Mr. Winters was very kind and attentive as I explained our troubles with two different toilets. He offered several options for solving our problems with both and was willing to explain it all again to my husband over the phone. He was honest, thorough, and conservative with his solutions, never pressuring us into unnecessary purchases. We will definitely call him with all future plumbing repairs and evaluations.

We are so pleased with our new water softener and reverse osmosis drinking water system Cooper's Water Conditioning installed! They came out quickly, tested our water, and gave us a quote which was less expensive than other companies for the same or similar equipment. They scheduled the install to fit our schedule. Paul the installer called to let us know he was coming exactly when he said he would be at our house. Paul was fast, efficient, and installed both the water softener and reverse osmosis water system perfectly. When he was done he cleaned everything very nicely. He walked us through everything we needed to know before he left. The price was exactly as they quoted. We could not be more pleased with the entire system which was installed! Thank you.

We rely on Hope Plumbing to keep our mid-century house in good running order. It's like finding a skilled mechanic you can trust--you want to keep a relationship with professionals like these. Jeremy Fox knows our house and is happy to explain things and share good advice with us. He's the best! Thanks, Jeremy and Hope, for being there and being so great to work with.

A simple task of replacing faucets turned into needing to call in the professionals. I reached out on Yelp over the weekend and received a timely response. Communication was excellent; I was actually quite impressed with the level of communication. Received a quote for the work in the morning and they were available in the afternoon to complete the job. Mark Lambert arrived and got right to work. He completed the job very fast and was thorough. He cleaned up after he was complete. I've been looking for a reliable plumber for a while and so glad I found this company. Thank you!!

Over the last few months, my furnace has become an ongoing saga. While it's only 5-6 years old, the simple truth is it's had more than a few issues. While I believed that I had the issues resolved when the blower motor was replaced a couple months ago, I continued to have issues with a fan that simply wouldn't turn off and was massively driving up my utility bills.
I replaced the thermostat with the help of the company that replaced the blower motor, though their opinion was that a control board was likely needed. Since they'd generously offered to install the thermostat for a relatively slight fee, it was agreed that we'd see if the thermostat might help the issue.
Of course, it didn't.
I had the feeling that I needed a second opinion. I don't know why, but I just kind of felt like something was being missed. I had a friend whose ordinary heating person agreed to come look at it, but he never followed through.
So, finally, on a sick day I opted to jump on Yelp and look at some reviews. Early in the morning on a Friday, I contacted a couple companies that offer the get an estimate option. While Chapman's listing didn't offer a fast response, I added them to the list and, in fact, they were the first to respond and it was within minutes.
Due to the complexities of my explanation, they recommended I call in and talk to their scheduling person. I did. I actually talked to two people - both super friendly and helpful. The diagnostic fee was explained up front, at $98, and it was explained that even though I was pretty sure I knew the issue that this was standard to ensure nothing was missed.
While the fee struck me a bit high, I will also note I'd foolishly tossed their discount/coupon that they regularly include in neighborhood mailings. So, that was on me.
I also really just wanted a fresh set of eyes on the furnace and they offered to come by that afternoon between 1-5pm.
At around 2pm, the technician showed up. He was friendly and professional. He took some time to look, weighed what I had said and then found the real problem that, in the end, saved me quite a bit of money. It was a matter of one wire being placed in the wrong location.
That simple. Once that wire was moved? No fan issues or anything. Perfection. No control board was needed.
I learned that Chapman regularly deals with Bryant systems, the same brand as mine, and I also liked that this tech took the time to actually explain things in understandable detail. He called his service manager to make sure charging only the diagnostic fee was fine, but it was clear the intent was to say You don't need a new part. This fixes it.
I was impressed with their timeliness, their honesty, and the fact that after a couple months of being advised in a different direction that the tech truly did some diagnostics and found the issue by thinking outside the box. I liked that he considered my feedback, but trusted his own expertise and, in the end, saved me cash.
Located on the Westside, Chapman works all around Central Indiana and I won't hesitate to return to them for business as my Central Air system will likely be the next thing to need service/replaced.

Pictures indicated complicated door installation but my simple door installation was unacceptable! Asked if he could recommend someone......not able to recommend any one else. Gets one star because he at least got back with us.

Amazing! Prompt service (arrived that day)! Very fair and didn't charge us for the visit after nothing ended up being wrong or in need of repair! Will be using them in the future and recommend him to our family and friends!

We we referred to Jody and Carters My Plumber from another plumber who wasn't able to work on my home water lines. The office has been pleasant and understanding since my calls started in December. We formatted a plan for the leak, he added a military discount and we were so happy with the work. The employees were great and kept in close contact all day. They stayed and helped me do the application for the credit card through syncrony which is a wonderful card. The interest rates are better than I've ever seen for a home credit line. We got a 9% apr until paid off but they have no interest for 18 month option and others around 3% and 5%. The plumber stayed and texted and emailed all the photos without me even having to ask.
They work was done in less than a day which was wonderful and we are so happy happy we shopped around for quotes for an entire week. They were weren't the lowest (which was a small small shop) but they were runner up and we are so happy with our decision.
We received a thank you letter (hand written ) for our business with a Valentines Day gift card to Starbucks. it's the small thing and this company knows it!
Keep up the great work Carters My Plumber.

My last two experiences with Howald have been very disappointing. We are on their scheduled maintenance plan and have been a customer for six years. Shortly after their last maintenance visit in the spring we noticed water all over our basement floor. Turns out the condensate drain was blocked, as it obviously wasn't cleaned as part of the scheduled maintenance. They sent a tech out to fix it (can't do the job right but always have time to do the job over) at no charge and we were left to clean up the mess. Today they were supposed to come out again for a maintenance check. They called yesterday to confirm the appointment but DIDN'T SHOW. I called their office and received a call back stating they had a tech out sick and had to reschedule their appointments. Too bad they didn't call me on the number I gave them to reach me, even though the person I spoke to stated their CSR log showed a note with the correct number and it also showed they called a different one. I guess poor service, cutting corners and failure to follow directions is simply becoming the new normal these days...
12/8/22 UPDATE: Howald rescheduled, sent a tech on time, and David did a great job answering my questions and giving our furnace a thorough inspection. I'm hoping my prior experience is the exception rather than the rule.

Following several failed attempts to find someone-- anyone-- who would not only call us back, but actually put us on their calendar to come out and replace our water heater for a reasonable price, I began scouring the internet and seeking input from others. Weilhammer Plumbing was highly recommended by a coworker, and they had excellent reviews on the internet. (And I liked how they were responsive to the reviews-- even the bad ones. . . It made me think that they stand behind their work and take their reputation very seriously).
Upon calling Weilhammer Plumbing, I got a good vibe. The person I spoke with was very pleasant, didn't treat me like some stupid woman who didn't know what she was talking about, and seemed very knowledgeable and competent. I also liked that they were willing to quote me a price over the phone (as opposed to the other companies, who wanted to come out before they'd give us an estimate, even though I just wanted to replace the unit with one that was pretty much exactly the same, and provided them with all the specs and features of the old one. . .). The person I spoke with on the phone asked me to take some pictures of the area with the water heater and text them to him, so he could get an idea of what he'd be dealing with. I thought it was an efficient way of dealing with it, saving me from having to take time off work to get a quote, and saving him a trip across town. I was also impressed by the phone conversation because it seemed like Weilhammer Plumbing wanted to do things the right way, rather than just do the bare minimum, collect the money, and be done with it. The person I spoke with explained to me that they felt it would be best to add a drain pan underneath the new water heater, which they felt would help minimize damage to the floor in the event of a future leak. This was included in the price of the quote.
I needed a 38 gallon short electric water heater, because of space issues in the utility closet in which it was to be installed. I knew I wanted another one just like the old one, which had lasted thirteen years and was still going strong (save for an obnoxious sulphur smell at the start of showers). They listened to me, and quoted me out on the brand I wanted, with the warranty and features I wanted, instead of trying to sell me something else. Despite that the unit was not actually leaking, and was still working (mostly) just fine, Weilhammer still made us a priority, and came out not even two days later to do the install. They came at the time they said they would, and not one, but two guys came out with two trucks. One did the actual install, and the other helped with everything else (such as ensuring the water was shut off at the outside level, making sure the electrical breakers were turned off, bringing the installer the correct fittings, removing the old unit and draining it outside, etc). This was a time saver, resulting in the whole haul-away and install taking less than two hours, and leaving my afternoon free to go get an oil change and run some errands I'd have otherwise had to run over the weekend.
From what I can tell, the work appears to be good quality. I also liked that they went the extra mile and added a heavy line of caulk where the concrete and laminate floors meet, to re-direct water away from the laminate floors in the event the unit were to leak at some point in the future.
I am glad we found this company, and will consider them first for all future plumbing needs.

We were in a bit of a pinch once the weather started turning colder. Went to fire up the old furnace and nothing. Of course this was discovered after hours and we struggled to get anyone who could come out in a timely matter. After working our way down the list we were able to get appointment with Godby for first thing the next morning. The technician called to confirm he was on the way and was very professional we he arrived.
Our technician was also very knowledgeable and good about explaining things in a way that was understandable and had us back up and running in no time.

I called yesterday after a couple of weeks with no AC in this Indy humidity! They put me on a cancellation list which I was already on a few but just trying to get someone as quick as possible. I have a 100 pound Great Pyrenees who was not enjoying the heat either. To my surprise they called and could get me in same day! Mitchell showed up and was very nice, easy to speak with and very friendly with all my crazy dogs. It started thundering and lightening with rain coming any minute. He worked as quick as possible to get my AC recharged and got completely soaked finishing up! But he finished and was still smiling. The work was finished for less than 6 quotes and estimates I had received! He also sold me on a warranty they carry that offers 2 service calls a year and they make sure the system is working good. SOLD! Thank you Mitchell and Action Air!

Our technician, Jeremy, was very punctual. When he came in he immediately put his orange booties on and went to work. He was very professional in his inspection and confirmed what we already knew in one bathroom. With the exception of the one bathroom we passed the inspection. Jeremy gave us helpful advice in the settings on our water heater. Once done with the inspection I asked him if he could repair the problem in the guest bathroom and he said he could, and he did. Even with the help of one of our five cats. We have dealt with this company several times now and am very pleased with their services.

Rental home and tenant called with drainage issues. A big plus that they were able to have someone there on Saturday. Spent about 4 hours trying to snake the line and run the camera through. First guy didn't have adequate equipment so waited until guy came from Indianapolis with a better camera. They weren't able to solve the problem with that and suggested that the main drain from the exit of the house to the city connect be replaced. Couldn't schedule that until Tuesday, 3 days later. It's a 60 year old house with clay main that was cracked and had roots. They replaced 10 section from the exit of the house. That $4150 didn't solve the problem. Left the yard a muddy mess. I was left with probably several hours of yard work to clean up. Plywood would have solved much of this problem. Next step was to tear out the concrete slab in the bathroom and replace the pipes. That was another $3250. Interestingly enough, the pipes they removed didn't have a clog. The clog was apparently between the bathroom and the exterior wall of the house, about 15' between the two new sections. So, 7 days and $7400 later, water is flowing.
I have no doubt that I got hosed on this, but ultimately, they did resolve the issue. Guys were nice and super kudos to Sam, the guy that finished the job. If not for Sam, it would have been 1 star. 5 stars for Sam.
Next time, I'll certainly get another quote, but with having to ask tenant to find someplace to stay for a few days, I was too far in to the process to change course.
