The plumber who came out was courteous and professional. We called Pristine to fix bath tub for slow draining problem. I got a quote over the phone before the plumber came out to fix. They are not that inexpensive. Actually more expensive than some of the others I called. But I decided on Pristine mainly because of good ratings at yelp after searching and hoping for a good and honest plumber.
He did the usual things like trying to unclog the drain by putting auger through the drain etc. It opened up a little bit but it was still draining slower than I'd like. He was trying to explain that the problem could be more serious than simple clog and went on to say that it might even need replacement of pipes behind the wall. But he cannot be certain until he tear down the wall. .Translation? several thousand $$$ yuk! I said NO.
He was nice enough to give me some discount but, in the end, I'm still left with a bath tub drain that is not draining like it should. I feel like I wasted time and money...

Prolific Plumbing offers exceptional customer service. I only had a dripping shower faucet so I thought; Cody was able to show me in real time moisture in the wall and garage ceiling. I had a leaking valve in the wall. Precision cutting and technical expertise impeccable! Surely saved me thousands of dollars with his diligent assessment. He was pompt, neat, commutative, with up-front fair pricing. Recommending to my homeowners association!

Scott and his brother (sorry I forgot his name!) were both Soo helpful and fair. They came the same day I called, and got rid of the mess in my sink for $99. They gave me ideas for products to help keep my pipes unclogged, and were just what you'd want a plumber to be. Smart, polite, know what they're doing and good prices. Every single part of the encounter was pleasant. I highly recommend them- and they guaranty their work for 30 days. Once you'll see their attitude and service you'll know what I mean about how unusual the experience is!

After exhausting my weak arms for hours trying to pull out the seized Delta shower cartridge, decided I needed professional help on a Saturday.
Phone was picked up promptly by the super nice owner, who understood exactly my dilemma and was able to schedule me in for a Sunday.
Got a call the next day to update the tech was held up by another project so would be an hour later than scheduled.
A super friendly tech arrived on time and checked out the situation and decided this will be an hourly rate project. Owner told me these stuck cartridges usually need to be burned out, which sounded quite straight forward with a blow torch to loosen up the plastic cartridge to slide out.
Work began by trying to get a grip on the cartridge with pliers and screwdrivers, which can't really get leverage in the tight spot/part. Was expecting the blow torch to come out to warm up the valve or cartridge to make it easier, but maybe that's a last resort instead of the easy answer?
Anyway, I suggested using the tools I had come up in my attempts the day before to show how to get a good grip on the broken cartridge.
PB Blaster, a cheap Walmart hook/pick tool that I was amazed with the day before, vise grips to grab that hook/pick tool for better grip, skinny screwdriver to allow some chipping away of plastic pieces, etc.
I gotta say, I would have never had the strength to be able to pull it out myself.
The strong tech continued trying tugging at the thing for a long time before he finally popped it out! Props to his endurance to be able to apply such strength repeatedly without fatiguing out!
Made sure everything got greased up the wazoo as the new cartridge went in to hopefully not have this kind of seizing again (but I am sure it will still seize up after 10 years or however long it lasts before seals wear out).
Got it done just under the 1 hour, whew!
Not cheap, but running a biz is not, so it was well worth it without resorting to call stronger folks like my bro, or my handyman uncle who lives an hour away, lol.
5 stars for the super nice biz owner and tech, understanding problem by phone, very professional to update on schedule, being available on weekend, etc.
3.5 stars on prep/readiness to tackle the problem. If I did not have the hook/pick tool that allowed getting a firm grip on the metal cylinder of the cartridge, it would have easily gone over an hour trying this or that. The heat method should have made this much less of a struggle, especially with the hook tool I had, maybe just needed a little bit of heat to loosen and pull out.
Either way, a very friendly and professional business available 7 days for your plumbing needs. Felt like family from start to finish, without bothering my own family members!

I had decided on a water softener due to all my fixtures and shower doors flaking up, and decided on a Pelican system. I called Kent as the Pelican distributor for the area and he showed up to discuss and quote that afternoon, and we scheduled for installation the next day. He was done in about three hours - great job and a good equipment+installation package. Highly recommend.

Carlos and his team are amazing. We recently purchased a new home and the water in Whittier was incredibly hard. We knew we needed a whole system which included a softener, reverse osmosis along with a hot water spout.
After calling and talking to about 6 different plumbers, I knew that Fina Water and Carlos' team were the right folks to stick with. They came in easily $1,200 cheaper than the next best option. Carlos did not try to upsell us on anything and he taught me a lot about what I might need along with how to compare the products on the market. He's a very trustworthy company owner and general contractor.
Karla, the plumber who came out to install the system was just as impressive. She was meticulous, cleaned up the entire workspace, and did an amazing job. She was super friendly, on time and very detailed with her work and guidance once the system was set up.
Carlos and Fina Water are the folks you want to settle with as your plumbers. I already did loads of research and cost comparisons for you so just pick him. He responded immediately and is a straight shooter and honest when it came to our setup. We did have a small water flow problem after setup because sediment had built up in the filter - this is normal as the soft water cleans out all the gunk. Carlos came out the next day and fixed it and also taught us how to clean it out ourselves just in case it happens again.
Don't get up sold by the competitors saying they have NASA parts, include a whole bunch of cleaning agents in their tanks, etc etc. all water softeners do the exact same thing and no point in paying thousands upon thousands for the exact same thing with a different logo on it.
If you do schedule Carlos, know that it might take 2-3 weeks as he has a lot of jobs at the moment. He's booked ahead of time for a good reason (see above) so be sure to plan accordingly for a 2 week wait. It's definitely worth it!
Call Carlos and just stop looking right now. 100%, our plumber for any future needs!! Thanks Carlos and Karla - you've made a family of new homeowners super satisfied and happy with your craftsmanship and work!

Tim is a very honest and genuine guy and he did an excellent job of installing the soft water unit. He was also knowledgeable in fixing other water issues we had. I highly recommend him and would work with him again in the future!

I recently gave Rayne a bad review because of an unusual cluster of problems but they made good on the situation, which I very much appreciate. They are truly a good company that cares about their customers. I have used them for decades and would recommend them. In this area, you HAVE to get your water softened or your pipes will soon deteriorate and your glassware will get etched in the dishwasher. Besides, you can cut your soap use in half because a little goes a long way.

Thomas and his team does amazing work. They are also very organized in their process - setting the appointment, reminders, and arriving on time, ready to get the job done. They are sensitive to keeping the home and their work area clean. Helpful, detailed, and kind. Thanks, Thomas!

I have been using Superior Plumbing for over 15 years and have never been disappointed. All of their plumbers are dependable and do top notch work. The types of work I've had done ranged from quite small to complicated jobs taking multiple days to complete.

The BEST water heater service in Mission Viejo/Lake Forest area!!! We had 6+ different companies who came to give us a quote. These guys gave us the lowest quote (we saved $600+), did an amazing job on the day we called! Didn't charge for moving the dryer, other companies charged $150 for that. I am so grateful to Connor and Josh! We can go back to hot showers and baths. Thank you!
