients and it just steams me when other service providers don't value theirs.
Be CLEAR with pricing BEFORE you begin work, because he will remain (I suspect purposely) ambiguous.
Dan was fantastic. Came over immediately on short notice to help out with a tight project timeline. Glad to have someone on speed dial for odds and ends in the future!! Beautiful work and detail. Thanks Dan!

He saw me struggling to reach the tree limbs in my yard and offered his help after servicing my neighbor. I found out that he had helped me during his lunch break! He went above and beyond the call of duty!
I called Dan to install three ceiling fans in my new home. He did a good job and didn't stop for a moment until all the work was done. I didn't post a review then as I thought he did what was expected.
Two months later two of the fans started clicking, so I messaged Dan on a Sunday asking him to call me to see what could be done.
Less than an hour later Dan came by and spent more than 90 minutes diagnosing what the problem might be disassembling and reassembling, tightening, testing. Eventually all was well again and when I asked what I owed him for his travel and time he said nothing, consider it warranty work.
No one is perfect but a guy who stands behind his work is refreshing and should be rewarded.
Dan is my guy for future work.

I called Dan and asked him to repair my collapsed fence in my backyard. He provided same day service and did an awesome job within a very short period of time. He's also super nice . I highly recommend Dan for any service required as he is efficient, knowledgeable, creative and humble.

You know the little string that dangles down from the ceiling fan to turn on/off the lights? Well we yanked too hard on it and pulled the chain cord out! There was no way to turn the lights on without it. It is NOT an easy fix for us non-handy folks. You have to mess with the electrical stuff and take apart the central part of the ceiling fan. No thanks. Handy Man Dan came over and fixed it right up!
Super friendly and reasonably priced!
We will definitely use Handy Man Dan for all future handy work! He's actually coming over tomorrow to fix a hole in our wall caused by a door knob. :)

We have a new ceiling fan in our living room! Dan was able to fit us in this weekend, and he installed a new ceiling fan twice. The first one was a dud, but the second one works like a charm. He was very personable, and patient and tenacious. So pleased he could make it work. Would hire him again!
Recently purchased a condo in downtown Austin as an investment property. We had a whole slew of issues with broken and non-working items. Dan responded quickly. He installed our garbage disposal, fixed the dishwasher, and set us up with a portable air conditioning unit until the HVAC could get fixed.
Just this morning I contacted Dan about an electrical job in another unit. Dan responded within minutes and let me know that while could not do the work himself on such short notice that he could get me in touch with someone who could. He gave me a referral for a licensed master electrician who contacted me immediately.
We are very pleased with Dan's work and his professionalism.
Handyman came to my door, within 10 hours of my request and had a bathroom light fixture completely replaced and cleaned up within one hour. He was very transparent the entire time. He is also a very personable and respectful guy. He advised me on three other projects, which will ultimately save us 100's of dollars. Ask him how he got the name HandyMan Dan. He was teaching me how to hang light fixtures in the future and sent me youtube videos that will teach me how to replace a hot water cartridge. 5 stars, all the way. If you don't go with Handyman Dan, you are dumb. If the other people had a problem with the service or price, then they either don't get the biz, or they just weren't honest enough to ask him right away.
He does an okay job, but since he gets paid hourly, you could tell he was dragging the time on (or he is REALLY slow at his job). He just wants money from you so if you're okay with that and his slowness, go ahead, hire him. No, he's not bad and he doesn't have a horrible mean personality, but he's only interested in getting money.
Be careful with Dan. He is not transparent with his pricing and will sneak in extra charges if he can. He told me on the phone to never call him again after I refused to pay his extra charges. He then threatened to put a lein on my house over refusing to pay his sneaky and not agreed charges. I guess this was some kind of bully tactic.
He really likes to talk. Although he thinks he is friendly, no one really cares about his odd stories. When he is talking, he is not working and therefore the job takes a really long time.
We had to get dry walls patched and painted. Dan was excellent in his service, on time and did a fantastic job. He went above and beyond to help us paint few spots around the house even though he wasnt required to. Will highly recommend him!
We had a huge armoire that we needed to get into our bedroom. So we called up Dan to see if he could possibly help. Due to the bad angling of how the house is built we had been told by everyone it was impossible to get it in the room. But DAN made it happen! With no damage and only taking 30 mins or less it is now in our room! We will definitely call Dan in the future!
Dan helped hang our family pictures and art on our walls, very well done. He measured and was patient with me while making decisions as to where to hang them. He also changed our back door for us. Very happy with his work.
I called Dan yesterday to fix a hole in our wall. He came out quickly and did an excellent job patching the hole and matching the wall texture. I will definitely use Dan again and would recommend him if you're looking for quality service!
Dan has done a few projects for me in the last couple of weeks. He is timely, pleasant and very competent. Also, if the job needs a specialist, he'll let you know the scope of the issue and usually can recommend someone.

Dan has become my go to handyman for make ready work when one of my rental properties needs to be prepared for a new tenant.
He's been a big help for those projects that I don't know how to do or I could do but it would take me 5x as long to figure out. Sometimes I have a list of to do and we simply divide-and-conquer to get the job done.
So far he's helped me with:
- Fixed a door jam that was scratched up by a dog (before and after photos uploaded)
- Replaced weather stripping
- Replaced bathroom faucets
- Replaced bathroom lighting fixtures
- Replaced showerheads
- Replaced toilet seats
- Replaced mini blinds
- Touched-up chipped tile grout
- Reattach faux drawer face below kitchen sink
- Reattach laminate floor transition that was coming up
He's also really good about itemizing his invoices so that I can see the total cost broken out by effort. This allows me to identify how much to apply to a tenant's security deposit vs. those charges that I am personally absorbing.
I also really appreciate his flexibility to work on weekends. I work a full time job outside of the rental properties, so often weekends are my only option for make ready work.
Dan did a great job at our house with a bunch of repairs. He installed lighting fixtures, grab bars in the tub and shower, repaired and painted sheet rock, painted cabinets and doors and caulked around woodwork outdoors. He was prompt in replying to our request for an estimate and on time and efficient in completing the work. I highly recommend him and plan to use him again in the future

Dan is great to work with! He is my go to guy when my clients need to get their rental property ready to release. He does drywall, texture, paint, hang blinds caulking, light bulbs, ac filters, trash out. He shows up on time and finishes on time.
My disposal stopped working. I asked Dan if he handled replacing a disposal. He said that I should use a licensed plumber. Even though he wasn't getting any business from me, he also provided me with a simple fix to try before replacing it. It worked!

I needed two towel rods hung. No problem for Dan. I needed a hook for a guitar. I tried to do it myself because the hook said drywall. Dan knew it needed a stud. I needed a mailbox as part of my honey do list but Handyman Dan did that and had to think outside the box since all the bolts on the original had rusted and then stripped. Finally, Dan helped me hang my mantle piece without a mantel by drilling into stone. Dan was professional, prompt, polite, and easy as pie.

I was having issues with a front door. Dan came out within 24hrs of my inquiry and showed me that it was simply the door handle that needed replacing, and didn't charge me for the visit. He was quick and polite and will be the first person I call next time I need some help. Thanks, Dan!
I've called Dan twice in the past 2 mos for handyman services. Each time, he responded fast and was able to come out by the next day. We had a sauna installed, which Dan singlehandedly lifted into the house and put together within 2 hrs by himself! I was impressed with the speed of the job and how professional he was. Next, we called him to raise the couch for my husband, who is disabled and can't lift himself off such a low couch. Dan did a custom furniture riser with wood he stained and got from Home Depot. It was a difficult job and our couch looks beautiful sitting 8 more inches off the ground with the sturdy platform Dan created. I would recommend Handyman Dan for any job around the house!!!

Dan is personable and friendly. I thought his hourly rate of $40 was quite reasonable (plus a $20 trip charge), but his work pace was not fast. However, his work quality was solid and he did a nice job of installing some wood blinds and replacing a thermostat.
Dan is very professional and did a excellent job installing my TV today. I called this morning and he came this afternoon to install the TV in my kids playroom. Will be calling again for future jobs. Thank you.
We had a couple jobs involving building a hand rail for an attic area as well as designing a custom hidden door that goes into a safe room. Dan was not only responsive but he clearly enjoys his work and creates quality results. The custom door couldn't have turned out better!! A fun and creative feature that he designed from scratch. Great value and it is really enjoyable working with someone that is honest and reliable.

Caveats: I live out-of-state and own a tenant-occupied house that was built in 1974 and was a fixer-upper when we bought it in 2006.
Maybe it is the above info that makes it so hard to find a great handyman. I don't know. But when I first contacted Dan I had really high hopes based on all the great reviews. I explained that we really needed was a handyman we could send a To Do list to and they could take it from there....set up appointment with tenant and follow-thru until list was complete.
It never really worked out that way. Lots of calls/explanations/rescheduling with tenants/confusion over to do list/confusion over parts needed/etc. The final straw was the 4th (or 5th?) scheduled appointment that Dan arrived at and immediately told tenants he couldn't stay to complete any of the work.....just dropped by to cancel in person.
He seems like a really nice guy to sit and chat with. Maybe if you are on site and really flexible with your time he'd be a good fit. The amount of time and money I spent, though, to try and get a pretty basic list complete (we're talking installing a kitchen sprayer, touch-up painting, putting on a screen door, etc....) wasn't worth the hassle. 3 1/2 months after first contacting him, my tenants have thrown up their hands in frustration, and I'm moving on....
First things first this guy is amazing. We called him to come check out my back door because it was having issues. He came by and was very nice and looked at the door and said that it would be better for him not to do any work on it and the just replace it. He had info on who to contact and where to get the best material for the job. My girlfriend felt very comfortable with him being in the house and want him to come out next time something is wrong in the house. This man is very knowledgeable and won't screw you over. He didn't charge me a thing to come out and didn't charge me to look at the door. He was probably out for half a hour and we talked most of that time. I'm so glad I found him because most handy men either do a half ass job and you have to repair their repairs later or charge a arm and a leg and screw you in your pocket book. He is very quick, nice, knowledgeable give him a try if you need a handy man.

Handyman Dan is awesome!! He is kind, pleasant and listens without rushing to get the job done without consulting with you first. I called Dan for a fence issue. He came out promptly, he gave me some advice on how to remedy the overall fence stability. I really appreciate his time. Dan does great work. I called to have him fix up a couple door frames and some shoe molding my dog had done some damage to as a puppy, and other miscellaneous patch ups in my apartment. He was available within a day or two and fixed up everything in a short afternoon, all for a fair price.
Dan was easy to arrange/schedule everything with, and he's a real nice guy so it was nice to talk with him while he worked. I would recommend to anyone.

I had an great experience with Dan! He did a couple of projects for me. One was replacing a light fixture in my entry way and the other was installing a solid wood beam as a mantle on my fireplace. He was punctual, personable, reasonably priced, and most importantly, he did fantastic work. I'll definitely call him again next time I need help with any projects!
Dan installed sliding trays in our kitchen cabinets and mounted a showerhead rail on a tile wall in the walk-in shower. Dan made short work of it all, and he did an excellent job on both. We discussed another project for which we will definitely hire Dan to do once we get our part done so Dan can do his part.
I would like to take the time out to write a review for Handyman Dan who just recently installed ceiling fans, and light fixtures in my home. I contacted him and he immediately responded and we set up a time for him to come by. After he arrived and we went over what was to be done, he presented me a fair figure for the work that was to be done. Within a short time of him arriving , he was so friendly and I felt I had known him for longer than the time he had arrived. The fixtures and fans were all installed and I was very happy with how everything looked and worked after installation. I would hire him again and will in the near future. Great handyman!

Dan demonstrates a very high level of integrity about his craftsmanship that I don't see much of these days. He's a great guy -- affable, knowledgeable, punctual, respectful, and above all, honest. He cares a great deal about getting the job (even very small jobs that other contractors might deem unworthy) done right. And if he is unable to do a particular job in question, he will be honest with you about it rather than trying to do a shoddy job just for the money. His speedy turnaround time and the fact that he himself does the work (rather than sending out a subcontractor) is greatly appreciated. We definitely will hire Dan again for future projects.
Dan does very high quality work for reasonable prices. He can fix just about anything in your house and he provides excellent advice and customer service. There are cheaper options, but if you want your job done right he's the guy.

I called Dan about installing a new storm door. He responded the next day and was able to come out and install it that day. He did a great job! I'm very pleased with how the door looks and functions. He fixed some rotting wood on the door frame so that the door would attach well. Dan was also very personable and has a good sense of humor. I'd call him again for other handyman jobs at my house.

I had Dan out to repair some trim that had to be removed due to water damage. His rates were very reasonable, he was very flexible with his time, and he did quality work. I would definitely recommend him for all small jobs around the house. It was refreshing to see a handyman that does all his own work, instead of charging you a high rate and dropping off less than skilled workers while they hop from site to site supervising. I will definitely call Dan for the next job that requires a skilled handyman.
Had an issue with a spring on my attic stairs. Called a reputable large company that advertises handyman services and they quoted me a four hour minimum just to come and look at the problem. I promptly kicked myself for not starting with yelp and then went to yelp and found Handyman Dan. I called left a message, he returned my call very promptly and was able to stop by within the hour to take a look. He is now my newfound go to handyman. He was friendly, knowledgable, able to repair my stairs within minutes and only charged me $53. I'm sold. Next time you need handyman services, give him a try!!

Handyman Dan is the best! I had an extremely large and heavy mirror that needed to be hung. I originally called a random handyman to do it and their two man team scratched my wall trying to hang the mirror and were not able to hang it up. I called Handyman Dan the next day and he was able to get it fixed and hang it up on his own with no problem. It was perfectly aligned and my wall did not get scratched at all when he was doing it. Handyman Dan also hung a large circular piece for me above my range and did a fantastic job. If you have large pieces that you need hung I would ONLY recommend Handyman Dan!

I was taking a metal bed apart in my spare bedroom and to make a long story short. It fell over into my wall and made two fist sized holes in the drywall. I live in a new house, so not happy at all to say the least. Went straight to Yelp for help close by. I contacted Handyman Dan after searching and reading some reviews. He responded quickly! Quoted me a good price and scheduled a appointment for the repairs. He was communicative, on time and did a fantastic job in a quick fashion. I'm very satisfied and will use him for other projects if the need arises. I recommend his services! Thanks Dan!
Dan did a great job on a handful of minor projects. He showed up a little early to go over the four projects which mostly involved securely hanging various shelves, racks and pictures. He took care to get everything precisely positioned where I wanted and made sure I was happy with the work done. I'll look forward to working with Dan again.
Handyman Dan is an awesome handyman. He hung multiple shelves in my new apartment and hung a few paintings. Everything he hung is spot on level and exactly where they should be. He's very friendly and arrives at the time he says he will. I will recommend him to everyone and call him when I need more things done.

Dan was polite, didn't really show up at time was supposed to, but his son injured himself so he explained it to me very well. I would def. use Dan for small one hour jobs, but for example I had a fence repair job, at his rate of $40/hour & how many hours he thought it would take him, it was MUCH cheaper to go with professional Fence Repair companies who have a warranty, more experience, probably do it in 1/3 the time and lots of other perks (by much cheaper, I'm talking about $700). So for an hour job I would def. use him as he is reliable, once you start getting above 2-3 hours, I'm not sure its worth it.
Prompt, honest, professional, responsive, friendly- did a great job fixing a busted lock!

We recently hired Handyman Dan to help with a list of repairs in our home. He did a great job. We were very pleased with his professionalism, skills, and friendliness.
Dan assembled a desk for me and did a very good job. During the process, one of the desktop pieces got scratched (accidentally of course). Dan was extremely apologetic and walked me through the process of getting the replacement piece (it was under warranty so no cost) and then he came back out to replace the damaged piece for no charge.
I would recommend Dan to anyone. A humble individual who knows how to fix things. If you want an honest price and a good person I highly suggest you go with Dan!

Finally! Have found the perfect person to address those annoying home projects which seem to pop up right when you think you have everything just right. Dan was at our home this morning to raise a hanging light fixture, hang a drapery rod and repair a decorative barn style door. It was easy making my appointment with him and we were able to schedule the work right away. He was prompt, professional and a perfectionist. Very friendly and did I mention clean. Took great care not to make a mess and promptly cleaned the area around where he had been working once the project was complete. So happy to find Dan and so happy other reviewers took the time to share their positive experience with this business!

I called Dan over a week ago and still have not received a call back. He gets two stars because the next two contractors I called for a fence did return my calls but I still don't have a quote for 75 feet of fence. Not sure if it is better to just ignore the caller or string them along thinking you will eventually at least get a quote.

I was about to have my house appraised for a refi and had 11 handyman things I needed to get done. Some of them I could normally have done myself, but due to medical reasons was unable to do so at the time. Handyman Dan to the rescue! Dan came out both Saturday and Sunday mornings and took care of my list before the appraiser came Sunday afternoon. Great work and very personable. I highly recommend Handyman Dan!

Handyman Dan responded when I called and was available the following day to hang a large canvas picture. He was prompt, professional, neat and did the work quickly and with precision. We really think Hanyman Dan was reasonable and did a great job. Highly recommend!
Really more like 2.5 stars. Remodeling a bathroom and needed drywall repair when changing from one vanity light to two, retexture of area on powder room wall and several (about 10) very small drywall areas throughout house that needed patching from curtain rods or settling cracks, etc. Dan did not show up on time the first day (he set time to be here at 10, but didn't show up until 1130--said he stayed up late watching movies since it was Father's Day--did not respond to text until after time he was supposed to be here--wish he had respected my time). On first day, left for lunch and came back 2.5/3 hours later--did not knock, just came into house. I went over all areas of repair more than once, yet still had to go back more than once to show him areas he missed. Dan was friendly and did decent work, but did not clean up after himself. All the material removed from patch sites are just left on the floors, windowsills, etc. Had to scrub off overspray from retexturing repair from several areas and off floor. We moved furniture to allow access to areas repaired and removed sink, cabinet, mirror on wall in powder room that needed repair. Nothing in powder room was covered when he sanded and was left with a thick coat of dust over everything as well as texture material that had to be cleaned off the plumbing fixtures and the floor. We spend about two hours doing clean up after Dan left. He was paid $1500 for 12-14 hours of work on his part. Would I hire again? Probably not.
I tell everyone how GREAT Dan Hoffman is as an all around handyman! For the past three years he has been there for us as my son as moved around Austin pursuing his college degrees. He is prompt, always friendly, very knowledgeable about what he is building, reasonable and just a joy to work with! He has built a bed, chest of drawers, desk, and bedside table and taken them apart and reassembled then each time my son has moved. Will continue to us his services as long as we are in the area!

Dan helped us with four or five jobs around the house. He was available within a few days of my call. Compared to other handymen we have used, his rates are very reasonable. He worked on tasks until they were finished and when our leak sprung again he came and fixed it without any additional cost. I will use Dan again and recommend him to friends!
Dan was extremely responsive, personable, and prompt! That was my experience before even meeting him. He did an excellent job hanging tapestries on a precariously high wall and installing a shelf. His prices are reasonable and he worked diligently. Will definitely be calling him for lots of future projects!

Dan was not available for services in our area (Steiner Ranch). Too bad :-( We own several rental properties and could have given him a ton of business over the years. Funny, he said he was in Marble falls on a job but, we were too far out.
I have been using Dan for all my handyman needs around the house the last couple of years and have always very pleased with the quality of the work he does. Dan is super nice and very reliable. He has always been fair and honest with me and that's what I like most about him. I would highly recommend him!

Dan was not available for the type of service that I needed (repair/replace toilet) in Pflugerville so he suggested that I call a company that he referred me to, which I did and was able to get someone out as soon as they could. The good thing about Handyman Dan, if he is unable to do the job, he will definitely refer you to someone that could. It's too bad that he had to do this because we have tons of rental property and my parents are elderly that we could of used him if he had done the work that I needed. I will call Handyman Dan again if I need anything else to try him out.
