My second story water heater was leaking into my home. I called Acosta, and kind Sonny arrived within 30 minutes. He climbed into my horribly hot attic, and told me it needed to be replaced. I'm in a tough spot financially, so as soon as I could raise the money I called Acosta, and Sonny was in my home the very next day! There was so much sediment in it, that it was way to heavy to bring it down the foldable wooden attic stairs! He had two other, Acosta gentlemen helping him to solve the problem. They spent hours taking care of me! Sonny and his team were absolutely amazing. They were able to get my awful 400lb, sediment filled water heater down the stairs. These gentlemen worked SO very hard!!! They have my business for life!!! I've been passing Acosta plumbing information to all of my neighbors, as our homes are all the same age, and will need the same help very soon. Thank you Sonny!!! Thank you Acosta Plumbing!
They also put up with my very large German Shepards that I recently rescued, and are still learning to behave. Bless you kind gentleman!

We had to get a toilet replaced and Right Choice plumbing was responsive and flexible with scheduling. While they were here, they were able to spot a leak and was able to fix that as well. Can't say enough about these guys, friendly, knowledgeable and great service overall.

I needed a plumber on Monday morning to finish up a DIY project that I had given up on Saturday evening. I was desperate. John was booked for Monday, but he promised to try to work me in that evening and come Tuesday morning if he could not make it on Monday. I really appreciate his willingness to do that. I did not use him because I found someone else who could do the job on Monday. John was very grateful when I called to cancel our appointment. He asked me to give him a Yelp review, so here it is. He did all he could for me - more than several other folks I called.

I purchased a condo and one of the issues that needed to be repaired was a leaky shower valve. My go to referral source is always YELP. Gary is very responsive. He replied at night and weekends to my YELP messaging. Very friendly on the phone. Then came time for the actual estimate. $49 to give me an estimate. I was confident I was going to use Plumbco so I didn't flinch because the $49 would have been deducted off my cost of the job. Well that was $49 down the drain. Plumbco was the most expensive of the highly rated YELP plumbers. I contracted with another company for the job. Maybe they can get the $49 I put down the drain.

Did a good and fast job at a decent price. They were the only company to get back to me when my mom had a crisis from the crazy winter weather. Would def hire them again.

I was very pleased with Kim's professionalism and workmanship. If your in the need of any plumbing needs do not hesitate to call Drain Control. Thank you for your service Kim!

Finding an honest plumber isn't so easy. We recently added a new bathroom to a property we purchased, and about 80 feet of drain line needed to be roughed in along with fixtures and water lines. The cost was reasonable and transparent without any hidden fees, and the job was done correctly without taking any shortcuts. The plumber handled all the permits and supervised his workers appropriately. Few plumbers do rough in plumbing so I felt very grateful to find an honest company that does the work well. In the end, we liked the work so much asked him to install drainage and water lines for a washer/dryer. He responds promptly to text messages. I intend to continue using Robert in the future for all my plumbing needs. I should note that he is rapidly becoming very busy so plan accordingly if you need a job done soon.

Water heater busted on Tuesday. Wednesday I began searching the internet for quotes to get an idea of how much it would cost me to have someone install and remove it. After the quotes reached upwards of $1300 with attic and removal fees I decided to purchase one from a local hardware store and do it myself. I quickly realized not only how important it was to have running water but HOT water is a must...immediately! I didn't want to wait the weekend so I tried getting quotes once again and ended up getting 2 that were reasonably priced and a bit lower than what I had been getting. I decided to go with EPW Services and glad I did! They came within a couple of hours of the discussion and were done and gone in a little under 2 hours (I had already drained the tank) even after I gave them the wrong heater size. They were very responsive, courteous, reasonably priced (if there is a such thing) and I will definitely recommend and use them again. I didn't feel like I was buying another house with all of the contracts, fees and explanations just good service. Give them a try next time you need this type of service.

I called First Aid Plumbing to inspect an issue I found with water coming back up through the toilet when a load of laundry is run through my washer.
Alex responded to me promptly, set an appointment and followed up in the time we agreed on.
The inspection of the problem went well, and he explained what we might expect to see during the inspection, as well as what the work required might be.
Unfortunately, we had a miscommunication during the inspection followup; however, despite this being a situation that might have easily turned sour, Alex maintained a high level of professionalism and understanding.
We were able to resolve the issue satisfactorily due to Alex and First Aid Plumbing's genuine desire to maintain good customer relationships; this goes a long way in giving one a sense of trust in the job they perform.

I had an issue with my sink being stopped up and I sent them a request and they immediately answered my request, had a tech out the same day. James came by with a wonderful attitude and fixed my sink in a fast, efficient, professional manner. It exceeded my expectations! The price was very reasonable for an emergency situation. I highly recommend this company and their service! Thank you!

Had an issue with my fluorescent fixture in my kitchen not coming on after changing the tubes. Saw that this business had great reviews through Yelp, reached out, and they responded within 5 minutes. He could have come out the same day but I had a conflict and could not make the window of time on Friday afternoon, but he came out the very next morning (Saturday). I appreciate that these guys were very professional, prompt, and always kept in communication from the initial point of contact. Within 20 minutes they installed a brand new fixture with LED lighting that now shines bright like a diamond and I won't have to replace the tubes for at least 45 years! Their service was reasonably priced and to top it off they cleaned up to make sure they left the area spotless where they did the repair. Will definitely be using these guys again in the soon to near future for other services!

It wouldn't be fair to give this company 0 or 1 Star since its not based on any plumbing work of any kind. It's based on the way the driver of a truck with your company's name on the side of it, poorly represents your company.
Driving down I59 North and then East on Northpark into Kingwood, your truck drove like he was maniac.
Just a tip, if you're driving a company vehicle fast & furious, it reflects poorly on the company.

Augustin was a pleasure to deal with! He quickly responded to our issue with the leaking toilet and fixed it in no time. He also made some suggestions on how to avoid the issue in the future. I was very pleased with the service and would definitely call on Augustin again!

I'd been fighting with a slow, then clogged up kitchen sink for a couple of week. Nothing I tried worked, I dumped every chemical known to man down the pipe and all it did was make it worse. Worse yet, my piddly little drill mounted snake was simply too short to do the job - A problem I've never had before..no, really.
I emailed GAP Plumbing and within hours had an appointment for the next morning.
The plumber WAS ON TIME...seriously... that alone was excellent.
They broke out the BIG SNAKE and cleaned that blasted pipe right on out.
$150.00 to do it right, I'd probably spent nearly that much on junk to do it myself. Never again! I'm calling GAP!

Got my deposit back quickly but it's not right to deposit a check before a job is actually started. I got an initial bad impression on the phone because I could hardly understand the person I was talking to and I could hear his kids screaming in the background.
Yet, the guy who was sent to give us an estimate gave us the best impression, the total opposite of the impression on the phone, so we went along and provided the deposit. There was no agreement for them to buy parts nor do anything in particular, other than hold our spot for them to come back and start the job.
At the end , we decided against the company and were very surprised to find out our check had already been cashed, when the repair had not even started. All they did was shut the water on that particular faucet to stop the leak until they could come back (and I would have been ok with paying for that, but my deposit was more than that was worth!). Nothing was said about a minimum for the visit. Yes, I did get my deposit back quickly, but the point is that I got a general bad impression from the get-go : One of lack of professionalism and clarity, on the phone. But the actual plumber who came, was great. Very knowledgeable, knew his craft.

I've had a reoccurring plumbing issue every few months. Every person I've called only did a band-aid fix on it. Having had enough, I reached out to Champion Plumbing Service as a first time customer. This was after I've failed on getting someone to come check on it out due to no availability for the next 2-3 weeks... You can imagine my fear of what the water bill would look like with a constant leak.
The service rep was able to quickly schedule an appointment for the next day. Got an email to confirm the appointment and got a text when they were on their way. Shawn came to assess the situation in detail and proposed a permanent fix to me. This fix required people to come dig to access the pipes. I was concerned about scheduling availability and how long this would take.
However, Shawn was able to get his excavators the next morning, fixed the issue by noon. By late afternoon, the excavators put everything back and you can't even tell they were there.
Overall, excellent service! Showed up on time and quickly got it resolved! Shawn took the time to explain the process to me and was flexible to make sure that it didn't impede on my work day. Highly recommend!

Buyer beware. My experience with JD Precision Plumbing goes as follows:
1. Back at the end of 2017 I had what seemed to be a blocked drainage pipe from my washing machine so water back-flowed into the house. Bad new. Okay, so I call JD.
2. The plumber comes out and tries to snake the pipe with no luck. That job costs $345 and we still don't have a clear drain pipe. Darn.
3. So he tears into the wall, installs a cleanout so he can use a heavier duty snake. Still no luck! Darn! That job costs $600, I have 2 giant holes in my wall, and I still don't have a clear drain pipe.
4. At this point, the plumber determines that the problem is not a clog in the pipe. No! It's a belly in the pipe, which causes water to pool and will cost several thousands to fix. Wow. Darn. Okay. So not only do I have 2 giant holes in my wall that the plumber isn't going to fix, but I also have a hefty new diagnosis i.e. the problem is WAY WORSE than I imagined. And In order to fix this alleged belly, the plumber will need to go on an exploratory hunt for my pipe, locate the belly somewhere in my yard potentially under concrete, yada, yada, blah blah blah. All of that will cost in the ballpark of 2K or maybe 5K or maybe more--who the hell knows? Point is, even with this dire diagnosis, I have very little info about the problem and the location thereof and the pricing thereof after I've already spent nearly $1000.
6. After the plumber leaves, I feel completely taken for a ride. I contact JD to see if there's anything they can do because this style of pricing, whereby the customer gets taken unwittingly on an expensive journey feels wrong somehow. Also, there's 2 giant holes in my wall. When I finally speak to a human, it is like speaking to a recording with a bad attitude. He is curt, unapologetic, and offers me nothing beyond the company line. K cool.
7. Over the past year, the issue has persisted because I could not fathom the idea of paying untold thousands of dollars for a sketchy-seeming mission to rip up my yard. Turns out, that was for the best. Cut to today, where, with the purchase of an $11 plumbing bladder from Home Depot, I am able to discover that the other end of the pipe abuts an entire foot of dirt/grass/roots. So there was a clog, just not anywhere near where the plumber's snake could reach. Moral of the story: there was not a belly and my problem was solved by an $11 plumbing tool that surely a plumber has heard of. The pipe is now clear and I ran my first load of laundry in years that has not backed water into my house. Thanks JD Precision Plumbing! JK. Thanks for nothing, I mean.
8. It's hard not to look at the events and see that before worst-case scenario-ing me, the plumber should have been slightly more creative. To the tune of $11. Also, the holes in my wall that cost me $600 were unnecessary.

Contracted through HomeServ to prepare outside leak at water line. Once scheduled, they kept us informed of changes. Although our appointment was moved out twice, we were pleased overall with their service, quality of work, and timeliness and would likely use them again.

Attached is the invoice I received from Abacus from earlier today.
The actual service I received from Chris and Iris was great. They were both friendly, personable & very efficient. In fact, this job took them less than 15 minutes. That's why I am having a difficult time understanding why I was charged $331.95. Without my coupon- it would have been $381.95! I don't know much about plumbing, but that seems like a hefty price to UNCLOG A SINK. I received quotes from 4 other companies, all SIGNIFICANTLY lower than what I paid Abacus. For that reason alone- I will never go back, and I will never recommend Abacus to my friends or family. As good as the 'service' was, it certainly was not worth that price tag.
