What a superb company. I called in for a water test and even though my system wasn't a Rayne Water system, they came out anyway!! John came out to inspect my water and even had the curiosity to check my system to ensure all looked well. He made some suggestion how to use my current system to see if that gets my water conditioned. John was so kind and informative went the extra mile to set the correct time on my unit. Their customer service is incredible and their prices for a new system is completely reasonable. Highly recommended, don't bother going anywhere else for the So Cal area... I cannot see another company being better than Rayne Water.

I loved the immediate sales representative response to my call and came to my house and assessed the water softener situation. He had excellent experience and explained everything that concerned our family specifically hearing our concerns about the environmental impact of water softener. We also were impressed that he didn't pressure us with rebates or time sensitive offers. He asked us to call him back for any questions or even return for further questions and answer session. After interviewing four other companies in person, I had just few questions left for Rayne Water with Tony. As soon as I called him back after three weeks later, he remembered me and came back the same day. He said he had another client in the area. Once he answered all of my new questions, we were convinced that Rayne Water had the best products with the best warranty and extremely competitive pricing. I love the fact that the stainless steel tank is lifetime warranty and electrical control is ten years guaranteed. I loved the installation which was done extremely fast and professionally. They took all of my old stuff and left the work area cleaned. I strongly recommend Rayne Water Softener.

Romarico came today to perform a system check-up on our tank. He was very friendly & knowledgeable. We told him that every time we run water there's a loud noise & he said it was the water pressure regulator & not the soft water tank. He got a screwdriver barely turned the regulator & noise stopped. Over the last 3 years we've had 2 plumbers tell us the noise was coming from air in pipes. We did everything & couldn't stop noise. He explained the way it works & he's wonderful for finally fixing the problem. Rayne, Romarico is an excellent employee.

I wanted a whole house water filter so I took a chance and filled out the online form.  Received a call right away.   Andy came over and we talked about the different systems.  He recommended the Spartan 1000.  It was just installed and we noticed a difference in our water right away!  The technician that came to install the system was so professional, super nice and really good at this job.  His plumbing work is top notch!  I'm just so happy with the experience from start to finish.  I highly recommend Rayne Water.

I called a few different water conditioning companies and found Rayne Water Conditioning to be well above the rest.  I found this right from the start as I had the pleasure of working with John to get the Rayne system set up at our house.  Outside of John's easy going nature and well spoken communication, I decided to take the plunge with Rayne because of their incredible introductory price.  Renting risk free with a monthly contract at extremely low introductory rates (and no disconnect fee in case you want to opt out) for the first few months with the option to buy afterwards  was an easy sell.  I was in a rush to get a system in our house asap because of some serious skin problems my baby boy was having.  John got us a relatively soon appointment (withing 4 days around the holidays).  

And then Romarico came by and did a fantastic job!  He even made a minor adjustment to one of our pipes to make sure the drain was properly secured with my washing machine.  He wanted to install the water conditioning system correctly, and to do so required making sure the washing machine connection was also properly secured.  I was there throughout the beginning of the installation and appreciated all the context he was providing me.  It was clear that Romarico was thorough in his work and he cleaned up extremely well after he left.

Water feels much softer and while my son's skin problems aren't completely gone, at the moment his skin seems much better than it was before.

I was very pleased with the quick response I received from Raynes after Cullligan blew off my appointment.  Tom came out to evaluate my water, Mike called me to set up my appt., and John S. did the install in a professional manner. Excellent positioning, clean plumbing, and gave me a clear overview of what I needed to know. I was impressed with how thorough the whole process was.  It turned out to be a good thing that Culligan didn't come thru as I am very happy with Raynes.

I have been using Rayne Water Conditioning for   20+ years and this is the first time the plumbing has ever leaked.  John K. came this afternoon to fix it.  He spent all the time it would take in order to make sure the leak was fixed and my water could be turned back on without any issues.  He was honest, showed up on time, respected my property and even helped me to understand more about plumbing.  Thank you, John for all your help!

Best decision we could have made. There was no high pressure sales tactic with John and he answered all of our questions.  Install of our system was perfect.  Romarico did an amazing job. He was polite and incredibly thorough. He actually left our garage cleaner than when he got there. I would definitely recommend Rayne. The entire process was great and easy.

Put in soft water system awhile ago.  Apparently, after some time, the internal system melts and clogs.  This causes the whole house's water supply to be reduced.  Had to pay hundreds of dollars to repair (it shouldn't melt and clog in the first place)  Paid in full, yet they keep recharging.  It's disappointing that additional bills are sent when paid in full.  Very offensive that they won't send a written confirmation balance is 0 when asked multiple times.

I was with them for 5 years, They raised their price over and over again. I had them on auto-pay through my bank but they would lose payments. Then I had to deal with their office staff that was rude and would talk over me. That was the last straw. Switched to Culligan dropped my monthly bill from $72 to $52. Do NOT do business with this company!

Rayne Water Conditioning showed up yesterday 1/22/22 to do the install of a Spartan 1250 whole house water filter, and they did a great job!

Refugio who was the Rayne Installer was very professional and an expert with copper pipe, he did a very clean install, and he was very courteous.

We had a new installation of a Rayne water softener system yesterday. The system was set by the installer to regenerate the resin bed. The water continued to run for 10 hours before it was noticed. I turned the cutoff valve to bypass and called Rayne first thing this morning. Promptly a service technician, Refugio, came and quickly identified the source of the problem. The original installer had mistakenly crossed the electric power wires causing the transformer to burn out. Within an hour of my call, Refugio had remedied the
problem and the system was now functioning correctly. I would like to commend Refugio who was polite, extremely competent and a credit to his company. Refugio is a five star employee. The original installer, not so much on skill or competence, hence docked one star.

After having brown water appear in my drinking water, I contacted Rayne (my preferred soft-water company) and was rewarded with prompt service and an explanation.  (POX on a city that has pipes as old as it is, which does not help the situation.)  The serviceman changed out a few pieces of the connection, and left a note to the delivery person of how best to handle each tank replacement.  The service was great, the timing was decent, and I am once again a happy water-imbibing client!  Congratulations to others who are smart enough to use this service!

I had been a loyal on time paying customer to rayne water for 22 years for my Banquet facility. Prior to me having this MAJOR issue with rayne water which prompted me to leave them, I would have given them 5 stars. The reason for myself, the owner of the business to leave after 22 years was I noticed about 2 weeks ago the glassware and silverware was coming out of our dish washer VERY spotty and a film of cloudyness to the glasses and silverware. I called our Dishwasher company and they came out the following day, and told us we had hard water and that the Rayne water conditioner unit was not working. I called rayne water and spoke to a lady who told me that they were very busy and they could not come out until a week to 10 days and to check back with them. I told her that was completely un acceptable, What was I going to do with washing my glasses with no salt? I told her i was  a customer for 22 years and this is the service I receive when YOUR unit shuts down. She put carlos on the phone and he told me he would call me the next day to check his schedule and schedule me in as soon as they could that day. The call never came. I called them again and  I was told some one would call me to schedule the appointment. The call NEVER came. At this point I was completely fed up with them. I called another company and spoke to a employee, and she came out the next day on time and gave me my estimate and i signed the papers with them. She told me they could install it it 2 days. I called rayne water and told then I would not need their services any more, I was going to another company. NEVER did the lady there ever ask why i was leaving after 22 years, just said they would be out in 2 days to take the unit away. REALLY???? A total breakdown in customer service at rayne. It would take you 7 to 10 days to fix the unit, but 2 days to come to my banquet hall to remove it ??? Please explain that ?? My staff and myself have been hand washing the glasses and silver ware in a special solution that my dishwashing company provided for me. The new unit is in working great. Rayne water you let me down when I most needed you, SHAME on you! Even the 2 employees you sent out to remove the unit aplogized when I told them why i was leaving after 22 years. I thanked them for that. To the owner of rayne water, I suggest you and your company learn some customer service, I didn't recieve any when I most needed you.

We used to have a water softener but we weren't quite happy.  I Called Rayne Water Conditioning because they have great Yelp reviews.  John came to evaluate our house on the next day.  Then Refugio and Carlos came to install the system.  They both are very professional.  highly recommend Rayne to my family and friends or whoever need a soft water service.  Make sure you request John, Refugio and Carlos.

They arrived on time.  I had two resin water softener tanks installed.
The copper tubing they installed for the water softener was better than most plumbers I've seen soldering. The did a really clean job and the installers where both really nice guys.  
As far as the soft water it's just on the hot side so it's hard to tell if they working yet but I'll follow up with some tests in a few days.
I would recommend them.

We purchased a water softener directly from Rayne and it worked as expected for a couple of years. We started having issues which is expected from any product after several years; called Rayne and they sent a technician out to fix the issue.

He was able to fix the issue but now we get an error code. We had to pay another $150 for another technician to come out and push a couple of buttons to reset it; something that should of been in the owners manual or online. It's been a couple of months and our water softener still doesn't work at all.

I DO NOT reccomend Rayne in Irvine, their customer service is horrible. They pretty much told us we just have to keep paying the $150 to have a tech come out or buy a new system.

Tony Otero was very accommodating and informative. After our first 17 years system with another company who was unable to provide parts to fix their system gave us a ridiculously pricey estimate along with a long delay to install it, Tony and Rayne Irvine gave me a great price, installed in just a few days and the install crew was  great. Masked and cleaned it up. I am very pleased.

We've worked with Rayne over the last 4 years and their service is always top notch. Richard is the gentleman who services our home and we are very lucky to have him! He's always friendly while remaining the utmost professional. He knows I work from home and we have 3 ankle biters who love to announce when someone is at the door. A lot of the time I'm on a video call and it takes me a few minutes to get to the door and he's always so patient. He even makes sure to step away from the front door so my little ankle biters don't disturb me with all the barking while on my calls. It's people like Richard who retain clients like me. The little things go a long way. You never know what your customer is experiencing.

Just had Rayne Water of Irvine install a water softener system. The installation Techs Andrew and Refugio did a great job installing our new system. The install took about 5 hours. They cleaned up well after their job duties. They were nice and pleasant. I highly recommend doing business with them. Now let's see how this soft water system works for me in the future.....

I have a mobile auto detailing business and have a deionized water tank hooked up in my garage. Customer service is fine and they schedule delivery next day. Options for this type of water are slim to none and they were much cheaper then the next provider.

Rayne Irvine installed my reverse osmosis system in 2016.  Don't remember what I paid, no doubt over $1,000.  Worked fine.  I also had them change my filters in 2019.  Probably paid $3-400 for that work.  Also fine.  The filters need changing again.  Fine.  That's the way these systems work.

But, even though I'm an existing customer who's paid them maybe $1,500 over the last 6 years, Rayne won't do the new filter work unless I pay them a $200 service fee just to show up (which would be on top of whatever they would charge in parts and labor to do the actual work).  I asked what that was for.  I was told gas was expensive.  When I told them that I lived 4 miles and a 10 minute drive from their office, they then told me that they hadn't raised their rates in a while, so the service fee was to also cover that.  I told them that I was insulted and would not be extorted (my word).

Anyway, if this is how they take care of existing long time customers, imagine how they'll figure out how to gouge new ones!  Not happy, but I'll figure it out and get someone else to change the filters.

I had a competitor water softener system for a number of years. I had nothing but problems with their delivery people disrespectful of my property. I switched to Rayne and couldn't be happier. The system is basically identical with a smaller footprint, and provides exactly the same soft water and protection to my pipes. The salesperson was exceptionally professional and pricing was more than competitive.  Glad I made the switch to Rayne.

I was looking for a water softener + water conditioner.  Carlos at Rayne took care of me from the minute I walked into their office to sample their water.

I had lots of questions and Carlos answered all of them.  I had a new construction home and I was hesitant plopping $$$$ on a system that may or may not be reliable.  I read lots of reviews all over the internet over all the things that could potentially go wrong if a water softener is not installed properly.  I was referred to Rayne because they had a rent OR own option.  

Renting for 3 months helps give me the peace of mind that my product will be in working order after the installation.  The majority of the problems with a softener is a couple of months after the install.  If I am 100% satisfied with the system I can continue renting OR I can pay the remainder and keep the unit.  Or I can return the unit.  

Rayne also has an excellent warranty program.  I know they are not the cheapest company out there but I factor in customer service and warranty.  Hands down, Rayne wins.

I waited 20 years to get a softener system, and finally got one from Rayne that I'm super happy with.  I just remodeled my master bathroom, and wanted to get soft water to keep the shower area looking nice.
Refugio Padilla was the installer for the system.  He was very friendly and did an excellent job of putting the system in.  
I am very satisfied with the soft water that I'm getting, and am happy that I chose to go with Rayne.  I chose portable exchange softening - and I was very happy that Rayne carries a tank that is shorter in size, so it hides nicely away from view against the side of my house.

Long story short, Andrew Grant is the guy you want for follow up service. We had him talk us through how to change the filters. He was willing to explain everything step by step, gave us his personal cell, and left a few simple gadgets to help us in the future. Amazing customer service and he made everything right when I was about to give up with trying to get someone out here to make sure everything was connected correctly. The 5-Stars are really just for him.
    We have had our filter for almost a month now, installed initially by an older service member from Rayne. He did not walk us through how to change out the filter and it was against company policy for him to hook up InstaHot water systems that were owner purchased. I won't get into too many details but we made a couple scheduled appointments and Rayne never showed up or gave us a courtesy call to reschedule. I understand people/companies are busy. I'll leave it at that.
    Anyway, thank you Andrew for making things right. Andy Pabalan also was good too for working over the weekend initially to get us quotes.

Be aware I had a complete blockage of my entire home plumbing system due to the Rayne water softener installed and serviced by Rayne, failing.  Their system sent little resin balls into each and every fixture in my home completely clogging my house and causing me to have to spend $1350 in plumbing contractor charges just to have water in my house again.  The response from Rayne to my disaster was they would charge me $125 to recondition the tank that failed and then said it probably won't happen again.
If you do business with them, you've been warned.

We did lots of research on water softeners, water filters, and plumbing companies before calling Rayne, and Rayne's products and company are as fabulous as we had hoped. We originally chose Rayne because we liked their products.  I highly recommend calling them, not just for their products but also for their people and company!  We were lucky to have John from Rayne, he is awesome, so very patient, thorough, informative, experienced, knowledgable, and helpful! We had a plumber at our house from a different company previously, he told us we couldn't do a water softener because there was no drain.  John told me we have options, even if we don't have a drain, but he can look around because he is very good at finding places to put a softener and finding drains, and he is! He found the best place, we are so happy!  John tested our water, it was well into the highest range on the hardness scale, which didn't surprise me because of the white residue I could see and feel on our dishwasher, dishes, and shower door.  John went over the different options of products and how it all worked and what water where would be softened (not exterior), etc.  The install went super smoothly, that person was also awesome (I'm sorry I don't remember his name), he informed me what to expect and showed me by laying the equipment out how it would look before installing it, just to make sure there were no surprises and we were on the same page.  He happily answered more questions I had about a RO filter we were thinking of too. Their installers only work for Rayne and have worked there a long time, another indication of them being a great company.  Now that our softener is in, our dishes are beautiful, our dishwasher is back to being grey inside rather than a powdery feeling, white looking color. Our shower doors sparkle, all our plumbing fixtures look great with no longer having white residue, my hair appreciates it too.  Most importantly I know it's great for our instant hot water heaters, and other mechanicals.  It went so well, I did call Rayne again about the RO filter that we discussed with John and the installer, and I had read more about it.  John was here once again right away, he gave me more information on Reverse Osmosis and showed me great options for locations, based on my previous discussions with them I knew we wanted to put a hole in our stone counter, which John coordinated and scheduled the same morning just before they install the RO filter.  Great thing about the filters on the RO system, is that they only have to be replaced every 2 years, and another component every 5 years, which is better then other units I have had in a previous home.  And it's as easy as just calling Rayne when the time comes.  I really like how easy the water softener and RO filter are to maintain and how well it is all set up, very easy to use!  On the softener it has made such an obvious improvement around our house, and the system hasn't used much softener pellets at all, also much better than our previous water softeners we have had in other homes. When John visited us for the RO filter he tested our water, it was soft, the lowest level on the hardness scale now that the softener is installed.  He also tested the particulates in our water, over 500 is above EPA limits, and ours is at 407, which is high. I look forward to bringing that number down once the RO filter is installed, and knowing that my family and pets are drinking the best water!

Amazing customer service! Had to have a larger job done today. We moved and had to have our RO system relocated from our old home to our new. Carlos came on time and did a fantastic job at both homes. He was thorough and answered all of my questions. We moved to a new house and the first thing we did was call Rayne Water in Irvine to get a water softener and whole house filter installed.  Our previous house had a Rayne Water softener that functioned perfectly for 15 years.  The plumber who installed the new system was a pro and did everything perfectly. The value is there and the service behind their product is there.  There are few companies I would do this for, Rayne Water in Irvine is one of them.  Thanks again.

The biggest joke for customer service.  I called 3 times to set up automatic payments.  As I was guaranteed 3 times prior that it wouldn't be a problem going forward.  Today I received a letter saying my bill was now 60 days past due.  How incompetent can you be!  To add insult to injury,  the woman I spoke too all 3 times, on the 3rd call asked me who I spoke to previously, I told her I didn't get the woman's name.  She then tells me We'll I'm the only person in billing. So why ask me a stupid loaded question, how about own up to your short falls.  I'll be canceling service shortly.  Apparently my money isn't good enough here.

I have been using Rayne water conditioning service for 22 years. I just had all the equipment pulled because they can not seem to get their billing straight. They don't process payments or credits and at this point I don't feel safe dealing with them. I also find it questionable as to wether or not the tanks were working. They have told me they adjusted my balance and I repeatedly get bills from their second party billing company that bill me for randomly high bills that don't reflect what they say on the phone.

This an update to my previous 5 star review.
Now that I have had this for some time, I have had nothing but trouble with their billing practices and office staff!
Totally rude people in their billing department and god forbid you should ask for a statement of services!!!
They are real good about sending bills but will not verify if they did the service. WTF???
According to them, it is my job to verify if I got service or not and they send me a bill no matter what.
I was literally yelled at by Phoenix in the billing department for even asking.
Water is good and the drivers are great.
Management needs to fix the office!!!!

I had done business with Rayne in Northern California many years ago and had a great experience. When it was time to add a RO and water conditioning system to our home in Dana Point, I knew who I was going to call. The Irvine location services my area. Their employees have decades of experience and are very professional! Romarico and Refugio installed our new conditioning system. They actually arrived a bit early and performed the install efficiently and professionally completing the process by cleaning up everything when finished. They made sure to explain how to operate the system and what to expect before leaving. I'm very pleased with their team and my new system!

Ok so I rarely don't write review until I have dealt with the company/restaurant a few months or years. I am giving Rayne 1 start because they have the worst employees working there...... it's so disappointing. I have been speaking with Jesicca for months now and she knows NOTHING is what it seems like!!! She promises me a bunch of bull crap and she never follows through!!!! My delivers get missed .. why you make ask??? How about we call Jesicca and see what other excuse she gives me at this point I am owed months of missed deliveries.... I have also spoken to a gentleman in their and he has no idea what's going on and send me over to Jesicca again ??????!!!!! They tell me they will come one day and they don't... she tells me she will give me credit to try and fix all this and she just keeps crediting my account but I am FED UP!!!! This company is the worst........ please hire people that know what they are doing... she has been their for months because every time I call I speak to her come on now!!!! If you don't pay attention to your deliveries these people will never deliver but will charge you.... What a joke man!!!

I would give them 0 star if possible. they are a SHADY company. on the invoice it states they bill forward for the month but when you speak to the billable person they say they bill the month back. They refuse to updated that on their invoices and rather explain over the phone.  do not use them. go find another business that has clear black and white billing on the invoice!!! we have been a customer with them for 12 plus years. This is how they treat loyal customers. look for another company that has clear invoicing and better customer service.

We pay each month for the water softener rental. We don't see any real difference in our water. At the time of signing up, we were never advised there would be a monthly exchange every month, and since our unit is in our garage, we need to be home to let them in. Last month they exchanged the unit, but never turned it on. I noticed the water spots on our dishes and shower, it's been like that for a while, so I don't know if this unit helps with the water spots. We asked for a credit for the month the unit was never turned on, and they only agreed to 50% credit. Customer service is not so good. The techs are friendly, that's about all I can say about this company.
I would not recommend Rayne water.

We just had the Rayne water softener/conditioning and LINX drinking systems installed and couldn't be happier! John was a complete professional, was very knowledgeable and was not pushy.  Also, my husband didn't need to be present to schedule an appointment (like some of their competitors). They have a great product, great pricing (they don't spend a lot of money on marketing), so they don't need to be. The product sells itself. They also offer affordable rental and buying solutions, so you can try before you buy, or just rent.

Our installers were Remarico and Refugio and they were amazing! They were also very professional and knowledgeable about the products and got our systems up and running in no time and cleaned up after themselves.

We are very happy with both systems and highly recommend them! :)

It has been a year now with Rayne and still thrilled with the quality of our water and customer service.  We enjoy our soft water system and it's reasonably priced.  But the big gratification is the RO system that Carlos installed for us.  Never had an issue from the start and just had him change our filters (even though the TDS only read 18 after 1 year of heavy usage!).  I am a bit obsessed with low TDS water that not only tastes fantastic but gives piece of mind my family is drinking water that is free from toxins.

When I called to schedule service, Caitlin really took care of me.  Worked within my availability and called me when Carlos was 15 min away.  She is very kind and just a pleasure to work with.

Used to be a good company to work with when I bought the RO system and the softener in 2021. However, I called this week to request changing the filters for the RO system. The rep on the phone had an attitude and said it would cost $500+ to change the filters if they send someone to do it. Instead, we could buy all 4 filters for $320 and do it ourselves. We did. First of all, I think that's a ripoff. Our friend's RO company charges them $150 for filter changes (including the filters). Also, how do you expect/trust customers to change filters on their own without any training provided? Now we are stuck with the $1000 RO system that cannot change the filters. Not to mention they sold us a 2012 model in 2021, which was identified just this week. Also, they charge $150 for every service call even thought the last technician came over tested our water and said the softener was fine. The whole trip was 5 min and it was $150 for nothing.

Short version of this review: lousy company to do business with.  Long version: I was a customer of theirs for over 10 years. Used their rental service for both my primary and secondary homes, $53/mo and $40/mo respectively. Sold both and moved into a new home recently. Called them to start service and they refused to extend me the $10/Mo for 3 Months Rental Special since, according to the lady who answered the phone, I had already been a customer and the special would only apply to a new customer. I told her this was for a brand new address so should be treated as a new account/customer. She checked with her GM and basically said No. So I stated that someone else in my household could have made the call and they would have never known. She simply said True, but now we know. So I asked her to put me through to her GM. Wanted to hear that directly from a him. He didn't answered. Left him a voicemail  that basically said OK, so you don't want to give me the rental special, but surely there must be something you can do to accommodate a loyal customer. Never heard back from the  guy. I contacted Culligan the next day about their Rental Service. Much better experience. Prompt, professional, courteous, and act like they want and value your business. Best of all: $9.95 per month for 4 months and then $23 per month. Bottom line: Rayne is expensive and they don't value your business. I over-paid for over 10 years and got no special accommodations whatsoever.

No more bottled waters!  

I consulted with 2 other companies before deciding to go with Rayne.  My contact, John, was very upfront and answered all of my questions.  It was zero pressure, which I appreciated.  We decided to go with a whole house soft water system as well as a reverse osmosis system for drinking water under the sink.  Our installers, Carlos and Refugio, were awesome!  They bypassed 2 of our hoses in the backyard, installed the filter in the exact place that I requested and even hooked up our refrigerator water spout to the reverse osmosis system.  They also came back the following week to install a spout to match our brush nickel sink and fixed a leaky pipe under my sink :)  I can definitely tell the difference the soft water is doing for our skin and laundry and I love that we don't have to buy gallons of bottled water anymore.  Thank you again to John, Reguio and Carlos for all your help and hard work... my family can't thank you enough!

Everyone should read this if you are getting service from this company...My family has been getting IMPETIGO for years and we thought it was from the ocean until our family members came to our house ,and took a shower and got impetigo with in an hour on her chin ,when that happened we all new it was the shower water and sometimes the tanks make the water smell like rotten eggs or sewer water needless to say ,rayne water in irvine has very very very dirty tanks ...And are very unhealthy and i pay for this plus all my dr. visits for years ... finally going to get this s... out of my house    beware this company is terrible.  and charges  a ton of money for dirty tanks!!!!  they do not care ,

Beware of their charges as they are unable to properly manage their billing/accounting.  I had the Rayne system removed from my house 4 months ago as I did not like the system.  The technician removed the system and I paid him with a credit card and received a receipt.  4 months later someone from Rayne came to my house and announced that he was here to collect payment.  I told him that I had the system removed 4 months ago so there was nothing for me to pay.  He rudely insisted that I pay him.  I told him that I paid after the service was done so there was nothing more that I need to pay him.  He shows up again later with another man to further intimidate me for payment.  If there was an issue with payment, then why wait 4 months?  It should have been addressed immediately.  I checked with my credit card company and it appears that they did not charge my credit card 4 months ago.  It was the incompetence of Rayne that they did not run my card through for payment and they show up at my house to harass me 4 months later as if I was in the wrong?  (BTW there was nothing wrong with my credit card.  The charges would have gone through flawlessly.)  However, I did not know at the time as I did not check if they properly charged me.  That is not my responsibility.  I received a receipt so I assumed the technician took care of it after the system removal, which I believe is a standard practice.  My point is that they are substandard and unprofessional, and instead of accepting blame for their own incompetence and ignorance they will harass and intimidate you by showing up at your house unexpectedly.  They did recently charge my credit card for the amount that they failed to charge 4 months ago but this was after they wasted my time to look into the issue and harassed/intimidated me at my house twice.  I do not wish upon any customer, potential customer, former customer to receive the poor treatment that I received from this unprofessional entity.  Of course they did not offer a formal apology for their oversight and the anguish they caused me as they are an unethical company.

I have been using Rayne for 6 months for their portable exchange water softener system. Every month the tank gets replaced like clock-work and I don't even need to be home. I have had zero issues and everything has been seamless. Having soft water and not even having to think about it has been wonderful. All my direct contact has been with Don, and from the initial meeting to service check-ins, all my experience with him has been stellar.

So disappointed in the lack of customer service from this branch. I'd definitely look for alternatives before going with this company. Now that it's installed it might be more annoying to have it removed.
The one star is for good water quality.
The sales person who gave us the consultation was nice and friendly too. From there it all went downhill.
Then the technician didn't install everything properly and I had to call 3 times over the course of the next ten days to finally get someone out to finish the install. When the second guy came to finish the job, we asked about having the knob face the opposite direction and he said he'd come back because he didn't have the tools for it at that time - there was no followup on this and he did not come back.
Our contract included the first 2 months of service free and random months over the next year also free.
After the first month of service I got a bill and was being charged for the first month of service that I was told would be free.
After the second month of service I got a bill and was still being charged for the second month that I was told would be free.
I called customer service again and they said they would look into it. The next time I spoke with them they said that the burden of proof would be in me and that I would have to show them my contract that indicated that the first 2 months would be free. So I did.
They told me to ignore the charges for the first two months and just pay the installation fee. So I asked if there was a way to set up automatic billing which is probably not a good idea looking at their service track record. They confirmed my email and said they would send ma a link to setup recurring online payments.

The salesperson Donnie was wonderful.  He was knowledgeable and explained why our water is so hard in our area and why such a chemical smell and taste. He was very easygoing and not pushy at all. I was amazed at how quickly a technician was able to come install our system.  I had to work in my room while he installed it and was patient even as I had to get off my call to answer the door. The product is amazing! Earlier this year it was frustrating trying to go to multiple stores ro find bottled water and brita filters were always out of stock. Now I am relieved I have water coming from my sink that even tastes better than that bottled water and is safe to drink and even when cooking, way better to use! I am so thankful I found them.

I initially met with David who was very professional and friendly. Also, there was no high pressure sales pitch. He went out of his way to meet with me after work hours; the only time I was available. I opted for the portable exchange service in lieu of installing a traditional water softener due to space constraints. I have a very narrow garage and a traditional water softener would take up too much room for my liking. Also, with the portable exchange service, you never have to worry about buying / adding salt. They do it all for you. The installation took about 2 hours. I just had my first delivery 2 weeks ago. I was concerned about granting access to my garage while I'm away but it went off without a hitch. A Rayne representative called me to inform me that the service tech was at my garage ready to exchange the spent water softener tank for a new one. I was able to use my smart garage door opener and open my garage remotely. A few minutes later, the same Rayne rep called me to tell me the tech was done and I closed the garage. Done! Easy as that! This is my first time having soft water in my home and I love it.

I have been a customer for over 17 years paying $54 per month to not have hard water issues in my house.  Recently my showers started to constantly drip and I had to get a plumber to come out and fix it.  The problem was due to hard water build up in my diverter which cost me over $700 to fix.  We then looked at my other bathrooms and each one had hard water deposits all over the water spouts.  The sales pitch to me 17 years ago was you will ruin your pipes and showers if you do not get soft water service.  

I have been on the phone with them to get re-imburshed for this expense but have not gotten an answer yet.  Meanwhile, I have asked the competition to come out and look at my situation and each of them has told me I should have two tanks due to my water usage not one.  In addition, they are cheaper than Rayne Water for monthly service with two tanks.  If Rayne steps up and pays for my expenses I will adjust my rating accordingly, if they do not I will be forced to move my business elsewhere.

The General manager called me and said they will not provide any compensation for my out of pocket costs associated with the hard water deposit.  He offered a weekly service at $20 off per month which is unacceptable.  He also said it is the customers responsibility to monitor their hard water.  Amazing!  Cancelled service and moved to a competitor for $40 per month and double the capacity.  Look elsewhere people for this type of service

I had Rayne water systems back in 1995. Then I moved and didn't think I needed a water system until 2016. I shouldn't have waited so long. So nice to have soft water again. And I feel like I'm protecting my water pipes as well since I have the second tank that helps with that. Super easy since they install a lock on your garage door and then the service person can open your garage and replace your tank without even bothering you. I love this service and would recommend to my friends.

Highly recommend Rayne Water for amazing soft water!  We've used them for years and recently moved. They seamlessly removed and installed the systems in our rental homes and John (the installer) was prompt, courteous and professional.

I received a proposal from John Bendickson to install their system in my home. John seemed like a nice/honest  guy, that's why I signed a contract to do business with him. When their installers arrived to do the job, John called and said his manager wants another $500 for running the water lines through the attic. The problem is, this was discussed in detail, there was even a line item increase in price  to run the lines through the attic. So I was pissed when he told me that they couldn't do the job unless I paid them $500 more. I explained to him that we have a signed agreement to do the work as described for a certain price and that they should honor it. John Bendickson agreed and told me he would have another discussion with his manager. Then he called me back about five minutes later and said, no they would only do the job if I paid the extra $500 and he said it is out of his hands and his manager, John Sutton, makes the final decision. I asked him to have his manager, John call me to discuss this issue. John never called.  I am leaving this review of Rayne so everyone else can be aware of the bait and switch tactics this company uses.  I wanted to use them because their price was better than everyone else's, but then once they showed up, they tried to gouge me.  I would not recommend using this company.  I've attached a picture of our agreement to show that I am being honest, you can see they charged me extra for the ice lines and the description of work is exactly what we agreed upon and what I was wanting. I can't believe these guys would allow their business reputation to be damaged over something as simple as this.

Special note: I want to highlight how helpful and professional David was during the quoting and selling process. My wife and I had called and vetted over 10 water softening providers in our area before we made our final decision. We tried for months to get Rayne to install a water softener.  Because the home is in Huntington Landmark a permit from the city of Huntington Beach was required.  Rayne expected my 94 year old mother to get the permit from the city and then get it approved by the HOA committee before they would start the job.  How in the world is a 94 year woman supposed to know how to get a permit?  When any other construction job requires a permit, the contractor is responsible for the permit and approvals.  We finally told them to forget it.  Extremely disappointed!

We rent our system from Rayne and today we had an emergency service issue where an inept plumber turned off our water and blamed the Rayne equipment.  Jessica in the office calmly helped me turn off the Rayne equipment and had Andre Grant technician at our house in hours.  So so thankful for their follow up and care!  Can't recommend this company and their people enough!

I did a lot of research on water softening systems. Make no mistake about it, you cannot soften water without salt. Do not listen to those commission salesmen from other companies who try to talk you into something that does it all in one.

I've had this machine for a year now. It's been a workhorse with no issues. Had one minor problem that came up. Made a phone call. Came out very quickly. They sent their amazing representative John K who was quick and efficient. He solved the problem in no time. A true expert in the industry.

I highly recommend this company for their product, service, and their aftercare.

I recently gave Rayne a bad review because of an unusual cluster of problems but they made good on the situation, which I very much appreciate.  They are truly a good company that cares about their customers.  I have used them for decades and would recommend them.  In this area, you HAVE to get your water softened or your pipes will soon deteriorate and your glassware will get etched in the dishwasher.  Besides, you can cut your soap use in half because a little goes a long way.

From start to finish, Rayne (Tom came to my house to assess, Romanico did the job) did a great job. I sent in a request on their website, Tom contacted me same day, and came out the next. Got on the schedule, and in about a week I now have a Defender 1500 installed (I purchased it from them outright).

I had to dig a trench, but wasn't sure if I could do it (Concrete involved, and gravel) but Romanico stepped up with a pickaxe.

In the end, hardly any visible piping (done in good copper), shown how the system works, how to maintain it, set up with the brine tank filled with salt, and I'm a happy camper. Looking forward to a soft water shower, because Brea's got some SERIOUSLY hard water.

Good people, good pricing, great service.

The water softener doesn't last for more than 2 weeks, they charge almost $50/month for only 2 people. we have to keep tuning off the soft water every day because it does not last and turn it on again if want to take showers etc..
However, the worst part is the customer service on Irvine, this woman Phoenix knows nothing but scream at customers when asked or a concern.
I would stay away from this company. Not professional.

What started as a C ended with an A :-). I originally did business with Rayne when I bought my 1st home in Las Flores back in 1999.  We rented a system. After 2  1/2 yrs we bought a bigger home in Ladera Ranch so we decided to buy a system for the new home.  Never having any issues, one day we discovered what looked like snow surrounding the bottom of both tanks. Apparently a leak somewhere.  I called and the person that answered the phone said it would be a $100 service call to check it out.  I had been a customer a long time and I didn't want to pay $100 just to be told I needed a new system etc even if the $100 did go towards the purchase, maybe I didn't want to purchase another system yet.  He didn't offer any other suggestions so instead, I did. This is why I give them a C to begin with. I didn't feel there was any extra effort or help up until this point and had I not made my suggestion, I would have agreed to the $100 appointment or been in my way.

I asked if I could take a picture of what was happening and email it. If they could tell by the picture what was wrong maybe we could avoid sometime unnecessary charges and wasted time. If they couldn't I would agree to the charge.  He agreed and I sent the pics.  

I received a prompt call back and he informed me he was sending his Salesman John, that was very experienced and lived nearby to come take a look free of charge.  John called, came out promptly, was very knowledgeable and discovered the plastic salt tank was defective and ordered me a new one. I did need to pay the $100 so it was covered by my warranty but I was fine with that.  Andrew made sure everything was handled and John followed up promptly to make sure everything went as planned.  Had John or Andrew answered the phone I think my entire experience would have been an A+.  Still, I would highly recommend them.

They explained what would be done, what my options were, brought to my attention anything that needed a decision, moved everything out of the way, installed perfectly (every angle was clean and no odd gaps), and cleaned up after it was done. I had many options to choose where I purchase my
soft water from but chose Rayne in terms of price, quality of product , and superior customer service from, notably their sales rep. John Bendickson. He followed up on any questions I had and was helpful even after installation. The only thing I would suggest is when the installers come, have them install the PVC drain pipe inside the garage rather than outside which can be aesthetically unsightly as it can be seen from the curb. I believe when you buy a water softener system, what's equally important is the level of customer service. There is a noticeable difference in my water now. My skin is not as itchy and the soft water feels good. I recommended it to my brother-in-law and he too is happy as well. He told me his family loves the feeling of the
soft water they won't get out of the shower.... umm I had to remind him we're in a drought...lol

We have had Rayne Water for over three years.  Just wanted to give a shout out for our delivery man, Alejandro.  He has done our route for most of time.  He and the company have never missed a delivery.  they do a great job.  We had their competitor for many years before that and had problems with missed deliveries and bottles that were not fully emptied of brine.  Never had a problem with Rayne, and they were competitive with pricing.

I am so happy with their customer service
Also many companies recommended to get the whole house water pipe change but rayne was the only company who was honest and informed me that it was not necessary to change the whole pipe line which saved me couple thousand dollars
I am very satisfied with their service
This is the probably the best thing you can have if you own a home in OC
I have noticed in OC the water is very very hard
It leaves water mark no matter what you do
After the installation of water conditioner
Our house has no water mark in the showers nor anywhere
I highly recommend this to everyone

I had them installed in my new home.  They were charging me 50 a month.  Once installed, they never came to house.  I did not have salt for 1 and 1/2 years, yet no one checked it.  
They promised me every three months they would delivered salt.  They did not (I was not charged).  They need to suggest.
I basically paid 1200 for nothing for 2 years.

Terrible customer service.  I would not recommend anyone.
