The booking process was easy and they were at my house within hours to help with a leaking water main. Repair was done in an excellent manner, and Brooks, the plumber, was outstanding in customer service. Also, they don't charge to show up, so if you have an issue, you can have them take a look without paying a fee unless service is rendered. Excellent!

Our water heater was dying on a weekend. We sent Mr Rooter and a couple of other plumbers messages to come take a look. On the plus side, they sent someone same day on a weekend. On the minus side, he was clearly committed to fleecing us.

The quote started off ok (~$1700 to replace a 50 gallon water heater), but then he used a bunch of used car salesman tactics and such to drive the price up nearly $800. He talked about how they'd need an extra $400 to bring the water heater into our basement (our basement is like 3 steps down from ground level with an exterior entrance), an extra $200 to install a new sediment trap (or something like that), and some other nonsense too. He then called his manager to get us the best price. When we asked for a breakdown of parts vs labor, he said the water heater was $800 or $900 (I forget which), but Lowe's sells the same water heater by the same brand for ~$550.

Anyway, we sent him off.

We ended up going with someone else who didn't pull any nonsense like that and who came in basically the same price as Mr Rooter before they started tacking on ridiculous charges.

We bought our home in 2006 and the previous owners of 30+ years highly recommended them for any plumbing and heating problems with the house.   My water heater gave up 2 years ago and Luis came out and banged out the job.  Recently I had a issue with the pilot light and no hot water, called Tromborg (7pm) and they were here no less than 15 minutes assessed the issue, replaced the faulty part all within 45 minutes.  Family owned business and they treated me like family, these guys are AWESOME!  If you are not using Tromborg for your heating and plumbing then you probably paid too much and got crappy service.  Do yourself a favor and call them NOW if you have any plumbing or heating issues.

We had a severe drain clog; after seeing Yelp reviews of
Advanced Plumbing, we had them come out. Ryan worked tirelessly for several hours the first day (a Sunday); the clog was too deep. He came back the next day with Edward to try something different. Once again, these guys worked very hard, sometimes on the 3 story roof.  SUCCESS!! Ryan would not give up until he fixed it for us. I cannot say enough about Ryan, his work ethic, and his professionalism. Both guys were very polite, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. If I could give them 10 stars I would! Nick came out to see what was going on which was very much appreciated.  This organization is amazing!  Thank you all.

What do you NOT want 2 days before Christmas?  Your only toilet clogged, that's what!

Thank goodness for Joven, he answered my call and was at the house within an hour.  Problem solved quickly, and he adjusted the water level and flow for no extra charge.

Will definitely call on him for any plumbing issue in future.

We had Excalibur do a complete repiping job on our home in Alameda.  They filed for the permits and got to work within a few days to do the work.  They showed up on time with a good sized crew and worked though to the evening.  All of the major work was completed in that first phase and it was done professionally and efficiently.  They will return in a few days, after some other work is complete, to do the finishing touches.  Their communication has been excellent and we've been nothing but impressed with their work.

Fernando is the best! He replaced a faucet for us in the past & today I called to have him come by for an inspection to ease my mind after a water heater move. He is kind, knowledgeable, and because he only spent 5 to 10 mins. easing my mind, he did not charge me. I highly recommend Fernando as an excellent technician with great heart! Thanks Fernando and all the folks at 5-Star who have customer satisfaction as their top priority!  6 Stars!

The line/pipe for my kitchen sink was clogged.  I called on a Saturday and Joe was super responsive.  They got someone out within 1-1.5 hours.  Almaz came out and did a thorough job on clearing the pipes and explained what happened.  He even check my water pressure and hardness test.  This place is going in my bookmarks.

I needed an executive chair assembled, toilet seat changed, horizontal blinds changed in one window, hinges adjusted on kitchen cabinet doors.  Ben responded quickly to my request to schedule and came the next morning to do the work.  He was friendly, personable, knowledgeable, efficient.  His rates were reasonable.  Great experience.  He's a wonderful find.  So glad I took a chance on him.

I recently had a sewer clog in my house. I called Wizard Plumbing and they sent someone out quickly. They sent Fred Melendez. He was very courteous and professional and got the job done quickly. I would definitely call again for any other plumbing issues.

The reason we're giving it 3 stars is because Yahia and Mo deserved 5 stars when, a couple years ago, they installed a water heater. Last year, they diagnosed a leak and repaired the pipes that caused the leaking from a bathroom shower. (Earlier, another plumbing company mis-diagnosed the problem and quoted us an astronomical fee.)
So when we had a kitchen sink problem we immediately called them (they gave us two numbers). I left messages and no call back. A couple days later, I called again on both numbers. Again no response.
I tried their website: not up.
Is everything OK? We miss you.

Advanced Trenchless is my new go to plumbing company. From the initial contact with their office (Leah & Jeremy) to the service personnel (Todd & Gene), the sense of no-nonsense honest to goodness customer satisfaction and communication via text, e-mail throughout the job is second to none.
 I always feel reassured when I contact them with plumbing issues, especially with not having to worry about price gouging or upselling.
Case in point. The company has a one year guarantee that I utilized when a broken pipe they initially located with a snake camera and  repaired under my dining room floor they jackhammer through 9 of  concrete, somehow started leaking through the concrete 4 months later. I e-mailed Leah, and she had Todd come out first thing to inspect and setup appointment to redo work.
Kudos to Advanced Trenchless for their commitment to standing behind there work.

I called to try to get an estimate and the lady who answered the phone today was rude. She didn't sound friendly and seemed like she was in a bad mood. Instead of saying politely that a plumber would call me back, she was just very abrupt about it and didn't seem to care or address my questions in a professional manner or like someone who has great customer service skills. Not to mention when she couldn't hear me, she gave me a response in a tone that sounded as if she was annoyed. HIRE A NEW PHONE REP HEISE!!  Your front person is always your company's first impression. She's not a good one!

I needed my kitchen faucet replaced and Kenny was the fastest person you will ever hire. If you need someone reliable and professional then look no further. We will definitely be calling him for other things in the future! Thank you Kenny!

This company is unreliable.  Initially, they responded right away but it was left up to me to obtain the parts to repair the hot water heater.  They promised to return when the parts were delivered but there wasn't any response after several phone calls.  Hiring this company is a very bad idea.

It's never fun to come home to a clogged kitchen drain, especially on the Sunday of a holiday weekend.  We reached out to a b drain and spoke with an extremely professional representative that scheduled Raffi to come to our house the same day.  Not only did Moses arrive earlier than expected but he was professional, straightforward, and great to work with.  He also walked us through each step he took, making us feel very confident in the work performed.  I highly recommend him!

Open disclaimer: I've known Joel since he was my middle school student - brilliant, kind, and honest in every way. My favorite memory is of him performing a biology rap in front of the whole class. I've watched him navigate high school and post-secondary and it's been incredibly impressive to watch him grow this small business in this short amount of time. He is always with you respond, gracious with his service, and fair with his quotes. He's also incredibly smart, which I haven't had to make use of yet, but I know will be important when there's issues beyond just your basic plumbing/rooter job.

Erwyn's Plumbing is incredibly fast, efficient, and fairly priced. We had recently purchased a property in Berkeley and had lost track of time to complete our sewer lateral compliance. I looked on Yelp and found them. They have very high reviews for a reason! Israel of Erwyn's Plumbing responded nearly instantly to my outreach and offered to come out the same day (!) to evaluate our current sewer lateral and provide an estimate.

In addition to providing a fair estimate, he and his team were able to complete the work within a week; their staff and crew came right at 8 am and finished all of the lateral work, including the sidewalk repair, all in one day! Israel showed me the paperwork filed and was very prompt at staying on top of the city of Berkeley until they finally issued me the certificate (I had worked with a previous company at a different house that had not followed up with the final certificate and I ended up having to file it myself). Separately, we had a small plumbing issue that we wanted checked out that Israel looked at while he and his crew were doing the sewer lateral and gave us a free assessment re: our hot water heater / what might be wrong!

Super nice and efficient, would absolutely recommend them to anyone needing a sewer lateral (and I will probably use them for other plumbing issues too!).

We recently used VanGo Rooter for the first time. Tom was our plumbing technician and he was great! He had to fix our sump pump in our office warehouse. He was super efficient and he got the problem solved and fixed while communicating well with us.

I had a minor plumbing problem and needed a quick quote. I sent pics to several plumbers with strong Yelp reviews. One wanted a $90 visit charge deductible with an on site estimate. Paul at Expert gave me a good quote, sent plumber Igor the next morning and fixed it quickly.

I create Yelp reviews more for myself so I can remember the service people I work with.
