So glad I chose this company! I picked them based on Yelp reviews, and I couldn't be happier. Edwin was right on time to fix our water heater. He was on time, very professional and quick to resolve the issue. Will definitely be using this company again in the future!

Right choice was very available to answer all my questions regarding a water heater project I needed done. They educated me on the difference between on demand electric vs a smart tank water heater and helped me choose the best for my home. They built a platform for me to get my new water heater back to code and at the right height and also helped me to fix some piping issues that arose during installation. I contacted Drain Care Sewer and Hydrojet for drainage issues at my home. John came and found that my pipes were clogged and I also had a leaking water heater. He provided me with detailed information and pricing. His service is impeccable and prices are very reasonable. Although this company specializes in drains/sewers, he fixed my plumbing issue. Thank you so much for the excellent service that was provided. This company went above and beyond the call of duty. I highly recommend and would definitely use again.  I will also refer to my family and friends.

My hot water went out on Friday night, so I was scrambling to find a plumber to take a look at the hot water heater on Saturday morning. After calling several plumbing companies with no luck, I reached a plumbing company (which I wrote a separate review about) that agreed to send someone out that afternoon.  

The technician arrived around 4pm, and after spending - max - 5 minutes diagnosing my hot water heater, he told me that the problem could be a variety of issues, maybe a broken gas valve or potentially a faulty burner assembly. He then went into detail about how, because the labor to fix a burner assembly would be almost as expensive installing a new water heater, I should just go ahead and get a new one installed. WHAT?? That's what you call a diagnosis of the problem? He then went on to quote me a fee - for labor, pulling a city permit, and working in the attic - for over $1,000 - and that DID NOT include the cost of the water heater itself (which was covered under warranty).

I was left with the feeling that I might be getting conned, so I called Plumbco to get a second estimate. If I was going to pay that much to get a new water heater installed, I wanted to be sure that I wasn't getting swindled. Gary quoted me a price comparable to what the technician from the first company quoted - BUT, his price INCLUDED a new water heater. If I supplied the water heater myself and only wanted to pay for labor to install? Gary told me it would only be about HALF the price the other company quoted me.

Gary then started asking me what my issue was. After I explained what was happening, he told me that, unless my tank was leaking, I didn't need to replace it with a whole new one. He had a good idea of what the problem was, and agreed to come by Monday to fix the water heater. He called on Monday morning to confirm he had the replacement parts, showed up EARLIER than originally promised, and fixed the problem in under 45 minutes. The best part is, it cost me only about 1/3 what the other company quoted me.

Gary and one of his other technicians were polite, friendly and professional. They wore booties in the house, and Gary even made sure to clean up all the dust and debris that had floated down from the attic. To top it all off, Gary even stayed around an extra 10-15 minutes, and then went back up into the attic to double check that the water heater was, in fact, working properly. Can't ask for better service than that!

He was thorough in assessing the necessary information to quote me the cost for the cleaning of my drain line.
He showed up to my home in a timely manner, branded and prepared to do the job.

Note:  Hydro-jetting was my initial inquiry; however, Hector completed the job with the K9 machine which is said does the same job, but without the water, yet it required the running of my  home water faucet for quite a while during the process.

Overall, great service.

Hugo really wowed me. He did 3 jobs for me today, one fairly complicated. The results surprised and delighted me--and he charged less than I expected. I would DEFINITELY use him again.

Delightful Service and exceeded my expectations!  Our Garbage Disposal stopped working completely (no sound at all) and Fernando came by with a colleague to fix it. In 5 mins he had it back up and running, communicated perfectly about the issue and how to prevent it moving forward.  Such nice guys and same day service.  I would say if you are looking for fast service, integrity and great communication- I would highly recommend.  We just found our go to plumber!  I will be recommending them on our community forums or if our neighbors are in need of services!  I'm sure we will mostly likely be in need of them again :-)

Have used them two times. No fuss. Simple, direct, and quick service. No upwelling or unwanted frills. Just get it done  execution. Nice people and responsive too.

Within a few hours, I had a quote and my job completed. I understand most projects won't be done in this manner, but I had a great experience with them, 10/10 would recommend

The owner of First Aid plumbing is amazing!  He's helped me out twice without me needing to be there by sending detailed shots of the issue, explanation of the problem(s) and multiple options to repair with quotes attached. He definitely goes above and beyond your typical service call without charging an arm and a leg. Alex is super easy to work with and you just get good and honest vibes from him. I attached before and after pictures of their wonderful work. They even came back to protect our pipes from the cold weather.

Job was done properly and on time (on weekend, but it was not an emergency, so I could have waited). Plumber showed up 5 minutes earlier that scheduled, made recommendations on how to perform the task the right way. Very nice guy, gave me another end elbow for free, just in case. The business owner contacted me in a few days to follow up, very honest, friendly and customer service oriented guy. Will definitely use them again in the future

We needed a garage access door replaced, and the frame needed replacing--our HOA SUCKS! (Crown Colony West--the HOA is super corrupt!!!)

It took a little longer than thought (understandable), but the end result is GREAT!!! (I would add photos, but it is dark now...)

We have more work to be done, but so far, City & Beyond are FIVE STAR CONTRACTORS.

$480 quote from pictures sent; 30-minute service - main water valve repair. I had to call to schedule an appointment (even after using their chat feature). Guys walked up stating $480 repair without actually looking at the valve.
Also had to call to get a receipt 5 days later. The receipt had no breakdown of parts/services. Just quantity of 1 - $480
Work van said Senior and Vet Discounts... nothing listed on website.
I will shop around next time... my advice is you should do the same.

Had a 8 to 10am appointment and had Taylor shows up at 815am. What a great guy. Told him what I needed done. He checked it out and determined that he had a cheaper fix. Perfect results in a very fast time. This company should be proud of Taylor. Hard to find good employees these days but Taylor is a superstar.

$150 for the plumber to pull out the pop-up, wipe off a bit of gunk, replace the pop-up, and test the flow in the drain.  Took 3 minutes.

When I called (afterwards) to question the charges, was told that that is their standard fee for an hour's work.  

Did the plumber ask if there was anything else that he could do toward earning an hour's pay?  Negative...just got his check and hit the road.

They contract with homserve. I tell them the stem is leaking and when I turn the kitchen faucet and bathtub faucet to hot water the pressure drops drastically. I walked Josue over to the bathroom and turned the faucet on in the tub. The stem leaked and when I turned it all the way to hot the pressure dropped. He says it's the interior plumbing that needs to be replaced because Houston has hard water and all of the minerals (which he started naming like magnesium and phosphorus) mixing with the hot water causes scaling. I have interior coverage with home serve and it is covered (scaling over time can cause a complete blockage)
per home serves interior coverage copied straight from their contract if you put in 77029 as the area code.

Repair or replacement of the following inside Your Home, for which You
have sole responsibility, which is damaged due to normal wear and tear:
* The partially or permanently blocked or leaking System pipes that carry
fresh water and wastewater

Like I said I turn the tub faucet on along with the bathroom sink on so he can see the dramatic difference. He says that the interior plumbing needs to be replaced. A lot of older homes have galvanized pipes and over time scaling happens. Josue says let me go out to my van and speak with homserve to try and get it covered.  Home serve calls me and says that the valve is a fixture, and it isn't covered. I'm like huh (the girl with home serve is named Nika and she had a very bad attitude) I said we didn't talk about him replacing the valve. I said the stem was leaking and he said the interior pipes needs to be replaced. She then states that he didn't say anything about the interior pipes. Josue is still sitting in his van. At this point I have an extra device and I am recording this entire conversation because I knew it was going to be some BS and if you are wondering Texas has a one-party law and I consented to being recorded, look it up!

I asked him did he tell her about the interior plumbing needing to be replaced. He said yeah I mentioned it but like I told you home serve won't cover it because you still have pretty good pressure. the only time I have seen them cover it is when there was a complete blockage. then Nika says that there has to be below 30psi in two or more fixtures open in order for it to be considered low water pressure. She said that my water pressure is measuring 50 psi with two or more fixtures open and that's why home serve is not covering.  I asked her how she knew it was 50 psi when he never gauged the water. I had to go outside an ask him to gauge the water.

I kid you not I am being told two different things from Josue who has totally changed his story and Nika the idiot with a bad attitude.   He never checks the pressure in my home. I tell him to come back inside and check the pressure. he says ok ill come back in and check the pressure. He never comes back in. I start recording him sitting in his freakin van. I go back outside cause home serve tries to call me again. I answer it but don't hear anything then they hang up and don't try to call again. Like I said I am recording. I go ask him what is he doing because he never came back in the house, and he never gauged the water pressure. he says yes, I did I have the pictures. I said show me. he placed a gauge on the outside valve infront of my home and says that it is registering 60 psi. When I checked my audio recording Nika said my psi was registering 50 now Josue says its 60.  I asked him why he didn't gauge the pressure in my actual home on one of the fixtures because that's what Nika said.

There is a character limit on this, but I have Nika and Josue on recording. Very unprofessional, bad business on home serve and Texas Quality Plumbing. This business can contact me if they want to listen to the audio. Josue didn't check any of the fixtures in the house. I turned the water on in the shower and the bathroom faucet. that's as far as his inspection went. I called homeserve to let them know they are sending out another plumber.  i dont think I can attach the audio but I would if I could. I took video of him sitting in his van which what he basically got paid to do but not sure if i can post that either

I had Jonathan, a technical, go to my elderly father's home to check his disposal that my father thought was not working.  He arrived on time and found a seed in the disposal that was causing it not to work.  We were not charged one penny.  I appreciate the honesty and the kindness that was offered; in addition to not charging a service fee.  I will definitely use them again and highly recommend them.
