Buddy from Jack Ward & Sons Plumbing has provided fast, friendly, dependable and efficient service.

I like that Buddy willingly offers suggestions or opinions on ways to maintain or upgrade the plumbing infrastructure in our house, but there's never any pressure or hard sell techniques.

The employees in the office who answer the phone are also very personable and helpful.

I use Jack Ward Plumbing for our commercial needs. They are very timely and professional. They are also very competitive in their pricing. Also Jack Ward Plumbing services all of middle Tennessee. The greatest thing about them is that they stay until the job is complete and done right. I highly recommend them for any of your plumbing needs, small or large.

Easy to work with, work was done in a timely, professional manner.  I just have a little sticker shock.  My usual licensed, responsive plumber who does good work charges less than half per hour what Jack Ward does.

Had a great experience with this company. They were able to give me a quick quote and options to repair my water heater and replaced it super quick. Hope to never have another issue, but if I do, I'll call these guys again!

Millennial stamp of approval!! 10/10 would recommend

I had Jack Ward offer me a bid over a year ago, and they still had the work that I asked them to do on file, sent out a new plumber, Who then reviewed the work that needed to be done, took pictures, and showed me exactly what was wrong! It was the same exact thing that the other person had said was wrong. In addition to honoring a bid from a year ago, I had two disconnected pipes in my crawlspace that he fixed free of charge! He replaced an old iron drain pipe in my old house, and replace the spigot and fixed two additional leaks/big problems for under $1000- all in the time window that he said he would do it in, and he was very friendly and helpful! Carolyn and McClain at the office were also very helpful. 10/10 would recommend

This was my second time to call upon Jack Ward & Sons Plumbing and they did not disappoint when my water heater started spewing water from a joint in the pipe leading to it.  I called at 7:30 pm, the tech Steve Daniels called me back after a while letting me know he would call me when he finished the current job.  Even though it was late, he called to say he was on the way and stayed until he was able to stop the leaking - almost 2 hours.   It was hot but he stayed with it and I can't thank him enough so that I was able to turn my water back on.
I highly recommend Jack Ward & Sons!

Highly recommend! Woke up this morning to see up through the ground a bubblin crude, not black gold, but crystal clean water from a broken water main. I knew for certain that I would be days without water and it would cost a small fortune.  I was wrong.  Within hours, Andrew had the busted pipe repaired for a lot less than I anticipated. He left the area clean and clear! I could not be more thrilled with the service I received both on the phone (Tracy) and in person (Andrew)!
I would not hesitate to use them again (though I do hope I don't have to!)

First time I used this plumbing company, they sent out two clean cut smart people who showed up on time and replaced my water heater with the right parts and clean operation. This week I needed the guts in my toilet replaced and the lines under my sink replaced. Steve had the right parts on the truck and was in and out of my house in an hour. Worth the money to hire the right business people. This family biz has been rocking it right in Nashville for 65 years.

I received a call this morning from the very nice customer service lady. She was following up on my kitchen faucet. She explained they had located the part & we confirmed return date. After further consideration, I decided to stop the process. I was going to be charged for the part. I'm going to consider purchasing new faucet. Now, I'm okay with their customer service and overall experience. I've revised to three star rating. Thank you for time and attention.

Derek came to take care of an issue that had been plaguing me for weeks.  I was afraid that the service would not only be costly but time consuming.  Derek was pleasant, timely in his work and solved the issue effortlessly.  He also provided me with insight for preventive maintenance.  I will certainly call Jack Ward and Sons should I have any issues in the future.

I wish I could attach photos to this review.
Apparently the $220 solution to water coming through the ceiling downstairs and my plumbing issue was a little caulk and a paper towel wedging a piece of trim in place because it wouldn't stay where it was supposed to for some reason instead of finding and fixing the reason it wouldn't stay in place.
Super cool.
Glad it took all day for me to earn the money I wasted on their visit.

Having recently moved to the Nashville area, I had a plumbing issue with my water heater. I called Jack Ward plumbing twice, based on yelp reviews.  Both times they were able to squeeze me in at the last minute and accommodate my schedule. The second time, required a complete replacement of a water heater on a Saturday and Jamey responded to my house and busted his rear get in the water heater replaced and up and running. Would use them again and highly recommend.

The water heater on our new house started leaking and we called Jack Ward to come take a look. Buddy, the plumber who came out, was knowledgeable, experienced and was able to diagnose that it needed to be replaced. In addition to replacing it, he took us through some other basics of our houses plumbing. From booking the appointment to the final billing, they made a pain in the butt process very manageable.

So after cooling off from a terrible experience with these people I will just say. Save time and money and go with a different company. This company hires inept employees which can cause you more problems than you already have. Do your self a favor and choose any other company you can find.

Jack Ward Plumbing does good work.. I used them three times within a short period of time. My final call was to replace a toilet flange that had become broken with years of wear. I was given a written estimate of $2800 to make the necessary repair. I decided to call two other licensed plumbers in the area as that seemed quite high and was given other prices ranging from $525 to $650 to completely fix my problem. I was happy to pay the $215.00 service charge that J. Ward Plumbing billed me for giving the repair estimate and I moved on, lesson learned!

Had an emergency that another plumber wouldn't finish. They came in did what needed to be done, communicated with the city, and got an issue that took months to get another company to care about, completed in less than a week!

Be careful of this company. They came out and provided an estimate. I authorized the work, 2 months after, the problem still occurs. I called and told them about it. They came out again and charge me for the same drainage problem. I did not authorized for them to fix the toilet (my tenant) unit, but they when ahead and fix it without my authorization. They charge $10 for the parts and $175 for the 1 hour labor. Later, I found out the toilet is not fix. I am having Metro investigating on these people. It's so rediculous. I have file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. Please think twice before using this company.

I selected Jack Ward Plumbing after doing some research and reading the positive reviews on Yelp so I'm disappointed by the experience I had. Particularly 3 issues and the lack of follow-up or resolution.

1. I spent around 3500 to have a tank less water heater installed a couple of months ago. My wife came home from work about an hour after the plumber left and asked if I smelled gas. I said no but then I had been sitting in the room next to it all day. Somewhere between 2 and 3am she wakes me up and said it's really strong we need to get out the house. We got my 5yr old up went outside and called Piedmont gas. They confirmed gas was leaking from both ends of a pipe JWP installed and shut the gas off. JWP sent the same guy out the next day to repair it.

2. During the original install the plumber drilled a hole in the wall which went to the outside of the house. The hole was drilled to run a vent to the outside the house. My tank is in the basement. When the plumber went outside he realized he drilled it to low so he used the hole that was already there for the previous water tank.

3. The plumber was the only one there so he couldn't get the old water tank upstairs to haul it off. He rolled it to my back patio and said he'd send someone for it.

I didn't get much feedback after I called the next day to tell them my family was in the house while it was leaking gas from 4p to 3a and that we had to go outside at 3am while the gas company checked it.

I called the plumber that did the job about the hole in the wall and he responded by telling me what to get from home depot to fill it. I later called JWP'S office and they promised to send someone out to take care of it. This was a month ago and it's still not fixed.

They also said they'd send someone to pickup and haul off the old water tank however it's still sitting on my patio 2 months later.

I escalated my call to a lady that I think was related to the previous or current owner. She promised to have someone fix the hole in the wall and haul off the old water tank but I haven't heard a word. I even told her I wanted to share the feedback with her because the first issue could have resulted in a tragic ending and because they had a good reputation. Now I feel like I should have took the disgruntled irate approach because being the nice guy and trying to work with them got me no where.

Good work, personable and affordable. Hired to install a new hybrid-electric hot water heater after the old unit rusted out. Their shop was prompt to have Jeff come out to give me a quote a few hours after I called. Cool dude, he knew what materials were necessary, how much labor would be right away to give a quote. Most importantly, he recommended I purchase the new water heater on my own to save me his mark-up...pretty upstanding thing to do. Thus I was able to take advantage of a sale at the store, saving me hundreds off its regular price. The Ward quote was much more affordable than the other plumbers, who came in with quotes hundreds and thousands higher. The install was quick, they plumbed the drip pan, re-routed and re-soldered the pipes just as we had discussed and got it up and running in no time. They hauled away the old heater and the cardboard packaging from the new one. Nice guys, will definitely call again and I would highly recommend.

My water heater burst a few weeks ago, and while Jack Ward & Sons didn't have the cheapest quote out of all the plumbers I called, the price was reasonable (in comparison) and the people I spoke to in the office were very friendly and helpful. They patiently and kindly explained what would be involved and what was included, how the price was calculated, and what it would cost extra for emergency service if I wanted it done same-day instead of the next day (several of the plumbers I spoke to wouldn't have been able to come for 4-5 days, which would have left me without running water the whole time because there was no hot-water shutoff in my house!).

Travis & Jayce showed up when they said they would, and took time to talk to my home warranty company on the phone before doing anything so I could make sure I'd qualify for reimbursement, and then efficiently removed my old water heater, installed a new one with a new drip pan, and added a hot water shutoff so I could turn off just the water heater in the future. They also identified a leak in a pipe I hadn't noticed, and replaced that section of pipe. They worked cleanly, quickly, and with high quality, and were also very friendly throughout, answering my questions and offering advice about water heaters in general, the leaking pipe, and about working with contractors when I have to get all the water damage taken care of.

Great experience all around! Hopefully I won't need a new water heater again anytime soon, but I'll keep them in mind for any other plumbing jobs that come up.

Okay - I know, to review a plumber. Not exactly very exciting, but on how much you can or will end up spending for services most of us know little or nothing about, this review couldn't be more important.
I prefer to keep my money local if st all possible which is done if you use Ward. Check out their site to get an idea of how they run their business, because there is no doubt that it's just not words. It's my impression that they mean what they say. Good principals and ethics are their pillars and there's no question that theywmean it. I had my shower faucet replaced which is normally a straight forward request, however not on my condo. We originally thought it was accessed via the clothes closet. We were wrong.  Actually it was in the utility closet behind the water heater. It meant removing the water heater to gain access. When the plumber informed me of that I could just see $$$. After all was said and done, Travis managed to remove the water heater, gained access and the job was completed on time and within the estimate. He was very personable and a pleasure to do business with. I will gladly request him as well.

JW&S is my go-to for plumbing services. I've used them on multiple occasions. They replaced my drainage pipes in my crawl space and also dug up and replaced my sewer line after it exploded under my house two weeks before Christmas in 2017. They fixed the problem, sewed some new grass, and had me back in working order in no time. Most recently they fixed some stems and pipes under two sinks. Fairly priced, very personable, and quick work. would highly recommend.

In the past I have used Lee Company for plumbing needs, but found them to be expensive.  Today, I tried Roto Rooter to come out to fix a toilet that was backed up.  They estimated the work to be between $190-$300, depending on what needed to be done once they started.  I told them no thank you, because that seemed pretty pricey for one toilet, and they left.  I called Ward and their plumber came out, gave me tips on plunging the toilet, was very personable and nice, and charged me $95 (one hour/minimum) plus the $25 service fee.  Much more reasonable in my eyes.  I will most definitely call them for all plumbing needs from now on.  Happy to have a knowledgable and trustworthy plumber to know about!

I manage a small , independent store in Nashville and had a water leak on Saturday, December 22. I was able to call Jack Ward & Sons and have the problem fixed the next morning! They were willing to come out the same day, but at my request, we waited until the next morning. Steve did a wonderful job of repairing the leak. He even arrived 10 minutes early ! I highly recommend using them. I was so impressed at their work ethic and willingness to come out on a Sunday morning during the holidays. Thank you!

The receptionist took my call early Friday morning, and I was fortunate enough to have an appointment later that day.  Buddy called about an hour out to confirm we would be home, and showed up on time about 3pm. Bad news, but necessary news: We had to have a new boiler (old one was from 2001).  Buddy went back to the shop, dealt with the infamous Nashville Friday traffic, got the new boiler and came back to install it.  Me, my wife, and our 1.5 month old daughter had to leave by 5pm that day.  We trusted Buddy to test his work while we weren't at our home (that trust developed from Buddy's sincere professionalism and considerate personality).  We left around 5pm, while later that evening Buddy texted and called to let us know that he was there until 7pm (on a FRIDAY night, mind you) trying to troubleshoot an electrical problem, which he finally found (new breaker). He had to wait till the following morning to get the breaker and finish up the boiler (Sat. was his day off).  Buddy texted and called early Sat. morning to confirm, and then came over and finished up the job. I would HIGHLY recommend Jack Ward Pluming.  Excellent service and workmanship--worth every penny.

This company was subcontracted to connect a new sink during a kitchen remodel. On their second trip To get the sink installed I was told that I might need a new garbage disposal if the proper fitting couldn't be found for the existing disposal. The plumber was at my home a total of 1.5 hours including the trip to Loews to get the part or the disposal. He returned and installed the new disposal. The retail price at Loews was $279 and I was charged $399 plus the labor time to go to Loews. Beware of this company charging retail price plus a mark up on the retail price plus their labor time to go buy parts at retail prices. Parts mark ups should never be on top of retail pricing.

I called Jack Ward & Sons because there was water pouring from underneath our kitchen sink in our new-build home our second evening in the house and the builder-supplied warranty plumber was not answering his phone.  One of their guys (I wish I could remember his name!) called me back within minutes.  He made it very clear he was happy to come out for an emergency call; however, he gave me a few things to look for to see if it was something we could handle on our own and avoid the expense.  With his help, I figured out the source and determined I was likely going to be able to fix the issue myself, at least until the builder could address.  He was even kind enough to call me back later that evening to ensure everything was good and we didn't need him to come out.  I so appreciated his help as he really saved us a chunk of money!  We had used the company once before for a minor clog in our rental and I'll be sure to call them for any future plumbing needs.  They did good and reasonably priced work.  Seems to be a great and honest company from all of our experiences.

Best call we ever made!  After being scared to death by another company, Jack Ward came out and gave us a free estimate.  Not only was it 1/2 the cost of the other company, they were honest!  Not over selling, put in a new water heater which was just what we needed.  They weren't afraid to work on an older East Nashville home.  Aaron was awesome!  Highly recommend!

I had a leak in my front yard, which made me wonder if my main water line was leaking.  I dug up my yard to find the spot and sure enough, it was the main water line that had a substantial leak.  I looked on Yelp and found Jack Ward & Sons, so I gave them a call and Andrew was able to come out the next day.  Before he came out, I did my research on what the cost was to replace a main water line, which didn't make me very happy.  When Andrew came out, he said I had the original galvanized pipe, which was now 50 years old, so a simple patch would not hold; I would need to replace the whole line.  He worked with me on the price, which initially made me very happy.  They came out the following day (Saturday) to do the work and even though my yard is not the prettiest thing in the neighborhood, I was extremely impressed with the work Andrew and his other guy did.  I will DEFINITELY be using them for any future plumbing needs.  They even gave me some helpful tips on how I could improve other plumbing aspects of my house, as they were in my crawl space.  Needless to say, I will refer them as long as I live in Nashville.  Thank you for helping improve the efficiency of my home!!

I've had Jack Ward & Sons replaced an outdoor spigot, diagnosed why the pipes in my house were shaking, and service the water heater. The plumbers are always very polite and don't seem to mind that I follow them around and ask a lot of questions.

Every time I've call an appointment has been set up for that day or the next. Their prices seem very reasonable, and they get work done quickly. When the pipes inside my house were shaking they quickly determined it was a Metro Water Issue and only charged me for the service call fee.

Thanks for your help Jack Ward & Sons!

Our neighbors across the street had Jack Ward come out to do some work and I snagged a card while they were there.  We called them to replace the old pipes in our 1935 house (galvanized and cast iron) with pex pipes.  They came and did the work while we were at work and they did a great job.  We had a question about some copper riser pipes in the downstairs bathroom and they came right out to take a look at it and trouble shoot a flow problem.  Very reliable and professional.  We highly recommend them.

Had a small  leak ind the ceiling so I called these people. They had good ratings.   Plumber comes out within the time they said.  He went upstairs for a while  came back down.   Did that about 8 times and then said he couldn't find anything. It was like he got paid by the hour and was wasting time.   My wife pointed to the wet molded ceiling and said, Maybe you could cut a small hole.  He had no drop cloth, nothing to clean the mess  up with and used our kitchen trash can. My wife had to clean the mess.  It took him about ten minutes to fix the small leak in the pipe.   He charged us $140 for labor!  Total bill was 171.50.  Oh ya,  and he doesn't repair  the drywall.   So I'm now left with a hole in the ceiling and I paid the man $140 for a ten minute job.  thank god its a rental and I can at least write it off.  Never again will I  use the company.

Unfortunately had a pretty bad experience with this company. Initially it started decent. Got a visit for the quote. Guy literally spent 30 seconds looking at the job and gave me a quote. It was more expensive than I anticipated but they said they could do it within the week, so I hired them. Then the actual repairman came back a week later. When he arrived he said what's the job? No one told me anything. Which is pretty disappointing considering I got a quote. He then said he'd have to run around finding parts because he had no idea what to expect when coming. Halfway through the repair he said he was going to grab lunch and didn't come back for 2.5 hours. In the end he said the guy who did the quote did a really bad job and he charged me an extra 20% above the original quote. Is it my fault that someone from your company messed up? In the end I paid double what a Google search said I should pay for a similar project. It's unclear whether they are trying to rip you off or are just unorganized/bad at their job. Oh and he forgot to turn my water back on. I paid the bill because I'm not going to bicker. I'll just never hire them again.

I called Jack Wards about three weeks ago about a shower leak on my second floor. Within a day or two they sent someone out. As murphy's law would have it we couldn't get it to leak. The technician took it as a personal challenge and did everything he could to find the problem. After about an hr of trouble shooting we were finally able to recreate the leak. While fixing the problem he explained what he was doing in depth, and even showed me what to do if I ever had a problem with it in the future. When he finished I had him take a look at my kitchen faucet. After a minor mishap he without hesitation replaced my faucet with a new one of the same brand and quality.

My only complaint would be that they hire someone to repair drywall when they are finished with repairs. That is the only thing that kept this from being a 5star review. Definitely will use them again in the future.

What do you do when both your home and another rental property have big plumbing issues at the same exact time? Don't freak out, call this place!

After getting one plumber out who had a very expensive opinion of what we needed to do, then another couple of guys our home warranty co sent out who tried to BS us, we called Jack Ward & Sons. Dean came out the next morning to both houses to give free estimates, which turned out to be several hundred less than the other two. He was extremely friendly and seemed trustworthy. He ended up being able to do major work on our home to fix the problem the same afternoon! He was able to start on our rental a couple of days later for another major job. He is even coming back to seed and straw where he had to dig to replace the grass.

I highly recommend Dean or somebody else from his company. Plumbing problems don't have to be so stressful!

Called with a fairly minor issue; they sent someone right out. Both the dispatcher and the plumber were polite and friendly. The plumber showed me everything he was doing in case I needed to do it again myself. The only reason I'm not rating them five stars is that for a very basic service call that took about half an hour to fulfill, their rate struck me as pricey. But otherwise they were great to work with.

We decided to update two bathrooms and ordered the sinks/cabinet/hardware, etc.  Despite some delays in receiving all the various parts, the folks at Ward have been incredible.  A special thanks to Carolyn and Mike who have been so patient and helpful in working through the delays and always responding quickly when I had a question or concern.  We have used this company several times ofver the past 20 years to do repairs.  This was our first remodel (i know - way overdue!) and they have made it so easy!  Great Nashville Company!!  BTW - the prices have been very reasonable for the amount of time and work they have done.  Thanks!!
