11/23/2018: Once again, Mark solved a plumbing problem for me, this time in my laundry room. I needed more space for a new washer and dryer. Mark assessed the problem, explained a couple of possible solutions, and gave me a price quote for each. I chose the less costly solution, and it turned out great.
Mark moved my laundry tub (new tub and fixtures) six inches over to the side wall, which solved the space issue.
As always, he did a great job and went the extra mile to correct the main problem, along with another small leak nearby. I really appreciate his attention to detail.
He's always on time, explains things clearly, performs work thoroughly, and cleans up the area before leaving. Mark is a real pro!

At least it ended up OK.
I needed two faucets replaced, one in a laundry room and one in a bathroom. Yelpers and previous experience led me to call Nelson Brothers.
The plumber arrived within the generous appointment time window. He was friendly and pleasant, starting his work on the bathroom faucet. This job was pretty routine and was accomplished in short order.
The second faucet in the laundry room was more involved, but the plumber figured out a way to shorten the time and lessen the complexity of the installation. So far, so good, right?
Not quite.
As he was in his truck writing up the bill, I decided to test the faucet in the laundry room. I opened the left handle of the faucet and the water ... just ... kept ... getting ... colder.
Then, I twisted the right handle and soon had a streaming, steaming flow of hot water.
Yup, he hooked the faucet up backward. Space was tight and the area was dark, but this is sort of like Intro to Plumbing 101, isn't it?
I told him about what I found. He crawled up under there again and fixed it in a couple of minutes.
$267.00 and 2.5 stars.

So thankful for Allied Plumbing! I found them on Yelp this morning after finding an awful sewer backup in the basement. I reached out via Yelp to ask for a quote, and received a response within a few minutes. The price I was quoted was very reasonable, and thankfully someone was able to come out within an hour and a half to help fix our issue.
Steve arrived well within the quoted time frame, and quickly assessed the situation. He made a plan and also a backup plan, and got to work quickly. Thankfully his first plan worked well, and he was able to clear the blockage.
I'm very happy with their service and impressed with the quick response, the quoted price (which is what I paid as well) and with Steve's hard work. I thought it would be a nightmare to get someone out here on a weekend (much less the weekend after a holiday) but Steve handled the problem. I will be using Allied Plumbing for future projects, hands down - and I recommend them to anyone reading this review. Thanks again, Steve & Allied Plumbing!

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I appreciate the excellent service.

Unfortunately our water heater decided it wanted to wash our basement floor more than it wanted to wash us this past weekend. After striking out trying to find a company to help us out, we luckily heard about Brock Mechanical from a local Facebook group. My wife called the company and immediately spoke to Douglas who is the owner. He was very engaged, seemed genuinely interested in understanding the situation, took his time, and went out of his way to fit in a late-afternoon visit from one of his team.
We had Ken out a few hours later, fitting us into his schedule to review the situation first hand, performed some diagnostic work (e.g. water softener settings; water hardness test) to check if there may have been a conflating issue that would cause the heater to fail. On the spot he was able to give me a quote for a replacement installation with the company sorting out the warranty claim for us. He coordinated that for the very next morning.
Yesterday we had Kyle out bright and early to take care of the installation. He was also great to interact with, kept the house clean, communicated a lot of details about the work so I knew what was going on, and identified a number of less-than-ideal (bordering on dangerous) issues from the prior heater installation that was done by another company. He remediated all of those issues and the quality was very apparent versus what I had before this team.
Even with these two visits, extra quality improvements, and ~24 hour turnaround end-to-end, the final bill came in UNDER the already reasonable quote. I think it's impossible to nail every job perfectly, but it's important that you work with a company who wants to provide that level of service every time they take on work. My sense is that this tight-nit team understands how to take care of people, have real pride in their work, and appreciate your business. They spoke to each other often to sync up on ideas/concerns/get feedback; they clearly trust each other and know that using their collective knowledge is always better than trying to be right alone.
While I hope to have less emergent problems in the future, I at least know who is getting my phone call and money for any plumbing needs from now on. Thanks guys, we appreciate your time, expertise, and customer service!

Another reason to go with Aaron Swift Plumbing ... apparently I over paid my bill by $100 and they mailed me a check. I would of never known. Thanks!

We had an exceptional experience with MItch the Plumber. The company accommodated a next day appointment and sent Bob, who arrived on time, understood our problem and fixed our leaky shower valve. Bob was pleasant and efficient. And the price was reasonable. Overall, this was as good an experience as one can ever expect...we'll use the company the next time we have a plumbing issue.

Tried to price gouge me last Saturday on a water heater malfunction that they installed 7 months ago. Said I needed a thermocoupler but the pilot tube was actually cracked. I needed a whole new water heater which was warrantied by the manufacturer but I had to have another plumber come out because this plumber left because I wouldn't pay him 400 dollars to install a new thermocoupler. Not professional, safe, or customer service oriented. Note the plumber just called concerning this review. He called my husband a liar and threatened to come over to our house because he only lives a couple blocks away to kick my b@@ch a$$ husband's butt. Very unprofessional and threatening

I messaged them on yelp got a reply and a next day appointment within 20 minutes. Incredible customer service. When they came out and determined that my issue wouldn't require their services they gave me some advice and insisted I didn't owe them anything for coming out. If I ever need the services they provide in the future they'll be my first phone call. Highly recommend them.

I had an emergency with a frozen pipe that had not yet burst. Even though they were busy, they came right over and flushed the icy sludge out of the pipes and no damage. They gave me some ideas to address the causes and prevent any repeat of this problem.

I gave 1 star because this is the only option. We received a quote from them, attempted to schedule them to come out to perform the service and they wanted to charge us a higher rate because we didn't use one of their contractors! How unethical can you get!

SCAM!!! Paid $194.41 to have them come out and fix a slow draining toilet. First plumber came out and only put an auger in, then said it would take $400 to remove the toilet if needed. Said the drain was fixed and left. 5 days later, same problem happened, and I had to call them back. A different plumber came out and did the exact same thing. Of course, 2 days later, the toilet backed up again. Instead of paying RotorRooter AGAIN (to fix a problem they never fixed), I called a local plumber and he was able to get the drain unclogged immediately!! TOTAL SCAM!! They do whatever they can to get you to take the toilet off... DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!

Skip this guy. He is a rip off artist. Oh, he seems nice and friendly at first but he'll take you for what you have and do a bad job. He put in new pipes in the basement because sewage was flowing into the basement and he said new pipes would stop that. They didn't. He didn't finish the job properly. After tearing up the cement, putting in new pipes, he screwed up laying the fresh concrete down. He didn't have enough cement to contour the slope of the floor to direct water into the drain so he said he would be back in a few days to finish the floor. He never came back. And when sewage started seeping back into the basement, I called him, NO ANSWER. I text messaged him, NO RESPONSE. I emailed him, NO REPLY. So now he has my money and I have the same problem as I did before but now the sewage is flowing into the basement through brand new pipes.

Came right out on a Saturday when I called. Was able to get a job completed right before a Holiday. Stephen was professional, courteous and prompt. I appreciated doing business with him. Definitely recommend.

Grotesquely overpriced! I had them out to look at a hot water heater that was not working. I was given two options, 1. Fix it for $750, 1. Replace it for $1,950. Having been in the rental property business for some time, I knew that was a ridiculous price. I called someone else and had the water heater replaced for $850. I won't ever call Hoover again.

I have used GIll Plumbing and Heating for many years and for many different homes I have lived in throughout the Metro Detroit area. Always reliable and dependable. Never need to second guess if they are charging you too much or doing repairs that are not needed. You will not need to call them to come out and fix something a second or third time. They do the job correctly the first time and are very honest. They serve many elderly residents with in the downriver community and will never turn away their call, even during storms, bad weather and on the weekends. Truely an honest, familiy owned business you can count on.
