Pros: friendly service, fair prices, minimal machine runaround when called, usually fast appointment service, free estimates
Con: no over phone estimates, ok plumbers work, equipment capabilities.
Had some work done last year. They will take advantage if you don't know what you need. Some of their plumbers have no idea what they are doing so if you don't know what you need, these guys are not the ones to go to for it. Overall: They do have some competent techs(2nd plumber was more knowledgeable), prices are fairly competitive if you know what you want. Service with a smile while doing the minimum. By the way, first plumber offered me to do an open trench mainline replacement dug to 10 ft deep(not allowed by law).

Interviewed 3 other companies before choosing Huft to install a Bosch 3 Ton 18.5 SEER .  We ended up having some structural issues & unit sound issues so we got to know the Huft people REALLY well over the time it took to resolve them. Huft proved to be dedicated, tenacious trouble shooters. The people we talked to & who came to do the work was extremely invested & considerate. I have to say that they really do excel at communication & we had concerns, they addressed them. Can't say that we were impressed with the BOSCH representative (not a part of Huft) & didn't feel like BOSCH gave Huft all the information that they could have right from the get go-which caused a long delay in the final resolution. It was a long hot summer to have to deal with AC issues, but Huft stood by thier promises & did not give us grief over how much time & effort it took. It was obvious to us that Huft strives to be a company of integrity.

We called some time during the weekend of Thanksgiving. We had a clogged kitchen drain, and the quickest response was from one of those Rooter places, but that was a mistake. The Rooter folks wanted to bring the big truck -- the hyrdojet -- to do the job.

When the Rooter folks failed to clear the drain and quoted an outrageous number for hydro, we were lost. We kept going through the list of folks we called, and Elk Grove Plumbing & Drain came through. At first they scheduled us for Monday, but put us in a cancelled slot, and the plumber was even available earlier.

He had the right auger (a miller), and the problem was solved in less than an hour for far less than the hydro would have cost us.

It was also clear that these folks are professionals in plumbing first. No upselling, no sad faces.

Since moving to Elk Grove 4 years ago, this is the first plumber that was reasonable and got the job done. I'm amazed at how much you folks in the suburbs are willing to pay, but I'm pleased to pay these folks what they are worth.

I'll certainly call them again for my next job.

Dan was able to come out to my home that same day I called.  They had to shuffle their schedule and did so to help me out.  My water heater went out and I had no hot water.  The technician Dan did an outstanding job and left the area spotless.  He was pleasant and helpful and got the job done perfectly.  I highly recommend Boden Plumbing as one of the best in the area.  I am just a customer and have no ties to this company otherwise.  My comments are honest.

I had a really bad leak. The guy came in and in 45 minutes he fixed it. My dad had worked on my house for two days, and couldn't do a thing. Cheap and fast!

The wind completely destroyed the old solar pool heater panels on our roof, and my cousin suggested APHA. Jeff and Chris came out, assessed the situation and did an amazing job removing the broken pipes and panels from off the roof and also checked the other plumbing related to the pool filter. I highly recommend them! Jeff is experienced with solar pool heaters and answered all my questions and is very knowledgeable about how best to handle my situation. When we are ready to consider new solar pool heaters, they are also able to come back to do an install, as well.

I have used Clarke & Rush about 4 times before. But this weekend when it was super hot and my air went out they said they would send someone the next day. WELL that did NOT happen. When I called to find out when they would be here they said they overbooked, being a long term customer I feel very let down,

I have used Jeremy twice. Once for when my clothes dryer had a problem and once for my refrigerator. He was very professional and explained things thoroughly throughout the whole process which I really appreciate. He is very knowledgable and was able to diagnosis and fix the issues quickly. The temperature yesterday was over 100 degrees and our air conditioning stopped working. After calling many HVAC companies, Lee's was the only one to answer the phone and to schedule an appointment for the next day. They called us back to tell us they had a cancellation and could come within an hour.  David was professional and fixed the problem right away at a reasonable price. I highly recommend Lee's!

Using the Yelp messaging feature I reached out to a number of HVAC firms.  Most were communicative, a few polite, one informative but what made TJ stand out was that he *CARED.*  He was concerned that I (being in rural Yolo) might not have prompt access to service.  That approach to life tells a lot about the character of a person and this is someone I think can be counted on.  Thanks TJ, I appreciate the compassion.  God bless.

Their plumber Chris Z. visited my home when I suspected a leak, he was generally very helpful and inspected everything thoroughly and gave us some good advice. It was quick, helpful, and friendly service. I would call them again.
