I am really impressed with the professionalism, quality of work, and level of care that Avi had in my home. We had a major issue with the sump pump, and he was able to diagnose the issue and fix it very quickly. It also did not cost an arm and a leg to fix the issue, there were no hidden costs as with many other contractors. I would recommend Heil plumbing, and especially Avi, to anyone.

My mother called Bill to fix a clogged toilet in her DC townhouse basement.  He was prompt and professional and did the job.  When it became clogged again 4 weeks later he brought the video camera and worked for hours in less than ideal conditions (hot & humid - he was sweating like a rain forest) to find the problem in the 70 feet of sewer pipe that runs from her basement toilet to the main line in the street.  He showed us the video, thoroughly explained the problem and worked to repair it.  Good plumber and really nice guy!

A good friend of mine owns his own plumbing business in Texas so I hold a pretty high standard when it comes to good plumbing service.  I must admit, I don't know a lot about plumbing, but I think I have a general idea of fair prices and what kind of work is needed.  I've used Mahon Plumbing twice for two different homes in the last two years.  They sent out different plumbers both times.  Plumbers in general are pricey so you may want to do some comparisons, but they are friendly, stick to the discounts they offer and do decent work.

Writing to review my second experience with this company! Jay from the Drain Guys is exactly the person you want on your team when it comes to resolving a household plumbing issue. He answered my calls on the first ring and even picked up the phone after business hours to walk me through why they used the water heater that they did. He and Rich's installation was super quick and they were both very professional. They put down extra tarps and plastic so as to not get dirt or water on any carpet or flooring, which was a very nice touch. Highly recommend using the Drain Guys for any plumbing or other issues. Far far better than a big competitor. Thanks Jay and Rich!

Over price. Tried to charge me over two hundred dollars an hour to flush/ purge a tank. Did they get a PHD in plumbing. My proctologist doesn't charge that much an hour.

These guys were great.   I had a pipe burst and blow water all over my floor.  I called a couple places and got various versions of we will get right back with you.   I called these guys and got right through and a plumber was at my house in 15 minutes.  He diagnosed the problem quickly, got what water back on they could and the next day came back out and fixed the problem.  The price was reasonable , the service quick and the plumber tidy and courteous.   I'd use them again.

After: picture was of bathroom being remodeled. Friendly workers, he responded to messages and contacts quickly. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Upstairs shower was leaking down into the kitchen. He assessed it fairly quick and did the repairs! Quality work for sure!

Very prompt and quick repair. Quote received before repair performed. Explained why it happened and what needed to be done to fix it. Also recommended a few things in the basement, like insulating the ductwork prior to sheetrock. Very nice crew. :)

They don't do the kind of work I was seeking but were just incredibly helpful over the phone and pointed me in the right direction.

My shower had a recurring, very mysterious leak. Three other plumbers had tried to identify the problem, but it was David and Juan who were able to figure it out! Not only did they identify the issue but they were also incredibly kind, timely, respectful, and communicative. Overall, (given the leak) a great and pleasant experience!

So I cannot say enough about Ryan of Elite Plumbing.  First off, of the 20 plumbers we called late at night that claim to be 24/7, he's the only one that actually was.  He's the only one that returned our call at 11:00 pm AND offered to come out at that time to assist.  I actually told him no and we could wait until morning and there he was when the sun came up!  Efficient, courteous and a local guy building a very customer focused and honest business.  I've told everyone I know about him today.  I cannot recommend Ryan enough and am so happy that quite by accident I stumbled across my plumber from here on out.  Do yourself a favor and support this local young man.  It's a win-win, believe me.

During the recent cold spell, my pipes burst and I had water on three floors on my two-family vintage DC rowhouse. What a mess!  I called like 5 plumbers with good ratings on yelp and no one responded except Plumbtastic.  They came out and in less than 20 minutes had identified the burst pipe - awkwardly placed behind the kitchen sink - and replaced it all for only $250.  A contractor I spoke to earlier who couldn't come out estimated it would cost $700 - $1,000!

While I had them there I asked Plumbtastic for an estimate on installing a shower (just the plumbing only) in a tiny space in my basement bathroom.  Their estimate was less than one third another estimate I had received.

Pablo was amazing. Professional and ontime. Would hire him again in a heartbeat. He was much cheaper then his competition as well.

I started using Roto-Rooter for my plumbing needs in my condo (replacing water lines and valves, fixing toilets, replacing faucets, etc.) many years ago.  So far no complaints.

Christian responded immediately and was able to fix my problem the same day. Turned out to be an easy fix, so he was very fast. My only gripe is the cost for work. $80 to replace just a flapper for another one of my toilets seemed a little pricey to me, especially when I already had the replacement.

Patrick, and his team- Steven, Alex and Pat Wolfe,  installed a tankless water heater , 3 toilets and a kitchen faucet and they were great!!  I will definitely call A Better Plumber for any future plumbing needs. I will encourage all my neighbors here in Solomons to call you the next time they may need a plumber.   Great job by all!!  Thank you

**Use Caution**  I recently contracted with this company for their annual service contact ($395).  My first call to them was to install a new toilet.  The repair man said he was new.  The estimate to install a new toilet was over $600 ($678 to be exact).  The estimate to snake a slow moving drain $458.  Estimate to replace a faucet cartridge was $358 plus to cost of the part estimated between $300-600.  When I question about my service contract discount, the repair man replied, I don't know anything about that, but I have a Plumber License.    Oh, to add a little more details to this experience; ...this estimated was scribbled on the back of his business card after he returned to his shiny new truck to work up the estimate for 20 minutes.  Completely unprofessional, overprice and out of my home.

Nugent & Son also double charged my account for my service contract and when I called, they quickly reversed the charges.  This is not a company I felt comfortable with at all.  

This is not the same company I came to know a few years ago.

I just had a busted pipe which is a disaster. Real plumbers acted as professional advisors on what I could do immediately on my own and have them come out the next day during normal business hours. Saved me hundreds of dollars. Kevin arrived next day, diagnosed problem in an efficient manner and fixed the problem. During a water / flooding emergency, you want professional advise - I got it. Would recommend real plumbers to my Mom! Doesn't get better than that.

From one home owner to another, do not use this company!!! It seems that their goal is to charge the most amount of money possible and do the least amount of work, using the most inexpensive materials.  They also do not stand behind their work.  Use a small plumbing business that cares about their work and will stand behind it.   In 2012, Magnolia installed a water heater in my condo.  
          One morning about a few months ago, I noticed that the floor of one of my bedrooms was saturated with water.  The water was a result of a leak on the water tank.  When I looked at where the leak was coming from, one of the pipes was all rusted and calcified (I was told by another plumber that this was the result of a slow leak over a long period of time).  I called Magnolia right away (around 10 am) to have someone come out.  They said that they most likely couldn't get someone out to me until the next day.  I did my best to hold back the leak in the meantime but by night the leak had gotten worse and I called their emergency number.  They did send someone out but said that they would charge me $134 (they did reluctantly reimburse this after many, many phone calls and emails).  When the man came and looked at the tank he said to me more than once I shouldn't say this, but your tank shouldn't be doing this.  He couldn't do anything that night to stop the leak.  The tank continued to leak through the night.  He came back the next day and replaced a small PVC pipe that was causing the leak and I was charged $262.   Since then I have had a Master Plumber come out who owns a small business. He was appalled at the work he saw.  I was told the quality of the materials used were poor (PVC vs. copper, etc.) and that the tank was a ticking time bomb.  He said it was only a matter of time before we had another leak.  When I sought out Magnolia to make this situation right, they gave me the run around.  The people I talked to said they would get back with me and they did not.  I had to make phone call after phone call and each time I had to retell the situation.   Needless to say, they wouldn't take responsibility for the damage caused by their poor installation.  I have incurred many costs related to the initial installation including having the pipes on the tank replaced with copper and a pan put under the tank, which by Virginia state law should have been there to begin with.    
             The only thing I can say now is that I am more educated about plumbing and I would never, ever recommend this company to anyone.
