Max and Twin Oaks are my go-to electricians. They have been responsible for multiple projects at my 1947 home, from fully wiring Cat8 through the house with difficult field terminations and keystones, to working with me as I refinished my garage and installing a new EV charger and moving outlets.
We are in the middle of my most complex ask yet (burying electrical with the city of Austin and Austin Energy) combined with a brand new load center and full breaker update. The team is responsive and does great work.

I am updating my review as this company never finished the remodel work that we had contracted. In the process the electric inspector came 3 times and every time there were corrections. It was somehow my fault that Twin Oaks had to come back out to fix the work they did incorrectly. In the end they ghosted me for 2 weeks and didnt finish the work after the final inspector said once again their work was incorrect. I had paid them all up front which was a mistake and I had to get another electrician which cost me $1300 to complete the job. Up until the end everything was great so maybe this was their first gut remodel job and realized they got in over their head.

After calling two other companies that didn't respond, Twin Oaks responded quickly. Appointment was scheduled, reminder email was received. Technician was knowledgeable, courteous and quick. I would use them again and definitely recommend.
Dylan and Max installed an outlet and moved a cat6 connection for us. They were very speedy, really friendly, reasonably priced, and super helpful (they even helped re-hang our TV using the newly-installed outlet).
They also answered a lot of questions for us, and gave extremely helpful advice about future projects. Highly recommended!
If you are looking for a master electrician with excellent communication, prices, and quality, then Twin Oaks Electric is a good choice. Max was able to assess our project and provide honest feedback about the best approach. Dylan did the installation. He was efficient, collaborative, and able to navigate some tricky obstacles during the installation.

I will admit that this was the first time in my life that I was in need of an electrician and Had no idea where to start nor did I know who to call first that I could trust. Going through Yelp made it so simple! Twin Oaks was the first to respond to my electrical issues and Max was able to come out the very next day! He was very helpful, incredibly knowledgeable and FAST! I think he was in and out in under an hour and I have absolutely no complaints at all! my problem was solved, the work was completed and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg either! Dylan was great. He is friendly and knowledgeable. He changed out four bathroom vents/lights that had been installed wrong before. I am going to have them come back for some additional electrical projects. I highly recommend them.

ETA: There was a bit of a color mismatch between the new cabinet lights and the existing under cabinet lights, and Max did the research to find just the right replacements, plus added a dimmer that we can control via wifi. Amazing service!

Very happy with our service. Everything was thoroughly explained and executed. Pricing was reasonable. I especially appreciate being provided links to price/buy the items we needed ourselves, and just pay for the installation labor. Will def use them for subsequent electrical needs!

Not enough good things I can say. They are my electricians for life! Their quote was WELL below that of others, and Dylan was out here within 2 hours. We had a whole house surge protector installed and he had it done within 15 minutes. I highly recommend them and will use them whenever I need serious electrical work done.

Responsive at getting a quote and prices were super reasonable compared to other electricians I contacted. We had them install a chandelier and 3 pendant lights which look amazing! They also found and fixed an issue that the previous owner of the home created by wiring their own lights which would have been horrible to figure out on our own and it was all fixed really quickly. Great team, highly recommend

The folks at Twin Oaks did a great job from start to finish. Max provided a very competitive estimate and scheduled service quickly. They arrived early and finished in a few hours. I got a 50amp circuit installed to accommodate a pool heat pump I am having installed. Dillon and his partner handled the install like pros and explained to me everything I needed to know (of course I didn't turn on the circuit and touch it to see, but I'm sure it works). I have full confidence that they will stand behind their work if there is any problem. After 11yrs in this house I think I just found my go to electricians!
I am a new resident to the Bell county area. I recently bought a home and wanted to update my lighting to recessed lighting in my living room. I contacted Twin Oaks Electric and they did an amazing job. They are efficient and effective with what they do. I would highly recommend and will be contacting them again for my future updates.
Great experience! First time I used Twin Oaks. They were responsive to my inquiry and Max the owner came to my house to give the estimate. They were scheduling about a week out. On the day, the tech Dylan and his assistant arrived on time (early) and were courteous, fast, and professional. They cleaned up nicely after the work. Max came by during the work for an hour or so to make sure everything was done right. We had them replace a broken outdoor riser outlet, install a new twin outdoor outlet, and add an outlet in our kitchen pantry. All done great! We have found our new electrician.

As much as we love our house, it didn't come with any real Ethernet ports and we both now work from home. Needless to say, we learned a lot about Wifi signal strength over the past year and were dreaming of getting Ethernet connections in all our rooms to avoid wifi altogether. The folks at Twin Oaks made this dream a reality. Max, the owner, helped me figure out exactly what needed to happen and was patient with all my questions before the job, and then the two guys that came out to do the job were prompt, professional, friendly, and didn't make a mess. Highly recommend.
I reached out for help with what I thought was a short in the wiring to my thermostat. Rather than taking my money and coming to check it out, Max suggested that I try cleaning out the condensate line from the unit, which immediately resolved the issue. I was so impressed with the integrity and helpfulness that I'll be using Twin Oaks for all my electrical needs moving forward.

Max was very quick to provide a quote WITHOUT insisting on a mandatory trip charge. Instead, he used technology to get all of the information he needed to provide an accurate quote. When we chatted on the phone about another electrical issue I had that I hadn't addressed, he ended up suggesting a likely culprit, which it was - that one I fixed on my own, but just goes to show he's not just trying to find ways to upsell you.
Max and Dylan both came by to do the install. Dylan was RIGHT on time, and knocked out an external outlet install very quickly while Max was on the way with the wire for my project. Once Max arrived, they knocked out the spa circuit install in short order.
Every other company I contacted insisted on an hour minimum trip charge to even bid the job - instead, Twin Oaks Electric is in the modern age and provided me exactly what I was looking for, and with great service.
We've had Twin Oaks install a Tesla charger, uninstall it and reinstall at a new house. They also recently installed some pendants. Every time they've been pleasant & professional. We already have them scheduled for more work next week. Would definitely recommend!
On 7/20, Twin Oaks technicians came to our home to instal lights and ceiling fans. When the technicians mishandled and broke our very expensive ceiling Max Panelo, the owner, promised to replace the broken glass or replace the fan, but has not responded to more than a dozen texts and voice mail messages. As of today, 9/14, this matter is still not resolved and we can only conclude that Mr. Panelo is a dishonest businessman. We will be filing a complaint against his Electrical Contractor license #502255 with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. If Mr. Panelo reads this review and wants to avoid this action, he should contact me immediately. David R.

We had been having trouble with half our house randomly losing power. I contacted Twin Oaks Electric and they quickly diagnosed the issue (see pic) without needing to come out or, unlike any other business, charging a fee to do it. Oncor came out and confirmed their diagnosis. We were able to set up a time and they finished the job quickly. Very pleased and I would highly recommend them.

Max was easy and clear to communicate with. Gave pricing estimates early on over messaging (didn't require an in-person visit for my project) and was clear about what we could expect with service - something I really appreciate! Dylan completed our service and was wonderful to be around and did excellent work. He was friendly, professional, gave advice for light placement, and seemed to have our best interests in mind when placing the lights and discussing light brightness/warmth. Max installed an 240V outlet in my garage for my Tesla Model 3. He arrived ahead of schedule and emailed me before to check if arriving earlier was okay. He was extremely professional and was responsive by email when I was looking for quotes. Max's quote was very fair and reasonable and beat a lot of the most rated ones on Yelp. He installed the outlet flush with the wall and even helped label the panel box, small things but nice attention to detail. I highly recommend using Twin Oaks and will have him out again for any future electrical issues.

I recently bought a home and had to remodel the bathroom due to a poor remodel from the past home owners. Max was super responsive, unlike many other electricians, and was very thorough with correcting some issues not to code, while also prepping recessed lights in my shower so that my tile guy would not skip a beat.
His promptness and ability to take technical jargon and put it in such a way for anyone to understand really stood out to me the most. Could not recommend Max anymore highly.
Let me tell you what makes Twin Oaks Electric the very best! Excellent problem solving. I was so impressed how Max thought through my projects and came up with smart and aesthetically pleasing solutions. He thinks, plans, communicates and delivers excellent results. I recently bought a condo and needed to have the entire place pig-tailed because it has aluminum wiring. I wanted to get this done as soon as possible, and Twin Oaks was able to schedule a time to do this within a few weeks of me originally contacting them. I honestly felt pretty in over my head with my electrical concerns, but Twin Oaks was incredibly accommodating and clear.
Dylan was so efficient and easy to work with. I was honestly shocked by how quickly he was able to finish my repairs, and his recommendations not only made me feel very confident in his work but also helped me save money in the end. Dylan was under the cost estimate, under the amount of time I was expecting it to take, and left no mess behind. He communicated clearly and easily with me at all times.
I really would recommend Twin Oaks to anyone -- I've already contacted them again myself, for new installations I need to do.
Have used them multiple times now, Dylan and Max are the best. Had all light switches changed to Lutron Caseta, new outlets added, and old chandelier wiring removed from the ceiling. I'll gladly continue using Twin Oaks for my electrical needs in the future! Highly recommended.
I just had an electric car charger and surge protector installed. I had a great experience with Twin Oaks Electric. They made booking process very easy. Dylan showed up on time and completed work very quickly. The job was completed for the same cost as the estimate. I will recommend this business to my friends and family.
I needed new circuits (not just outlets) in my screen room in the back, so I could have 3 new heaters there. I contacted several electricians, got several bids, removed the outliers, and evaluated the remaining 3.
I chose Twin Oaks because of their reviews and because of the great communication I had with Max on Yelp. He gave me several options, including how much each option would roughly cost. He was clearly very knowledgeable, and such a pleasure to interact with. Dylan came to actually do the work, and he was fantastic as well.
So, did they live up to all the great reviews on yelp? Not only did they live up to it, I think they exceeded it! I reserve 5 star reviews for folks that truly exceed expectations and go the extra mile. These folks definitely did, and I would highly recommend them.
Max and team were pleasant to work with. They listened to what I wanted to do and participated in the process (which was important for me). The work was done neatly and quickly and I will be having them back for lighting work. Definite recommend.

We have been living in the Austin area for 6 years and have had a couple of electro and to our house during that time....but never like this! This is the first upfront, no b.s. pricing, affordable, and high quality work combined in one electrical company.
The electrician did more work in one hour, as promised, than it took others to do in 2 hours. Not only did he fix the problem with my GFI plug, he provided a solution that would fix my power issues in the garage for good! When all was said and done, it is high quality work and less than half in cost what I was expecting.
If you want electric work done, you can stop looking around and call Twin Oaks!
Twin Oaks was great. I needed to an an outlet to change an elec car. TO had me take a pic of the breaker box, answer a few questions via email and responded with firm price. Easy, fast, pleasant in person experience with Dylan on the installation. I would highly recommend.

I went to Twin Oaks Electric for a second opinion and found a business I'll keep using for as long as I stay in Austin. Max was responsive and easy to work. Plus, the team he sent out, Dylan and Austin, arrived on time, did great work and even talked me down from extras that, in retrospect, were just an upsell from another company. Honest, local folks--Highly recommend.
We were so thankful to have found Max, the owner of Twin Oaks Electric. He's is building a reputation for his company based on quality work and honesty - rather than trying to take advantage or cut corners. I spoke to at least 5 other electricians including the highest rated ones on Yelp. Max didn't use scare tactics the other companies did. From pictures I sent, one company told me I had to replace the whole electrical system ($10-20K!!!) before they'd install a dedicated outlet for my fried dishwasher. Another guy wanted me to pay his hourly rate for the estimate plus 30 min of travel time. Not Max! Instead of asking for pics, he came out RIGHT AWAY and gave a very reasonable quote that he stuck to. He doesn't charge unless he actually does work on your home. In addition to putting in our new outlets, he rewired our breaker box, solved a number of other issues, AND FIXED THE DISHWASHER we thought we had to replace.
Basically I was a huge snowball of anxiety until I found Max. He is very knowledgeable about older homes, he can shimmy in tight (and icky) attics and crawl spaces and he stayed on budget. He was willing to look at all our other little side projects and gave us a reasonable action plan ranked by priority. He's incredibly honest, responsive, courteous and makes everything feel easy, not overwhelming. It makes him a pleasure to work with. I'm so happy we found our family's electric company with Twin Oaks Electric.

Had a great experience with Twin Oaks- they were priced great, communicated well, arrived on time and did beautiful work!
Max responded first to my project request and was able to come out the next morning and knock out a few things I needed done right away. This was a welcome difference from some other companies that weren't going to show up without a guaranteed $50. He did solid work quickly and at a reasonable price. He also gave me some great ideas for some ways to get some other things done myself. Super pleased and inclined to use him again for future electrical work.
It's my first home and I was nervous about the process and cost to upgrade my kitchen with pendant lights, but Max made it so easy for me to go with them. I really appreciated his immediate feedback and open line of communication throughout the whole process...and the cost! Their quote was so affordable and even when I wanted to add to the job, he kept to the budget I was comfortable with. Installation day, too, was a great experience. Dylan was on time and pleasant to work with. He took the time to address my concerns and explain the steps he was going to take prior to starting. I loved how was mindful of his work space and kept things neat and professionally done. And, he made sure everything is what I wanted before wrapping things up. They really do have a good team here. I can't wait for them to come back and install a chandelier above my dining table!

These gentlemen are personable, polite, and efficient. But also perhaps more importantly, they are smart about their profession! This is not often a usual combination of traits in young trade professionals.
I had a multi-faceted job -- adding both under-counter and overhead lighting; adding an outlet; and moving a switch. But my most vexing issue was finding and solving an electrical mystery that involved the dedicated plug for my refrigerator and my circuit breaker. All the jobs were done quickly and well!
For my convenience, my jobs were divided on 2 different days. As the vagaries of Texas electric power would have it, when Dylan came the first day my power had just gone out. Despite working in partial darkness, he took on the task at hand with good humor and great diligence. The results were just as I wished despite the handicapping set of circumstances.
Both Max and Dylan came the second day, completing all my other tasks in record time. Max also uncovered a potential code violation perpetuated by the original builder cutting corners. This issue was unknown to me and could have had a dangerous outcome if not discovered and corrected.
I was exceptionally happy with the quality of their work, their punctuality, level of communication, their politeness, their business model and professional demeanor. The big bonus -- they clean up after themselves -- which is much appreciated! :-)

I have rarely experienced the incredible customer service that I got from Dylan & Max and Twin Oaks Electric. The scope of the project shifted and they took it in stride, communicated effectively along the way, and Dylan's work was impeccable. We had several outlets that didn't work that Dylan helped us diagnose, AND literally 2-3 dozen outlets & switches that needed to be updated. Friendly, safe, communicative, and fast - great with my kids & dog who were inevitably a nuisance. Twin Oaks is worth every penny and will be my go to for any electrical work I have in the future - and a referral to all my friends and family!

Max and Dylan installed a new sub-panel, some new circuits, and some outlets. They took the time to explain everything they were doing, and happily answered all of my many questions. They did the job in less than three hours, and even cleaned up all the sheetrock and bits of wire insulation. The price was competitive with other options. The entire experience was easy. I will be calling these guys again if any electrical situations come up.
We had several different issues with switches and outlets and they were able to diagnose and resolve them quickly and technician was very personable. I plan to use them for all my electrical needs in the future.

Twin Oaks was by far the most responsive company we reached out too. Dillon did a great job adding a wall socket behind my TV.
I received a fast response to my initial inquiry and a written estimate. Dylan arrived promptly at the appointed time, replaced my ceiling fan and converted my porch light into an outlet (much more useful) -- and was efficient, resulting in a lower final bill than expected. Highly recommend!

Showed up and did an above and beyond job! Installed 2 brakers and ran lines for 2 new plugs. No more popping brakers because of overload. Quote was on par with the other 5 I got for the job.

Max responded ASAP to a Friday night yelp electrician request. He was out the following Monday to prep electricity for a new hot tub. He came back out today, in the pouring rain and lightning, to connect the tub and get it going. I'm SO impressed with Max and will call him the next time I need electrical work. Highly recommend!
