Ran all over looking for a 30 dollar part to fix a $200 faucet. Eric fixed the aerator on the spot and saved me $25. Thanks for the fantastic service.

had them install a kitchen sink faucet that was a deep sink and hard for me to access as I am a senior citizen. Also I needed a leaking gas pipe fitting replaced at the same time, both jobs were done in speedy time and was a quality repair and installation. Never had a problem later with any leaks or other things. They cleaned up after the job and the price quoted was very reasonable. I now have another new problem and will be calling them back.

I lived through the Great Rainfall of 2014 (also known as the 500 Year Storm), watching helplessly as water poured out the basement drain in my home. I, like 75% of Huntington Woods and much of Berkley, faced a total downstairs renovation and gutting of many belongings. This experience gave me a strong incentive to build up a good relationship with a local plumber able to respond quickly and comprehensively.
Now that evil drain cannot be cemented in and somehow I cannot convince the city to tear out their antiquated 1920s sewer and stormwater system for something remotely modern. Blah blah taxes angry citizens blah. The next best option is a reliable plumbing service, and Nelson Brothers fits the bill. I like their proximity to Berkley, for one, and their understanding for our finicky piping situation around here.
One boring rainstorm this last month caused my floor drain to backup and after a bit of Doctor Googling, I suspected the problem to be clogged traps. A bit of foul 'sewer gas' smell accompanied flushing toilets or running the washing machine. I called at 9:30 AM. They had someone out by 2 PM at the house.
Jesse showed up on time, then went to town on that questionable drain using his magic tools and hocus-pocus hands, sawing through the blockages and helpfully reporting I have an evil oak ent in the front yard trying to infiltrate my pipes. Why on earth an oak thinks a sewer/house outlet pipe is worth breaking and entering like a looter in a hurricane, I have no idea. This will have to be a secondary repair that rips up the yard, but he cleared out enough debris to allow me comfort when doing simple tasks like having a shower or running the laundry.
In and out in an hour, he charged us about $180. A visit and diagnosis would be $90 if we did nothing, another $20 if you're outside the area. Fortunately my place is all of a mile and change from their head office so no problem there. Further, Jesse did a great job informing me about my options to avoid an expensive yard rip out to fix a pipe, to the tune of annual maintenance. Sure, it's not perfect, but I'll take $180 annually over hundreds of dollars if I weren't already planning to replace my front lawn and take the evil oak to task.
Prompt service, rapid corrections, and top notch customer service make me a happy customer and Nelson Brothers is firmly established as my plumbing company of choice.
PROTIP: If you're not sure about having work done, know you'll pay about $90 for having them come out for a consultation.

I called 2 other local plumbers (during business hours), and got voice mails. I left a message at one but didn't get a return call for 5 hours. Mitch answered the phone and came over within the hour. He was able to replace our broken hot water heater within the day, and by the time i got home that afternoon I had hot water! Was very pleased with the prompt service and reasonable price. Would use him again and recommend him to anyone needing a plumber.

Steve is my go to guy for all my plumbing needs. Always a great job, using quality parts and displaying expert skills.
I usually pay with cash, so I'm not sure about paying with credit cards.

I have been buying properties for 17 years and Michael accomplished what few other plumbers will even attempt. he was referred to me from a friend in common and went and looked at my clogged drain the same day. I had six inches of water in the basement AND my stairs to the basement collapsed from the previous plumber who attempted it and broke them with his heavy equipment. Mike went the same day, got his equipment down there and worked on the drain until he got it freed up. excellent communication. great pricing and incredible service. thanks Mike. I appreciate the excellent service.

I called on Sunday nite, Micheal pick up took my info and said there is diagnostic
/service fee of $39.95. He said the person doing the estimate will call between 10a-12p for the next day. I was waiting for the call but I never receive one by noon so called again. Michael said he would call me back since he needed to contact the plumber on his eta. A few minutes pass by then I get a call saying he is running late by 30 minutes. I rush home to get thing ready. Just to find out that it was later then expected and the plumber called saying on what street he was on. The van was not marked and Brandon politely introduce himself. I showed him where the rusted out sewage pipe is leaking from that need replacing. He wanted to see the upstairs bathroom and attic space to figure out an accurate estimate to give. I had to remove a couple stuff in the attic since he wanted to see and he offered to help.He wasn't able to see still because the paneling in the attic. Through out this Brandon was very talkative. 15 minutes to look over plumbing. Took about 45 min to get it written out since he gave three estimates and said he would give me a deal. All in all it was informative but the pipe I need replace was in a tight spot and he mention that they weren't responsible if something else gets damaged. I was like mmm. So I paid the diagnostic fee.

Unfortunately our water heater decided it wanted to wash our basement floor more than it wanted to wash us this past weekend. After striking out trying to find a company to help us out, we luckily heard about Brock Mechanical from a local Facebook group. My wife called the company and immediately spoke to Douglas who is the owner. He was very engaged, seemed genuinely interested in understanding the situation, took his time, and went out of his way to fit in a late-afternoon visit from one of his team.
We had Ken out a few hours later, fitting us into his schedule to review the situation first hand, performed some diagnostic work (e.g. water softener settings; water hardness test) to check if there may have been a conflating issue that would cause the heater to fail. On the spot he was able to give me a quote for a replacement installation with the company sorting out the warranty claim for us. He coordinated that for the very next morning.
Yesterday we had Kyle out bright and early to take care of the installation. He was also great to interact with, kept the house clean, communicated a lot of details about the work so I knew what was going on, and identified a number of less-than-ideal (bordering on dangerous) issues from the prior heater installation that was done by another company. He remediated all of those issues and the quality was very apparent versus what I had before this team.
Even with these two visits, extra quality improvements, and ~24 hour turnaround end-to-end, the final bill came in UNDER the already reasonable quote. I think it's impossible to nail every job perfectly, but it's important that you work with a company who wants to provide that level of service every time they take on work. My sense is that this tight-nit team understands how to take care of people, have real pride in their work, and appreciate your business. They spoke to each other often to sync up on ideas/concerns/get feedback; they clearly trust each other and know that using their collective knowledge is always better than trying to be right alone.
While I hope to have less emergent problems in the future, I at least know who is getting my phone call and money for any plumbing needs from now on. Thanks guys, we appreciate your time, expertise, and customer service!

Took until Thursday to get the estimate. Was told they were going to call Get our email and ask a few questions. They never did and then when i called asking about the estimate they weee like well we don't have your email ? Well you have my phone number right ? So could have called. I ask if they can install a tankless ?? She says o we will have sonso call when he is back at the office. That was 11 am. 5 pm i call back like hey just trying to get this estimate ... since i wanted this installed by now not still waiting for the estimate. Oh well he's not back probably Monday!! What. We will see if they call tomorrow. I'll
Bet someone $39 they won't .

SCAM!!! Paid $194.41 to have them come out and fix a slow draining toilet. First plumber came out and only put an auger in, then said it would take $400 to remove the toilet if needed. Said the drain was fixed and left. 5 days later, same problem happened, and I had to call them back. A different plumber came out and did the exact same thing. Of course, 2 days later, the toilet backed up again. Instead of paying RotorRooter AGAIN (to fix a problem they never fixed), I called a local plumber and he was able to get the drain unclogged immediately!! TOTAL SCAM!! They do whatever they can to get you to take the toilet off... DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!

Ronald Brosseau has 2 companies listed and 2 websites for the same thing - he's listed as Ron's plumbing & heating
ronsplumbingandheating.c… and also Iron Pipe Plumbing
ironpipeplumbingdetroit.…
Don't be fooled by his low prices and the promise that he won't charge if he can't do anything. He charged me $40 and claimed he opened the sewer 'half-way'. I was too sick to double-check. The truth is, he left the back door to my house unlocked, the cap is missing from the clean-out drain, and the clean-out drain has been moved to the center of the room. I can no longer use any part of my plumbing. IT'S MUCH WORSE!
Oh, and he was very, very rude.

T&G, a tarnished brand. Beware of their parasitic pricing for plumbing service. I was quoted about $750 for a shower cartridge replacement and replacement for two toilet tank guts. I couldn't believe it. Told the serviceman I would think about it. Went on youtube and saw how simple the repairs were. For less than $100 in parts from Home Depot and roughly an hour of my time all items repaired. As I am sure their serviceman was significantly more skilled than I am (a regular homeowner). Surely it would have taken him less time. Charging north of $500 per hour for labor is crazy, Manager called and attempted to explain, overhead..blah....blah. He even said that they stand behind their work like that was something special and unique to their company, and certainly not worth paying such high labor rates. THis is more than you would pay for the top lawyers in S.E. Michigan would charge. I do not recommend T&G.

I wish I could give zero stars.
These people were subcontracted by the project manager. He tells me that he will never subcontract to them again.
Where to start? Was it..
--the damaged floor?
--the burnt cabinet?
--the inability to recognize which way water flows?
--the inability to identify the main water shut-off valve?
--the damage to a valve unrelated to the job at hand?
--the helpful removal of spare parts without my permission?
--the mess left behind?
There are so many things that went wrong that were caused by this company that I heartily recommend that you never, ever, ever use them for any job. If you find out that a contractor has subbed a job to them, refer the contractor to me and I will be happy to provide pictures and descriptions of the damage they caused.

Terrible customer service. Our rental water heater broke, leaked all over floor, ruining floor, and they say they can't come until Friday. Today is Saturday, one week with no hot water? They seem to think nothing wrong with this. We went and bought a tank at Lowes and had it installed same day. $1000 and done. We pay between 50 and 60 dollars every 3 months to rent, times 20 years. Lots of money to get no service when you need it. Can't wait to call them to cancel except customer service department is closed today, go figure. Oh yeah, now we need a new floor too. Thanks Reliance, for nothing!
