Office staff is courteous and helpful when scheduling my appointments. We request a specific tech, Dan, because of his patience in completing the task, attention to detail and overall skill in performing the plumbing work. Not to long ago Dan repaired the main water pipe faucet to our house, after my husband was unable to complete it. As a retired union plumber he couln't resist checking Dan's work and was very please with the repair work. We are sending more pulmbing work your way!
Rip off. The technician was here for 25 minutes at the most replace an $80 part and charge me $400. I'm a single woman and didn't know better until the work was done.
Mike came out to fix my ac. Needed new compressor and associated parts. Mike even found cause of compressor blowing up and fixed the part that caused the damage to keep it from happening again. The company is honest, dependable, keep you informed when they will be there. The prices are inline w other quotes but better service and customer service and quality of work.

We bought a combo heat pump unit 3 years ago ( over $5000). Unit would not turn on to heat this year. Called Mike Carroll, salesman who sold us unit. He told me there would be NO CHARGE to come out and check unit. Made appt and two days before date they texted to say THEY changed appt to the next day. Called them and made arrangements to come on the day they were suppose to. Jason showed up on time and determined problem was the thermostat. He said it would be $79.00 for diagnostic service and ARE YOU READY FOR THIS $330.00 to replace the thermostat that costs less than $30.00 at home depot. Told him to contact Mike about service charge and NO THANK YOU on something that should cost less the $100 total to replace.
Bought new thermostat for $28.00 and replaced same in less that 10 mins. Service Tech's make commission on UP SELLING customers. Well don't worry Donley and Mike I'm due to change both my 3 and 3.5 Trane units that are over 20 years old and I won't be checking with YOUR company. You just lost over $10,000 thanks to JASON.
I am only giving 1 star because 0 stars is not an option the service was so horrible.
We have used Donley to service plumbing emergencies at our rentals for about 10 years. Though prices have gone up recently ($650 to scope a main line), we didn't have any customer service issues until today. Unfortunately, it was such extreme rudeness and lack customer service, we will never do business with Donley Plumbing again.
I called due to a plumbing emergency at a rental. After having to make 2 calls to the on-call dispatcher, someone called me back trying to push the service to next week. I explained again, it was an emergency and couldn't wait. I was told it would cost more, but the tech could be out in an hour or two to service. (I understand off hours service costs more. I can't control when things break.) 2 hours later, an extremely rude technician, Walter, called and informed me his tools were broken and he could come out and look at it, but he wouldn't service the emergency. This would incur the off hours service fee, but he wasn't going to fix the issue. In further conversation, he ultimately just didn't want to take the call because the drive was too far. We told him we were going inform the company of his poor service. He said he was the supervisor and it didn't matter.
We will not do business with Donley in the future. If you have a plumbing emergency, I would recommend calling a company with technicians that want to work. Donley wasted over 3 hours of our time today, delaying the ability to triage the plumbing emergency because they were too lazy to come look at the issue. I could have had the issue resolved today if they were just honest and said they didn't want my business when I initially called.
I can understand if Donley couldn't fit in the emergency service, just say so on the initial call. It's unreasonable to waste 3 hours in an emergency situation, then say you don't want to service the call. Since Walter is the supervisor and there's no escalation option, posting to save others the hassle.

I have used Donley for years. I love their maintenance package! It keeps our system running reliably. Super easy scheduling. Juan (my favorite technician) is always on time, super pleasant, does an excellent job of keeping us cool. Thanks for all the years of great service
We had a sizable slab leak occur and needed emergency service to prevent more water loss. Donley's service was amazing! On time, responsive, and so very professional! They brought in a leak specialist and pinpointed the problem in very short order. We couldn't be happier with the service and professionalism!

Our home warranty company (Old Republic Home Protection - the worst) covers some plumbing issues (or are supposed to). But their contractors either aren't very skilled and/or they try to drive up costs so the warranty co will pay more. I've had a few plumbing issues that were fairly simple yet 4-5 different plumbing companies contracted by the warranty company were unable to fix. After 4 mos of a leaky faucet which even I knew needed a replacement cartridge it is finally fixed! At least 4 other plumbers couldn't figure out this latest issue (saying the cartridges were stuck and they couldnt replace) instead said a demolition of my bathroom was the only next step - crazy. I called Donley on a Monday, they came and fixed the faucet on Wednesday. Professional, reliable, honest, trustworthy, straightforward. So refreshing after the horrible experiences we have had. Thank you!

Donely AC/Plumbing, came out yesterday and had the audacity to quote me $14K to repair a broken water main or $20K to replace it! While I was in the midst of a full fledged panic attack, my sister researched and found that it shouldn't be more than $5K. I got a callback from the 2nd pro that I'd left a message for, Everhart Plumbing, and he quoted me $3500 for pipe replacement, plus he changed the head on the outside spigot and added a back-flow valve that was missing for free! I'm so impressed with his work and honesty that I've hired him to install a water filtration system and to replace my kitchen faucet. Really, Donley, $20,000? Price gouging at its best!
The service representative was masked and knew his business - skilled and polite. Good service
The big negative was the price! Very expensive.
Example: we were told that our water pressure was too high (91 lbs) and needed a new main water pressure valve. Donley quoted price: $1100.
Bids from two other plumbers for same repair = $500 - $550.
Another example from Donley. Asked price to repair a mechanism inside toilet tank. $92 from Donley repair tech. Went to Home Depot and bought the parts and after 25 min had the repair made. Cost $6
Good service but too expensive.
We had our A/C units installed a couple of years ago by this company. I was impressed with them then, but was not a Yelper at that time. Had the units serviced today and was even more impressed The people I deal with whether on the phone or in person are so nice. Jerry today fixed the unit He went out of his way to solve the issue. I have experienced other companies that do a quick fix without trying to get to the bottom of the issue.
Jerry was super nice and extremely knowledgeable in what he was doing. Highly recommend this company

Thank you team Donley! We appreciate the great service we can trust. We've Been customers for a number of years and have always had a wonderful experience. This evening our AC stopped working. I called, Ralph was wonderful and Gerrit came to take care of us on the evening of the 4th of July. He was kind, smart and explained all the issues and showed us pictures. Thank you for taking care of us!
Called Donley on a Sunday morning after the other guys that's hard to spell blew us off on a day that was 112. When I called they gave me a window of when the tech would be here to preform a diagnostic. Our tech Enes arrived on time. He checked several things and found out it was only a wire that wasn't making contact. The unit had been serviced last year by another company. I can't say for sure but it looked a little fishy. The unit would work but not blow. The other company probably would have come back and told us we needed a blower motor. Enes fixed the thermostat wire, waited to make sure the unit would start to cool before cleaning up and being on his way.
A company not as trustworthy as Donley, or Enes could have taken us to the cleaners instead of only charging for a service call.
I will use them again for any HVAC needs and highly recommend them and Enes to all of my family and friends.
When a problem occurs that does not run smoothly the manager intimidates instead of practicing good customer service.

Julian and Pedro installed my new A/C System on Wednesday July 3rd. As expected, they demonstrated extreme professionalism during the entire process. They arrived early and completed the job faster than expected. The equipment was installed with absolute perfection. Extremely pleased to have such professionals on the job!
Very happy!!
It sucks when the company that installed your current AC units, still under warranty, don't know how to fix them. Yes...this is the very issue we're having right now, and we've gone two days...no air...in the heat of summer. Watch out for these guys.
The technician was a nice guy, but I don't trust the company he works for!

Answering service on weekends is lousy. Receptionist has difficulty with English language, poor phone connection, does not seem to know what HVAC is. Does not seem to know Donley's business services well.

We used Donley for the first time yesterday to repair our furnace, and we are tremendously pleased.
We had initially heard about Donley in a glowing newspaper article published in the Arizona Republic a few years ago. I saved their name for when we needed a repair company.
They came out the same day we called them, diagnosed the problem quickly, and fixed it for a very reasonable price. I was also given information about a plumbing issue I mentioned, and info about our aging a/c units. No attempt was made to sell us anything - and the technician was polite and very punctual.
I want our service providers to make money so they stay in business and will be there the next time we need them. However, many of us have been taken advantage of by less scrupulous service companies in the past, and are therefore cautious when using a new company.
We will certainly make Donley our go-to company for all furnace, a/c and plumbing needs, and based upon their service yesterday, I can recommend them.
Thanks guys! Keep doing what you're doing and keeping it honest. It's appreciated and will serve you well in the long run.

When having problems with a differential temperature control for my solar water heater, their service man was helpful and put in a new one, with a one-year warranty, for $528. 3 months after the warranty expired, the control failed and Donley would not replace it without starting all over with new labor and new parts. Another company replaced the one Donley put in with an identical one for $200! I realized then how much Donley overcharged me $328 for the first one which lasted only a little over a year.
We started using Donley for our AC service needs after having trouble with some of the other local AC companies. The technicians are always knowledgeable, professional, and honest. When it was time to replace our 15-year-old ac units and air handlers earlier this year, Donley was the only company that we would consider using. Their staff did an amazing job and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and our house was comfortable.
At 4:30 I noticed that the air conditioner was running, but that the air wasn't cool enough. We had purchased our air conditioner from Donley seven years ago, so we looked up that information and called for service. The reply we got is that a technician could be there between 6:00 - 8:00 that evening! Hunter was here by 6:30. When we told him the scenario he diagnosed that it could be one of three things wrong, and checked them all out. Within an hour we were back to cool air, and the faulty part was covered by warranty. Hunter was knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. We could not have asked for a better experience from our moment of panic to being cool two hours later!

I bought a house with a 9 year parts and labor warranty that I assumed we could use. They would not honor the warranty even though the previous owner paid a lot of money for it and it was still in the time period. They also said it would be several days to order the part or I could replace the water heater for a discounted price of only $1,300.
I wanted to say a big thanks you to Danny and Juan for ac repair this last week. They had an old house with a bunch of issues and they fixed the impossible. Both Danny and Juan did a great job and were very friendly. They both broke down the issues so they were easy to understand. I really want to thank them for that. It's hard finding a trustworthy maintenance / ac repair company, if I have any issues I'm definitely going to use these guys again.
Thanks Danny and Juan!
Rueban and Eron both did a great job! Nice guys that just wanted to help and got the job done
We had a Bryant Air-conditioner installed by Donley 2 years ago. This is a wonderful air-conditioner, my neighbor chose a different company (the main one here in Phoenix that advertises constantly). Let me tell you, there is NO comparison! They have had nothing but problems with the other company, even though I suggested Donley, and I sit back and shake my head. Do it right the first time, use Donley! It's a family owned business too!
My wife and I don't use anyone but Donley. They have always taken care of us when we need them the most. From their customer reps to their service techs, they are all very professional, helpful and friendly.
I needed 2 things fixed. A pounding sound in the wall of my shower which happened almost every time we would turn it on, of course it was not making the noise when he was here so the repairman said he could not fix that if he couldn't hear it. He said the broken valve on my toilet might be causing it. I did need the toilet valve and flapper replaced and they charged $234 which was with a discount, which i thought was pretty expensive. I watched him do the job and it was pretty straightforward and basic. The repairman replaced it and it does work properly now, so he did a good job with that. It did not fix the thunking in my wall however, so I still need to have that repaired. Overall they do a good fast job, but in my opinion they are expensive. I am not an expert in plumbing pricing however.
Juan was the Tech that came out!!!! He fixed what needed to be fixed on the spot!!!!! It was late on Monday night when I got the call from my Son,AC died, I live in San Diego and felt panicked! I didn't know who to call and a friend recommended Donley. They came out late at night got it up and running by 10:30. I was at peace by 11:00 Priceless!!!! Juan was very good at explaining everything to my Son and I over the phone, he's awesome!
Called Donley for a second opinion when another company was telling us that we needed to replace our malfunctioning A/C unit for around $7000. Donley's technician, Juan, found and fixed the problem within an hour for under $200. He said that there was no need to replace the unit, just maintain it properly.
We are never calling anyone else but Donley! Honest and friendly service to only repair what needs fixing. Thank you!!

What a terrible experience. We were referred to Donley by a long time customer for A/C maintenance. We called in 2 weeks ago and were given an appointment for today. The time frame we were given was 12 to 5 so I cancelled all of our plans to make sure I was home. We received a call around 9am telling us they were not able to send someone out and had to reschedule. Well I called back and without even an apology I was told the soonest the could come out was a month from now, and the reason there was nobody coming today is because they had several people call out from work. I explained we had already waited 2 weeks and they were going to make us wait another month ... The woman I spoke to said don't worry you can still use your A/C until then ... DUH! So no apology and no type of compensation for waiting, like a couple bucks off. I advised her we were going to a different provider and she told me to have a nice day and hung up.
My experience with Donley Service Center treated me with professionalism and incredible care.
I had other bids from well known AC companies and they were trying to sell me $20,000 units that was way over the top and tried to take advantage of my situation.
I would like to thank Mike Carroll and Mike Donley for their personal attention. They were honest and treated me with respect, they did not try to oversell me and respected my budget. In addition, they provided me with a motor, at no additional charge (since mine was out) to get me through the few days before they were able to install my new AC unit.
Due to Mike Carroll and Carl, his supervisor, and Mike Donley's commitment to servicing their customers, they truly went above and beyond to take care of me.
My unit was installed yesterday and I commend the professionalism and hard work of Pedro, Julian and Jose. They were kind, courteous and hard working men. They were respectful of any debris created from the installation and they cleaned up meticulously, you would never know they were there for the day after they left.
All of the employees that serviced my home, Mike Carroll, Julian, Pedro, Jose, Chris and Kevin were on time and respectful. I will definitely refer my friends.
Our AC unit quit last night! We have been using Donley for 10 years, so we scheduled an appointment and Michael K arrived earlier than expected and gave us the verdict within 10 minutes of arrival. He had us up and running in 20 minutes and also took the time to insure everything else was okay with the rest of unit. We couldn't be happier with the service! Michael K was professional, prompt and thorough. We have used several different companies in our many years living here and Donley has always been the best by far. Honest and fair pricing.
I can't remember how we came upon this company, but dealing with this company last year was very pleasant. After calling several A/C companies, we settled on having this company put in the new A/C unit with a good warranty on it. We had a Carrier unit put on and it was in the middle of the range in terms of price - not the cheapest nor the least expensive.
I think after everything was said and done, it was close to $7K for a new ground unit to adequately cool an almost 1800 sq ft home in central AZ.
They did not try to high pressure sell us or anything. Once we decided and set up the appointment, they came at the time they said they would and installed the outside unit as well as replaced the heater coil or whatever it's called up in the attic.
We were up and running in no time and the electric bills have been lower with a new more efficient unit. It keeps the house cool and works great. We typically don't run the unit in the winter - the heater, so at least part of the year it gets rest.
Would use this company again. Very professional.
The staff here goes above and beyond to make sure your completely satisfied. I would highly recommend!

I can't say enough about Donley! For the price of my spring tune-up, Michael changed 5 filters in my 12' ceilings, fixed a rattle that was driving me crazy in the air handler in my attic, tuned up my 2 units, and flushed out my water heater. That is great service!!

I recently had a failed compressor during the hottest days of the summer. I contracted with Donley for a new unit. Service was super professional from the free estimate, installation, and quality check up. Every member of their team was as knowledgeable as you'd expect from a professional company and their customer service was on-spot, friendly and made all expected follow ups. I would recommend them to anyone. Fair pricing and great customer service. A++

Our heater was not working properly and we called a company in town that we had used before. They came out and said the gas valve was broken and it would be an $800 repair. We have recently worked with Donley for our business and so called them for our home. Rueben came out and was great with customer service. He found that the gas valve was shut off and that was the issue. The other company was trying to make money and Donley just fixed the issue and we paid the service charge. Couldn't be happier that Donley has integrity and the customer experience to go with it. Great job Donley on gaining a new customer.

We have been with this company for over 25 years. After a recent remodel, our A/C unit wasn't pushing enough air to one side of our home. I called on Donley to solve the issue. They modified the work that was done under our original remodeling contractor. When that did not achieve an improvement, they returned and amended their work, and SOLVED the problem. This is just one example from many that causes me to recommend Donley to anyone here in the valley. Thanks to Julian, Kevin, Gary and Jackie for getting it done!
I was recommended Donley recently and am very happy I went with them. We got off to a little rocky start because the tech had the incorrect phone number. But Rueben arrived promptly and prepared. He performed diagnostics on both units and he did such a great job explaining how the unit works in lay mens terms. I am very impressed and will be sure to use Rueben on our future jobs!
I have used them for plumbing and A/C. Telephone reps are very friendly and helpful. Techs are also very friendly and helpful. I think there service is excellent.
The only reason I have to give them four stars is that they made mistakes installing my A/C unit. They were very courteous and respectful of my home but they made mistakes that didn't become clear until several months after the install.
Luckily, they have come back to resolve those mistakes twice over the past 9 months. Both times, there was no charge and it was a considerable amount of work.
I did sign up for the comfort program where they come twice a year to service and check your unit. When they do come, they spend a couple hours checking everything. I don't think the program is any particular deal but they don't cheat you on the service.
I plan on using Donley again in the future. I'm sure they aren't the cheapest but I feel I can trust them. If they do make a mistake, they make it right.

Had Jacob at my home this morning for a service call. He was professional as can be, completed the job and was billed at a very fair rate. Thank you Donley for providing such excellent service.
We had Ryan from Donley come to our house for an AC check-up this week. He was extremely professional and knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of very helpful information about our 12 year old AC, answered all of our questions, and offered suggestions to add to the life and efficiency of the unit. We know that the unit will have to be replaced in the near future and we will definitely be using this company. It was refreshing to have a service person at the house who was well educated. The charge was only $89 and that included the service tech using a 32 foot extension ladder to access our roof.

I called Donley for a plumbing problem at 10:00a.m. and they sent Brian out to my house by 11:30.a.m. I was very impressed with his honesty. He diagnosed and had my problem fixed in a very short order and didn't try to finesse me into some hugely expensive repair that wasn't needed. He also took the time to inspect my 8 yr old water heater and was able to replace a couple parts that were obviously corroded and not in the shape they needed to be in. I was happy to purchase their inexpensive (I have refused to buy others due to ridiculous prices) annual maintenance policy which covers inspections on A/C, plumbing, and my hot water heater. I highly recommend Donley and Brian and won't ever be calling anyone else. P S. They installed my new toilets 4 years ago and I was very happy with the service back then as well which is the reason I called them again. Listed on BBB as family owned and A+ company.

Taking the time tonight to YELP about my fav companies and this one comes to mind. Timely, efficient and excellent service - you can't ask for more. We have Donley service our AC units once a year in our home & businesses and it works fabulously. And the biggest nod of approval I can give - one company told me to replace one AC unit at Kidstop (ahhh 4 years ago???) Donley came and inspected and their suggestion - let's repair this... and it is still going strong today. Donley saves me money - I like that!
My air conditioner went on the blink Sunday morning. I had seen the Donley truck at me neighbors, so I called for the phone number.
The Service Center person that took my call was friendly & knowledgeable. The serviceman arrived within a couple of hours and knew exactly what the problem was. He was in and out within 30 minutes.
Fantastic Service, in a day when most companies pay lip service to Customer Service. Thank you Donley!

I had a Donley Service technician come out last week to look at my A/C unit as we were having air circulation problems in the house. Unfortunately I had diagnosed the issue correctly, so it was left unresolved. The true problem showed its head this week. Donley Service Center sent a technician out at no charge and this time around we found the problem. Matt T. was outstanding, quickly found the problem, showed me what was happening, and fixed it! Things are working well. Great service from this company.
Like Forrest Gump's box of chocolates, when you need an air conditioner repairman you never know what you're going to get. More often than not one goes with the flashy newspaper ads or brightly colored trucks, all paid for with their big profit margin, or maybe from mailings offering a free inspection (just to get them in the door). These often are the guys who will praise you for your decision to call them because if you had waited you would have suffered a fire or flood or the plague or locusts or worse. They use words like: what you have is too old, parts are too hard to get, or the compressor was the wrong size for the house to begin with. And will likely add: oh by the way, you need to replace the unit in the attic and all the ducting too because it is leaking and cooling the whole attic and is about to fail/ won't accommodate the new compressor/is a fire hazard or whatever. I haven't been up in my attic for years and am too smart to mess with the compressor so I must rely on what the tech tells me. That's scary.
Years ago I saw a 60 minutes spot on this subject. I was living in California at the time but this happened to take place in Phoenix. As I recall, legitimate technicians selected a couple of homes with adequately functioning systems, then did something minor to make them fail. Several local companies were called and each recommended at least major repairs or replacement of the unit, estimates in some cases in the tens of thousands of dollars. The technician in one company looked the system over, replaced the fuse or tightened up a hose or whatever and didn't charge a cent. Said he was in the area anyway. Pretty amazing I thought. That tech was from Donley Service Center.
So last summer when I noticed my fifteen year old system was working pretty hard cooling off my great room I called Donley. A technician by the name of Chris Hill came out, went through a thorough diagnostic procedure, added refrigerant and cleaned up both compressors, and for less than $350 that was it. His comment: Operating normally for age and condition. And by the end of the summer we had saved way more than the cost of the service.
A bathroom hot water leak in two places under the slab necessitated another call to Donley last month. Josh Crabtree, ably assisted by Brian and especially Pat, leak detective extraordinaire from Artisan Leak Detection. Pat did a masterful job finding the leaks and orchestrating the complex task of isolating the lines which were leaking and rerouting one and creating a second line directly from the water heater. Josh and Brian took care of the actual work, and did so to my complete satisfaction, finishing it all in one day.
Donley Service Center merits my strongest possible recommendation.

Waited five hours for a tech to come. Called twice and told they were running behind and then second call was the tech had a flat tire. The problem was not resolved after $200+ and was told to call next time my house got hot. It's warm now and i will be calling another AC company. VERY DISAPPOINTED at the technician's I don't care attitude End of the day and he was tired and could have cared less. DONT USE DONLEY!!
Could not be happier - friend recommended they came out the same day (its 108 degree day) found the problem fixed the problem cleaned out the units and showed me where previous company had failed.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Same day emergency service --- ac unit froze up with dirty filters. $240 for the service 80 minutes work and they will come back next week for another service visit ---90. Tried to sell me the$185 plan. Ac working again at least.
Scott at Donley referred me to *exactly* the right company (DRACO Air) for completing a new, R-22, SEER 13, split-system installation in my home with the equipment I purchased (condenser unit and air handler) just before the ban on manufacturing new HCFC air conditioners and heat-pumps went into effect (R-22 units seem to function better in the extreme Arizona heat). The accounting lady who answered my (first) call earlier in the day was very friendly and helpful.
I called them for chemically cleaning my air conditioner coils, they were prompt, courteous, and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them. Now I think I will replace my current maintenance company and hire them.
