RHP was not able to fix my heater years ago, it works but has limit switch problems, but I still paid them for their service. I called them again today and Karen called me back and they said that they are unable to a fix my heater. Obviously I wasted my with them the first time and will find someone else that is actually qualified.

What do you do when it's  Friday evening and the exhaust fan for your heater freezes, which leaves you freezing to. It is not a hard part to replace. So we find a place in Reno called Ferguson, which has the motor we need  and they were close for Inventory when we get there. They were people in the store but no one would help us. So we called around and got in touch with RHP Mechanical. The customer service was outstanding. The young man worked hard to find a place with the part we needed what was open. But Ferguson was the only one  that had the part.
So the young man working with us says, hey we do a lot of business with Ferguson, let me see of they will sell me the part and let you pick it up.   In less than 10 minutes he worked out a deal where we can pay RHP and pick up the part from Ferguson. This part was also about 20 dollars cheaper than all the online parts we looked at. The young man named Dave really went out of his way, and seemed to care that we would be without heat for a whole weekend before we could return to Ferguson on Monday. Ferguson on the other hand didn't seem to care about our lack of heat.
Good service, I highly recommend going through RHP if you need work or heating products.

We had an appt with the sales tech from RHP.  When we made the appt we told them what we were looking for.  The sales rep arrived and after tell him what we want he had No experience with it at all.  Said he would ask someone else in the company but then said he just got a text message from one of his workers that he had to respond to.  He proceeded to go sit in his truck and after 20 mins my hubby went out and asked him what was going on.  His response was he was talking to another customer and would be with us shortly.  Hubby said No appt is over you can leave.
Great way to treat a possible new customer!!

I needed a total Heating and AC system replacement and went through the Costco incentive program. I couldn't be happier; The price was competitive. (everything these days is expensive) When I used my Costco charge card, the savings amounted to the cost of four new tires and two fun shopping trips to Costco.
Formerly Ray Heating, I've been using them since the area code was (702)!
1. Real people answer the phone
2. Old-fashioned customer service
3. Experienced and responsive technicians

Came home from vacation to find my air conditioning not working with the temperature in my house in the mid 80s. RHP had someone out the next day and everyone I dealt with was an absolute pleasure. They will definitely be my first call next time I need any service. I can't recommend them enough!

I had RHP out in Dec. to service my new heater. This is only the 2nd year I have used this unit.  That night I started having problems. Our heater room filled with smoke and smelled of oil.  This happened again a week later.  Three weeks after the first visit we still smelled oil.  After taking off the doors, I saw oil had been slowly leaking for weeks.  A service guy came out and determined the fuel pump seal was leaking (it is only two years old) and that it need to be replaced.  Today the service guy showed up and replaced the faulty fuel pump.  After all three visits and all the headaches, this has cost us over $600 on a brand new unit.  Sure doesn't seem right.

I needed a new furnace put in as the one that came with the house was 20 years old now. Last thing I need is the furnace or blower for the AC to go out in the middle of winter or this heat wave we're having now. I saw this deal at Costco for 15% rebate to Costco from the total sale price. I called and got an estimate. The guy was very professional and emailed me a written estimate inc, the Costco rebate. This RHP works on some big commercial jobs as well as residential, and they have a real sense of quality and professionalism about the way the carry out the business and installations.

They are expensive though, compared to the other installers out there, but they really stand behind their work and the first 2 yearly maintenance visits are free. They had several high efficiency furnaces and the new one ran way better than what was in there before. My furnace is in the attic, so that was a pain in the you know what, but RHP handled it like they do this everyday.

I'd recommend RHP Mechanical, just try to get a Costco deal if you are purchasing a whole system, heating or AC. They replaced my water heater at the same time too .... wow, that made a difference!

Very pleased with quality of service and pricing.  We had quotes on a new central air unit.  RHP did not do a high pressure sales pitch.  The work was done quickly and correctly.  We have used them for service on our heater and other systems and they have always been responsive and professional.

Amazingly professional heating and air conditioning installers and service people!!  I knew them as Ray Heating (here in the Reno, NV area for decades!)...now morphed into RHP...same stellar group.  I decided to replace the 30 year old original equipment furnace to increase efficiency and to just get ahead of any failure of this original builders grade furnace. Costco had entered into a 'deal with Lennox and RHP...being a Costco member who values their choices this was a no brainer for me. The salesman, Troy Wilcox, wanted to have a few furnaces for me to choose from but the interior closet arrangement of my home limited the Lennox furnace choice to their most efficient top of the line model, SLP98DFV.  My 30 year old starter home did not warrant such a beauty but since I plan on living here until I go out in a box the slightly higher cost seemed inconsequential to me.  The installation was incredibly simple...the workers were friendly, professional and wonderfully clean, leaving nothing but a delightful new furnace in their wake.  This was April 2011, the tail end of our heating season.  All went well.  Two months after the beginning of our new heating season the furnace was failing in some very odd ways. RHP was out in no time and these were not just parts replacers...their repair people are diagnostic experts giving me their full attention.  The commercial installers who came to conduct the repair were, again, friendly, professional and pursued the repair to a happy conclusion leaving me with nothing but respect and gratitude for them.  We were never without heat during the event, though chilled initially.  I love the quiet soft heat of this furnace...since it is mounted in an internal closet near the bedrooms this made a huge difference in our winter sleeping.  The filter we have on this unit would do a hospital proud.  I want to thank the repair folks we saw and give them all a huge round of applause.  I am recommending RHP to everyone who mentions heating or air conditioning needs...and those talking about remodeling, too.  HOORAY for RHP!!

Nine years ago our furnace went out four days before Christmas and we had a house full of family coming. I called around town and got some quick verbal bids while also asking for a quick install... we were freezing.  Ray Heating had the best bid and we had a whole new heating system in two days, saving the holidays for our family.
Last week my wife and I decided to add central air and we immediately called Ray Heating for a bid, then we got two more bids just for comparison... bam... Ray Heating again had the best number and we had a cool house in just a few days.
Kenny and Andy were awesome professionals and the house was chilling by 2:00 pm... and they're great guys to be around too.

Not very happy  with very high service charges (0ver $1,000.) for installing a part costing $52.
We are charged a high rate because of our location an hour away from the company, but to arrive 3 times because the part was not on the truck is not acceptable.  Further, when the third service visit was complete, our unit failed to produce domestic hot water as was the purpose of the service.  Our rep. tried to get it going, but finally threw in the towell saying someone else would have to look at it.  We never heard another peep from RHP.  We won't use them again.

A compressor started making a loud noise and I decided it was time to replace our two zone, 20-year-old HVAC system. I contacted Costco and was forwarded to Troy at RHP Mechanical Systems who provided an estimate with several options. I decided to go with the recommended Lenox units and scheduled the 4-day job. A highly skilled and professional team, including Kenneth, Mike, Chris and Francisco, have become family members during the last 4 days during their on-time, scheduled repair. Their custom fit of the new system to the old ductwork was outstanding and they left no residual mess. Their examination of the crawl space ductwork from the original 20- year-old installation revealed poor craftmanship, which they repaired. Their work was planned so that interruption of air-conditioning during the day was minimal and we experienced no interruption during these hot August nights. Mike (with Troy's approval) made recommendations for a design change not in the original contract, making it a lot easier for me to replace filters. The new units are much quieter and more efficient than the old units. We are pleased RHP customers. If you need a new HVAC, we highly recommend RHP.

The only reason I gave them two stars is because the expansion tank on my hot water heater (they installed) got puncture hole and was warping my hardwood floor.  They sent someone immediately.  Then it all went downhill.  They charged $220.00 for service call which seemed reasonable. But to put new tank on was a nightmare.  I called four times for a written estimate which never came.  The lady on phone said not to worry was 200-250.  I finally said ok.  Bill was $457.00.  So total of $677.00 for repair.  I was subcontractor for 4o+ years.   Not giving an estimate is not knowing your job.   I'll never use them again.  PLUS while repairman was here he said my furnace filter was wrong size, imagine his embarrassment when he saw RHP installed and wrote filter size down.

This outfit saved my tail several times.

My first house had a furnace installed by another firm back in 2011 or so:

Lennox Elite Oil Fired Furnace
Model #02305-140/154-6A
SERVICE # 4609L49697

I had nothing but issues with the installation and I was told by the folks that installed it that it was an 'oil line' issue and I would need to spend 10s of thousands to repair it.

I called RHP for a second opinion and voila, they noticed that the installation of the lines was done backward, and boom! All worked just fine.

RHP saved me needless stress, costly needless repairs.

I can't thank them enough for sending Dennis their Furnace expert.

This company should be avoided at all cost.  They came to my neighbors house to fix his furnace when it was really cold.  They said the could nor figure it putt but they did some little thing and hoped it worked.  It cost $500 and did not work.  Do we had them out again. This neighbor is a shut in so I went to talk to the technician.  He had on bib overalls and looked extremely unprofessional.  I told him I really hoped he could fix it this time since my neighbor had no heat. I left him to do his work.  I went to the garage where he was working.  He was o. The phone calling someone because he could not figure it out.  His solution was to turn off the heat I. The main part of the house and see if the heat would go to the back.  After a few minutes I felt heat I. The back do I went to tell him it was working.  He was I. His van on the phone.  I stood by his window waiting for him to acknowledge me.  He did not even look at me.  So I tapped on his window.  He still would not look.  So I tried his door and it was locked.  Finally he came out and I told him it was working.  He said good.  The next thing I noticed is that we was in his van driving off without a word.  2 days later it stopped working. So I called another company.  They came in a uniform. They diagnosed the issue in minutes and had it fixed in a couple hours.  It's still working.  So stay away from RHP
