Best Toilet Repair in Kansas City MO
This company is an absolute treasure.
My shower handle broke at 7:15 in the morning and wouldn't shut off (my house water shutoff also wasn't working). I called Stine-Nichols in a panic wondering if I'd be able to make it in to work today.
Not only did they respond and follow-up immediately, they had a plumber at my house within 30 minutes. He was friendly, efficient, and thorough with his work.
I absolutely recommend Stine-Nichols for anyone with a plumbing emergency - not only will they respond and repair quickly, but their rates are VERY reasonable and fair, and their employees are friendly and helpful as they could be!

Can't say enough good things about this company. Called them to actually get advice on what to do as Snake 'N Rooter had already told me my line was busted and needed complete repair ASAP. Anthony came with camera in hand and determined only part of the line was bad and was even able to get the camera through a hard right turn in the pipe that Snake N Rooter couldn't, which they just assumed meant it was broken. I ended up being very fortune I didn't spend over 10K with another company and got this fixed for a small fraction of what I expected.

I had a great experience with At Your Service Drain Cleaning. My main drain was backing up sewage into my basement. I called & they were able to come out that same afternoon to clean out the roots that had grown together in my sewer line. They were done in about an hour and were very proficient. I recommend this company to everyone needing their drains cleared.

We had a sewage line back up at 7AM - they called me at 7:58 AM (they open at 8AM) and had guys here about 9. Super friendly and professional. Very attentive to the fact that we could not use any water in our house so they made us a priority. I will highly recommend to anyone. Awesome.

Tracy, Scott and their office staff were amazing getting us cooled off when no one else would help during the hottest days of the year. Tracy and Scott were here on a Sunday and again the very next night after regular business hours to fix a manufacturer issue. They called when they said they would, showed up when they said they would, charged the price they said they would, explained processes and equipment and were just pleasant to talk to.

They have now been to our home twice. Very kind, helpful and great work. They are not in a rush allowing time for clear explanation and quality work.

Can I rate zero stars?
$99 service call fee. Then they wanted an additional $540 to replace two shower cartages. They are $25 parts at Home Depot and take about 30 minutes to install. My on-site property manager, who had never done this before, was able to figure it out in 45 mins with no leaks. I explained to her how the system is put together and she was able to run circles around Anthony. I've had other plumbers in other metro areas charge $130 total for this kind of work. They will overcharge and the appear to proscribe work unnecessary.
I called to complain and they did not comp the service call for such a massively over priced bid. They claimed they have overhead and experience. $540 to do what my never-done-the-work-before-property-manager was able to do in 45 mins?
Do not use!

This company appears to be a call service that dispatch work to different subcontractors. They will not give you an idea about the cost associated with their service unless technician shows up at your door. This is exactly what happened to me. The estimate was 2-3X what a normal charge would be for drain cleaning. I told him no thanks. What a waste of my time and his gas. $500 for a mainline cleaning from a clean out? I am not that desperate for your service. Thank you. Save your time and find someone more reasonable.

Let me share a story about my experience with Rick Ramsey of Affordable Plumbing & Sewer.
First, a little background...
My wife and I came home one day to a foul smell in our house. Long story short, I went downstairs to find our sump pump full of water/sewage and it was STEAMING. I ended up finding out that our sump pump motor had stopped working, but was still on and it was heating the water. You can imagine how fun it was using a ShopVac to clean up that mess.
Anyway, I ended up having another company (I wish I would have found Rick earlier) replace the sump pump motors in both of our sump pump pits. I then had the sewer line camera'd (I used a great company for this...again, before I found Rick as he does this too) and they basically told me that we had cracks in pipes from both of the stacks in our house.
And now the hunt for a quality sewer line replacement company in Kansas City began. I talked to the guys that installed the sump pumps, but wasn't confident in their abilities and just didn't have a good feel for them. I looked on Angie's List and contacted one of the companies, who came out and told me what they thought needed to be done. But when I got the quote, it was extremely high. I replied back to them and said I'm not going to pay several mortgage payments to have this done.
So again I did a Google Search and that's when I came across Rick Ramsey and Affordable Plumbing and Sewer. I called Rick and told him what was going on. He came out that night (around 6:30 p.m.) and walked through the situation with me. He told me what needed to be done and how he thought it would work. He later sent me a proposal and I agreed to move forward.
Rick initially thought it would take a day to get the work done, but as can happen with projects of this scope, it ended up taking longer (but he didn't increase the price as his proposal included a fixed price for labor and materials...something he advised me to request no matter who I hired to do the work).
Rick was at our house for a couple of days and jackhammered up the floor in a few spots, replaced two stretches of sewer line from two different stacks in our house, replaced the kitchen drain line (which we also found out had cracks in it), removed all of the concrete and debris (and believe me...there was a TON of it), cleaned out our sewer line all the way to the city main (and brought back some tree roots with it), and installed two new toilets that we purchased.
Rick also educated me on how the plumbing industry works in Kansas City and, frankly, it made me sick to my stomach. Needless to say, there are a lot of consumers getting screwed by two-bit plumbers and also companies that spend thousands of dollars to market on the radio and tv every month.
I was dreading (literally almost sick to my stomach) this project before it started...just imagining having my basement floor torn up, dust everywhere throughout our house from the jackhammering, etc, etc....and in the end I'm so very thankful I found Rick because he did quality work for a quality price. On top of it all, I felt like he was honest with me throughout the process...and that's something that isn't common in his industry.
I highly recommend Rick Ramsey and Affordable Plumbing and Sewer if you ever have plumbing needs. And I hope you never have to go through sewer line replacement like I did, but if you do, Rick is the guy to call.

I own a business that has used Snake n Rooter for over 10 years. It is a well run company with knowledgeable techs. You can reach them 24 hours a day. They have the technology and staff to handle everything from a clogged drain to a cracked sewer line. Of course there are rare times when they are called back to a job that didn't seem to be done just right but what business has a PERFECT record? They do stand behind their work and will get it taken care of. Their staff is friendly and professional whether it is the people answering the phones or the technicians. The technicians bring mats to put down in the area they are working so you never have to worry about cleaning up after them. It is just the way Mr. Barefoot, the owner, has structured the company.

Erl, the owner, is a nice, polite, and professional guy. He did a good job in helping us to identify the potential water leak. I would definitely recommend Rising Son to my friends!

want to send a huge shout out to Austin Pierpoint with Pierpoint plumbing. I won't go into details, but because of his knowledge and follow up on a holiday weekend, he may well have saved two very precious lives.
Thank you, Austin, from the bottom of my heart!! I am beyond grateful!!

First I would like to say Zach (I hope I spelled his name correctly) was wonderful! He came when he side he was and was very courteous and friendly! He explained everything to me. Every person that has serviced my home have been great but he stood out! I like this company because they tell you the cost upfront and I don't feel like I am being scammed!

I plugged up my kitchen line using the garbage disposal. Called at 10pm and they sent a great guy out. I've got an older house from the 20s and it took a fair amount of snaking but they got me back up and running by 1am for the $170 they quoted me over the phone. Great service from beginning to end. They gave me some advice on how to prevent it from happening again.

I've used the their services twice and found them (and Rick the plumber) to be highly professional, friendly, clean, and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them to anyone needing any plumbing work.
- Very knowledgable. Rick took the time to explain everything that was happening to the repair and extra things to be on the look out for in the future.
- Friendly. Easy to talk to. Rick even took the time to make the pets feel comfortable with a stranger in the house. Rick was fun to talk with and joked while fixing the sink (didn't slow down any, just kept working hard and cracking jokes).
- Professional. From shoe booties to keep the carpets clean; explaining everything happening; checking out existing systems (water heater and softener) to see if there were any other issues. I felt like I received top tear service for the money spent.
- Cost effective. After a pipe broke during a hard freeze, they went right to the area that broke. Took out the smallest section of drywall they could and repaired the problem pipe. The plumber took the extra time to listen (and view the meter) to the house/pipes to make sure there were no other leaks. Again, first class service to make sure the problem was FIXED when they left.
- Great Price. For the amount of work/effort they did the price is amazing!
Cleanliness. They cleaned everything up and took the trash with them. No bits of pipe, paper or trash anywhere. This was refreshing compared to another plumber we used before Taylor.
Again, Taylor is a good contractor at a very fair price.

If I could give less stars, I would. Our water pressure began to get worse and worse. Called our city utilityman to check and he said there was no leak, but we need to replace our PRV(Pressure Regulator Valve) He said it would be an easy fix and we could do it ourselves. It looked tricky so we called Roto Rooter for second opinion before we attempted to fix ourselves. They tried to charge us $650 to change PRV. Then went on to say we did in fact have a water pipe leak and said it could be between $5,000-$20,000! My husband talked to his dad and he told us how to check for leak ourselves(we are new homeowners) and there was no leak!! We think they loosened our water to look like we had a leak! Then my husband and his dad changed out the PRV for $85 in less than an hour! Boom, fixed! So, they lied to us, made us think we couldn't fix on our own bc we didn't have $3,000 tools, and tried to charge 6-7 times the cost of part to fix. Also, as we were talking I realized we had an AB May warranty and they said they wouldn't help us at all and tried to talk us out of going to them. VERY unhappy with the way they treated us.

The business is posted twice with slightly different names, but it's still the same crooked business.
Jay no longer works the field, he only handles the business side, leaving his less than reputable wife, and her mentally challenged son to destroy anything left of the reputation that Jays pluming had.
I hired them to replace my main water line, they were running average of all the bids. They guaranteed that I would be satisfied with their service and were very professional.... That's a lie!!!
One of the crew propped open the truck door and urinated in my driveway! I have a 15 year old girl that lives across the street and several girls behind us! Let alone, it was in my driveway!!!
Their best employee was bidding out work on my house, for off the clock extra work. Their manager, Jays step son, threw his trash out in my yard, and when I said something his response was it'll get buried when we fill the hole! Not the point!
They filled the gap where the new line comes into the house with window caulking instead of seam sealer or plumbers putty, they didn't reconnect my ground rod to my electrical panel and left me with deplorable excavating! My meter well is 6-8 inches below grade and I had a super high hump in my yard because they didn't finish!
Then Jays wife came to my house and demanded to be paid! Hey finish the job first! Let alone they broke the law and didn't seed the raw dirt that law required!
Stay away from them!
This is a terrible company
They go through employees like drill bits because they pay them or they short them. An employee can put a lien on your house to collect payment.
