My husband and I own a property in Astoria NY. We found JCA online when we had a plumbing issues, and reached out as we saw positive review. Thank goodness we called. Justin has been a huge help for us with our home in the last 2 years and we wouldn't go to anyone else. His prices are reasonable, he is professional, they solely identify the issue at hand and resolve it in a timeline and efficient manner while keeping us calm. On a separate note, because my husband and I are both Realtors, we've been referring Justin and his team to our Clientele and they only have the best feedback as we expected!

We would highly recommend Justin to our family, friends, coworkers, Clientele, Neighbors, and everyone we know.

Justin has come to my house a couple times. Yes, he was on time but his prices are absolutely outrageous. He quoted me $500 to snake a drain pipe and replace 1 section of brass tube under my kitchen sink which had developed a small hole. $500 for 2 tasks that any plumber worth their salt could knock out in under an hour and $5 in parts.

He then *blew* my phone up, refusing to leave my tenants house and calling me 5 - yes 5 - times over a 10 minute period to collect his $125 call out fee... Meanwhile they obviously were texting me, asking how to handle the issue of having some guy in the house who wouldn't leave.

There are real plumbers out there who charge enough to run an honest and profitable business without scamming folks - this joker is not one of them. Call someone else.

Had a leaky pipe in the basement. Found JCA, especially because they're 24/7. Justin was very friendly, accommodating. and knowledgeable.  After he identified the issue, he was able to return the next day and work was done quickly.  Will keep him in mind for future.

My boiler wasn't working well and my hot water was turning cold within minutes. Justin answered my Yelp message within less than 15 minutes and we got on the phone together right away.

He showed up early the next morning for the assessment and started working on it. The boiler had old pieces that needed replacement so he stepped out to purchase the ones specific to mine and had other common ones at the ready in his truck.

He and a teammate worked efficiently and diligently -- and even snake drained my tub while they were at it -- and got the job done in one straight sitting.

The job ended up costing much more than expected due to many expensive pieces needing replacement (the boiler was first installed 14 years ago) but it all got done in one day, got my boiler set up and the problem was more than resolved.

Justin all throughout walked me through the problem step by step, he's a sincere and good communicator, as well as professional. The job was clean and well done.

He is not licensed. His name doesn't show up on his DOB website.  Illegal plumbing practices! The DOB is not responsible for unlicensed plumbers! Buyer beware

I cannot recommend Justin and JCA Mechanical enough. He was so knowledgable and calm in the face of my late-night plumming emergency panic. He was efficient and got the job done in no time. We asked him to (what seemed like the impossible to me) fix a 35 year old toilet and he handled it like it was nothing. He was also safe, respectful, and reliable in the times of COVID here in NYC. I recommend his services to all my loved ones and will be directly calling only him from now on for any plumbing fixes.

I turned to him in desperation after another company had promised to fix a problem same day, then still couldn't show on day 3.
Justin answered the initial request within a couple of hours. Was very straightforward about the options to fix the problem. Then showed up when he said he would!
He was polite, well mannered and very careful with his work. He took meticulous care of all the details.
I honestly don't know how to say enough about him. Most awesome contractor of any variety that I have ever worked with. If you ever need plumbing work done, this is the man! I took his card for myself, family and friends(and you don't share with those guys unless you are absolutely sure)!

I had a leaky pipe that was buried in my basement. I reached out to a few plumbers, and JCA stuck out among the rest. They were quick with their responses and were able to get on site immediately to prove an estimate.

Once they started the work, they were prompt, professional, and diligent. They fixed the pipe very quickly and for a great price. I would highly recommend JCA for any of your plumbing needs.

They were able to replace a major plumbing item (main drain Joint in the basement) at a reasonable cost in a quick time frame.  I called on Sunday afternoon and he was able to visit  Monday morning on time, and got the job done. He was upfront about the initial charge to break open a wall area and had the right parts and tools to cut and replace a section of pipe.

I am extremely disappointed in the service I received from Justin/JCA. I sent Justin photographs of the problem, and he said that he would be able to fix the issue with my toilet.

When he showed up, however, it was another matter entirely. Justin was unable to fix the issue, and I was still charged $125 for the service call. I felt strong-armed into paying, and this is no way to do business. I paid $125 and received absolutely nothing in return.

If I could give JCA Mechanical 10 stars, I would. I am so glad I came across JCA. Justin was amazing and I will definitly be using him again in the future.

I found JCA Mechanical when I was searching for a plumber for a pretty urgent issue. The branch line that runs from the top floor of our house all the way down to the main sewage line had cracked and we were not able to use any of the sinks or showers until it was repaired. I called JCA and spoke with Justin, who immediately answered and offered to come check out the problem and give a free estimate. He came exactly when he said he was, gave us a price that was extremely fair, completed the work very quickly and was in communication with me throughout the day while I was at work, even providing pictures of what needed to be done and giving me different options to help keep costs under control, which is always awesome!

On top of the quick and amazing work that he did, It is easy to tell that Justin is just a really good person who is super friendly and all about ensuring that his customers are taken care of. As a small business owner myself, I really appreciated how honest and straightforward he was from the start.

Believe it or not, I texted Justin last night at 10 pm to say our house was freezing, and to ask if he knew a guy who could fix our heater  -- and he texted back immediately and said he'd be at my house in an hour! Incredible!! I thought all he did was plumbing. Anyway, within a few minutes, he had figured out some pilot light gizmo in the heater had worn out. He went out to his truck, came back with a new part, installed it, and voila! Heat! And while he was here, my mom mentioned her bathroom was always cold, so he bled out her radiator. Our savior!

Justin has come to the rescue at least a dozen times since I found him about 3 years ago, thanks to fellow Yelpers. I called him the first time after a couple of other plumbers couldn't fix some slow leak from our upstairs neighbor's bathroom that was staining our ceiling. Justin is smart and intuitive, a natural troubleshooter, and quickly found the mystery leak inside the wall some 6 feet from the ceiling (instead of from the neighbor's tub immediately overhead, which the other plumbers had blamed as the culprit)!

Since then, Justin has swapped out our kitchen faucet, repaired toilets and leaking pipes, unclogged a tub, installed gas and ice maker lines, drained & cleaned out our backed-up sewer, replaced or repaired something called a stack .... You name it: If it has to do with plumbing, gas lines, sewer lines, hot water boilers, and now I found out, furnace heaters, Justin can fix it!

What I really love about him is not only his competence and professionalism. I really appreciate that he texts or calls back within minutes, and has never made me wait even 24 hours before he makes a service call. He shows up promptly. He cleans up after himself. He's polite and friendly. He's young, full of energy. And he's been kind and generous with my elderly parents. He volunteered to go to Home Depot to pick up the replacement kitchen faucet since they don't drive, and he texted back images so my mom could pick out the pretty one. And after he cleaned out our sewer line, he hauled back everything that had been taken out of the garage so he could access it, so my dad wouldn't have to lift the boxes and storage again.

On the job, Justin is focused and works hard, crawling in all sorts of tight (and disgusting) spaces. And he's efficient and fast -- so fast, you do kinda wonder about his prices -- as a few here on Yelp have complained. My feeling is: If he took 3x longer and got the same work done, you'd think you got a bargain. He doesn't milk it or put on a big show. With Justin, accept that you're paying for the quality work done right, not the wasted time.

And Justin is the rare LICENSED plumber out there who makes small house calls! And he speaks English.  

I did the gut renovation of my LA condo a few years ago before moving back to NYC, and I've had more than my share of incompetent, rip-off contractors in every trade. To me, Justin exudes honesty. He's a genuinely good guy, and I feel very lucky to have found him. Thank you so much, fellow Yelpers!

Justin is a handsome, polite and attentive chap who is self taught at your expense.  A plumber illustionist - let me elaborate - shows up clean cut wearing a clean black hooded sweatshirt with the JCA logo and with zero tools.

Our appointment was for the evening and he wanted to postpone it at the last moment for a later time, possibly imposing in his personal life - date?  

The purpose of my call was to basically inspect if plumbing was correctly done under kitchen sink.  Justin's exact words were beautiful nice job.  I basically paid $150 for him to pose under my kitchen sink with no photos to prove of his stardom appearance.

Following day had a real plumber with license and experience come out and told me that the pipes and connectors used were for bathroom sink - thus explains the odd odor that was coming out of my kitchen sink.  

Save your money, these pseudo plumbers/ con men are the ones who give the trade a bad name.

Justin and his partner did a great job and were very friendly. Not only was the job great they were very knowledgeable in their field. They came to fix a water tank leak which had to be replaced,They also fixed a gas pipe that was leaking gas. We also had them replace a sink trap and all the pipes under the sink that were rusted and outdated. Justin is an awesome boss and his team are alll great. They were very reliable and friendly which I believe is very important in this line of work.

I read all the 5 star reviews and called JCA to service my hot water heating system.

First the good:
Justin is extremely fast in getting back to you. Whether by text, or phone call, his communication is solid. He is a polite, friendly, and patient person while soliciting your business.

Now the bad:
1)I asked him specifically to address a problem of inconsistent heat being produced in baseboard heaters. The thermostats seemed to have no effect on the temperature. Leaving three zone thermostats on 90 produced temperatures of 70 on a 50 degree day. On the 30 degrees day, 90 on the thermostat can't reach past the low 60s. He stated it was due to a flue damper being broken. After all the work was done, the residents of the house notice no difference from before and after his work was performed.

2)He is not licensed as stated on the nyc.gov list of unlicensed contractors for which he received fines. This is not to say he does not have plumbing skills or can't do good work. Then why does it matter?

3)It matters because he charges exorbitant rates. I immediately questioned the high quoted price. When asked for more information about the parts he needed he would not give any information of model number/type. Just some talk about how parts are expensive, and it would fix the problem. But all prospective customers should know Justin's prices were easily more than double what a licensed plumber would have charged me. He was on the property for less than 1 1/2 hours and charged $925. This is sans tax since I agreed to use Venmo otherwise, over $1,000.

4)It is on me for accepting his price. But the fact that this expensive work didn't even fix the problems he was hired for is outrageous. I specifically asked him if this work would solve the problems before he started, and he said yes. He was responsive to a call afterward with a request for a follow-up visit. But when he realized I wouldn't be paying more because I already paid him $925 to fix a problem that is not at all fixed, he gave a response akin to Too bad. Must be insulation problems. I logically asked him, if you said the flue damper had problems, and you fixed it, why is there no difference in heat temperatures from before and after you did any work? He had no answer and just said the work needed to be done. Only after did I learn that broken flue dampers, lead to boilers not starting at all. If the home was getting heat before, the flue damper was likely working.

5)He charged for work he didn't even do. Part of the $925 fee was for a heating system tuneup. There are 8 baseboard heaters in the home, he looked at one. The system was never bled even though he stated he did this. To bleed a system water would have been released from the boiler. There was no bucket, hose, or water ever brought in/out, or borrowed. So how was the water collected and where did the water go if the system was bled?

This review is to give all prospective customers a clear warning. His yelp reviews paint him as a fair plumber who does excellent work. Having read them beforehand I was lured into accepting his price without taking second opinions. Pay attention to the one-star reviews. At best Justin will solve your problem for a far higher price than competitors. But at worst, he will completely scam you with unnecessary work.

I would highly recommend people look elsewhere for a more fairly priced plumber who is licensed. I would also question if the work he suggests is really necessary.

It's important to me for a company to stand behind their advertisements.

Our boiler broke down in January of this year...it happened to be the coldest night of the year at that point...something like 20 degrees but felt like 10 at night...

Our regular plumber was out of town so we called EVERY plumbing service in NYC that stated they offer 24.7 service and literally NOT ONE other than this one actually did!!

Dont believe me...TRY IT...just 4 shitts n giggles call all the ones on yelp...then when those dont render desired results just google them all at 1am n see if...they pick up, their number is even connected or if they do pick up if theyll hit u with the bait n switch line ok we can be out there by 10am...really?!?!

Umm when it's 2am, 20 degrees inside your home, you have a 3 month old daughter and a 20 month old daughter you dont have time to waste on false advertising companies!!!!!!!!!!

Called JCA left a msg n got a call back within 15mins...first Justin tried 2 save us time n money by troubleshooting over the phone...we realized after it was all said n done he knew what he was talkin bout when he said it couldnt be repaired n we needed a new one but we wanted him to come out and try anyway...

He said he'd charge $125 for the after hours consultation and we said we'd gladly pay that...

He was at our place within a half hour...which by this time it was 2am...after taking a look n trying to physically see if it could be fixed he said it couldnt...we paid him through Venmo n he said he'd get us some quotes later that morning...

Long story long...after gettin a few quotes we went with Home Depot cause we already have a line of credit with them and since they get boilers wholesale they offered the cheapest price...

BUT the main point is at least these guys were the ONLY ones in NY who stood behind their 24.7 service advertisements...not even Roto Rooter would come out...also hit us with the 10a bait n switch.

So when youre in a bind definitely have these guys in your address book!!

I had a leak in the kitchen sink which wasn't horrible until today. Today is Labor Day. Even though they advertise 24/7/365, I was skeptical that they would not be available. Justin was the guy who picked up my call and asked me to text him a picture of the leak. He gave me the price and told me he could be here in 5 minutes. I agreed to the cost and told me he was on his way. This was at 1:06pm.

As of this writing, he cut the pipe, replaced the leaking parts, tested and verified there was no more leaking. It is 1:50pm and he just left. I will use these guys again. Thanks!!

My wife and I have a newborn. Our toilet was clogged late at night and didn't want to let it stew until the next day. Rather than panic, I opened up Yelp and found all the wonderful reviews about Justin and JCA. I called and guess what? He came to the rescue ~20 minutes, unclogging our toilet giving us peace of mind and not having us worry.

The reviews are true my friends - Justin and JCA are the real deal. They'll save you when you're in a pinch.

The giant hot water storage tank in one of my buildings was rusted and leaking and needed replacement. After calling many companies, I settled on JCA due to their reputable reviews, ease of communication, and competitive quote.

On the day of repair, Justin and his associate arrived timely and provided me updates throughout the process. After a grueling 4 hours in a hot, dimly lit basement, they completed the work. Justin took the time to explain to me what they did, and did a thorough check in the building to make sure everything was working. He guaranteed the work in case any problems arose, and emphasized his 24/7availability. That was two days ago and everything has been running smoothly since.

As a multi-family property owner and manager, it really is a relief when you find somebody reliable and trustworthy to service your building.

Justin is great.  He knows what he is doing and tells you right away what the issue is.  He is quick to answer any message I send him. He has been my go for about 2 years.

We've had plumbing problems for the last few months with 2 of our toilets.
One was running after flushed and the other was leaking. A plumber tended to the problems a month ago but it seems the problems only got worse. The latter toilet was spraying water and the problem with the first toilet persisted. We contacted this plumber and they were prompt with responses as well as appointment choices for our convenience. Justin came by the evening of the same day to help us.

He was very polite and helpful! Our toilets are fine now. Hopefully, we won't see a plumber again- not because of anything ill-natured, but because the problems are fixed!

Add another 5-star review for Justin from a very satisfied customer! Prior to finding Justin, I had difficulty even getting a plumber to answer the phone and the reputable company I finally did get was unable to fix any of the long-term plumbing issues in our apartment building. Like others here, I called Justin based on his excellent reviews and I can honestly say he certainly lives up to all the good things people have said about him. Besides being a very knowledgeable, skilled plumber, he is pleasant, friendly and an all around nice guy.

Justin answered his phone promptly and came over to assess our plumbing issues within a half hour. One of the major problems we were having was a leak in a large cast iron drain pipe in our basement. Despite it being late on a Friday afternoon, Justin offered to do the work right then and there. He made a quick trip to pick up materials and was back with his partner, Alex, to do the work. These guys are not afraid of a little hard work! They ended up having to break through a wall to replace the pipe but did it relatively quickly and efficiently. The work and materials were high quality and they made sure to clean up any mess left behind.

After completing this big job, Justin then came upstairs and installed a brand new faucet in one of our apartments. Even though it was late on a Friday night, he stayed until the work was completed satisfactorily.

Justin would have stayed and addressed all of our plumbing issues right then and there but he needed special parts to fix two other problems we were having with some very old, outdated hardware. Justin was able to secure the needed parts and returned promptly to make the repairs. Other plumbers would just shake their heads and tell us the hardware was too old and needed to be completely replaced or special ordered from another state. I am happy to report that within two days, Justin had ALL the long term plumbing problems in our building repaired and working fine! He will be the go-to plumber for our building from now on. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others.

I must agree with the other reviews, I rarely give 5-stars, but Justin really is the best!

He is efficient, upfront and communicates well to let you know what is going on.

I called him for a minor kitchen sink problem, he quoted me a reasonable price ($150) up-front, and we set a time for him to come.

Before coming he called to let me know he was on his way, showed up right on time, got right to work, did a GREAT job and even tightened/cleaned up a few things he didn't have to to help prevent another problem.

That kind of honesty and pride in work is rare, but extremely appreciated, I hope he stays in business a long time.

My building will certainly use him moving forward from here.

We were having issues with the pilot light going off on our hot water tank for a few weeks. I had to relight the tank almost daily which was a bit of a nuisance.

I contacted Justin based on fellow Yelp reviewers and found him to be pleasant, knowledgeable and on time (which is huge).

Over the phone I explained our situation and the tank was under warranty.  He advised me to order the parts needed from the manufacturer, which were covered under the warranty. He came the next day and began taking care of business.

Definitely a business contact all Yelpers should have in their phone. You never know when you will need a plumber in Queens, especially one who is honest and hardworking. Kudos to Justin and JCA Plumbing!

Justin was very polite and did a great job at a fair price. He fixed  several issues with my toilet. I would hire him again.

I had an emergency plumbing issue with my bathroom sink.  Not only were the faucet valves leaking down into the cabinet, but the shutoff valves under the sink had deteriorated!  It all needed to be replaced.  After taking a little while to try fixing it myself, I realized that I needed a professional plumber to do the work.  

I spoke with Justin and he was able to come the same day, which was amazing.  After he surveyed the situation, we took a trip to purchase the hardware, and once back here, he replaced the faucets and the shutoff valves.  He is a courteous and pleasant guy, but more importantly, he knows what he's doing!  It didn't take him long to get the work done, and considering it was taken care of in the same day, totally worth the cost.  

I highly recommend Justin.  If I should ever need help with plumbing again, JCA is at the top of my list!

I referred Justin for a hot water heater replacement in an apartment complex.   He did the job the next day at an affordable price and did a terrific job.  I'll continue to recommend JCA Mechanical and look forward to using them in the future as well.

I found JCA from a Yelp search for a 24 hour plumber because I came home to find my living room ceiling engorged with water and was leaking from a radiator that was not only put on incorrectly but had a rusted valve. Justin returned the call within 15 min and was at my house by about 1030pm on a wed night. It took him almost no time at all to figure out the problem and fix it. He was courteous, honest and informative and was reasonable with his price. The additional emergency fee was worth every cent considering the late hour. Justin even called back in the morning to check on things. The service he provides is priceless! I have already spread the word to my friends in case they ever need a plumber, they should call JCA and ask for Justin!

It would be amazing if every contractor was like JCA Mechanical! First and foremost, communication with Justin was very easy and smooth. Even though it was the weekend, Justin responded promptly and courteously to every yelp message, text and phone call. Justin was patient and well-mannered with me while I shopped around for several quotes for replacing my leaking hot water tank. He was never once pushy, and I felt he respected me as a customer and tried his best to win the contract with integrity. He answered all my questions until I felt comfortable to commit.

Secondly, let's talk quality of work. Justin came in on Sunday morning earlier than stated, which I really appreciated. I'm tired of contractors giving me a call at the appointed time telling me they're running an hour late. Justin was timely, and although he was on his own due to the extremely short notice during the weekend, he finished the job in an hour and half, as he predicted. This man is a machine and really knows what he is doing. My dad likes to oversee contractors when they work on the house, and Justin engaged with him and answered all his questions respectfully and kindly while working his butt off. He's all around a good, sincere guy. Once he finished installing the tank, he insisted that we register the product to make sure we take advantage of the product warranty that we paid extra for. He offers his own labor warranty on top of that, but by the looks of it, I'm pretty sure we won't need to call Justin back. The job was very clean and well done.

Finally, Justin was extremely reasonable when it came to pricing. I was speaking to the five top-rated businesses in the area that install water heaters, and Justin - more than anyone else -actively communicated with me to understand my expectations and was willing to work with me on pricing. When all was said and done, he offered the best deal without any doubt. This is a guy who's genuinely not trying to rip you off, which is so refreshing. I recommend you take the time to chat with him before you commit, and, like me, you'll quickly feel that Justin is honest and reliable. I felt comfortable and reassured throughout the entire ordeal, and will definitely invite JCA back next time I have any sort of plumbing issues.

Woke and my pilot was out on my boiler of course it was freezing outside. The thermocouple was done. Justin and his crew where the first to answer my call. They where able to arrive with in an hour. Having 2 children home from school I can't tell you how great that was. They diagnosed the problem which was a bit more than just the piece mentioned before. Half hour after they arrived the boiler was back up and running. Now everyone's experience will always be different based on their individual situation so I won't go on to tell you his price was fair and work was clean and neat. No I feel it is even more important to explain his honesty and professionalism because it is rare you meet a tradesman who has knowledge and professionalism along with fair pricing. Justin and his crew are the real deal and I would recommend to anyone in a jam that wants fair work for fair price... and he didn't hit me for emergency call out! Parts and labor that's fair. Hope this helps as prior reviews helped me.

My toilet stopped working Saturday morning and I reached out to 3 plumbing companies. JCA and another company got back to me right away (still haven't heard from third company a day later), but the other company had a $475 fee to come out on the weekend NOT including any work done. Not having a working toilet for two days is not ideal so I made an appt with JCA for Sunday morning. 30 minutes and at a price reasonable versus other plumbers in New York later, my toilet is functioning again.

Called over the weekend for toilet issue, Justin was very responsive and showed up on time.
He explained the issue and resolved it. Justin showed care in his work and was professional. Very good experience.

Greatly Disappointed by this company.  I spoke to Nick who made a 9am appointment on a  Saturday morning to come and give me a free estimate and waited until 11am to call the office to find out if he was going to come or not.  Only to be told that he would be coming and would call me when he was on his way but still didn't hear an answer from him for another hour.  I called the office a second time and spoke with a women who told me she would page him to find out his where abouts and would call me back.  They never called me back nor had the courtesy to tell me any feedback.

Poor customer service and wouldn't waste my time hiring them for any future job!

They installed my toilet.  Knowledgeable, professional courteous service.  Arrived on time, knew what they were doing.  Excellent experience!

Justin was super responsive, installed my bathroom sink faucet perfectly, courteously, and for a good price. Highly recommend!

Had a pretty urgent issue late on Saturday (cleaning service broke the valve to my shower and I wasn't able to turn the shower off). After calling countless plumbing services to say they wouldn't be able to help until Monday - Justin came through in the clutch. Not only did he respond quickly, but he was here within a half hour to fix the issue and even went to home depot to pick up the part that was needed so he wouldn't have to come another day.

Unbelievably awesome. I thought there could be a chance that these reviews were fake because they were all 5 stars but nope- they're real and Justin is really that good!

I called him at 11:45 because my Airbnb lady was stuffing her sanitary (that's kind of a misnomer, isn't it?) items down the toilet and at 12:30 he was over here with only a 6 ft snake. He unclogged the toilet in about 10-15 mins, gave me some advice, and was out the door. It was $125 cash, or $150 check. On top of being able to come over here on no notice and get the job done without any extra cost, he was easy to talk to and very personable.

Beware of Justin of JCA.  My experience was definitely far below expectations.  Based on the YELP reviews I gave this guy the benefit of the doubt and unfortunately regret my decision.  I guess it's true what they say, desperate times call for desperate measures.  I needed some work done ASAP and as a result this guy took me for a ride.  Not only was I OVERCHARGED by a great deal but he was unable to provide me with any of the information he stated that I would receive.  He appears to be a nice guy at first glance but he is very unprofessional and is not a man of his word.  I urge anyone reading this to look elsewhere for your plumbing needs.

Highly recommend for plumbing work.   No funny business with these guys.  The plumber resolved a problem in my whole house very quickly, and for a fare price.   It took about 2 hours.    

Others had come and quoted much more complicated and twice as costly repairs to solve this issue.  

Definitely give them a call first.

Fast, responsive communication. Plumber showed up as scheduled, spent the time to diagnose the problem and helped pick out and pick up the correct faucet fixture to repair. Was clean and professional.

Got the job done, but overpriced.

I had a clogged toilet on a Sunday afternoon.   After I tried plunging for over half an hour,  I thought it was something serious and decided to call a real plumber.

I would usually call one of those $49.99 services, but their reviews keep getting worse and scarier every month.

Justin from JCA came to my place.  In less than 10 seconds he unclogged the toilet and then demanded $200.

I thought it was excessive,  but he wouldn't budge or negotiate.  He clearly wasn't interested in getting repeat business from me.

If you have a clogged toilet or drain in Queens, then I would first try the $49.99 guys (they might be rude, but at least their price is reasonable ).

Otherwise,  I think JCA is okay if you're really desperate and need immediate service and nobody more affordable is available.

Great experience with this plumber. Responded quickly, gave free estimate, unclogged our drain  and fixed water pressure, all done for a  reasonable price. Job was done with effeciency, cleanliness, and courtesy. It's awesome to know we have a plumber we can call whenever we need and job will get done right.

Justin was very responsive to my call. He called me back within 20 minutes, and was at my apartment later that evening. He took care of my badly clogged shower drain for half the price of roto rooter.

Had heating issues with my building. Called him up, showed him pictures of boiler and radiators and the said it was a valve issue. He came over and then didn't have the valves so couldn't do the job. I still had to pay $125 and the problem wasn't fixed. Still freezing. I feel ripped off.

Contacted Justin who sent one of his employees, Brendan to fix an issue I had with a couple bad old shut off valves that were leaking.  Brendan did an outstanding job.  He came quick and their prices are reasonable.  Highly recommended.

I had a leak under the sink, tried to fix it myself with no success. I didn't hold much hope to find a plumber on Sunday who would not cost me arms and legs.
I called JCA, they picked up right away and gave me an estimate based on the photos I sent them over text. Very convenient and the price was reasonable. The best thing is they could do that on the same day!
The guy (sorry, I forgot his name) sent me messages to inform me he is on his way and arrived on time.
My sink connects to a garbage disposal machine which made the fix tricky. He was very thorough and tested it with patient. It took him almost two hours to get the job done. And I am very happy with the result.

Justin is not a good person and I wouldn't recommend him to my worst enemy.  His prices are outrageous.  Now I fully acknowledge not shopping around so shame on me but no excuse for him for charging me at least 5x what is standard to replace a leaky pipe. He took advantage of a bad situation and my ignorance and made a huge job out of what didn't need to be done.  Again I accept blame for not doing my homework but the behavior was amoral.  He uses charm to con and deceive.  Also not a licensed plumber.  

Note that two licensed plumbers saw his work (they were called after he was late for an appt here and I need to fix the rest of this mess) and both said the work was adequate but that he needn't have destroyed my kitchen ceiling or bathroom radiator installation and that the charges were 'unscrupulous' at best.

And Justin when you read this - you know that every word I wrote is true.

I met Justin today over some drain pipes under the sink that decided to quit working on me.  Justin asked me to take some pictures of the problem and he came over about two hours later with all the stuff he needed.

He replaced almost everything under the sink in about an hour.

It's Thanksgiving. Yes, Thanksgiving at 9:30 and my main line clogs. Poop, pee, food scraps are backing up into my tub! A disaster. I called JCA, they gave me a price on the phone and were here in 20 minutes. Justin and his helper were awesome. They unclogged everything and I was up and running in literally 10 minutes. Money well spent. My wife and tenants think I'm the most resourceful person on the planet. Thanks guys!

I think I just found my go-to plumber. I had a leak from the kitchen faucet handle and water stopped running to the shower head. I've been pushing off getting this repaired for the longest time. I called Justin to get an estimate. His prices are very reasonable. The other plumbers I called was charging an arm and a leg. I decided to go with JCA.

Justin called one hour before our 10 AM appointment to confirm that he was on his way. When he arrived early, he called again to see if he should wait another 15 minutes until our appointment time or  come early. He came and looked at the kitchen faucet and tub spout, and confirmed the prices we agreed on. He took his time to explain to me the replacement faucet that I purchased would not work with what I have, and that he would require a few extra materials to get the job done. We walked to the hardware store to purchase an adapter. Justin didn't even charge me for the additional material, and said that it would be part of his estimate. Justin did a great job. He even cleaned up after himself when he completed the job.

I have never experienced such generosity, professionalism and patience from anyone working on my apartment. Hard to find in NYC.  I would not hesitate to recommend Justin to any of my friends or family.

I called JCA about a problem I thought I had with my toilet. Justin was super helpful and was able to come by right away. He figured out that it was not my toilet but rather a neighbors' that was causing all this noise. I definitely appreciated having him there to reassure me that it was not my problem! Even though we couldn't do anything (thankfully, for me) Justin was super nice throughout and offered to come back and help if there was ever anything he can do. Horribly disappointed by Justin's work and service, and would advise others against asking him to fix any plumbing. Just over a month ago, I had booked an appointment with Justin to fix two leaks I had beneath my small business's sink. He said that the faucet needed to be replaced, purchased the faucet himself, and charged me $570. A month later, one of the two leaks started leaking in exactly the same place, so I called him to ask him to take a look. He said that he didn't have a warantee on the faucet, and that it was because of people using the faucet (Aren't they meant to be used?).

After insisting that he return, and making an appointment for a week and a half later, he missed the appointment. I texted him a reminder, and he asked if I had a receipt for the work he had done, to which I replied Yes I do (And if I didn't, would he not return?). When he showed up 3.5 hours after my original appointment, he said that it would cost an additional $325 to fix the leak that HE had missed.

I believe he took advantage of the situation. He saw a sweet, young woman running a small business. Thanks to Justin, I will be sure to book appointments with handymen that are affiliated with larger businesses in an attempt to avoid being ripped off again.

I'm having some renovations done and called Justin based on his Yelp reviews.  He offered to be at my house within 20 minutes to give me a free quote.  He knew what he was talking about and offered to get his assistant and complete the work the same day.  From start to finish, he was professional and extremely efficient.  I'll be using him in the future!

When my toilet clogged up on a Sunday, I went down the list of plumbers and they all had some ridiculous $300++ service charge because it was a Sunday. But thank goodness, I called Justin at 11am and my toilet was fixed before 1pm for a very reasonable price.

Justin from JCA Mechanical exceeded my expectations. Extremely prompt, professional and fairly priced for the exceptional level of service he and his associate provided with my recent plumbing repairs. Highly recommended and will definitely contact in the future!!!

Justin was great and I plan on using him again in a building I manage to service its Weil McNeil natural gas boilers yearly and if there are problems. He was a good communicator, showed up on time and stayed till the work was done, which was longer than he expected. He wound up having to bleed all the radiators in a 4 story brownstone manually which was more than he expected when he gave me a quote. The reason is that we have very new and efficient boilers but the radiators themselves are quite old. One of the boilers also had to be bled for an abnormally long time. All the time he was extremely courteous and didn't let the inconvenience get to him. He even used some of the extra time while we were waiting for the boiler to bleed to rinse down the boiler room which was an absolute mess. Most importantly, even though the job probably wound up taking at least an hour or two longer than expected, he did not alter his quote. It might also be worth noting that this was a night time job, so it probably ruined his night. But he was very professional and seemed more interested in getting the job done and doing it right than anything else.

MOST IMPORTANTLY Justin is HONEST. At the end of the job we agreed for him to come back to service two radiators that were not getting hot. After we parted ways he realized he had forgot something in the apartment with the faulty radiators. When he went back in to retrieve his tool he decided to double-check the radiators to see if they had finally gotten hot. He found they had and so he informed me that he did not need to return to service them. Why is this so important? Because there was really ZERO chance I would have found out that he double checked those boilers and that they were working. I don't live in the apartment and I had walked him to his car, so I had no reason to think he had gone back into the building. He could have kept that appointment scheduled, gotten paid, and the job would have taken no time because there was nothing broken. Instead he was honest and a good thing too because I can't wait to give him more business in the future! I deal with a lot of contractors and I can tell you if they were all like Justin my life would be a lot easier. I hope Justin takes on more guys, trains them to do work and treat customers like he does, and grows his business.

I had a bad radiator leak - tried to fix it - something broke off inside of radiator- oops!  
Called Justin.  He came over that night - how's that for a small miracle?  Took one look, and got to work sawing the radiator pipe that was directly attached, off.  Then he retreaded inside the radiator and made the repair.  He really knew his stuff.  I waited to write this review until after I was sure that the radiator would not leak.  Heat comes on and NO LEAK.  Justin is now my new plumber, and he is a nice guy, too!

Sent a picture of the sink & piping condition to Justin for an estimate and he responded promptly with some options. He and his partner Brandon was able to fit me into his schedule on the same day and serviced the kitchen sink leak within 45 minutes. Very pleasant to deal with and will absolutely call JCA again for future plumbing issues!

This is my second encounter with Justin, the first time was an emergency situation. I had to shut my main water off to my house because of a broken pipe. It was Sunday and I had NO water at all, but I spoke with Justin and he came by to remedy the situation with-in an hour so I would have water until he could get the part I needed. He came back that week as promised and completed the job and I was very happy. Today I had Justin come by my home to fix a leaking problematic radiator which he did, and then I even got him to replace the spout in my shower that was also leaking. He did, and I was very happy again. Finally after 20 years of owning my house I finally found a plumber after going through MANY, in my area, I like and trust and can depend on. Honest and reasonable and a very neat worker. I no longer have to panic when I need a plumber!!

I live in NJ and read reviews on Yelp, and called Justin to fix our tenants water problem in Bellerose NY.  He did an amazing job fixing up our apartment shower, putting in a brand new one and replacing the old system.  Even sent me pictures when I asked for it so I knew what he was doing.  Completely trustworthy and it was an absolute pleasure doing work through him.  He started as soon as I paid him and worked the entire day till the end, until job was completed.  That's what I call amazing work ethic.  All these reviews are spot on about you Justin. So it's the 5° MLK holiday and a pipe in our bathroom burst, gushing water out everywhere.  Shutting off the water meant shutting off the heat, so getting a plumber ASAP was probably a pipe dream (bad pun).  Justin called back right away,  fit us in on such a busy day, fixed everything with no problems or trips to Home Depot for parts, and charged an decent, honest fee.  Very, very, very pleased.

What can I say about Justin and his team? Unreal! My basement flooded with the heavy rain yesterday and I called to see if they can come up with a temporary fix. Justin showed up shortly after and then proceeded to tell me he could get the issue fixed that very same day. Before I knew it Justin and his crew got to work digging up cement to get to the pipe that needed changing. We were pressed for time as rain was expected again in the afternoon and they got it done. Excellent service, great attitude and a very clean job. They've got a customer for life.

I recently got an old sink in my bathroom removed and replaced with a new one by JCA. Given that the last time I used JCA went so well, I called them again when I had one of my hot water heaters go out.  Justin arrived within the hour and informed me that a new one was necessary, which was expected given its age/condition.

He had a new, reasonably priced, one delivered to my house and installed it for the agreed to price of $300 labor.  This included some welding to move the pipes around to accommodate the new unit.  He also replaced the shut off valves on both the hot and cold water without being asked to do so, at no extra charge.

Will definitely use him again.

Really nice, prompt and reasonable.  Took Justin about 10 seconds to diagnose the problem with boiler system and when the replacement part he brought proved faulty, he immediately went and got another rather than making me wait for another appointment (my experience with another plumber).

This company deserves every five star rating it gets. Justin is a great plumber, and knows how to communicate effectively. He was also extremely fair with his pricing, and even lowered the final bill when he realized the job was a bit more simple (venting was not as far gone as we originally thought).

Got my bathtub drain snaked last night and it went great. Service was friendly and reasonably timely. I paid cash and might have unintentionally stiffed him a bit (not sure) but he said later that it was OK so overall I'm quite happy.

My shower had been slowly deteriorating for awhile before it decided to stop working completely last Friday. I reached out to a few plumbers on Yelp to request a quote. JCA was highly rated and didn't disappoint. Justin was the first to respond (within an hour even though it was a Saturday), and he was very easy to talk to over the phone and via text. I sent a few pictures to describe the situation, and after talking to him for a couple minutes he was able to diagnose the problem. He gave me a quote over the phone and arrived right around the time he said he would. He was in and out quickly, but did a thorough job and demonstrated that everything was working like new before he left. Very professional, friendly, and responsive. We'll use JCA again if we have plumbing needs in the future.

Greatly appreciate Justin's prompt and effective response to our frantic 9pm call when water suddenly started gushing from our toilet causing a flood in our bathroom.  He asked us to text pictures of the leak so he could find the appropriate part, was at our apt in Bed Stuy within an hour, and fixed our leak in about 15-mins.  We'll definitely use his services again!

Had to replace the diverter of my old shower as an emergency job. Justin comes in the AM and after seeing the part,suggests changing the body shower instead of looking around for the diverter. Quote from Justin my time is too valuable, his response to my plea of trying to get the diverter first. How about my time and money are too valuable?

He was only interested in changing the body shower, a $600 PLUS PARTS CASH job, no checks accepted, to be done the SAME DAY. He wouldn't be available after. I thought licensed plumbers weren't supposed to get paid OFF-THE-BOOKS! Told him to wait, that I would call him back. Five minutes after leaving, he messages me offering to do the job for $475 or try to look for the part.

While I can't comment on Justin's plumbing skills, I believe his customer service needs some work. At least he didn't charge a service fee for visit.

Thrilled I waited! Two days later--and after another fiasco with Woodhaven Plumbing--I find a plumber that is able to quickly find the a diverter and install it in a timely and affordable manner. Within 30 mins, the job is done!

Ok! These guys are awesome!!! Called them at 12:30pm on Sunday for a clogged kitchen sink and got Justin. He said he was booked for the day. I asked if he could check his availability for the next day. After sending photos from under my sink, Justin said he would try to come after 7pm the same day or after 6pm on the following day. I texted him at 4:30pm and he said he would arrive by 7pm and sent me an estimate for cash or check only.  He texted at 6:30 to say he was on his way and arrived at my place in Manhattan by 6:45pm. He was friendly and professional and was out by 7:15pm after completely cleaning up after himself! I didn't give 5 stars because I thought $408 was steep for the job, but I would totally patronize this business if I have another plumbing issue. I'm a totally satisfied customer!

I had a plumbing emergency about two months ago. (Sorry for the late review). I had called someone else that I had previously worked with, but they didn't answer that night. After a few hours I decided to call Justin. I had called Justin a month before for a job at my building, but he advised me he did not have the equipment for what i was looking for and recommended someone else to me. Due to that professionalism I was at ease in calling Justin for my job at home. He responded quick on Sunday night when I reached out, was available next Monday morning. He arrived was courteous and extremely professional. The job came out great and since that day the pipe is still working as good as new. I rank on customer service, workmanship, and professionalism, all which Justin excelled. The price was a little higher than expected, but yet again it was an emergency call and last minute Sunday call too so thats on me. I would feel very comfortable on calling Justin again for any plumbing needs.

I didn't actually get a chance to hire Justin (hence the four stars) but I feel that my interaction with him warranted a review. I had an issue with my kitchen sink leaking and I couldn't get a hold of management in the building. Called Justin up and discussed the issue, he was very responsive and easy to work with for scheduling timing. Unfortunately/fortunately, my building manager reached out to me and got it resolved through them but should any plumbing issue arose on my end, I will definitely contact him again with no hesitation.

They responded quickly for a minor repair on a busy winter day when many customers were calling with frozen pipes.  I sent them pictures of the broken piece of the inner part of my toilet.  They provided me with a price, and when I said that was more than I wanted to pay, they came back with a lower price.  They were able to come hours before they estimated and the service was professional and efficient.  I have stored their contact details and will call them again.  Justin rocks!

I was looking for a plumber to install a kitchen faucet I'd bought online. Justin was able to come the same day but after he tried installing the new faucet, discovered that it just wouldn't fit. No biggie - he drove me to the nearest Home Depot to buy a new faucet, waited patiently as I hemmed-and-hawed over several faucets, installed the one I eventually chose - and didn't charge for the extra time. Absolutely great guy - I'm keeping his number for future plumbing emergencies!

Last night found my basement pipe backing up.  Unfortunately not first time this has happened. I called Justin around 9 pm and 2 other plumbers on Yelp with good reviews. Justin first to call me back in a few minutes. Quoted me $300 to clear pipe and he could be there early next am or late that night. Sent him some pics to show exact situation. He arrived a few minutes  late next am but texted me his ETA. Quickly checked pipes found clog area and cleared clogged. He told me I should be getting sewer pipes either power washed or snaked on annual basis- which is first time I was told that. He did not press that I should do this with him though. But I figured since he was there might as well clear everything out. $250 for that but he gave me a break at $220. So I would recommend him. Seems honest and straightforward. Always appreciated.

I have called numerous plumbers to fix my hot water pressure because it was very low, but all them said they couldn't find what was wrong or they didn't know how to fix it. Then i continued to call people and I came across JCA, Justin and his crew were very sweet and intelligent, they also worked very quick!! They came a couple hours after I called which was amazing since it's been a couple of days that it hasn't worked and no other plumbing company could fix it. They fixed the problem and it works like new again! I couldn't be happier with this company! I will defiantly be using them again! By the way... the price was very affordable compared to other companies I called!!

This review is not about their plumbing expertise. It is about their prices. They replaced a kitchen faucet and snaked my kitchen sink. All told Justin was here a little over 2 hours. The bill was almost 800 dollars or 350 dollars an hour! Check with a licensed plumber(s) (he isn't) and you will see that this is almost 3x the cost! I don't doubt that the reviews are accurate but I doubt that anyone who that left a review comparison shopped before hand. Don't be lazy like me and be an educated consumer!

This company is now my go-to plumber in the city.

I accidentally damaged a bathroom sink pipe while trying to unclog it.  I called multiple plumbers and JCA asked me to text them a photo of the damage.

I sent over a couple of photos and they said they could be over within an hour, it was 9pm at night!  The rate they gave was reasonable to their competitors.

They replaced the broken part, tested the connections for a solid 10 mins to make sure there were no problems.

The best part of the experience was the communication.  Their team was very responsive and all details (cost, parts) were agreed upon before they even came over.  No last minute surprises.

Called because I had a leak by my hot water heater.  Left a message.  He called me back and confirmed that he does work in my area.  He asked that I text him photos of the leak.  Said he would call me back.  Heard nothing back.  Called again and left another message the next day.  No response.  That was a week ago.  Called another company and they came out and changed my valve and thermostat.  I'm baffled at the 5 star reviews for this company.  I found them to be unprofessional and a complete waste of my time.

Called Justin late Friday night when out shower stopped draining. He was there first thing Saturday morning to fix it. He wen offered to come back if any issues came up again and snake it for free. He also noticed we needed a new standing waste for the tub. Turns out he was right, it was not only very loose and barely working - it was leaking into bathroom below. He can back later that day to take care of it!

Made a call and the guy was able to come over to take care of the plugged toilet. Rate was good and he was a nice guy. Definitly going to contact him if it happens again!

A few days my mother and i been dealing with a clogged toilet problem and we tried home remedies to plunger to a old snake we borrowed from the landlord. Nothing seemed to work until i called up Justin for the first time (very nice guy) and he came over within 15 mins. Charged me only $75 but i tipped him more cause he done such a great job within 15mins literally. I would recommend him to anyone and I will use his service again. He also gave us suggestions on getting a new toilet cause ours is 17yrs on, that would be our next step if anything.

Called Justin from JCA Mechanical Plumbing and Heating LLC and he agreed to come over and take a look at the problem. He was fast, courteous, and efficient and came over that afternoon. The problem was a simple blocked toilet and Justin was able to solve it in under ten minutes.

If a similar problem were to occur again, I would definitely not hesitate to contact JCA to fix it.

Had an issue with my toilet and made an appointment with Justin.  On the day of, Justin kept me posted on his arrival time.  He checked out my toilet's situation and got it repaired in under 25 minutes.  Courteous, professional, no BS, and a reasonable rate, too.  Call Justin!

Justin was amazing!! I can't recommend him enough...he should be your first call!! We were slightly nervous because he answered the phone immediately, said he'd come right over (on a Saturday night!!), his prices were beyond reasonable...and we thought...this can't be for real! But he showed up exactly on time, extremely professional and knowledgable, knew what needed to be done...fixed our tub in 5 minutes. He also explained the problem, gave some very reasonable and effective advice and then guaranteed that if we had any problems for two weeks he would come back and fix it for free.

Never wrote a review before but have to say JCA plumbing saved the day after 3 plumbers said I would have to replace 60's shower knobs with new system meaning tear down wall etc JCA was able to replace old system saving me at least $1000 very grateful

I needed a plumber fast for an overflowing toilet. On the weekend. The positive reviews led me to call JCA and leave a message. Justin returned the call promptly and came right over. Now when was the last time a plumber made a rush housecall . . . on the weekend? Justin is sweet as pie, well-spoken, and personable  . . . all the way to the bank! The repairs, for which he ran out to a local hardware store a couple of times, became increasingly more expensive as the afternoon wore on. Apparently, the tank was unusually long and the longer cord would not flush the toilet on first flush. Who knew? This had never been a problem before. Finally, after the interior of the tank was completely replaced and the toilet was working in a half-assed way -- you had to hold the handle down for a couple of minutes to get the toilet to flush -- I paid in cash and Justin left. A week or so later, the toilet would not flush nohow, no matter how many minutes passed. Again a phone-call to JCA . . . and another . . . and another. Never heard back from Justin again. Don't count on this company to stand by their repairs and be very suspicious about a repair that involves extensive and costly work.

Came quick, fixed my problem at a reasonable cost (as far as I know), and even fixed the clog in my sink at no charge (took him a few minutes). Thanks Justin!

I was briefly in town to visit my grandmother and found out that her very old radiator was leaking. I had limited time and she wasn't willing to spend much money to have it repaired. I found JCA and was relieved to see that radiator repair was explicitly listed as one of the service offerings. To convince my grandmother to give it a try I had to read off review after review until she finally agreed to try JCA.  I called late in the morning and received an immediate answer, and after briefly explaining the problem heard that Justin could arrive the same day. I texted a picture of the faulty radiator so that Justin would know exactly what we had. That afternoon, shortly after I got the reply I'm on my way, Justin arrived and quickly diagnosed the issue. In probably less than 30 minutes he'd disconnected the radiator, performed needed maintenance, replaced a faulty part, and left a fully repaired radiator! All the while he was friendly, courteous, and answered all of our questions.  The final cost was reasonable, we've had no further problems, and needless to say my grandmother and I are keeping JCA's number handy.

I must share I had an amazing experience with Justin from jca last weekend it was a Sunday and my heat was not working so I thaught it was my hot water heater but Justin came within the hour! and was soo honest with me he  changed 1 simple part and my heat worked fine the job ended up being a quarter the price I expected and it's not every day you get a business that's so honest, fair, and quick to respond like that  ..thank you jca!!!

Called this company because of the many positive reviews on yelp but am very disappointment with the service. When I spoke with Justin over the phone he seamed very pleasant, I informed him the pilot light from the boiler would not stay on and he quoted me a price. Because I couldn't be at home at the time of service I made him aware I would leave everything ready. When I got home, I was informed the person that had come was very condescending and before coming into my home he reiterated if I had left the money. For someone who is very demanding I would assume he would carry his own tools, right? But that wasn't the case. He not only borrowed my flashlight but also left with it. It is almost a month later and I am still experiencing the same problem. I reached out to Justin and now he states it's another problem. I called in two real companies to come and see my boiler and both coincided that it was a more serious matter, something that wasn't even brought to my attention by Justin. Would not recommend at all.

I have been looking for a company to do annual  service on my boiler for a few months. Justin was able to make to my home the same day I called. Quick and friendly service. Will definitely do business with this company again.

Could not have had a better experience with this company. I had been putting off calling the plumber because, you know, it always feels like a big project. But Jason showed up same day and was in and out in probably 20-30 minutes. Very courteous, totally painless, and very friendly. Now, I'm not looking to have any plumbing emergencies in the future. But if I do? I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

When I had an issue with the heating system in my home, I knew I'd need to call someone in, but past experiences left me wondering just how much of nightmare I would be dealing with.

JCA was one of the easiest service calls I have ever made. I explained my issue and they were even kind enough to look at some photos to make sure they'd have what they needed and knew what they'd need to do. First thing in the morning  they show up, polite, courteous and professional. A quick look around the issue was all it took to determine the best course of action. I was walked through it every step of the way. Everything was resolved in reasonable time.

Now, I have dealt with other plumbing and heating services before and heard some crazy prices. Others would do work and leave a mess. JCA was incredibly neat, cleaning up the work area after finishing the job. The prices are very reasonable. I know a lot of people see the bill from a plumber and freak out. This was no $50 fix but it was much lower than what I have been charged in the past. I was also shown a few potential future problems for another day and given a few tips on dealing with my home heating system to keep it running smoothly. Needless to say, they will getting business from me again in future.

They don't talk over your head, their prices are fair, their work is honest and they are very nice. JCA is definitely worth trying for your next plumbing and heating issue!

JCA/Justin fixed a big leak problem in our house (Rego Park) today, did a terrific job, even did some extra stuff (which was greatly appreciated), very personable and professional. 4 instead of 5 stars for the price, which was a bit higher than I had estimated, but in my experience that is an inescapable fact of life when fixing a leaky house in NYC. Highly recommended, I'd call him again, absolutely.

Justin is great.  Always shows up when he says he will and gets everything done in a timely fashion and on budget.

During the last snow storm I went to take a shower and my water was cold. I checked the hot water heater and it was leaking.   I called JCA plumbing which was recommended to me by a friend.   Justin saw how upset I was and told me not to worry he showed up within the next hour , fixed the problem, and was reasonably priced . Hi I have to echo the high marks for justin. He came exactly when he said he would. I thought everything was priced fairly. I ended up having a larger issue (broken pipes) that he fixed in the spot. After 13 years in New York I think I've finally found my go to plumber!

I looked through Yelp for a good plumber in the neighborhood, and when I saw all these 5 star reviews, I had my doubts, especially when some reviews are from people who only wrote 1 review or are relatively new.  But I went with my gut and took a chance, and it turned out to be better than expected.

First, Justin answers the phone and is responsive.  He is flexible with his schedule, and shows up on time.  He is very knowledgeable about plumbing and quickly diagnosed the problem.  I live in a pre-war co-op, so the plumbing is antiquated and in disrepair.  He provided an estimate before work began, which was very reasonably priced compared with other places (I've had building management bring their outside plumbers to inspect a kitchen leak and it was overpriced).  He worked efficiently and did a lot of work that I had procrastinated on fixing.  If I knew it was this easy, I would have called him sooner.  I've had my super fix the plumbing problems over the years, but the problem always comes back after a few weeks. Gotta leave these things to the pro's--saves money, time and stress in the long run.  Overall, I am very happy to have called the right professional, thanks to Yelp's reviews.  

I would not hesitate to recommend JCA to my family, friends and neighbors.

Had a problem with a clogged toilet and needed someone to come ASAP to fix before things got... um... ugly. Justin asked for some photos and was at my door about 20 minutes later (and I called close to 10pm). Fixed the problem in under 20 minutes. Couldn't have been nicer and his rate was great. Will definitely call again if needed!

To put it simply, I've never had a better experience in any kind of service industry. Long story short, my toilet was leaking pretty badly from its back pipe. I attempted to fix it, only to learn that whoever did work before on this did a shoddy job, cutting the pipe too short as well as ignoring the rotted out rubber ring. Fixing this was beyond my capabilities so I called the closest plumber to my vicinity, JCA Mechanical. A mere 3 hours after the call, on a Saturday mind you (so quick!), Justin shows up, super friendly guy. Spotted the problem instantly and quickly knew the perfect fix to my toilet. I've had past experiences with shady service companies, but Justin was completely honest and professional. They were also super reasonable on prices as you all know, these jobs can get out of hand when it comes to costs, but not with Justin and JCA. Again, super honest, incredibly friendly and professional, well skilled, and just an all in all a great experience.  Lucky for me the best plumbing company in New York happens to be the closest.

Welcome my fellow Yelp readers.  Congratulations to me, this is my first Yelp review (as if that really matters!).  Anyhow...on with it.
I live with my very special girlfriend, and neither of us really have any grasp on being a responsible homeowner (as per evidence of my own home debacle that ended in some sort of foreclosed disaster).  Well, to make this long story short...we had a ton of plumbing issues centering around our clogged kitchen sink (to go along with roofing and electrical issues...but...let that be my second and third review).  I was feeling like a seasick sailor listening to Lulu nag for the eighteenth straight week...so, I did what any clueless and hapless (desperate fits too) boyfriend would do...I pulled up Yelp and scanned reviews for plumbers.  Only one really jumped out to me.  So, I did what all desperate, hapless and clueless boyfriends do...I started negotiating (she would say begging) over the idea of calling up the plumber that I found.  Her countered argument centered around competitive cost.  Sure, she brings a valid component to this equation...but I wanted top end results...sooner, rather than later.  Earlier in the day, she feebly attempted to initiate a cheap and convenient solution...to our problem (yes, her problems are my problems).
Any one way tickets to Siberia here?  Please?
So, in her glorious brilliance, she went to Home Depot.  Yup, that's her solution...a corporation!
Where did that get her (us)?  It got us a slew of harassing phone calls from some corporate office in Colorado in regards to a complete bathroom renovation.
Have I mentioned how it's just a clogged kitchen sink that spawned this entire expedition?  With a couple of minor peripheral issues.
No, no and no thank you Home Depot.
So, she gives into my suggestion...and we call JCA.
Justin answers.  He's straight forward and no nonsense with his responses on the phone.  Lulu has plenty of things to ask/say as she usually does.
Well, I don't know...I want more time with more people to interview (interrogate is more like it).
One thing leads to another, and she sets up an appointment with Justin...which turns out into two appointments for Justin.  The second appointment being Lulu's sister.
I am at work on Saturday, so I am a bit out of the loop during all this...I come to find out that Justin arrives promptly (as he predicted) and is ushered off to the sister's home.  He does his thing there...and by the end...the sister absolutely loves having Justin there for her plumbing issues.  He fixes exactly what she wants.
A bit of background info:
This family complains and second guesses everything that involves money.  As they should since it's theirs.  They are experts at finding faults and arguing/haggling costs.
Now, I get off of work and wrap up my Saturday chores.  I call...and hear that everything is copacetic at the sister's and Justin is over doing his thing at our home.  Great.  I pick up some pizza and head home.
I get home to find a frantic Lulu.  Why you ask?  She's panicking over the cost.  Neither of us have too much money at our disposal (and unfortunately she likes to blame me for that).  I assure her that the job is getting done by a competent individual with the wherewithal to finish the entire job with the utmost care and respect.
What happened next?
Exactly that.  Justin has done great, and I am happy that we found him.  Now, what I need to do I find a little positivity and luck...because Lulu is obnoxiously angry at me inspite of getting the job done with Justin.
But, hey...it all works fine.
Now, I need to win the lotto just to get a smile and some kind words from Lulu.

My experience with Justin was perfect.  I called him about a plumbing issue, and we set up an appointment for the same day, on a Saturday when I had trouble finding any plumbers at all.  He arrived within the timeframe advertised (even earlier), and went straight to work.  It took him about 5-10 minutes to diagnose a hardware issue I failed to see myself.  From there, he finished off the job very quickly.  Justin is friendly, no BS, very professional and seems to know exactly what he is doing.  Highly recommended!

The sink in my bathroom has been draining very slowly for about a week and finally last night when the drain stopped draining at all I tried to plunge it. That didn't go so well and the pipe finally gave out, flooding under my sink and all over the bathroom floor. Called JCA today around 8pm after reading all the positive yelp reviews. Justin came over about 30 minutes later, took a look at the pipe and explained that he would have to get the parts to replace the whole pipe and snake it. Came back about 45 minutes later with the parts and now my sink is running flawlessly! He also gave me some advice about the shower that's been acting up and explained how we could try fixing it ourselves or what he would have to do if we called him in and how much it would cost. All in all it was very painless and quick, he was very knowledgeable and nice and cleaned everything up after he was done, saying to call him back if we had any problems with the sink within a month and he would come fix it for free. Definitely recommending JCA to anyone with plumbing issues and requesting that my landlord use them in the future if we have any problems. Thanks, Justin!

We were so pleasantly surprised. Usually, a visi by a plumber is followed by a bill in the undreds of dollars and work that might not be needed. Instead, it was like a visit from your relative who tells you what is wrong with your plubming, but is not in it to make himself rich. Erich was very professional and very honest. We wholeheartedly recommend them!

Great service.  We found a leak under our sink on Saturday night and didn't want to wait for Monday when our regular plumber would be back so we called JCA on Sunday morning.  They said they would be by us by 11, then called to see if they could come over earlier.  They diagnosed the problem, quoted us a  fee, went to pick up the supplies and took care of the problem in less than 90 minutes.  The fee he charged was reasonable and was less, I think, than what our regular plumber would have charged for none emergency service.  We will probably use JCA on a regular basis now.

I don't usually believe in five star reviews, because five stars means flawless. But there is no other word for the work Justin did in my bathroom today. I had two problems: a clogged tub drain and a running bathroom sink, neither of which I could have fixed myself. The sink was probably 1,000 years old, a piece of cast iron work that was sorely in need of replacement. I was stressed with the problem to begin with--who isn't stressed out with a plumbing problem?--but Justin could not have made it any easier. He took me to the hardware store, explained what I needed to buy and why I needed it, made suggestions when I had no idea what I was looking at, and then came back and fixed everything in two hours. It was ridiculous. There is no other word for it. It doesn't hurt that he's a great guy and easy to get along with. His attitude was the best part: he's calm and reassuring when you're worried about a serious problem. And that is tremendously important. These guys are the best. Highly recommended.
