HISTORY
Established in 1951.
We service homes all over the entire KC metro area. Our business mission is that our customers come first. Our name goes back to 1951 and Anthony (Tony) D'Agostino. Tony and his wife, Mayme, started Anthony Plumbing in 1951 in the basement of the family's home in Prairie Village, KS. As the business grew so did the family clan, adding five sons to the work force. Paul, the oldest, started in the business like many others as a youngster running and fetching for his father. In 1999, Paul became the sole owner of Anthony Plumbing, Heating & Cooling. In 2007, he sold it to Steve Burbridge (former Owner of Neal Harris) and Cecil Davis (former Service Manager of Neal Harris). Continuing the legacy, Anthony Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, & Electric is still considered the Premier Home Service Provider in the Kansas City Metro expanding out to Lawrence, Kansas.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Steve learned much about the plumbing and HVAC business through his dad, Ralph Burbridge. Ralph owned Waldo Plumbing & Heating and then bought Neal Harris Heating, AC & Plumbing in 1982 when it was a one-truck, two-person operation. Steve vowed to grow the business to new levels by providing exceptional customer service with “Technicians You Can TRUST With Your House Keys.”

Very disappointing experience this morning with Anthony Heating & Cooling. Scheduled a technician to come to our home this morning tell us why water from one of our bathroom faucets was streaming week. Our home is 6 years old and the faucets are standard Delta faucets (nothing fancy). The technician went right to the faucet and tried to unscrew the aerator to see if it was clogged, but he said he could not unscrew it because he needed a aerator key to do it. He said he did not have one and suggested that I order one online. That's it! He said Ok, that will be $89. Instead of arguing with him, I paid him the money and sent him on his way. I immediately called the Anthony Plumbing office and complained that the technician should have this aerator tool in his arsenal (considering that Delta faucets are not uncommon), but the lady I spoke with basically said that there was nothing she could do for me. $89 down the drain!!! I definitely would not recommend them!!!!
8 weeks after Anthony Plumbing installed a furnance I was without heat on a day when the high was 34 degrees. The reason I was without heat was because when Anthony Plumbing installed the furnance they did not apply safe and correct settings which resulted in overheating the furnance to the point a safety feature turned on and shut off the furnance. In the time span of 10 weeks Anthony Plumbing has had to visit my house 8 times with multiple invoices citing previous techican errors as the cause. 15 business days after the last visit, Anthony Plumbing's only response is that they will only inconvenience me further with a 9th visit to my house. Unsafe installation, endagering my family, leaving me without heat, repeated service errors and antagonizing customer care.
In late Sept 2015 an Anthony's service team member tried to convince me my 9 year old furnace needed major overhaul. I had a second more reputable company look it over. It was fine. I immediately cancelled my service contract with them. If they present you with an expensive service estimate get a second company to your house asap.
Anthony Plumbing and Heating had good reviews so we hired them to come and fix our toilet which was not running. They put in a new line and ended up breaking it off behind the wall. This is according to other plumbers who looked at it. Then, they claimed it was due to having an old toilet so the leak happened that way through the screws on the bottom of the toilet. They then put in a new toilet. Bottom line is that due to their error which they refused to acknowledge we ended up being on the hook for around $9,000. What happened is that the leak they caused led to water getting in the walls and having to cut out a hole in the wall and then dry it out. Then we ended up getting mold due to this issue so had to have air scrubbers put in the house for days at a time. This was not cool. Major noise pollution. Finally, we had to have new flooring in our bathroom plus the ceiling fixed down below and painted. We were out of the bathroom for THREE MONTHS. So no they are the last company on planet earth I would use for my plumbing needs.
WE WILL NEVER USE ANTHONY'S AGAIN!!! We've been a loyal customer of Anthony's for years and will not longer use them again.
We had them come out twice a year to inspect and assess our furnace and AC. However, this last time Angela, one of their techs, they told us that we needed to replace our furnace because it had several holes in the furnace. At that point, they sent out their 'SALES REP to give us a quote. $13,000.00. to replace our furnace and that was after our 10% discount.
After reviewing their video and NOT SEEING any holes in our furnace, we decided to have it inspected with 2 other HVAC companies who stated that it didn't have any holes and it didn't need to be replaced.
Later we learned that ANTHONY'S techs are on COMMISSION and they try to scare their customers into replacing their units so that they can make more money.
SCARE tactics don't work on me and I argued with their sales reps and techs over the facts that we wouldn't be using them again.
I highly recommend that you DON'T use ANTHONY'S, unless you are desperate as they will attempt to SABATAGE your HVAC system.
I was charged nearly $2,000 to swap in a new garbage disposal and water pressure regulator. These routine services took the plumber less than 2 hours total to complete and should have been no more than $700 job.
This company will rip you off, if you must deal with them protect yourself and request a free estimate no matter how small and routine your job is, then get another quote from somewhere reasonable.
Edit 12/31/2022
After speaking with the folks at Anthony Heating & Cooling regarding the matter of my review below they offered to issue a mutually agreeable refund of a portion of the service call. Very much appreciated. Everyone was very easy to work with.
I also would like to apologize for my less than professional conduct during the initial call of complaint regarding the fee I was charged.
As I did not actually receive service from the technician from Anthony Heating & Cooling, I cannot speak to the quality of service. I can however say the staff is friendly, easy to work with and response time is quick.
Potential customers - ask questions - be informed in advance of requesting a service call. (Good advice for any service or purchase.)
Thank you to Anthony HPC for working with me to bring resolution to this matter. Best wishes. Happy New Year.

Less than one star. Frozen pipes. Technician showed up (early due to cancellation). Spent 5 to 7 maybe 10 minutes explaining that the only thing he could do is what I had been doing all day long...applying a heat gun to the line...oonly it would cost me $353.00 for an hour of his time and then at two hours we'd be at 1000 something etc.
Ended up costing me $229.00 for him to show up and tell me he cant help me beyond what I was doing myself onlyhe was going to have to rob me blind.
I know it Christmas Eve, I understand the cost of service, I even realize in the anxiety of frozen pipes, on kidney dialysis and me with my own disability frim brain surgery for years ago leaving me unable to a lot of stuff I used to do...(enough of my sob story, we all got one). So I just threw 229.00 away for nothing but to be told keep doing what i was already doing. Anybody else want some money...seems thats what i do i guess. Wow! Thanks for nothing. Thankfully QuikTrip is right around the corner.
my advice check yelp reviews, anyone can write a google review including ppl who work for the company/fake accounts. This was my second plumber- first plumber had already found where the leak was, drywall was already taken off so you could see pipes clearly. Showed anthony's technician where first plumber said leak was. He said he could find no leak and it appeared to be coming from the roof. I literally just wanted a price comparison. Had roof inspection done- no damage, no leaks, no water damage. Called third plumber- confirmed same leak as the original first plumber. Notified customer service team that I was not satisfied and had wasted my time and expense on incompetent technician, no assistance and no refund whatsoever. Another downfall to this company is they give you no time frame at all when they could come out and then call you when they're 15-30 mins away

Anthony Plumbing ran a check up today and did a thorough job. The technician, Mike,
explained everything he checked and let me know the condition of my furnace. He also demonstrated best way to set the thermostat. He was polite and neat as well. Great job all around!
They did what they said they would when they said they would. Advisor and installers were both professional and polite. Installer was vey efficient and in and out much sooner then I expected. Very patient in working through delays with my Home Warranty Company

What amazing service from this fine company and from Bobby A the plumber who did all the work. When I called I learned that my leaking water heater was classified as an emergency so they scheduled Bobby to come check it out that evening. He was professional, courteous and explained everything in a very knowledgeable and thorough manner. After applying a temporary fix, Bobby returned the next day to replace the water heater along with two other crucial pieces. When he was done he answered all my questions and walked me through everything he addressed. I could not be happier with the service, courtesy and overall professional culture this company and Bobby represent.

First-time client. Their techs arrived when promised and everything went smoothly. They went above and beyond to make sure my humidifier, which was installed by somebody else, worked appropriately by installing a part the people who installed it forgot (or didn't care) to install in the first place. Great overall experience.
Great commercials but sad not to see even 1 black employee and you cover the KC area? Shameful.
I would give them less than 1 star if it was possible. Please don't believe everything they tell you - even when you have it in writing. I signed up for the A.S.A.P. (Anthony Service Agreement Program). They provide a booklet with the member benefits listed - one of which is Same-Day Emergency Service. This is not being honored by their plumbing department. I previously had a problem getting the HVAC department to honor this benefit. I was assured this was an oversight by the call service and the situation would not occur again. Today (Sunday) when I attempted to get emergency service the plumbing supervisor was the one to confirm they would not be honoring the guarantee of same-day emergency service. He further stated I would be added to the list to call tomorrow (Monday) to schedule the service appointment. When I pressed him regarding the guarantee and insisted that if they were not coming today it needed to be first appointment tomorrow, he stated there was no guarantee I would receive a service call on Monday, as it appeared the schedule was already full. My next stop is the BBB. DON'T USE ANTHONY!
Top notch service and technicians! Well mannered and professional in appearance and in every way! Takes time to service thoroughly and explain steps and answer questions. Does not get any better than this ! Very pleasant technician and experience!

BAIT AND SWITCH company,,,
Here's procedure....
BAIT............ $79.00 drain cleaning if easy
SWITCH...... free camera inspection, to find any theoretical imperfection, in order to give a thousands of $ estimate to replace with new. notice the backhoe on web
Two times now, had to review.
I called for an appointment and got one right away. However, the technician never got the message so when I called them again, they had a technician at my door 45 minutes later. Since I was having an issue with the thermostat, he explained how the thermostat works and what to do with it and what not to do with it. He even wore booties over his shoes. This was my first time using Anthony Plumbing and will certainly use them in the future. I would recommend Anthony Plumbing to others.

We have been loyal Anthony customers and ASAP members for many years and recently called to have our AC examined as it was not cooling the house. The technician and his apprentice came within 48 hours and we were told the freon was low and the dual action capacitor needed to be replaced. We agreed to the fix and after working for about 90 minutes the technician notified me that after he replaced the capacitor and turned electricity back on that the wiring began to melt and pop rendering the compressor useless.. a fix of (quoted on the spot) of $3000 . We were advised that the AC should be replaced as it was somewhat older (8years).. A salesman was sent shortly thereafter (same day) and quoted us a price of $11,800 for AC replacement but would kick in a free furnace due to the circumstances. Note: we did not need a new furnace. At that point we contacted two locally owned companies to get quotes as we were far from pleased at Anthony's response and at the likely error (crossing wires) which resulted in the damaged compressor, in addition to a house which was now 90 degrees. We decided to go with replacement with a local company and had the AC replaced by them a couple days later. After several phone calls to Anthony's seeking some compensation for their error and resultant damage they offered to replace our AC.. Which at this point was done. We would like some compensation for the ruined compressor but at this point we have been ghosted. So many great years of service has to end like this is a massive disappointment.
Update, Anthony did contact me and wanted to make this right. They credited me back about half of what they charge me. They stepped up and did the right thing! I am giving them back my business.
High prices but quality work. I would have declined the service if they were more upfront about the actual cost of repair prior to combing out to home. Probably not best option for simple repairs. There are cheaper options but work is quality and they do stand by their work. I had an issue with repair and company resolved the issues. Also, tech and phone staff were exceptionally nice and well trained. It is nice to call a company and speak to a person and not a answering machine.
I was an ASAP member for more than a year. We have had Anthony out a couple of times in the past to replace items on our AC unit. I was originally satisfied with their work. However, recently I had them come out and look at our furnace because it was not supplying any heat. One of their techs came out and couldn't figure out why it wasn't working. He then stuck a camera inside the unit and said that it was about to break, which it's not, and would cause carbon monoxide and kill everyone in the house. He then recommended a new unit. He also quoted repairs of $1,100 to replace the thermocouple and single stage control panel. Neither of which are on my unit as it has a flame sensor and it is a two stage system.
A few hours later two, extremely pushy, salesman came to my house and quoted me $10,400 to replace a standard 3 ton unit. But, to do me a solid they brought it down to $8,000 and offered financing at 9.9%.
I then decided to call someone else. He came out and within a few minutes diagnosed the power issue. The last time someone from their company was out they disconnected, or failed to reconnect, a wire to the blower motor. Once that was reconnected, the inducer fan motor was making a very high pitch noise and shutting off. This was due to the fact that one of their techs damaged the fan guard and blades. Once those were straightened out it started to run, but would then cut out. He then checked the exhaust pipe and found a dead bird. Once the bird was cleared out the system ran fine. None of this was diagnosed by Anthony and everything that was wrong was due to Anthony's negligence, or perhaps sabotage, in order to get me to purchase a new system for $8,000, which is about $3000 more than it should be.
I would not recommend this company to anyone. When I called to speak to a manager I was just given the run around and they would not even refund my $89 inspection fee.
I am on the ASAP program so had them out to do the air conditioning tune up. Right off the bat the technician said I needed a new filter. Hmmmm, only replaced it less than 30 days ago and it is a Air Bear Filter. Then the freon leak. By this time a supervisor had arrived. Two pounds low of freon. $441 to do a leak check plus $244 a pound for freon.I was told the leak is probably in the coil. Unit is only five years old and under warranty but if the coil was leaking $1,300 to replace it.I told them to put two pounds of freon in and leave. This company is way too full of themselves with pricing. I will find a better option in the future. P.S. my air conditioner had been cooling fine
before they came out and gave it the death sentence.

Do not hire this terrible company. Anthony ripped me off big time last week. Called Anthony because we used them for a quick and easy job that was still overpriced last winter and they conned us into their ASAP priority customer thing ($16/month for a kick in the jewels). So, I figured since we're already into them more than a hundred bucks for doing nothing they might treat me decent. Nope. Had a bad bath tub drain and needed them to put in a new faucet that I bought already (normally a $200 job, max). Nice guy shows up, screws around with the bath tub drain, takes it apart, throws it on the floor, leaves it there, installs the sink, and charges us $666. For some reason this dumbass thought this was funny so he got the price down to just under $600. For ripping up our bath tub, not putting it back together, then a very simple faucet install. Next day another guy comes over from Anthony. He looks at it for about an hour, calls some other plumbers who know more about this kind of thing, then gives me an insane quote that includes ripping out part of a ceiling and not replacing the drywall. So, add in a handy man or carpenter for that. I asked him to leave, then noticed he didn't put the drain back together. My daughter still needs yo shower in that tub that barely drains until I can find a better solution, but now I'm down a bunch of money for them their guys to screw around. I'm also paid by the billable hour, so just dealing with these people cost me an additional $400 while they were bugging me and not fixing anything while they were over. Do not hire these scammer clowns!!! Save yourself a trip charge and call an independent or small business recommended by a neighbor or reputable neighborhood online group. Don't let them steal from your family, too.

I had Tech come out for annual AC check. He left and said everything is fine checks out good, which I would hope so due to unit only few years old. About 3 hrs later I noticed air not working which has been since April. Called and couldn't get anyone out until next day and couldn't give me a time so I have to wait all day. This is not the first time this has happened and am so sick of them taking several tries to do a simple maintenance check.
Could not fix the problem but agreed to come back every 2 months for the rest of my life to run the sewer line again.
Anthony charged my elderly mother $700 to repair the toilet. After they repaired it, she noticed it was still running the next day. Turns out they installed a cracked valve and then came out and charged her to repair that. There are other, more reasonably priced options. Please be careful in choosing a plumbing service. This type of service is sad and takes advantage of people.
Plumbing tech came out to do a whole house plumbing inspection...looked at garbage disposal, said there was rust forming where electrical cord goes into unit. That rust meaning water and electricity not a good thing... gave quote of $1000. For a 3/4 horse medium priced unit. Said no thanks. Next day I pulled unit out and replaced with a unit I bought. Sadly I found ZERO rust ANYWHERE on old unit(see pics.). Sent an email to customer service explaining what happened including pics and a copy of his service report. Received service report with pretty detailed pics of each area he checked EXCEPT the rust on disposal...but unfortunately in her email response.... Said NOTHING about my concerns re disposal, nothing.
Sent second email asking for her comments re tech false statement.
No response. Sent third email... response was.... I've not talktech yet, is there anything I can pass on to him? Again absolutely no comment re the lack of rust on disposal in pics I sent her. Sounds to me like the Texas two Step..
I have been on the ASAP plan for 5 years. I have liked the service I have received regarding HVAC inspection and repairs. However, I have been very dissatisfied with the plu mbing side. The estimated cost for minor issues have very, very high. Last year I needed a flapper valve in a toilet and was quoted $118. This is a $10 part and a 2 minute job and other than the part probably should have been free as a customer service.
This year I had a leaky bathroom faucet and the estimate was almost $200 to replace the 2 washers. I have now cancelled the plumbing portion of the service.
I don't recommend the company. They try to overcharge you, in my personal opinion.
I was a so called ASAP customer for many years.
This May , during the scheduled tune up ( the visit was paid for ) they recommended to add one pound of freon and wanted to charge me $165.00. The cost of one pound is around $7.00 and the extra time that a technician would have spent was around 10 minutes.
I don't appreciate when people are trying to take advantage of the situation.
I did cancel the service.
Thank you
Addendum
The company is trying to resolve the problem now.
I will keep everyone posted.
Thank you

Quality work is not cheap. (Low cost often means low service, weak or lacking guarantees and minimal effort) Anthony is not the cheapest -- but they are the the best plumbing and heating/cooling experts I have found. I've trusted them for years, referred them to my friends and neighbors and have not been disappointed. They tell you up front how much the repair or replacement will cost, give you lots of options, do excellent work, all while being polite and cleaning up after themselves -- and they stand by their guarantees. Who could ask for anything more? I guess you could ask for discounts. They offer that too through their ASAP program which gives you a discount on parts (and labor, I believe) and free inspections each year for the heating system in the fall... another inspection for the cooling system in the spring... and then there is the plumbing inspection. They don't always find issues in their inspections... but sometime they find parts they originally installed that have worn out too early and they've replaced them for free. Can't say enough about the honesty and integrity of this company. So rare these days. If only they could teach other companies how treating customers right makes it a win-win for everyone.

William was very rude and condescending towards my wife. My wife would ask basic questions and he would respond as if her asking him questions was ruining his day. William also charged $400 to cap two lines and install two shut off valves when they could have just as easily replaced the cartridge valve. There's absolutely no way to justify these prices, it was absolutely ridiculous. I will NOT be using them again. Anthony PHC knew we were behind the 8 ball as we needed the water to quit running out of our leaky bathtub ASAP and they charged WAY too much for it.

We were scheduled for our regular furnace check up. The fact that we are contracted regular customers who weren't contacted for a checkup until late December is the only thing keeping this from a five star review. The tech CJ was very professional, checked everything and found a part in the blower that was not working efficiently and replaced it. Made sure we were aware of any concerns and that we were doing regular maintenance. Of course if the furnace hadn't been performing well when it was below zero in December it would have been nice if they had scheduled us in November instead of January for our annual
Everything about this company is professional. I was in dire need of a plumber and they came immediately. They notified me in advance of their arrival, gave me a bio on the representative who was coming. I will use them again

Buyer beware! I had a leak in the bathroom. They charged me $315.00 just to reset the toilet (which should have cost $100.00 - $150.00). Then I still had the same leak!! It was the shower drain. They tried filling the drain with silicone twice, but still had the leak. When I called them to try to reach a resolution, I was never able to talk to anyone who cared about the company's reputation. Out $315.00 and still had the leak. Had to call another plumber to replace the drain.

I made an appointment to have my bathroom sink unclogged. Every plumber in town has that initial fee however, with a glance at my sink, no tools, ect. a pricing list was presented at a total cost of 300 dollars. So what did i do, showed him the door and called the company. They claimed the operator neglected to tell me the fee would be 300 dollars. Must have been an oversight seeing I was told about the 89 dollar fee. A rip off. I know you have to pay for the time they spend to fix a sink and any materials but this was a pure rip. I don't seem to be the only one. Buyer beware!!
This is not a knock against the workers at Anthony's who overall were good people. This is a review specifically for the business model and process of the company. I'll keep this as short as possible. They overcharge by 1000%. Regardless of if you are in the Anthony club or not. Once I questioned their bid the day of the job to be completed they knocked off $500 immediately which is a major red flag that I didn't get that from the start. They don't give itemized invoices to break down the price of repair for parts or labor. The workers make commission of the sale which gives them the incentive to Jack up the cost as much as you will agree to. They have the ability to charge as much as they like for material and you will never know. They can overcharge you for labor hours and you will never know. Our job took them 7 hours to complete only because i agreed to let them train a new technician so i was shocked when they finally told me the job was bid for 13.36 hours. In short there is no integrity or transparency to the process. They want as much money from you as possbile. That's is the Anthony's way. You need to acquire as many bids as possible before agreeing to an Anthony's bid in order to see what an actual honest bid looks like. Don't give them the keys to your bank account.

Jeff arrived on time and was very professional and friendly. He completed the annual air conditioning service and gave us a clear report on its condition. We were pleased to see Jeff again--he had worked with us on past visits!
Great technicians and work. But way over priced. Two hours to replace an outside spigot $522.00 is hard to rationalize and way above the national average. And we've been an ASAP customer for years.

On a Sunday evening, our AC began making a strange vibrating, grating sound. We shut off the AC and called Anthony Heating and Cooling because I had been considering purchasing their annual maintenance plan, anyway, so I figured I'd give them a shot. Since it was a weekend evening, my call was handled by an answering service who, presumably, relayed my message to an after-hours technician. An hour went by with no return call, so I called again and left my information. A few minutes later, I was talking with the technician, and he said he'd head my way. When he got here, he fairly quickly diagnosed the issue, There's too much play in the motor and it is causing the fan to rub against the housing. The blower motor needs to be replace. He adjusted the blower fan so that it would not rub against the housing -- a temporary fix, he said. I asked him how much a new blower motor would cost, and he said it would be $617 - minimum! I was flabbergasted, which seemed to annoy him, so he began telling me how bad Rheem furnaces are because their parts are different from all the other makers and are really expensive and hard to get, etc. He actually made it sound like he and his company were just victims stuck in the middle. He filed the preliminary form to get the part ordered and said he didn't know how long it would take to get the blower motor in since it was such a hard-to-find part. Then he told me I should feel lucky because the homeowner he'd just left had to have their blower motor changed, and it was a $1,200 job, but fortunately for him it was under warranty, he said. If you don't replace these, they can catch on fire! he warned.
The next morning, I called Cates Service Co, and they weren't even curious what model my furnace was. His quote for the job was $710 - or more - it depended on the part!
Long story story short, I got online and found the exact Rheem part (yes, genuine Rheem) for $109. I called Anthony Heating and Cooling and had them cancel their order, as it was evident the part was available for much less money. I got on Craigslist and found an independent HVAC technician who came out that afternoon with the proper blower motor in hand, and replaced the part. My total cost for parts and labor was $210.00
I will never deal with Anthony Heating and Cooling (or Cates, for that matter) again.

Had Anthony Plumbing come for a second time in a year. This time they fixed a severely clogged drain. While at the house, I decided to also have them replace a relief valve on the water heater. They come out quickly, high quality work, don't try to over-sell, and offer a fair price. The technician - Tyson Hughes - was awesome. Definitely recommend!
We've used Anthony for our heating and cooling needs for the last 6-7 years and have the ASAP coverage. We used them when we lived in an older home with an older HVAC unit and continued our service with them when we moved to our new home. The technicians are always knowledgeable and give recommendations about service needs or issues without trying to up sell. I can't attest to their plumbing services, because I haven't had a need for them, but I wouldn't hesitate to call them first if I needed service.
P.S. Get the ASAP coverage. It's worth every penny!
I have used Anthony Plumbing for a while for my hvac tune-ups. They have always been on-time, professional, courteous and priced fairly. I have no complaints and plan on continuing to use them whenever needed!
On September 25th I wanted to get an early start on winterizing my home which included having my furnace serviced, as well as, an estimate on replacing my 24 year old furnace and air conditioning system.
I have been an ASAP member for a year now, yet had no idea that two visits from two separate techs would be scheduled for the following day.
The first tech, Jeff showed up on time and introduced himself as a senior tech. He proceeded to provide excellent service which went way beyond my expectations. He was introduced to my 4 year old granddaughter before examining the furnace. Seeing is believing and without using scare tactics, Jeff expressed genuine concern when showing me the pictures of small fractures that could lead to carbon monoxide poisoning. He recommended updating my smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.
That afternoon Kirk arrived to access the replacement and the cost. We had a thorough discussion about my desire to replace and relocate the new system. The relocation would involve redesigning the plumbing, gas, and ducting to function properly with the existing infrastructure. He was very knowledgeable about HVAC, but was hesitant to offer advice on the plumbing which was not his expertise. I was very satisfied with both technicians and their 5 star review is well deserved.
We had a sump pump installed on May 13, along with a lot of other work and a large bill. Within a couple of weeks, the sump pump started spewing water all over the sound-proof box enclosure. Justice came back and fixed the leak and said the sound board would dry out and be just fine. After several days, it was apparent that the sound board was warped and smelled. We called Anthony and they said they would have their usual repairman come out and rebuild the box. Long story short, the repairman has just cancelled for the third time now because he says he doesn't have authorization from Anthony. Tim, the repairman, keeps calling Anthony, but they say they haven't approved it yet. They keep telling us they've approved it. We called Anthony again and they say they'll give him authorization, so the repairman is holding the time spot for us tomorrow. This situation is not fair to us or the repairman who sets aside time for us. This sump pump is in a finished room, which we cannot use because of the mess and the smell. I'm getting totally frustrated and we are ASAP customer. I guess it doesn't stand for AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. I am ready to use MY handyman and take the bill to Call For Action or Problem Solvers.

Please DO NOT use this company. We had work done with them that seemed expensive but didn't get a second opinion. Then they came out for routine AC maintenance. The technician spoke only to my fiancé, who does not own the house, and didn't acknowledge me. He then told us that our AC was leaking coolant. He quoted $700 to fill it as a bandaid OR $600 to search for a leak plus either $3,500 or $4,500 plus labor to fix the coil plus ~$1000 to add more coolant. We had a second opinion out who said they're trying to rob you. There's nothing wrong with your AC. AVOID THEM.

Every part of my experience ranged from mediocre to poor. They did indeed accomplish the task however left a gas leak next to my water heater/ furnace. When informed that it smelled of gas I was first assured that was impossible, because they check everything, but finally someone agreed to send out a tech who was coming anyways to install a forgotten component. The next day. No one apologized, and then acted like they did ME a favor by coming back out. I don't know if the pandemic has everyone in a poor mood or what. I'm in construction and the business of trying to keep people happy. This was very poorly handled.

Our ac unit shot craps in the hottest month of the summer. They scheduled a day to replace the unit and in the interim they installed a temporary unit at no additional charge so we wouldn't bake like potatoes. That's going above and beyond in my book. We went ahead and replaced the heater as well since it didn't have a long future ahead of itself. Come to find out the previous installer didn't have its location up to code. They put two vents in the wall and it passed inspection with flying colors. I didn't find the price of the entire job excessive. They're probably not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and we got professional, courteous, attentive, high quality service, not to mention top of the line ac/heater units. Best wishes to them and keep up the great work.

I called for $70 drain cleaning. on 3/25,I THOUGHT it was going to be soon since I received a text that said, see you soon so I left work early, he arrived around 630pm, was unable to get the correct direction to get to blockage. Tech w/camera came on 3/27 and opened a tiny bit w camera, not sure WHY drain person couldn't come w him to address the problem. He offered an $11,000 solution to the problem as well as saying I really should REPLACE the toilet in basement, then after questioning that he said all it really needed was new guts.....
After more questions about solutions that didn't cost thousands of dollars he offered to come out again w more experienced tech for drain work. On Saturday I asked for a FIRST THING Wed appt for 3/31.
On Tuesday 3/30 I called to verify I had appt first thing Wed, I was told that a dispatcher would call me, they did not call. On Wed morning I called, asked if I was first on schedule, eventually was told I wasn't, I was second....that these are scheduled ahead of time , blah blah blah......
Once 3ppl arrived, the Camera person, the Drain person and another, it was determined that indeed, using a cutter blade would very likely do the trick w the roots. Whatdya know.....it sure did.....so, IF I agreed to the $11000 repair/replace, would ANYONE SAY......this really doesn't need done....tree roots can be cut out....!
.....same w replacing a toilet when it only needs new insides.
I don't care if I barely have money or I have truckloads......this is deceitful, ridiculous, and actually horrifying that the problem wasn't taken care of the most basic, efficient manner, and that the scheduling was ridiculous.
Was the blockage resolved? YES
Was it done efficiently? NO
Was it done honestly and w/out a lot of drama? NO
Were they all courteous? Yes
I was debating between one and two stars and decided to be charitable. I contacted them in January in response to their Hereford House promotion, $50 gift card with estimate. We got the estimate, we got the heating/AC unit but never got the gift card even after several follow-up calls. The week they installed the unit they had to make two return visits to fix installation problems. On the up side at least the unit is now working properly. Just be aware of their promotional come-ons.
UPDATE: As mentioned in the comment by the company they did give us the gift card, after five months, plus an additional one as an apology. I am increasing my review by one star because of the effort. Unfortunately you only get one chance to make a first impression.

My review isn't specifically about the plumber that came to our house. He was very kind, thorough and professional. But this is more about the company itself and everyone should be aware of this. I had a plumbing issue that I was given a quote of $2500 as a band-aide fix and $10,000 for a permanent fix. Of course I was in full panic mode seeing these figures, but as a young woman, I am used to being taken advantage of in areas I know nothing about. So, I called a local plumber that has been self-employed for over 20 years to get another estimate. The band aide fix he was able to do for $700 total, not even close to the $2500 that I was previously quoted. And the permanent fix, that we will do later-$800 total. When I told him what I was quoted yesterday he said Let me guess: It was either Anthony plumbing or Bob Hamilton and told me some horror stories of customers being over-quoted and taken advantage of because their plumbers work on commissions. This is so wrong on so many levels. I encourage everyone to get a second opinion or estimate ALWAYS. I will never use a plumber from a large company again, and will encourage my friends and family to do the same.
Update...only response from the company was from a woman who knows nothing about plumbing or pricing with no explanation besides taking pride in customer service and their 4.9 google rating.
We had a shower issue and Anthony's got us in the same day. They did an great job of explaining what the issue was and how we could get it resolved quickly at a good price. Love that our technician also went above and beyond to explain future maintenance we could do on our own to prevent future issues.
Oh my goodness! Wonderful Sales team and every technician has been great. Today was our summer checkup, pretty standard, yet I was pleasantly surprised again. Larry really informed us in detail of everything he was doing and why he was doing it. The best was how the outside AC compressor is cleaned for Summer. What a knowledgeable man. We will ask for Steve for our winter tuneup.

Swapped out a Moën Faucet cartridge in March. That actually went well and I would rate it five stars.
As part of that service, they talked me into signing up for the ASAP annual service program -- which I agreed to. Months later (as part of the ASAP program), they emailed me to setup an electrical inspection, which I did.
But, they never showed up. Evidently, there were other 'emergencies' which rendered them unable to show up or call to let me know that they couldn't honor the appointment.
Well, okay, but I blocked out my time and paid to send my dogs to daycare for a no show. Anthony, your customers' time is valuable too.
There are dozens of reputable service companies in KC. Use those instead.

I need a quote on a new unit. They call you before they come to let you know they are on their way, and even send a pic of the person coming! A+. However their prices for a new unit installed was 2k higher than another local company...and that was the same model quoted by another company. So yes I like to get things done right, but not for 2k more. They lost my business over the high quote.
Extremely overpriced. Tried to charge $200 for a $20 part that takes 3-5 mins to replace. On top of the $100 service call. Tech said I can probably do it for $200 not a very professional quote if you ask me. Would not recommend, you can find better companies who act more professional.
The techs they send out to do the actual labor are top notch. If you ever need a ac/furnace repair be sure to ask for Jeff. He's great and the price is right. But when it came time for me to replace my 43yr old AC, I was not impressed with Mike, the sales guy. He wanted to sell me the most expensive products and would not come down on price even when I asked about other ac/furnaces that were not name brand. When I asked why his AC/furnace install was so much more expensive than other quality installers ($4800 compared to $3500) he told me that some installers don't price properly... Well Mike you're absolutely right, which is why I didn't chose you, but when it comes time to get maintenance, I'll be calling Anthony's and asking for Jeff. He's a great guy and a great repairman..
My landlord called this company to come check out a squealing toilet. Kevin arrived, saw him walk up the driveway putting on a mask, awesome! But the mask was covered in stains. Maybe have a couple on hand. He was so kind to put plastic covers on his feet when he entered my home for the first time. After checking the toilet he had to return to his truck to grab something. Came back. No plastic covers on his dirty boots. My landlord decided to go another route. 30 minutes after he left my toilet was over flowing after not being used. Seems a little fishy that it would start overflowing for no reason after my landlord told him they didn't want to spend $1000 to fix a toilet. Keep an eye on them. Just be wary of this company.

I called 1 week in advance to schedule an A/C tune-up for my daughter. I wanted the 8:00-10:00 window but was told that time wasn't available so it was scheduled for 10:00-12:00. Apparently, on the day of the appointment, I missed a call from them at approximately 9:00 but, since I didn't recognize the number, I paid no attention to it. Around 10:00, I arrived at my daughter's house and, seeing that I had a voicemail message, listened to it and realized it was from them. I called them to let them know that I was at my daughter's house. Finally, a few minutes before 12:00, I called to find out when they would be there. They admonished me for not answering my phone when they called and made it sound like I was at fault as if I had missed the appointment when it was them who didn't keep it. They tried to say that they work in the most efficient manner, etc. but I wondered efficient for whom? Certainly, not for their customer! What's the point of making an appointment if they're the ones who can't keep it? Needless to say, I told them to forget about coming as there are other companies in Kansas City to choose from. I called another company and scheduled an appointment for the very next day. Problem solved!
Just had an air conditioning check. Tech was fast, efficient and knowledgeable.
Our sump pump broke on thanksgiving night around midnight. They were at our house and had it replaced within an hour. Great service and our tech was amazing! Hope we don't need service again but if we do we will DEFINITELY call them again!
Prompt and fair service with friendly employees. I would definitely recommend this company.
On 11/16 after noticing leak in kitchen sink, My wife had Anthony Pluming on site. The technician removed a plastic bag from ptrap, but could never explain why water was not backing up through sink.
While preparing Thanksgiving meal on 11-23, I noticed water leaking from sink again. I had to call Anthony multiple times to get Technician scheduled 11-23 and on site 11-24. When they finally arrived within 2 minutes he diagnosed the problem being the garbage disposal motor was allowing water to leak. This was on a disposal they had installed 3-4 years ago. When asked why this wasn't diagnosed previous week Technician became very defensive. I called Anthony's Management while was here who explained the options were to pay $500 for a new disposal, or $285 in labor if I purchased the disposal, or I could always wait another few days before they could send the original technician on site. I am convinced through previous actions with Anthony and this action they are only interested in building up their ASAP business and if you don't sign up their service is poor. Why would I invest more money with a service vendor who performs these services.
After Anthony left, I called another plumber in KC we had used recently, who is coming today to install a new disposal (same model) for $285 including price of disposal unit and service.

I used to LOVE Anthony Plumbing But just got scammed. First of all I wanted to sign up with the ASAP program but decided after the $888 they did Tuesday to install two new faucets and two new drain hoses. Im done with this company they also took 16.50 the same day for the ASAP program, must be a SAP to go with that right. the Plumber never quoted me a quote for the job before he started to work. The lady on the phone I asked her how much it would cost to install the new faucets, she said shed have the plumber call me with a quote that day I called her and he never did. I want to make people aware that is illegal practices. The plumber was nice and never changed our valves like he shows in the description because he didn't even know where our shut off part was in our house to put new drain lines in , he just wanted me to sign a few things in his notebook, he said you dont have to read those, just put your signature down. So be well aware that they wont give you a quote for the job and it may be higher than you've ever seen in your life. Time to DIY instead If you can. High robbery Circus.

So, yesterday (09-05--2022, 09:16) I attempted to call Anthony Plumbing, got a pleasant woman who informed me that Tim was on another call and would return my call as soon as he was off the line, never happened. This was the comment from Anthony:
Alan, we would welcome an opportunity to discuss your experience regarding this review, however, we can not locate you in our database. Please call us at Anthony 268-4669 so we can help you better understand our pricing and services.
Thank you!
I find it hard to believe that after paying $718.00 on 04-05-2022, for an air conditioner cleaning ($49.00 special that y'all had my contact info when you cold called me with the special) and to install a $20.00 part (price quote from Grainger; one of the most respected supply houses in town), and one hout of your technician time, that you would not have some record of me in your database. Really, seems like sloppy record/bookkeeping, perhaps an indication of problems. At this point I see no reason to expect a phone call, my only hope is Tim doesn't try to blame this lapse of communication on the woman answering the phone, I'm relatively sure the message was delivered and the response was to pitch it and let it drift into oblivion.
Otherwise Cheers!

After an accidental pipe cut (tearing out vanity), Anthony's was out our house in less than 2 hours and had everything fixed very quickly. Justice was super knowledgeable, helpful with tips for our project, and fast!
Our main drain backed up, something it's done occasionally over the years. Each time a plumber comes they say it's roots, no big deal, snake it out, and they leave. Usually it costs $100. We had a new hvac system put in a few years back with Anthony, so we decided to just call them to have the drain unclogged. My husband called and they came out, my husband told the technician what was going on and the technician said since it was his first time here he needed to run some test. Ok, no big deal. After he got done he said it's the main drain and here are you pricing options 1) the premium service at $280 and he can use a camera, yada, yada, yada, or 2) we can charge $70 and run the snake. So since that's all it ever took in the past we went with the $70 snake run. After about 5-10 min. He told my husband it's roots and it would be and extra $200 to run the blades. We said no thanks, paid him the $70 and he left. We called another plumber, they came out, snaked the drain for $100 and left. Don't use Anthony plumbing, heating and cooling The technicians you can TRUST with your house keys!

So disappointed. Buyer beware. Called Anthony to fix a leaking shut-off valve on a toilet. Knew exactly what the issue was. The toilet itself was not cracked, leaking, toilet did not rock, nor had any issues, except for a slow leak/drip in the shut-off valve. Turn the valve off, no leak. Yes, we have had to replace the flapper inside the toilet before, but that's routine maintenance. Service tech showed up on time. Unfortunately husband on critical conference call, no one able to be with the tech. Tech presented a laundry list of toilet repairs that had to be done... but for only $100 more he would replace the toilet. Unable to verify, or leave the conference call, husband mistakenly felt forced to agree. Tech replaced toilet, took our relatively new quiet-close toilet seat, left us with cheap plastic seat, and took over $700 of our money. He never fixed the only problem of the leaky shut-off valve. Called again. Took two techs to replace the valve. First tech tightened valve. Leak continued. Called again. Second tech finally fixed the original problem and replaced the valve - like we requested at the beginning of this nightmare. Voiced complaint on getting a toilet we did not need. They refunded the $50 service fee - which is less than what we need to spend to replace the cheap seat they gave us, on a toilet we did not need. Our mistake to be scammed and taken advantage of, but save yourself a lot of money and hire someone else.
Our technician Matt Suppes was the best. We were having our annual furnace check-up. Matt arrived on time and was very efficient. He explained the results of the tune up in easy to understand terms and even cleaned up after himself. I love Anthony Plumbing, Heating and Cooling and a big part of that is technicians like Matt.
We had semi annual HVAC check today. Our tech, Lance Belgrave, was polite, courteous and very professional. He took the time to explain everything. Thank you Lance.

Was very disappointed, been using Anthony for years, ASAPP member. Generally happy with service over the years, not the cheapest but always timely. Then this year AC was out, again quick response from Anthony, but told my compressor was grounded, entire system needed replaced. Sent out a guy to quote me a new system later that day, was 12K+ for a 5 ton, 94% efficient system, the entire HVAC system, seemed more than a little high, so I called to get second opinion. Second guy asked to take a look at current system, did a real ground test by scraping the paint off the compressor in a small spot to actually check it, said it was fine, just needed a new connector installed, took 10 min and saved me 15K, at least for now! Ensure you get second opinions!
Anthony came out to do our annual heating check in new condo. We've used them for years in previous house and always pleased. Craig Dutcher was courteous and thorough. Called attention to several potential future issues so appreciated those heads ups. Would recommend their ASAP plan.

Wow! Service above and beyond. Our 18-year old hot water heater chose to die on a holiday weekend. We had no idea whom to call. SIL said the husband of a co-worker is employed by Anthony Plumbing and was happy with his job. On that thin thread, on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, we called Anthony. Technician Steve arrived that afternoon. He confirmed that the old heater could not be revived. He was knowledgeable, informative, and ready to help. He was NOT a pushy salesman. We asked a myriad of questions and came to our own decision ... replace with a tankless system. Install was scheduled for Tuesday. That was Steve's day off -- but he said, if his co-worker Rick could not do the install, Steve would rearrange his day off to do it for us. Rick and Zac were here at 9:00am. Husband and I both had to work so left the two men alone in the house for most of the day. They were extremely professional. Masks, shoe coverings, informative. To vent the system posed a bigger challenge than anticipated. The price was fixed even though some extra labor and parts were involved. They hauled away our old 75-gallon beast and left everything spotless when done. And, after four days of cold showers, we have hot water! We greatly appreciate that Anthony was all about quality service without any pressure to up-sell products/services we don't want/need. We could not be more impressed with the three Anthony professionals that helped ensured we will have hot water for another 18 years.
Anthony (Loren) came out for their annual plumbing inspection. I received much needed advice and money saving measures. I have always had great service from Anthony's and was surprised to see bad reviews. We recently had a water softener replaced without an issue. We have not had an AC inspection this year because I think we dropped that service. We bought an insurance policy on the systems if they fail from another company.

Cost to repair furnace with parts seemed very expensive, around $1800.
After research and online shopping, I saved over $1200 making the repair myself.
They were professional and courteous, however I can't pay that much more for markup on parts.
I also felt they were pushing every service/warranty/option they could think of during the service call. If I call for repair, just diagnosis the issue and give me details to repair. I don't need to hear about everything under the sun offered by your company.
We have been loyal customers for several of the services that Anthony's provides. We used them to replace the HVAC for you personal home. When we had an issue with our HVAC in a rental property that we owned, it was our first thought to give them a call, especially since we knew they offered a referral program. We had a sales representative give us an estimate and he told us we would qualify for the referral refund and should expect to receive the $500 within a few weeks. When we didn't receive the refund, we called on several occasions to request information on the status. At no time were we informed that we would not qualify. Finally after months have passed, we checked in again and received a call back from management stating that we actually didn't not qualify for the refund due to it being our own property. Despite this being the case, Anthony's is honoring the refund policy. The personal call and the way this was handled has made us feel valued as a customer.

We are in the process of buying a home and it needs a new AC and furnace. It's the middle of summer and we are trying to make our moving process as smooth as possible by having the AC up and running on Day One. We thought we would get an estimate from Anthony. They said they would not give us one because we don't actually own the home yet. Or they would charge $89 to give an estimate and apply it to purchase if we decided to buy from them. We called Buckner who came out that same day, no charge. We bought a new system from Buckner and have it set to be installed the day after closing. Anthony lost our current and future business by treating us like a waste of time whereas Buckner did just the opposite.

We have been customers of Anthony Heating and Air Conditioning for several years. We bought a new furnace ($5,000) and a new air conditioning unit ($3,000) which they had to come out and fix 3 times before it worked properly.. In addition, we have used the company several times for plumbing issues. Today, we had a clogged drain in the basement and I called around 2:00 to see if they could come out. I was told that they were taking emergency calls only but if I renewed our service agreement (which I had canceled), they could come out today. That almost sounds like blackmail, especially in view of the amount of money that we have paid the company. It is now 3:30 and the drain is unclogged-another company came out within a few minutes and did it. Do not choose this company to do any work. They are way overpriced and when confronted with this, their answer always is we provide better service and parts. NOT TRUE!
My water heater broke so I called Anthony's as their stickers were on the unit. It was after hours but 2 techs showed up about an hour later. Water was running out of my water heater so they shut off just the hot water line and turned off the gas. That was worth the $89 trip fee for me. However they quoted me a replacement WH and labor at $1400. I asked for a cheaper model but that's the only one he would quote. $600 for the water heater and $800 labor to install. I went to Lowe's the next morning and got both water heater and install for $800 and that includes purchasing an extended labor warranty. I immediately cancelled Anthony's. Sorry Anthony's, it's your choice to have company vans plastered with your techs photos and all the other overhead you feel is necessary (but isn't) to set yourself apart from the rest.
I give them 3 stars simply because their techs are always for nice and courteous. It's not their fault their company gauges people on labor.

I just wanted to give an update on my sink problem and highlight the exorbitant price of Anthony Plumbing. I was able to get my plumbing problem fixed. The cost of a new valve with two shut-offs, $22. I also got my dishwasher installed. The total time it took to do both projects, just under 1.5 hours. I read a previous review that Anthony Plumbing charged someone $350 for a dishwasher installation. If I had used Anthony Plumbing to install a valve with two shut-offs and install my dishwasher, it would have cost nearly $1,000 for 1.5 hours of labor. I guess they are not upselling enough of the Anthony Plumbing, Heating, Cooling, and Electrical service agreements. I also imagine someone has to pay for the all their advertising. Just don't let that someone be you.
While the quality of the work was fine, the COST to replace a simple igniter on my furnace was EXHORBITANT. The price of a new igniter for my furnace typically runs about $100. Anthony charged me $609 to do this work - which took about 15 minutes. That was in addition to a $100 non-emergency service call. So, if you look at it as an hourly fee, they charged me about $1600 per hour for a simple job. Yes, I paid the fee because I had no heat on a cold day. But I would not use this company again. My neighbor also had the a similar experience - ridiculously high price for the service.

Work is satisfactory however ridiculously expensive. Less than an hour of time and $30 dollars in parts to replace two pressure valves on my water heaters cost $650 dollars. No way to justify these prices.

Our furnace went out over the weekend and we called on Monday morning and they sent someone out by 9AM that morning. He checked to see if it could be repaired and recommended replacing the furnace and offered to come back that evening so we could both be home to review the options. He spent almost 2 hours with us measuring and discussing the options and explaining the next steps so we could be sure we were choosing the right furnace.
When the team came out to install the new furnace they were very friendly and were hard workers. They took great care to make sure they cleaned up their work area and went over everything they had done to make sure we were happy with their work. They even took the extra care to provide us with two carbon monoxide detectors to ensure our family's safety.
Everyone we interacted with was very friendly and professional and seemed to have our best interest at heart and it was a great experience.
If all you need is basic maintenance services, this company is fine. If something fails and needs replacing (A/C unit or hot water heater, etc) this company will quote the most jacked up, inflated prices imaginable. Their service techs appear to get commissions off of it and have an incentive to quote as high as possible. This happened to me twice and both times they didn't even try to work with me on cost. My dad used them and they'll work with him on cost so maybe they are more responsive to men which would be a sad commentary in itself. That said, what actually happens is they quote inflated prices and then come down to make you think you're getting a discount when you aren't. They just did this with an A/C unit for my 82 year old dad and he thinks he got a deal when he could have saved $1000 more with Stratton Mechanical Services had he checked. I just had my A/C unit replaced with Stratton, and Anthony had quoted a monstrous $7200 while Stratton Mechanical Services installed our air conditioner for $5015! This shows just how overpriced Anthony is. They quoted almost the same price ($7000) to my dad before giving him the deal he got where he ended up paying the same amount as I did for a much smaller and less efficient unit. Buyer beware.
Had our first service from Anthony's yesterday. Our tech was Lance and he did a super great job. Did much more than our last service company for our heating/cooling systems. Cleaned EVERYWHERE! Had a number of instruments to test things like temperatures, gas leaks, electrical readings and more. He pulled out components and inspected/cleaned that have never been cleaned before. One such went bad a few years ago and now I realize it was probably because it had never been cleaned - cost me a pretty penny too... Overall, I was impressed with everything from Lance, very professional, knowledgeable, courteous (wore booties). Had all the tools he needed (other techs have actually asked me to borrow a tool or two in the past. Only thing I did not like and that was not due to Lance was the charge for a box style filter replacement - $58 when I can get them from a good source for less than $40. That would be a Honeywell, pro-grade 20X25X5 MERV 13. Got a thorough report from Lance via email (my requested method) soon after the service. Highly recommending and sticking with Anthony's.
this has to be dumbest company out there! scheduled an appointment to get an estimate, at home waiting for them, also working from home, they called could not answer, on another call, someone left a message saying have the technician available, pls call back - so called back like 30 min later, customer service no idea why, then half hour later i get a call, they called when could not answer moved the technician some other job, so need to reschedule... so why we booked an appointment? call me the night before or in the morning to confirm, not when the technician available... and then move him to another job.
If i could give it negative stars I would. I'm a single mom and for this i am counting on people to help me in whatever way I can. Anthony came over to my house and flat out lied to me. They told me that the fractures in my furnace would cause carbon monoxide poisoning in my air ducts if left untreated. They told me i needed a new furnace. My daughter was not home at the time but i was both fearful and stressed out. I had a contractor over today, with his own heating and cooling guy (whom I trust implicitly) and he told me that nothing was wrong. When he called to talk to Brian Wolves, who had to come over late last night to help me, he wouldn't pick up the phone.
I was an ASAP member.
I am disappointed and feel used and ashamed that they would do that to me.

I had an on demand hot water heater quit - it was still under warranty which Anthony contacted the manufacturer and got the parts taken care of but LABOR was almost $1200. Communication from their technician and their office was the poorest I have experienced. The guy showed up - told me what was wrong and gave me the price and that he would have order the parts - except I was going to be out of town - so I asked when I could expect the parts in - agreed to pay the $60 expedited shipping which didn't happen - because the technician later told me it was going to be $200. While I appreciate not getting billed another $200, he never bothered to call and tell me he didn't have the shipping expedited. The day before I left I called them because I hadn't heard anything from them and he said he thought the parts would be in that day. Access to the heater was from the outside - so I asked if I needed to be there. He said no. I told him I still wanted to be notified when he was coming out because I had 3 dogs and someone staying at the house. He never called - just showed up and scared my friend half to death when she came over to let my dogs out. Then he showed up again the next day without calling to check things he told my friend. The next day (Saturday) my friend calls me while I am still out of town - to tell me I have no hot water. I call them back - they will send someone out. He tells my friend it's the control panel and someone will be out Monday. Guess what - they never showed or called. I got back in town Tuesday afternoon - call Anthony and it's late in the afternoon - nobody there that knows anything. Ok - I get that. The next day someone calls me and the original tech can come back out Thursday afternoon. When he comes out he finds a wire that he missed the first time. So I went another week without hot water, after paying $1200. They called to make sure I was happy with their service. I was honest and said no, I found their lack of communication unacceptable. They wanted to give me a gift certificate to a restaurant, I asked for a refund on some of my bill. She would have someone call me back. Guess what? That didn't happen. She called me back the next week, said they had reviewed my service, and after all they had made five trips to my house....well, yes they did. The initial visit, the second time when they were supposed to repair the water heater, the third time unannounced or asked for (to check things?), the fourth time when it failed again, and the fifth time to finally finish the job. The best she could offer me was a gift certificate for so much off my next service call. I declined.

We joined the asap program- spent thousands of dollars with this company just to realize they are charging twice what the competition charges. When they were questioned on their rates they became very defensive and threatenEd to render our heating system useless. They refuse to provide any basis for their pricing whatsoever and DO NOT stand behind their work. Their techs also share their ridiculous political views while refusing to fix a radiator behind a toilet, because he doesn't do that . Awful company.

Prices are way too high. Sent plumber out to diagnose toilet running issue. Said it was flapper. I didn't want to pay outlandish price for flapper so paid for diagnose visit and got flapper to fix. Guess what? Not the flapper. I didn't think it was but he had insisted. Call them back and the boss berated me for not having them fix in the first place. Why? He misdiagnosed it so he clearly didn't know what he's doing. Guess $300 & to fix a toilet is ok with them but not me. I was forced to pay to have it fixed though. Customer service was horrible. No apology for misdiagnosis and taking up my time again. If they'd done it right and told me the right thing it would have saved me a bunch of running around. Can't recommend this overpriced company.
Two years ago I used Anthony Plumbing to replace two shower faucets. Their plumber had to go purchase the faucets and the whole process took about three hours. They charged me $484. Even though I thought is was a bit high, the plumber did a very good job. Yesterday, our kitchen faucet started badly leaking, so I phoned Anthony. I asked them how much the job would cost. They said the plumber would inform me when he arrived and assessed the job. I was happy they could come the same day, but I was absolutely stunned that they were charging me $450 to install the faucet and I was supplying the faucet! It took the plumber less than an hour to do the job. Why was the job $450 for one hour and I supplied the parts when the last job was $484 for three hours and they supplied the faucets! Seems like highway robbery to me. I will not be using them again. The only reason I give them one star is owing to the fact that the plumber was a very likable young man who did a good job.
This company charged me $89 for a visit (OK) to estimate the cost of replacing a garbage disposal, which I had previously purchased, and asked me to sign an agreement for $305 to do the job. I did that, thinking either that the amount was still an estimate or that the $89 to visit would be included in the total price. Nope--and my bad. If you are looking for a good plumber to replace a garbage disposal (it took my installer fifteen minutes), don't let these people in your door without a solid estimate before they arrive. And if you are dumb enough to do so, you won't be able to get their representatives to tell you what the price was based on. So figure something like three hundred bucks for a few minutes of easy work.

2 faulty repairs, terrible bookkeeping (at best), retained our CC info for a year after being told to delete it & made unauthorized charges...
In August 2019, I paid Anthony Plumbing, Heating & Cooling over $1500 to repair a sink & a couple of other things in my mother's home. She had just had a stroke and was coming home from the hospital the next day.
That next day, I noticed the sink was leaking and called them back in to fix it. They tried to tell me there would be a charge to repair their faulty work. I said I would not be paying them to fix what they had not done right the first time.
While fixing this problem, they had to turn off the water &, when they turned it back on, something else broke. The technician couldn't fix it & had to call someone else out. They ultimately told me the regulator had been installed improperly (upside down) & it broke when the water was turned back on. The cost to fix it was $500.
While looking through my mother's old paperwork in the following days, I found an invoice from Anthony Plumbing, Heating & Cooling for the installation of that same regulator years before.
So, they made faulty repairs on two occasions. Then they charged me to repair their first faulty repair.
I negotiated a refund and a free year of their ASAP service, but told them to delete the credit card info & discontinue the ASAP service after the free year.
First, they charged my mother immediately following this for the ASAP service, so I had that refunded and told them again to delete the CC info.
And now a year later, they've charged my mother AGAIN for the ASAP service. Which means they've retained her CC info for a year after being told to delete it.
DO NOT CALL this company! When my furnace would not work I called them as their sticker was on my furnace. A technician came out and said my blower motor was out and would be $4000 to fix. I said how does a part cost $500 more than w whole new furnace? Is this thing made out of gold and diamonds? I know a alternator motor costs $200-$300 and has a couple bolts holding it on. This motor can't be more than $400-$500 and take more than 15 minutes to replace. I called a guy that was a retired heating and cooling guy. He came over a couple days later and 4 screws and 5 minutes later had my motor off. He said carrier will not sell to individuals so i can't buy a part from the but found my motor on Amazon for $700 which is probably double retail! A few days later i had it. Mark came back and in 15 minutes my furnace was on and working. Mark wanted $200 i handed him $220 and for $920 it was fixed. Anthony wanted $4000 and they probably could have gotten the part fir $350 or less from Carrier! This place RAPES you do not use them!
We have used Anthony for more than five years. We signed up for their maintenance program and they come out in the spring and fall to check our HVAC. We have also had them do other plumbing work. their technicians are always polite, courteous and professional. their scheduling is flexible and they always show up when they are supposed to. I highly recommend them.
Update to my review below. We had a different company come look at our furnace and it seems the blower wire did not get plugged in that was taken lose from servicing. Melissa from Anthony PHC called next day at 7:50 to apologize for miscommunication. A manager should have been contacted to review our situation last night and they would have sent a tech even though it was after hours. Melissa stated that the tech who came was new so they would be sending someone to ride along with him to make sure he checks to make sure everything is working before he leaves.
Melissa apologized several times and also credit back what was charged to replace our humidifier filter. They were having meetings today to review this issue and to correct their communication issues. Mistakes happen and I am glad Anthony acted fast to correct those mistakes. I will recommend this company to others due to their great customer service!
My heat went out. The technician Chris Peterson came in and got my heat back up right away. Very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend.
We contacted Anthony heating and cooling on Sunday morning because our air conditioner had gone out. We informed them that this was not an emergency because the weather was cool enough. The technician showed up Tuesday mid morning, was very abrupt, disheveled and when I asked if we could complete a heating and air-conditioning service check up because were moving, he quickly replied no this is an emergency call and I'm only here to check on your air-conditioning unit. We assured him it wasn't an emergent need otherwise, we would have requested them come sooner. He was very abrupt and rude and seemed as though he would rather be anywhere but work. We did not trust his judgment of what was needed for conditioning unit and will not use their services again because of this unfortunate event.
Four stars, because the day they were supposed come, they didn't. Got a call that night, about 7pm, to make sure the following day would work. I work in customer service myself, and understand the way the day can go, and I appreciated the call, which saved them.
Victor, who came to help, was great, knew what he was doing, and efficient. He was personable and effective, and got the job done for us in a timely manner. Sink in the kitchen works great, now!
We had them give us a quote in Jan for a new water heater. They did a great job, and talked us into purchasing a service plan with them. So, we scheduled a routine service (part of the plan) on our heater. They were EXTREMELY thorough, as we had a similar service done by another company the previous year and they barely checked anything, according to my husband. They found some issues with our 20 yr old HVAC system, and since we had been talking about replacing it anyway, we pulled the trigger and had them replace it. They did a great job. My only complaint? It's been 8 days since they installed it and Anthony still haven't attempted to receive our payment. I've called almost everyday to pay and am told that Melissa will call me back to accept payment. I mean, I'm fine with keeping my money, lol! I just don't get why I keep having to chase them to give them my money. Maybe if I leave this on yelp someone at Anthony will call and take my money. :P
Service guys are nice, I haven't seen them much, but my husband says they seem to send the same people each time so there's some comfort in a familiar face.

technician arrived on time for maintenance of my heating/cooling system. He was very information by explaining what he was doing and why. He even wore booties over his shoes to protect tracking anything around my home and cleaned up after as well. I have been using their service for approximately 3 to 4 years and will continue to do so. I highly recommend Anthony Plumbing & Heating to others.

I have paid for the monthly membership for 3 years. They used to be great to work with, but now they could care less about their members. They gladly charge me every month, but it's next to impossible to get an appointment for annual HVAC maintenance (they quoted me 2+ months out to actually use my membership, all the while still paying for it). When I did schedule an appointment in advance, they gave me a full day arrival window of when they would come! They expect you to wait around all day for them to show up. Even the cable company gives me an appointment with a 2-hour arrival window. Don't waste your money or time with Anthony.
I just had Anthony plumbing heating and cooling come to my home. I was told over the phone that there would be a $100 service charge. The technician, although very pleasant and polite, spent around 5 minutes, definitely less than 10 with a device looking for a gas leak in my garage heater. He found none. Apparently, that justified an additional $80 for a total of $180. I felt quite cheated. I would have been better off buying the detector myself. I can't speak to the quality of work because they did none. They are extremely pricey so be aware.
Great Service !
Always on time !
Service techs are knowledgeable and very respectful!

Critical: Value
First let me say that the plumber was very nice, efficient and kind. He arrived on time, completed his work diligently and was professional.
Here is where my concern is and what I want possible future customers to know. I called to have a plumber hook up a kitchen faucet, drains and install a garbage disposal. (I had the faucet, hoses and disposal)
The person who took my call said this was not a problem, there would be a $99 fee for the call out. The call taker at no time provided any estimate for the cost of the work and I failed to ask (definitely my first mistake). I scheduled the service for a Friday afternoon as I was completing a kitchen remodel and the counter tops, sink and appliances were scheduled to come in that morning.
Because the sink was not hooked up the appliance delivery could not hook up the dishwasher.
When the plumber arrived I explained again what I needed done and asked if he could also install the dishwasher. He indicated that he could and then began quoting me what each item would cost.
Garbage disposal install - $329
Faucet install - $381
Dishwasher - $349
I was shocked. He explained that they set a price for the instillation of each item based on the time it would take an average plumber to complete. He said their rate is $330 per hour. Mind you it was Friday afternoon and I was trying to get the kitchen back up an running. I had two options... send him packing, try to find another plumber on a Friday afternoon or bit the bullet and get it completed before the weekend.
None of the hook ups were difficult, no changing of shut off valves, no new lines to run, all of the holes had been cut in the cabinet sides etc. Hook up a facet, install the disposal, install the dishwasher. The only items needed from him to complete the jobs - drains/p-trap, some plumbers putty, a rubber cover for a stub drain tube.
He arrived at 3:00 PM. He was finished and out the door before 5:30 PM. Not quite 2.5 hrs. SO... at $330 an hour a reasonable charge would have been $775 +$99 service call. (Still over priced in my opinion but would seem to be a fair price)
Instead I get boned for $1,158.
I will never use Anthony Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric again. I would never recommend them to any of my friends.
I hope anyone looking to use them gets the cost provided to them up front so they are not put in the same position I was... I take responsibility for failing to ask the proper questions up front, lesson learned. Trying to keep others from being bent over the proverbial kitchen sink.
Thanks for reading.
**UPDATE**
Anthony Plumbing, Heating, Cooling & Electric does not like honest ratings that are not positive. Received a phone call the day after this post and spent 20 minutes listening to the caller read scripted responses touting their great service, warranties & business plan. They want me to be satisfied but offer only blue sky, no real desire to make the customer happy.
If you value honesty, Do not use Anthony. They will rob you when you need help. They wanted to charge me $1700 to clean my a/c coils. Then suggested I buy a new system (10k) when nothing is wrong with the one I got. Them not cleaning my coils at a reasonable rate left water dripping on my furnace, so now I need to replace the motherboard. I was in their loyalty program which included a maintenance plan which they maintained but now i need a new system. I ended up calling another company who cleaned my coils for $125. Anthony will never get another dime of my money!! DO NOT USE THEM!!!!
I'm a little bummed to see all the negative reviews after logging on to enter my own review, but thankfully my experience was vastly different. We purchased a home this summer with fairly new hvac units (installed in 2014) and Anthony's stickers and maintenance logs were attached, so we called them to have the tune-ups scheduled. Matt Carter came out and was very thorough in his inspection and brought me up to speed on the operation and proper maintenance of the units, neither of which I was familiar with. We've also signed up for the ASAP program, which seems a no-brainer cost wise, so we will be having a plumber out soon to have the hot water heater, sump pump and water softener looked at/tuned-up as well.
I have used Anthony for my New HVAC and new furnace and new gas water heater.
I find them to be all very friendly and clean and do a thorough job.
They are not the cheapest but not the highest in town.
They are higher than many on the smallest of tasks - so I have used others for things like a new ADA toilet with self closing lid.
I have appreciated the courteous and friendly helpful service people and appreciate the ASAP program for discounts on services and annual thorough inspections.
The answering service is always friendly and courteous also.

Wow, this started out poorly because they lost our information! We had scheduled an appointment for an estimate on a humidifier system, 2 hours later the guy finally showed up... To his credit, the administrator didn't inform him of the appointment but it was still 2 hours wasted. The technician was knowledgeable and professional, wore paper booties and presented himself well. It was enough for us to schedule the installation.
The scheduled installation went a lot better. -He arrived at the agreed time and did a great job!
Crooks. Called to ask about the $59 drain cleaning and got an appointment. Told the gal we lived in a condo and she said no problem.
The tech called to say he was on his way and we told him we loved in the condo at Crown center. He said on my way.
When he arrived he said Italian eh and I said yes sir and he said I'm Italian too. I said Ciao. He asked where the problem was and I showed him the shower. He took a few photos and then said that since it was a condo in a commercial building he would have to charge me $271.
I said WHAT? Everyone knew it was a condo from the first call and this is not a commercial building as no commence is being down here. Just single family living. He said sorry and i proceeded to tell him to get the f ck out of my place and what a crook he and his company was.
I can imagine them doing the same to older folks who aren't going to argue.
He said his super would call which he did a few hours later trying to make amens but I wasn't going for it. Get me once, you know the saying.
Looking a past recent reviews it seems to be a pattern STAY AWAY AND SURLY DONT LEAVE YOUR KEYS WITH THEM!
Anthony's Plumbing is a dishonest company!

Wow did I hit a home run calling Anthony Plumbing. They sent out Andre Jordon to clear out a coogged toilet. He could not have been more friendly or professional. He told us exactly what our recommended optiions were, and recommended the cheapest option. he didnt try and upsell us at all. He augered the toilet and and it works perfectly now. we have been having this problem off and on for months, very frustrating, but now are what is hopefully permanenetly fixed. On top of all this, they came in out in just hours from my call. I couldnt be happier .

We had a tankless water heater installed about a year ago my this company. Recently had some issues with it. It was a process of elimination to figure out the issue. But, they stayed with it and stood behind the warranty. The test of a company is how they handle a problem because every company will have them. Thank you to all the great techs at Antony plumbing, Heating, cooling and electrical. We are in actually in Blue Springs not KCK

I had some simple removal work done that took the guy about 2.5 hours, including the infinite time he spent vacuuming up a tiny square of drywall dust, and somehow he managed to come up with a total cost of over $1100 for two and a half hours' worth of work.
When I questioned it, the cost magically went down to $800, but hell will freeze over before I ever pay $300/hr for a plumber again. This was not difficult work - it was all readily accessible, and only involved capping two water lines and patching two vents/drains where the drain was removed
He also took the copper pipe that he removed with him, though it's probably my fault for not saying I wanted to keep it.
To their credit, the plumber was very nice, but the price was so outrageous that I will never use them again.
I would not trust the young man they sent out for plumbing issue. We have used Anthony for years. It will be the last time.

EDIT: I was contacted by their Customer Care department, which was appreciated. They explained to me that the previous owner did have an option for an extended warranty which would have covered labor longer than the standard 1 year. Additionally, I want to note that the tech that did the diagnosis and repair was very professional and helpful.
Original Review: Maybe this isn't an entirely fair review because I can't say whether all AC/Heat companies operate the same, but regardless, I wasn't impressed with my recent experience with this company. Flipped on the furnace the other day and it wasn't running. Previous owner had used Anthony for installation a few years ago so I had them out since it was still under warranty. The part was out of stock, so I had to pay an $89 visit charge (or whatever they called it) on the first day. Then when they returned 5 days later, despite the fix taking 20 minutes, the labor cost was an additional $375 (part was still under warranty). Seems absurdly high. Additionally (and, yes, I know this is just how it works) I don't understand why labor is not covered under warranty. As a company, you CHOSE the manufacturer you want to work with, so if their parts don't hold up, that reflects on YOU to. Anyway, it sucks to be out over $450 because a part stopped working on a relatively new unit.

Had them come over to snake a drain bathtub was backed up they wanted time charge me 800 to run sun machine to clean it out and then feed to take the toilet off to snake the drain. Total bill was $1999 And all I wanted was my drain snaked. I didn't do it told them I would call them back out but found a solution in the meantime. It cost me $50 for the tools I needed and I did it myself

Chris was a great technician. He gave us great information that we can use to lengthen the life of our furnace and A/C units. Chris was courteous and had great communication skills. We've done business with Anthony for approximately 7 years and have been pleased with the way they have taken care of us.
It cost $289 to have them diagnose the problem with our furnace, which took approximately 30-45 minutes. This did not include the price they quoted to actually repair the issue. The pricing seems exorbitant.

I recently had a tech come to my house due to AC not working. The issue was the outside fan motor. While I got the quote and agreed to the work, I felt I could trust the company I had been doing business with for years, so I had no reason to question the cost I WAS WRONG. I found out after talking to a relative (in another state), 4 other local companies that I paid over $400 to $500 more than what it should cost. They used a universal motor, nothing fancy or specific. I have asked for a break down of labor and parts and they refuse to provide it including the supervisor they lump labor and parts into one line item. Let me break it down for you in talking to several people and companies. Lets say for example, based on info I was provided at $240 for a motor (if its unique, which mine isn't) and at $100 per hour x the 2 hours of work would equal $440. In people I talked too should take maybe 1 hour and actually closer to 30 minutes, By the way I have also found out that companies have apps that allow them to modify the cost of the part they want to charge, the amount of labor they want to charge and some technicians could be commissioned (not sure if mine was but something he could be). The company doesn't care about people only about ripping people off.

I had These people install a new AC unit and furnace in our home about 4 years ago. I requested that they leave the old units so that I could take them to salvage. They took them instead. I requested a serviceperson out to take a look at some wires that were hanging down from a vent in front of the furnace and asked why it was left in that condition. The service tech stated that he didn't install the units and could not be expected to understand the mindset of the individuals who installed the unit. That's not what I wanted to hear. I then asked about why the unit seem to no be blowing very well. He then stated that it could be the filter and that because it hadn't been changed the coil in the furnace is likely frozen. Back to the reason I called them out. I asked if there was anything he could do to correct the problem with the wiring. He stated that I would be charged for the removal of the wiring that should have been removed in the first place. I also found that when the installed the furnace, they removed the humidifier and left a gaping hole on one of the air heat or return vents. I then asked about my warranty. He stated the the warranty for a 6,500 dollar air conditioner and furnace only covered one year labor. and that to remove the wiring would require an additional charge. Needless to say I would never recommend this company for work on our home. If you can't trust them to do their work properly, how can you trust them with your keys? No thanks. And to add insult to injury, I was still charged 105.00 and the tech did nothing.

I have had the ASAP agreement for 3 years now and it is worth every penny! Our a/c had issues right before we were scheduled to go out of town...we called at night pleading for urgent service and we had someone at our house by 9 the next morning. (Thanks Levi) Every single one of the service people that has been in my home has been friendly, courteous, patient & thorough! Once we had an emergency plumbing issue during a party and the poor plumber was here until almost 10 pm! ( yes, we made sure he had food before we would let him leave!) Thank you Anthony!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Totally overpriced rip off artists! My air conditioning unit wasn't working so I called them. They came out and said my Air conditioner needed to be cleaned. I agreed to have it cleaned. After 20 minutes the service man came back with a bill of $424!!!! This bill will take me over 20 hours to pay for at my job making normal wages. I feel ripped off enough to write this review in the hope that some pour soul won't get scammed like I did! DO NOT GET SCAMMED! Call someone else!!!

Good luck. I used their online system to schedule an appointment. Due to a very busy week, my time was limited. No one showed up. I later found a voice mail from them calling to make an appointment. Apparently the online appointment making is just an avenue to submit a request for them to call you, not actually make an appointment as it states. I gave them a second chance and scheduled another appointment. The only available time I will have for weeks. No one showed up. They called me the next day telling me they had room that day for an appointment. Ummmm, yea, that isn't going to happen. I don't have time to sit around waiting for someone to not keep their obligation. Understandable why they do so many promotions and giveaways. Good service might be a better approach...
Sometimes it is best to wait a few days to respond. As I told you over the phone while you were yelling at us, your company would be the last I would pay to fix the problems you created with our plumbing. But thanks for your offer to charge us to fix the problems.
Your company and especially you have been nothing but rude and unprofessional. We will tell everyone we know about this unfortunate experience. It has been posted to our company bulletin board. It is no wonder you must 'troll' the internet for bad reviews for Anthony PHCE. There seem to be plenty.

I would highly recommend to anyone! My furnace stopped working Thursday night after the big blizzard of Feb 2013. Called in, got next day service. Was able to use a coupon i got off of their website. Josh came out 8am Friday and replace my blower motor & starter. They did great with setting my expectations about costs & educating me on what broke & how they were going to fix it. I signed up for their ASAP preventive maintenance program ($22 a month) so I know my furnace, air conditioner and all my plumbing gets checked annually from now on!

Every time these guys come to my house they are incredible. Super friendly and they answer all my questions. I have never felt like they are just checking the box to fulfill the service contract. They are always punctual, very communicative, and friendly. I like that they text me before showing up with a picture of the technician so I know who to expect. I've never felt pressured into buying unnecessary equipment or repairs. In fact I needed a part replaced that was a simple fix and the technician walked me through the part/process to do it myself and save $100.

I have a love/hate relationship with Anthony. Unfortunately, we have had many reasons to call HVAC/Plumbing companies over the last few years. Anytime we have decided to call Anthony (because we're currently ASAP members and they come out same day for emergencies), their techs are very knowledgeable and professional. Each time we call with an issue they will say something to the extent of We'll send a tech out as soon as possible. There will just be a $89 service charge plus the cost of repairs. But beware, this is NOT accurate. I have yet for them to come out and only charge the service fee. Even if the repair identified can't or won't be done at that time, they will ALWAYS find something else to charge you for. The $89 is just to get them to your front door step and if that's clear in their communication it is one thing, but it is not. They lead you to believe $89 will be the service charge to identify the problem and then any costs after that will be the labor and parts to fix the issue. In an industry where many plumbing and HVAC companies will provide free estimates or apply the service charge to the repair being done, this is where Anthony really drops the balls in my opinion and causes me to question calling them. If it weren't for being ASAP members with the same day service (really the only benefit of this program), we would be looking elsewhere.
We called and had service scheduled for a Saturday morning, they came on time. Two technicians came. We told them the problems we were having, the techs looked over our problems quoted us a price. We were very impressed with the service, they did not try to nickel and dime us like past companies. Very nice and respectful technicians and customer service representatives. We would recommend this company in the future and if the need arises again for us we will use them.
Can I rate zero stars?
$99 service call fee. Then they wanted an additional $540 to replace two shower cartages. They are $25 parts at Home Depot and take about 30 minutes to install. My on-site property manager, who had never done this before, was able to figure it out in 45 mins with no leaks. I explained to her how the system is put together and she was able to run circles around Anthony. I've had other plumbers in other metro areas charge $130 total for this kind of work. They will overcharge and the appear to proscribe work unnecessary.
I called to complain and they did not comp the service call for such a massively over priced bid. They claimed they have overhead and experience. $540 to do what my never-done-the-work-before-property-manager was able to do in 45 mins?
Do not use!

I have no idea how anyone could have had a bad experience. They are professional, keep you informed, quick to respond, and reasonably priced.

Ive tried Anthony a few times now and I think that I am moving on. They seem a bit unorganized. I know its a busy season but WOW..The technicians seem ok, maybe a little green and then when you have to take your complaint into Customer Service is a joke. They are really lacking and I guess its because they are a small company. The way they talk with you when you call in, and my experience with the Customer Service Manager was not pleasant. All she says is let me talk I can only help you if I talk and continues to talk over you and then tries to laugh and make fun of it and seems unprofessional. For the prices they charge, the service is cut rate.

$200 for a pound of R22; had to contest unapproved work ; needs to screen subcontractors better
Very courteous and professional but EXTREMELY OVERPRICED. i just had them out for an AC system not working. They quoted $622 to replace the run assist (capacitor) for the fan. I got it done by a another licensed and insured vendor for $180. A third vendor quoted $200.

Checked local companies on major install of an AC unit. Anthony service techs seem pretty good/efficient but the sales team focuses on upselling and quotes were double that of other companies. Do your homework and check online reviews and pricing to get a reasonable range of what products and service should cost. Then check out local competitors like Mission. It will save you $thousands.
We felt comfortable working with Mark who was thorough, prompt, COVID approved and assisted in getting our gas stove installed. When the job was completed we were unhappy with the end result as an electrical outlet was not installed and power cord was exposed.
Tim West made good. Our frustration was alleviated and we feel we were made whole.
We love our new gas stove!
This company did a sewer job for me in Olathe, KS that started at $4,000 something and quickly went to $9,000. I called to speak with the manager in the middle of it, but never got a return call. I had a controversy about $200 dollars, (having paid everything else) I told the accounting people to take out the last $400 I owed. They said I owed $600. I said you have my permission to take out the $400. I just checked my account and they took out $600. So apparently once they have your card, they do whatever they like. Still never got a call from the manager to talk through the charges.
My take on them is over-priced and uncommunicative. Go elsewhere.

I was completely and totally taken advantage of. They came out to replace an outside faucet that had burst. This was very easily accessible from under the kitchen sink and the tech wasn't even at my home for an hour. The actual job itself took less than 20 minutes. I paid over $450. I later call out to other plumbers and get a quote of $85 plus parts (estimating the part would be around $45), and $120 including parts. I've used them for years and have had everything from pipes fixed to a dual a/c and furnace installed. Never again. I'm cancelling my ASAP as well. RUN from this company.
My 80+ year old mother's furnace went out Saturday. They came by for an $89 service fee, and before the technician left the cost for some reason went up to $100+ which made her apprehensive and she called me. I called today because nothing was left with her I.e. invoice or anything. It was told to me since she didn't have an email they couldn't leave a statement or anything. WHAT...!!! Not everyone have an email so those people are just out of luck, what about homeowners that itemized their taxes! I gave my email and received the receipt. I spoke with customer service and they sent an email to someone else to return my call. I asked what was wrong and it was explained to me & it would cost $1035 and 7-14 days for the parts. I asked for an itemized invoice I was told they don't do that they have set prices. Now I really understand my mothers apprehension. I ask what parts needed to be replaced and called another company. They came by within two hours diagnosed the problem. Left for about an hour came back with the parts, fixed her furnace all for $350!!! Be very careful with this company. $1035 to $350 wow what a difference! Plus that cost was discounted they said because we had a plan with them! No stars from me but I have to give a rating which is why one was given.
Came out for a scheduled maintenance check. Technician told me after a half hour that the older air conditioning unit was completely flat of freon and that the cost to find the leak would be at least $1000... and age of unit meant I should probably replace it. (said the cost of pumping the Freon in to find the leak was at least $500). I made an appointment with their comfort specialist to discuss the $7000 replacement financing..then called another service company for a second opinion. The other company repairman came out and filled the unit with nitrogen (much lower cost) and was unable to find a leak, said there was no reason the unit should be empty. Filled my unit up with Freon and guaranteed it for two years, told me I DID NOT need a new unit. I don't know how their technicians get paid but I do know I will not trust them anymore.

EXPENSIVE! I advise you to get other quotes before committing to Anthony. I actually had a wonderful experience with the technician, but I ended up getting 4 quotes and Anthony was $1,000 over the next lowest! The phone ladies are super nice in that scripted customer service-type way. Don't make the mistake of blanketly telling them you'll be home on a given day; have them commit to a time window. I thought I'd be given a window for the technician and I was not, so of course I didn't hear from anyone until after 3 pm and he didn't come until 4 pm. It's 2019, can't we get better with logistics and scheduling on a given day? I would've been happy to use them, but can't justify their price to do so.

they put a number to call them but no area code so the call doesn't go through. they just want people to think they care.
Anthony's is the only company I would ever consider for my HVAC issues.
The technicians are always extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
Any issues I have are always addressed and solved.
No other company will touch my system.
Feb 4, 2022-our toilet was running as if clogged so we called Anthony Plumbing. They arrived within the hour. we explained the problem and suggested that the line may be clogged. The service man said that the toilet was 40 years old and explained that the gooseneck over time gets clogged because of the pourous material on the inside and I (service man) explained that the hard water calcium builds up and causes (closes?) the goose neck off.)
At the suggestion of the plumber we had a new ADA toilet installed. Cost $1,229.00 minus a discount of $66.40.
Feb.24. Toliet is again working as before. Anthony was called. Service man showed up and told us (after talking to service manager) he would check for a clog at a cost of $268.00 to us.
There guarantee (straight from the service receipt): If you are not completely satisfied with your service, we will do whatever it takes to make things right. NOT!
Wouldn't even schedule an appointment because replacing my broken duct work must not be as lucrative as the rest of their business. If you try to schedule with these guys, you better hope your job pays them enough for them to want to even schedule. Disappointing.
My toilet wasn't filling, so I called and scheduled an appointment. Anthony sent out Michael M within two hours. In that time, my pipes thawed and the toilet was working when Michael showed up. I was embarrassed to show him a working toilet. I was also a little upset to spend $99 for a call when the problem fixed itself. However a deal is a deal, so I gave him my credit card. I was thrilled when he gave me my card back and said there was no charge! I will definitely be calling Anthony next time! They're honest and kind. Thank you Michael!
I could not be happier with my service today from Anthony heating and cooling. On one of the hottest days of the year they showed up to install two air-conditioning units and a condenser unit at our office. They called before they came, showed up on time, were very professional throughout the day. After completing the installation on the schedule Drew showed me how the two new units operated and went through the details item by item. Also a big shout out to his partners today, Ramon and Connor! These guys know their stuff. Without a doubt I would highly recommend Anthony heating and cooling to anybody!

Had our new upstairs A/C unit installed yesterday. Benson(?) and Raul were awesome! Worked their tails off all day long, didn't take breaks, and were very courteous and respectful of our hardwood floors with their booties. New unit works great. Our 2nd system from Anthony Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, or 3rd if you count my sisters unit they installed. Always professional, and yes, you can trust them with the keys to your house. Great big internet high five to the Anthony team!
I made an APPOINTMENT with this company over a week ago for a Saturday morning because we work and are not available anytime else during the week. All I wanted was a bid on a new AC because of its age. Ten minutes before the APPOINTMENT time they call and say that they cannot make it because of the number of people without AC. HELLO, that is why they call it an APPOINTMENT and that is the very same reason that I was looking for a new AC so that we did not get caught with a broken AC in the middle of a heat wave. I will never do business with this company and I was a potential new customer and I am making you aware that it looks like the quick buck is more important than up front customer service. I wasted my whole Saturday morning and had to decline a family function to be at home for someone who did not show up. Cannot believe that Toby Tobin recommends this company.
Awful customer service. I took an afternoon off and canceled a luncheon appointment to be sure to be home for my inspection. Late that afternoon I received text and later a phone call informing me that they would be unable to keep the appointment.
I asked to be removed from their ASAP plan and had to follow up to insure that had been taken care of.
Last year they installed a new toilet and supposedly opened up a drain in the bathroom. The toilet works fine but the drain has never worked.
I have recommended them to friends and associates in the past and will now recommend that they discontinue their association with Anthony and discontinue the ASAP.

I just had Anthony plumbing and heating out at my house back in November to do a $77 drone opening job. In which fact they do not warranty or guarantee their job. That was a November now in February I have a water restoration team in my house tearing out my bathroom because what they did was not what needs to be done. Buyer beware. I definitely would not trust Anthony with my house keys again.
We had a plumbing inspection done yesterday by their technician, Brian Grace. He SAID he found a leak in a bathroom and showed me where the valve was missing and showed me the leak. He offered to fix it for $179 and I said no until my husband checked it out. I went to the house today (a rental) and the leak is now ruined the floor and is leaking through basement ceiling. The inspector DID THIs because there was no leakage until Brian Grace came over and inspected. I called Anthony plumbing and they sent a field agent out and now he wants to charge &250+ to fix the problem that Brian caused. DON'T EVER USE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING!!!
Technicians You Can Trust With Your House Keys!?
I called Anthony PH&C out to clear the main line from my house to the street in Jan 2019. There was water in the stack below the floor line. The technician was new to the position. He ran the snake down the sewer line to clear any possible blockage. The water did not go down. It was thought that the snake had not reached the street where it was assumed a blockage was, so the tech called the office and he told me it would be $350 to clear the line by using a longer snake cable. I agreed to the $350 and went back into the house. After the technician discussed the matter on the phone he came to the house and told me that the price was now $492. I told him it was not acceptable to me to change a price after I had agreed to the price. He did not argue with that but could/would not honor the agreed upon $350. I ended up speaking with the plumbing manager, Ray. He did not dispute that the $350 was agreed upon but would not honor the agreed price. He stated that regardless of what the technician had agreed to, it wasn't in writing and that Anthony PH&C hadn't done the work yet. I was rather amazed with this response and we discussed the situation for nearly an hour. Regardless, Ray sent me the $492 proposal. I sent him a response that said basically that Anthony PH&C has Technicians You Can Trust With Your House Keys! on your truck. I asked him to live up to that motto and the Better Business Bureau A+ rating advertised on their truck. I also told him that the $142 difference between honoring your word and reneging on your word should not be worth it. That made no difference to Ray. So after calling back to their office and finding out that no one at the middle management level, including customer service/relations was going have any influence on Ray's decision, I left a voicemail for the company president. I soon got a call from the Chief Operating Officer, Kent. He said he would look into the matter and get back to me. He did call me back the next work day and scheduled the work to be done at the agreed upon $350. It turned out that there was no blockage in the line. It is probably just a low point in the sewer line running to the street. I was not charged.
This is a matter of the modern PR/Advertising mentality over common Integrity and standing behind your word. Anthony PH&C advertises one thing and responded in another way. My takeaway from this experience: 1. Unless you have construction experience, have the time and are willing to debate/argue/write the merits of common integrity and/or you have a good lawyer, avoid doing business with Anthony PH&C. If Anthony PH&C employs someone who will renege on their word for $142, I can only imagine if your $5,000 central AC system goes down. (I actually discussed that scenario with Ray and he said that's basically the technician's issue, not Anthony's. Unreal.) 2. If you still decide to work with Anthony PH&C go around the plumbing manager. He has no idea what the logo on their truck means.

When a cold front hits, nothing can make me feel more secure than the knowledge that Anthony's got a team of great technicians on call able to save the day. At this point, I think CJ knows my house better than I do. It's always been great knowing that we have such great services available in Kansas City! Would recommend them to anyone.
They seemed nice but stuck it to me on the price of a common single part which had been replaced before by another company who I couldn't remember. Don't trust them with your wallet. Price gouging is alive.

Excellent Fast Service. Lavell was very professional and did a great job request him if yoiu need a water heater
Wish I could do a zero star. Just learned you installed a heater and ac system at my moms home for an ac that was leaking frion. She was so afraid something was broken or going to break that she went ahead and just pulled the trigger! It got installed real quick too! She clearly felt pressured and scared to not do it. It is highly unlikely she needed a full blown unit-but your scare tactic and commissioned tech made sure she knew she needed a new unit. They were relentless with her. And after the fact she told me she had a new unit installed -I was so confused and immediately responded with there is no way you needed a whole new system. She said I wish I could've talked to you guys about it first. But was afraid so I just got it taken care of.
People & companies that pray and push the elderly to make decisions quickly are nothing but awful in my book. If you have elderly parents warn them about Anthony before it's too late. Or make sure if they are using Anthony that you know or are aware of the service they are doing there.
I've heard awful things about Anthony from so many people but didn't think to say something to mom as I didn't even think this was something on her radar to have done.
Now I wish I would've have every time I heard people talking about the poor sales tactics, commissions and ability to always find something that needs fixed. Upselling at its finest-or shall I say lowest!!!!
So disgusted and disappointed!
Im not going to knock this company on service. You pay for what you get. It's high dollar and expensive. So be it. I went to Anthony to quote a 15 year old heat pump system replacement. They were 160% higher than three of their direct competitors. That means - for the exact same equipment and vendor (Lennox) they charged twice - TWICE - plus half for the same service. So imagine - you get 3 quotes for the exact same thing for $6000 and Anthony quotes $15500. For the exact same thing. Mind boggling.

Came out to fix leak in garbage disposal. Said he would have to pull ou tthe dishwasher and re-install it so he could get to a pipe. Fixed the leak in about 40 min. Dishwasher never was un-installed. Then he wanted to sell me a garbage disposal for $840!!! And $240 to hookup water line to my ice maker. No thank you. SHOP AROUND!!!

Crazy expensive! Over $600/hour.
They quoted $786 to changed a valve. He said it's all flat rated which also means they could have quoted it before he came out since there was no diagnosis needed. The request was to change a valve. ....their real objective was to sell service plans...which for a monthly fee would have reduced the quoted $15.
I call BS on these guys !!!

I was assigned Matt Suppes today by Anthony PHC for my annual Furnace Tune-up. This was the first time Matt had serviced our furnace. I was very impressed with his professionalism, expertise, and personality. He fixed a minor problem with my humidifier that had seemingly been ignored by the previous technician. I will inform Anthony's that I would prefer to have Matt be our regularly assigned HVAC Technician. We have been extremely pleased with Anthony PHC for all our plumbing, heating and AC needs. We have a regular service contract with them.
Last week I called them and asked if they could give me an approximate estimate of how much it would cost to replace a kitchen faucet with an identical faucet I had received under warranty from the manufacturer. I was told that it would be covered by the $89 trip fee. I asked her two more times in different ways to ensure that I was understanding correctly. She told me she would check and left the line. When she returned she stated that unless some supplies were needed from the truck, that was what it would cost. An employee called the day before to confirm the appointment, and I tried to verify the $89 cost. All she said was that she didn't know, but if that was what I was told it was probably right. When the plumber arrived, he walked over to the sink and looked inside the cabinet underneath and at the faucet and then pulled out a price book. He then said that it would be $239 plus the $89 trip fee. I told him what I had been told and he said that he could waive the trip fee, but he could not do the work for less than $239. I asked him to call his supervisor and he did. The supervisor said the phone employee should never have told me the work could be done for $89 and the price stood. After some discussion, he told me he would call me back. When he called back, he said the price was $239 and that was that. The plumber then asked if he should get started. I showed him the door.
We recently came home to a house with no AC after a vacation, and the next morning called for an appt, mainly because the prior house owner had a repair list maintained by Anthony hung on the outside of the unit - so I'd think they'd have a history for the house and could better repair it. The tech showed up that evening, did an inspection and determined the controller card was failed. He indicated he had a universal card on his truck, but that apparently that card wouldn't work on our system - they'd have to order a new one at the cost of ~$1k or I could get a reduced cost if I joined their 'service club' and it would be ~$900 instead. He'd also indicated that might not take care of the issue, and perhaps we should have a whole system estimate as well -- in case that failed card led to a failed motor, leading to failed A-coils, leading to a failed compressor, etc. They also didn't have a history on our house, even though they had repairs listed back from 2014.
Not comforting on either aspect, but we agreed to the controller order, and the visit by one of their sales reps to evaluate the system. The tech indicated they'd call us the next morning and let us know the availability of the replacement controller. The tech left the house with our AC in the same condition - we'd have to get used to it for the next few days, there was nothing they could do in the meantime. We were charged ~$120 for the service charge, but also told we'd have another service charge for when they obtained the controller to install that one.
Since the cost of the card was a concern, I did some research on the replacement of the Honeywell card that night and found that a universal card could replace the one in our system for the cost of ~$160, with a three day wait from Amazon. A direct replacement could be had for around $200 as well if we wanted to do that - but some basic research found no issues replacing the controller with the universal one, so we went that route and ordered one.
The rep came out the next morning, and I asked him if he was sure there was no other way around ordering and replacing the controller which was more cost effective, he gave the same response about how even if we replace the card, there could/would be a plethora of other things wrong with the system - and proceeded with the whole system estimate for replacement. The estimate was ~$13k even though we have a compressor which was a 2017 unit, a blower motor was replaced by Anthony (which they had no record of) in 2014 and the last time the unit was serviced by them was 7-6-17. It was a pretty strong push to sign a deal, indicating there was only 6 units in the area, they had a bunch of service calls booking up everything, etc. I pushed back on him, indicating no rash decision like this was going to be made without first consulting with my wife, secondly getting another opinion/estimate, and third knowing I had a controller I ordered being on the way and likely delivered in two days - giving that a shot first.
That same day an HVAC guy at my wife's work who's done commercial/residential systems for 35 years agreed to swing by just to give it a look. He confirmed the controller was indeed failed, but also indicated he could easily bypass the controller to wire the motor to run continuously until I could put in the replacement card, and it would cycle as normal off the thermostat. He also indicated any HVAC tech who knew anything at all could have done the same thing while we were waiting for decision - but that the tech either 1) had no idea what he was doing or 2) intentionally left that solution off the table so we'd be uncomfortable in the house and they could press the solution they'd like. The HVAC guy also indicated that our system had plenty of life left in it based on his examination of all the components, and 5-10 years more life could easily be obtained.
We didn't receive a call that day about the status of ordering a replacement controller, but did receive several text messages about when we wanted to book the install for a new system - and how both slots for install and the units themselves were dwindling.
Two days later the replacement card did come, I replaced it with the very descriptive and thorough instructions (Honeywell ST9120B, U) and our system is working fine.
I don't begrudge Anthony trying to sell HVAC systems, that is their business. I do, however, have an issue with:
1) Attempting to charge 5-6X the going rate for the controller card, installation not even included
2) NOT bypassing the card so we could have a functioning AC system while we waited for our ultimate decision/ method of fix
3) High pressure selling from the rep, and not trying to piecemeal the bid out for only those components needing to be replaced (none, in our instance)
4) An overall push for decisions which benefitted Anthony, not the customer
I was a customer of Anthony's for a couple years. Having purchased a central air unit from them with 10 years parts and labor.
(apparently labor doesn't count towards the service call)
Nor does the plan cover a leak check as they charge for this service separately as well.
Recently I had a leak and the technician who came out boldly lied to me the entire time. Racking up an almost $500 bill and telling me that the high cost was due to the Freon type R-22, but on the bill I was being charged for 410-a at $183 per pound. (My A/C is R410-a)
Anthony's tech also told me that he had tightened everything up and I wouldn't need the leak check. (2 days later I lost all the Freon)
So my bill to me (subjective) seemed high, from being charged to have the service tech come out while having a warranty to then being told I need to pay an additional fee for a leak check, etc. etc.
After a feeling that things weren't right with Anthony's, I called Santa Fe Air and watching the new tech closely I seen that many fittings were loose. (not the new guys handiwork) He found my capacitor to be off, tightened up everything and fixed my leak for less than Anthony's and I didn't have any warranty with them. (and made me aware of the previous tech's lies) Let's just say they have a new customer.
When I contacted Anthony's office about the cost of the 410-a Freon they were quick to play down my concerns and even the tech's lies and behavior. (though I was able to get a refund)
(subjective statement) I ask myself how did this tech get away with charging me soo much per pound for Freon ??? (the office see's the invoices)
I have been contacted by the owner privately here on Yelp and felt intimidated by their tactics on negative reviews.
Overall I can not recommend this company to anyone (maybe my enemies)
After calling them on Saturday at 7:30am, a wonderful technician named Gary arrived at 9:30am. I was not currently a customer with them but they got to me quickly. Gary checked and tested my furnace and discovered what part had gone bad. We talked about all my options with absolutely no pressure. My system was quite old and I decided to get a new system. Gary called in for the sales guy to come out. About an hour and a half later, Biff arrived. He looked at my system for sizing purposes. He then asked a ton of questions about what I was looking for and what my goals were for heating and air systems. We talked about several options and brands and settled on a system that met my needs and didn't break the bank. Due to the weekend and heavy demand (coldest weekend here in Kansas), install was scheduled for Monday (today). Biff was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. There was never any pressure and no rush as I made my decision. Ben and another installer arrived this AM at 10am to begin installation. They were so nice and got to work right away. Ben asked few questions throughout the day. Once installation was complete, Ben showed me all the functions and where everything was located. He took the time to make sure all my questions were answered. The guys cleaned up after themselves and left the area just as they found it. I am so thrilled with the service I received from this company. I highly recommend using them for all your heating and AC needs. I will be recommending them to all my friends in the area! I wasn't a customer before - now I will be for as long as I live in this area. I am so pleased. You can't go wrong with Anthony PHC!!!

We used Anthony in May due to our system quit working. A tech came out and said we were low on refrigerant and that our outdoor coils were very dirty not allowing proper airflow. We paid for 2lb of refrigerant at 232.47 lb, a service fee, and paid to have our coils cleaned. 3 weeks later our A/C quit working again. We contacted another company to come look at our system. They said our capacitor went out and that our coils were dirty. I took pictures and contacted Anthony to inform them that we paid for and were told they cleaned our coils and they were NOT cleaned. They asked me to send pictures and receipt from other company, which I did. Katrina at Anthony has talked to me several times and has told me that someone would contact me to discuss issue. It's been 2.5 months, several conversations with Katrina, emails to Katrina, and text message to Karma a customer experience specialist. We have not heard back from anyone. Not only did they not clean the coils they charge me to clean, but their refrigerant is more than double per lb than the other company we used. (232.47 vs. 100.00 lb) Oh and of course, they tell us we need a new unit. I would be extremely careful using this company. I have pictures and receipts to back up my review and they have them too.

First time with Anthony... called today with an upstairs bath entirely backed up and draining into the first floor. Called at 3:29 and they showed up at 4:15. Put on their booties and followed me upstairs. Within 2-3 minutes Darin diagnosed the issue and gave me a quote for the work to fix. I signed their electronic form and within the hour I had a fully functioning bathroom (toilet, shower, and sinks). Bathroom was a mess when they got there and was clean when they left. Before they left my receipt was in my email. They were personable, professional and efficient. Will call them again and will consider their monthly plans.

Poor follow up service. Not pleased. Needed help with a problem resulting from install. Was told to schedule an estimate to correct install problem.
Don't buy into the ASAP service agreement we broke down yesterday and they cant get here till Tuesday next week 6 days what the heck add said same day service for buying this membership
Total scam.
We called someone else and was out in 3 hours
I have not used them since my last review. My update is they continue to frustrate me. I tried to change my furnace filter today and their custom made filter cover IS THE WORST. Every time I change the filter I struggle. It requires pliers, a hammer and gloves. Even their technicians say why was it done this way? Now I have no filter covers as I had to pry them off.
The people I interacted with at Anthony Plumbing were very nice. However, I purchased a water heater and decided to go with Anthony to install it. Installation alone took about two hours and cost $1,123.50, which seems exceedingly high for two hours of work. The company will not provide estimates without coming out and I was fairly desperate for hot water, so I went ahead and paid it. I was pretty shocked given the average cost listed by others online, however.
I have no qualms about the installation and they even carted the old water heater away. That service, however, shouldn't probably have cost $100 even if I hired someone specifically just to do that.
I wanted to warn others that even with all the discounts, you will end up paying more than $500 per hour by going with this company. Be aware and look at other alternatives if you can to save yourself a LOT of money. Thanks for reading!
Edited to add: I did call Anthony Plumbing and they acknowledged that I did receive service from them. They offer flat-rate pricing, which means that none of the actual individual services are listed on your invoice, apparently by design. The very nice lady on the phone was absolutely unable to help even insofar as to find out if a permit had been pulled for the work.
There are better options out there. I hope you can find them.
Called Anthony's Heating and Cooling this evening because our air conditioner went out last night. The receptionist who answered the phone was very attentive and wanted to make sure we were happy so she sent a serviceman out that night. When John came to the door he was very polite, he went straight to the source of the problem, educated us and corrected the issue. John was great!
Anthony Is great! They always make sure to contact you prior to coming out and follow up to ensure their service met expectations. Their service man Gary was prompt and professional. He went out of his way to make sure he wasn't bothersome and kept things cleanly. Thank you!

Our experience with Anthony Heating and Cooling has been frustrating, time-consuming, and utterly disappointing. We purchased our first home in August of 2017. We signed up for the Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing ASAP service through Anthony right away, believing erroneously that it would be an affordable way to maintain some of the major systems in our new home.
The problems began with the A/C tune-up we received in May of 2018. We have a dual-zoned HVAC system, with Zone 1 on the main level and Zone 2 as the upstairs bedroom level. Having no experience with such a system, I asked our initial technician, Lance, if he knew how much blow-by could be expected when Zone 1 was off but Zone 2 was running. I found out later that Lance was unqualified to analyze this problem. However, desiring to give five-star service, he attempted to figure out if our dual-zone was working at all. He removed and switched wires on the main control board, took off thermostats and tried switching them, and ultimately concluded after an hour of switching wires back and forth that someone else would have to come look at it. After he left, our upstairs level became very warm. I checked the thermostats and found that only the Zone 1 thermostat was calling for air. Zone 2 was not able to communicate at all with the control board. So, when Zone 1 reached the appropriate temp for the main level, the whole system would turn off. To be clear - our dual zone system worked perfectly before Lance, the Anthony technician, messed around with the wiring. Once he left, it no longer worked. To this day, I do not know what he did incorrectly. My best guess is that he did not power the system down properly and shorted out the control board. But as I said, before he started switching wires around, my dual zone system worked perfectly. Zone 1 could be off and Zone 2 would call for air and cool the upstairs level separately. After Lance left, Zone 2 no longer worked at all.
Anthony sent another technician, Chris, out to diagnose what happened. Chris could not figure out what happened to cause the problem, but said that at this point our control board was not working needed to be replaced. He deferred to his supervisor, Jake, to resolve the issue. Jake told me that he didn't know exactly what went wrong, but that it was an unfortunate coincidence that our board and Zone 2 thermostat stopped working when his technician came out. He said it was not the company's fault, that it was simply our bad luck. After a lot of haggling and frustration on our part, Jake agreed to put $399 toward a solution. However, our Aprilaire board isn't made anymore, and so short of having Anthony install a whole new dual zone system for a cost of between $4,000-$5,000 out of our pockets, Anthony would not do anything to fix the problem they caused. They came into our home, broke our system, and then told us we could spend money to fix what they broke.
We trusted Anthony Heating and Cooling with our HVAC system. We trusted them to do business in an honorable fashion, to be a place of integrity. Instead, we have found Anthony Heating and Cooling to be unreliable, incapable, and dishonest - certainly not someone I trust to work on anything in my home, much less with my house keys. I hope this review serves as a warning to other homeowners in the area NOT to use Anthony Heating and Cooling.

I have been using Anthony Plumbing for about 3 years now and of course, will continue to do so in the future. The technicians arrive on time and give a very clear explanation of what the issue is, what they are going to do and why. They even wear booties over their shoes to protect tracking onto my floor which I appreciate. I highly recommend Anthony Plumbing to others.
No rating. $1500.00 later and 3 trips to my house to fix what was installed incorrectly plus 2 large holes cut in my bathroom wall that I had to pay to have patched and painted. Plumber and front office said that happens sometimes. No offer to compensate me. I will not recommend them to anyone. I would advise to search elsewhere for your plumbing services.
We attempted to hire this company to fix an emergent water main break (caused by sub zero temps which have been ongoing). This weather was known to the company when I made the appointment and when I called yesterday to confirm the appointment. The expert technician was a no-call, no-show. Wh had to make special arrangements to have someone at our house to meet this person because my husband and I both had to work. After waiting an hour and a half with no communication from Anthony, I called them and was put on hold for 20 minutes before talking with anyone. I was then referred to the dispatcher who was going to look into this issue. When the dispatcher called me, she informed me that our appointment had been canceled due to weather. No apology. I then had to try to scramble to find someone else to do this job in between taking care of patients at the hospital. There is no excuse for the lack of communication and poor customer service they displayed.
After two visits to my home to address a lack of heat, it was determined that I needed a part that had to be ordered. That was 8 days ago. While they were able to get the heat working while they were here, it stopped working that night and I've been waking up to house temps in the 50's. During the day, the highest temperature in my house had been 62. Despite multiple calls to the office and promises that my calls would be returned I have yet to hear back regarding the status of the part or my issue with the lack of heat.
Customer service seems non-existent. The lack of follow through is a demonstration of poor business practices. I would not recommend this company at this time.
My frustration level - through the roof! If I could have posted this without awarding any stars I certainly would.

Had them out for some minor issues with two showers. One dripped and needed snaked the other need the faucet repaired. Took there tech 6 hours, cost over $600 and now both showers are dripping. At least the one faucet seems to be fixed. will not use these guys again!
Thanks for the customer no service. Was a long time customer, no longer. Will find a company that listens to the customer. When I called to talk about my service they became combative and argumentative. I just had a routine semi-annual service check up and they acted this badly, can't imagine what it would be like for a needed repair. There are a lot of companies offering heating and cooling service, choose one carefully. Don't base your decision on some BS commercial.

Above and beyond great service! We had to call twice within 2 weeks on the same unit for different issues, and they came right out. Jon, the service man, is excellent! Issues fixed each time. Reasonable pricing.

I like the guy that came out and sold us on using their service. Once it came to start and scheduling things that's when it went downhill. They forgot to call us back that Monday to have someone come in and look and everything, then they called my wife and act like it was our fault that it was a schedule for Monday. They reschedule for Thursday, when the guy actually got here he just flat-out refused to do the job. Then I got a phone call back saying they could do job for extra $5,000. Well the guy was here he start yelling and say my house was unsafe in front of my wife and children. I would not recommend this company to anyone else
Jo and Eric did not return my call. Strange tech mentioned no promotion. Also funny that promotion ends 2 days before my estimate appointment. No CO in house. All a big scam?

Well, I HAD a great experience with this company but I found out that my upstairs is blazing hot while the downstairs is cool. I called today to ask if there's anything they can do to come back out to look at it. I didn't know if it's the dampers or the system. I was told if it's not the system, I would be charged a service fee of $95.
Granted, I am on the maintenance program and they came out for maintenance last month which I was told is when they would adjust the dampers. They also came out last week when my furnace died and charged me a service fee along with a whole new installation. I couldn't tell my upstairs was cold when they left because the whole house was cold.
With this experience, I cannot say I would any longer recommend them to anyone because I felt like they just don't really care and just want to charge instead of trying to see what the problem is that should have been addressed when they were out for maintenance, if that were the case.
I feel they should come out to see the whole house
I love this company! I have had no issue with same day appointments and the fees are reasonable. The technicians are professional yet very friendly. I've had work done on my basement floor drain, an old furnace replaced several years ago,the day BEFORE thanksgiving, and recently badly needed pipes replaced for the kitchen sink. The technicians check in frequency prior to the service call and ALWAYS identify themselves with photo I'd and a business card with their pic on it! I can't say enough positive things about Anthony's! Don't hesitate to give them a try!

I contacted Antony to look into my older Diplomat heating unit that wasn't working, they sent Chris to look at it, after 20 minutes he told me the part that is gone bad is a Model SP 745 that he said is no longer available and his company would charge $1200 to replace it. He offered to have his company sell me a new unit. I paid him his trip fee of $80+ and I thanked him, found the part for $90 and $27 shipping and had another gentleman who does HVAC repair install it, it wasn't the part that Chris had told me, and he had misdiagnosed it. I contacted Antony and mentioned the issue. I told him I already paid them, for the part and shipping and installation based on his wrong information they gave me. They apologized and said they will send someone to check the system today free of the trip charge and I said wow, great. Today they called me saying this visit will have another fee attached to it of $89. I now realized that they send someone over, who has no idea what he is doing or he just doesn't care, gives customer an outrageous $1200 part cost amount so the customer decides not to go ahead, instead buy a new unit from them and they collect driving fees. This is totally dishonest. dishonest way to sell new units under the umbrella of repairing your unit. I say do not use them if you do its at your own risk.
