Best Drain Cleaning in Oakland CA

My foyer was flooded after one dishwasher ran 2 days ago, worse after shower, even a simple hand wash under faucet this morning. It smelled like a swage.

This is the first time I hired Kenneth Plumbing becasue I saw all five-stars review. I decided to make a try since I had bad experiences in the past with brand name companies.

They confirmed the appointment with email, texted the name whom is coming do the job, and texted again before showed up.

The problem was solved within 30 mins. The service was great. They double checked with full house  water on before left the house. Will definately call them again if needed. Thank,  Justin and his partner.

My only complaint was the two days wait since they are very busy.

I found this company via Yelp and crossed my fingers that all those 5 star reviews are real. As so often with plumbing, I was in a situation that needed to be fixed QUICKLY and I could not afford to look for a plumber for days.
My toilet water kept running and running due to a broken water outlet valve and a broken part inside the toilet.
I called and had Abraham, the owner and technician on the phone, who asked me to send him pics to see if he has all spare parts readily available which he fortunately did. He gave me a price quote on the phone which was the same price I ended up paying, too. An hour after our phone call he was at my house and another 30 min later all my problems were solved.
Additionally, he was super friendly and also careful to collect all water in the process rather than making a mess. When he was about to wipe my floor which needed cleaning way before he arrived I stopped him and said you do not need to clean my dirty floor, I will do that. Lol.
I am not surprised this guy has 5 stars on Yelp anymore. If I ever have another emergency I will call him again, no doubt.

Water line into the house and regulator were leaking in several spots. URV was able to do the quote with just a series of close-up photos of the problems, which sped things up. URV had the lowest quote out of several contractors, and then showed up quickly. Two hours later, I had a new regulator and my formerly cruddy, leaky piping looked shiny and dry. 5 stars.

Ben installed my hot water heater last summer.  He was very friendly and professional.  He responded right away, on a SUNDAY, and stayed with it until we had a new hot water heater installed and working that afternoon.  He did great work for a very reasonable price.

Yesterday, the hot water heater's t/p valve released for some reason and water flooded into the pan, etc.  I contacted Ben, nearly a year later, and he responded right away.  He came over first thing this morning, checked it all out and installed a new valve, just to be safe.  We have hot water again and my family can rest easy.  

With all of the shady characters out there in the contracting/construction world, I just wanted to share that I think I've found a real, professional tradesman who stands by his work and cares about his clients.

We had Atlas come out to replace a couple of toilets and install some faucets. First,  I really appreciate that they have a full-time answering service, and that they actually responded to our call within a few hours (unlike some other plumbers who never even called me back after I left a message). They came by for a quick estimate and we were able to schedule the work just a few days later, and they got the work done quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend them!

Gil was reliable and helper fixed the leak at home. He was cost effective and highly reliable.

Joey at Honrath & Stacey saved the day for us again! Our heater died and we spent a very cold evening and following day. I talked to Joey in the morning and he gave me an ETA and called me with an update during the day. When he arrived (right on time) he was able to make a diagnosis and repair in less than half an hour. Second time we've used their services and we're very happy campers!

Of all the plumbing services, Awais was the most responsive and the quickest to evaluate the issue based on the photos I provided and give me a quote. Since I had a leak in a major water pipe, they were able to accommodate me the day of, which I really appreciated!
During the service, they worked quickly and explained the problem and solution to me clearly. I'm very impressed and happy that they were able to fix everything within a few hours, at a reasonable price, too.

From the time we called, Amanda had to quote to us promptly Ayer we sent photos of the old heater, it's location and passage way. Time was set for replacement and the contractor, Jordan was an excellent worker explaining things as he worked.   An excellent experience.

We've used Rey and team for the last 5 years or so. From toilet installations to a recirculating tankless hot water heater. Work quality is good and any issues that have come up have been resolved promptly.

I appreciate his informal nature (scheduling via SMS, etc), but can see why some reviewers might like a more formal communications. We'll be continuing to use him in the future.

Had a leak in the pipes behind a wall downstairs. They came quickly and fixed the leak. The price seemed fair given I didn't have much choice and it was the weekend. Seemed very flexible with work and schedule.

Needed deck to be power washed and some plumbing work too. Paul showed up on time and completed the work in a timely and efficient manner. He even did some extra jobs that I needed and I have already booked him for future projects. Very quick communication.

I have used Jorge's plumbing several times, from installing sewage sump pumps, rain water sump pumps, installing backstops and correcting past plumbers' shoddy workmanship in general. He's friendly, reliable and always gets the job done right. I highly recommend his services.

Called 2 times to get a repair on my furnace. They finally returned my call and said that their only furnace guy was out until about a week from now. I really wanted to use someone local but unfortunately I'll have to go elsewhere.

Star Rooter and Plumbing just completed a project at our home. They did an excellent job. Julio and his crew were professional, polite,and always prompt. They observed all safety and health guidelines. Highly recommend them.

Our sewer line backed up and we discovered it around 9 am Thursday. Oakland Rooter we're so responsive and came out around 11am the same day and snaked the line to unplug the line.  

We now will have a camera analyze the condition of the pipe. The office staff were very responsive, flexible and actually nice. So often the office staff can be curt, inattentive and inpatient.  Customer service with this firm is terrific.

Alberto was hardworking, knowledgeable and handled climbing down 3 flights of stairs to get to the sewer opening.

We highly recommend this fire fir any sewer, water or gas line work at reasonable costs.

Called for a quote on a new water heater.  The woman on the line was very evasive.  Didn't want to give me a price.  Kept saying the guy would have to look at it.  Everyone else I called either quoted me a fixed price or cost of the heater plus hourly with a ballpark amount of time it would take.  Finally, after practically begging for any kind of price quote, and all but drawing a diagram of the location from the driveway to the gas line fittings, she quoted me $1,500.00 for a job that I got done for $750.

Don't even bother to call.

I left an online message requesting an appointment to repair the tankless water heater I'd purchased from them 11 years ago.  Someone replied immediately and scheduled a same-day appointment between 12 and 2.  Carlos arrived at 12:45, listening to my sob stories about this water heater while he problem solved.  Then he tested the outlet and voila,  I had hot water,  no bill, a lot of gratitude. For a reason I no longer remember, I hadn't used Nahman in several years but after today's experience they have moved to the very top of my list as my go-to plumber for promptness, competence and honesty.

My Mom called them Saturday afternoon about our leaking water heater and they got us on the schedule for Monday for a replacement. The water heater was 10 years old and was now in need of being replaced. The lady who my mom talked to asked about if she wanted them to pull the permit for if we were going to pull it.  The tech did a good job and did the job quickly and explained the new water heater to us. When he is done with the job, my mom asks about the permit and the tech didn't have the information on their paperwork. After talking to the tech for a little, we decide we will go pull the permit for the water heater. We go down to the City offices the next day and come to find out, their business license for Fremont has expired and has been expired since 2009... Without a current business license for Fremont, we cannot get the inspection completed...  My mom called Valley Plumbing back to let them know and she talked to two different people and was told that they would get back to her. We waited a while and called back later and talked to one of the same ladies. They still didn't have an answer and said they they would call us back the next day. Still no call... so my mom calls them again and still no answer to them fixing the issue. We got told that the owner was not there and they probably wouldn't have an answer till the next day.

Be wary if you are pulling the permit for a job and that their business license is current for your particular city.... If their license was not current for our city and they knew we wanted a permit they should not have taken the job...

They are getting 2 stars because the tech was nice and did a good job. Its the lack of follow up on the office side and the owner or whoever is in charge of making sure that their licenses are current in the cities that they do jobs.
