Best Boiler Services in Washington DC
I work for a property management company and have been working with JF for the past three years. I always have a great experience. Nancy and Melanie in the office are phenomenal - so friendly and accommodating. The plumbers on the team are efficient and professional so I can trust that the issue is resolved.

I had a gas fireplace that was leaving a funny smell in an upstairs bedroom. I haven't used this type of fireplace. I much prefer and grew up with traditional fireplaces. After I searched Google, Facebook, Checkbook.com. Nextdoor and Yelp online, I decided to call OHA. I had hoped that since OHA also inspects traditional fireplaces and services HVAC equipment that I might be able to get the technician's advice on how to maintain those items as well, but this wasn't to be. The technician was focused only on gas fireplaces and this was fine. He quickly and skillfully opened up the fireplace and confirmed that no gas was leaking and that it was operating correctly. He told me that the fireplace could use a cleaning and that this would cost around $100 or so, but he told me this could wait. He showed me how it worked and patiently answered my questions. The charge was $95 and I was satisfied with the service. Now, because I've wanted to get on an HVAC maintenance plan, I contacted what seemed to be the best companies in the area. Based on all of the reviews that I could find and reviewing company websites, OHA was my number one choice. The sticking point? I still need to confirm their annual maintenance plan prices. They were great for what I had them do.

This company certainly deserves it's 5 star rating. From the onset they replied quickly to my call and came to assess the problem.
I had been told by my HVAC person that I had a sewer leak in my unfinished basement. I was in a panic! When the workmen arrived they were courteous and did a thorough inspection in the area that I could not get to. They could have told me anything and charged me the maximum, my not knowing. BUT THEY DID NOT. They discovered it was a broken sink pipe and not sewer at all. PHEW, I was relieved! They went ahead and fixed the broken pipe and and further cleaned it out, finding the cause for the breakage, tree roots. The charge which could have been anything was actually what they had quoted do a clean out. And $200 LESS than anyone else had quoted me as a starting fee.
Brian B Quick is now my first call and plumber of choice if I ever need one (which is likely in this 1849 townhouse). Trust them to be efficient, expeditious and even better Fair and Honest.
Thank you guys for helping this old damsel in distress.

I called Plump Right Plumbing later in the day, i thought they wouldn't come over until the next day. Brent came by immediately and stayed until the job was complete.
Since I'm giving up DIY plumbing Plumb Right will be my first call.

These people don't show and don't call when they don't. They were supposed to be here between 8 and 12, , and they did not come and did not call. I got a call after I got a message from them claiming they were supposed to be coming later. That was just not true. I called another electrician.

I have never had a bad experience, Jeff is my tech who come's out twice a year to check my HVAC system (per the contract I purchase every year) we have had one full furnace & 2 AC units replaced with them. This year we had our hot water heater replaced and tomorrow will have 2 toilets replaced. I can't speak highly enough about all of there employees, they are all professional and have never felt pressured to purchase the most expensive item. They do an a Awesome job, with full transparency.

We first contacted Duvall's when our A/C decided to die in the middle of an August heat wave. We asked our next door neighbor for a recommendation, and he immediate gave us Duvall's contact info as they've been happy customers for many years. It was immediately evident why - the office staff is friendly and professional, and they slotted us in right away as an emergency call. John arrived with his crew and they got right to work. I was very impressed with their professionalism and thoroughness and they soon had our A/C up and running. As soon as we got the flyer advertising their furnace check special, we called to schedule an appointment for both the furnace and our gas fireplace, because there's no other company we trust as much. As John said, they're not the cheapest, but they certainly aren't the most expensive; as I told him, their prices are money very well spent, especially for the quality service you get.

We were desperate for a plumber during thanksgiving break and the only ones we could get charged exorbitant fees just to show up during a holiday. Our kitchen sink wouldn't drain and we couldn't run the dishwasher either. Came across Zapata's business while searching Yelp and gave him a try. Pablo showed up when he said he would and diagnosed the issue then came back again with the right equipment to snake our pipes. Prior to coming to our house he gave us a 2 hour window, and let us know when he was on his way. He was professional and charged an honest price, even when he knew we were desperate. We have not had issues with our sink since then.

I recently moved into a new home and within the first week had my first unfortunate event as a first time home owner. A loose pipe cause water from my upstairs shower to leak going down the stairwell to the main area and basement. Luckily a colleague of mine recommended Carlos at Daniel's Home Services and they were Fantastic!
Their team listened to what I experience and worked quickly to diagnose and resolve the problem. Being honest, as my first major repair, I was a bit nervous at how much it would all cost and fortunately the rate was very competitive. While inside of my home the guys were very respectful and wore their masks throughout the completion of the job, removed their shoes when walking on the carpeted area, and thoroughly cleaned up the drywall that was left on the floor before leaving.
All in all I hope I won't need additional service anytime soon but when I do I will definitely be giving them a call back!

Great tune-up service. Carlos Reed showed up promptly during our service window and took a close look at the unit. Very friendly and did a thorough inspection.

Used Clark since the 70. Called for a leaky faucet. Ed came and I was told I needed a new faucet and understood the leak would be fixed. The receipt for the $69 house call did not mention any additional charges for the leak. . After a week of mix ups Clark finally returned with he new faucets. Then, at the site, I was told it would cost almost another $400 to fix the leak which was the original problem in addition to almost $800 for the new faucets. The owner Steve was not available, there was no one els to discuss it with and they said Steve would call???
Very dissatisfied and feel as though I was rolled..

They charge $99 for what it supposed to be a *free estimate*!!!
I requested a free quote on Yelp and was td that they don't provide it online, but i can get a free quote if i schedule an appointment.
I scheduled an appointment and got a confirmation. But then I was told that they don't give free estimates, but rather charge $99 for them and I was told incorrectly that it should have been clear i. The confirmation I got. I looked again at the confirmation and all it said was free estimate. Scam! Stay away!!!

I used them to service an AC unit in my apartment because they were the ones who installed it a few years before I moved in. I originally scheduled a service time a week out, but my unit completely stopped working mid-summer and so I asked if it could be moved earlier. They were able to do it the next night, but they increased the service visit cost which I thought was strange, but didn't argue.
The tech came on time, was professional and figured out the problem - although it took him a long time to do it. The price they quoted was ridiculously high, and they wouldn't guarantee the work. I later found out this was because what the stop gap they proposed would have voided the units warranty and could have actually led to much more serious problems.
Was very disappointed and won't use again.

Awesome company. The owner of the company has 3 master plumber licenses and is very knowledgeable and experienced. His crew does a fantastic job no matter what our plumbing issue is. We have an old house that needs a lot plumbing work done all the time from simple kitchen sink stoppages and clogged toilets to major bathroom rehabs A Better Plumber is our go to company no matter what. This company truly cares about their customers and take the extra time to explain what is needed and why. They treat your home as if they were working in their own home- they wear shoe covers and clean up after themselves. They also offer military discount as well. Definitely worth checking them out if you haven't already!

I called because sewage was coming up through my basement shower, flooding the bathroom; gross. They sent someone out to look at the issue and that person said I needed my sewage line cleared. Oh, I should mention that they were prompt and professional. I said OK and he got to work and ended up charging $650. I was happy to pay it to keep sewage from going the wrong direction. Afterward, it turned out that none of that work fixed the issue.
I called them back to explain the problem and they politely offered to send someone else out to take a second crack, at a $200 discount, and this time they would use a camera to look. I asked about the cost of getting an assessment to figure out what the issue actually is and how much it might cost, but they would not give me any indication.
I'm not extremely experienced in plumbing, but after having paid them $650 and, essentially, not gotten anything for my money, I am pretty hesitant about calling them back to do more work when I won't even get the option of weighing the cost before being given the bill, especially considering my problem may or may not be fixed this time either. If this camera could see down the pipe to determine the issue, I think I should have been told about that when they did the clearing, not later now that the line will have to be cleared all over again.
By the way, contrary to their website's claims, I could not get a free estimate or a price quote up front, even after asking specifically for them. They do not guarantee drain work, I was told. Maybe that caveat is on the website somewhere.
Now, this may all be typical for this type of work so take that into consideration when seeing the two stars (Yelp calls two stars Meh and that's kinda how I feel). I have my doubts, but I really don't know. I just thought I'd share my experience and let people decide on their own if this is acceptable or not.

Our toilet got flooded due to the refrigerator. He agreed to fix our bathroom ceiling with paint and living room ceiling for $600 total. Once he started working he started complaining and started saying its too much work i and I am just helping you we paid him $300 to get the supplies. He messed up our walls and said he never said he will be painting the whole ceiling. This guy was trying to find ways to get more money out. He simply refused him and asked him to leave. We were not going to pay more for the job which is still unfinished and very poor job. Now he started to post my pictures my kid's pictures my house pictures on social media and he has started to harass me and my wife. I would not recommend this person at all. If anything happens to me or my family this guy Edward would be responsible

This company used to be a excellent company, HOWEVER, things have changed. I paid for a service contract $600. They called me endlessly for to make an appointment with them, then when the service person came he looked very unprofessional and untidy to the point were he appeared to be a day laborer. Just awful. They charged me $99 dollars for a diagnosis took pictures of my HVAC system never said they could fix my problem. They never sent me a written diagnosis or invoice. I did call them for those request never heard from them again, money scammers. This company changed hands it is now Warner Super Services DO NOT GIVE THEM BUSINESS.
