Best Garbage Disposal Repair in Washington DC

In summary, Reddick & Sons did not show up for their four-hour appointment window they had recommended which I respectfully accepted (see pic attached)! To preface this review, it is only about the estimate appointment that never happened - which was very unprofessional!  I am writing this review, so Yelper's are fully aware of this. Reddick & Sons should realize that normal working people have schedules and appointments to make in advance of booking an estimate, especially with a 4-hour window.  I even provided my cell phone to their rep in case they needed to reschedule or call me with any questions. In addition, I provided pictures of the issue in advance. The takeaway from this experience is based on the description of the job that was provided to them in advance, I just have to assume the job was too hard for them to handle... If that is the case, they could have easily called my cell aforementioned or messaged me to let me know instead of wasting 4 hours of my time!

They came out very quickly, had great communication, and did good work to fix a backed up drain. Thank you!

This company is a complete and total scam and you should avoid them. I wish I would have read their recent YELP reviews before hiring them. I hired Sila 5 years ago for some small plumbing work and was very happy with the experience then. Given my previous experience, I signed a service plan with them last year- BIG MISTAKE.

Our heat stopped working and a technician came out (past the service window they confirmed with us) to investigate. After spending a few minutes with the outdoor air condenser, he came back and said you have leaks in multiple places and it needs to be replaced can can't be repaired. We will need to send out a different technician to give you a quote for replacing the unit When I started asking more questions he called someone and came back 5 minutes later and said Good news, I can fix the unit and he proceeded to give us a written estimate for a bit over $1,800 for the repair. Something seemed off about this experience and I couldn't understand how in 5 minutes time it changed from, spend $5K to replace a 6 year old compressor to suddenly, no problem, it can be repaired.

I hired a more reputable company to come out and look at the system and within a few minutes they conducted a simple leak test which clearly showed where the leak was coming from-- it was so obvious. They also said the last technician did not replace the screws to the fan unit and that they where nowhere to be found on the ground or around the unit. He also said another part had been removed and not properly screwed back on. The kicker, this other HVAC company quoted us  $800 for the same repair job. Mind you, this other HVAC company is a major licensed/insured company so it's not like I'm getting a better deal by having an inexperienced small company do the repair. They also could not understand why the other technician suggested the unit would need to be replaced, especially given the repair was not too terribly involved (about 3 hours of labor) for a unit which is less than 6 years old.

Stay away and call someone else for HVAC work.

I would like to update my review on this company. After receiving my letter, the company wrote me an apology letter and refunded me $100 of the overcharged amount I paid. I'm satisfied with that. I'm happy that they considered my request. I hope this doesn't have to happen to anyone else. Would I use them again..not sure, I would have to seriously consider the situation.  However, I was happy because I felt heard by the company.

This review is for the Snell Heating and Air Conditioning location out of Sterling, VA. They run a home-repair service call business through phone contact.  We had occasion to use them on very short notice recently.

During a week of 105-degree weather, our HVAC unit stopped working overnight and it was apparent by morning, that something electrical had 'burned out'.  We began calling service locations at 8am, and most other businesses deferred repair calls until 4-5 days later, due to volume.  In this case, we had Snell arrive at our door within 2-hours and commence diagnostic and needed repairs.  We were not a service-club member, though they did offer this as add for $135.00/year, with check-ups & discounts. We declined, it was not a hard sell by the technician who came out.

The technician was highly competent and did not waste a lot of time over-explaining and pushing worst-case scenarios.  He figured out immediately in diagnostic ($99.00 service fee) a blown capacitor ($312.00 repair) and gas did not need recharging (potential $1,000.00 cost).  He did offer to clean the coils with a caustic chemical solution ($194.00 cost) which we accepted and it immediately lowered operating temperature of HVAC.  

Within 2-hours of Snell's service arrival, we had HVAC repaired, operational and back in working order.  No muss-fuss, no over-bills, no hard-sells, and 1-year guarantee on work and parts. Folks, this is as good as it gets here in the NoVA area.  Highly recommended.

Showed up quickly for emergency flooded basement with deep water. Issue was handled competently and with good humor by JT .

Service from this company was excellent. The customer service agent was knowledgeable enough to understand the problem I was having so that he could send out the right plumber to the job. The plumber (Michael) contacted me en route to ask a few questions and give me an ETA. He was right on time, very personable, and perfectly professional. During the diagnosis, he asked a lot of smart questions, listened well, and assessed what the root cause of our dishwasher backflow issue could be. Most importantly, I did not feel patronized at any point in our conversation.

Michael checked the whole drainage system that has been getting clogged, made a proper adjustment, and tested the drain both before and afterwards. He was forthcoming about where his expertise resides and did  not try to play the role of an expert dishwasher technician.

At the conclusion, we discussed pros and cons of alternatives (next steps) if raising the high loop did not resolve our issue: primarily further investigation with certified dishwasher technician vs. replacing the high loop with a siphon valve.

We had a backyard bib pipe that was leaking somewhere in the wall. The plumber, Khalid, was absolutely remarkable! First when requesting a direct quote, his communication was quick, and pricing was very reasonable. Moreover, he communicated with me throughout the whole experience. I was able to show him a picture of what the situation was in advance so he could come in knowing what the issue was regarding. He arrived at our hour exactly when he estimated he was going to arrive, which was perfect. He was extremely knowledgeable about my leaking pipe and was able to correct the issue better than it was before as well as educate me on what most likely had caused the issue! In order to get to the pipe some of the drywall had to be removed, which he was able to do skillfully and cleanly. Furthermore, he was able to patch my drywall back three hundred times better than what it was before.

I don't understand how this service does not have more reviews because the work that was done was absolutely phenomenal and if there was a six star I could give, I would! Service, Communication, and knowledge was A+ and I will definitely use this service again if I run into trouble with my plumbing issues.

Will and Joey showed up and time and were polite and professional.  They explained the what the issue was with the prior installation that another plumber had done and did a great job.  

Their price was reasonable (it's always more than I expect) but the service was good so it was worth it.

Had a refrigerator that needed to be installed.  The technician arrived on-time started installing the refrigerator and while installing he noticed that the water line for the ice maker needed to be replaced, he had everything on his truck to fix the water line.  The price was very reasonable and the technician was very knowleable about my refrigerator.  Would recommend DB Plumbing.

Muhammad got back to me quickly with a quote and promptly scheduled the time to replace a bathtub and shower faucet. His price was really reasonable and he did a fantastic job. Muhammad is the first person I will call if i have any plumbing issues in the future.

Donzelle responded quickly to my need and performed quality work! I was in a bind after selling my condo and needed emergent repairs to my kitchen and laundry room. We scheduled my repairs (leaking drain and supply lines) within a day's notice and he got the job done! He was transparent and honest in his assessment, helped me with the billing as much as he could, and gave very fair value. Everything was documented in the invoice and text. These guys were great, friendly, professional, and effective. They fixed an issue with the plumbing of my sink very quickly and showed up on time. They were also very responsive via text/phone call and was highly flexible around our schedule. We would highly recommend their service.

He's there when you need him. He's responsive and communicative. He removed bottom cabinet from my kitchen and helped installing compact wash and dryer machine. All with excellent quality work. I am very happy with it.

Bought a house with a pretty old looking gas fireplace. I was just hoping the lines worked - I figured I would need a new insert. I called Drain Works and they explained their process very well. The tech came out and got the fireplace working pretty quickly and showed me how to work the remote I didn't even know went to the fireplace. They explained how to the pilot and all other things on the set worked. They explained their refurbishment service with no pressure to purchase. I went with their refurbishment service and the fireplace set looks brand new! A great value in my opinion.
