Had an emergency and Steve came over within 30 minutes!!!  Don't hesitate to call him for any plumbing needs.  He performed excellent work for a fair price. He also took his time to explaine in detail what was was wrong and what needed to be done.

Love them they saved us so much money all others said we needed a new water unit they fixed it! We have been using them ever since!

STAY AWAY, SERIOUSLY TERRIBLE SERVICE!! I don't take any pleasure in writing bad reviews but the service I received from Dorwin was some of the worst I've ever experienced and I'd be remiss if I didn't warn other Yelpers in advance.

I live in Los Angeles but still own and manage a property in New York. A tenant told me that her bathtub wasn't draining so I went looking for a plumber. I found Dorwin on Yelp and the reviews were great so I gave him a call. He quoted me a price of $90 to snake the drain. That's more than I usually pay but I just wanted the job done right and in a timely fashion so I agreed. I set up a day and time for him to go by the unit that worked for my tenant.

The day arrived and he was over an hour LATE. He gets there, does something (I'm still unclear on what he did but my tenant was there and she assured me he never actually snaked the drain) and goes on his way. He calls me and tells me that it's done and I let him know I'd mail him a check. He didn't know I was in Los Angeles and for some reason it was a real issue for him that I wasn't in New York (apparently we don't all live in a  global economy). He told me it would be $150, I mentioned that he said earlier it would be $90, he doesn't bother explaining the price difference but agrees that I can pay him $90, as if he was doing me a favor by charging me the price we'd both agreed on.

My tenant called me an our later and said she'd taken a shower and there was no difference at all. I called Dorwin and told him and he refused to go back until he was paid. I have no problem paying for services rendered but I don't believe in paying for work before it's done.

I tried to work with him, it's 2014 and he is a business. If he accepted credit cards or Paypal I could pay him the same day but he needed a check. He agreed to come by again, I assured him that I would pay him. This has never been an issue with any other work I've had done in the building so I was incredibly frustrated. What business has such a problem receiving a check in the mail? He agreed to come by twice more and blew my tenant off and didn't show up because he hadn't yet been paid, even though I've explained more than once that I won't pay until the job is done. It's gotten ridiculous and needless to say I've already told him not to bother, I'll find someone else. Dorwin was unprofessional, surly, late, tried to overcharge me and didn't perform the service he was supposed to. It's important to me that things be done right the first time which is why I'd never use this service again and I'd advise others to stay away as well.

I had several plumbing issues and Mike was an absolute joy to work with. He set up an appointment, showed up on time (actually early), spent almost 4 hrs and all my issues were addressed as well as educating me on what i should be aware of for future possible issues. I cant recommend Mike enough.

Adam the owner responded to me quickly and arrived at job site right on time. My job of diagnosing and cleaning two PTAC units is not a complicated one but from what I can see, he is knowledgeable in his craft and is well trained. He is also willing to share his knowledge which is a huge plus. I found him honest and motivated to do a good job for his customer. All the while, he is careful to keep my apartment clean, which is also important.

We had some recruiting spouts of water in our basement so I Yelp messaged one morning and had a response within minutes. They have weekend hours so that provided extra convenience. We had a time scheduled for 8:30 Saturday morning and the van arrived before 8:15. The issue was found and resolved within minutes and he was out in less than 20 minutes. The price was as advertised. I would definitely recommend this company for a quick and efficient resolution.

Welcome my fellow Yelp readers.  Congratulations to me, this is my first Yelp review (as if that really matters!).  Anyhow...on with it.
I live with my very special girlfriend, and neither of us really have any grasp on being a responsible homeowner (as per evidence of my own home debacle that ended in some sort of foreclosed disaster).  Well, to make this long story short...we had a ton of plumbing issues centering around our clogged kitchen sink (to go along with roofing and electrical issues...but...let that be my second and third review).  I was feeling like a seasick sailor listening to Lulu nag for the eighteenth straight week...so, I did what any clueless and hapless (desperate fits too) boyfriend would do...I pulled up Yelp and scanned reviews for plumbers.  Only one really jumped out to me.  So, I did what all desperate, hapless and clueless boyfriends do...I started negotiating (she would say begging) over the idea of calling up the plumber that I found.  Her countered argument centered around competitive cost.  Sure, she brings a valid component to this equation...but I wanted top end results...sooner, rather than later.  Earlier in the day, she feebly attempted to initiate a cheap and convenient solution...to our problem (yes, her problems are my problems).
Any one way tickets to Siberia here?  Please?
So, in her glorious brilliance, she went to Home Depot.  Yup, that's her solution...a corporation!
Where did that get her (us)?  It got us a slew of harassing phone calls from some corporate office in Colorado in regards to a complete bathroom renovation.
Have I mentioned how it's just a clogged kitchen sink that spawned this entire expedition?  With a couple of minor peripheral issues.
No, no and no thank you Home Depot.
So, she gives into my suggestion...and we call JCA.
Justin answers.  He's straight forward and no nonsense with his responses on the phone.  Lulu has plenty of things to ask/say as she usually does.
Well, I don't know...I want more time with more people to interview (interrogate is more like it).
One thing leads to another, and she sets up an appointment with Justin...which turns out into two appointments for Justin.  The second appointment being Lulu's sister.
I am at work on Saturday, so I am a bit out of the loop during all this...I come to find out that Justin arrives promptly (as he predicted) and is ushered off to the sister's home.  He does his thing there...and by the end...the sister absolutely loves having Justin there for her plumbing issues.  He fixes exactly what she wants.
A bit of background info:
This family complains and second guesses everything that involves money.  As they should since it's theirs.  They are experts at finding faults and arguing/haggling costs.
Now, I get off of work and wrap up my Saturday chores.  I call...and hear that everything is copacetic at the sister's and Justin is over doing his thing at our home.  Great.  I pick up some pizza and head home.
I get home to find a frantic Lulu.  Why you ask?  She's panicking over the cost.  Neither of us have too much money at our disposal (and unfortunately she likes to blame me for that).  I assure her that the job is getting done by a competent individual with the wherewithal to finish the entire job with the utmost care and respect.
What happened next?
Exactly that.  Justin has done great, and I am happy that we found him.  Now, what I need to do I find a little positivity and luck...because Lulu is obnoxiously angry at me inspite of getting the job done with Justin.
But, hey...it all works fine.
Now, I need to win the lotto just to get a smile and some kind words from Lulu.

I had a problem with my boiler towards the end of last winter. It was freezing outside and we were cold. The boiler wouldn't start. I cleaned it, vacuumed the combustion chamber, did a couple blowdowns. The water was crystal clear. It would run for a little while and then shut down again, in the middle of the night for example. When we woke up the house was as cold as an Ice Age cave. I called this plumber, he came with his son and they replaced a couple of gadgets without looking at it too much. Just like that the problem went away. Did not ask me for appointment fee, the price was very reasonable. He told me that part of my heating system was done by someone who was not a professional. I have both steam and hot water heat for different parts of the house, the hot water heat part having been added much later and the job was not quite done the right way. The plumber recommended a solution and did the job quickly and for a reasonable price. He explained what had to be done and I could tell he knew what he was talking about, even though I'm not a plumber. Everything is looking good so far and I'm ready for the next winter.

I have had Burns do many jobs since my first review and they have been Great! 5 stars is what they deserve!

John Bretone and his crew are the best. They respond to calls timely and do excellent work.

We called Adam and he responded promptly despite the New Year's Eve holiday. We thought we had a problem with the water tank but it ended up being a problem with the sewer/ drainage. He assessed the problem and didn't try to sell us services we did not need. He was polite and professional.

I called Zatos plumbing for the local law 152 gas inspection. They were quick to respond they did it on the same day and had it filed the following day. Highly recommend them.

Skilled professional with great communication and responsiveness. Actually did more work than necessary, replacing old parts to make sure the job was done right without any extra charge. You can see he cares a lot and takes pride in his work! EXCELLENT!!!!!!

They wouldn't give me a quote on the phone after my sink pipe exploded. They only gave it after they finished and they charged me almost a thousand dollars for 2 hours of work. I was happy with the 1st time I called them but now they are really expensive and the guy took forever to finish the job. Next time I'll call a local plumber.

Stay away from this company-very shady... over billing and just incompetent.  My payments were posted to someone else's account and was pressured to pay by credit card which I never do so i  paid twice for payments they already had received. Took 2 weeks for them to find their mistake.
