Best Gas Line Services in Phoenix AZ
UPDATE: Received an e-mail from Steve Kenyon last night and a call from Chris Hays this morning. Both apologized and conceded that they made substantial pricing error. To be 100% fair, I want to point out that the $300 repair I had done would be equivalent to what Hays would consider a Rescue motor that they feel would be inadequate, but I want to make sure we are apples to apples with what I had done, and they would have been $700ish for the rescue motor, which is in line with what others quoted for an OEM Motor replacement. They also revised their estimate for the OEM motor install (That they feel is necessary and I don't disagree) to $950ish (Still substantially higher than others).
I do appreciate their followup very much and their handling of this has been very professional polite, and they offered to refund my service charge which I appreciate but wasn't expecting, so I'm updating my review from a 1 Star to a 2 Stars

SHAME ON YOU!!!! The AC died at our business today and what do I do.... I go you Yelp Call the highest rated company and scheduled a service call. Guy shows up early PERFECT Relief soon!
After 30min or so the tech come in and tells me The fan is dead and your unit will need an OEM fan because the Rescue fans we keep in our vans wont work with your unit. On top of that, the compressor overheated and we wont know if it will reset until it cools, so it could need more than just a fan.
I say okay, what are we looking at? He said Our Rescue fans run $700-$750 but since yours needs an OEM fan your probably over $1,000 shocked I ask for a quote so we can talk to our building owner and make a decision. He says sure, no problem. He goes to his van and come back a few minutes later and e-mails me an invoice for the $79 service call and a $1,250 Estimate to JUST swap the fan... If the compressor was bad then that would be a whole other thing. We happily paid him for the $79 service call and told him we will let him know what we want to do about the fan once we speak to the building owner.
After the Hays tech leaves, I call the building owner and she referred me to the guy that has worked on the unit in the past. I call him and let him know what Hays said and he choked at the $1250 and said I'll be out in a little bit, but I suspect I can replace it for you for $400-$500 Tops. He said if you can go up and get me the the fan motor HP Rating, RPM and Shaft size I can grab the correct motor on my way and get you up and running. He did agree that we are still hoping that the compressor survived but that's just the chance we have to take.
I'm a fabricator and a mechanic and a general smart guy so I climb up and get all the info off the motor including the Model and part number. I call the guy that the building owner referred me to give him the info and after getting off the phone I decide out of curiosity to google the Model & Part number...... and holy crap!

I can buy it all day long for under $88. I own an auto parts business and by no means am I expecting to pay internet price to have some one come and replace a fan, but lets be real here.... I would expect to pay $250'ish for the fan motor and $250 TOPS for 30min in labor it will take to swap that fan. This sort of predatory business practice is shameful. I have a call into them about this and before she told me she would have a manager call me she said We guarantee our work WOW that must be some guarantee.

Yelp wasn't kidding when it said Freddy replies to inquiries within 20minutes. Within 30minutes of posting an inquiry, he was at my door ready to check out our AC. Freddy took the time to analyze the problem with our AC unit and got our issue fixed. He answered all of my questions and explained how our system is working. His pricing is fair and over-all a nice guy. He's now my go to guy for my AC issues.

Carlos and his partner came out on short notice after when we turned our unit on for the first time this season, only to find no cooling. The techs were friendly, efficient, and best of all successful! We have cool air.

Our second home in Phoenix air conditioning went out. We flew in and our place was 98 degrees. I called Day and Night. They set me up for an appointment the next morning (Saturday) and was great at communicating where the technician was and what time he arrived. Antonio came and got our air conditioning working quickly. I highly recommend this company. They are 5 stars for a reason. Thanks Antonio!!!!

After listening to their pretty nice and honest sounding radio ads, I decided to give them a shot with a clogged sink problem I had. My first goal is just to get a ballpark quote so I could tell if they had a competitive price or not. That is when things went south. If I can't even get a straight answer on a quote I'm sure not bringing anybody in. They can tell me what the trip charge would be, and that the trip charge would be offset by any charges the technician actually incurred doing the work, but they told me they did not have an hourly rate they did a fixed job pricing. I asked how much for the fix job and they told me they did not have that price in the office, they told me only the technician knew that. I asked if I could talk to a technician and they told me no that's just how their policy is. I told the guy sounds like their policy is to shield pricing from the customer and that's not customer service in my opinion and then I have to take my business somewhere else. If this is really how their business runs, I hope they go out of business quickly as we don't need any more of these types of businesses trying to deceive us and take our money.

I was having a tough time finding someone to fix my Midea Air-handler, as it is not a common brand of A/C. When I called 1800Plumber+Air, Ben answered the phone and listened to exactly what the issue was- he took down the model of my unit and actually talked through the repairs with his tech before sending him out. The other companies I called (Goettl and George Brazil)just have an answering service and they do not relay any important info to their techs, thus having them show up only to say they could not fix it or find parts.
Ben listened to my issues and the awful experiences i had at the other places and said he would take care of it for me and that the tech he was sending, Travis - was the best. Travis showed up and quickly fixed my A/C (needed a new control board) and only charged me half of what the others said a new board would cost if they could find one to fit my unit. I will never call anyone else again but these guys for plumbing and A/C!!!

Went to their website online, I asked if someone could come down and give me 2 quote's. 1 on a repair and 2 on a new unit.
So they sent a guy out, the same day, and immediately he just tries to sell me a new unit.
We ask, what about possibly repairing this unit? He goes Oh I don't know what that would cost, I didn't bring my tools with me.
Well that is a load of BS. You brought your work vehicle, a ladder, and a clipboard with you to attempt to sell us a new a/c. I doubt that work vehicle was empty.
I called Anthony James Air Conditioning & Heating LLC and they came down, found 2 bad fuses and got my A/C running for $57.25 instead of the $4,800 these jokers wanted to charge me for a new system.
What a bunch of scam artists! I read some of the 13 complaints they have on the BBB website and it's not the first time they have pulled something like this.
I'm sure it won't be the last.
And I'm sure they'll reply back by saying We can't find you in our database.
lol!

Our water heater broke earlier today aa it started leaking. Top notch service with the facetime call to turn off the heated water valve (I have no idea how to do this myself). A new water heater was installed same day. He showed up on time and got everything set up so we didnt have to go without heated water. His price is great and I would call him again for future services.
Pros:
- Quick Response for emergency services
- Same day turn around
- On time and efficient with the installation
- Great price for an emergency service
- provided maintenance tips
- pointed out the extended warranty for parts
- provides warranty for his work
Cons:
-None
He also does AC so we'll be calling for his services for future maintenance.

I installed a new thermostat in my home but could not get the furnace or anything to turn on afterwards. After doing all I knew to do by putting the old thermostat back on, which still did not work as it had before, I knew I blew up something. I checked everything that I could think of and replaced all the fuses, everything but still to no avail I wasn't able to get my furnace to turn on. I called several companies in the phone book on a Monday morning and was told that I was out of luck until later that week or the beginning of the next by them all. Thankfully I called on Yavapai Plumbing and Heating as luck had it they had a tech in my area already on another job and would send him out right afterwards. Steve the tech arrived at my house at about 1130 that morning/afternoon and by noon had the heater up and running like new. Guess I crossed a wire and blew a thermocoupler which he had a replacement in his van. Very very thankful to have heat tonight in my home, yes surprising for Arizona and needing heat right? Lol. Anyways thanks again Yavapai Plumbing and Heating. Your now my go to business for the future. Oh yes they also gave a military discount for being a veteran!

I called AC by J after hours to come look at my AC unit which stopped working. While they were able to come out they quoted me over $1700 to replace a motor and capacitor. They said it would be cheaper to replace the entire AC unit at $8k.
I contact another AC repair company who was able to just replace the capacitor in under 30 min and costs me 5 times less than what AC by J quoted.

Excellent! These guys, the owners, came right out on a Saturday 112 degrees out, and fixed my system in abut 10 minutes. They even texted me to let me know they were running a bit late!
They showed me what was causing the problem. They had the part with them and done!
HIGHLY recommend.

My experience with West Coast Plumbing was great. I had been wanting to replace one or both of my toilets, but couldn't decide. When Jim came out to give me a quote, his suggestion on what to do, both saved me money from my original plan AND I am much happier with this solution PLUS he was able to do the work that same day. I would highly recommend West Coast Plumbing to friends and strangers alike!

Jesus did the HVAC service and did an excellent job. Very nice guy and very knowledgeable on HVAC systems. I would definitely recommend APES to my friends and neighbors.

I want to thank the team at Chas Roberts for working with me on a repair of my AC. They did some work for me last year and we had some problems with the same issue but the parts were out of warranty. We came to a agreement on a fair price and felt that they went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the service that I received. Mike who works in the shop was great to deal with and my tech who I believe his name was Eben was fabulous.
Thanks
