Mike contacted me after my post on Nextdoor where I was describing that I was struggling with water damage in my home, and offered his expertise. I was extremely impressed with the service I received.
Mike arrived on time, and was very polite and professional. He quickly diagnosed the issues that I had. Not only did he do a fantastic job, but he also offered some helpful advice on how to prevent future problems. He also was able to get a licensed roofer out, who confirmed his suspicions! They worked on this issue together and knew exactly what the problem was.
The quality of his work was top-notch, and he even made sure to take garbage bags full of moldy, soaking wet insulation and drywall out. I was thoroughly impressed by the level of expertise and professionalism that he displayed.
Mike also gave me advice on how to deal with my HOA that refuses to take responsibility for the damage done to my home due to maintenance negligence. He made me feel that I'm not alone in it.
I would highly recommend him to anyone in need of home repair services. He is reliable, skilled, and more importantly, he showed genuine interest in helping me solve the problem rather than trying to sell services. The world needs more Mikes!

Picture this... Sweltering heat with the temperature hitting 90 in Nashville for the first time this year. I turn on the A/C and... hot air comes out. The temperature in the house had risen from 77 to 83 before I realized that a professional was needed to remedy the situation.
Thanks to Yelp and some great reviews of Jeremiah and his Ascension Services, I gave him a call. Jeremiah was able to come out the next day. He has a two hour minimum at $75 per hour... and he fixed the problem and cold air was cooling off my humble abode once again!
It's definitely worth noting that I had my all-in-one HVAC unit installed at the end of the prior summer and even had it serviced in the winter because the hot air was not as hot as I expected it to be. And yet, Jeremiah was quickly able to diagnose the problem as being a wiring problem. This is something that the other company (or the company that installed the unit) should have caught, but did not.
Needless to say, I have found my new HVAC guy. Thank you again, Jeremiah... you have one satisfied customer here!

We are in a new home and Walter Hill Plumbing installed our toilets. We use the lavatory on the main floor quite often. We have had several instances of our toilet clogging.
Walter Hill has sent someone out to unclog and have replaced toilet with the same lower grade toilet.
It still continues to clog. We have requested an upgraded toilet and have been told they will no longer come out to our house unless we pay for a service call. Our home is under full warranty until June 2018.
They are claiming the problem is our fault, not the toilet. We have never had an issue with toilets clogging. I believe that a better toilet would not have the same problems. In the end, we will probably have to purchase a new toilet and pay someone to have it installed, definitely not Walter Hill Plumbing.
I would not recommend doing business with this company.

I have had nothing but problems with this company. They installed an energy efficient unit I purchased in Aug 2010 for 5 grand. All was fine until Dec when only one room was heated and rest of house was cold. Placed service call and tech said unit was fine and increased the number of times the unit to kick on from 3-6 times an hour. Still no help PLUS my heat bills more than DOUBLED. It wasn't till June of 2011 that my house wasn't being cooled and it was told me that my duct work was laying on ground of CRAWL SPACE..the tech on first service call never thought to look UNDER crawl space. So do to not doing their job correctly and taking 3 DAYS to fix duct work my unit is not breaking down left and right costing me over 3 grand to fix on a 3 YR OLD UNIT!! Even the Bryant corp told me my system wasn't a lemon but abused due to their lack of service quality. Reported them to BBB and all they wrote back was how I was rude to people and NEVER ONCE acknowleged the facts about their inept service and rude supervisior Shane. The owner is pretty nice and a good guy but this Shane never told him of my problems! DON'T WASTE ur TIME and especially your MONEY to this company. I agree with John M..two thumbs waaaaayyy down.
Good luck getting them to answer your phone calls after hours. they close at 3:30 and most people don't get home till after and find their HVAC has problems. You may but mostly MAY NOT get returne phone call and if so..you pay after hours time to them.

I selected Jack Ward Plumbing after doing some research and reading the positive reviews on Yelp so I'm disappointed by the experience I had. Particularly 3 issues and the lack of follow-up or resolution.
1. I spent around 3500 to have a tank less water heater installed a couple of months ago. My wife came home from work about an hour after the plumber left and asked if I smelled gas. I said no but then I had been sitting in the room next to it all day. Somewhere between 2 and 3am she wakes me up and said it's really strong we need to get out the house. We got my 5yr old up went outside and called Piedmont gas. They confirmed gas was leaking from both ends of a pipe JWP installed and shut the gas off. JWP sent the same guy out the next day to repair it.
2. During the original install the plumber drilled a hole in the wall which went to the outside of the house. The hole was drilled to run a vent to the outside the house. My tank is in the basement. When the plumber went outside he realized he drilled it to low so he used the hole that was already there for the previous water tank.
3. The plumber was the only one there so he couldn't get the old water tank upstairs to haul it off. He rolled it to my back patio and said he'd send someone for it.
I didn't get much feedback after I called the next day to tell them my family was in the house while it was leaking gas from 4p to 3a and that we had to go outside at 3am while the gas company checked it.
I called the plumber that did the job about the hole in the wall and he responded by telling me what to get from home depot to fill it. I later called JWP'S office and they promised to send someone out to take care of it. This was a month ago and it's still not fixed.
They also said they'd send someone to pickup and haul off the old water tank however it's still sitting on my patio 2 months later.
I escalated my call to a lady that I think was related to the previous or current owner. She promised to have someone fix the hole in the wall and haul off the old water tank but I haven't heard a word. I even told her I wanted to share the feedback with her because the first issue could have resulted in a tragic ending and because they had a good reputation. Now I feel like I should have took the disgruntled irate approach because being the nice guy and trying to work with them got me no where.

Fantastic!!! Professional, efficient, quality work and exceptional customer service. My husband and I are about to put our house on the market and Bakers home improvement took care of 5 items on our punch list! Wow his crew is incredible! Don't look anywhere else. So pleased with their work! We are so grateful.

By far the worst experience I've had dealing with a plumber. From the time he arrived at my house, I could tell he was unprofessional (boots were dirty and didn't cover them before walking in, no nametag). The experience continued to get worse when he asked me to do the work for him (not kidding - he asked me to undo an exit pipe). I had to explain to him how the plumbing works, and when I did, he realized that would be a bad idea. The service call ended with him shrugging and telling me to call the insurance company because it would be $3200 to complete the work. This person was unprofessional, completely unknowledgeable, and didn't care one bit about my experience whatsoever. DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY. I repeat - do NOT call this company.

Save your time and money!! Called these guys to fix my restaurant AC and they spent 3 days attempting to fix the problem. Meanwhile I am losing customers to a hot restaurant. Had to call another company who were smart enough to fix the problem in 3 hours. Dillingham and Smith proceeded to charge me $4000 dollars to not fix the problem and Eric Gibbens only charged me $500 to actually fix the problem. I now use Eric for my AC needs and recommend you do the same. His number is 615-394-0320.

To start, the gentlemen did a fine job with what I asked them to do; however I had multiple issues. They would not give an estimate for the work and asked to bill after. I understand why now because it was almost almost 700 dollars To patch a few holes in the wall and leveling two doors in our house. I chalk this up as our fault for not pursuing the quote further. However, there were multiple other issues outside of the cost. Firstly, the workers showed up two hours late without even a courtesy call and came in and out of my house leaving the door open for 5-10 minutes at a time and leaving their dirty shoes on walking all over our carpets. Also, they attempted to throw away their trash in our garbage can until I asked if they had their own to use. To put the cherry on top, and what caused me to write this review, the men decided to wash off their equipment and wash out their putty bowls in my bathroom sink. I felt this was a very unprofessional experience and a very expensive one as well. We will not be using them again.
