We had a small leak in the garbage disposer. Mario with CR&P came to the condo. He was very patient and thorough and detected the moisture at the bottom of the disposer. He explained the problem to us and showed us photos. Mario replaced the unit and tested it to ensure there was no leak. Mario is professional and courteous. I give Mario five stars.

Excellent. Came to me vis Home Warranty. Fixed my disposal. When the dishwasher erupted suddenly later that night as a result they came out the next day to fix it on their dime to make it right. The tech was super helpful and professional. He told me they are not the cheapest on the block, but the most professional. I would call them again for sure.
Robert was great. He fixed our toilet and faucet very well and explained everything perfectly.
Daniel was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He emailed me right away and was able to make an appointment with him for less than 24 hours. He knew what was wrong with the water heater right away. He returned the next day and was able to replaced the whole tank and we have hot water within half an hour. He did a great job and will definitely recommend him to my family and friends!

I've used Chosen Router & Plumbing before and they've always been prompt and communicative (text messages advising when your service person is on the way, etc). I also appreciate that they explore solutions with you rather than just tell you what needs to be done. For this service visit, Ramon was super-helpful in fixing the immediate problem, and also giving me suggestions on a more complicated issue that wasn't a pure plumbing problem. As others have noted, great communication and explanations.
When we reached out to CR&P they responded right away and were able to clear up issues with two toilets and two sinks in a timely and professional manner. Their rep wore a mask and even put covers on his shoes so as not to get our floors dirty. We are very pleased and will definitely be calling them again if we have any future plumbing issues!

Our water heater wouldn't light. After a day of Google research, we reached out to multiple plumbets online. Daniel responded quickly and was at our home the next morning. Within 3 hours, we had a new water heater installed. He was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Will definitely call them next time we need service.
Five-stars for Honesty and Knowledge. Daniel from Chosen came to our house for a second opinion on very expensive sewage pipe repair proposed by another vendor I called in emergency backup. On second review, the pipe had small offset outside the house to the cleanout valve, but did NOT need to be replaced immediately and has many years. Daniel also smartly noticed the cleanout valve was not springloaded and made the backup far worse in the house. They are replacing that this week. thanks again
Late at night we noticed unclean water coming up through the drain in our garage floor, and needed someone to come out first thing in the morning.
I've never had to use a Rooter before, but had seen their vans around the neighborhood, so I left a message late at night and was contacted by a dispatcher who asked some questions and arranged for someone to come out at 7:30 the next morning.
Robert came out and fixed everything. He answered questions, gave us tips, and left the garage floor washed. Much appreciated, crisis averted. Would definitely recommend. Hopefully never need to call them again though!

This is my second time using CR&P. This is also the second time that I've been able to work with Ron as my onsite technician. CR&P is highly responsive and always willing to work as fast as my schedule allows. Ron is super friendly and careful around the house. He did such a great job the first time, after I moved into a new place, so we called him again to unclog a bathroom sink. He was SO fast and kept the area clean as he worked. I'm glad to say I've found my go-to folks for plumbing needs in SF.
Amazing and friendly! Robert came within 30 min of reporting an issue with my garbage disposal, fixed it within seconds and gave me amazing tips to keep it working well in the future. 100% recomend
I had a great experience with Chosen Rooter and Plumbing. I had a chance to interact both with Daniel and with Mario, and both were knowledgeable and helpful. Daniel even went out of his way to help diagnose an issue with my fridge even though I hired his company to fix my sink. Great customer service!
Our toilet issue cleared up before Daniel arrived, but he still came and inspected everything and gave me instructions on how to monitor and how we could potentially fix the issue in the future. He was kind, easy to understand and in and out quickly.
I was notified by the Water Dept. of a possible plumbing leak. I called CR&P and spoke with Daniel who was very friendly and responsive to my concerns. He made an appointment to come and check out the problem. He arrived in a mask and made the necessary repair to a leaking toilet in about half an hour. I would highly recommend them again.
Friendly and fast! They were able to come earlier which was great, identified the problem fast and was in and out in under 40 mins. He even had little cloth booties so to keep my floor clean (I'm a no -shoes home but I didn't even need to ask!)

The two gentlemen helped me yesterday were knowledgeable and fixed our kitchen plumbing matter pretty quickly and explained me what exactly needs to be done and I'm glad to pick this team for our new home.
I was connected with Chosen Rooter through my home warranty company.
They are good at what they do, and I have no complaints there. In fact, I've interacted with many of their employees and everyone seems very professional and clearly wants to do good work for their customers. In particular, I noticed that they know when to appropriately 'bump things up' to the boss if they encounter something they are not familiar with.
I was also very impressed with their persistence in finding a replacement part for my space heater connection, which - in the process of replacing my water heater - also had to be replaced. After the replacements, I have had no issues, and everything is working as it should. However, it did take almost 2 months for the entire fix.
My biggest issue was with the difficulty in scheduling appointments and being stood up a few times after I was told that someone would be 'stopping by shortly'. I hope they learn to keep in better contact with their customers and at least follow up if they are not planning on showing up for a scheduled appointment!
I think this plumbing service call is a racket!! No one will provide a quote on the phone to snake out your drain line!!! Not even a ball park quote of it usually cost between $200 to $300. They say it's will be quoted by the service plumber upon his initial visit. They do make it clear that the service visit is $89, and will be applied to the final cost if you accept it.
After the visit, to snake out my outside floor drain (easy access, power, and an existing hose bib was close by), the field plumber quoted $375!! And if you do not accept this price, you need to pay $89 to field inspect the job, which was a 10 min inspection.
As such, I felt trapped, you either pay the high unreasonable quote of $375, or pay $89 for the service call to inspect the job!!
Of course I accepted the $375 quote, and to snake out my outside floor drain took a total of 20 minutes - 5 min to set up, 10 min to snake out, and 5 min to pack up can collect my charge card for payment.
Daniel to the rescue! Not only was communication prompt & easy but it was clear. He showed up on time and did a great job evaluating the problem. Took his time double checking every drain too! I would def call up on them again.

David came to our home a day after we submitted an insurance request for a quote to repair a slow draining sink for our bathroom, as well as a leaky faucet for our washer.
Right away he found our issue, and told me exactly what he would be able to do to fix (and stay within the limits of the insurance claim). He even went out of his way to recommend things that, while we can't have them covered through insurance, we could purchase and replace on another date.
Overall I am impressed with the quality of service from David and Chosen Rooter. I most certainly recommend them if you are experiencing plumbing issues at your home.

What a piece of work. Finished half the job then decided to not show up to complete the rest, despite making multiple commitments to turn up on specific days.
To top it off Daniel then tried to pass it off as my personal problem for his no-show.

We've had Ron out twice now and he's been great. Quick, friendly, and even let me record him answering questions about the dos and don'ts of garbage disposals! We're fans of Chosen!

We had an alarm from SF Water about sudden unusually high water usage. CR&P was assigned to service our home by our home warranty. I spoke with Daniel and he dispatched technician right away. Ron the technician came on time, checked everything very carefully, didn't find any leaks, the problem seems due to malfunctioned water reader. Overall, excellent service, professional efficient. would call them again.
Daniel was amazing! He had come to our apartment to fix a running toilet a few months ago and when our upstairs neighbors unit sprung a leak and came pouring into our unit, Daniel was right there to help! He was able to come by the apartment within 30 minutes and knew immediately how to solve the issue. He also talked me through how to turn off the building water over the phone so the building wouldn't continue to leak as we waited for him. We have added Chosen Rooter to our HOA's official vendor list!
great responsiveness, they came over in about 45 minutes. it was expensive but I don't mind paying for quick, friendly service.
Our garbage disposal unit was broken. Manny installed a new one, quickly and professionally.
I have now used Chosen twice to resolve plumbing issues in my San Francisco condo. They provided first-rate, first-class service each time.
Their service team is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable; on my most recent needed service call, Chosen plumbers deployed a 100-foot snake to clear out a blockage in the building's water system.
They worked expertly, efficiently and even hosed down the area affected after their work was done to please me.
I have NO hesitation recommending Chosen -- especially in a town (San Francisco) where it is difficult to find a plumber to even take your call. Bravo Chosen!

I needed a rooter ASAP for a clogged toilet at the office and nobody but Daniel was available within the next few days. Thankfully Daniel was able to help me and was at our office within 15 minutes! Chosen Rooter & Plumbing sent Jesus R to my condo to replace several angle stops in the kitchen and the bathroom. He was very friendly, professional, and effective. He also had a global view on what needed to be done outside his specific assignment. In addition to replacing the angle stops, he identified problems in the kitchen faucet and a basket strainer and fixed them both. I'll highly recommend Jesus and his company, Chosen Rooter & Plumbing.

The rain and wind had been terrible the night before and the patio wasn't draining. I called Chosen in the morning and got a hold of Daniel. He said he'd send a tech over to take care of it and sure enough Robert arrived within the arrival window. He was polite to me and my elderly mom, clearly explaining everything he was doing along the way. He laid down cardboard and a towel to make sure he didn't track water or mud anywhere outside the patio. He even thought to turn up the corner of the rug in the living room to make sure his boots didn't come in contact when going between the house and his truck! He also fixed the patio drain, of course :) I couldn't have asked for a better experience and won't be wasting time calling any other plumber again. Thanks, Robert and Daniel!! If I could leave more that 5 stars I would.
Incredibly professional and fast plumbers. I wasnt sure what was wrong with my sink and I needed it fixed....fast. I called up Chosen Rooter & Plumbing and I was shocked that they would be able to send someone my way the same day. 1-hour later, their plumber, Ron, showed up to my door, quickly diagnosed the issue and fixed my drainage. I am so grateful for Daniel and the Chosen Rooter & Plumbing crew! Turns out, it pays off to be a loyal customer. :) When the massive rains came down over new years weekend, we noticed that our sump pump was oddly quiet. Usually, we hear the boom sound every so often, loud but reassuring that it is doing its job. During the downpour, no such sounds were heard. Thankfully, we noticed and thankfully, we called Chosen Rooter right away. They squeezed us into what was no doubt a very busy schedule with all of this rain. Yup, the pump was not working. They fixed it and fingers crossed, no water issues over here. I am super grateful. They've helped numerous clients and worked on our home a few times (sewer lateral repair, installing a on-demand water heater, emergency shut off valve install, etc). I had a drain that backed up and flooded so I needed a plumber right away. I called and they told me they would be able to come in one to two hours. Ron who was the plumber was exceptional. Daniel and Avi replaced our leaky shower. Daniel quickly diagnosed the problem with our old shower as a crack in the shower pan. He was then able to schedule Avi to replace the shower in a week. He also installed the new shower controls and new shower head.
Avi demolished our old shower and built us a fantastic new shower. He built a new solid foundation for the shower, addressing the root cause of the leak, then built a new shower using quality porcelain tile. I've never seen such attention to detail from any construction worker. He also added items that were not explicitly on the original quote, such an integrated shelf, and replaced the old rusty light that was their for a proper moisture-rated LED light. You can tell that Avi really takes pride in his work and cares about the quality.
The work also took longer than originally quoted, but I must emphasize that the quality was SUPERB so it taking longer was not much of a concern. The quote for the work was not the lowest that I got, but it was also not substantially higher than the others. However, given the quality of the work, I consider what I paid to be a very fair price. As a person who values honest people that do high quality work, I would gladly contract Daniel or Avi again.

My landlord used Chosen Rooter & Plumbing to fix a problem with our toilet and the whole experience was excellent! The dispatcher scheduled an appointment promptly, and when they had an earlier opening they even called us back to give us the option of an earlier appointment. The plumber on the day was friendly, super knowledgeable and very efficient. He cleaned up thoroughly after doing the work and even wore booties in the house. Excellent!
This is my second review of the great folks at CR&P...they are courteous, professional and lightning fast!
We had them come out for an emergency water heater replacement right before leaving for the holiday weekend in December, and loved their work so much, that we just had them back for a much more major job, that has been needing to be done for a few years.
They came out on a Friday to give us an estimate (which came in about $750 below our previous plumber's) on an underground pipe replacement from the garage to the street. This involved cutting through concrete and cutting back some of the offending roots that were at fault. They arrived on the following Tuesday and were finished and cleaned up by that Thursday. All contracted workers were equally professional and consistent with our first experience with them.
We expected a much larger mess after they had to dig a trench down along the sewer line that was in need of replacing, but were very happy when we came home and all was left as neat and tidy as can be. We will obviously have to do some re-landscaping, but they left as little trace as possible, and we were happily surprised.
I highly recommend these guys, and will be using them again soon for a small job to route a water source to be able to hook up a refrigerator with ice and water. Look no further, you have found the best plumbers in the city!
We had a shower leak and a broken gate valve that was quickly and competently repaired by Robert from Chosen Rooter. Robert was on time and although his van didn't carry the correct replacement parts, he was able to leave, procure replacements, and return in a respectable time to complete the repairs. Good job.
Had an active leak on a Sunday night with my water heater. Brett and Ramon came the next morning with a new hot water heater in the van. They installed it on the spot for a fair price. Daniel helped us the night before with shutting off the appropriate valve to prevent any damage. Would recommend.

First saw these guys while they were working on the house across the street. We've since used CR&P for two jobs in the past couple months, and we'll call them again if we have another. Solid customer service and very rapid response. Easy payment processing and emailed invoices for our records. And really appreciate the 15% neighbor discount based on our ZIP code!
1) Replace clogged dishwasher line, air gap, and slightly corroded pipes below the sink (3/8/21) -- Daniel and another plumber came on time as scheduled. *Loved* that they wore shoe slippers whenever in our home. Obviously wore masks. After listening to me explain the issue with our dishwasher (water continuing to come out of air gap during use, even after I had blown hard into the air gap to dislodge something), Daniel took a quick look, concluded we needed a new air gap, and suggested we replace our pipes after pointing out some greenish corrosion that we didn't notice before. Daniel mostly supervised, offering tips and analysis to the seemingly more junior plumber. Kind of nice to observe the apprenticeship and on-the-job training. They left once to return to their shop to get extra parts they needed but didn't have on hand. Whole thing probably took 90 minutes. They put everything they had to remove from under the sink back in its place after the job. Dishwasher has been running fine ever since.
2) Snaking to unclog a shower drain (4/3/21) -- Daniel returned our call that afternoon to dispatch a plumber, same-day, even though it wasn't super urgent. This time Andre was assigned to our job. We were able to track his truck's GPS location via browser. Again, he wore shoe slippers in the home, which he also removed before entering the shower stall to prevent from tracking water around the home -- love these little things. He ran the water first to make sure the drain persisted before running the snake. It took a tad longer than expected for the snake to fully unclog the drain, but overall the job was done in maybe 15 or 20 minutes. Tip: We unscrewed and removed the drain cover beforehand to save time (and cost). When we mentioned we had last snaked the drain about 1.5 years ago, he said that the timing wasn't unusual, but suggested as an option getting a mesh cover sitting below the main drain cover.
We called Chosen Rooter and Plumbing to help fix a clogged drain. They quoted us $150-250 and offered a $25 discount for the clogged drain (which is mentioned on their website). They came and did the job in about 15 minutes and charged us $250. When I paid the bill I was not aware they didn't apply the discount. When I later contacted them about it, they said we needed to mention the discount at a specific time in order to get it, which is not mentioned on their website. Then they offered to refund the discount, but only in exchange for a good Yelp review. So I'd question whether these reviews are accurate since obviously they are trying to offer monetary incentives for good reviews.

My outdoor water heater stopped working in Dec 2022 after a few very cold days. With fidelity national insurance, I was assigned to get service from Chosen Rooter & Plumbing.
The initial inspector, Ron, was courteous and very helpful. He not only showed me some basics on how to locate and assess my water heater, but also answered additional questions.
As soon as my insurance approved the tank replacement, the company contacted me right away, and sent a very experience, senior installer, Robert to complete the job. Rob arrived on time during Xmas/NY holiday, and did an excellent job installing the new tank. He went above and beyond by explaining to me exactly what he is doing and teaching me how to access the new tank's function and offered me his contact in case things do not work.
Overall, I give this company a 10/10 rating. Courteous staff, excellent communication and service even during the holidays, AND delivery of service above and beyond my expectation.

I had to have my gas stove line rerouted to fit my new stove. These guys were great, quick and left my place super clean. Showed up on time!

Andre came to my house to snake our bathroom shower drain and he was very professional and did a great job. He wore a mask and also had on booties to wear over his shoes which I really appreciated. I didn't have the best experience with the receptionist when trying to book an appointment, she cancelled my first appointment at the last minute and then did not return my calls to reschedule. However, I spoke with someone else who was able to book me an appointment, and Andre (the technician) was so great that I have to give 5 stars. I will specifically ask for him in the future. Thank you!

My home warranty company sent these guys. I can see why the home warranty company sent them, since they probably save the home warranty company thousands of dollars.
The journey with these people started with poor scheduling and phone tag. They called on Friday - I missed their call, and returned their call 2 hours later, (at 2PM), but had to leave a voice mail since they did not pick up. No return call until I tried to call them again nearly at 5PM, and they promised me they'd call me on Sunday to schedule something. Sunday came and went, and they called me on Monday instead.
When they finally showed up on Tuesday, I had a PG&E Notice for my bad gas leak that they refused to fix since the Home Warranty company was not going to cover it. My reading of the terms and condition indicated that it should be covered. Regardless of ALL THAT - one of the two guys told me he was going to go call his supervisor and ask and get a quote to fix it outside of the home warranty, and would also ask about the fact that the gas leak had a PG&E Service Report indicating that the leak needed to be fixed.
However... instead of coming back with any information, the two guys just walked outside and got in their van and drove off...
Edit - One more thing that I just remembered - I showed them my Combustible Gas Leak detector, and mentioned that it was triggering, and that perhaps it was sewer gas or some other gasses - and the 2 people who were sent brushed me off, trying to gaslight (hah!) me by telling me sewer gases do not have combustible gasses. Which, is easily disproven - as per wikipedia - Sewer gases may include hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, methane, esters, carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides.
We had a leak in our garbage disposal. Mario came to the rescue! He was super helpful in explaining the problem and answering all our questions. He was able to investigate the problem and replace the disposal for us quickly. Thank you Mario!

We had yet another toilet clogged this morning. I had another company come but they couldn't fix it.. the guy even left saying there is a problem.
I called chosen and they were super responsive. I texted them and they sent someone right away.
The technician came (David) and inspected. Very professional, he was very helpful with explaining the issues and has a lot of experience (23 years doing this). They solve our issues promptly and I'm very satisfied.
Read below for my exceptionally unfair experience with Chosen Rooter:
One of their technicians came over to my apartment to fix a clogged shower drain. He spent an hour trying to unclog it using a power snake, but ultimately was unable to. He said that there was a more serious issue than a simple drain clog, and that the only way to fix it was to bust a hole in our living room wall behind our sinks, install a clean out pipe, and use a larger power snake to clear the drain (this would've been WAY more expensive). He leaves, and I still have to pay him full price for his help.
The next day I call another plumber. He comes over and uses a power snake to clean the drain out in 15 minutes. Said it was one of the simplest jobs he's ever done, AND he charged me 60% of what Chosen Rooter charged me.
Obviously frustrated, I email Chosen Rooter asking if they can make this right... they ghost me (it's been 9 days since I sent the email). So my takeaways are:
1) Chosen Rooter is overpriced (don't let them tell you they're giving you a good deal, because that's what they said to me)
2) Chosen Rooter has inexperienced technicians
3) Chosen Rooter is not customer-friendly
4) There is a possibility that you pay full price (+the price of another plumber) for something that Chosen Rooter doesn't even fix
Seems there are a lot of good reviews on here, but based on my experience I would strongly recommend that whoever's reading this looks elsewhere for their plumbing needs.

We had backed up sewer pipes from our old house in the Outer Sunset. Toilets were clogged, bubbling water and sewer water was coming up from our shower drain. I'm so glad I used yelp to find a great local neighborhood certified plumber after hours. Daniel came out within a hour and address our problem and was really nice to talk to. We had a garbage disposal leak and were assigned this company through home warranty. They called back promptly to schedule the appointment and came on time. The technician Andre was really professional and meticulous. Examined and replaced it within a few mins, tested to make sure it's installed correctly and provided call back information in case anything is needed. Very courteous and professional!
Chosen router has fixed several issues at our house through our home warranty. They have always resolved the issues properly and have also been reliable and courteous.
Our garage flooded unexpectedly, and after calling down a list of plumbers to have someone come fix it right away (they all said they could come tomorrow at the earliest), I was lucky to call Chosen. Dannik came out right away, explained what was going on, and walked us through both the immediate and long term solution for the problem. He even called a a couple hours after leaving to make sure the flooding hadn't come back; that kind of personal care is rare these days and refreshing to see!
Overall I'm very happy with my experience with Chosen and will be using them again and recommending them to friends and family. Thanks, Chosen!

I called a bunch of plumber services in the neighborhood to get a quote for my shower that was draining very slowly. I went with Chosen Rooter and Plumbing because of their initial quote of $150 - $250. They also advertised that they have a 15% discount on their yelp page. Because of this and the 5-star review, I scheduled for them to help fix my drain issue.
I rarely write any negative reviews, but I feel that everyone should WATCH OUT for this company because of how misleading they are with their customers.
The technicians showed up and fixed the drain in less than 15 minutes. I knew that this was going to be an easy job since the drain was not fully clogged. I thought the initial quote of $150 would be the price with the 15% discount.
The technicians told us the total would be $250. I was shocked and confused but did not want to argue with strange men in my house and would just bring this up to the manager. I paid the invoice and immediately tried to contact them to see why the price was so high.
I brought this up with the manager, Daniel, but he was not helpful and I had to message several times to get an actual response.
He told me that they charge per project and because they used a power snake, it cost more. He also mentioned that the 15% discount only applies to neighbors and that I didn't ask for the discount.
First of all, I live in San Francisco, so I am confused about how I am not considered a neighbor. Second of all, I did mention that I am calling from Yelp and the discount.
Daniel proceeded to tell me that it's so great that they charge per project because other companies charge per hour and the customer is usually milked like a cow per hour.
Overall, I would not recommend this company as they mislead their customers and do not actually use their advertised discounts. I am not entirely sure why they have a 5-star rating but I do know that some companies can pay for better reviews.

Dear Daniel,
All of the other plumbing places I called did provide quotes. So I am not sure why you think your company is unique in this regard.
Additionally, I am confused about why you think you went above and beyond by responding to an email from me. You were defensive and all of a sudden came up with conditions for a discount you were advertising. You did not offer any suitable solution for me except a 10% off discount for service in the future. You cannot even honor a discount for a service the first time, a discount in the future will not be of use to me.
Daniel and his partner came to fix what I thought was a leaky wax ring at the base of a toilet. Just before they arrived I discovered we had a much bigger problem because sewage was backing up into our shower and onto the floor. Daniel and his partner stayed to deal with the job that was much bigger than what I'd told them to expect, and they did a good job of keeping things clean while working in tight spaces. I really appreciated Daniel's communication about the cause of the problem and how it should be addressed; he was willing to explain everything and he gladly answered all my questions. A big part of the issue was that the vent cover for our sewer line at the street had gone missing as a result of being installed wrong in the first place long ago. The uncovered opening had allowed leaves and debris to get into the vent over time, and finally the foreign material clogged the sewer line from our house to the sewer main at the street. After he and his partner cleaned out all the leaves and debris and got our sewer draining perfectly again, Daniel obtained a new cover and made a second visit to install it, making sure it was done securely and would stay in place.
They charged a fair price and were pleasant to work with. I will definitely call CR&P again when I need any plumbing work done.

They were prompt with their service. They even came out on a holiday. We had a mix up in communication, and they resolved it quickly.
My master bath has a couple of sink basins that were backing up into each other. Chosen Plumbing promptly responded and sent Jeremy to snake the pipes. He was very clean and professional. Was masked and wore shoe covers. The price quoted was fair and the job was completed in a reasonable time. No fuss, no mess, all done!

I had no hot water for 5 days waiting on my insurance to come through, but when Chosen Rooter Plumbing showed up at my door things changed. They took a look at my water heater and let me know the problem. After that they called it in and said they would be back when my insurance approved the work. So I asked the two nice gentlemen if they had a water heater on their truck, not only did they have one they had a top quality water heater and it was the perfect size. So I asked if they could put it in right now!
After one phone call, they told me yes sir no problem!
After the job was completed they showed me the work which was perfect and clean!
Hot water the next hour!!
Happy with the work performed!
Chosen Rooter and Plumbing will always be my first choice!

Our sewage line had to be replaced because of tree roots right before we were leaving for the holidays. I was nervous it wouldn't get done in time since it was a huge project. Luckily, Daniel and his team started work the next day. They broke through concrete, dug up 20 feet of pipe, replaced it, and re-paved our walkway and sidewalk in about 4 days. And that's including the city inspection! Very honest and reliable company - I shopped around to get another quote and no one could do it at the price Chosen quoted me, or nearly as quickly.

after celebrating International (communist related) Labor Day, I had the pleasure to greeting Robert at the entrance of my dismal building. Our elevator ride consisted of a dialogue of our obstacle courses that we maneuver and dodge in this Urine Basin of a city that to our dismay we lay roots in to claim home. Regardless of our mutual disappointments towards our surroundings, the focus quickly turned to the museum worthy apparatus of flusher that he uncovered.
My instincts whispered to me of a conniving story that would explain this antique's appearance that Robert is about to entirely replace. I was pleased to read the acronym on his van as CRaaPer since it may be smile even further as I hear Robert's knowledge of flows. Major salutes. hopefully the Landlord (Belong Leasing Company) dishes out the $ for that remedial action.
Last night my garage disposal went out, I filed a claim with my insurance and they called Chosen Rooter and Plumbing. They were very quick and responsive and had their technician Manny out to my house by 1130a. He was very speedy and professional, he quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the garbage disposal as well as giving me pointers in case I have any issues with my other sink. I've been pretty lucky with my appliances before my garbage disposal tank decided to crack and malfunction. Thankfully, Rooter & Plumbing were super responsive and easily got me an appointment with Jeremy. Wow. We are SO pleased! After calling over a dozen companies who were only able to visit the following day, I reached Daniel, who gave a resounding Of course!, when I asked out of the gate if someone could come by the same evening. Within the hour, Robert showed up to our home and was more than kind, competent and sure that he would fix our issue and we would be set. Sure enough, even after encountering some unexpected twists, Robert persisted, fixed the issue, cleaned up and was on his way in less than an hour. Our garage flooded on a Sunday morning with a big football playoff game. I called three rooter services: one put me on hold for 5 min and didn't return, one could only send someone in the evening, Daniel showed up within a couple of hours. He spent the time needed to clear a difficult problem and diagnosed a broken sewer line. He had guys at my house at 7:30 the next morning (a holiday) to dig up and replace the line. They had our water flowing again by noon. The work was fast and of high quality. They were friendly, yet professional and explained what needed to be done.
Everything handled the same day. Pricy, but the service was worth it. Ron, the plumber who responded knew what he was doing and explained everything, Great Guy.
Our garbage disposal was making a grinding sound so we called for repairs. Matt at Chosen Rooter & Plumbing answered the call and a time was arranged. He arrived during the interval mentioned. It took him minutes to find the problem and showed us how to get into the disposal if something similar happens again.
We highly recommend Chosen Rooter & Plumbing.
Hands down the most thorough, hardest working, and friendly plumbers I've ever used. They have came through on so many of the plumbing needs I've had over the past year.

Repeat clog? found the source of the issue (clay pipes to sewer) and completed the complex fix end-to-end (replacing the pipe, city inspection, and repaving the sidewalk
City suspects a water leak? investigated same day, found the issue, fixed it, and shared how I could get a rebate from the city for fixing
In the one time I shared being unsatisfied, Daniel went above and beyond to make things right. In the end, he left the conditions at my home even BETTER than it was before at no added cost, helping me to sell my home in excellent condition. There are few problems in life more immediate than a broken toilet! Andre and Marcus quickly took care of the problem and patiently answered all my questions. They were a joy to deal with and I highly recommend them.
Called in the morning to get the broken water header replaced. The new unit was installed in the early afternoon and old water header was gone without a trace. Excellent Work
Robert did an amazing job, very good service, very responsive and came sooner than we could hope for. Our water heater was really hard to get to with our washer and dryer in the way. But that was no problem at all, moved those, put it back, no complaints, no extra fee. Very professional and very friendly. Would highly recommend. Call them and ask for Robert!!
If I could give a zero I would. This place is nothing but a ripoff. We had to use them since this is the only place our home warranty allowed. Since March we had been dealing with the screen not working on our water heater. After around 12 visits, over $7,000 in costs for a new water heater and prior visits, they now left us with a water heater that is tripping the outlet GFCI about every 4 hours! When I called for their assistance to help, they wipes there hands clean and said I can either call an electrician or another plumber, but they are done with services for me. So 9 months later we are in worse shape than when we started. They don't back their work, go somewhere else!
Daniel and his team were so responsive, fast and got the job done quickly, with a great attitude! Our hot water heater burst during the holidays, unusually cold San Francisco temps, and going through a home warranty can be a pain. But I heard from Daniel the same day they were dispatched, they were at our house in a few hours, he managed the discussions with the home warranty company directly, and the next day we had a new water heater!

My wife and I were dealing with a persistent toilet clog and we were starting to worry about a bigger drain issue. We called Chosen Rooter & Plumbing this morning, the day after Christmas, and they sent Robert out same-day. Robert not only helped fix the problem but he spent time teaching us about what to do, look for, listen for, etc. He was so nice and helpful - we felt very reassured by him and appreciated how quickly they responded to on a holiday!
I've had 2 great experiences with CR&P and I'm very happy with their service. They were contracted through my home warranty and I highly recommend Chosen. Scheduling has sometimes been an issue but we made it work. Firstly, a few months ago, our shower drain was clogged and Ramon came and had to spend about an hour using various tools and snakes to get to the root of the clogs and cleaned up well afterward. He was very courteous and made sure he didn't leave until the job was done.
Today, Daniel came to work on a clogged drain in our kitchen, did a quick fix and gave me a quote on what it would take to fix the problem for good (improperly installed pipes in the first place). Then, he went above and beyond to help us with a leaky tap in my bathroom and taught me how to change the washers properly for our old taps, and gave me an extra one in the likely case we will need it in the next few years until we remodel. Our garbage disposal suddenly died and so we contacted them, within 3 hours they had sent someone out. They were communicative the whole time about time window and they actually arrived on time.
Daniel was amazing, he was kind and explained our problem, and gave us options for a replacement disposal. Beyond that he also helped us understand a leak that had formed around our dishwasher vent.. thing, and he sealed it for us. Excellent Service!
I had the best experience with Daniel Tseyref! He was extremely helpful dealing with problems with my shower and he took the time to answer all my questions and make sure everything worked properly. Super professional. I am so thankful that they are in charge of helping at my property.
Our drains weren't draining effectively during the historic storms over the holidays. I got in touch with Chosen and they were able to come out relatively quickly. Mario was easy to work with however, the first visit was just to quote for the hydrojetting we needed to do.
Issue #1 (Hydrojet wasn't working) - When he came back with the hydrojet the following day it wasn't working. He didn't have any other help so we had to help him lug it into the yard and he wasn't able to get it working. He spoke with his manager and his manager came over after a little bit and tried to fix it to no avail. The manager Daniel said he needed to take it back to the shop to get it fixed and to give them a 5 hour window.
Issue #2 (Had to wait 5 hours for them to try to fix the hydrojet) - It took them up until the 5 hour mark, pretty much the whole day to get it working. During this time i was frantically searching for someone else to come which i fortunately did before another storm was scheduled for the following day.
Issue #3 (They held the deposit, never called me back and even mentioned that for future customers they should increase the deposit) - When the manager Daniel came I had already found Fast Response Rooter who came immediately and already started hydrojetting successfully. Even after speaking with both the lady at the office and Daniel to consider giving me back my deposit (or meet me somewhere in the middle) for basically unsuccesfully delivering any services at all, they never called me back even though they said they would. Daniel even mentioned that he should increase the deposit next time to $500 to hold customers accountable to use their service even though their hydrojet wasn't working and customers would be taking on a big risk by even using them.
Despite the decent reviews on yelp, this business is clearly not customer focused. I would highly discourage anyone from working with them.
Had a leaky kitchen sink, broken garbage disposal area and a backyard sump pump that needed checking on. Made claim with Fidelity National Home Warranty and they assigned Chosen Chosen Rooter & Plumbing. Andre arrived on time within the appt time window, was wearing a mask, and was very pleasant to deal with. Fixed the sink leak, installed a new garbage disposal, and found no problem with the sump pump. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes! That's what I call service! A+++ Thanks Andre and Chosen!
I have a home warranty from Fidelity National who selected Chosen to respond to my service call. Instead of waiting a day or two to hear from them about scheduling an appointment, they called within a couple of hours to advise that a team was going to arrive at my apartment within 10 or 15 minutes. Wow! That alone would have been enought to get my recommendation. Imagine how amazed I am that the two plumbers who showed up were polite, professional, clean.... They got everything done within half an hour and left my place cleaner than when they arrived. Thanks Chosen!

Have had issues with a tub for weeks and others were unable to fix the problem, but we were able to get it fixed same day. Quick and efficient!!
CR&P was chosen by our home warranty company to come clear a clog in our home. The actual problem was more convoluted (not to any fault of CR&P), but here are the highlights:
1. Scheduling was a bit of a mixed bag. I had to call to followup with the company a few times on my own when I was expecting a phone call from them. For the initial appointment, the tech arrived a couple hours past the designated window (I suspect there was a scheduling mixup). Overall, it was fine, but seemed slightly unorganized.
2. Ron ended up coming out to the house on three separate occasions. He was fantastic. Super nice, considerate and did a great job. He had to remove and install two different toilets, did some snaking and some other investigation. Can't say enough good things about him.
3. Daniel came with Ron on the third trip to do the final fix, which included installing a cleanout on an exterior pipe and flushing a few things. They were both great. Daniel went out of his way to go buy a cleanout so they could get the job done that day (it was a Friday) instead of having to wait until Monday, which we really appreciated. The cleanout install seemed quite expensive ($825 for the part and install) but I'm not sure of the going rate for installing one on an exterior, accessible pipe (albeit through a window).
Overall I had a good experience with them. I hope to not need them again, but if I do, I would be happy to have Ron and Daniel stop by.

We had a sink which backed up during the holidays. We needed a new pipe nut and a rooting. I called at EOD on 12/22 and Daniel was very helpful in arranging a visit for the next morning. Everything was handled in a very professional manner, including a text to let me know when the plumber was on their way. They showed up early in the promised window. Our plumber Robert looked over the situation, called in, got a price, and got to work. You could see he was really experienced because he knew to show value to the customer at every step, showing that the rooting was working, and that the pipes were cleaned out and the correct materials used. We had Robert from Chosen Rooter, and he was amazing. Not only did he quickly fix our clogged drain, he walked me through the house and did free plumbing inspection, showing me how to maintain and fix common problems myself. I learnt so much, and now I can shower without swimming!

On a Sunday and within 30 minutes from a phone call requesting help a technician arrived. Grateful and impressed. Jesus was determined to resolve our stopped up kitchen sink and did not stop until he fixed it. He did an excellent job removing all debris in the pipes that were part of the problem. This is the 2nd time I have used this company and they will always be the one I turn to.
We were put in touch with Daniel's company through our home warranty for a toilet leak issue. Andre and Daniel went above and beyond fixing the original issue causing the leak and also replacing the wax seal beneath our toilet to make sure there were no recurrences. They worked with us to also get us the plumber's reports we needed to file further claims with home insurance and were kind and thoughtful throughout the process explaining all the issues and working within our timelines.
Bonus: They left the bathroom completely clean after they were done.
We would definitely work with them again.

Daniel and his team have now come out twice to do work on my house in the sunset. This included a repair and the installation of a pressure regulating valve. They are always competent, truthful, diligent and get things done really quickly and with high quality. They also communicate really well and deliver on their commitments. I would highly recommend Chosen Rooter and Plumbing, and will be using them in the future for all my plumbing needs.
Can't speak for all technicians at chosen rooter & plumbing, but if you get Mario he is the absolute BEST! We got matched with this company through our appliance insurance firm. They were able to schedule us within a few days and were very prompt in communicating changes to arrival times.
The plumber who came to our home did a great job replacing our garbage disposal and fixing plumbing issues with our kitchen sink. He was very efficient and followed safety measures for COVID. The plumber who came wore a face mask and brought disinfectant to clean up the areas after completing the work.

I was referred to Chosen Rooter & Plumbing thru a home warranty. We had a shower leak, which turned out to be multiple leaks and involved tearing out the tile to repair. Nick Schneider is technically strong, is consultative in his approach and left the job neat when completed. Also, the dispatcher Sarah (don't know her last name) was awesome and constantly keeping me updated via texts, including over the weekend.
We were matched to Chosen via our household insurance. They were able to come by in a few days and replace valves under the sink which were no longer working properly. The technician who came worked effectively with the building manager to turn the water on/off as needed and did a really nice job replacing all the valves with quality, quarter turn, USA made units.
For several years, we have wanted to have tankless water heaters installed in our two condos. Nearly every plumbing company that we talked with was less than encouraging. We actually gave up several times until this one last attempt to have tankless water heaters installed. We had the good fortune to select Chosen Rooter & Plumbing from a group of plumbing companies that were listed on Yelp. Daniel, as the account executive, immediately took the lead in helping us make decisions that would best meet our needs. He was knowledgeable and thoughtful throughout the process. He was a careful listener and after hearing our hopes and expectations, he put together a great implementation plan. At every step of the way he gave us advice and guidance that was remarkable. These plumbers are great. We had two separate plumbing needs shortly after we moved into our new home (old house) and they took care of us as timely as possible. Everyone who came out to our home for these two jobs was very nice and thoroughly explained what needed to happen. When the work happened they were really fast. They even helped me with ideas on other plumbing situations we had in the house. I definitely recommend them.
Put simply, go somewhere else. They are not trustworthy and will deprioritize you as a customer whether you like it or not. We went through a home warranty company to have our water heater replaced and i was happy to see chosen rooter was selected (because of the high reviews).
The night before I received a call from a chosen rooter to schedule the next days appointment. I indicated we had a 30 gal water heater just to make sure they didn't bring a 40 (because a 40 wouldn't fit and I would have expected that they would have known (given the size of the closet). They showed up the next day with a 40 gal - waste of time.
Since we had a flood we were trying to explore options with chosen to have the water heater installed elsewhere. I heard from Daniel and he indicated that it wouldn't be too much. Mind you at this point, we have no hot water and have to negotiate with insurance to stay elsewhere.
I don't hear from the company for a couple days even though they said they should have somebody by in the next 48 hours (it's already days since they showed up). I get a call from the company after the delay indicating that they are trying to get the home warranty to cover what I'm looking for. I get a call from home warranty and they said I'm sending you a check for the work and you deal with chosen directly (1000 for water heater + install). At this point, I think maybe we can still get this done. I hear from the company that now the install is 2600 - clearly a move to have me go elsewhere after wasting my time with this company. I have already received install quotes less than 1k by making two phone calls.
TLDR - in short, they don't care about you. You'll be out in the street before they take care of something.

Following my review, the business owner contacted me to discuss the scope of what was done and the pricing issue I had raised.
He politely explained their pricing policy and the difficulty in pricing plumbing jobs accurately. He emphasized that it's their goal to be transparent and offer pricing that is fair to customers. I found him to be genuine and sincere and he listened to my concerns. He generously offered a discount so as to fairly reflect the cost of the job that was completed. I appreciate the owner taking action to address and remedy my concerns.
Our garbage disposal was,seized.. They came on time, did the job fast, even upgraded us to a more powered garbage disposal. Great service!

After many years of struggling with unreliable plumbers, we have finally found a reliable and courteous plumbing service. From the moment I called to initiate service until the job was done, it was seamless! Andre, the plumber, was very professional and respectful, and more importantly, he knows what he is doing! And Marina, the lady who took my call, was a total pro with excellent follow-through skills. Without a doubt, Chosen Rooter & Plumbing is our go to plumber for all future plumbing jobs.

I initially gave this company 1 star. This was because they were either a no-show or late six times within a two week period. Their GM then reached out to me to correct the situation. Not only did the GM himself come to fix our toilet, but he was literally here in less than 10 minutes. If you ever have an issue with customer service, reach out to Daniel. He obviously takes things like this seriously. Not to mention, he came after hours to fix our toilet.

So pissed off with this company. First, they come and fail to fix our toilet. It started messing up within hours after they left. Then, the worst part, they failed to arrive at our home on more than 5 occasions. I cannot believe how horrible their communication has been. Constant rescheduling and horrible customer service. I would not recommend this company. I was told today they would arrive between 12-3 pm. No one is here and no calls. Boggling. This makes 6 failures to show within two weeks for me.
The whole team at CR&P could not have been more helpful after our water heater broke last week. From the team at the office, who tried their hardest to get a technician out ASAP (and kept us continually updated), to the technicians themselves. After various repair attempts, we agreed to replace the heater (moving to a tankless version). Ron and Mario were incredible. They helped us work out the best location, installed the new unit and took the old one away - doing so with minimal mess or impact. All with a big smile on their faces and a really caring and friendly manner. We are thrilled with the result and very happy to have hot water again, using a much more energy efficient unit. hired them to do a simple washer/dryer job. They didn't listen to what we were trying to tell them about the location we wanted the units, so they ended up cutting the pipes wrong which lead to the washer/dryer being in the wrong place. They also organized our piping in the most nonsensical way; putting the pipes for the slop sink behind the washer/dryer, so that the units had to sit way off the wall (protruding into a walkway).
After botching the job, they left without finishing (our washer/dryer are inoperable), and haven't responded to any calls or texts to try and get them back out to complete the terrible work they did.
If you do hire them for a job, id urge you to make sure they do it right, and don't pay until you're darn sure everything works.
Some of the most disrespectful and incompetent people I've ever worked with. Do yourself a favor and don't roll the dice on working with them.

The plumber was on time, wore a mask (and booties for his shoes). He was super pleasant and he was very kind about our little dog sniffing his shoes. The work was done quickly and he cleaned up after himself. Great visit. Thanks.
Plumbers are not someone you want to have to call very often... but if you do, I can't think of a nicer, more professional team than Daniel and Ron. And I've sadly had to see them several times this year. We had a downstairs bathroom that kept backing up, and on video inspection, they found that the pipe wasn't sloped correctly and needed to be replaced. It involved opening up the concrete floor in our garage and replacing the faulty section (which was not originally installed by them). Ron worked hard, yet was always smiling and cleaned up his work area neatly each day. He also found and repaired a leaky spigot to our washing machine! Daniel was responsive by email and phone, and stuck to his estimate. He also was great at explaining what was going on with all the plumbing in my house -- I learned a lot! Thank you to the team at Chosen Rooter. I'm glad to have people I can trust and call for our plumbing needs!

Chosen Rooter & Plumbing was quick to schedule an appointment and the service technician was polite, knowledgeable and skillfully unclogged the pipes which connected the garbage disposal and main kitchen sink. It wasn't an easy job and he needed his large snake to thoroughly unclog and get water flowing properly again. The tech got to work promptly, was personable, and gave some professional advice to avoid such issues in the future. This company is now my go to plumber!
Responded very quickly to our message, able to come by our home in just a few hours, and able to fix our toilet immediately. Would recommend them and call again for any future plumbing needs

Needed water filter and faucet replaced and had a great experience w/ Chosen. Jesus was punctual, polite, and worked quickly. He took his time to explain to me what he was doing, and because he checked his work, noticed that there was a small issue and pointed it out to me immediately. Alex is extremely responsive and professional on the phone too.
Did a great job of fixing the stopper in our tub. On top of that, also steered us towards an easy and cheap solution that we could do ourselves to fix our shower diverter.

Ramon at Chosen plumbing is amazing - he is fast, efficient, knows what the problem is, polite, and clean. My home warranty service sent him out a few times to fix multiple issues that 3 other plumbers could not. Scheduling with Chosen is also very simple and they are available to help quickly! Ramon will be our plumber of choice going forward!
When our water heater went out we were relieved to remember it was covered under our home warranty. Chosen Rooter & Plumbing picked up the ticket and sent out their tech, Andre, first thing this morning. The owner, Daniel, apparently went to bat for us with the warranty company and petitioned that he replace the water heater and not just fix the ignition assembly. Andre was back with the replacement heater in a few hours and we're set to resume normal life with jot water in about an hour. They were prompt and provided friendly personable service with Covid-appropriate measures to make us feel safe having them work in our home. Very glad to know they're a full service team when our 90 year old house needs some bigger work (sewer line?) in the future.
They fixed the issue with our sink but did not come with a bucket so the plumber made us use multiple of our own pots and pans (which were filled with very gross / muddy water from other units). The plumber also left in the middle of the job to charge his phone and enlisted us to watch the sink drain, and empty the pot of water when full, which was both unprofessional and laborious for us. We were charged $450 for about 45 minutes of work.

Daniel was really great and helpful. When my water heater was acting up, he was able to come the same day and quickly figured out the problem. When I chose to do the repair myself (I had done it once before) he was kind about it and didn't even charge me for the visit! I'd definitely turn to him again for my plumbing needs.
I should also note that he wore a mask and adhered to protocols due to COVID.
Daniel was sent out via our home warranty company and I could not have been happier.

Our home warranty service connected us with this company -- having had several less than stellar experiences with plumbers they had sent this experience was FABULOUS! The appointment was made promptly and the company kept us updated when the technician was slightly delayed by traffic. Jesus, our technician was polite and helpful. He fixed our problem quickly! I totally recommend this company and this technician!
The team at Chosen was great. Through the whole process, they were incredibly responsive, flexible, and helpful. I had a property that I wasn't able be at in person, and Daniel was able to help with coordination over the phone no problem, and got the issue fixed promptly. Daniel showed up 30 minutes early, barely more than an hour after I called, when I had a plumbing emergency. Toilet clogged up...and then sewage started coming out of the shower drain -it wasn't pretty and I was relieved he came so quick. He was able to snake the shower drain instead of having to remove the toilet, saving time and cost. Fixed it all in about 20 minutes and then looked at a few plumbing odds and ends around the house for me as long as he was there. Highly recommend Daniel and CR&P.

I had a great experience with Chosen Rooters! I called about a clogged toilet and they were able to come by same day. They were friendly and efficient. Prices were very reasonable. I'd recommend!
Jesús expertly identified the problem, and flagged things to watch for in the future. Prompt, professional and friendly. He was happy to answer some basic questions for me and made sure I was satisfied with the work.
Robert was the best. We had a difficult clog in our sink and a broken garbage disposal. He fixed both issues. He spent the time with us and educated us on preventive maintenance. Incredible expience.
After we had a recent serious backup of our sewer that made our sinks and bathrooms unusable, Chosen was referred to us by Fidelity. Nick came promptly and used a snake to unblock our sewer line. He was very effective at quickly diagnosing the issue. He was patient and empathetic, and took his time to explain what was happening. In order to uncover any lurking issues that cause the blockage we hired them again to run a camera through the line. Daniel came, ran the camera, and assisted us there. He showed us that there were no major plumbing issues, that the cause was likely due to an old toilet which was not efficiently expelling waste. Having had two separate appointments with Chosen, we are very happy with the service they delivered!
I recommend this company very much. I had a problem with a clogged drain where I also wasn't sure if my food disposal malfunctioning.

Daniel and his team are professional and courteous and consistently deliver high-quality service. Most recently, Avi replaced a very old bathroom sink in our guest bathroom. Not only did Daniel and Avi find an exact replacement (for a very old and oddly-sized sink), but they replaced it without having to change any piping or modify/replace any countertop. Daniel and his team are fantastic! I highly recommend them. Daniel is very professional and prompt. He quickly troubleshooted the issue and provided me options to fixing a hot water heater. After he installed the new water heater he fixed a leaking pipe underneath the kitchen sink. I will have him and his team come back to work on other plumbing items that i've been holding off doing. I hate leaving negative reviews, but I feel this one is warranted.
I was charged $175 for a service call and the only thing I got out of it was a O ring on a drain, an exorbitant quote for a shower diverter valve and to be told my other issue isn't something they can do. The quote of $1,100 was to replace a plunger valve on a Kohler shower system and to fix a drain. The plunger I was told is sold as a system and costs over $700. Meanwhile, I have found them online sold individually for $75.20 at faucet direct.
One thing I hate more than overpaying, is being lied to.

I have never used Chosen Rooter and Plumbing but they are on my list for the future!
My neighbor's car was boosted in a local grocery store's parking lot and his backpack full of books was taken. The miscreant who pilfered the items was obviously not a Rhodes Scholar as the books were immediately dumped! Along comes Ramon, who works for Chosen Rooter and Plumbing.
Upon finding and searching the backpack, Ramon located a name and address of the victim and subsequently returned everything to the rightful owner! Ramon took time out of his busy work day and did the right thing by returning the stolen items. It meant a great deal to the victim as he is a school teacher and those books were germane to the courses he teaches.
Through a little investigative work, I was able to find out who returned the stolen items and subsequently contacted Richard at Chosen Rooter and Plumbing. I thanked him for a job done well as Ramon's small act of kindness shows that he is honest, he has integrity and is sincere. Thank you Ramon!

What a God sent Daniel has been! After having failed attempts with other plumbers, Daniel, was to the rescue, and in such short notice. My mom was on her way back home from a prayer when she noticed the Chosen Rooter and Plumbing truck, while Daniel was driving away my mom was able to flagged him down to ask if he was available to take a look at our pluming issue. He told my mom he was on the way home but noticed my mom was in distressed and agreed to help her. He accessed the issue and explained what he can do right away. I wish I could give 10 stars in this review. Robert was the plumber on the job.. He was extremely knowledgeable and he never gave up. This was very challenging clogged bath tub, which was difficult to fit the snake in, and had a hard T that it was very difficult to get past. A previous plumber was also unsuccessful. He never gave up during the job. Instead he persevered, using his knowledge and experience, and managed to break through the blockage to remove the hair that was causing the clogged bathtub. Highly recommend Robert at Chosen Rooter & Plumbing. Thanks Robert!

Daniel is fantastic! Last minute morning call to rooter out my main line. First glance when they arrived-how the heck does the truck look? It was clean & looked like he was very organized-great sign of a sub. He looked at the problem & got right to work with his assistant. I highly recommend them; attentive, courteous & fast. I use them again. Oh, clean, too!
Needed to get a water heater installed, negotiated a price of 2050 for a 50 gallon tank, which was a little higher than I wanted, but during the install, i needed pay 315 more, for a shut off valve replacement, which somehow broke during the installation. And this was not an option to get done elsewhere, I'd prefer to get a 2nd opinion, but was not given an option. If you want to negotiate a price and then get charged 15% more, then hire chosen rooter, I will not be using them again

Bathtub was clogged with standing water and plunging could not clear it. We have just the one bathroom in our house and three in the household so we needed it fixed. Found Chosen Rooter and Plumbing on Yelp as the closest plumbers (and with high reviews). Called and scheduled a visit for the afternoon.
Daniel came out, took a look and started to work. Our house was built in the mid-1940's and the pipes and structure for the bathroom are the original. Turned out to be major work requiring replacement of bathtub drain & piping. Daniel got the parts he needed & put in a lot of effort in dealing with the old parts & structure. He was able to complete the work after a couple of hours and even helped with a toilet flow leak while he was at it. All the while, Daniel was very friendly, persistent in his work, and checked that everything was working properly throughout the process and before he left.
Robert did a great job solving and fixing a bathtub plumbing issue. He was friendly, knowledgeable, experienced and kept me updated all through the job.

Nick came as schedule and was very respectful and easy going. He quickly fixed the slow draining sink and offered to look at anything else we might be having an issue with. He also provided general plumping tips.
Hard to get drain clearing service scheduled with Daniel, and despite asking him in advance for an estimate of how much the service would cost, I never received an estimate.
I probably should've tried some other plumbing/rooting companies, but was already more or less in CR&P's system and more rain was on the way, so I stuck with them.
The technicians who performed the drain cleaning seemed competent enough. But then they gave us a bill for $650, which was way more than the service should've cost.
Not sure if I would call on CR&P again.

Excited to put in a review for Chosen Rooter & Plumbing. They came to my rescue not once but twice! First time, an emergency toilet flooding. Second, a dripping shower faucet that needed to be fixed. They are extremely responsive and friendly and get the job done. I'm excited to bring them on for a future remodel as well!
Emergency. It's Sunday afternoon. Our holiday party guests were due at 3 pm. At 2 pm we found that our drains were clogged. Toilets overflowed. It could not have happened at a worse time. I went on-line and looked for the nearest rooter-plumber who could come out. Chosen was nearby and answered the phone. I could hear a child in the background. I explained the problem. You have come to the right place. We will be there between 3 and 4.
In the event, Ramon arrived at 3:30. He explained how he would investigate. When he determined the general location of the blockage, he set to work. By 5:30pm the blockage was cleared and we were good to go.
I give top marks to Chosen for their prompt response and top marks for Ramon to a job well done.
Here's hoping I will not have to see Ramon professionally any time soon. But you can be sure I will call Chosen when the occasion arises.

I wanted to give credit to Daniel at Chosen Rooter and Plumbing and draw your attention to him and his company. He came to my house to fix a hot water issue that I thought was related to a defective water heater. He did some quick diagnosing and determined that my problem was not the water heater but the sub-standard work a previous plumber had done installing a shower valve. Once he was on the problem he fixed it quickly and then explained it to me - and made no mess. He was personable and efficient - a real trade pro!
He and his team are going to help me with another larger problem and I will update this review after that is done. In the interim, I recommend him highly and note that they are a local company, serving the San Francisco for years. I think you would not go wrong calling them for your plumbing needs.
I highly recommend this company. Robert was very helpful and very nice. My garbage disposal is working again.
Daniel and Issac came by today to look at my sump pump that wasn't working. After taking it apart they got my pump working again. They were knowledgeable and efficient, would call them again in the future for any plumping related issues.

I had a backup and leak issue in my kitchen sink that was not a simple fix. Chosen Rooter and Plumbing had the tools and know-how to solve the problem. Jesus was incredibly friendly and helpful - solved the issue and even cleaned under the sink after the job was done (Something I haven't done in years). Highly recommended.
Our tub was slowly backing up and not draining when we took a shower. Robert from CR&P came and tried to snake it out. When he couldn't reach the clogged portion of the pipe he was able to cut away the problem area and replace it the same morning. Now our tub is draining great and our feet are clean again!
The whole team at Chosen Rooter and Plumbing were fantastic. From the dispatcher who was quick and responsive to Robert, the plumber who came to help. We had misdiagnosed the problem but he set us straight. Robert was thorough and patient while ensuring that our clogged pipes were cleaned all the way through. He made sure that even after he cleaned the pipes in our sink, he got to the more troublesome pipes and worked outside in the rain to ensure that our pipes flowed all the way through. He was a definite life saver!
Ron is great. We didn't have hot water, our Water heater suddenly became a water fall overnight, flooding the garage. He made sure was connected properly up to code when installing the new one. For me is important to have our new water heater installed properly since we live an earthquake zone.
Chosen Rooter & Plumbing works with my Home Warranty (First American Home Warranty). Scheduled an appointment on Friday and CRAM came out on Monday. Service technician/Plumber Daniel was great. Eased my concerns about my warranty and got straight to work. Garbage disposal and Dish Water leakage resolved. Garbage disposal replaced and leak issue resolved. Will follow up with status in a few days.
Had a massive backup on a Sunday Father's Day. Daniel was helpful and responsive. Tried to snake, failed to get through ($325). Recommended powerful water jetter ($1100) and had limited success. Turned out clay pipe at sidewalk full of tree roots and needed replacement (additional $8500). Sounds expensive and was for us (prices listed don't include having to have apartment bathroom disinfected and two nights for tenant at hotel.
That said, Chosen was responsive,active, logical, kept us informed. I highly recommend.

Daniel and his team at Chosen Rooter are fantastic - they are honest, diligent, and the only plumber who I've experienced that is focused on doing a project in a cost-effective way for the benefit of the client. I had 5 other plumbers come and look at an issue in my house, and all of them said I needed extensive work done at an insane cost on my leaking lightwell. Daniel and his team were the only ones to do a diagnostic, and they determined the problem was not that bad and were able to complete the project at a fraction of the cost. My house is now dry as a desert! What's also awesome is that Daniel has a network of great people who can do related work, so in our case they did some drywall patching, paint, roof repair, and replaced a door in my garage. It looked great and really helped a busy mom like myself not have to go and find other people do to the work. I really valued this all-inclusive experience. It's obvious that Daniel is focused on creating long-term relationships with his clients so we will only be using him and Chosen Rooter in the future. Highly recommend!
Our sink was stopped up and Brett and Ramon cam in and got the job immediately! Showed us the problem and gave us the solution of how to prevent clogs. They were very kind, respectful and curtious.

What can I say? These guys know how to get the job done fast and done right. A special shoutout to Daniel and Avi for being the 2 most patient and hardworking men I've come across.
When I initially sent out a request for help with my sink, they immediately got back to me and worked around my busy schedule. After a friendly consultation visit, we had a very transparent conversation about pricing and logistics - something that is hard to find in this industry riddled with hidden fees.
I challenge you to find another Plumbing and Household Repair company that has better service like these guys. I strongly and highly recommend Rooter & Plumber for all your needs, 10/10.

The technician was very professional and courteous, compliant with pandemic regulations. Service was scheduled within two hours of my request and completed the job to our satisfaction.
We had Chosen Rooter and Plumbing to take care of drain back up from washer into our kitchen sink. They were very courteous and professional. They scheduled the appointment quickly and showed up on time. I like their time window of 2 hours rather than 4 hours which some other pluming company had offered last time . . Mario who had come for the appointment was great and very knowledgeable. He could identify the problem and fixed it nicely . I would highly recommend them for any plumbing work.

We had a kitchen sink emergency late Sunday evening. A human actually answered the call at Chosen Rooter & Plumbing (not a machine) and agreed to send a technician out first thing the next morning. The dispatcher kept me updated on their timing. Robert was super helpful when he arrived and fixed the problem within 15-20 min and tested it out with us to make sure the job was done right. He even cleaned up the work area before he left. Thank you!
Writing this review after the second time I used their service. The first time I had called them, the issue I was facing was very difficult to root-cause and others tried but could not. Chosen fixed it. I needed them again recently and it was pleasant experience as well. They are very professional, communicate everything very well.
Daniel & Ron were fantastic! Will gladly call them again if we have issues with our water heater. They replaced the water heater swiftly and efficiently.
I would not choose to work with Chosen Rooter again. They were selected for us by our home warranty company to install a new water heater. After the installation we were having problems with gas in the hot water line sputtering out of the tap. It took several weeks and multiple scheduling attempts for them to come look at it, and when they did finally take a look, they just said they had no idea what was wrong and that we should get the home warranty company to assign us a different plumber. Well, we did, and that plumber identified the problem (bad anode) and also pointed out some code violations with how Chosen had installed the water heater originally.
Daniel showed up at the promised time just like he said. Was nice and knowledgeable. Lighted our gas water heater since the flame had gone out.

Called them for a dishwasher leak and house water flow issues, and Robert came out quickly and addressed the water issue immediately, explaining what he was doing and why, and then stopped the dishwasher leak and carefully diagnosed the issue as something an appliance specialist would have to address. He also noticed that my kitchen sink faucet was very loose, which I've had several plumbers look at over the years and try to fix, but they all had failed at it (since it always quickly got loose again). Robert was the only one who noticed the real issue--that the hole the faucet goes into was too big, and the harness/nut that holds the faucet from underneath was too small for it, and faucet needed to be replaced, since it was a mismatch that couldn't be fixed. He had a perfect replacement for it in his truck (with a larger harness attachment), which he installed on the spot, and I'm really pleased with it and the whole experience, responsiveness, knowledge/expertise, and general helpfulness. Highly recommend.
Our water heater broke and Daniel came within a couple hours on a Sunday. We replaced it in a few hours and was very easy to work with. Grateful for his clear communication and efficient work!

Viany called me the night before and set up the appointment to unclog my kitchen sink. He arrived on time and was friendly and communicative. He first tried his 25ft snake and it didn't reach the clog, so he went down and hauled the 100ft Spartan machine up the stairs to my house. He ran the machine until it reached the clog. He also wanted to ensure that the garbage disposal was not the issue and ran water through it. I really appreciated his above and beyond service.
My toilet fill valve was broken and the entire toilet had to be removed to replace the part. Robert was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He was able to remove the toilet, replace the part and reinstall the toilet back in a short amount of time (no easy task as I witnessed him working). I would recommend this company. Chosen Rooter & Plumbing responded to a home warranty claim we made shortly after moving last year. Our experience then was so positive and memorable that we called CR&P directly this time when we needed the thermocouple in our hot water heater replaced. The dispatcher (wish I knew their name) was lightning fast and responsive via text. As soon as I gave them a window that worked for us, the technicians were on their way. Ron and Manny arrived and replaced the thermocouple in ~15min. They were efficient, confirmed my diagnosis, and clearly communicated pricing. CR&P, like any professional plumbing work (as with electricians), is expensive, but I'd rather leave it to a business I trust. CR&P earned our trust and we'll call them whenever we need a professional plumber. Thanks Ron and Manny!

Not only is the owner of the company a standup guy: Daniel, but their whole crew stands up to the sew, pushin' it through. We have a home warranty which makes for cheap visits, but Chosen Rooter doesn't try to just show up and collect the $. They give it to you straight and unclogged. They even let us know when the Warranty Company was being a bit shady. Good guy and company. They saved us lots of time and $.
We had our water heater replaced by Chosen Rooter. They have done works in our house before and to form, this time is exemplary as usual. They were competent, courteous, and they go the extra mile by cleaning up after themselves. I highly recommend them for all tasks large and small that have to do with plumbing and replacement of water heaters. Their contact is inked, not penciled, in my record of contractors who are reliable and competent.
I don't think I have ever written a 'review' of a plumber....but I was very impressed by the work and the attitude of this particular service.
He was able to quickly access a (bad) situation and correct it.
I was paired with them by my home warrantee company- and I was very pleased by the work.

Daniel responded very quickly and professionally to my request for a quote via Yelp. I explained that my tenant was having some drainage and leaking issues with the garbage disposal, and he very happily called the tenant to coordinate the repair. A couple hours later, I got a text from my tenant that a new garbage was installed. So efficient! Daniel then sent me an invoice via email with a payment button - the pricing was reasonable and payment was very easy. I would definitely use Daniel again.
Chosen Rooter is great!! They were ready to put our water heater in right away, but the home warranty company was dragging their feet!! As soon as Chosen got the red light, they made room in their schedule and got the water heater in ASAP!! You guys are great!!
We had a broken Hot Water System on a Saturday in one of the colder fall days of San Francisco. Chosen Rooter heard our 'emergency' call and sent Ron to help us out on a Sunday!
Ron was extremely patient and helpful, giving us a good idea of the possible options, maintenance tips and even temporarily fixed it so we could have a few hot water showers SAFELY before the unit was replaced. And it was in two days flat - no dramas, no questions asked.
Ron was also kind enough to check our water pressure in the garage and at the back, to verify if we have the right pressure for our showers (and the rest of the house)!
Overall a 5-star experience from a very satisfied customer.

We just finished a major bathroom renovation. Daniel and Avi did everything - from demolition to plumbing, electrical work, tiling, bathroom/shower and toilet installation. The entire project took a bit longer than planned but it was within our budget and the end product was very good. The quality of work is very high. Avi did an incredible job with wall and floor tiles. He is a true perfectionist! Both men are incredible nice and polite. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic experience with Daniel Tseyref, the project manager at Chosen Rooter & plumbing. We were under the impression that our garbage disposal needed to be replaced due to a leak under the sink. Daniel however assessed the situation and noted that the problem was that the garbage disposal was actually incorrectly installed. He fixed the issue in minutes and there have been no further leaks. I really commend his honesty. He was also extremely pleasant and an absolute pleasure to have in my home.
There's never a convenient time for your tank to fail but I got lucky. I actually reached Chosen through yelp for a plumber and chose them because they responded very quickly and I actually got to speak with a real human about my problem (thank you for your kindness and patience Alex who answers the service calls). After I sheepishly turned down their service to wait for my home warranty company to call back, I got a message saying they were on their way. Turns out that my home warranty uses chosen as a vendor and I felt that I was in good hands again. They dispatched Jesus, a kind and personable soul who inspected the heater and assured me that he would be back. Fast forward to an hour or so later (on Mother's Day mind you) Daniel calls and sends jesus back and the new heater was installed, rubbish removed and basement as clean as I left it. I would not hesitate to use or recommend Chosen again. They saved us! And also their logo is literally CRAP (chosen rooter and plumbing) big points for that gem.
Roberto and Mario did a fantastic job replacing our garbage disposal and snaking our drain. It was a difficult job due to years of neglect from the prior homeowner, and they did the job quickly and efficiently. They also made sure it was all covered under our buyers' insurance!

There were several issues with my bathroom, and Daniel took a look at each of them and immediately knew what was wrong - and how to fix it. He also had all the parts needed to make the fixes right in his truck. Throughout the the process, he was kind enough to let me watch him work and explained what he was doing every step of the way. He also advised me on some upgrades I should make to avoid issues in the long run - without being pushy; it was clear he genuinely wanted to make sure I could rely on the plumbing in my home. On top of everything, he worked super fast, all while making sure everything he did actually fixed the problem. After he left, I made sure to save his contact information. My toilet flooded a day ago (nightmare). I let my landlord know immediately and they called Chosen Rooter & Plumbing, thank god. Ron showed up during the window
of time requested and literally went above and beyond to get my toilet fixed for me. He had to work on my lower level bathroom but had to do quite a walk around to get under the crawl space beneath the bathroom and had to walk around the entire complex a couple times to do so. I highly recommend, especially if you want something fixed ASAP and know that they want to fix it just as badly as you do. Thank you so so much again Ron!!
I really like working with Daniel and his team of professional plumbers. They respond quickly, schedule conveniently and arrive on-time. Most importantly, they've always fixed my plumbing problem regardless of how easy or difficult (and I've had the full range).
I was connected to CR&P through my home warranty company for a leaking pipe in my new house. Moments before Jesus arrived, my garbage disposal failed spilling water all over my sink cabinet. And to top it all off, we found out the sink stopper in the leaky bathroom had also failed and couldn't hold water. Talk about a new home nightmare!
In spite of all the add-ons this house threw at them, Jesus and Justin did a fantastic job and stuck around until everything was fixed and working right. I even offered them lunch for sticking around so long, but they politely declined and focused on getting the job done.

So I have way more experience with these nice folks than I ever wanted...
We bought a house with a frustratingly complex plumbing situation.
I'm going to tell a long story, mostly to cleanse myself of all of it, so feel free to skip past the story. The punch line is, Chosen is great and our house might be haunted.
Right after moving in, one of the toilets kept clogging. It would empty slowly... then slower... and slower... and then the shower would back up(?!)... so, yeah, not the kind of thing I was prepared to deal with.
We had one of those sketchy home warranty plans and they sent Chosen to try to fix our problem. Boy, that tech had no idea what was in store for him...
After crawling around a tiny crawlspace for a half hour he finally figured out a way to get into the pipe that the toilet and shower shared. He cleaned out the clog and everything was fine again. (Unfortunately, the sketchy home insurance would only cover the diagnostic but Chosen worked out an acceptable price with me for the repair.)
Then a few weeks later, the clog was back. Back into the crawlspace, into the pipes, and this time he finds a piece of plastic deep inside the pipes that the previous resident left behind. Clog is clear.
Then a few weeks later, it happened again! Right as I'm about to call, a noise like a small explosion comes out of the plumbing and suddenly everything flushes through.
So I decided to have them back one more time to figure out whatever just happened. Two new techs this time but they had notes from the previous visits. Love that; much easier than having to explain everything again. They get into the crawlspace and spend almost an hour inspecting everything, including the electronics on a pump and the angles of the pipes. Everything checks out fine.
The best we can figure out is that the previous resident flushed several large pieces of plastic that got wedged about 15 feet down the pipe and finally got loosened after a few months of clearing out clogs.
That was probably a year ago at this point and it hasn't come back.
Then we had a second, unrelated problem. There is a downspout on the back of the house that was clogged solid, so the gutter was overflowing, leaking into the house. Not good.
Of course it was not a simple repair because the pipe had two bends in it for no obvious reason. The tech tried to snake it clear but it just wouldn't budge. So he ended up cutting open the pipe, clearing the clog of rotten tree leaves, then repairing the pipe.
Gutter drains just fine now.
So, yeah, these guys have been here a lot. But they've been able to solve some really tricky problems and have been dependable and reliable throughout.
Ron was great, he arrived on time and fixed our garbage disposal quickly. He gave us some tips for next time to help self diagnose the problem too. Will definitely reach out next time we need help.

We were connected with Chosen Rooter and Plumbing through Fidelity Home Warranty. Robert was knowledgeable, upfront and helpful in assessing our plumbing issue.
I would highly recommend Chosen Rooter & Plumber - this co. was very professional & responded when I contacted it through our home warranty coverage. Our situation was deemed an emergency claim due to the garbage disposal unit under our kitchen sink one day suddenly springing a leak which left us unable to use our kitchen sink until the disposal was fixed or replaced. Thankfully, during the one appt. scheduled, it was quickly assessed the disposal unit needed to be replaced and a new disposal unit was quickly installed. Jeremy was the plumber who did the work and he was great - clear, knowledgeable & efficient. Sara was the office contact who communicated with us during the process to help see through the replacement of what was a no longer working garbage disposal unit. Very much appreciate the overall excellent services provided by this co. :) Thank you!

My tenant hired them while i was away. They charged $275 for plunging a clogged toilet for about 30 minutes. That's a rip-off. We have been working with different plumbers in a decade but haven't been charged this much for such a small and routing job. We certainly will never hire them again.

Ethical plumbers? YES! Every time we've hired them they've saved us money by telling us we didn't need something done that we thought we did. They could've just done what we asked and taken the fees but every plumber that works for this great company has scruples and advises us well. We first used them as they were connected to a home warranty we were given and have used them every time since as we were both impressed with the speedy well done work, and their ethics. That's why they'll always get our business over the long term and our referrals as well. Plus, I love the acronym :)

Unfortunately, an inexperienced technician came out to assess the leak whom wasted my time, money, and left an awful stench in my kitchen.
I asked my home warranty to send someone to figure out the leak under the sink. It was a slow leak, but it was definitely leaking. I had a bucket underneath it to catch the water. When the technician came, he was nice and there was a language barrier.
He spent over half an hour looking for the leak. I'm not sure why he couldn't find it because I can touch it with my bare hands, and it was wet. As for him, he was wearing gloves, using my paper towels to feel for the leak. He ran the water to look for the leak for a really long time.
At the end, he said something like just call us back to reschedule. I felt like he didn't know what to look for or to do, mentioning something about the p-trap and to not put the bucket under the sink so he can see where the water lands under the sink. I told him, I felt the leak coming where the trap and the connectors are. And why would I knowingly create water damage on the bottom of my cabinet? Nothing made sense.
A few weeks later, I called Chosen to reschedule someone to come, they said to talk to the home warranty company. Home warranty said Chosen will not send another person unless I pay for another fee to send them out. At that point, I knew it would be a waste of time and money if they send me anyone from Chosen.
Instead, I had a different plumbing company come out to take a look (from the home warranty company), he found the leak instantly. He filled the sink with water instead of letting it run, which, by the way, Chosen's technician ran my water for over 15 minutes and left the worst cologne stench in my kitchen for over a week. I understand that you cannot always find a leak instantly, not at your first visit, sometimes even not at your second visit. Just the lack of experience and knowledge from the technician was off-putting and waste of my time and money.
Overall, I won't be using chosen again.
I had to use these guys because of my home warranty. First they never called me so I needed to re contact home warranty. Then they finally came. The guy who came to diagnose couldn't be eager enough to leave.
My shower temperature occasionally swings between scalding and freezing. This is a known issue in the building and is a very simple part swap according to the HOA. The plumber who came never even heard about the part, even when I showed him the part the HOA provided me.
Then after about 10 minutes he practically runs out the door and says home office will write up the report. I asked him if he could tell me anything, he said no and left.
They end up telling home warranty that the shower isn't broken and now I have to deal with that, and without a shower.
On top of all this they want $175 for the HOA required insurance documents. I've never heard of it being more than $50, and at $50 that's a stretch.
I don't know how these idiots have such great reviews but I was taken for a ride and now I need to go longer without a shower because of these guys. If I'm guessing, they probably get less money if it's a home warranty repair so they didn't want to even entertain me.
UPDATE:
Another plumber (not from Chosen Rooter) came a few days later and immediately diagnosed the problem and everything is now in motion.

I had to keep the appointment so home warranty would cover it. If me telling you that I've never heard of someone charging almost $200 for insurance info is insane is very rude then idk what to tell ya buddy. Both my HOA and the next plumber who came in confirmed that that's not a normal amount in any reality.
