Best Plumbing Repair in Durham NC
Had Dylan, with Mo Flo Plumbing, install a new full bathroom in my basement, which included jack hammering some of the concrete slab in order to lay new plumbing lines for the toilet and tub. Everything was done per code and City inspector even came out and approved his work. This was a major job that spanned several weeks, due to multiple inspections at different stages, and every time Dylan was on time and aways professional with the inspectors. We were also very pleased with his work and the wife is happy, which is all that matters in the end, lol. His prices also seem to be fair and reasonable. Not expensive but not dirt cheap. My impression of Dylan is that he is sincerely a very nice guy and always strives to please the customer. We will always call him back for future needs!

Great guy and very helpful! Told me how to fix the leak under my kitchen sink over the phone in about 2 minutes. No charge. Now of course I am giving this review having not actually had any on site work done. So keep that in mind but I will give them my business in the future if needed.

I have had a history of bad plumbing experiences living in the old condo I live in. I had a plumber, Shaun, from Legacy come to my condo to look at two different plumbing issues I had with two different toilets. He quickly diagnosed the issues and repaired both toilets for little over a $100 (including parts). One of the toilets had an issue that many plumbers just wrote off as bad pipes or a larger issue that would have cost a lot more time/money. I was impressed that Shaun was able to diagnose and repair the problem so quickly and I was happy that it didn't take much time or money on my part.
I highly recommend this company.

It's official. We are loyal to Acme plumbing from now on, thanks to Clay and Norman.
No other plumbing company will set foot in our house because these guys just blew us away with their professionalism, stellar customer service, exceptional expertise about historic homes, and fair pricing.
Our century-old iron sewage decided to go on strike back in October, when a literally and figuratively sh*tty acquaintance participating in a multi-household yard sale ravaged at least one jumbo roll of toilet paper for an hours-long diarrheic escapade that would put Mt. St. Helen's to shame. My husband managed this and another cleanup on his own to the tune of $500. (Yes, it is a shining testament to my husband's worth that he will wade through a pond of poop for our family. He's a keeper.)
We had two different plumbing companies out since the disaster. Both times, technicians were perplexed, demonstrating beyond a shadow of a doubt that they had no idea what they were talking about; yet each submitted specious proposals with estimates that made my nose bleed.
Finally, we had the sense to call Acme. Speaking with Norman on the phone was the unexpected jewel of my week. He delivered genuine validation about our trials that warmed my heart. His sense of humor and professionalism helped me feel calmer. And his honesty and candor inspired trust that I couldn't imagine feeling a) over the phone or b) in my first conversation with someone. Norman listened extremely carefully, and in reflecting back to me the complicated information I conveyed, quickly picked up on the esoteric and challenging nature of our plumbing mystery. He said he knew just the right plumber to send to our house if we were willing to wait just two more days.
Enter Clay and his young assistant. Clay knows old houses. He's got a sharp intelligence, expansive knowledge, formidable creative problem-solving skills, and some awe-inspiring grit. Of all the great workers we've had in this old house over the years, we've never been so impressed with a team's GSD attitude and work ethic.
After 10 hours of totally disgusting work, he sleuthed out some almost hilariously bad decisions that past owners had made. They paved a driveway over the original drainage , leaving no clean out access, then circumnavigated the house with about ~300 ft of new piping just to avoid doing the job right the first time to tie into the original line. The world's greatest inspector could never have discovered all this craziness, but Clay's innovative problem solving compelled him to search for the line far away from where anyone would expect to find it.
This is already a long story. Suffice to say that we now have clarity on the issue and a solid plan moving forward. The cherry on top is that Acme connected us with partners of theirs who consult with clients about how to most effectively present claims to homeowners' insurance.
If you despise band aid fixes and wasting money on repairs done by inexperienced tradespeople, learn from our saga. Get it done right the first time. Pick up the phone, call Acme, and get a legit hero like Clay to come save the day.

Roman and his son are top-notch plumbing professionals! This was my second time having him (Roman) service our plumbing needs and am thrilled with his experience/knowledge. He is fair in pricing and honest and straight forward about the repairs needed. He never tries to sell/fix something that truly doesn't need to be repaired. I trust him-enough said.

Awesome communication about getting our appointment set up. Then their technician let us know he was on the way. He took care of the issue installing a new spigot. Highly recommend.

I was left confused and disappointed. JVG came highly recommended. I can only conclude that the minor job I needed wasn't worth their time. I had an issue with my toilet and also wanted quotes on several other jobs. The initial response and visit happened quickly. I was committed to a toilet rebuild but didn't have time for that to be done during the initial consult; I was available any day thereafter. I was told I'd get a quote later that day for all four jobs we discussed, though I was ready for at least to the toilet repair asap. I heard nothing back for a week. When I called and emailed and texted, it was still several days more before I heard anything. The response I received was just an estimate for the jobs with no inquiry about when I wanted something scheduled. The prices for the other jobs were higher than we originally discussed, but I replied that I had hoped to have the toilet job done. I had been giving them the benefit of the doubt (things come up, this was around Thanksgiving), and I trusted they were reliable and didn't look elsewhere. But I never heard anything back, once again. It's baffling. If a simple toilet rebuild isn't cost effective for them to do, they could simply tell me they didn't have room in their schedule. But I heard nothing for essentially a month. I don't relish writing this, but I can't recommend them.

I really wanted to 5 star this company but because of the fact that I paid too much and still have the same problem, I can't. My technician was called for a clogged toilet in my home. He arrived on time and was very courteous. However, when I told him what the problem was and what needed to be done he decided to just snake the line instead. I know the reason for the clog because I have this issue every 2 years. The line drained but only temporarily. I paid him $250. Outrageous just to snake a line. Btw, I paid the last plumber the same to dig up landscaping and clear the line (much more work). Anyway, here I am 1 week later and the toilet is clogged again. When I called rapid repair the tech said it's going to be $59 for the call out and additional for whatever work they do. Seriously?! The problem was never fixed just bandaged! I know plumbing is not guaranteed but I didn't flush a horse down the line in a week. Thanks guys. Calling my old plumber now.

Brown Brothers helped relocate some water pipes in my garage to enable me to install a washer and ventless dryer. They did the job when others said it was impossible, charged me far less than another quote, and organized a plumbing inspection within days of the work being completed. they were at all times efficient and courteous. I will definitely be using them again.

I called Blantons to come and look at my tankless hot water heater that wasn't giving out hot water. When I called, they told me there would be a $116 service charge and then possible charge if something needed to be fixed. Of course, I understand that.
The technician comes out to my house, takes a look at water heater, breaks a lever on the box next to water heater. Connects a loose wire. Technician was there less than 40 minutes. Then he comes around with his invoice and he charges me $360 for diagnostics. Never told me prior to doing anything that it would cost this much. My total was $417, for less than 40 minutes of work. He also put in the invoice that he diagnosed the problem for 45 minutes and then took 30 more minutes to fix. Not true, I have it on my cameras and I stayed with technician the whole time.
I paid the bill because I didn't know what else to do. I immediately called the company to speak to them about this matter, was asked how much I think I should have to pay. Then was told that the manager said I shouldn't have paid and he can't give refund now that I have already paid but he would give $50 credit.. no thanks! I asked to speak to the manager and he conveniently just left to go to the field, he was supposed to call me by end of day and surprise.. he never did.
I would never recommend this company to anyone. Terrible customer service and seems like they adjust their prices based on what they think they can get away with.

What an awful, awful experience with this company. My warranty company contracted them to fix our upstairs unit. It took 4 service calls over a period of 5 weeks to get our AC fixed. Their customer service agents were catty, showed no sympathy and even less urgency with scheduling appointments for their technicians.
The first appt they gave us an 8am-12pm arrival window. They called at 11:55 to let me know they would miss the window AND that there was another appointment ahead of us. My wife had taken the day off of work to be home and then they couldn't even give us an ETA for the afternoon. Off to a terrible start.
I understand that diagnosing a problem on the first call may be challenging, so they filled up with refrigerant and left, saying to call us if it goes out again. Sure enough, it did within days. It then took 5 business days for them to get the next tech to come out to actually diagnose the problem. The tech sent the request off to the warranty company to order the replacement parts.
Bell Cow then wouldn't let me reschedule the 3rd appointment to install the replacement parts until after the parts arrived in their facility. So after waiting 5 business days + a weekend, we had to add another 3 business days before their tech could come out again. No sympathy and no urgency during the hottest month of the hottest year on record.
On the third visit, I specifically asked for a phone call prior to their arrival since they've been late before. They just showed up without a call - barely within the appointment window. Their install techs weren't all that friendly (one was shirtless 90% of the time). They did the fix and got the air working, only for it to fail within days for the 3rd time.
The fourth visit actually went well. Their tech, Sam, said that the install techs inadvertently knocked off one of the valve caps causing the refrigerant to bleed out.
Long story short. Do not use them under any circumstance. If your warranty company selects Bell Cow, do everything in your power to get another contractor. They do shoddy work, are extremely poor communicators, and frankly don't seem to value the warranty customer. We were without air in all 3 of our bedrooms for the better part of 30 days (a couple days of respite in between) and they didn't seem to care in the slightest that they were having to make 4 service calls on the same unit.

They got here and gave me a quote that's unreasonably high. Although I have communicated my issue clearly beforehand and they should be able to give me a quote without having to be here. In the end I had to pay for the dispatch fee while fixing the issue myself. Genuinely bad experience, feels like a trap.
