We had a tiny leak from a water heater pipe that caused some damage, where the water mitigation company ended up removing all of the wall and insulation to get it completely clean and dry. They had referred us to Build It Bros and Nick, the owner.

He was very friendly, responsive and answered all my questions about the process of rebuilding our wall. He stopped by to check out the repair project scope right away.  Nick was also able to schedule time for the repair right after the mitigation process was complete.

Robert and Todd, the contractors that did the actual repair, were on-time, courteous, and diligent about installing the wall. Robert was knowledgeable and kept me informed throughout the progress. When he told me he wouldn't be able to finish the job by the end of the first day (based on a time I had set), with a couple hours to go, we worked out a plan on what was my priority. I appreciated his communication. Our water heater needed to be disconnected for the duration of the repair and because I had already scheduled them for the next day, I asked that he just focus on taping up the sheet rock where the water heater needed to go so it had time to dry overnight.

Robert returned the next morning, promptly, and finished his work as well as cleaned up all the debris from the job.

Nick also dropped by to check in on everything and go through my invoice questions. He was able to reduce my final invoice because of less materials needed and less labor time.

Thank you guys for all of your quick and thorough work repairing my garage wall so that we didn't have to go without hot water for more than a day!

Our water heater was outdated and costing a lot, so we decided to have a new energy efficient one installed. We were worried about cost, because money is tight, but Bill at S&S gave us a great quote.

Blake Marshall Plumbing and Heating deserves at least five stars here. We own a second home at Dollar Point, Tahoe City. It's about 50 years old with some crusty plumbing. A plumber we'd had earlier totally botched the job, causing a leak in our second floor shower which sent water down to the first floor. Blake -- recommended to us by a home inspector -- corrected the problem, installed new valves, shower arm, and shower head to our complete satisfaction, and resealed the downstairs toilet which the other plumber incorrectly installed. My wife was also impressed by his fastidiousness: drop cloths wherever he walked, and little plastic booties covering his shoes to avoid bringing any dirt into the house! We'll be calling on him for a couple of other projects too. We recommend Blake Marshall Plumbing and Heating strongly and without hesitation.

Had a blown vacuum breaker on my irrigation system that i don't use and George came out and fixed it on time and honestly.  His original quote was 100$ for the service which is more than reasonable.  After George showed up he realized that the job simply required digging through some dirt and snow to turn off the valve which I couldn't locate since I'm obviously not a plumber.  George ended up only charging us 40$ for the service call!  THAT'S AN HONEST PLUMBER!  THANKS AGAIN GEORGE AND FOR AN HONEST, TIMELY AND RELIABLE PLUMBER GIVE HIM A CALL!

A compressor started making a loud noise and I decided it was time to replace our two zone, 20-year-old HVAC system. I contacted Costco and was forwarded to Troy at RHP Mechanical Systems who provided an estimate with several options. I decided to go with the recommended Lenox units and scheduled the 4-day job. A highly skilled and professional team, including Kenneth, Mike, Chris and Francisco, have become family members during the last 4 days during their on-time, scheduled repair. Their custom fit of the new system to the old ductwork was outstanding and they left no residual mess. Their examination of the crawl space ductwork from the original 20- year-old installation revealed poor craftmanship, which they repaired. Their work was planned so that interruption of air-conditioning during the day was minimal and we experienced no interruption during these hot August nights. Mike (with Troy's approval) made recommendations for a design change not in the original contract, making it a lot easier for me to replace filters. The new units are much quieter and more efficient than the old units. We are pleased RHP customers. If you need a new HVAC, we highly recommend RHP.

I have an outdoor landscape water issue.  To date,  I've had several remediation employees,  plumbers and others on the job.  Your employee, Nicki, was exceptional.  She immediately started finding leaks that no one else could discover.  She was professional and very knowledgeable. I was very impressed.  Thank you.

Literally stole from us. I wrote a check for $100 and later that weekend was informed of issues with my bank account. I contacted this company to let them know and see if they wanted to take cash instead. They agreed to that and said they had deposited the check already. Well the check ended up clearing and I contacted them multiple times via phone and text  about the double payment and never heard back. Hope you got richer with that extra $100!

I normally don't prefer to post any bad reviews, unless the company is really really bad. After reviewing all the GOOD reviews, I decided to call the company. I asked for an experienced technician. The dispatcher said Jason will be the person who is coming out. He is in charge of all the technicians. So I would assume that he will be a good and experienced one. Unfortunately we got bad luck. He came in and looked  at the faucet, can't figure out much. My husband had to suggest how to use the Allen wrench to secure the faucet handle. Then he dramatically changed the original quote I received from the company. He stated the installation of this new faucet is way more complicated. The price for installation  was $125.00. He said it would be $275.00, much higher than original quote. What insanity!  What a ripoff company it is! Not recommended at all.

DO NOT use this company.  I had a leak under my kitchen sink as well as a broken kitchen faucet.  Ken came out to fix the problem.  He replaced the faucet and told us he was sure that he fixed the leak.  After he left, we found that we still had a leak under the sink.  I called him and he came back without issue.  He asked me where the leak was coming from, which is the reason I called him, so he could figure that out. I told him I did not know, but water was gathering in our cabinet below the sink. He fiddled with the faucet and said he fixed the leak.  He left.  A day later we found the leak again.  I let him know we were leaving Tahoe on a Monday and we'd like the work done while we were there.  He didn't call back until Tuesday when we weren't home to meet him (keep in mind when he thought it was new business he called us back right away).  When I finally did reach him, he went off on me. He was angry and shockingly rude.  He had the nerve to tell me that the leak that I called him to fix was not his responsibility to fix, despite charging me over $700 for the visit that took less than two hours.  He was angry and upset with me, saying that I needed to make this job easy for him to fix the leak and I was responsible for diagnosing the issue and pointing out exactly what he was supposed to fix.  He then complained that he had a lot of other jobs to do and wasn't going to waste time coming back to my neighborhood just to fix my problem and he'd only stop by if he was already in that neighborhood (keep in mind I have an active leak that is causing damage to my cabinets).  I was fairly shocked on the phone and I couldn't believe he was speaking to me like this.  This wasn't bad customer service, it was horrible, inexcusable rudeness and a total lack of professionalism.  Rather than let this man back into my house, I was forced to hire someone else to help me, someone who values their clients and treats people with kindness and consideration.  After I told some neighbors about my experience, they told me that they had also heard the same stories from other people about Ken.  I then looked through the reviews and saw that this is not unusual for Ken, I wish I had read the reviews prior to hiring him.  Lastly, his prices are not reasonable, you can do much better with other vendors and have a much more pleasant experience.

so these people used to be ben franklin plumbing.  i had issues with them before the last service call they did.  now they are refusing to cover the 25 year warranty for work they did in 2016.  back to a complaint to the contractors board.  bad enough they screwed up the original work in 2016 and took them over 3 months to finish the job.  several missed appointments, etc....  and would only let one guy at the time, handle finishing up the work.  shameful and disgusting.  complaining to the contractors board.

This is my opinion, based on interaction with the estimator. Bate and switch, bait and switch and price creep. Avoid, unless you want to waste money.
