I had them come out for a leaking spigot. They were able to come the next day, and got the job done quickly. Very professional, courteous, and friendly. Everything seems to have been done right, and they took excellent care of the property. The tech did a great job. The estimate they gave me was basically right, time and materials ended up being within 10% of what they quoted. They'll be my first call next time I need plumbing help!

Donzelle was awesome. We had an emergency plumbing situation (backup flowing up through my tenant's shower drain...pretty gross), and Donzelle was the first person to respond to my requests. His communication was excellent throughout, his prices were fair, and he responded immediately. He was also able to work with the tenant to find a time that worked best for everybody for follow-up work. He didn't try to upsell or pressure us based on the situation and his quality of work was fantastic. Sent pictures and updates throughout, cleaned up, and my tenant also reported that he was very satisfied. Super professional, 5 stars.

My garbage disposal needed repairing or replacing. I searched for a plumber and thankfully I found Matt. Without hesitation, he fit me into his schedule for same day service. Upon arrival to my home I discovered another plumbing concern and asked him to inspect it. As it turned out my sump pump needed replacing and it had been raining all day which led to a significant amount of ground swell. Matt quoted me a fair price. Unfortunately, we could not obtain a replacement pump because supply houses and other retailers had reduced hours due to Covid-19. He replaced the disposal and to my surprise loaned me a sump pump overnight to prevent my basement from flooding. I'm grateful for his professionalism and easy demeanor which made doing business with him terrific. Matt is a plumber whose services you can count on and trust when needed. I highly recommend him and won't hesitate to call on him again. He also was very respectful of my home taking care to clean up behind himself as well as cover his feet to prevent damaging my wood floors. Note, this is an actual review from a very satisfied client!

I called for a main water line replacement. The phone ran for a while, then music for about 30 seconds then a person answered that sounded as if they were asleep - it was 1130 am. I know they are a home based business based on their address, but I was not concerned - everyone starts somewhere and they would have less costs to pass on.
I asked about getting an estimate and let them know I was about 5 minute from them. I was told there was a $65 charge to give an estimate. There is no way I would pay for an estimate.

I can't say enough about how honest and hard working Elliott is! We had an issue with our plumbing that unfortunately, is now in the hands of DC and will need to be fixed by the city. Since, it was DC's problem and Elliott couldn't fix the issue, he did not charge us anything even though he was at our home for over 9 hours and 2 days! I found my plumber and really just appreciated him, his responsiveness and his philosophy and not charging until there is a solution.

Belle View Plumbing recently repaired a leak for us. Someone came by within a couple of hours to give us a quote, which was nice, but after doing half of the job he then DOUBLED the price he originally quoted. This completely unwarranted because I could not have been more clear in the description of the leak. I stated the location, described the leak, and send pictures of the broken pipe.
We agreed to pay the full price just to get it over with, but after the plumber left we realized that he didn't even replace the insulation that he had to remove to make the repair. Very unhappy with the experience overall. This business seems very sketchy and I am not sure why they have so many positive reviews.

Upstairs shower was leaking down into the kitchen. He assessed it fairly quick and did the repairs! Quality work for sure!

After reviewing several options I decided to go with SILA to replace my HVAC system. Among other considerations were many of my neighbors who were replacing their HVAC systems around the same time who recommended SILA.
On Friday, July 24, a SILA team arrived at 8:30am to remove my old system and replace it with a new Carrier system. At around 3:30pm they were done and I asked for my work order. I was told there was no work order. I then asked if I needed to pay them, and the installer said no. I asked for manual and the installer dropped four 100 page engineering manuals on my table and said, 'You can have these'. I asked for the air conditioning to setup and he pressed some buttons. I tipped him and his team and they left.
The next morning I woke up and left the house to go for a bike ride and crashed my bike. After spending most of the day at Urgent Care for treatment of my broken wrist, I went home and that's when I could recognize that I had a gas leak. I called Washington Gas to report the gas leak. The DC Fire department came out and confirmed that the gas leak was from an unsealed gas pipe. One of the fire fighters said that it was irresponsible to have left my house with gas leaking from a pipe. I called SILA and told them I had a gas leak from the installation, and I could have died if I hadn't left my house for a bike ride in the morning, and, as it happens, I did break my arm. The SILA representative Kelly's response was the equivalent of, 'oh well, but you didn't die, and there was nothing she could do.' So I asked that a manager call me. No manager called me, so I eventually called SILA. It tooks two days of calling but I finally got in touch with a manager. He said he never heard of my story. He said he was sorry to hear that I had been sitting in my house, with my windows closed in the 100 degree Washington, D.C., heat, inhaling gas for 20 hours and that my arm was broken, but he couldn't do anything at all. I finally negotiated a warranty extension and he said he was give me a $250 refund. The $250 doesn't even come close to the amount of out-of-pocket medical expenses I accumulated because of my broken arm. The computer on my HVAC doesn't work properly - even after 3 techs from SILA came out to program the computer - each tech actually showing me how simple it was which simulataneously saying that the previous tech obviously didn't know what they were doing when they programmed the computer. Also, the $250 that Evan refunded, and sent me a picture of the receipt, it never was refunded into my account - which, I think, is, like, fraud, or, at least, a lie.
I'm writing this two months after the installation because my broken arm has finally healed. I still have problems with programming the HVAC system; the $250 refund was never processed despite being sent a receipt of the process; and SILA didn't care or take responsibility for the shoddy installation of my HVAC system that left gas leaking into my house for more than a day before it was recognized.
So, no, I do not recommend SILA. Considering the highly competitive HVAC market in the DC area I would recommend almost any other installer of HVAC systems other than SILA.

I've used Clark for plumbing for years and they always do a fine job but just had a horrible customer service experience and will be switching to a new service--given the competition in the DC area would much rather spend my money with a company that values me as a customer.
I had an appointment this morning and the plumber called my landlord instead of me (though I ensured they had the right numbers when I made the appointment) and said they were at my house and no one was home. This was not true as my nanny was sitting 10 feet from the front door waiting for them and no one came to the house, nor called my house. The plumber said that since no one was home he was going to a different job and would come back to my house (of course hours later).
When I called the company they said that he hadn't been to my house but that the plumber had called and no one answered and therefore went to a different job. I explained the call my landlord received and the customer service woman denied it happened. I told her I was disappointed in the service, especially that there was no apology for the fact that at minimum the stories didn't make sense and at the worse the plumber was outright lying. She refused to apologize, said that the company had done nothing wrong and that he had not come to my house and had not been able to reach anyone when calling.
disappointing all around.

I have 3 HVAC units. This guy from Snell came to do a routine inspection. One unit was not starting...
He misdiagnosed all three.
Gave me a report saying I have to replace all 3 of my perfectly working, units for $20,000+ or fix all three for $5000+.
He said the unit that was not starting was leaking freon, thermostat was faulty etc.$850 for replacing Freon, $350 for thermostat, blower cleaning $500 etc. Etc.
I called another company and they said my two main units were perfectly all right and the third one that was not starting just required a board replacement... For $150 !!! And, of course, the thermostat was not faculty at all and no from leak.
This Snell technician forced me to replace my units by suggesting carbon monoxide leak while there was no leak and even scheduled marketing guys to come next day to sell me $20k worth of HVAC for a $150 repair. Of course I cancelled it after getting second opinions from 2 different companies.
Do NOT call this company. I read many more similar complaints...
Junk company and deceptive practises
